There is another artistically incredible thing I noticed abt the first Httyd movie.

The movie, it's from Hiccup's perspective. And it conveys his perspective throughout, in details both subtle and clear.

Like the Book of Dragons clip; Chilling and terrific with sound effects and feels induced exactly as Hiccup was imagining it. That scene alone gives me the shivers and the way it ends on Night Fury (I absolutely love the fear inducing Night Fury theme from the first movie). I've been noticing that every single piece of score fit the emotions and situation Hiccup was in, affirming his perspective, his experiences, conveyed through the movie as if they were the viewers' own. And that scene when Hiccup is listening to his father speak just before entering the arena to face Hookfang, the way the lighting and expressions and sound of Stoick's voice was set apart from everything and felt resonated, Hiccup's dread and anticipation and anxiety and worry and fear were palpable. He was planning to do the exact opposite of what his father, the one he's been trying to make proud his entire life, was hoping and oof that few seconds HURT!

And with how the background score and scenes were animated so splendidly, there's one very subtle but greatly well integrated detail I just have to mention

If we take a note of all the dragons throughout the movie, there's a gradual pattern. The movie starts and every dragon looks wild and dangerous and animalistic. Beastly and emotionless, except for displaying an urge to cause harm or look vicious.

Aside from Hookfang. Every other dragon didn't look nearly as expressive and clear in intention as Hookfang did. And if you notice, he was the only dragon in the beginning of the movie whom Hiccup made a direct encounter with and sassed at. We saw Hookfang being angry and vicious and even worried and scared when he ran out of firepower and got captured, he seemed to display emotions more clearly than any other dragon. But he was also the only dragon so far Hiccup had a direct communicative encounter with. The movie is from Hiccup's perspective and we saw Hookfang from Hiccup's perspective.

But! It gets better. If you notice or think about it, try to remember the details in the movie with respect to the dragons, all the dragons earlier on looked wild and deadly and nothing else. Just wild and dangerous and vicious, the opinion every viking has on them, the opinion Hiccup during those earlier moments had on them.

But then he met Toothless. And it all began to change. Notice how the dragons seem to become more and more expressive and emotionally intelligent or humanly as Hiccup and Toothless' friendship proceeds to grow. How the snappy Terrible Terrors would gradually start to look like small little dragons who are mischievous and naughty and silly little guys, how the quick and swift Deadly Nadder started to look like a playful and curious friend, how the once sneaky and scary Zippleback who seemed to set it's target on everyone and everything became expressive and displayed worry and fear, how the powerful and dangerous Gronkle gradually started to look more kind and friendly and sleepy etc.

This happened with literally every single dragon during the movie. The more Hiccup began to understand them and got closer to Toothless and realized they are living beings who have individual personalities and feelings and are misunderstood, the more these mighty creatures felt more alive and expressive to the viewers. And this was done without the slightest change in the dragons' models or designs. They conveyed Hiccup's perspective splendidly throughout the movie.

hehehehehehe y'all thought i was done

ok so @judyismydog brought up this point on one of my posts abt Peter and Edmund, and i have SO many thoughts about how, throughout "Prince Caspian", we see Edmund and Peter's relationship growing closer, while Susan and Lucy grow further apart!!!!

i think "Prince Caspian" does a really great job of showing how the siblings' dynamics have changed because of their time in Narnia without really showing us anything. We get the feeling that the four trust one another more, they have each other's backs, they're a unit.

However, with Peter and Edmund, it's like they have a mental connection, they're able to tell the other's next move and communicate without words. Peter's much more trusting of Edmund, he believes him (as compared with how he acted in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", when he called Edmund a liar).

Meanwhile, you have Susan and Lucy, who have gone from having a very close sister relationship to now having a bit more of a struggle connecting. Susan's struggling to believe Lucy when she says that Aslan has a plan, she's more hesitant and uncertain. This is compared to the first movie, where Susan, after a bit of hesitation, followed after Lucy and followed her lead.

this divide + closeness is shown REALLY well whenever we see the four together after meeting up with Caspian!

First off, Edmund and Peter stick together as much as possible. They rarely separate, always standing beside each other or running after one another. The only time they are apart is when Edmund goes to confront Miraz, and then he's right back at Peter's side.

Meanwhile, Lucy and Susan start separating much more.

This shot of Edmund, Peter, Caspian, and Lucy had me noticing something:

whenever they're in their throne lineup, before the battle, either Susan or Lucy is missing, and Caspian is standing in their place. Here, he's standing in Susan's place, and then, before the actual battle, he's in Lucy's place.

Susan separates her and Lucy when they're looking for Aslan, staying behind while Lucy goes on ahead (perhaps a bit of unintentional foreshadowing to how Susan stays behind in our world while Lucy goes onto Aslan's Country 👀)

During the duel, Edmund is pretty much GLUED to Peter's side whenever he's not fighting. He's supporting him, both emotionally and physically, and Peter is revealing some of his worst fears to his brother ("what happens in our world when you die here?"), showing how much trust he has in his brother!

now I'm getting into how the costumes show this separation/connection, because i really don't think it was intentional, but there's a lot to discuss there!

this shot from their entrance into Aslan's How really shows it perfectly:

Susan and Lucy's costumes in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" were very cohesive, usually matching tones of blues and greens, but here, from the moment they step into their Narnian clothes, they're already separated.

like, look at the outfits we saw the two wear in the first movie:

they matched!!! even though their coronation cloaks were different colors, they were still a pair, and it was obvious.

but not in "Prince Caspian"...

Lucy is in the very vibrant red orange dress, whereas Susan is in a much cooler purple. yes, the colors compliment each other, but the vibrancy of Lucy's dress vs. the muted tones of Susan's dress really separates the two of them, as well as separating Lucy from her brothers. However, we see throughout the movie that Lucy's relationship with her brothers is still quite close, and they defer to her quite a bit.

Peter and Edmund's shirts are in matching tones of dark purple-ish brown and blue. They go together, there's a clear connection there. Those shirts were probably made in their early years as rulers, and whoever made them probably made them for the kings to match together.

(also, Peter and Lucy's outfits match in color almost perfectly, and Lucy's brighter red orange compliments Edmund's brighter blue, leaving Susan the odd one out slightly as her purple isn't necessarily the right shade to match with Edmund's blue)

then, of course, you have Peter and Edmund's armor matching almost identically.

and i've gone into the outfits at the end of the movie, prior to their return to our world, but i need to discuss them again:

Susan and Lucy's colors once again feel disjointed compared to Peter and Edmund.

Lucy's darker green and bright floral pattern really contrasts against Susan's pale blue and very light (i think it's white) floral pattern. Just like how Lucy's red orange dress separated her from her siblings, this time, it's Susan's pale blue dress that separates her from the other three.

(which is really interesting considering the outfits we see for a brief moment during the parade at the end of the movie)

like once again the colors are a bit disjointed, but even then, with Lucy's pink dress and Susan's red, they still match! the styles of their dresses are similar, the sleeves are similar styles, even their hair is styled the same!!

during this last scene, it's so different.

Peter and Edmund match. Peter's almost grey blue shirt with Edmund's dark green pairs perfectly, and if Lucy was standing between them, or beside Edmund, they'd be a very cohesive group.

and just look at how perfectly Lucy and Edmund match:

their colors compliment each other, even though Lucy's dress is a more vibrant green, the more muted light green on her sleeves pairs with Edmund's!!

