Anyway, this is what I remember thinking:

If Jikook is together, they were told to lay low because they don't want it to be known that Jk is gay. That would ruin his chance to become a superstar.

It wasn't for military enlistment purposes.

Jikook continues to be spotted in Korea but is not seen by international fans.

Jimin is queer but also Jk. Is it possible that the company retaliated because Jimin's album was queer coded and he has been queer coding his stuff since a while back?

I feel like the stuff that's been happening lately has been confirming my theory:

•Portrayal of Jk as a straight male in Seven mv.

Not much happening in that mv. Boring, tbh. No chemistry although I do think that Jk and Sohee are friends now but the romantic chemistry isn't there.

There is that also that disconnect where the more explicit lyrics dont match the mv.

"It's the way that we can ride" and it shows a spaghetti plate? I could have shown...other things.

The song has a funeral scene with Jk being funny in a coffin. Be for real.

With lyrics like that you could have a really sensual and sexual fun mv. Pillowtalk meets Butter. But we got a comedic mv instead.

So maybe Jk is has no problem singing sex songs and pronouns but he draws the line at physical contact?

And for the love of the gods, I can't possibly see a connection between this mv/song and Jimin. That's insulting to me.

A song about a straight guy singing to a girl is for Jimin? Not for me. Never. Don't insult jikook or Jimin like that. Not everything has to be connected.

•Jk's Weverse Interview

He states:

I saw sooo many jikookers saying that the company was imposing this image on Jk and poor Jk blah blah and a few days before his weverse interview, I told a friend "Maybe this is how he wants to be seen. As a het male."

And there is nothing wrong with that! He can be seen as straight cool sexy Jk. Let him be and stop making excuses for normal things.

But the main point to take from this is that he is on his way to being a superstar. Being boyffie to Jimin does not help so they had to hide that. Lay low.

Knowing what we know about Jimin and how private he is, I imagine he was totally on board with laying low for the eyes of international fans. He is also selfless to a fault and he would like to see Jk achieve his dreams. This I strongly believe.

And also, a real couple doesn't need an audience. They are not a spectacle. So laying low is a win win.

•Jk's weverse live on 21/7

Basically telling the fans that he will do as he pleases so get ready because he has grown.

He wants to be the superstar Jk and for people to recognize it. Being baby star candy will not get him the recognition.

I feel like Jk knows quite well of his popularity outside of Korea. Even if the stuff he releases is not liked in Korea, international fans will support it.

International fans need the provocative. They won't judge and scrutinize the way Korean fans do. In fact, he will be embraced and loved the more sex he sells.

He will up the fan service. Y/n rejoice!

And it's obvious that the main focus of his promo was not Korea.

The target is a western market where not being queer is more profitable. Where soft masculinity is laughed at.

He's letting the softies know. Take it as a warning, softies lol

People think that his tattoo doesn't fit with his words now but Jk has always been like this. He just wasn't vocal about it.

While his tattoo says that he rather be dead than cool, I feel Jk hasn't quite found himself yet and tries the things that he thinks will make him look cool while still remaining unbothered about being cool. But we know that's not true.

So for me, all of this also confirms that Jk knows exactly what he is doing. He knows how this looks and how this is playing out.

He knows about the business, even if he stated in his weverse interview that he leaves that to the pros. A guy thats been in this 10 years and he doesn't look into how his promo will play out? Not believable.

That sounded like damage control by the company to meeeeeee....

In terms of jikook: They seem to be fine. Jimin went to NY to support Jk but not Seven. He "forgot" his password. He was also letting the softies know that he won't post.

I cannot for the love of the gods come up with a theory on why Jk is ok with getting all this nice promo while Jimin got nothing.

The whole "he is doing it for both of them" doesn't really make sense to me. Maybe I'll get the answer to this in a dream or while answering a random post.

So obviously, the whole "they are laying low for military enlistment" never made sense to me. Who even came up with that?

