For the Couples he forgot.
It looks nice for Riya to get and start a relationship with Mono. Which is pretty fine to us to see since Riya might like to have a relationship with somebody. Now Spot, Riya, Cude and Miya now have relative couples on their side. Normally for Tory, she has so many guys to be with. Depends who she enjoys the most. But Shadow will always have Lisa.

It looks nice to see his photo from Gran Turismo 4 and remembering Grand Valley Speedway. And Speaking of Grand Valley Speedway, I heard that they're going to return that track to put it in Gran Turismo 7 which I'm really excited about! And maybe if I have time after all the drawings I'm doing, I might go on my PlayStation 5 and check it out.
Shadow R 😺🗡️: That's a good idea! I love that track too like if we ever want to challenge the turnings and sharp turns just like with Midfield Raceway and Laguna Seca, I bet that can be something for me and Spot if we ever like to race. The same goes for Tory, Lisa, Riya, Miya and Bonn as well.

60) In the shoin, when the [cha-]tsubo is displayed in the toko, or under the chigai-dana, it is also the case that the mouth [of the jar] should be cut¹.
    Before the meal [the cha-tsubo] is lowered and [the paper tape sealing] its mouth is cut open².  As the coverings are being removed, the guests express their desire to look at the jar³:  [in particular] the name-seal of the chashi [茶師] should be inspected carefully⁴.
○ There is also the case where, after [the jar] is returned to the host, and it has been carried out to the katte, the mouth will be cut open⁵.  Or, again, in front of the guests a small knife is brought out and the mouth is cut [in the tearoom]⁶.
○ [Because this is the kuchi-kiri gathering,] leaving the mouth [of the jar] uncut is disquieting⁷.  [Rather,] it is better [to wait] to inspect [the jar] until after the cut has been made⁸.
    That the name-seal stamped on the front side [of the jar’s mouth] should be left intact [while the guests inspect the jar] is the ku-den⁹.
○ [There are] various other procedures [for the handling of the cha-tsubo, and the way to remove the tea therefrom], but it is difficult to write them all down [here]¹⁰.

    In the Enkaku-ji manuscript (as published in the Sadō ko-ten zen-shū [茶道古典全集]), and in Tanaka Senshō‘s teihon, however, the two are separated into distinct entries.  Given the length of the section relating to the kuchi-kiri in the sō-an, it seems best to follow Tanaka’s and the Enkaku-ji’s manuscripts here, and keep the two parts as separate entries.
¹Shoin ni, toko, chigae-dana no shita nado ni tsubo kazarite kuchi-kiri mo ari [書院ニ、床、違棚ノ下ナトニ壺カザリテ口切モアリ].
    Toko, chigai-dana no shita [床、違棚の下] means (the jar may be displayed) on the floor of the toko, or on the shelf underneath the chigai-dana.
    Kuchi-kiri [口切] means to cut open the mouth (of the cha-tsubo).
    According to the kai-ki [會記] that survive from that period, in Rikyū's day the cha-tsubo was frequently displayed during the gathering -- especially in rooms of 4.5-mats and larger.  But the ceremonial cutting of the mouth took place only the first time that the jar was opened (that year)*, and it meant that the guests would be served with the new tea that was ground into matcha over the course of the shoza. __________ *Prior to the first time that the jar was opened (that year), the paper tape that sealed the jar’s mouth would bear the name-seal of the person who oversaw the filling of the jar (impressed where the ends of the tape overlapped).
    After the jar was opened for the first time, it was resealed with a new paper tape, but the overlap was sealed with the host’s stamp.
²Ōban izen ni tori-oroshite kuchi wo kiri nari [椀飯已前ニ取ヲロシテ口ヲ切也].
    Ōban [椀飯] literally means “food served in lacquered bowls;” and, by extension, a formal meal*.