But Susan's dress, being so light, it's almost jarring. The color, the style, it doesn't match her siblings at all, which I think is really interesting

(also kind of connected but not really, the dress Lucy wears when she dreams of being Susan in "The Dawn Treader" is basically a version of this dress, the light blue and white floral pattern, and now i'm going to cry)

and finally, the image that started it all:

LOOK at how they're standing! they're still in their throne order, but there's like the smallest bit of room between Peter and Edmund, their arms are pretty much touching, but Susan and Lucy have quite a bit of pace between them, they're not standing close together like they did when they were in Narnia.

yeah i've just over-analyzed this entire movie and now i'm very emotional and need 3-5 business days to recover <3

so before they realize they are together and are allowed to…. kiss and stuff they def like shower together. like under One shower head. entirely nude, dicks bumping and they’re rock hard obv but neither acknowledges it because it’s normal for them anyways. super normal to get incredibly turned on my your very platonic friend. Then whenever one of them has like muscle cramps the other is INSTANTLY there to massage and kiss better and hold them. james whimpers so prettily sirius also gets bricked up. for james it’s sirius’ face, all contorted and in anguish and then esp when he starts relaxing again, james gets sooo flustered🤭 james also helps undress and dress sirius whenever he goes all noodle-y after arm day. sirius is the one with the protein bars in every bag and jacket and gym pants and james is the one prepping their shakes and meals.

so yes if sirius thinks something tastes funny he’s like ??jamie, did you do something different today with the shake? -uh no love, same as every tuesday. cinnamon flavor. -mgh it tastes kinda off -lemme try? -mhm cmere *tilts james’ head back where he’s sitting on the gym bench and spits it in his mouth* -hm no it tastes normal to me dude -…ok again (and then when it dribbles down james’ chin sirius licks it all up and clean like a good dog)

VERY into sweat. half their wardrobe consists of compression shirts and tights and jerseys and gym shorts and the way sweat smells on those materials mixed with their body scent drives them INSANE. james is a armpit sniffer and sirius has days where he sifts trough james freshly used laundry and locks himself in his room for 20 minutes. he’s so obvious about it and james Knows it. hears him too. He swears he wears hoodies for cardio warm up to get hotter quickly so he can start quicker but really??🫢 it’s just for sirius and we all know it. sirius wears those hoodies the same day for movie night at home where they cuddle up on the sofa.

they probably have some type of lotion or cream for their sore muscles that they rub into each other. OH also one of those massage guns probably. maybe once they get together they defile that one too some day. maybe sirius binds james to the bedposts and has a go at him edging him for an hour or so because he’s simply so fascinated and turned on. he comes untouched two times during the process. james nearly passes out when sirius finally makes him cum :)<3

okay so. tenma thoughts. like 90% of this is conjecture. so like, I remember I read through act 1 summer in the like. first 3 days of playing a3 or something. was wild. and I remember loving all of the characters and being rly attached to yuki (Gender) and I enjoyed tenma’s dynamic with him + his growth from start to finish! like wow… it’s so cool how he did all that adlibbing for the closing show, and yuki’s “…thanks” at the end was so good!! and then like months later I reread act 1 summer and I was like wait. wait. what the fuck do you mean tenma got a black eye and came back to mankai and went. it’s fine nbd. what??? (side note I think this vaguely reflects how I think tenma might, if ever, think on the situation—he’d be like yeah joining this troupe was a life changing experience and I really grew from it and then years later he’ll be like oh huh the black eye was a little fucked up)

it just like, really interests me since. the story never addresses it again but to me who’s been mulling over the details, it rly… paints a picture? here’s all my rambling conjectures.

like I think I’ve talked abt this already but I’ve been thinking abt the fact that both muku & tenma just… picked up a flyer for romijuli. muku makes sense—he seems to love book and stories and stuff, so I think he’d really like to be around veludo way and theatre? and obviously he likes princes so the concept it totally up his alley. but for tenma all he says is the play is bizarre for the all-male cast, and then he… goes and sees it anyways. I have to imagine it’s not the only play he saw on veludo way… to me I think he must’ve been thinking about his like trauma related to the stage again, and come to veludo way to see if he’d see anything that helped him in that regard. and by chance, he saw romijuli, and was entranced by the adlib for the closing night performance.

so like we can guess vague what brought him to veludo way but. what rly made me think about it again is in act 2 summer, tenma says that prepping for audition, normal summer practice, and training kumon is “nothing” to him, and then igawa says “back then, you couldn’t even sleep” which… hm. my personal thought is that tenma visiting veludo way was specifically done during like. a perhaps self-mandated personal break. because he turns down a movie offer when joining the troupe but igawa makes it sound like tenma’s schedule in his younger years was way more hellish. and seeing as how he’s never been to any school events… nowadays in mankai he gets to go to them, so I have to imagine like. tenmas parents were overseas, he got a magical break from work, decided to capitalize on it, joined mankai, and decided to basically. choose himself a little more. or choose natsugumi as the thing he prioritizes most. and living there actually like… frees up his time in some ways. I mean it’s clear tenma still takes filming work but I’d suspect it’s at a much more healthier rate. im not saying his parents were deliberately overworking him but I am saying that I think tenma was prone to overworking himself and they were like yeah that’s normal.

anyways all of this gets much more :/ when you remember that tenma’s like label / agency is literally “sumeragi agency” and so like his parents like explicitly manage his career. like not just in a parent way in a literal like agency way. and it shows in the way that tenmas parents only realize something is happening when he rejects a movie offer.

which. im obsessed with the exchange where izumi is like. did your dad punch you because you went behind his back? and tenma was like no. he punched me bc i rejected the movie offer without telling him anything about it. like the way he just reframes their relationship as not like a parenting thing but like a Career Thing. I think about it.

and then tenma tells izumi something like. then i apologized, we had a serious talk, and i got him on board. considering that statement we can imagine the series of events went. tenma went home, got IMMEDIATELY punched, apologized with a growing bruise on his face, and then kept it together and talked about his desperation for theatre to his father. it’s like. okay. okay. they’re lucky that somehow the injury healed before it could show up on stage.

and the only time tenma is actually resentful is like, “they’ve ignored my existence long enough as it is? and NOW they decide it’s time to speak?” when they’re coming to get him to quit the play. and I solely believe he would’ve NEVER said something like that out loud unless he felt backed into a corner about not wanting to leave natsugumi + theatre. like he makes that blog post about it even tho he literally didn’t want to sell tickets based on his fame. it’s just rly indicative of a sort of like. desperation he’s feeling. when he returns with a black eye he’s already gotten permission for doing the play which is why I think he’s so calm about it. like he hisses and says the ice pack is cold but he doesn’t once say that his injury hurts.

when they’re finding out abt tenma going behind his parents back, tenma mentions that his parents are basically uncontactable when they’re overseas so igawa’s basically his guardian, which makes it sting all the more when his mother attends the closing night performance and is like tenma! you should call us more often! and his father approves bc he’s like oh tenma you’ve grown as an actor. bc like yeah. he rly only seems invested in tenma’s Career over anything else. this is part of why I think comedy is so good for tenma—he describes that grade school play he messed up at as his first dose of like, real humiliation, and I think like. having great parents who Expect you to be better than them and never fuck up is not the greatest way to cope with failure. what also really gets me is like.

the story doesn’t ever bring this up explicitly, so I assume it’s not an intentional comparison, but the fact that tenma goes to paris for a WEEK and calls yuki while he’s on break from filming is just so. like tenma basically says he can’t contact his parents at all when they’re filming overseas, and here’s tenma, filing overseas, taking the moment to check in on yuki and natsugumi.

i think that’s what really gets me? bc everything you see of tenmas parents r like. they’re impossibly cool and competent movie stars. they’re still out of tenmas acting reach. and then you see tenma and how just. deeply earnest he is and how much he loves mankai and it’s Iike. they don’t know. they don’t know the treasure they have that they haven’t raised.

SLJHSJD i remember you being really unnerved by the black eye at the time of your first read tho, i suppose the overwhelming emotions of the rest made you forget about how strongly you initially reacted.

But yeah i could imagine Tenma having the same thought process of like, burrying it at the time because he managed to get such a nice time, that it's only years later that it would catch up to him how fucked up the black eye thing was.

I don't have any like, details and deep dive to say paragraph by paragraph, but i do agree with the timeline of event/the way it probably all ended up happening. Makes a lot of sense with the infos we do have.

Anyway nice catch on the sumeragi agency thing, it must be way more controling and yeah.