And why are we repeating theories with absolutely nothing to back them up like the common taekooker?

Anyways, hope I made sense!

The only reason a lot of ppl are shocked about jks antics is bc a lot of y’all used to be jikookers and where wearing rose colored classes when it came to him bc he has always been very selfish, he even admitted it himself. I even remember festa last yr him saying that they should have started solo era long time ago, so ppl where just ignoring the red flags bc they liked jms relationship/friendship/dynamic with jk. Now that jm isn’t there, ppl are seeing him more clearly, he along with yg and namjoon are the chart obsessed ones, the difference is that unlike namgi, jk actually got the push to fulfill his wishes and dreams of being the one and only kpop singer on top. Personally never liked him and felt like he was luckily bc he has a himbo image so despite being calculating and shady it wasn’t obvious unless u looked deeply into it. So I’m happy now bc finally I can stop seeing ppl gushing about him on my tl and acting like he’s a good person who supports jimin.

You know what I just reblogged a post about someone talking about jungkook's true nature and to me it makes so much sense.

When someone has been exposed to fame from such a young age oftentimes such people come out as arrogant and self centred because they've been put on a pedestal since such a young age that they start to think that they're entitled to everything.

Jungkook was put on a pedestal by the company since day one. He was always...... Always the favourite. Whereas jimin was threatened to be kicked out so many times and they refused to even give him vocal lessons.

Anyways I always wondered how come jk is not arrogant and entitled how he is so humble after being exposed to fame from a young age.

But now...... Now I think his true nature is showing.

He's not hidden behind the group anymore. Namjoon is not talking on behalf of the group anymore. People say jungkook talks nicely with other people well duh he won't start fighting with random staff people out of nowhere.

It's not surface level things like that. It's about his behavior. His inner thoughts.

Jungkook has always been selfish. He said it himself. He's always been greedy but he masked it by the bts' good image as a group. He's always been entitled and a spoiled brat.

He has always been like that. We're just noticing it now.

I thought that he has changed just now but there's no way someone can change so much in a matter of days.

I wonder if even members know the extent of jungkook's real behavior. Cause come on don't come at me with the bullshit that we don't know him. He has been alone for the first time aside from the group. He's talking his own real thoughts now..... Not the groups. And it's making it pretty clear what kind of person he is. Even his lives are slowly showing his true colors.

He gives the vibes of such a spoiled brat.

Jimin has changed too. He has changed from his debut days. But he has changed in a good way. Like he came out to be an amazing person. See jimin's caring, empathetic qualities were always there since his debut because that's how he is as a person. But the way he carried himself, jimin used to lean so much towards toxic masculinity so much so that at times sometimes it's cringe to watch those debut moments. Even jimin himself cringes at that.

But then jimin slowly found himself. The real him. He learned to embrace his real self and learned to embrace his both masculine and feminine sides. Toxic masculinity out of the window.

You guys must remember there was a moment, it was bon voyage, I think they were in a train or something where vminkook were taking selfies and jimin asked them to show him the selfie and tae and jk said men don't recheck their selfies🙄And then jimin said "what the heck is men?" Like damn baby yes call them out. See.....This is called maturing and growing up.

Opening your shirt buttons, saying curse words or talking about sex doesn't make you mature like a certain immature member thinks.

So yeah jimin has also changed since debut days but that was the part of growing up and he grew up in the most beautiful way.

While jungkook on the other hand kept his real thoughts hidden. He always covered it behind the group. And now that he is on his own all his arrogance, entitlement, brattiness everything is coming out. We're seeing this for the first time.

Nurse!Reader x Carlos Oliveira & Nikolai Zinoviev Headcanons

A/N: (Everyone’s a touch OOC as I doubt either one would willingly drag a civilian along, albeit for different reasons: Carlos because once you’ve been escorted to safety, you’re no longer his immediate concern; Nikolai because he was never all that interested in saving civilians, to begin with, but let’s say you’re just so darn cute/special that you alter canon circumstances, okay? Okay. Also, all of them survive RE3 in this, so yeah.)