    In other words, before the kaiseki was served, the cha-tsubo would be lowered from the place where it was displayed and the mouth of the jar would be cut open so the host could remove sufficient tea for the day's gathering. ___________ *Because the host should extend the shoza as long as possible -- since the longer it lasts, the more matcha can be ground -- an especially large kama was typically used, and a more elaborate meal was served than usual.
    The latter accounts for Nambō Sōkei’s choice of the word ōban [椀飯], rather than kaiseki [懷石] (which implies a meal no larger than what is necessary to prevent the guests from experiencing the negative effects of drinking koicha on an empty stomach).
³Shōzoku hazushitaru toki, kyaku shomō-shite tsubo wo miru [裝束ハヅシタルトキ、客所望シテ壺ヲ見ル].
    Shōzoku [裝束] means dress, costume.

    In the case of the cha-tsubo, this refers to the ami [網] (the net storage bag)* and the kuchi-ōi [口覆い] (the fabric cover that is tied over the lid and neck†), both of which can be seen in the above photo.
    Shōzoku hazushitaru toki [裝束外したる時] means “when the ami and kuchi-ōi are being removed....”
    Shomō-suru [所望する] means to ask or express a desire (to inspect the cha-tsubo).
    Some people include the four long cords‡ that are tied onto the jar in this tally, but that is not really correct, since the function of the cords was taken over by the ami**. __________ *The ami [網] prevents the sides of the jar from directly coming into contact with the sides of the wooden storage box in which the cha-tsubo is kept -- because such contact could result in the accumulation of moisture in that spot, which could infiltrate into the jar and cause the tea to molder.
    The wooden storage box is used as a way to control the humidity within the jar (since moisture diffuses only slowly through the dried paulownia wood).  Sealing the tea in the jar (which is only partially glazed, for the same reason of allowing moisture to diffuse through the clay) allows the moisture content in the leaves to increase slightly (they are fully dried before packing) over the several months between the time when the jar was packed (early May) and the time it is cut open for the first time (sometime in November), so that the tea will not be affected by static electricity after it is ground the way modern, vacuum-packed matcha is.
†The kuchi-ōi is there to prevent dust from accumulating around the mouth and lid -- which otherwise could contaminate the tea when the jar was opened.
‡Nowadays, it is usual to only see three, since the one on the back side is left off.
**The cords were tied on the jar to prevent it from contacting the sides of the storage box.  This is why there was originally one present on the back side of the jar as well (though usually ignored by many of the modern schools today).  The four musubi-gata [結び形] shown below were standardized during the Edo period (it seems that originally the knots tied on the sides -- by inserting the cord through the ears -- were identical; as were those tied on the front and back, which are attached to the jar around its neck).

    Once the idea for the net storage bag became popular, the long cords were reduced to decorative elements that were tied on the jar during the shoza of the kuchi-kiri chakai -- allowing the host (or, perhaps, one of the guests) to demonstrate his or her skill.  (The competitive Japanese penchant for showing off, and winning praise, is revealed in this behavior.  Originally the cords were only tied on just before the cha-tsubo was put into its storage box, and removed when it was taken out, so they were rarely seen by anyone but the host or his assistant.)

⁴Chashi no han wo kokoro-tsukete miru nari [茶師ノ印判ヲ心付テ見ルナリ].
    Chashi no han [茶師の印判] means the name-seal of the person who oversaw the packing of tea into the jar.  In the modern day, this is usually said to be the owner of the tea plantation, but in Rikyū's day it was more likely the manager of the tea-shop with which the host did business.
    Kokoro-tsukete miru nari [心付けて見るなり] means that the name-seal (which is stamped on the place where the ends of the paper sealing tape overlap) should be inspected carefully -- to ascertain that it is the seal of the tea official, rather than the host (this certifies that it is truly the kuchi-kiri gathering for that cha-tsubo†). ___________ *The preferred reading of the kanji-compound “印判,” in classical times, was han [ハン] -- not inban [インバン], as it is today.
