Someone has probably already pointed it out, but I absolutely love the detail of how Hades is touching Persephone, but his other hand, the one next to Zagreus is just kind of there, not entirely making contact. It shows really well that even though their relationship and things between them are better they're still not perfect (and probably never will be)

straight romance that isn’t technically canon: she blushed at him and they stared at each other for several seconds
gay romance that isn’t technically canon: we would defy the laws of nature for each other. their soul is tangled in mine and there’s no force in the world that could ever untangle it. they have destroyed everything I was and I have destroyed everything they were so all that’s left is the two of us. we will fall in love over and over again until we reach the end of time. I will change the way the forces of the universe works so they can be happy.

I think Gwen calling Miles parents by their first names really show the difference between white and black culture.
Gwendy girl I love you but get your shoes off the bed. Have you lost your goddamn mind
Idk if it's just me, but in a lot of wider (white) culture the idea is that a host must cater to the guest, making sure the place is inviting and the guest is taken care of. It's the hosts responsibly look after their guests
However in a lot of POC cultures, it's the inverse. To us, Guests must cater to the host, because we understand it firstly as their space.
In our culture, we as guests are there as visitors. And it is on us to act appropriate towards the host. Rather than the host acting appropriate to us.
When we walk into a house, we talk off our shoes.
When she comes over she sits cross-legged on Miles bed with her shoes on.
When we enter someones house or space as black kids we're told to go to the adult of the house and introduce yourself, shake their hand.
When Gwen comes to the cookout, Miles parents have to approach her first and ask who she is. And then she calls them their first names!!!!!
We're even told that as guests we have to ask to get water or open the fridge - or the host can get it for us for their privacy.
Gwen comes in and rips open one of Miles' collectables and don't even think about it after.
And Miles is SHOCKED because he's probably never had a friend act like that in his house before.
As POC we see ourselves as guests given the privilege of being in the space. Whereas general culture sees guests as someone to invite in, and that the guests experience - not the hosts' space - is the primary focus
Gwen is probably acting that way because in her culture the idea is that "Oh - I'm at a friend's house. Let me get comfortable."
Whereas for a lot of us its "Oh - I'm at a friend's house and I want their parents to like me enough to let me in their house again lol"
Idk I just found that interesting

Fellow autistics hear me out,
Allistic people do small talk for the same reasons we randomly make random screeches, meows and otherwise nonsensical noises at people we like - its to acknowledge the other persons existence and presence in a positive way
The only difference is that theyre accustomed to doing it in social norms and rules where you have to speak where as we, or at least I, see no point in forcing myself to come up with arbitrary things to say when I have verbality issues and could just make a bird noise.

Topic of the Day!: Trolls (again, again) (broppy)
I feel like Branch being in not one, but TWO boy bands and presumably being the next king of pop is just such a good thing. I feel like that is such a high role for pop trolls and they have LOTS of bragging rights because of it.
The fact that even though Branch KNEW that Poppy trying to unite the trolls was wrong but stayed by her side the ENTIRE TIME is SUCH a green flag, 100% and I love him for it every day.
I also wonder if cooper has always wondered why he was different from the other trolls or if he never had the thought beforehand.
The idea of Branch being a Rock troll and Poppy still being the queen of pop is so cool! I love AU's where different trolls are another type of genre instead of their original genre. This is @geekgirles's Rock!Branch AU! They are absolutely genius!! Love it so much!!
I would love to see one but vice-versa where Poppy is a Rock troll and Branch is the king of pop!! I personally LOVE Poppy as a rock troll and would like to see more. I think she would be more sassy than she was before. (If you guys are interested in this, I'll make a post about it, or I'll probably do it anyways because I like this idea)

What is wrong with that child?
My problem with this line isn't that Ursa says it at all, or that she's concerned about Azula, but rather HOW she says it.
Notice, that Ursa doesn't even say " What is wrong with Azula, or THIS child", but " What is wrong with THAT child", instead.
I see this as an intentional hint left by the show's creators. It may be a small hint, but it's a hint nonetheless.
"The word 'this' is used to point to a singular person or object that is close to you. On the other hand, 'that' is used to point to a singular person or an object which is farther away from you."
It seems to me that calling your child "that child" is an expression of distance. It's almost as if Azula called her mother "that woman".
We have no evidence that Ursa didn't love Azula at all, but we also cannot say that Azula and Ursa had the same close relationship that Ursa had with Zuko.

One of the most famous experiments in quantum physics is the double slit experiment. It demonstrates, with unparalleled strangeness, that little particles of matter at the subatomic level only exist as a wave until they are observed.
This suggests that the very act of observing a particle has a dramatic effect on its behavior and could imply that consciousness has a symbiotic relation to the formulation of our physical reality of atomic particles.
This scientific mystery causes some people to believe humans have a dualistic relationship with reality creation - as if we have a psychic entanglement with subatomic particles and we are all creating physical reality with our collective consciousness, or that it proves a God exists and is somehow playing a curious game of peek-a-boo with all of us.

Why does it seem like every Azutara fic is "look how caring and understanding Katara is of Azula," not "two people who don't like each other are forced together against their will and end up becoming murder buddies?" Like I understand why people like the first dynamic and it's fine, but I would think the second dynamic would be at least as much or more interesting and compelling, yet I feel like I never run into it.

Murderers be like
"I'm going to murder my wife/employer/father next week. The logical next step is to invite Hercule Poirot to come and stay so he can witness the crime and I can pretend I want him to solve it, meanwhile not providing him with any scapegoat so that he will keep trying to solve it until I am the only suspect left to consider."