When shit starts hitting the fan, you don't panic immediately. After all, you work in a hospital, what better place to be during a pandemic, right?

Wrong! Oh so wrong.

You see the effects of the T-virus up close and personal, and it’s not pretty. Prior to this point, you thought such viruses only existed in science fiction or cheesy B-grade horror movies. But here it was in your workplace, quickly overcoming all quarantined forces, hospital staff, and security.

So you flee. You leave through a back exit and get the hell out of dodge, or at least, the center of dodge. You soon find, however, that it’s not just the hospital that’s overrun, but the city as well.

Maybe that’s how you meet them…

Carlos:

He swoops in and saves you from a hoard of zombies, looking like an A-list action star as he does it. (It’s the hair- it’s incredible.)

He tells you his platoon is rounding up survivors in the subway, that it’s a temporary shelter until they can get the trains up and running again. That he and his teammates were sent in to get everyone safely out of the city. You’re not sure if you believe this plan, but you follow him eagerly as he leads you to the subway.

On the way, you tell him who you are. When he finds out you’re medical personnel, he’s both impressed and relieved. He tells you his captain has been injured, and they haven’t come across a doctor or nurse that hasn't already been infected. You of course offer to help in any way your can. (Because you’re awesome like that.)

You’re not surprised when he tells you he’s working with Umbrella because you also work with Umbrella as a hospital employee. But to you, they’re a pharmaceutical company, why would they need military personnel? It doesn't sit right with you, but Carlos is an absolute sweetheart. (I mean the man is cracking jokes in the middle of the apocalypse.) So you trust the guy.

Carlos does his best to assure you you’re not a burden or some sort of unwanted weight when you first arrive at the subway car. Mainly, because he can tell by the way you keep offering to help get the trains running, even though you’d be no match for the horde, but also because of Nikolai’s snide comments about Carlos bringing in “yet another one” when the cars still weren’t working. “Hey, don’t worry about it,” he says. “It’s our job to protect you.”

Carlos takes you to his Captain- Captain Mikhail Victor in charge of Umbrella's Delta Platoon. You try and treat the Captain’s injury the best you can, using what little supplies from the first-aid kit that’s available. You apply a generous amount of first aid spray and wrap a makeshift bandage around the cut. You would have attempted sutures if the kit had any but unfortunately for the Captain, it didn’t. The wound isn’t deep but it’s in a compromising place. You know this man won’t make it out of here on foot.

Overall, you feel you’ve done an inadequate job because you know the Captain is still incredibly vulnerable, but both Carlos and Mikhail assure you, you’ve been more than helpful.

But you want to help more! When Carlos admits he and Tyrell won’t be catching the train and will instead stay behind to look for Bard, you offer to come with them, to help them navigate the hospital.

Of course, everyone thinks it’s a horrible idea. One: because Bard is supposedly at the police station, not the hospital, and Two: because you have no weapons training whatsoever. You’re a walking liability. Nikolai teases Carlos about “taking on the burdens of strays”. You flip him off behind his back.

After a ton of back and forth, you insist you go with Carlos and Tyrell, refusing to get on the train. At one point you take a seat on the ground of the platform and cross your arms stubbornly. (You’re not going and they can’t make you!)

Carlos is the first to accept the situation and roll with the punches. “Alright. But I have one rule.” He says. “No dying on me.”

You stand, smile, and shake his hand. “Deal.”

The three of you make it to the police station, where you hang back with Tyrell in the main lobby as Carlos looks around for Bard. Once it’s revealed that Bard is still at the hospital, you offer to escort Carlos there. After giving him your best “I told you so” smirk that is.

On the way you find Jill, clearly having been infected by something, even though you’re not certain what. But none of that matters as you and Carlos bring her to the practically abandoned hospital.