And i think that yeah the framing on it being about his carreer probably works both as like, well, a bit of the reality that his family relationship isn't as much a family one as a work one, but also in a way to justify to himself that what happened was because he was unprofessional. Compartimentalizing that it wasn't a father punching a son (reprehensible) but a boss punching an employe (bad, but if the employe misbehaved, it's a ground to discuss) (this is not my thoughts in the parenthesis, but what i think Tenma would think, it's bad either way lol) It creates an emotional distance that's easier to process, especially since his parents set up such a distance on a family standpoint.

Everything you say about him feeling backed in a corner is on point i think. Also completely agreed on the whole next paragraph about how his parents are uncontactable but yet seems to care the moment it is about progressing Tenma's carreer.

Oh the Paris's communication thing you bring up is actually so interesting??? i could totally see it being intentional in a way though, it really puts into perspective how much Tenma considers the troupe his new family and also how he is deliberately distancing himself from the way his parents' raised him. It's fair to think that, like, a lot of the way he was originally behaving with the Summer Troupe is stuff he picked up from filming stuff, but he probably got a lot of it from his parents as well, so him deliberately walking away from the way his parents's taught him how to support (or therefore, lack of support) people, in order to find his own way, deliberately challenging the way his parents had treated him… makes a lot of sense to me.

And god that last paragraph/last sentence is making me teary. yeah. We are built up that his parents are so damn cool and everything as movie stars, but in the end they're terrible parents who don't even know the Tenma we know and love and care about. They don't know the type of person Tenma is nowadays, they probably never discussed it other than on Tenma's accomplishment on stage, rather than Tenma's reframing his whole life.

Man it's just. really sad and heartbreaking. I'm glad Tenma has Mankai now, but talk about shitty parents….

Yesterday, i saw this taeyong's interview and make me confused. He said "to be honest i don't have much interest in the opposite sex" is he just said that he's gay?? When i read ur blog and said thay ty straight, i agree because i think like that too. But now after saw this interview idk, what do u think abt this??

When fans were lol-sing about Doyoung vehemently denying having a girlfriend (Master in the house lawyers episode), even a hypotetical one, some shared a video of an Itzy's member answering the question "do you want to date?" with "what idol would answer that he/she wants to date?"

Idols have to deny dating or even being interested in dating.

The interview is from late 2017, NCT is nowhere popular yet and Taeyong is not cleared from the accusations.

I do believe him not dating in school and during early post-debut days though. It doesn't make him automatically gay. He can potentially be asexual or demisexual. He longs for the "deep One True Love" kind of relationship (he mentioned it when he discussed a movie with this plot), so he isn't aromantic at least. From what I've seen at Woman Street Fighter and the effect of Ariana in a piggy dress on him, he is hardly asexual as well.

Taeyong studied at an all-boys school, he was and still is shy. He has female friends (BoA, RV girls), but again, not like he can say it aloud. Because he grew up with an older sister who took care of him, he knows how to approach and communicate with girls (he had no problem with participants of his variety shows). But evidently he has problems with getting close quickly or casual dating for sex. The late start of sexual life (late 20-s, early 30-s) is not unusual in Korea/Japan. I once watched an interview with a Japanese "home sex-therapist", an older woman who took her clients through the journey of developing courage to intimately touch a woman.

They would not get a knock off version of m&ms bc its cheaper lol. When it comes to electronic and clothing tho, Lacey is more likely to get generic brand, mostly bc those are expensive shit. Not sure abt Jin tho...

who upgrades their iPhone/Android every single year? Neither. Lacey would need her phone to be almost unusable for her to get a new one, like lagging SO much, battery dying too quick or screen too cracked to read.

who complains about their day? who listens? Neither would complain but Lacey is more likely to listen and Jin complains. Jin would listen too but u can't catch her complaining unless its a very big very important thing, even then, its unlikely bc she doesnt wanna burden other with her problems.

who gets shit-faced drunk forcing the other to drive? Lacey would drive bc she refuses to drink in public. U go to a bar with her and see a margarita glass in her hands ask oh what is that? She says its juice 🧍‍♀️ she would only drink somewhere she feels 100% safe, and would refuse to leave home when drunk, unless someone who is with her did not drink at all and is in a clear state of mind to protect her if something happens.

who sends the other 20 tiktok's in a day and expects them to react to every single one? LACEY. cute stuff, relatable stuff, funny stuff, ANIMALS!!! U bet shes spamming him w them like haha this is so us. Jin would send too but def not as often as Lacey lol.

who goes to Target for one thing and walks out having spent $400? Lacey, only if a worker pressures her tho. If theyre like hey wanna get this its on sale, and shes like no thanks but theyre like its very good and very cheap!! She would buy it bc she has a hard time saying no in general ;;

who pays for the dinner? who pays for the drinks? Lacey pays dinner, Jin pays drinks!

during the movie previews, who's the first to say "i wanna see that movie"? Lacey bc she wants to spend more time w her man ❤️

who shoves the other into the pool fully clothed? Lacey doesnt have the guts and I feel like Jin wouldnt want to inconvinience her.. but DJ would 💀

who has to have the corner piece of a cake/brownie/etc Lacey would, like the bread one, she would want Jin to get the good shit

For CAS, this is kinda long, but the first fanfic I ever read was homestuck John/Dave. Saw someone saying you should Not read this fic if you ship johndave, thought ‘well I don’t ship that so I guess I should read this fic?’ I was mistaken

Starts w them being internet friends, dave has insomnia and John sends him some recorded sounds to help, as a prank he includes the hypnosis techniques he’s been learning, but the hypnosis works and dave doesn’t notice so he tells John the tapes really help and asks for more and more. Dave comes to stay at johns house and john thinks Dave must be lying abt not noticing the hypnosis so he tests it out by using the trigger phrases and realizes he can put dave in a state where he has total control over dave, he just uses it to make dave watch nic cage movies w him without complaining but gets bored so he snaps dave out of it, but not without making it so that dave can’t jack off w/o picturing nic cage. Dave runs to the bathroom terrified and confused and John listens to him jack off while shouting “Nick!” Then comes into the bathroom to make fun of him only to find the place covered in cum and Dave passed out on the toilet. He freaks out cuz he doesn’t want his dad to find him like that, so he wakes Dave up in his hypnosis state and makes him clean the bathroom, then decides he should clean himself and Dave so puts them both in the shower and makes Dave suck him off (“clean him w his mouth”). After that John puts their clothes back on, tucks Dave in, and wakes him up and convinces him he fell asleep during the movie and dreamed the whole thing. After that, johns dad gives Dave some condoms in a weird misunderstanding and Dave doesn’t know what to do w them so he just puts them in his bag. John finds the condoms and thinks Dave wants to have sex w him, so he waits until his dad is out and makes a move. The story is really clear that Dave does not want to have sex but John thinks he does, and right at the start John says “I don’t want to hear anything coming out of your mouth that isn’t a sexy little meow” without realizing that Dave was under his control, so Dave keeps trying to tell John to stop and say no but all he can do is make sexy cat noises and John rapes him and Dave runs home crying and eventually tells his brother, who beats John up and puts him in the hospital. John goes to see Dave and apologize, Dave says he doesn’t think they can be friends bc John can still control him w his voice, so John learns sign language and they start hanging out again as long as they’re supervised by their other friends or Dave’s brother. The last chapter ends w the reveal that Dave was so susceptible to hypnosis bc his brother has been using it on him since he was a kid to get him to sleep through his brother raping him. It was years before I read a single other fanfic after that.

Uhhhhhhhhhh 7.5/10 this made me hate everything

I definitely do have criticisms of how Mari was handled in 3.0+1.0 but it's mostly just her character fell flat whenever she was centered around Shinji, but when she was focused on anyone else she was good. To be fair that's because the writers make everything about Shinji and will warp everything to fit what they need for Shinji to do. I am curious about your thoughts on that?

I've been thinking about how to answer this one for a bit now, since usually me talking about Mari's character is something I try to put into a single tweet, while this time I got a lot more space. Ultimately my best try is to just go at it though and try to be as coherrent as possible haha

I dont even know where to start really... I suppose the best start is that Eva's characters change. Them and their relationships with eachother change due to the events they go through. In NGE good examples would be Asuka and Ritsuko given how "extreme" the change between the first time they show up compared to the later episodes is. While in the Rebuilds Shinji is a good example of how a character and their relationships change over the four movies. Ultimately all characters go through changes and developement at some point, in some form (especially in 3.0+1.0).

