You know, before this I honestly kept forgetting he exists...but after doing a lore dive and doing these general hcs I'm feeling like he's going to become a favorite.

As a note for tagging, I typically use a character's human name for my blog's tagging system, but since "Joker" is a name used in so many fandoms, his will be "weeping clown x reader"

Identity(V) Headcanons: Joker

-The acid which scarred him was only mixed with his colored face paints. The white base he uses didn’t harm him, so the scarring he has is mostly around his mouth and down from his eyes, following the shape of the red lips and teardrops he painted on. He still wears face paint most days to try and cover what he can of the scarring, but he’s paranoid about what he uses now. He keeps his paints locked away where others can’t access them, and always tests them on his arm before using them on his face.

-Joker has very little self-worth. It goes beyond basic insecurity, though he has plenty of that as well. His entire reason for living is based on the value he has to other people. At first, that’s restricted to just the way he can bring a bit of joy to the Hullabaloo crowds, and the few shallow friendships he’d made along the way. When Margaretha entered the picture, though, it began to twist into something even more unhealthy.

-He still has some remaining love for Margaretha, but he’s more withdrawn from her. He was disfigured, he did something horrible, and she left. But if it really came down to it, and he had no one else to talk him out of it, he probably would continue going to her whenever she calls, albeit with more inner turmoil. It goes back to that self-worth again; Margaretha makes him feel like he can be a valued protector regardless of not being very physically capable.

-At his core, Joker is a very kind and sympathetic person. He cares about others, their wellbeing and happiness, and even in a world without the above self-worth struggles he would go out of his way to help people…

-But he’s become a bit jaded since the massacre. A bit angry, even. No one did anything when he was the sole victim. No one stood up for him like he stood up for others. No one cared about his disfigured face because now it matches his disfigured body, right? …but he makes himself swallow those feelings when they start to bubble over. He doesn’t want to be that person. He doesn’t want to add more cruelness to the world.

-He’s on the quiet side. I wouldn’t go so far as to call him mute, but he chooses his words very carefully. If ever he’s unsure of what to say he would rather say nothing than ramble aimlessly. When he does speak, it’s with long pauses and shifting, thinking eyes. Conversations with him tend to move at a crawl.

-He likes gentle people. Eccentric people are fun too, but he prefers gentleness if he must choose one over the other. He got along with Mike before the massacre, but events like that have a way of either cementing or shattering bonds and theirs took the latter hit. I think he’d get along well with several people in the manor, including Luca, Emma, Victor, Eli, and Helena. He’s not exceptionally close with any of them, but few people dislike his presence.

-He’s very good at telling all manner of jokes, but he rarely does anymore. That’s a development from before even the massacre; he was required to employ depreciating humor on stage, both of himself and others, and over the years it caused him to grow heavy with guilt. Now, he may shoot off a pun occasionally, but even that is rare. He really doesn’t like to be the one joking around anymore.

-He does still like doing tricks, though! They’re not his specialty, but he didn’t go all that time in the circus without picking up a thing or two. He’s more than happy to show off these skills if they entertain his friends.

-He’s really good at finding things? It’s basically a supernatural power. If you ever lose something in the manor, he’s a good bet to check in with before you tear your room apart. Honestly sometimes he just shows up to return things before someone even knows they’ve lost it.

-Joker is completely touch starved. At first glance it may seem the opposite, as he tends to move away from incoming contact, but this is only because he often doesn’t know what to expect. As far as kind touches go, he’s given more than he’s received, and always with a nervous, shaking hand. When he has some kind of relationship where contact is both safe and common, he’s attached to your hip.

-On that note, Physical Touch is the best love language for Joker. He also appreciates the other four, but touch is his favorite. He’s a very clingy partner who always wants to sit shoulder-to-shoulder or hold hands. If his partner is less than enthused about PDA, he’s okay with more subtle touches as well, such as hooking your ankles together under the dinner table. Rebuffing his desire for contact too many times can and will result in some seriously hurt feelings. A relationship between him and someone averse to touch probably wouldn’t work in the long run.

Day 4: For the love of Note-taking

I am a person that loves to learn and take notes, but I tend to run into the problem of over-consuming. I’m a big idea type of person so I have many things I want to try but if I don't have a system most ideas are stuck in my head taking up space that can be used for creating.

I need a system that can be used in all parts of life that will help me capture my ideas and build on them. I reintroduced myself to the concept of a second brain. A second brain is essentially a methodology for saving and systematically reminding yourself of ideas, insights, and connections you’ve made through your experiences. It's used to free up your brain space and ensure you are creating valuable things from the information you consume.

