OKAY BUT ANYWAYS i cherrypick canon and then make up random bullshit.

So so so so so I think it depends a lot on How it's created (and maybe how its consumed.)

General death, Outside of the possessed-object. I think that ghosts will form or memories will linger, but don't nessecarily possess any sort of object. BUT. If they are stuffed into something or close in some sort of way, they possess that object and are "bonded" to it.

Uhhhh i do rlly like the idea of two spirits in Golden Freddy. I think even jusy Dying by something can cause you to possess it.

I think the more gruesome the death, the more fear, especially the more prolonged, the more remnant is made.

I think Cassidy was killed AFTER being stuffed into Fredbear/golden freddy, she was killed by (at least primarily) a springlock accident. I don't think she died fast at all. And also she was basically melded into her Possessed Object. (CC is...very different case to this. Died because of fredbear(maybe techincally inside him), prolonged death. But obiviously not as extreme. I think he'd be very whispy and weak compared to the rest of the ghosts)

Like springtrap. I think William has a lot of other shit going on tho. I think that guy was injecting and eating and smearing remnant on himself at all oppurtunity. And that's one reason why he's so... persistant.

BUT ALSO I THINK A LOT OF IT IS FUCKING. MENTAL..MINE OVER MATTER TAKEN TO THE EXTREME. I think Charlie is in this boat. She is like, directly a familial (sorta) murder. That is a man i knew. An adult i trusted. And now i'm dead. Hooray. I think all the emotion towards Charlie's death kept her around. I just think shes like the main characger amd i love her and im so glad for her story signifigance.

remnant added onto a living being in some way increases their lifespan. And the more you eat the more it Effects you, and especially you get more negative symptoms

Like henry FOR SURE has some remnant in him. It has done something to expand his lifespan. But also I think, even one or two "doses" definently fucked something up in him.

Like, you live longer, your Soul or whatever is using other souls like a fucking battery. But also I think general body functions are sloooowed and thats gonna have effects on people.

Michael is a corpse. Remnant doesn't stop the body from rotting. It slows it. The bodies in the suits still rotted, michael is still rotting. I think he's a very weird case. Like, the metal he techincally shouldve possessed has gone and left the building. He is possessing his body, which is well. A body. And not a piece of metal. I think he gets weird out-of-body experiences a lot. I believe he HAS to replace and repair himself, probably with metal and scrap parts (he certainly has some metal left over from ennard. At least as some structual supports. ("Whoops sorry buddy i broke your femur. Lemme just... replace that")

I think it manifests as molten metal or oily grime coming from inside the animatronics. Like something fucking exploded in there and is constantly on the walls of the suits and metal endos . Even after they clean it and clean it.

(There's fun ways to read the puppets Tear Tracks with this. I think theyre there to ignore or hide said muck)

I think the sister location animatronics are Fundementally not optimal for getting remnant. Cassidy is at the top of our scale here, slow death within the Object of Possession.

I thinkt his is a good reason why Baby seems to.... detached?? Different?? Than Lizzie. Also maybe some of that is AI stuff but i think a good part of it is the killing process.

Empire of Ivory Chapter 1-3 (Spoilers)

Well, I've read the first 3 chapters in Empire of Ivory. I want to curse out so many people and I've cried so much for our Aerial Corp!! It's not fair and I know life isn't fair but still, our poor dragons!!!!

Spoilers Start Here!!!

I'm not sure where I want to start first. But I guess let's just start.

The Prussian were very dangerous in their panic. If I could shake them for complicating matters, I would. Gods the way they acted. I get it you're frightened but you're putting everyone in danger by trying to latch onto Temeraire’s harness and threatening dragons who are trying to help you. You nearly all got dumped to your deaths for this honestly.

The Ferals definitely didn't help this matter. As they kept constantly stopping to fight the enemy dragons despite Temeraire trying to move them along. So far we have seen how hard it is to tame ferals, keep them moving, and stop them from over commiting, especially when they are acting as Transport of people. They are short-sighted on matters and lack enough knowledge of conventional, "civilized" war between humans that they're being out maneuver and keep over committing. They have yet to help matters much and keep putting others in danger. We see this time and again in these last 3 chapters. And when they were carrying the Prussian at the start of the book the certainly didn't help matters.

And Iskierka didn't help matter either. She's a little spitfire who craves battle and is a little trigger happy with her fire. She just doesn't listen. She's a little war hungry and battle hungry dragon. But sweet baby you aren't helping, you're just making things worse! And the Prussians tried to shoot you over it. I blame the fact her egg spent a long time listening to Temeraire and our crew plot, plan, fight, and talk about fighting and war. And maybe it's just who she is anyway. But poor Granby has his work cut out for him as her Captain. This probably was not what he ever imagined his Captaincy being like.

On another note: I hare the fact I was right about the Plague and quarantining dragons, dragon deaths, and the crews/captains who are hurting along side their dragons. My heart breaks. Of the dragons and crews I recognize, poor Lenton and Obversaria, being informed of her death and how it ruined Lenton makes me cry. And just imagining the other dragons, captains, and their hurting crews. Also, poor Victoriatus isn't just dying and his captains not leaving him but they will soon be dissecting his corpse. I really hate plagues and the poor quarantined dragons. We all now know partly how you feel. Also, how dare the Admiralty give them worse food for being sick. I jusy have so much rage for the Admiralty right now.

Keyes left us and we got a new doctor, Dorset. I'm not sure how I feel about him yet but well, I don't begrudge Keyes staying with the sick dragons as one of the best Dragon Surgeon in His Majesty's Aerial Corp.