This is where Mari comes into place because she completely, and absolutely, does not bend to any of that, does not fit into what Eva previously was. She's new, she's so diffrent and she was (and I guess still is) basically a complete wildcard. We couldn't predict how she'll act because we had not a single thing to base her on, no previous appearance or roll in the anime, not even the non-canon things like Anima or the bonus manga chapter since they're extremely diffrent to what Rebuild Mari ultimately was.

Where I'm going with this? Well... I don't think she ever acted out of character, or at least I never felt like she did.

Mari is a walking ray of sunshine, to be fully honest. It's the simplest way to say it. An incredibly intelligent ray of sunshine, but still. Mari loves people, loves being with people, she loves living, she keeps pushing forward and decides to live even in the face of traumatic, apocalytic events (Second, Near Third, Third, Fourth, Additional Impacts) and loss of people close to her (Yui and Asuka; funnily enough the Yui thing is kind of... not a parallel but something else with Gendo, or maybe its a parallel lol) and she does make the most of everything even if it's dangerous (See: Beast mode Unit 02 against Zeruel/The Tenth Angel; or even attacking Unit 13).

Mari is... she's the only one who doesn't change in how she interacts with people; in fact she hasn't changed at all since she went to university and between that and 3.0+1.0 is about 30 years.

Still the same walking ray of sunshine as before.

I do understand why it may seem like Mari's character seems... flat or strange with Shinji. Honestly the first time I saw Thrice Upon a Time I was very confused why she was so buddy-buddy with him/cared about him suddenly. Then I thought about it though and it started making sense.

Mari is the type of person to care abt people she doesn't have any real personal/emotional connection with on the basic empathy/human decency level, she only really cares about people she has history with, Asuka is proof of that. With her its a relationship that formed over 14 years, and 3.0+1.0 made it VERY clear that Mari cares about Asuka A LOT, as she is always her main concern, so on. And so, the same goes for Shinji.

Mari used to be friends with his parents, hell she was the one who introduced Gendo and Yui with eachother, and was even there during Shinji's birth.

She's known the guy since he was a baby, and based on Fuyutsuki's photo it's easy to assume that Mari had quite a bit of contact with him up until Yui's death when Gendo sends him away. It's logical that at that point any contact to him she had broke off for years until she finally sees him again 10 years later in Tokyo-03.

BUT. He is also the son of her dead friend, and I think that there definitely and 100% is an emotional thing going on because of that. In fact, I like to imagen that Mari realized that a part of Yui would always exist in Shinji long, long, before Gendo does and it's why she ends up being able to so... freely, almost joking mention the Yui-Rei thing later on.

It would also explain why she ends up helping him in 2.0, why she is so determind to get him and why she's so positive, so nice to him. And I think, that maybe, just maybe, Asuka's words ("That child doesn't need a lover, he needs a mother.") may not just have been foreshadowing of sort to Misato, but also may had have something to do with her later on keeping it up and being more... idk fierce? Persisstend? Either of those in how determind she is in finding Shinji.

And most of all, I think there is also a diffrence in how she cares about Asuka and Shinji, the only one's she has an emotional connection to. She fiercly cares about both of them, but with Asuka it's... it feels more fleshed out compared to how she is with Shinji, which could be the writing, but I think it's not bad. It highlights the one-sided, and in brackets made bond she has with Shinji (until the end-end) vs. the deep, 14 year long bond she has with Asuka (Besides she never looked at Shinji the way she looked at Asuka LMAO gay ass /lh)

Most of the weirdness I got from Mari and Shinji's relationship mostly comes from the fact that Shinji, has no emotional connection to Mari, while Mari does have that. The ending skipped past any establishing of how they bonded as well, which leads to the strangeness and that it almost feels a bit... off. Or that people see it as a nonsense ship that was shoved in there at the last minute.

I ended up thinking of it as friends at the beginning, and later on the more I thought about it as a sort of.... older/younger sibling thing, or something similiar. Honestly found-family is probably the best way to say it lol (But I do get why ppl saw it as romantic, it's all up to interpretation me thinks🤷‍♂️) But now this kinda took a wrong turn bc rambling abt the ending is a diffrent topic lmao

In the end what I can say is: I think the Mari/Shinji thing feels off at first, but makes sense once you dig into things (and I did a lot of digging in regards to Mari lol)

Only thing I actually hated is the "Nice girl with big boobs" thing, but I simply tell myself thats there because Mari is trans and happy her transition is going well to soothe the severe headache that sentence gives me rip

notes: i don’t know what that summary is but i made it up on the spot so don’t even complain abt it :P

“(y/n) please wait!” a voice sounded from behind you as you dragged a suitcase filled with your clothes and other possessions to the front door.

“no chris, i’ve waited long enough at the damn restaurant and where were you?” you said, throwing your free hand up in the air. “you were fucking this bitch in our— no, your house.” you seethed back at your now ex-boyfriend, who stood with an expression of grief.

“in fact, i don’t want to wait at anymore restaurants for your stupid ass.” his grief soon turned into anger as you spun around on your heels and walked out the front door.

you could hear him shouting some profanities out of the open door, but you managed to block out his voice and instead focus on the sound of your shoes on pavement as you walked with your suitcase to wherever your feet would lead you.

you were completely done with his bullshit. coming home late claiming he was “working”, flirting with other girls when you two were out shopping, and, just like this night, leaving you stranded at some restaurant for some other chick. it wasn’t even the first time he’s done that. you were ready to leave him before this day had even started; you had spent a few days secretly putting all of your possessions into your handy suitcase, only putting away a couple things at a time so he wouldn’t notice the lack of your items in the house.

before you knew it, you were standing in front of a bar that you used to always go to with one of your dearest friends. “maybe he still comes here.” you thought as you made your way through the bar door and straight to a small booth in the far corner of the building. the same small booth that your friend and yourself had always sat at when you both would come here.

his name was james page, which he preferred jimmy, but you just used james instead to pick some fun at him. the two of you were the closest of friends, ever since your childhood where you fell off of your bike and he ran over to check to see if you were okay. he even went with you to your house just to make sure that you weren’t hurt. even as you both had gotten older, you would both help each other out with homework, watch movies together, and he even taught you some guitar chords and tricks.

the downfall of your friendship happened a while after he joined one of his first bands; the yardbirds. he would always be traveling, performing at different concert venues around the country, and even the world. at first you would just call him or he would call you on these tours, which worked well for awhile, until he got so busy with the band that he didn’t have any time to return your many missed calls.

you missed him dearly, thinking of him from time to time during the day. you often wondered what he was doing at the time when you thought of him, whether it was playing his guitar or just relaxing at wherever he may call home.

you stood up to go grab a beer, hoping to wash your thoughts away, when a very familiar sound reached your ears. it was his laughter. the same sweet laughter you grew fond of whenever you’d be around him. you didn’t know how much you longed to hear that sound again until that very moment, it almost held you in a trance until the beautiful sound melted away and the song that the jukebox was playing had replaced it.

“i was probably just imagining it.” you thought. running a hand through your hair to try and focus back on reality, you continued to the bar, a fairly large opening right in front of you that you could get to quickly. when you reached the bar, you heard a familiar voice say, “(y/n)! long time no see!” you looked up to see the bartender, florence. she has been the same bartender since you and jimmy started coming to this bar, usually just to hang out and talk about different things. you were still surprised that she still worked here, she’s not as young as she used to be, but you were glad that she was here and not some other new bartender.

“hey flo! how’s everything been recently?” you smiled lightly, not really in the mood to talk a lot, but willing to make small conversation with your old friend. “quite good dear! it’s been boring without yourself and jimmy constantly making a ruckus in here though, i kind of miss having to tell the manager about how you two broke the jukebox again!” florence joked, causing you to let out a small laugh. “yeah, those were the good old days, weren’t they?” she smiled. “they really were. anyway! how about a drink for you aye?”