†In Rikyū’s day, the kuchi-kiri was celebrated any time that a jar of tea was opened for the first time since it had been sealed by the chashi.  Since most professional chajin owned more than one cha-tsubo, the kuchi-kiri chakai [口切茶會] occurred a little more frequently than in the present day, and was not necessarily restricted to the beginning of winter.
⁵Teishu uke-totte katte [h]e mochi-irete kuchi-kiri mo ari [亭主請取テ勝手ヘ持入テ口切モアリ].
    Uke-totte [請け取って = 受け取って] means to receive (or, more literally, to accept back).
⁶Mata kyaku-mae ni te ko-gatana wo motte kiri mo ari [又客前ニテ小刀ヲ以テ切モアリ].
    Kyaku-mae ni te [客前にて] means in front of the guests.
    While this seems to have been the original way of doing things, the practice increasingly fell into disuse over the course of the second half of the sixteenth century -- because both Nobunaga and Hideyoshi had an intense aversion to the presence of a blade in the tearoom.
⁷Kiri hanashi nikui-mono nari [切ハナシニクキモノ也].
    Kiri hanashi [切放し] means (the mouth) is not cut open.
    Nikui-mono nari [難いものなり] means the situation is difficult or uncomfortable.
    In other words, the reason that the cha-tsubo is displayed is to show the guests the source of the tea that they will be served during the goza.  This is so whether the jar is displayed with the chashi’s seal, or with the host’s seal.
    If the jar is not cut open, what was the purpose of displaying it?  This is the difficulty*, and it will leave the guests with an uncomfortable feeling. __________ *In the modern tea world, the cha-tsubo is usually displayed during the first gathering held with the ro at the beginning of winter (usually during the first half of November).  Frequently, the jar is actually empty.  This is the kind of katachi-dake [形だけ] (“merely for form’s sake”) behavior that is being called out for criticism here.
⁸Katana-me wo iru made ni te yoshi [刀目ヲ入ルマデニテヨシ].
    Katana-me wo iru made [刀目を入るまで] means “until (made [まで]) the cut (katana-me [刀目]) has been inflicted (iru [入る]).”
⁹Mae no kata no in ha kiri-nokosu-koto ku-den nari [前ノ方ノ印ハ切殘スコト口傳也].
    As with the sa-tsū-bako [茶通箱] and other instances where a utensil has been sealed with a paper-tape onto which someone's name stamp has been applied, all of the tape is cut except the place where the stamp is located.  That is left intact while the guests inspect the jar.  Only when it is returned to the host is this final cut made, so the lid may be lifted off.  This is the ku-den.
◎ That the ku-den is spelled out explicitly in the text of the entry is very exceptional for the Nampō Roku, and shows just how important this point was understood to be by the chajin of Jōō’s and Rikyū’s day.
¹⁰Sama-zama shikata ari, kaki-tsuke gatashi [サマザマ仕方アリ、書付ガタシ].
    Shikata [仕方] means the ways to do something -- the various procedures governing the handling of the cha-tsubo, the cutting of the seal, and the removal of some of its tea.
    Kaki-tsuke gatai [書付け難い] means it is difficult to write them all down.
    This relates to the two basic ways that the kuchi-kiri gathering can be accomplished.  Today, the most usual way is for the cha-tsubo to be taken back to the mizuya immediately after the guests have finished inspecting the jar (prior to which the tape was cut all the way around except where the name-seal was impressed on the front).  Once in the mizuya, the tape is fully cut, the jar is opened, a suitable amount of tea leaves is removed, and the jar is resealed.  In the tearoom itself, the only thing to remind the guests that this is a kuchi-kiri gathering is the sound of the tea-mill grinding the tea in the mizuya.
     In the less common form of the kuchi-kiri, after the guests have inspected the jar and the intact seal, the host cuts through the seal before their eyes, and removes some of the tea in their presence.  This is done by pouring enough of the tea leaves used as packing material out onto a sort of wooden funnel until one of the bags of koicha-quality tea is exposed.  The bag is removed, and the tea leaves in the funnel are poured back into the cha-tsubo -- which is then resealed with a new paper tape, over which the host impresses his seal. Then the tea, and the jar, are taken back to the mizuya, where the tea is ground over the course of the shoza (and naka-dachi) as before.