Once Jill is settled, you give Carlos some directions and a rudimentary drawing of where to locate the asshole Bard’s office. “You’ll need a voice key,” you tell him. “You’d have to look around these rooms for one of his cassettes.”

He thanks you before asking you to look after Jill for the time being. You promise to radio him if her condition worsens.

When Carlos comes back with the vaccine, you could practically kiss the man. You don’t, of course, it wouldn't be appropriate. (But the thought does cross your mind very briefly.) Carlos lets you administer the vaccine to Jill, you being the trained nurse and all. With all that's happened, being able to do some actual healing feels like nothing short of a miracle.

You begin to take notes on Jill’s condition, commenting that although it doesn’t seem to be a speedy cure, her fever’s going down and her skin doesn’t look as clammy.

The miraculous feeling doesn't last long, however, as Tyrell comes bursting through the room, clearly out of breath and pretty banged-up. He turns on the TV and to your horror, you find you have only hours to make it out of Racoon City unless you want to be vaporized. (Which, no, thank you! You certainly don’t!)

After catching up, Tyrell being high-key surprised you’re still alive, (which honestly, you’re like ‘same’ lol) you decide to go with Carlos underground, to locate the stockpiled vaccine as a last-ditch effort to save the city. You hope whatever they made, that there’s tons of it.

Before going underground though, Carlos gives you a gun from one of the killed security guards. It only has a few bullets but he feels safer knowing you’re not just going to walk completely weaponless into whatever danger Umbrella has waiting for you.

Beryon chuckled, taking a swig of his beer.

The Jedi was a decent drinking buddy and a better friend, once Doc had gotten to know him.

Coarse, grumpy and prone to bouts of touchy sarcasm, Beryon V'lante was an acquired taste that Doc knew most people never acquired.

"Well, I for one think it's a glorious moustache." The Jedi assured him, and Doc waved his beer in the air as he gestured.

"Thank you! Wait-" He narrowed his eyes. "You can't even see it!"

The miraluka started to laugh, and Doc took a grumpy drink.

"I can sense it's majesty in the Force," the Jedi assured him, teasing. He wiggled his fingers in the air while he said it.

When he'd stopped laughing, he shrugged.

"Besides, I've kissed enough men to know that a moustache is the least weird thing you can come across."

Doc knew Beryon didn't adhere to the Jedi rule of 'please try and be celibate', and he couldn't help but wonder about that.

"Kisses with beards can be fun, anyway." He waved a hand. "Don't listen to Kira."

Doc had no intention of listening to Kira, not on this particular subject anyway.

Still, it might have even been the beer, but now he was curious.

"What's it like, then?" He asked, cracking open another bottle. "Kissing someone with a beard, I mean."

The Jedi looked surprised at his question.

"Well, I dunno how to describe it, really? Prickly?"

Doc frowned.

"That doesn't sound nice at all."

Beryon hummed.

"It's not bad, I just can't explain why it isn't." He admitted, amused. He ran a hand over his own stubbled jaw.

He gave Doc a wicked grin.

"Klemon tart because I want want be able to eat it whenever I want. Wait- the wedding meal from Warm Hearts, Cold Space because that sounded amazing- wait, no. ... Can I change my answer?"

After you nod in bemusement, he continues.

He looks very pleased with himself, impatiently brushing an errant curl from his eyes. The stream of consciousness you received a moment ago seems immediately forgotten.

"Chiss toasted salad, because it's Malavai's favourite." He says proudly, pleased with himself for deciding. "I have absolutely no idea how one toasts a salad, or why anyone would want to, but he likes it for some reason. I want to be able to make his favourite thing perfectly, and he would be so surprised."

He gives you a delighted, sly grin.

"He would accuse me of getting a delivery from the restaurant he likes, but it would have been me!"

He cackles as if he's planned a vicious practical joke, and not his lover's favourite meal.

Seemingly distracted from the actual point of the question, he calls up the holonet on his datapad and begins looking at recipes.