“whiskey. any kind will do.” you replied, which flo nodded and went off to get your drink, coming back in record time with a glass about half way filled with the golden-brown alcohol. you smiled and said a quick “thank you” and carefully took the glass, bidding flo a farewell and she returning it.

you walked back over to your seat, the chat with florence clearing your mind of the earlier events and bringing your mood up a bit. she always had that effect on people, making them crack even a slight smile when they’re feeling blue. right as you were about to sit down, the voice that you never thought you’d hear again called out, “(y/n)? is that you?”

you set your glass down, mentally preparing to see him for the first time in a long, long time. holding your breath, you turn around and see him, the jimmy page, your old best friend. “james?” his hair was longer, barely reaching to his shoulder, and it was slicked back slightly, showing his beautiful green eyes. his smile was still the same, and you swore your heart did a backflip when he smiled at you and said “oh (y/n) i knew it was you! i couldn’t miss that gorgeous hair of yours anywhere.”

you were pretty sure that your face was bright red as you smiled bashfully. “oh thank you jim. and i see you grew yours out hm?” he chuckled, running his hand through his hair softly and said “yeah, i just thought why the hell not you know?” “mhm! i like it a lot, it suits you.” you said back, nudging his shoulder with your knuckle.

he grins and mumbles a quick “thanks”. he then looks back up at you and says “wanna sit and chat for awhile? catch up on all the times we missed?” you nod, motioning for him to sit at the opposite side of where your drink is, and he sat, you following his actions and sitting down as well. you grabbed your glass of whiskey and took a long sip of it, leaving only a small amount left in the bottom of the cup. jimmy’s eyes followed your hand as you set it back on the table, then his eyes flicked back up to meet yours, his eyebrows furrowed in concern.

“is everything alright? i haven’t seen you drink like that in, well, i’ve never seen you drink like that.” you sighed, drawing your finger around the rim of the cup gently. “if i’m being honest, no. a year after we, y’know, stopped talking, i found a guy and we got along quite well and started dating.” you noticed jimmy’s hand clenched into a fist, so you continued.

“everything was fine between us, until recently. he started going after other girls, even with me around him. he even asked me on a date just so i would stay, because i told him that if he doesn’t get his shit together then i’m just going to leave. we were supposed to meet at a restaurant, but of course he didn’t show up even when he’s the one who wanted me to go with him and not the other way around. so i went back to our former shared house and found him fucking some random chick that i’ve seen him flirt with before.” you stared at your drink, before grabbing it and finishing it off. as soon as you set the glass back, jimmy’s hand softly reached for yours and held it, caressing his thumb over your knuckles.

you rose your eyes up to meet jimmy’s, his eyes holding a soft, caring look, the same look that you’ve longed to see for many years. “it’s fine though, really. it’s not like i really loved him anyway..” you lied, thinking of when you first met chris, how happy he made you. but you realized that a certain someone, perhaps the someone sitting across from you, had made you happier than chris could’ve.

“(y/n) love, your lying eyes really give away that you did love him at one point, and it’ll take a while to try and un-love him, trust me.” a soft hand came in contact with your cheek, gently wiping a stray tear away that you didn’t notice had fallen. looking back up at jimmy, you smiled at him and brought your hand that wasn’t occupied and rested it against his. “i know jimmy, but i think i’ve already moved on from that asshole.”

his eyes flashed with a glimmer of hope, and he softly nodded, a small smile painting his face. he paused, then cautiously asked; “i know we’ve only talked for a few minutes, and you can refuse this offer, but how about we ditch this bar and go somewhere else?” you brought jimmy’s hand down to rest on the table, holding them both with your warm hands and nodded. “yeah, i’d like that.” he stood up from the seat, pulling you up with him.

“well then, what are we waiting for?”

I'm following wish from a distance so I don't know deeply abt them but Sakuya is surprisingly very popular. I know for sure Yushi is the most popular member but between Riku, Sion and Sakuya, it's kinda hard to tell for me. Some ppl objected to Sakuya joining cos of his age, I don't know if he won some of those fans over or he got new fans.

I'd say Jaehee seems more popular than Ryo now but not a big difference. To me it's like Yushi >> Sakuya Riku or Sion >>> Jaehee > Ryo for popularity.

Ryo is a decent dancer and his a potentially unique vocal tone. He seems to me like a cheerful version of good student type and I thought more people would love that? He's even a nctzen, so I wonder why he's not more popular. But I'm not deep into Wish and only watch their mvs and see fragments of cut contents on x. I could be wrong abt his personality.

I suppose the popularity ranking will become more clear once the results on individual merch sales are in. Wish hasn't debuted yet, individual popularity will change with time like it happened with other neos. Ryo might star in a movie and become an overnight sensation, heh.

Both Sakuya and Ryo are cute maknaes. Sakuya is more cute, I guess. Ryo is just cute like a normal teen, Sakuya is cute like an idol. Ryo comes off as more independant, while Sakuya evokes protectiveness as he looks too much in his head, there is a contrast between his puffy cheeks, his deep voice and unusual thought process (he has the 4 dimension element). And fans like to baby their idols.

During the show there were very few people who followed, the majority of the fans joined later. And, obviously, their age is lower than that of old-time netizens (even original Dream fans are now all adults). If a fan is 14-15 y.o. herself, 16 is not small, on the contrary, just the perfect age.

Yushi, Riku and Sakuya will probably dominate in the future. Sion had a stong start, but I still think he will gain less newer fans than the rest in the upcoming years, when his flaws will become more apparent. He will have a stong core fanbase though. Jaehee is going to be the underdog kind of idol. I expect him to be the least popular. Heh, it will be interesting if it will be indeed Ryo as the least popular. It's rare for maknaes.

Well, the unit has only 6 members, there is no "the only outstanding member" situation, the least popular members are singers, therefore will be given parts in songs, so there shouldn't be more friction among solo-stans than usual.

‘‘What do you think she’ll like?’’ Taehyung asks Jungkook as they peruse through the Tiffany & Co. counters filled with expensive jewelry.

The youngest shrugs his shoulders, ‘‘Shouldn’t you know? You’re the boyfriend,’’ he comments, but it only garners him a displeased side-eye from his friend.

‘‘Why do I even bother asking for your help? You haven’t had a girlfriend in over a decade.’’ Taehyung mumbles, shaking his head as he keeps analyzing the sparkly bracelets. ‘‘So until you have one, don’t even try to use the I’m the boyfriend and I should know argument…women are far more complicated than that.’’

One of the pediatrician’s eyebrow raises, curious about the neurosurgeon’s words.

Jungkook blames Med School for his lack of ‘‘women knowledge’’. His dating life was basically nonexistent all throughout the years he was studying to get his degree and although he did try his best to go on a couple of dates after he got his specialization, he had realized that he was absolutely clueless about how to even date.

If he could grade his dating skills, Jungkook would give himself a less than average score.

He has to give credits to his friend. Although the older male was stressed about getting his younger girlfriend the perfect Valentine’s Day gift, at least he was trying. The neurosurgeon isn’t a patient person at all, and on any other occasion, Taehyung would’ve picked anything at random, swiped his credit card, and called it a day.

Jungkook doesn’t understand why does one put themselves through so much stress for one day. He’s a firm believer that there shouldn’t be a predetermined day to be romantic with your partner. Then again, Taehyung is right, the pediatrician hasn’t dated in a hot minute so what does he know?

The neurosurgeon clicks his tongue as he starts to think that he won’t be able to find anything for Yoonah in this store. He’s about to call Jungkook over to tell him that they should try Cartier next, but he holds himself back as he notices the youngest is stuck staring at one of the showcases displaying the latest arrivals.

Taehyung chuckles, placing his hand on Jungkook’s shoulder and startling him. ‘‘Thinking about getting someone something for Valentine’s?’’ He asks, wiggling his eyebrows playfully.

Jungkook laughs nervously, ‘‘No! I uh─’’

‘‘I think Y/N would really like that, don’t you think?’’ Taehyung interrupts him, a teasing tone to his voice. He actually has no damn clue what you even like, but he thinks it’s funny to pester his friend, especially when it comes to you.