On a happier note, Horay for Admiral Jane!!! And there is nothing the Admiralty can do. She won't let them walk all over her or the corp. But I expect that they will be very difficult because of her gender. Because you know, they think women are delicate and of weak constitution and have no place in war or the military (if you can't tell I'm rolling my eyes). Though Jane is having a hard time getting them to listen, which I expect will be a continuous through out her time as an Admiral. I also like how she is willing to try anything to help the dragons. She is willing to try anything.

While on Congratulations: Congrats Granby! You're a Captain Now!! Take your pick of creq (sadly because of the # of dead/sick dragons your options are almost limitless). Though you do have a handful with Iskierka and I only see her getting worse as she ages until she is much, much older if she ever outgrows it.

Next statement of facts: Ferals! Britian is so desperate for dragons that they negotiate and write up contracts with the Ferals. A step in the right direction, I think. 1 cow = 2 pigs or sheep but 3 goats and they get one a day regardless of whether or not they eat it that day. And they can keep track my marking wood when they go to the Feeding Pens. Which good negotiating skills there! But boy are you all unruley and not able to listen putting yourself and everyone else in danger. I don't know if this happened or not but I can just imagine them being like Tharkay left, so we don't have to listen to you anymore and Temeraire just barely keeps them in line with his size. But I see a lot of struggles in the future to get this to work.

Now on to Tharkey. I just love how in Edinburgh he broke into a house to make tea. He got up early enough to have it ready for when Laurence gets up really early to go to the Covert. It's nice, hot, and brewed perfectly. And he offers to make Laurence a cup who turns it down but then he offers Laurence his(Tharkay’s) cup and Laurence drinks it! This is my headcannon now and I'm so happy. So please no one burst my bubble. Also, I know Tharkay left us again! I know this isn't goodbye though. I thought that the first time but I don't think he's going anywhere as he plans to be back. He's only off to convince more Feral dragons to join the Aerial Corp. Also, if he doesn't come back then the crew will fetch him, I'm convinced at this point as Laurence is very loyal to people and Temeraire must see Tharkay as his to a degree. To paraphrase Jane "Tharkay is worth his weight in gold or more"! I just see Tharkay sweeping in and save the day again! This is my prediction!!

I feel bad for poor Ferris. His family sees him in the Corp as such a disappointment/tragedy. But he doesn't and I honestly hope when the dragons go for their voice in parliament that they choose to support that. I do see some potential here but I won't hold my breath.

So far, I've only read these 3 chapters and my feelings are so mixed. I see that the Admiralty want to just cut their loses on the dying dragons. And it annoys me to no end. They'll focus on the healthy and the Ferals but won't want to do anything for the rest. Though I agree that the spice and pavilions will go a long way for the dragons.

Right now I agree that Britian is living on borrowed time that only exists because Napoleon is distracted by the Polish countess. But the moment he hears of Britain's weakness, he'll invade or at least prepare to invade.

Knowing what I know of history and Britain's concuring in the USA, I predict that if the French dragon ever gets a look at the Countryside or looks like they'll invade, Britain send a dying dragon to the continent and die in France to bring the plague to the continent. Similar to what they did to conquer tribes of Native Americans in the Americas. I expect they did it in this world as well, on that note: the absolute Karma that Britain is facing this right now because they made a Native American Dragon come to the Isles.

I predict that unless it's an actual cure to the dragons, the Admiralty won't agree to anything or spending money on dragons they already wrote off.

I forgot to post Class7 meeting for what would be “christmas” for us - no idea if they actually celebrate christmas too ^^’

As Fie is portably already telling you, this plays after the end of the first Kuro no Kiseki game. Fie even brought something sweet from that famous bakery as you can see.

This picture is part of the 2023 Calendar and I was VERY tempted to get it, just for this picture. I am very class7 starved and I could barely keep myself from wasting money on that calendar that I otherwise didn’t exactly wanted ^^’

Thankfully someone posted the picture on Reddit. (Thanks to whoever that was. It made my day!)

I want to point out a few things here:

1. Millium looks absolutely adorable in that outfit! You know I usually find it sad that physically speaking, she want mature anymore, because I would have loved to see her become as beautiful as the other girls did. BUT I guess she would not have looked half as cute as she actually does here, if her body would have matured. So... I guess its fine.

2. Jusis and Millium sitting next to each other and Jusis looking at Millium makes me feel like everything is right in the world. My shipper-heart can rest in peace, when it comes to those two I guess.

4. I think Crow will be wearing glasses now. I believe we’ve seen him were some at one of the Hajimari-Epilouge Pictures too. (I might have to mention that he look quite hot in that damned casual black outfit... but I should not say that over the man who I nicknamed “the azure traitor” for a reason ^^’)

5. I overall love the fact that they all wear casual clothes (slightly festive, but overall casual) because its such a huge difference from what we usually see in the game. And while we are at it... can you believe that none of the girls show of their cleavage? That is so freaking rare. 

