i HATE how sjm cannot maintain things that she's established in her books to save her goddamn life like holy shit. not to sound unhinged or whatever, but with every single new book that comes out, something that was established in the book prior is ALWAYS undone. after book one, tamlin's character and his relationship with lucien was completely demolished, and don't even get me STARTED on feyre's relationship with her sisters. it's like the whole last goodbye thing in book 1 between feyre and nesta suddenly meant nothing. like- why write that if you're just going to ignore all of it in the second book??
and then in acofas, that whole scene between tamlin and rhys where he's just GOING AT IT towards tamlin is so unhinged. meanwhile, at the climax of the previous book, there's this whole thing about tamlin wishing for feyre to be happy by saving her mate's life, who is btw his ENEMY, and then this whole thing about forgiveness and shit, only for rhys to pull this in the novella?? like what was the point?? why would you write this shit just to pretend it doesn't matter a book later??
obviously, i know WHY this happens. so many things are completely unraveled in this series for the sake of dramatics. which btw makes me SO mad. so many key themes in the story are just gone whenever sjm changes her mind so instead of being consistent, you get this hot mess.

i can't stop thinking that the horrible stories we hear about what happens in prison are only a fraction because there's so many we don't know about because theh got disappeared completely
[TW for police brutality and ableism under the cut]
my family and i will never forget when one of my cousins got grabbed with his group of friends and gave confusing reasons for it, and kept them locked in awful conditions. one of the boys was diabetic and was in need of an injection and worsened due to neglect. he needed medical intervention and was not given any.
they were all finally released after the boy died.

Does anyone remember the internet when MLP first got popular and people online were insisting They were swearing up and down that the show was for adults, and that it was marketed towards kids but was Definitely For adults, full of mature humor and dark concepts and deep complex characters. and then nowadays you go look up an episode of MLP: FiM and the episode synopsis is something like Pinkie Pie Lost Her Balloon 🎈💔

Imagine actually being so evil that you'd rather make sure your writers suffer financially instead of just paying them the pay they deserve.
Hell truly has some seats reserved already, holy shit.

one of my beloved friends (very autism) was in.. not denial but ignorance sounds mean. but that abt themself last time you brought up the raads r test so i sent it to the gc (full of autism) and they were like psh. fake test no one could get below 100. they know now but i think about it so much
The thing is. When you take the autism test. And you see your score is in the 100 to 160 range. You think. Oh this is probably the middle? Middle autism. Tinge of autism. Your relatives calling you bright but shy autism. Just a whiff of autism. And then you see the score ranges. And you go. This test is lying to me there is absolutely no way the majority of people score under 65. The 65 number is such a low cutoff and so many of these experiences are clearly universal a score under 65 is something they made up in a lab. People who score under 65 are obviously scoring just under that mark from 59 to 64 and they’re also obviously lying or purposely misrepresenting their experiences as less severe than they are. And then you find out there are real people who get a 20 or 30 or 7 on it. And you go. Ah

One thing that keeps confusing me is that they claim ghost files costs several hundreds of thousands of dollars per season. I’ve tried to wrap my head around this ever since the announcement because flying a crew of 6 or so people out for two days and renting out the location COULD NOT be costing that much unless they’re either lying or blowing money on first class flights and expensive food/accommodations and even THEN do I not see them breaking 100k on a single episode. Dear lord hire an accountant I’m half convinced someone’s laundering money

Jason to Bruce privately in the Cave: “That was the stupidest decision I’ve ever seen you make. Do you really think they’re going to want to be your friends once they find out the truth? If you could unclench for ONE minute this all could’ve been avoided—”
Jason at the Justice League meeting on the Watchtower ten minutes later: “If anyone even LOOKS at Batman I’ll rip their throat out. None of you fuckers understand how many favors he’s doing your sorry asses. If you’re too stupid to listen to Batman, that’s your prerogative. He’s the only thing keeping this damn satellite in ORBIT—”

hey btw if you're in the USA at 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4, they're testing the emergency broadcast system. your phone is probably going to make a really loud noise, even if it's on silent. there's a backup date on the 11th if they need to postpone it.
if you're not in a safe situation and have an extra phone, you should turn that phone completely off beforehand.
additionally, if you're like me, and are easily startled; i recommend treating it like a party. have a countdown or something. be surrounded by your loved ones. take the actions you personally need to take to make yourself safe.
i have already seen mockery towards any person who feels nervous about this. for the record, it completely, completely valid to have "emergency broadcast sounds" be an anxiety trigger. do not let other people make fun of you for that. emergency sounds are legitimately engineered to make us take action; those of us with high levels of anxiety and/or neurodivergence are already pre-disposed to have a Bad Time. sometimes it is best to acknowledge that the situation will be triggering for some, and to prepare for that; rather than just saying "well that's stupid, it's just a test."
"loud scary sound time" isn't like, my favorite thing, but we can at least try to prevent some additional anxiety by preparing for it. maybe get yourself a cake? noise cancelling headphones? the new hozier album? whatever helps. love u, hope you're okay. we are gonna ride it out together.