It’s almost comical how embarrassed Jungkook gets whenever you’re romantically implied to him.

In any other moment, he’d tell Taehyung off. What does the neurosurgeon even know about what you like? This time, however, Jungkook remains silent as he looks back at the necklace that had caught his attention. Two interlocked pendants hanging delicately from the gold chain. It is something you would like.

‘‘So, are you gonna get it?’’ The neurosurgeon asks him, it almost feels like he’s cornering the youngest into swiping his black card right then and there.

Jungkook stammers, lips slightly ajar as he debates inside his head if he should.

He’s really not the type to give people gifts, not even to you. Although he did give you that spa day certificate last year, it was only because his mom had given it to him in the first place and he couldn’t seem to find the time to use it, regifting it to you because coincidentally you had been complaining about knots in your back that same week.

‘‘Let’s go,’’ the pediatrician mumbles, tugging his friends’ jacket to get him to leave the store.

There’s a really vivid picture of you wearing the necklace with a big smile on your face that he can’t seem to get out of his mind now.

You’ve always had mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day.

On one hand, you think the festivity is cute. The hospital gets decorated with pink and red colors, there are heart-shaped paper banners hanging from the walls and there’s even free candy all over the place!

On the other hand, it serves as a yearly reminder that you’re terribly single and have no one to spend this day with. Of course, you could always do something with your friends. Sadly, your friends are all busy doctors. Besides, you are very aware this day is marketed for couples. Whoever came up with the friendship idea must’ve been single and felt left out.

You already have plans of your own anyway. A bottle of wine and a family-sized bag of your favorite chips are waiting for you at home, you’re only left to pick what movie will be the chosen one for tonight.

The debate of what rom-com to watch is stopped as you enter your office, a gasp escaping your mouth as you notice the bouquet of flowers over your desk. Your eyebrows raise in surprise, taken aback by the sudden surprise.

You hadn’t been expecting anything from anyone. You were quite content with the amount of candy you had received, but something like this was far away from your mind.

It almost even scares you to look at it closely. Afraid it could be a terrible joke or a simple mistake someone had made, an arrangement wrongly delivered to you instead of the original owner. That’s a possibility.

Mustering up the courage to get closer, you pick up the bouquet to notice there’s a small blue box snuggled between the pretty flowers. Your eyes widen because...Tiffany & Co.? Yes, this must be a mistake.

There’s no note attached, which only makes you wonder who could possibly this gift be for.

You can almost hear a little devil Yoongi whispering from your shoulder finders keepers, it’s only fair since it’s in your office anyway. But there’s also ethical angel Namjoon on your other shoulder telling you to do the right thing, which is to head towards reception and ask who had entered your office and left it behind. Which you do ─ angel Namjoon rejoices as devil Yoongi swears he’ll get away with it someday.

The receptionist is typing away at her computer’s keyboard, registering the new files into the system as she notices you approaching with the bouquet on hand and she stops her work to smile at you.

‘‘Hello, Doctor Y/L/N! I see you got your Valentine’s Day gift, heading home already?’’ She asks curiously.

You chuckle, ‘‘I think there’s been a mistake.’’ The comment makes the receptionist’s eyebrows furrow together, confused at your words. ‘‘I don’t have a Valentine, so there’s no way this is for me. There’s not even a note attached to it.’’

‘‘Ohhh, I see.’’ She says in a tone you can’t quite pinpoint, getting back to her typing quickly.

You clear your throat, ‘‘I was wondering if you know who went inside my office today?’’

The receptionist refuses to look at you again, eyes focused on the screen in front of her. She shakes her head no, ‘‘So many people come and go, I lose track of them!’’

You sigh, defeated. The receptionist takes one last look at you before you leave, ‘‘That gift is for you, Dr. Y/L/N.’’ Your gaze moves back towards her, but you can tell her lips are sealed. Whoever left this behind must’ve asked for secrecy.

Looking back down at the bouquet in your hands, you smile slightly at the idea of this being yours. Someone actually gave you something for once.

The receptionist chuckles at your flustered cheeks and the smile you’re biting back from spreading across your face.

Jungkook’s phone buzzes as he steps outside his bathroom. It’s a message from the group chat and he quickly opens it, fingers beginning to tremble as he hopes it’s the long-awaited message he’s been hoping to see throughout most of the day.

[9:30 PM] Y/N 🥰❤️: i think i have a secret admirer?

[9:30 PM] Seokjin: Welcome to the club!

[9:31 PM] Namjoon: Why? Did you get something today?

The message that proceeds is one that makes Jungkook’s heart stop momentarily. It’s a selfie of you smiling, a gold necklace being the main focus as it sits pretty on your chest. These are the moments the pediatrician doesn’t question Namjoon’s diagnosis, he is crushing hard.

so i just watched secrets of dumbledore for the third time and hhhhhh i’ve got so many things to talk about i don’t even know where to start!! obviously, this is full of spoilers btw

i love jacob he’s amazing. i love how he held his pan in the beginning and how he put the niffler in it. i also love how he told queenie that dumbledore was wrong about his heart being full because there will always be space for her in it like boy adkgjfjg he’s so in love with her he’s so sweet

then there’s lally and omfg i love her. she’s so cool?? like? i love her she’s amazing the scene where jacob 'tried to assassinate grindelwald'? amazing amazing i loved it

yk how the first message we see on the mirror was 'forgive me' and it was written by aberforth? idk abt you guys but when i first watched the movie i was like hmm but then forgot about it and when i re-watched it it made so much sense. very good example of a hermeneutic circle imo

then there’s the scene where the qilin walked past both santos and tao and they looked at eachother for a second. and it wasn’t a look of 'why isn’t it me?' but of 'why is it neither of us/why is it him?' and i loveddd that hhhh. it really shows that they would’ve been happy with either of them as the winner and that they respect and like eachother. i love that for them and everybody else bc that means they’d both be at least decent leaders

i prefer short-haired credence. he just.. looks like snape. this brings us to my moms theory, being that he’ll become snape. i’m too lazy to type it all out rn but she’s actually got more points than i thought at first, dven though i believe it’s too crazy to be true lol.

so, we didn’t see nagini in here at all and... i’m not really disappointed? even though i thought i’d be? she just didn’t fit the plot this time but i hope to see her in the next movie

i really really like mads as grindelwald. he looks exactly like i’ve always imagined grindelwald looking and honestly, he acts him really well. i liked johnny as grindelwald but he was always a miscast for me and mads fits him so much better imo. a friend of mine said she prefers johnny bc he’s johnny bc he feels a lot more like an actual authority but tbh, i like how mads makes me feel more like he’s a normal person. like, he’s not connected to normal people at all and everybody sees him as authority anyway, but it doesn’t feel like he’s better and different from others?? because, in the end, he’s just some guy with fantasies? idk

now, then there’s the second qilin that bowed before dumbledore and santos. i liked that it bowed before dumbledore, it enhanced the plot and it fits, so, yes. it bowing before santos? zero plot enhancement, unneccessary and a waste of potentional. ever since i saw jacob 'playing' with the qilin for the firat time, it was clear for me that it’ll bow before him. especially after all the 'you’ve got a filled heart' talk and everybody else who called him a good guy. and just imagine how much plot enhancement we would’ve gotten! if he was the second person it’d bowed to, the people would’ve seen that muggles are good (i mean, many know, but for the sake of the crowds mind/not thinking for yourself and following the crowd (which btw was shown really well during the scenes in bhutan, imo)) and it would’ve also helped jacob to believe all of the talk about him being a good guy. i mean, santos would’ve won anyways because neither dumbledore nor jacob were candidates so the people should’ve just voted and i’m quite sure she would’ve won, so... i’m kinda mad it didn’t bow before jacob.

i really liked the scenes of, before and right after the duel between dumbledore and credence. idk, they were really pretty and i loved the ,,he’s not here for you. he’s here for me.’’ especially because credence clearly doesn’t know it’s because he’ll die soon, bdcause if he did, he would’ve said it’s there for dumbledore. but dumbledore knows and i think this is where he realises that he’s dying very soon, it’s the first time he sees the phoenix near credence.