6. Almost all boys wear a necklace. Did they ever wear some in the games? I’ve noticed this necklace on Rean already in the post Hajimari-picture. Makes you wonder if it has any meaning, if he still wears it with different clothes. Crow wears a similar one. Maybe they shaped their stupid 50 mira coin into two pendants for their necklaces? I wouldn’t put it past them XD

7. I love how Falcom just casual has decided to show us our class 7 characters favorite alcoholic drinks XD Rean apparently prefers bear, Alisa likes white wine and Emma red wine and someone who sat next to Alisa (maybe Laura) apparently had a glass of champagne or something like that. It does not matter at all, if you ask me, but I still find it funny that Falcon took the time to decided that they have the time to think about what drink which Falcon character would like, instead of just giving them all read wine or something like that. (Also, we put ice and a straw in Milliums drink, to make sure that everyone sees that it is non-alcoholic ^^’)

8. I’ve been wondering ever since Hajimari, if Falcon plans to make Laura Gaius squiere. They interact a lot with each other since then and we know that its not supposed to be a shipping-hints. And I mean ever kind of wanted to travel the world, that would be one way to do that. But I could be wrong. Maybe they just get along because Witches and Grahlsritter work well together.

9. Look who is peaking through the window XD Apparently, Towa, Angie and that damn Traitor were not invited but still decided to check on class 7 and their besty Crow.

10. I had to laugh so hard when I locked at the comments under the reddit post, because something MULTIPLE people actually pointed out is that (not very surprisingly) Rean and Alisa wear matching colors as per usual. And while I would say that is just Falcom being assholes to everyone who doesn’t ship them some people went as far as saying that they are wearing a couple-outfit. You know, as in Rean and Alisa as characters chose it specifically to match with each other. (Someone even said that the picture purposefully hided Rean and Alisas left hand because there might be a ring hidden there but trust me Falcom won’t go that far. Especially not without us XD No, seriously, Rean will stay in Limbo with Lloyd and possible (depending what Falcom decides for him, when it comes to romance) Van as well - not that they won’t keep hinting certain girls stronger than others XD

It really felt amazingly good to see Class7 and ONLY Class7 (and no new class 7) back together again.

Bonus: I think the reason we don’t see new class 7 here is because they are now over 2 years older and would have physically matured significantly. I think Falcom wants to show them off in the game, instead of on a Calendar that not everyone gets.

(help this is just about lopt plates and jirou being grossed out by it)

6 in the morning, not much was on the docket, the only reason jirou was up at this time anyways was because he had online classes, well just one, who decided to host a class about sewing at 6 am anyways? more importantly why would jirou join. winter classes were always hardest, it was too cold to get out of bed and everyone takes the evening classes more than in the summer, but just one class at 6 am wasnt the end of the world. it spanned for an hour, giving a ten minute break in the middle, some people worked on what they were taught, or used the bathroom or got something to eat. jirou prefered to use the bathroom and continue whatever he was working on, to not lose focus. 6:35, he came out of the bathroom, he noticed that lopt was chewing on something that had a… less than pleasant sound. Not wanting to miss class for the 5th time already, he mentally made a note to ask lopt. thankfully, the last 20 minutes went mostly smooth, since it was only the beginning of the semester, it was just mostly about how to get your ideas onto paper and whatnot. Jirou, as much as he wishes he wouldve, didnt pay much attention, his grades were mostly fine, granted a few c’s and d’s in math but over all a’s and b’s so he didnt hwve to worru about grades that much, jusy missing classes. He walked out of his room to see lopt watching some news station called “fox news”. he was aware that was an american “news” station, how the hell did they get that in japan? “hey” “oh youre done with your class already? what do you want me to tuck you back into bed?” lopt replied, with a vague british accent, lopt isnt british. “i, wha, no, i meant to ask you something” he said, vaguely confused. “which would be..?” “what the hell were you eating earlier, it sounded disgusting” “huh? what do you mean, oh those white disc thingys?” he sounded as if he were actually confused as to what jirou said. “Uh, i guess? i thought we didnt have much food.. and i know mostly what we keep.” “oh, do you not know the name either?” “i mean no? i guess not??” jirou had literally no fucking idea as to what lopt was talking about “here hold on ill show you” “um alright?” lopt walked over to the kitchen cabinets before skimming over tiny labels at the bottom, they were in braille, how was he even reading them by looking?

he landed on one, the third from the oven. opened it, grabbed whatever the hell he was speaking of and walked back to jirou. “see this!” “lopt.. please dont tell me you were eating that” “huh i was why?” lopt spoke at a rather quick pace, which is just wonderful for someone with auditory processing disorder. (sarcasm) “i, lopt, those are plates, why the hell” “oh, plates huh? they taste bland honestly, maybe they need to be heated up?” he thought to himself aloud “i uh no? lopt youre not supposed to eat those? how do you not know that..” “what do ya mean? ive heard the word but ive never seen one, must be some new day thing” he muttered the last part to himself. “lopt, what i know you know what a plate is, yknow.. a dish? bowl? salver? platter??” “Oh a salver! oh thats what this is wait what why does it look so weird?” “i what? lopt thats how plates have always looked?” “nah what no, salvers dont look like this at all!” “i, i mean maybe not? i why am i still awake, im gonna go sleep goodnight” jirou groaned and walked to his room alone. Lopt, still questioning if he really ate a “salver” decided to look for his phone, of course he had no idea where he put it, for being a god, he was awfully forgetful.

though something you noticed with the quiet man with a hardened look on his face, that he was one dense man.

he has been your crush ever since when you met the haitani brothers, meeting him when he handed you the garlic bread you wanted since you touched it first and it seemed unfair that he had it eventhough you pocketed it first.

sometimes you question why do you like somebody whose dense as a brick that any signs of affection are easily brushed off or any playful remarks are shot back with a slightly mean one or constant breakfasts prepared by yours truly are demanded?