"I can't magically know, but I've got the holonet and that's basically the same thing, right?" He asks you, turning back to his searching before you can answer. He shoves the datapad in your face, barely an inch from your nose. As you reorientate yourself, you see a recipe page.

"Do you think this would be too hard?" He asks earnestly, a crease between his brows. He's quite forgotten the original question, now excited and fixed on surprising his lover.

You're not entirely sure how to answer him, especially when he takes your silence as dissent.

"Awesome," he breathes, beaming. "Hey, do you want to go and get ingredients with me?"

I wonder if a lot of 'discourse' arises simply because of people's complete inability to separate fiction from real life.

"Reading X makes you a bad person because it's bad!"

"Reading mysteries with detectives in them is copaganda and you're bad for liking them!"

"Writing fanfiction about X is just as bad as doing it in real life!"

Yes, of course there are arguments for subtle social shifts from literature, but the stark complaints presented on Tumblr tend to run along the lines that there is no difference between media and real life. Reading about X is exactly the same as committing the act, or that consuming X media means you have been brainwashed utterly and completely by it's themes.

Is this fanfiction on AO3 with 38 views really causing the collapse of society as we know it, or shall we give most people a bit more credit when it comes to digesting media

My JK snd Scourge and their uh, interesting dynamic:

Beryon wasn't a man used to laziness.

If he was awake, he should be doing things, and there was always stuff to be working on.

If there wasn't, it meant he'd missed something.

So, coming in dead tired after a successful mission and wanting to do nothing more than sleep, while not unusual, wasn't something he felt he should actually be indulging in.

T7, damn him, had just given a cheery whistle and headed off to his spot, no worse for wear.

Scourge's presence had filled their little apartment on Odessen, and Beryon felt himself relax the moment it brushed against his senses.

He dragged himself in, and felt Scourge's attention shift to him.

"Well," the other man said, amused. The deep rumble of his voice was soothing. "Look what the droid dragged in."

Beryon flipped him off.

He heard Scourge chuckle, and something being set aside.

"Come here."

Scourge's voice always gave him shivers.

Beryon was tired though, and not in the mood for anything fun.

"Scourge, I just want-"

"I just want to greet you properly." The Sith assured, and Beryon didn't believe him for a moment. Nevertheless, he gave a gusty sigh and headed over, dragging his feet.

Getting close, he braced a hand against the back of the sofa and leaned down to give his lover a kiss hello.

Strong arms wrapped around him and pulled, and he found himself being bundled up against a solid chest, bracketed in by Scourge's arms.

He struggled, spitting curses at his Sith, who just chuckled warmly.

ill be upfront and say i support jk rowling and i think a lot of her opinions on gender/sex are insightful and common sense. but it rlly is embarrassing the way people talk about her, it only makes them look obsessive and unreasonable and it clearly doesn't have a deterrent effect on her or on the mass of people who don't give a shit about this debate. the amount of virtue signalling and doomsaying i've seen has been just insane. anyway. if u want to block me now for being a radfem i will understand, cheers 🤘

My post wasn’t to say “fuck jkr! Guys let’s stop talking about her so she becomes irrelevant!” Reading it back, I guess I can see how that could be seen, but it’s less that and more commentary about liberals and their piss poor ability to actually put effort where it matters. There are literal politicians getting into power while saying bigoted things and liberals just let them. The same people screaming the loudest about a game rn can’t even call out their uncles and aunts at thanksgiving dinner when they start their MAGA rants.

I’m not a supporter of her in general, but when I see women getting attacked for shit you will never see a man vilified to this level for, I’m going to have a problem with that because, yes, I am a feminist. Jkr hasn’t personally killed or attacked anyone, she had never once tweeted actual threats of violence, nor encouraged her followers to attack trans people, nor has she donated to any organizations whose sole mission is conversion “therapy” or to keep trans people from obtaining and exercising their basic human rights. Trump literally incited an insurrection and, for now, he’s being allowed to run for president again! Jkr hasn’t done anything to that level of inciting violence, and yet she’s public enemy number one? Over trump? Over derp? Over mtg? Over Lauren bobble head? Over McCarthy? Over any Tory leader? Over the proud boys and actual white neo nazis? Over cops who have actually killed more citizens since the 2020 blm protests than less? Over, and I mean this literally, any man???????