i only realised when i watched it the second time but do you know who’s there when grindelwald 'revives' the qilin? 1) credence, obviously, which makes sense, because he wants him there, and we know that anyway because he talks to him during the scene. 2) that girl from paris (i hate her, btw), which also makes sense, because she’s where he is at least 99% of the time, unless he sends her away. and 3) vogel. ?? i mean, we know he’s rooting for grindelwald, at least after the scene where he tries to show that his qilin is alive (which it isn’t, and he knows), but i didn’t know the two were that close. tbh, i can’t really think of any other reason grindelwald wanted him there except for him trusting him not to tell anyone and wanting him to see it for whatever reason i can’t think of right now. it took a lot of trust though, he could’ve given him the not-so-alive qilin anyway without telling him about anything of that, but he chose to have him watch. really makes me wonder about their history. i mean, he only had people there with him who he trusted and who were, in a way, very close to him. so what exactly was vogel doing there??

then there’s grindelwald and dumbledores battle and afkfjghfgsfh. i’m not going to repeat what everybody else on here already said about it but. the small step grindelwald made towards dumbledore when he walked away to pick up the blood pact. right in the feels. the ,,who’s going to love you now, dumbledore?’’ right in the feels. also, is it just me or is that a clear statement of him still loving dumbledore? because, like, it’s clear that he did love him, just from this sentence alone. but it very heavily implies that he still loves him but now he defenitly has to stop because they’re gonna have to fight.

i reaaally like yusuf kama, btw! i feel like he’d be great as both a 'good' or a 'bad' guy and ngl i’m just excited to see more of him in general because i think he’s very interesting

i probably forgot half of the things i wanted to say but yeah 👍

you end up leaving the café you have been waiting for her in, near tears, and as if it can’t get any worse, you have no ride home, so naturally, you are now walking whilst trying to keep from crying

you’re about half a mile from UA, the hill is visible in the distance and you are very relieved because you just wanna cry in your bed

then it starts to rain

so yeah it did get worse

out of frustration and the built up sadness, you just kinda start crying, coming to a stop and falling to a seat at the side of the road

you felt so alone, the one person you thought would always be around he replaced you

clearly they didn’t feel the same

meanwhile, katuski is running with his jacket above his head, cursing out the skies

and then he spots someone crying in the rain, he initially thinks nothing of it, until he realizes its you

the girl who he “begrudgingly” helped study on weekends, the one who he was up until 2AM with, even though he slept like a grandpa

now he’s cursing for a different reason, he comes over to you

he is gonna wanna kill someone when he finds out and tbh you should let him but thats just me

in the past, people have abandoned him due to his personality, and though it hurt in the moment, he got over it pretty quickly

and tbh, most of the time he had a little squad of jerks following him around so he didn’t really care abt anyone else.

Staring at the text she’d just recieved, Y/N let out a shaky breath, trying to compose herself. Her so called best friend wasn’t coming, and would never be coming again. Apparently she had better things to do than hangout with some wannabe hero. Blinking away the tears, Y/N stood making her way to the exit of the shop, she stepped outside.

She was beginning to regret ever leaving the UA campus, because at this point she’d much rather be crying in bed rather than in public. Y/N was suddenly grateful that the café was relatively close as she speedily walked down the sidewalk.

The one person she thought would be there for her through everything, through all the pain and joy and anything in between, was gone. Great.

At least it couldn’t get worse than this, she decided as she saw the UA Campus in the distance, relief flooding her as her pace quickened.

Then she saw lightning in the distance, thunder rattling in the sky, Y/N couldn’t help but wince. As water began to poor over her she paused her steps, exhaling deeply as she looked up at the sky.

Then the tears began to fall, a hand coming to her mouth to quiet the sobs escaping her as she fell to the ground, seating herself at the side of the road, Y/N felt her body shake as she tried to force herself to even out her breathing.

Meanwhile, Katsuki was cursing out the skies, he’ been on his way back from visiting his parents when it began to pour. Immediately bringing his jacket over his body to try and shield himself from the brunt of the rain as he ran through the now empty streets. Save for one shaking person on the side of the road, causing him to raise a brow at, it was pouring rain and they were just sitting there?

He slowed temporarily to try and get a better understanding of what was going on, only to realize he recognized the person. Y/N. His classmate, the one he begrudgingly tutored on the weekend, the one he cursed out when she forgot to eat, the one who kept him up until 2AM even though his bedtime was normally 9PM.

Katsuki grimaced, coming up behind her with his jacket overhead to try and shield her from the rain as he spoke, “what the hell are you doing out right now? You’re gonna get sick.”

Y/N jumped at the sudden voice behind her, though she knew it was Katsuki, she turned to see he was holding his jacket over the two of them, the red of her eyes a dead giveaway that she’d been crying. She couldn’t bring herself to speak as she looked up at him in shock. What was he doing here?

Katsuki’s face fell as his eyes scanned her for injuries, “who did this to you?” He wasn’t the best when it came to comfort, and he feared that would show as he began to interrogate her.

Blinking Y/N realized what she must’ve looked like, trying to shake off the feelings she was experiencing she spoke, “we should go.” Wiping the water from her face, she moved to stand, and Katuski moved with her, his eyes still on her face.

“Hold this side of the jacket.” He ordered, and she did as she was told, bringing one hand up to the left side of the jacket, which was now soaked in water and doing little to help. This action provided Katsuki with a freehand to put on the small of her back and push her forward rather aggressively. He lead them to a small grocery store on the street, pushing the door open.

They were dripping wet, and looking up at Katsuki, who had returned to interrogating her, Y/N couldn’t help it when more tears leaked out of her eyes and she lunged forwards to tackle him in a hug.

He quickly shut up, body stiffening momentarily before he allowed his hands to wrap around her waist and return the hug. “Thank you,” she mumbled, burying her head in his chest.

Brows furrowed, Katsuki scoffed, “yeah, yeah. Whatever.” He turned to the view the rest of the store, “pick out some food, I’ll cook you something when we get back.”

Looking up at him, her mouth gaped open, “are you serious?”

“Did I stutter, you idiot?”

Exiting the convenience store with a plastic bag of candy in hand, Kirishima sighed. He’d been out longer than anticipated, and it was already getting dark. The grey clouds above signaling the possibility of rain, Kirishima grimaced, he needed to get back to UA quickly.

He’d intended to have a movie night with the rest of the Bakusquad that night, and maybe even invite Y/N. He’d been trying to work up the courage to finally ask her out, but it hadn’t been going well. He didn’t feel very manly each time he chickened out, and Kaminari’s teasing didn’t help at all, escaping him was the main reason Kirishima agreed to pick up the candy that day.

Sighing, Kirishima continued to walk, though the rain came faster, pouring down onto him as he groaned in annoyance, hoping that it wouldn’t damage his snacks as he pulled his jacket off to provide himself with some cover. Though it wasn’t very helpful, it was better than nothing.

He begins to speed up, jogging slightly when he notices someone on the curb, seated. Kirishima frowns, moving behind them and bringing his jacket over them, “hey, what are you doing?” Considering how much it was raining now, and the sound of the thunder overhead, he figured the storm that was coming would only get worse. Being outside was the worst idea. And as a hero in training, he simply couldn’t allow this action.

The mysterious person turns around, and Kirishima suddenly realizes its his classmate, his frown only deepening when he sees her swollen eyes. “Kirishima? She says, confusion clear in her tone as she looks up at him, eyes wide. They knew each other fairly well, though he could be shy at times, he was fun, and nice. And of course, rather respectful during all their interactions, she liked him.

Kirishima pauses before finding himself sitting beside her in the pouring rain and allowing the water to hit him as he lowered his jacket, pulling a candy bar from his bag. “What’s wrong?” He asked, extending the candy to her. Though it would likely react poorly should she open it and the candy came in contact with the rain, it was the thought that counted.

Y/N’s mouth gaped open as she smiled sadly at him, taking the candy bar from him, “thank you.” She whispered, “it doesn’t really matter anymore, though.” She looks up at the sky, water cascading down her face as she inahles deeply.