you don't know, he doesn't have a reek or ounce of being a romantic or he has slight chances of being the most akward gentlemen but he just pulls you in, maybe having his older brother pull you in by your ankle and him atleast holding your head so you didn't hurt yourself.

that's when it got too much for you so you gave up your pride and decided to sit down to write a letter, with tea papers and pressed flowers you got to work. making it speacial so he can tell the difference between an average fan letter and a letter by somebody who wants to actually be a lot more closer to him, in a way to break friendship strings and to connect it with something more.

shaky hands you had when you slipped it into his locker, out in plain sight for him to see and you prayed that he didn't threw it away because conversations from his brother and him had you sweating for the people who had their letters thrown away.

when you walked past his locker, you nearly choked on the straw you were chewing when rindou placed it in his bag and went off with his brother and your friends wonder why you nearly stumbled on one of them.

you had your afternoon hangouts with them and you fear they're going to pull out your letter and questioned if it was from you or your friends because they knew how you liked picking flowers to press them and you gripped your sandwich in hand when rindou started rummaging through his bag to take out something, if it wasn't obvious you were draining the sauce out of the sandwich.

"man, you made them run~ what kind of gentleman are you?" it irritates rindou and he bumped into ran on the way to his drawer, he opened it pulling out the stacks of letters, the smell of tea calming down his red self that was inches away of recreating the spice that was put in last night's noodles. he knew it was you but spots of uncertainty in his head made his heart shift that if you were really getting close to him for him or his brother.

he always checked through, scared he didn't notice any "pass this to ran ♡" or "dear ran", this was probably the time to actually talk to you about this and glancing at his brother made the older urge him on with a tilt to the head.

ran watched from the window, your figure running and with his clumsy brother catching up and his lips stretched as he sipped on his tea.

to be honest, he wanted to barf because both of you fumble like you were in your own world with rindou and the hesistant touches made ran look away.

Some answers to some of the questions I've gotten lately <3

I have sort of on purpose avoided face claims, and not advertised the art I've made because I really want the character to look how people want. If other people send me face claims I could post them and we could see if we all think similarly 😅

The two remaining ROs main (physically) defining qualities are,

A: gold coloring, meaning eyes are something between (hazel/warm golden brown/amber/) and the hair has some natural highlights that shine in a golden shade / shines in bright light (so hair is between: dark-blonde/red/warm brown/ + freckles). I have in my notes that they move like a cat... And they are considered very attractive in the 1800s.

I'm sure i've described them in more detail somewhere, but I couldn't find it right now.

H: Deep/dark/vibrant green eyes. They speak softly, but with authority. Great posture. Hamish is tall, Helena is short. Classical ideal gentleman/gentlewoman.

Important clarification

Ahh, yes—okay. I want to clarify this. The options with (<3) are not the only romantic options! There are sooo many romantic options. But the hearts are sometimes there to signify a difference from a similar platonic choice or if I think it is unclear in the choice text.

You can totally play many different types of sherlocks /flirts and still land a romance option! The (<3) is only a small part of the romance options!

And, also, the first choice with Watson in chapter 2 is only to set the MC's relation with Watson. It does not lock-in or -out a platonic or romantic relationship. It's just how Sherlock feels and have treated Watson in the past. The only way to lock out a romance with Watson (so far) is to choose the option in the character creator.

Hiii! <3<3<3 You can fight quite a lot—there are two choices that lower romance points with Lestrade, but it's not too much. If I can get some of my twine ideas to work you will definitely be able to have a dynamic relations shift that can change through out the chapters and then have it reacted upon. Stuff like " You don't argue with me anymore?" Or " You've never been *kind* before..."

<3 If you choose what I call the "tsundere" MC option Watson will (mostly) be able to figure it out. They find it cute. But there might be future moments—especially when it comes to important romantic questions where it might complicate matters. Things like "Do they really like me?? Or am I fooling myself?" might be increased playing a tsundere MC (but also a very shy MC that doesn't show how they feel or a very flirty MC that flirts with everyone...)

- all the info is so good, he’s great at explaining his points. y’know he makes his presentation on boring shit enertaining enough.

- teachers always say he’s the example of a perfect presentation.

- has a fuckin laser pointer he uses as he clicks thru the slides. doesn’t even have any notecards bc he has everything MEMORIZED.

- if he’s in a group he always forces them to just let him do all the work, so people get so mf pumped to have him in their group.

- literally tried his hardest to make it look as TERRIBLE as possible.

- he def will not know how to spell a word, look it up, and then copy and paste it in the middle of the paragraph. however, he’ll forget to set the font and size settings to match the rest of the words so it’s just blatantly obvious.

- worst font choice ever. literally he’s even squinting to read what’s on the board while he’s presenting bc it’s that bad,

- one time did a presentation with jean, and jean made the mistake of teaching him how to add music to the slides. they were in the middle of a presentation about genetics and ‘kiss me thru the phone’ was blasted through the speakers. jean was frantic trying to turn it off while connie sang along.

- adds pictures of things that are not even related to the subject. he really likes to put a png of a frog for some reason. he said it’s his signature.

- only person who does equally as well as armin. however boy is nervous af when he’s presenting. he gets a lil sweaty because he really wants a good grade.

- his slides are well put together, and they’re so neat!! he has a color scheme, but it’s not super intricate, yet still catches your eye. he puts a lot of effort in it.

- thrives in group presentations because he’s not up there alone speaking to everyone, usually does a lot better.

- sometimes when he presents he’ll just fixate on reiner and act like he’s just talking to him rather than the class. reiner is silently cheering him on as he goes.