I’m sick of the moral grandstanding and virtue signaling, especially in order to defend bad behavior. That’s what I was trying to say with that post lol. That if this really was about wanting to combat bigotry, you’d just boycott and move on. Not give it attention. But when you want to virtue signal, when you want the whole world to see what a “good person” you are and pat you on the back for it, when you value being SEEN as a “good person” over actually behaving like one, then you need to make a show of it so everyone can see how “good” you are. It’s not authentic, and I’m not buying it. As another post I reblogged articulated, it’s looking for your morals to justify your shitty behavior because “at least I believe the right things.” And beliefs don’t matter if your actions don’t reflect it.

Also, please recognize that my usage of “you” is general and not specifically you. Since I’ve seen many a people not seem to understand when I’m using general “you”s.

Random Headcanons No One Asked For:

-Both Ruby and Weiss are left handed

--Yang was 100% prepared to tease them about it when Blake very pointedly uses her left hand to write something

--Blake is ambidextrous

--which makes Yang the only right-handed one on the team

--until the fall of beacon oops

-Ren is fully color blind

--once baby Nora figured that out, she made it her mission to explain to him what colors are based on other sensations (sue me I love this trope)

--she describes pink as the quiet comfort they share in each other's presence

--Ren finally sees color for the first time when his semblance upgrades, and he can finally see the pink petals with Nora

-Blake likes to climb on things and find random nooks and crannies to read

--it turns into a game of reverse hide-and-seek when someone needs her: depending on how urgent it is the entire squad will drop everything and look for her

-team STRQ won the Vytal tournament their first year, specifically Summer was the champion

--Yang was more upset about the disqualification than she'd ever admit, because she secretly imagined Summer was out there somewhere watching the tournament, proud of her babies

-Tai pulled himself out of his depression by gardening: having a routine helped him, so he encouraged baby Ruby and Yang to get similar gentle hobbies

-Ruby raises chickens at home

--she very lovingly feeds them corn and calls them her ladies

--Yang affectionately calls them creatures and cluckers and other such rude things to get a rise out of Ruby

-Ruby deeply wants a cow

--this is her one and only retirement dream

--although honestly she can never imagine herself living past her 20s

-Yang struggled with picking a hobby, she gets bored easily and hates the expected

--its only post-Beacon that she understands the benefits of a routine

--thats why she ends up with a ton of chores, just some structure to help her through the day

-Ruby will drink any type of milk, but Strawberry milk is her favorite

-Sun is allergic to bananas but he doesn't know

--he thinks bananas are supposed to be spicy

-Weiss loves sour apple

-Pyrrha loves chocolate almonds

-Yang thinks fish are creepy, she just generally doesn't love the ocean

--she thinks Neptune is a little clown though

-Oscar gets dressed by putting on his left sock, left boot, then his right sock and right boot

--RNJR made it their mission to interrupt him during this just to see him walk around with one boot on

-Ruby likes to bake, it's one of the few solid memories she has of her mom

--one night Weiss was feeling homesick and Ruby taught her how to make mug cakes

--"its probably not that good compared to your cake butler, but it's pretty simple, and I like them!"