It's a pretty simple concept that is achieved through a 4-step process:

CODE

Capture the ideas and insights worth saving

Organize for accountability

Distill down to the essence

Express your unique ideas and experiences

Keep your notes in a centralized place so you will always know where things are

Make conscious decisions about what you consume

Only keep what resonates, that way everything has a purpose.

Decided that I will use OneNote as my one-stop shop. I also started using a read-later app as a way to save articles for later and it has a tagging feature which is amazing!

Organize for accountability

When it comes to note-taking, the simpler and more flexible the organization method the better.

Pro-tip: Avoid making a perfect hierarchy of folders from the get-go

PARA Method: Everything in your life can fit into one of the below categories

Area: Long-term responsibilities

Projects: Short-term responsibilities

Resources: Topics or interests that will be useful in the future

Archives: Information that is inactive

I adopted the PARA method for my work OneNote, I have the tabs sectioned out for the different categories and I also have a section that I named inbox. The idea here is that everything has a place but try not to overthink it. The more flexibility you give yourself the better.

Pro-tip: Start with a clean slate. Move all existing files into an archive folder with today's date.

This is the main issue I had with the methodology, when I first tried to implement the PARA method I thought I had to use it on existing information. Needless to say, it was overwhelming and I ended up giving up. This time starting fresh took the weight of what to do will all the old information and allows my system to grow with me and helps reshape my method of thinking. It also helps that I didn't delete anything. If I need an old piece of information, its always there.

Distill down to the essence

Create actionable, bite-size summaries and focus on the main points

Summarize progressively, save an excerpt, create a summary, and create a summary of the summary.

I know it sounds a bit redundant BUT this allows you to see the note in different ways and you always want to leave a note better than you found it.

Add value to each note every time you touch it

Highlighting the most important parts

Add a link to reference later

Defining key terms in case you forget

Inserting placeholders when you leave off so you know where to pick up

You always want to enhance your notes and design them for your future self.

Express your unique ideas

For me, note-taking is also an art form. It's how I express my interests and thoughts. I love that anything you want to learn is at your fingertips and I love sharing what I find in hopes that it helps someone else.

I also find informational blogging therapeutic. If I have a problem, goal, or task I usually make a post about it which helps me to not only think through my thoughts but also as a way to showcase what I learned. I feel like I found my voice and note-taking helps me not only learn and stay organized but also keeps me sane most days.

I'm excited to perfect my craft and the best part is that there is no finished product, you’re always improving!

Rules and brief about!

Welcome! This is a rp blog for ygo characters. Probably going to just stick with mostly Yami Bakura right now. But I might add others later.

Here are some general things you should know:

- I am very new to rp still. And still not super familiar with Tumblr. Still a lot of things I don't know or have never done before, so please keep this in mind

- It almost feels like my first time ever encountering ygo.

I've just picked up the manga for the 1st time about three days ago too.

- I am an adult and would prefer characters and muns to be 18+. No nsfw stuff with minors

- I really do try to read and remember everyone's rules, but sometimes I forget my own rules, so please forgive me if I forget something

- On that note, I am pretty forgetful, in general. I try to jot down notes to help with this, but there is a chance I may forget an ic interaction

- Try to give me about a week before giving me a reminder, though.

- I am VEEERY slow a lot of the time. Like, many days, maybe a week, slow. Sometimes more than a week. Not always, but just giving you a heads up.

- I try not to spam notifs or dash, but, it might happen, occasionally. I will always reblog from the source, unless the mun has made it explicitly clear that they actually prefer it be from them or don't care either way or, for some reason, I can't get to the source.

- I am kind of the exact opposite of most people, it seems. I actually would LOVE it if you went on a like spree. And I actually prefer it if you reblogged memes from me (as long as we have spoken at least once). And dash spam almost never bothers me. You can also come into my ims, that doesn't really bother me either.

- I'm not the best at # tagging stuff. I haven't really got a system going yet

- I follow #omi-nor and #ominor, but I don't look at tags very often

- Please don't be afraid to @ me for dash games, lmao. I usually love those. May not always do them, but yeah.

- I am a very heavy cell phone user, but, so far, I don't think I've run into trouble because of this. Trimming is the only big thing I have doubts about still right now.

- Rules could change. I tried my best to give some solid info here, but it could change. I'll probably make a post if there is a change?

(I really hope I'm not forgetting something because I am writing this from memory.)

- I am pretty anxious about stuff. I'm trying not to be, but it's hard.

Like, sometimes I look at a meme and there's a part of me that wants to do it, but there's also a little pang of anxiety a lot of the time. Lol, I dunno, man..