Suddenly, Kirishima’s hand is in hers, “it’s bothering you, so obviously it matters.” He tugs her hand to get her to stand up alongside him, “and it wouldn’t be very manly of me to leave a pretty lady out in the rain.”

A laugh escaped Y/N at this, “and I could never force a handsome man like yourself to stay out in rain.” Comes her reply, “let’s go.”

She wasn’t alone. Not while she had him.

shinsou hitoshi

definitely the best at comforting someone especially with something like this

feeds you sweets because food makes everything better, will be affectionate just for this instance because he knows you just want some love during this time

the best to talk to about it tbh, he’s very good at giving advice and listening to your problems

i feel like shinsou has probably experienced something similar in the past and he’s gonna understand what you are feeling

won’t try to make you open up but you’ll want to, he has a comforting presence

very calm about it, gently speaks with you and guides your actions, makes sure you take care of yourself if you are in a really bad place

once you’ve stopped crying he’ll ask you what happened and should you tell him he’ll honestly be VERY mad

like why would someone do that to an ANGEL like YOU???

is genuinely confused and potentially in a murderous mood

and he has the quirk to get away with it

wants to go off on this person though, desperately, and should he ever run into them they are going to get a piece of his mind

Shinsou frowned as he felt a droplet of water fall onto his head, realizing that rain would likely come soon, he picked up the pace of his walk. He’d been out at the bookstore, and was suddenly grateful that he hadn’t bought anything as he watched everyone in the shopping center begin to retreat to their cars and into shops.

He watched a lightning flashed in the distance, brows furrowing at the realization that a storm was coming when thunder accompanied the sight and pouring rain soon followed. UA wasn’t far, but he didn’t really want to have to run in the rain up the hill the school had been built upon.

Turning a corner, his eyes scanned the area in search of a shop he could wait out the storm in when they fell on the figure of someone seated in the rain, no umbrella or hood to protect them from the downfall, and their body shaking.

Then he recognized the hoodie. It was his actually, and he knew exactly who he’d lent it to.

Y/N L/N. The pretty girl in the hero course who’d threatened anyone who spoke poorly of him, defending his honor even though he never asked. She was always kind to him, even when they weren’t the closest of friends. Though that had changed, the pair now talking almost daily about a variety of things, something Shinsou was grateful for.

Questions flood his mind as he removes his jacket and brings it above him, going over to her, and when he’s close enough he can hear her small sobs, barely muffled by the palm of her hand. Shinsou can’t help but feel concerned as he brings his jacket above her to shield her from the rain, “hey, let’s go.” He mumbles gently.

Y/N looks up at him, her eyes red and puffy, and if it weren’t pouring Shinsou would’ve hugged her right there. “What are you doing?” When she’d simply collapsed in the rain, her emotions overwhelming her, she hadn’t assumed Shinsou would randomly appear.

“Getting you out of the rain.” Came his response, “come on, we can wait out the storm in the café.” Shinsou would’ve extended a hand had he not be preoccupied by holding up his jacket, which was now soaking through.

Sniffing, she nodded, “yeah, you’re right.” She stands, and he follows her movements, jacket never leaving her figure as the pair makes their way to the door of the café. Y/N pushes the door open, and they both enter, allowing him to finally put the jacket above his head down, though it started soaking onto the floor.

He threw it outside, much to Y/N’s shock, “I don’t wanna dirty the floor.” Shinsou explained nonchalantly, his purple hair sticking to his forehead. “Have you eaten?”

“Sorry about your hoodie.” She mumbled, at they moved out of the way of the entrance.

Raising a brow, he extended a hand, “that didn’t answer my question.”

Y/N’s brows furrowed as she looked to his hand, tilting her head in confusion as she placed her hand into his, Shinsou gave her a small smile before leading her to the line of the café as she replied, “no. I didn’t.”

His brows draw together as she looks at her, she seems resigned, quieter than normal. “How about a muffin then? Or maybe a cupcake?” He peers into the display window, squinting at the variety of foods. “I say cupcakes,” In his experience, sugary foods always made things better, to an extent at least.

Giving him a tight lipped smile, she nodded, “sure.” He was trying. It was better than nothing if she was honest. Considering the fact that her best friend had abandoned her today, it was a nice reminder, that she wasn’t alone. She had other people, regardless of what had happened.

Shinsou’s eyes met hers as he sighed, bringing his free hand to the back of his neck, “you wanna talk about it?” He knew they’d have to address it at some point, there was no denying that she had clearly been crying, something had upset her.

Shaking her head, Y/N pulled him closer using their joined hands and brought him into a hug, “not right now.” It was an oddly intimate moment, despite the fact that they were in public.

Regardless, he pulls her tightly against him, wrapping his arms around her protectively as he responds, “alright.

- for your anniversary i think she'd want to do something really fun with you

- she'd set up a pillow fort and have a bunch ot string lights and stuff, have all of her favourite stuffies (which are the ones she thinks of you when she sees) in there too.

- she has chips, she baked little pastries and cookies, and she ordered your favourite takeout

- you guys just watch whatever you want on netflix or whatever and its such a nice night

- it becomes a tradition for you guys, but you two always take turns with setup

- one year sasha did all of the planning, baking and whatnot ? okay now its your turn 😁👍

- you guys even started doing themes now 🤩

- if you guys play board games with your friends youre on sasha's side whether you want to be or not.

- shes also the kind of person that says "i can win fair and square !" but then when bertholdt starts kicking her ass in monopoly her script changes real quick 🙄

- now its "y/n,,, give me some of ur money" and "y/n, buy this property for me" like girl,,,, what happened to playing fair 😍⁉️

- will try and do all of those s/o pranks you see on tiktok

- its hard to get a genuine reaction out of you bc you can TELL SHES RECORDING but she tries anyways

- we love a perservering queen 😌✨

- will call you at random times of the day asking if you guys can see each other

- "y/n ??? are you there ??" "sasha its 2am wtf do you want 😐" "do you wanna ride your bike with me down to the park 🥺"

- also is very observant, knows when youre overworking yourself

- will try and pull you away from what youre working on like "lets go get you something to drink, or maybe we can watch an episode of that show you like before you continue working !"

- if youre persistent that you just HAVE to finish it tonight and cant stop and take a break she'll respect that, until you stay at your laptop for over an hour 😐

- just softly pulls you away like "no lovebug, lets get some sleep okay ?"

- is also very protective of you

- overheard someone making fun of you ?? talking shit ??? her besties better hold her back before she gets suspended 😤‼️

- and since connie and jean absolutely ADORE you, you better believe theyre helping their girl sasha out

- those three are the LEADERS of the "protect y/n club"

- it just becomes niccolo and marco trying to dissolve the situation before it gets physical, and then reiner and armin joining when they walk directly into the chaos

- armin tells you what happened and as much as youre thankful that sasha cares about you so much that she'd defend you like that, you lecture her, jean and connie on not making scenes like that again

- sasha's love language is kind of like,, a mixture of quality time and physical touch

- she just really loves spending time with you, but also very much enjoys being in your arms

- she doesnt shy away from it, and is usually the one to initiate those things

- will hold your hand PROUDLY down hallways or on streets

- always hypes you up too, shes very much so your personal hypeman

- "oh lovebug you look SO GOOD rn oh my god" "sasha pls im in my pyjamas" "and you look like a model baby !"

- sasha is very stubborn however, and if you guys ever fight she is NEVER the one to apologize first, or seek you out to talk about it

- even if shes in the wrong she cant bring herself to admit it, she dug herself into such a deep hole with the stance she took that she doesnt want to take the walk of shame in admitting that she wasnt right

- this can cause a lot of problems in your relationship, but after you explain how much it affects you, shes trying to change

- will always work on her stubborn-ness and pride

- and it actually makes her feel a lot better being able to admit defeat, or being wrong

- she really likes being communicative and honest, especially with you

- i think overall your relationship with sasha is very very fun, filled with good memories, good food, good friends, and most importantly, love.
