Last one then I'm Fleabagged out:
Imagine how different the series would be if we just got a breakup scene with Feyre and Tamlin? Tamlin saying he loves her Feyre like "I know" 🥲🥲🥲

you cant ever let yourself forget what it felt like to be 15. how adults treated you. being treated without a shred of respect because people think youre too young to have thoughts and feelings of your own. the lack of autonomy. you cant ever forget that because if you do you might become the kind of adult who treats kids like theyre not people

feyre is such a funny character to me because she gets mad at other people (in her internal monologue) for thinking that rhysand - the guy that portrayed himself as a villain - is a bad guy….while pretending that he tortured her when she was in the night court….girl stand up use your brain

Okay, but why did every High Lord bring one, maybe two companions to the meeting, while Rhysand and Feyre invited all of their pals and extended family? And allowed them to speak as if any of them have any real experience on ruling a court or actual authority to do so? That was so fucking wild. And the other High Lords just, accepted it? Out of fear? You’re telling me that six fucking High Lords couldn’t put Rhysand in his place, when it is canon that Tamlin alone can rival him?
And they all willingly helped bring Rhysand back? You’re telling me no one thought that “Hey, maybe we’re better off without him!”? Even though he was evil personified and a fucking pain in everyone’s ass? Aren’t the High Lords supposedly cunning and selfish? Was no one afraid that he might come back with a sliver of their power like Feyre did? Not even a knife to my throat could convince me to help resurrect that winged rat. I’d throw a ball celebrating his death the moment I got back in my court.

tbh Rhys whole "I can't forgive him for how he treated u after UtM" about Lucien was... literally being abused. Rhys knew it, Feyre knew it, the readers knew it but see only Rhysand is allowed to be a male victim of anything ever and it's pretty obvious with how he treats Lucien and keeps putting Lucien back in a position to interact with his abuser *for* him

I am absolutely certain that had Feyre played her cards right, she would've been worshipped as a goddess in Prythian. Think about it: this seemingly ordinary human girl with no power whatsoever walks right into the den of the faerie who has tormented Prythian for decades and by some miracle, she frees them all. They all see her die. They hear her neck snap. And by another miracle, she is brought back to life, even more beautiful than before. No doubt there were people who believed she was an reincarnation of the Goddess herself. Not to mention that Feyre and Tamlin's story is a retelling of Eros-Psyche, and Psyche does become the goddess of the human soul. She's Feyre Cursebreaker, savior of Prythian. Her wedding to a High Lord would have been presided over by the Head Priestess of Prythian. She could've had temples in her name. They might have even made her High Queen had she willed it. She might not have been as powerful magic-wise as the High Lords, but politically? For a brief time, she was the most powerful person in all of Prythian. Had Ianthe been her position, she would be High Queen of Prythian right now. But instead SJM focused on her magical abilities, claiming that despite having only one drop of each High Lord's magic, she is just as powerful as them. She doesn't understand that a woman learning to survive in a world full of men far more powerful than her is not anti-feminist, it's compelling. Example: Jude Duarte. If Feyre had had half a brain, she would've used her political influence to create equality between the High Fae, lesser faeries, and humans. But instead, her political influence was overlooked in favor of tHe MoSt PoWeRfUl HiGh LoRd To EvEr LiVe. Now that is absolutely NOT feminism: a woman's story being overshadowed by a toxic man.

I was very amused when through fandom events I realized starfall is supposed to take place at the first day of SPRING. How could I not insert a lil Tamlin? Works for either @starfallweek or @feyreweekofficial

all those ‘and I would’ve married you if you’d stuck around’ posally tiktok edits are getting it wrong. sally’s the one who didn’t want the palace. poseidon would’ve married her if he could’ve.

Another parallel between Percy and Luke is how both of their dads seem to want to break that typical rules just to be there for them but can't do anything about it but watch and help at the sidelines. Poseidon even told Hermes directly that getting involved would cause more problems than help at all.
After Hermes failed to help his son and his son's mother however, he actively decided that he should stay away from everything and would rather not get directly involved like what his uncle advised him all those years ago.
Poseidon on the other hand is trying his best to help his son and his son's mother even if he decided to stay away before and despite knowing it might get worse if he does intervene.
It's because Hermes had already lost everything when his family broke apart while Poseidon has nothing left to lose with the inevitable threat to his.
The parallels aren't just between Luke and Percy. The parallels extend to their fathers.

something about poseidon surrendering to his brother to keep percy alive. to poseidon vouching for percy when the gods want to vote to kill him. all the way to poseidon leaving his palace, allowing his kingdom to be damaged because percy needs his help.
something about poseidon trying so hard to be a good dad, even in the face of zeus' rules. something about percy recognizing that. and going from "im sally jackson's son" to "our parents aren't perfect, but they're trying" something something something

Can you talk about how Poseidon gradually got closer to Percy as they talked until he finally had the courage to touch him? How he seemed like he didn't want to let Percy go, but he needed to, so he removed the band-aid and threw the pearl on the floor because he wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise?

the whole speech—your father sent me to tell you it's all right. your father is here. he's always been. it's so hard for him to stand back and see you struggle. he's here and he's so very proud. trust him. trust yourself. just breathe—gets to me actually because of how adamant percy's been about being abandoned by his father. one of my fav moments in percy and poseidon's relationship doesn't even stem from their interactions face-to-face but percy saying that he doesn't "have any memories of him, just this sort of warm glow, maybe the barest trace of his smile." idk i just. love the when the god-as-parent / parent-as-god Has substance yk like there's a faith in love. you don't know if that love will be reciprocated but when it is... UGH it's delicious

Poseidon who waited for Percy for as long as he could. Poseidon who would’ve built Sally a palace at the bottom of the sea. Poseidon who wants to be there for Percy but believes the safest thing to do for his son is stay away. Poseidon whose family resides on Olympus but whose heart and soul walk on the Earth.