- armin acc gets lowkey jelly bc bertholdt’s presentations are really good.

- actually puts decent effort in, rehearses too!! he usually tries to force connie and sasha to let him practice presenting to them, but they’re not any help whatsoever. he might even ask armin for assistance if it was a super important one.

- since he’s well-rehearsed he is pretty good at the actual presenting, but he just really wants it done and over with.

with the amount of asks i got and the things i’ve got going on in my personal life i don’t think i can answer them all before the season drops (which was i wanted to do) and these asks have been sitting in my inbox for too long already and i don’t just want to leave you all hanging so i thought i would compile a majority of the sprout asks here so you guys can read them, or add on to them or something! i’m gonna answer a few sprout asks and the random ones that are there later today some time, or tomorrow if i can’t find the time today!

Anyway - I started playing Trails in August, and I’ve finally, finally caught up (yes I know Hajimari I can’t read Japanese) and like... what do I do now?

It’s a fantastic series and I’m so, so glad I picked up Trails in the Sky on a whim last summer

This game was long. Is it longer than the other ones? It felt that way

The best part was the first chapter because Rean wasn’t in it and yeah I still don’t like him!!! But seriously, it was astonishing how much more I was enjoying things without him

I audibly groaned when goddamn bonding points returned in the second chapter

Actually that was a lie, the best part was Any Time My Angel Estelle Was On Screen

I missed her so much

I let her get the final hit of the game against the boss because she’s the best

Speaking of angels I caught three Wazy cameos!!!

Also Gilbert came back and if there had been a camera on me... I quite literally teared up a little I was so thrilled

I hate the curse it is dumb and rips all the nuance out of the characters. People do not need a goddamn evil curse to be swayed to extremes by overzealous nationalism. Trails I know you are better than this, I played Sky and Crossbell

Fav new location was Milsante (liked Alster too, though). I really like going to tiny little outposts and villages in JRPGs, they make the world feel more real

What the hell was up with the Osgiliath Basin? As in, Giliath Osborne??? Is this going to be a Hajimari thing?

Oh yeah, HOT TAKE, Alan Richard >>> Giliath Osborne. I was reading an LP of Sky FC while playing the game, and Richard’s motivation is clearer and less over-complex, more sympathetic, and he’s just generally a far more human character

Oh uh speaking of characters named Georg I will never not hate everything about the George and Angie subplot. Angie should have died and George should have stayed evil, or it shouldn’t have happened at all. As it is, it was a complete waste of time - you could take it all out and NOTHING would change

Angie would have been the perfect character to sacrifice as well, she’s just important enough that it would feel like ‘oh shit’s getting real’ but not so important that it’s unbelievable

(like Olivier. I could not fully believe they’d actually kill him, and the moment Laura told me ‘they never found the bodies’ I was like, oh, so they’re definitely all still alive, cool)

I mean, it would be a Bury Your Gays, but honestly... there are things I like about Angie, but is anyone really looking to her as a lesbian role model? I hope not. Yikes

So yeah I guess I hate George now for getting my hopes up and then being boring. Shame

I did the Towa romantic ending, of course. I genuinely think she’s the best match for Rean, of all his love interests

Chaaaracters

Rean: Still the least interesting person. Not a good sign when I’m sadder about the robot dying than the main protagonist yeeting himself into the sun (side note, the two endings thing? Unnecessary and dumb). There is no reason girls would like him this much, blah blah I’ve said it all before. Liked his new hair. Honestly would have respected it if they’d had the balls to kill him off. I basically never even used him in battle lol, Juna became my new team leader

Juna: Honourary protagonist imo. I’ve changed my mind since CS3, she’s my fav new Class VII without a doubt. She’s just really good and full of personality and depth and OH GOD WHY IS SHE CRUSHING ON REAN WHY FALCOM WHY

Kurt: pls falcom don’t try to force this aroace king into a nonsense ship with Sully I liked her but what are you doing, anyway Kurt is great and he got cool new swords and he got to hang out with Mueller, who I adore, I love Kurt

Altina: I also love this little bunny. Her relationship with Millium is so lovely and seeing her grow and become her own person made me so happy and OH GOD WHY IS SHE CRUSHING ON REAN WHY FALCOM I LITERALLY SAID SHE HAS THE BEST RELATIONSHIP WITH REAN OF ALL THE GIRLS BECAUSE SHE DOESN’T DO THAT IN THE LAST GAME WHY DO YOU HATE ME????

Musse: Yeah I’m still not sold on Musse but I liked her better this time! I like a smart, confident girl! Just stop being weird about your teacher and we’d be golden!

Ash: Good boy. Sweet boy. Ash and Joshua game now Falcom

Alisa: Still cannot believe she’s presented as the deuteragonist by the marketing - but you know what? Solid arc, she got some closure with her parents, maybe she and Jusis can get together for tea and complain about their messed up families. She’s never going to be a character I like all that much, but I don’t dislike her. I just wish she hadn’t clearly been written as ‘Rean’s love interest’ before anything else

Elliot: I love Elliot, I really do. I mean, I wish he hadn’t been flanderised to the point of speaking in music puns half the time, but he’s a solid, consistently pleasant character

Laura: Goddamnit Falcom please give Laura anything resembling an emotion regarding her dad dying. Also you tell me she’s kind of oblivious and stuff but we never see it. I like Laura but she really could have been more