- I may not answer every ask or do everything thing. And I'm trying to get better at sometimes saying no to things. But I don't want people to get discouraged about interacting, either, lol.

I also try not to pressure other people and a lot of stuff coming from me doesn't have a whole lot of expectation attached to it. (Like, if I @ you in a dash game, for example)

- One important thing about communication: I always feel like I'm in a tug of war of trying not to talk too much to people because I'm worried I'm bothering them just a bit and then realizing I may not be talking enough, so I'm basically a stranger to them.

- "Plot something out" kinda scares me a bit, cause all the rp I've ever done - I think - was just off the cuff. Maybe it's not as scary as it sounds and maybe I've technically already plotted without knowing it. But yeah.

- I might need to take 2 or 3 weeks off from time to time. Just giving you a heads up. I'll try to say something.

- Going by Rainy for mun name. It just kinda stuck, lol.

- It's very easy for me to feel a bit overwhelmed. A part of me hates to do this, but I may need to temporarily shut down my ask box and not accept @s or #s for a bit if I feel like I have too much to do. I may need to make a very short ooc post just to let people know?

- I'm going to say, yes, all my memes have no expiration date, though.

- On a similar note, I think it's very possible I will go through your posts and send in stuff from a very long while back, in some cases. I usually assume there is no expiration date for other people's memes, but I usually try to ask first. But if there is, please feel free to ignore.

- I may or may not use icons

- If I see a reply to a thread and I am super tired, I won't read it until I've slept long enough for me to feel better (which could be a long time). I feel like being tired while reading really distorts things, so I like to only read it after I've gotten some sleep.

Honestly, the same is usually true for even ooc conversation. I just don't do well when I'm sleep deprived and sometimes I will just pass out for, like, 12 hours. (I LOVE it when this happens, though. I feel great afterwards.)

***ABOUT YAMI BAKURA***

My Yami Bakura is, right now, based off of anime English dub canon, for the most part. But now that I have the manga, it might slowly start to change a bit. Not sure.

I kinda wanted to try Ryo, but I haven't found Ryo in the English dub to be very inspiring, so far. A lot of his screen time was him just kinda flatly explaining the duels. Poor Ryo. You see glimpses of an actual character, at times, but it's rough, man.

I was debating keeping Ryo or not, but just to avoid confusion, I'm gonna wait to see what the manga has to offer.

Can I lastly just say? I really like the ygo rpc so far.

Custom Pages on Tumblr Blogs

I wanted to keep this blog fairly streamlined for my own production... but I also wanted to highlight some of my favorite creators so others can find their webcomics too!

To do this, I added a couple new sections on my Tumblr blog in order to separate the two and create a more organized experience. (And also a couple links to my website and Carrd bio!)

Here’s how I did it!

Step 1. Go to your blog and select ‘Edit Appearance’

If you’re on your browser, this should be the artist palette in the top right corner.

From there, a side bar should pop up to Edit your blog theme. Scroll all the way to the bottom to the ‘+ Add Page’ section.

Step 2. Click + Add Page to open this box

This box should pop up. Under the option where it says ‘Standard Layout’, select ‘Link’

Step 3. Add a custom URL for tagged content and Name Your Page

Since I want to have separate pages for my webcomic and other webcomics, I will need to use two separate tags. In my case, I use the tag ‘#future agents’ and ‘#webcomics i love’

To link to a specific tag on your blog, use:

https://yourblogname.tumblr.com/tagged/’tagname’

In my case, the two URLs I use are:

https://futureagents.tumblr.com/tagged/future%20agents

https://futureagents.tumblr.com/tagged/webcomics%20i%20love

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a space in your tag, the URL needs to have ‘%20′ between words to represent the space!

After you have the URL, name your page however you want it to be seen on your blog.

Step 4. Reblog to your heart’s desire (and make sure you tag everything appropriately!!!)

Now, anything you tag with whatever you chose will show up on their designated pages! But make sure you use the tagging system when you reblog, otherwise it won’t show up. (you can always edit a post/reblog to add a tag if you forget!)

Please note, this won’t change your main page, everything will still show up in one space. But it’s great the give the option to someone visiting your page.

First and foremost, thank you! It is always great to see people enjoying what I'm doing. I love to scroll through my notifications and see people interacting with and adding fun tags to my posts, it brings me joy.

Now to the question of tagging creatives. The long story short... probably not :( but not because I wouldn't want to. The main problem is Tumblr's not-so-hot tagging system... There are so many problems with the tagging system on this site. The tag system is just... so broken. Up until recently, I couldn't use -'s in tags, or else the tag would become unsearchable. This is the reason why when I tag like say Spider-Man, I have to do it as Spider Man instead, and why I use ~ in separating real names with hero names like Peter Parker ~ Spider Man.