    As the naka-dachi is drawing to an end, the host puts the freshly ground tea into the chaire that he has selected to use for that day’s temae, and either displays the chaire on the utensil mat as usual, or else waits and carries it into the room in his hand when making his entrance*.
    According to Rikyū, the host might make the koicha a little thinner than usual (especially if the amount of matcha is small†), so that the guests will be able to drink it all up with little cha-no-ato remaining in the chawan (he should announce this before he adds hot water to the matcha in the chawan).  And also, unlike the usual way that he served koicha‡, on the occasion of the kuchi-kiri one single bowl of koicha should be passed around and shared by all of the guests** -- so that everyone can taste the flavor of the first bowl of tea prepared from the tea in that cha-tsubo. ___________ *This conveys the impression that the host has wanted to grind as much tea as humanly possible, without putting pressure on the fire (if he delays too long, the fire will begin to fail before the temae has been concluded).
†In this case, he pours the entire contents of the chaire into the chawan, rather than measuring it out with the chashaku.  For this reason, a ko-natsume [小ナツメ] was usually his preferred chaire on this kind of occasion.
‡Rikyū preferred to serve the shōkyaku an individual bowl of koicha, and then have the other guests, by twos, share the successive bowls of koicha.
**This practice is called sui-cha [吸い茶].  According to Rikyū, it was started by the tea plantations, so that all of the buyers could experience the same taste before the auction commenced.
    As mentioned above, the purpose here is so that all of the guests can experience the taste of the first bowl of tea that is prepared with the tea from the newly opened jar, since the taste of this bowl of tea will be more perfect than that of any other bowl of tea prepared from the contents of that jar (since the tea begins to degrade as soon as the jar has been cut open, and its contents exposed to the air)..

A Cat's Life

Yook Sungjae was walking around the street, his tail swishes back and forth behind him as the moon illuminates his way.
He looked up and saw a lady leaning on the windowsill as she stared at the moon, illuminating her features.
Captivated, he decided to approach her.
"Kore wa kawaii ojousan! (What a cute young lady we have here!)" He appeared in front of her which emitted a surprised expression on the lady's face. "Masshiro na ke ga totemo suteki ne! (Your pure white fur is so lovely and superb!)" Sungjae complimented when he took notice of her tail which she was stroking in front of her.
"Konna tsuki ga kirei na yoru wa boku to issho ni asobimasen ka? (In this night with such a beautiful moon, would you like to play together with me?)" He smiled at her and held out his hand as an invitation but she just stared at him blankly, holding her tail closely to her chest.
"NYANsei wa ichido-kiri tanoshimu ga kachi na no desu. (A cat can only live once, so it's all about having fun.)" Sungjae tried to convince her as he let his hand fall to his side.
"Anata o shibaru kubiwa wa kamichigitte agemashou? (Shall I tear that collar around your neck to pieces with my teeth?)" He cocked his head to the side in an angle that gave him full view of her collar and gave a toothy grin that made an annoyed expression take up the lady's face.
"Nora wa saikou! NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ (Being a stray cat is the best! Meow meow meow ♪)" Sungjae leaned on the windowsill with his back on the lady to look at the view on this height.
"Sakana kusunete, HATO oikakete hiruma wa hataraku ningen o shirime ni yane no ue de yume-utsutsu (I steal fish to eat, chase after pigeons, and look down on the working humans from the roof, where I doze off into a light nap.)" He smiled and gave a little chuckle as he told her of his misadventures.
"Anata mo jiyuu ni. NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ (You should be free, too. Meow meow meow ♪)" Sungjae peeked over his shoulder to look at her with a smile.