Machias: I love Machias, fight me fan base. He’s so funny to me. It feels like, at this point, all he really wants is a nice office job, near a nice coffee shop, where he files papers and sometimes gets to yell at corrupt rich people, but NO, he has to run about in dungeons and fight monsters, and are you FUCKING kidding me, ANOTHER crazy snake cultist!?!? It’s great, he’s the only one who’s just done with it all and love it

I low key headcanon that he and Jusis are kinda dating at this point, but we don’t see anything because the games are from Rean’s POV and they don’t want to tell him because they know he’d be weird about it

Jusis: I still really like Jusis! He’s interesting, and his surrogate brother-sister relationship with Millium is so sweet (yes, I saw that bouquet catch, Falcom, and I hate it, stop it, gross). Awesome to see him confront his brother, obviously I let him have the final blow. Rufus was a great antagonist. Jusis has some of the best development over the games, and is also really fun to use in battle (apparently I am the only one who feels this way though :/ ah well)

Fie: I was surprised by how much I liked Fie’s confession scene, seeing as I don’t like Rean/Fie at ALL. Fie finally gets to have feelings about her dad, and we see her working with Zin at the end! Very happy for Fie, best girl

Emma: Ahhh I still find Emma kinda dull and exposition heavy, but she also had a nice arc, I liked her relationship with Rose, all good

Rose beat me at Vantage Masters for 40 minutes lol

Gaius: It’s still extremely funny to me that Gaius became one of the most important people on the continent *off screen*. And he still doesn’t really do anything. He has his own airship now, I guess. Justice for Gaius

Sara: Kind of faded from relevance after CS1, but I do really like her all the same. And I loved her speech at the end

Crow: At the end his hair got darker and everyone was like ‘you’re back to normal!’ and I literally did not realise he was meant to have been looking different

But anyway Crow is a really good character and I literally never didn’t enjoy him. I love the bit where Jusis and Machias team up to call him a cringy edgelord, because they are right. Crow is fantastic

Towa: Towa has never done anything wrong in her life and all of Erebonia should pay for her therapy

Patrick: I cannot believe how much I love Patrick now, compared to CS1. He’s just such a sweetie. Good boy

Elise: Take her to the sun with you, Rean. Pointless character

Alfin: Is she the heir now? I hope so. She’s such a funny character, not my fav, but I enjoyed her

Angie and George: Should have died, moving on

Celine: I love her, but did she really need a human form? No, no she did not. Great character though

Tita: Special mention, because you know what? I do not like this version of Tita! Like I said, I was reading FC recently and she was so much better there! Now a third of her lines are just her saying ‘Agate’ in various different tones. And it feels like she’s lost a lot of her confidence, where’s the little girl who followed us up Carnelia Tower? I would have preferred them to just not bring her back at all

Duvalie: Haha I love Duvalie she’s great. Stop implying that she’s crushing on Rean. Literally WHY would she. Ugh

Rose: Everything about Rose is great, I would play a full game about her backstory. More Rose

Obviously I like Machias/Jusis because I am BASIC

I didn’t like Olivier/Schera back in Sky, but you know what? They sold me. It’s cute (even if I feel Schera’s character was neglected in favour of Being A Love Interest, sigh). Though I’m not sure when Olivier made the switch from ‘Schera is one of many people I flirt with’ to ‘Schera is my one and only’?

But am I the only person who’s kinda on the Oliver/Schera/Mueller train? I’m not normally into OT3s, but Olivier and Mueller have one of the best dynamics in the series, and Schera and Mueller would probably get along great if they were ever allowed to properly interact. And you know Olivier would be down

Like I say, I do not like Jusis/Millium at all, it’s not a ‘I like another ship better’ thing, it just massively skeeves me out because of the maturity difference 

Ash/Tatiana was unexpected but adorable

Patrick/Elise, because I want Patrick to be happy and Rean to be mad

I hope Anton and Sharon really do get together. Sharon deserves unconditional love and Anton deserves a happy ending

Other stuff There was this one scene where Gaius says how nice it is that Mueller cares about Olivier and Mueller just snaps his head round and the scene ends, and I don’t think it was meant to be funny but I laughed for like a full minute

The intro to the music at Mishelam is extremely creepy to me

I love the Pom Party mini game a whole lot

There were... a lot of typos in the second half of the script. It’s massive, so I’m not mad, but I hope there’s a patch at some point

its time for another one of my half awake rambles about love and the universe so sorry if any of this is worded weird or doesnt make sense but anyway something that ive struggled with a huge amount in the past has been feeling like people i love dont love me as much as i love them or that people always like other people around them more than they like me but honestly working thru that has made me realize that like.... for one.. no one is going around ranking their friends or ranking the people in their life literally the only person ive ever known who ever told me that she was ranking her friends was a horrible person who traumatized me like.. im not waking up in the morning and thinking "oh i like this person more than i like this person" like thats just not.. idk thats just not how i think most people go about human connections..

this morning i was honestly thinking about how i missed a friend who i havent been able to talk to for like all of this year and thinking about how he is and hoping that hes doing well and laughing to myself about things we used to joke about.

and what im getting at with that is like i havent talked to this friend for most of this year but he still has a special place in my heart and i still love him and care about him. there is no leader board ranking in my heart of whos number one and whos on the bottom, and whenever ive been feeling unloved or unwanted ive been trying to remind myself of that.

like jusy because im not talking to someone every second of every day doesnt mean i dont care about them or vice versa theres sooo many countless times where ill see something or do something and ill think of someone i know fondly because it reminds me of them and i might not message them to tell them that i thought of them with it (because im still working thru feeling annoying jdsj) but that love is still real and still there and its not a competition!!! its not a competition!