For me, the biggest hurdle is that the retention isn't too hot for frequently used tags. If I have a character not show up for a few months in any of my posts, Tumblr will just wholly forget the tag from the frequent tag system. Because of this, I have to keep a separate massive google doc document list of every single tag I have ever used, so that I can be sure when I have to use it again, I know that I am using the correct tag so everything winds up in the right place... and as a peek behind the curtain... that doc is currently 47 pages long. Adding all the creative team members would just be... just more and more on top of an already over-taxed system...

Another problem is that Tumblr has a max tag amount, where when you add too many tags, some tags basically become pointless for the post. I constantly already go over this limit with posts that have any kind of team present on it (like a random Avengers post is bound to have all my marker Tags, like the Brand, the book title, and then 5 - 8 members, and oh! is it also part of an arc! better add the arc tag as well.)

That said, I do try to often mention writers and artists when I get the chance (though I'll be fair, I tend to post more about artists, I can't help it, I come from a visual arts background.) If, though, you ever have questions about the creative team, I'm more than willing to answer any questions.

first off, hi im running on like 6 hours of sleep and two slices of toast so please take everything I'm going to say with like five mouthfuls of salt.

What If Link Just Dies

We know that the logo is an ouroboros, and the broken master sword is included in the logo as well. Nintendo has also said that this sequel will be really dark, comparing it to Majora's mask. Well, what if Zelda and Link journey to face Ganondorf's corpse, wake up Revenge Corpse Ganon, and can't beat the source of the malice plaguing Hyrule? What if the new hair-down Link that we see is a new incarnation or some sort of incarnation saved from the dead? Since the logo is an ouroboros, it's safe to assume that this new game will have something to do with cycles. And what's a more classic cycle in the Zelda franchise than the cycles of chosen heroes? on top of that, getting our hero out of commission for a bit would be a great way for the newest of demise's battle buddies for our hero to have an even bigger, cooler party at Hyrule with his super dope new Evil Tendril Powers.

anyway im going to go eat, come back, and decide if this is sane or not so enjoy.

To the probably five people who have the same brain i do:

You do not need to figure it all out. Life is hard and complicated and there is no one solution. You are literally not out of school yet. You cannot live on your own yet legally. You cannot drive a car on your own or drink. It is ok if you struggle with making friends and don’t know what you want to do with the rest of your life. It’s ok if you can’t figure out and pin down every single feeling you have. It’s ok of you need help healing from things, or arent in a place where you can heal from them completely right now. Healing takes time, it is painful. It is good, but you need a support system and if you do not have that it is ok. All you need to do is your best, whatever that looks like each day. Add the simple little tasks to your checklists. Buying that fancy cookie is ok as long as you have the money. Just keep living and caring for other people, that’s the most you can do right now. And honestly, that’s the best thing you can do.

Clancy is a vessel theory

With the update of dmaorg.info and the release of the outside mv, I’ve seen a new theory going around that Clancy is not a person, but rather the name of a vessel that the bishops are using to spread vialism. This makes a lot of sense to me actually, and as far as my casual lore knowledge goes it clears up some stuff! Iirc, in an interview, Tyler stated that Clancy is his way of giving fans a look into the world of Trench and DEMA. We’ve never known much about (the old) Clancy, besides that he resided in DEMA with Keons as his bishop. If Clancy is simply the name of a vessel that the bishops exploit, it would first off, help tie the incorporation of Vessel music, lyrics, references, etc into the music video and Vøldsoy. It would also explain why on dmaorg.info Clancy details his first-hand account of events that we have seen Tyler doing/performing (the Livestream show, the outside, and Saturday mvs) while previously we had received secondhand accounts of Clancy watching Tyler from a cave, possibly the one seen in the video, during the jumpsuit mv. When I read the letters detailing the show and the events of the mvs I was confused as to how Clancy would have recorded these things if Tyler was the one doing them, and why Tyler chose to show himself in the events detailed by Clancy's letters when as far as I was aware the two were separate people. But if Clancy is not one person and is instead a vessel, Tyler becoming Clancy makes his appearing in both the Livestream and the MV(s) much more logical and sensical. And while Tyler’s role in the MV(s) and Livestream is the most concrete evidence I have, there are also a couple little things I want to bring up. One thing that Tyler started doing during the SAI era is covering/obscuring his face. This seems like an odd detail to bring up, but we've seen one other person who covered their face in lore, the unidentified child from one of the images on dmainfo.org.