"Suteki na nakama mo shoukai shimashou. Saa, sono mado o hiraite tobidasu no desu! (I'll also introduce some great buddies to you. Come now, open up that window and leap right out!)" He turned to her with a determined look on his face, it was as if he was sure that she'll come and run away with him.
The lady gave a huff and looked at him with glinting eyes.
"Kore wa kimama na noraneko-san! (What a willful Mr. Stray we have here!)" She shot him a sly smirk.
"Yami no naka me dake ga hikatte'ru. Zuibun kuchi ga jouzu da kedo watashi wa BAKA na onna ja nai wa (Only your eyes are sparkling in the darkness. You sure know how to talk with that mouth, but I am not a dumb lady.)" She looked him straight in the eye, proud that she didn't give in for his charms easily.
"NYANsei wa ichido-kiri dakara koso kawareru no yo. (A cat can only live once, so that's why I am being kept as a pet." She crossed her arms in front of her as her tailed swished behind her slowly.
"BURANDO kubiwa no kachi ga anata ni wa wakaru kashira? (Do you even have the faintest idea how much the collar of this brand costs?)" She pointed at her collar that Sungjae wanted to tear off her neck.
"Watashi wa yuuga yo. NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ (I am graceful. Meow meow meow ♪)" She flipped her hair behind her shoulder, making sure he was still paying attention to her.
"Oishii shokuji ni fukafuka BEDDO. (I eat delicious meals and sleep on a fluffy bed.)" She poked his nose with a sly smile on her lips. "Mizu wa choppiri nigate da kedo mainichi SHAWAA datte abireru no. (Although I slightly dislike water, I still take a shower everyday.)" She let out a sigh.
"Sore ni kurabete NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ anata wa dare ni mamotte morau no? Ashita kuruma ni hikareru ka mo shirenai ja nai! (Compared to me, meow meow meow♪ from whom can you seek protection? Tomorrow, just maybe, you could be run over by a car!)" She voiced out as she leaned on one leg with her hands still crossed in front of her as her tail swishes back and forth behind her.
"Sonna tsuyoki na toko mo suteki desu. Issou anata o suki ni narimashita. (Your assertive sassiness is charming, too. I'm beginning to take a liking to you.)" Sungjae smirked at her.
"Ara shoujiki ne, demo sonna yarikata ja KOKORO yuraganai wa. (Oh my, how blunt, but what you're doing will not be able to move my heart.)" She replied and rolled her eyes at him as they talk more and more.
"Boku no yume wa NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ itsuka wa kono machi o tobidashite haruka kita no kuni ni tabishite OORORA o kono me de miru koto desu. (My dream, meow meow meow ♪ is to leap out of this town eventually, journey to the distant Northern land, and watch the aurora lights there.)" Sungjae said with a smile as he looked up at the sky.
"Soko ni anata ga NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ ite kuretara nante suteki deshou dakedo sore wa kanawanai rashii... (If you, meow meow meow♪ could be there with me, it'd be wonderful. But I guess it will never happen...)" He looked back at her and gave a small sympathetic smile, almost as if he was pleading her to come with him and fulfill that dream.
She gave a huff, almost a regretful one since his dream seemed to be really nice.
"Ikikata wa NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ sou kantan ni wa kaerarenai no sore ni watashi o katte iru onna no ko o hitori ni dekinai wa. (My way of living, meow meow meow♪ cannot be changed so easily. Besides, I simply do not have the heart to abandon the girl who keeps me as her pet.)" She looked down sadly before she looked up to give him a sad smile but he was already walking away by the time she looked up.
"Hey!" She called out angrily at his retreating form.
"Hanashi no tochuu yo NYAN NYAN NYAN♪ ara mou icchau no? Nee chotto! Ashita mo koko ni kite ii no yo (I'm still talking, meow meow meow♪ are you already leaving? Com'on,Wait! Please feel free to visit me again tomorrow.)" She called out to him and he just replied with a thumbs up and wave before he slowly disappeared from view.
"Matte'ru kara... (I will be waiting...)"