and yknow what even if someone did care about someone else more or did love someone else more those are their feelings and theyre allowed to feel them and i cant control that (& shouldnt want to control anyones feelings) and im not entitled to their feelings and it would be ok if someone liked someone else more than me because that doesnt negate or erase our friendship and doesnt negate or erase how we like each other because its different relationships between different people so of course the dynamic and feelings are going to be different!

anyway! your friends and loved ones are not ranking you love is not a competition and the people in your life do in fact care about you even when its hard to remember that but also if the people in ur life arent treating u well and are actively being hurtful to u then pls remember that u deserve better than that and you deserve to feel loved and appreciated. anyway if u read all of this ily go get some water

THE STORY LMAOO, so A DIFFERENT FRIEND LOL, like my oldest bff, we had a day together and we wanted to go see chaos walking. and i honest to God thought that no one would be seeing this movie. like NO ONE. every day, i checked the theater seating and no one was there right? plus i really wanted us to have the theater to ourselves. so we sit in the wrong seats, the row in front of us, STILL THINKING WE’RE ALONE. and then these 3 older people came in AND IM ABOUT TO SCREAM FHSJSH AND IM LIKE “are we in your seats?” and they we were like uh yeah, AND IT WAS SO BAD LMAOO , we’re moving and everything would’ve been FINE but my friend’s reclined seat was going down so slow and as it’s going shes LITERALLY SAYING ALOUD “awkward awkward awkward” so she thinks forget it, lemme just get up. SIMS ahhh, BUNK BEDS, ahhhh sdljdjdjdkdkdldksj i actually haven‘t played it since the update 🤧🤧 i made both of my sims (enisa (bestselling author already, thank you) and michael (aspiring doctor)) go to university and bro it takes so long 😭😭 and you can‘t do anything else if you want them to do well so literally the last three times i played sims i was just constantly clicking their homework and computerd to write their assignments (i play it in german so idk what its called on the sims) and do their presentations and do them all over again so that they get better or whatever for HOURS, but imma play again soon

also i‘m living my fanfiction life loool, so i made my two sims neighbours (on the same plot tho but i made two small separate houses lol, i still wanted to control both of them at the same time but i made sure they didn‘t interact before i wanted them to skdjdjdk). and first they both experimented and got some experience in the love department you know (all genders, cause i have to live my sexuality even in a pc game slskdjh— wait, i‘ve never lived my sexuality irl like i‘ve done NOTHING nothing with guys nothing with girls (🥲) but maybe that’s why i want to do it even more in the sims) and then they met at uni and realised like hey we‘re neighbours and now they‘re together (but michael accidentally had an alien baby with another woman (who was an alien which i was not aware of) cause i wasn‘t paying attention like i said woohoo not try for baby like michael why is your pull out game so weak tf LSHDDHDJDJSKKDKSKDKS okay but making out and flirting and doing all the fun stuff in the sims turns me on way more than it should PFAHAHHAHSH) so idk why i told you this but I’m creating that neighbour!au in the sims lmaoooo

Hi i love your blog! Ive been single my whole life and i just need some confidence tips bc its gotten to the point where if i think about what it would be like if a guy liked me i actually feel weird and embarrassed. I get like second-hand embarrassment from it?? Like it feel like an absolutely ridiculous thing to think about.

I got two asks asking relatively the same stuff, so I am answering them both in one post. 

This concept of keeping lovers and friends as separate entities is often what makes us anxious. I mean, if you can’t be friends with a guy first, chances are, it’s going to be near impossible for you to be in a healthy romantic relationship with them  as well.

They are flawed humans, just like you and me. There’s going to be things you’ll like about them and things you’ll hate. Likewise, there will be things about you that he’ll like and things he won’t like. And that’s fine!

It helps to think of guys you like as friends that you can also be physically close to. It means you can do what friends do, like joke around and do dumb stuff, and then maybe make out afterwards as lovers do. But if you can’t do the casual dumb stuff, then the romantic stuff feels more awkward and impersonal. 

Act like you would any other person, and then if it turns into more, then expand on that preexisting friendship.

Second of all: Being single =/= Being unattractive. 

There are so many conventionally beautiful people that are CHOOSING to stay single so that they can focus on themselves and their dreams.

Even if they don’t mind being in a relationship, they take advantage of the single time to develop themselves and work on their goals in the mean time. That way, when the right person comes along, they already know who they are and what they want before adding this new person into their lives.

Here are some tips on how to feel more confident:

Dress to feel good. It doesn’t have to be what’s trending, but you should FEEL good wearing it. Same goes with hair and makeup. Do as much as you feel like, but don’t do it because you feel like you SHOULD. Here’s a post I made about dressing up for a date night, if you wanna take an extra step for a date.

Learn more. Ever heard the saying jack of all trades; master of none? That doesn’t apply to conversation. If you’re an expert in, say, computers, so that’s all you focused on, then you’d have to wait for a conversation about that topic to feel smart or at least have the ability to relate to the other person. But if you know a little bit about a hundred different topics, then you can at least keep up with a variety of conversation, and learn new things about the topic along the way. Keep up with the news, read books, listen to podcasts, etc. I personally don’t like a lot of r&b but I still listen to what’s trending at least once so that if someone asks if I’ve heard the latest Ariana song or whatever (is she even r&b?) I can at least have something to say, even if it isn’t “I love it”. The same can apply to virtually any topic.

