So something that is really common in comics is these "scorched earth" style reboots that happen where a writer comes in and just dismantles everything the last author did and adds all their own stuff. That is how this feels, we pretty much have dismantled everything from the old runs, and now we are trickling in new characters and new powers and new backstories to make up the new book, except this isn't even happening in a real Iron Fist book, just a crappy backup story in the MCP books.

Skelly boi is "Skeleton Ki" (get it?) Anyway, he only has 4 appearances total and 2 of them are 16 years after this in a GotG book that I know I've read but despite that I absolutely don't remember him at all.

There have been a few Tarantulas... I'm pretty sure this is the "bad" one... anyway, Solo just boots him out of a plane.. but he has an appearance after this so I guess he gets better.

Solo is another one of those characters who is hard to take seriously... he is basically the Punisher but instead of killing mobsters he kills "terrorists" which is totally not generic enough to give him carte blanche to kill whoever he wants but unlike the Punisher who they often want us to know is kinda like... not a good guy, they really wanna be like "but Solo? He is a hero..."

This story is fucking WILD. So Master Man, who was a nazi in the WW2 order and had like 4 or so appearances out of that, got really messed up in his last story and he dies here and they are like... god I don't know, trying to make us sympathize with a Nazi? Like he was one of Hitler's right-hand men in the ww2 order... and sure he got fucked a lot cause he was dumb as a bag of rocks and he had this Frankenstein's monster-esc storyline where they make him a bride but she is disgusted by him and all but like... so what? Still a nazi? One Star.

I'm going to quote a user off of the CMRO named Skalchemist right now because I feel like they did an amazing job of summing up how I feel about most Nocenti stories:
"I feel like every story Ann Nocenti has written since Longshot has essentially been her working out a troubled Catholic upbringing. I think I have said this before, but I hope her writing was therapeutic and cathartic for her, because it certainly is agonizing for me. Someone should be getting some benefit out of it."