[ID= a grayscale image of a child, presumably a young boy. the child has a hand over their face. /end ID] This image's filename is "se__elf" which I assume means that it is a picture of the old Clancy as a child. Tyler only began covering his face in scaled and icy era appearances, and if 'clancy is dead' and Tyler is now the new Clancy, the new vessel that the bishops have chosen to exploit, this would explain the covering of his face. The recent updates to dmaorg.info detail how Clancy was forced to create the Good Day DEMA show, his constant surveillance by the bishops, and how in his words "...they wouldn't let me write anything down. Well, at least not without them present" Surely, if Clancy is now Tyler we would have some evidence or hint at their watching of Tyler, their constant surveillance hinted somehow. And sure enough, there is. This evidence is none other than Trash the dragon. Trash is the dragon that appeared on the cover of SAI and is featured on nearly every single promotional image or merch since then. Tyler has stated in an interview that "trash dragon" is slang for vultures in DEMA. Vultures, symbolically, are practically joined at the hip to the bishops and vialism. During his Christmas Livestream, a tiny trash could be seen on his desk, as if watching what he did during the stream. This very well could be Tyler trying to show the ever-watching eyes of the bishops, their constant surveillance of Tyler. Is this true? I have absolutely zero clue. But if it is it's a fascinating turn in the events of the story and one that I really hope we get to delve into more soon!

i totally understand being scared it will flop! my advice to help with that:

be sure to tag it correctly and with lots of tags! you'll see in mine i normally do a lot of different variations like this: (just as an example we'll use diluc) #genshin impact #diluc #diluc ragnvindr #diluc ragnvindr fluff #diluc ragnvindr x reader #diluc x reader #diluc fluff #genshin x reader #genshin impact x reader #genshin impact fluff #genshin fluff. i know the tagging system sucks here but i still think it's helpful to use a lot of them. as a reader myself i know i’ll use lots of different tag searches to find what i want to read

don't be afraid to reblog your own works and continue to reblog them as much as you want! i still rb fics from when i first started this account, i have a lot of them queued so at least one is posted a day that way people that might have followed you later on and didn't go through you masterlist can see them on their feed and rbing gets them out there even more so

keep your masterlist up to date so when others do go through it all your fics are already there to see! for me personally, if i don't add it to masterlist the same time i post it i will forget so i add it as soon as it's up

lastly and honestly my most important advice of all, write for yourself and try not to get discouraged if it doesn't get a lot of notes. some of my favorite fics of mine haven't gotten as much attention as some of the ones i just feel okay about and that's totally fine! i try to remind myself that this is my blog, my writing and i should write what i love and it's okay if others didn't love it the same way i did. i do get discourged by it and trying not to feel upset about it is something i have to remind myself about A LOT but in the end if you aren't writing what you love, regardless of how others feel about it, then the joy of writing can be lost and that is so much worse than low notes to me

USA, but I'm currently living in another country (non-english) for school. We use PST (Pacific Standard Time) for our countdowns.

Do you speak korean?

No.

Do you use the help of ADMs? Are you currently looking for ADMs? Where can I apply for be an ADM?

We do use the help of adms. Any openings will be announced in our twitter and tumblr page, as well as the forms for application.

Why did you start the account?

As a way to keep track of my own countdown, and decided to leave it open to anyone who may want to tag along.

What does ROKA means?

Republic of Korea Army.

Why some members serve longer in the military? Why Suho, Baekhyun and Kai had more days than the rest of the members?

Korean army hold different positions and services. Baekhyun, Suho and Kai served/are serving as social worker and that position holds 100 days more than an active duty soldier, which is the position the other exo members served so far (except Lay and Sehun).

Can they still work while in the army?

No.

When will Sehun enlist?

There's no way of knowing until him or SME announce it.

What is discharge due COVID-19 protocol? Why was Xiumin and D.O. discharged early than their official discharge date?

Discharge due COVID-19 protocol is when the soldier leaves for his last vacation and doesn't need to come back to his base to avoid any spread of the corona virus. He's free of his military duties but it's still active in the military system. Which means he's not considered a regular citizen yet and can't go back to work or leave the country until his official discharge date. Both Xiumin and D.O. ended their service under that protocol.

What is the age to enlist at ROKA?

Any age between 20 to 30 years, korean age system.

What's korean age system? I saw somewhere that the enlistment age is between 18 and 28 years.

You add 2 years to someone’s age, 1 year if they already had their birthday that year.

Example: A person's 29th birthday is December 31th. By January 1st, that person is 30 years old, and when their birthday arrives, their age doesn't change, only at January 1st from the next year.

How do you count down the days? What app do you use for the countdowns?

BigDay and Goondori (I use iOS, so I'm not really sure if they are available for other systems).

Do you have any other countdown account?