Know yourself. You don’t have to go discover nirvana, but you should at least know what you like and what you don’t like, so that you can filter out the bad from the good and save yourself a lot of time and heartbreak. This, again, applies to more than your romantic or even social life. If you know what you want, you’re less likely to waste time doing things you don’t want, like taking the wrong course or job. BUT, sometimes, knowing yourself means learning from your mistakes, so if you mess up, or if you get hurt, just remember that this is a learning opportunity for next time. 

Be nice. You could be Miss Universe, but if you are rude, you’ll always look awful. Now, I’m not saying that you should be a pushover, but you shouldn’t be rude either. If there is something that you can’t or really don’t want to do, apologize and explain that you cannot do that thing. But do try to help others and be polite whenever you can, unless they’re awful.

Fake it. If all else fails and you feel like you’re sticking out like a sore thumb, don’t let anyone know. Pretend you belong. Pretend that you know what you’re doing. If you believe that you deserve the world, one day you will. Fake it till you make it!

I've got to ask about AU Abroad, the alliterative bounce to the title alone is a delight XD

@ice-connoisseur thank you so much for asking & your interest! <3 it’s very very much a working title but works as a bit of a summary too! so this book-to-be is two different plot ideas that came together

1, I don’t think I’ve ever read a fantasy novel set during a semester abroad, & my semester abroad was incredibly significant in shaping my current self & was my chance to take Celtic Mythology & none of my writing’s been ‘mythic’ in too long

2, this part of the concept’s a bit meta. in recent years I’ve come to love a good modern-AU! fan fic BUT for some reason the fandoms I read them for tend to be generally “terrible things happen to these characters in canon!” & for me therein lies the appeal?? the reprieve from their fates & getting drawn together in this other world? and so I’d been thinking about ‘how can i translate the feeling that gives me into something original’

and so! AU Abroad! In which 6 characters all abroad in Ireland find themselves weirdly, emotionally drawn to each other & try to figure out what they’re dealing with: reincarnation/past lives? an actual echoing alternate universe? a haunting? magic? it’s all a bit murky but right now it looks a little like this. 

It starts with a boy weeping on a sofa at a party & the girl whose sense of responsibility drives her to step in

“Okay,” she said, at last. “Okay. Who died?”  

His tear-streaked face turned up to hers so suddenly Jusie lurched backwards.

“Who died?” he repeated.

“Was that the wrong question?” Jusie asked, but his water-fogged eyes continued to look both fixed on her and far away.

“Everybody died,” the weeping boy said. “Him. Her. Me.”

Jusie wanted to laugh. She shivered instead.  

“And you were there,” the boy said, a little wonderingly, and resumed his weeping, all the harder for his words.

& the second chapter belongs to the weeping boy who’s really confused why he wants to murder his new roommate & also:

“I don’t cry,” Bryan said absently, only the girl’s grip on his arm assuring him he wasn’t sleepwalking. “I’m not a drunk crier. Or a weird drunk.”

           “Just worried you’re a murderous drunk?” the girl said, her voice low. She pressed Bryan’s shoes and shirt into Bryan’s arms.

           “No!” Bryan said. “…Do I seem murderous?”

           “Buddy,” the girl said, “if I thought you seemed capable of murdering me, I would not have let you sleep it off in my bed.”

           “I’m Bryan,” he said. “With a Y.”

           The girl pursed her lips and muttered, “I thought it’d be something like that. Good luck, Bryan.” She moved to push him out the door, but Bryan held his ground.

           “I’m really confused,” he said, and the girl snapped, “I can tell.”

           “About the crying,” Bryan said. “I am a happy person.”

           The girl, more kindly, even as she was putting her hand on her apartment door to edge it closed, said, “Maybe, sometimes, we need to look a little deeper.”

           “Really,” Bryan said, putting his own bare foot in the doorway. He didn’t want to physically hold the door open. He was pretty sure this girl could hip check him, but also pretty sure she wouldn’t truly slam the door on his foot. No, positive. She was kind down to her strong bone structure.

            It was just a logical assumption, given how she’d set him up in her own bed, but he was sure of that, down to his own bones.

           “I’m not that deep,” Bryan said, a little desperately.

& the third chapter, which remains to be finished is the character whose plotline I may be most emotionally invested in but you can’t tell that yet!:

Mila was having a full Irish breakfast with Irish coffee, because she could, in Ireland, no one was going to tell her it was too early to drink and twenty was of-age here. It was her first legal drink.

It was her first full drink, period, and so maybe it was the drink, making the conversation of the two equally-young people in the booth next to her sound so absolutely batshit crazy. They were so preoccupied they hadn’t paid much mind to her when they sat down. The boy, who was tall, was facing away from her; the girl, seated, she couldn’t see over the booth. They’d looked incongruous, walking in together. The boy was a readymade extra for any sports movie, built to be a background set piece. The girl, in her leather jacket, was attractive in a way Mila immediately envied, that easy-in-her-skin, exuding-surety vibe pushing the world out of her way from the second she walked in.

“I have never met anyone more murder-able,” the boy said, the moment the server took their order and walked away.

“Murder-able is not a word,” the girl responded, immediately.

“You noticed too. I saw you look between the knives. And his throat. Repeatedly.”

That was where Mila had stopped idly overhearing and began actively eavesdropping.

(and there will be interludes between chapters of the mysterious AU too with its Cities in the Mist & King-that-Never-Was and MUCH remains to be figured out but I *do* like what little there is! I just have... a lot of little bits of too many things at present!)