--Weiss secretly makes them at least once a week, even back home in Atlas

-Weiss has taken flight lessons, at one point Ironwood really pushed for her to become a pilot in the military

-Blake has a field journal of the different types of Grimm she's encountered

--team RWBY & JNPR have spent several nights sitting in a circle talking and adding to the journal

--while traveling across Anima, Ruby sketched and took notes on all the Grimm she saw, just in case she ever found Blake again

-Weiss collects rocks

--no, not crystals. actual rocks

--shes rarely spent time in the real outside, but whenever she has, she picks up little rocks and puts them in her pocket before anyone can see

-Jaune never actually stopped writing left and right on the bottom of his shoes actually

-Weiss had never been allowed to paint her nails as a kid, she'd always get weekly French manicures instead

--by the second semester at Beacon, Ruby, Weiss, Nora, and Ren would have weekly manicure nights where they'd paint each other's nails

--there were several times they'd rope the rest of the teams into it, especially during the Vytal tournament where they'd write team names on their nails

--during the singles round they'd write Yang on one hand and Pyrha on the other

--"we couldn't make it fit without cutting one of the R's!"

-Pyrrha and Weiss became each other's default plus one's for fancy events, to the point people began to speculate that the two were dating

--Jaune was somehow jealous of them both and it was very confusing to him since he had poor self awareness

-Yang cuts Ruby's hair, but after she lost her arm she lost the fine motor skills to do a good job, so Blake started to do it

-Blake is always there to help Yang with her phantom pains and residual limb pain

--she helps massage Yang's arm while leaning close and purring

--Yang cried the first time Blake did this because she's not used to being taken care of

-Nora never gets sick and is the designated nurse when a bug goes around the teams

--the electricity incident was the first time Nora has ever been bed-ridden

-Weiss took ballet as a child

-Jaune is actually pretty good at the guitar

-Pyrrha is not musically inclined at all its a miracle she managed to do the iconic JNPR shine dance

--jk but actually she's a decent dancer when she has the steps choreographed for her but she has no natural rhythm

-in the last few months before Pyrrha's death, she and Jaune would waltz on top of the roof together

--there were several almost kisses

--maybe a few successful kisses who knows

-there are occasions (obv extremely rare) when Ren actually takes the bulk of the energy from Nora

--this leads to thrilling game nights where Ren makes multiple 40pt remnant-equiv-of-scrabble plays while Nora naps

-Oscar is the only person who can beat Ren in scrabble, although it's very closely matched

-Oscar is amazing at chess and will play it against himself like a little square

-Yang and Ruby are experts at the tabletop war game they play in the library

--9 times out of 10, the winner is one of them

-Oscar is the only one who also knew about Compost King, which was very exciting for Jaune

--Compost King is a common game night activity while they were in Haven because its so hard to say no to Oscar

-Yang is a straight-A student and has always been

-Blake never had any formal education and she finds a lot of the classes incredibly dull or ineffective at teaching the material

--she's always the one convincing Yang to skip a class and lie in the sun-warmed grass with her

--she still gets Bs easily

-Oscar is a very fast reader and will devour any book he's given

--his aunt would frequently bring home books from town just to keep him entertained

-Ruby has suffered from migraines and nightmares her entire life, post-Beacon they only got worse

-Weiss shops at local dust stores whenever she can, even though she could get shipments for free

--however she does have Ron Swanson's "I know more than you" energy when she's shopping

-Blake and Ren will sometimes take naps together

--not cuddling, just occupying the same general space

--wake them up at your own risk

-if Ruby isn't engaged with something, she can start to scatter and dissolve into rose petals

--its a very slow process and someone has always snapped her out of it before she's fully vanished, but Yang is worried about what would happen if no one caught her in time

-Ren is afraid of horses

-Blake hates being cold

-Yang naturally radiates heat cause semblance duh

-Weiss glued the tiniest gravity crystals to the underside of Ruby's bed to ensure it never falls

-JNPR likes to push their beds all together so they can sleep in one big pile

-Nora can only sleep if she's holding someone's hand

Happy 1k to SBaFL! 💝 + Gift

It’s been a little over a year since I posted my first SpiderKook story, Tangled Thoughts, and now my SpideyKook universe has reached over 1k notes. Remembering the time I wrote TT brings back fond memories. I was and still am very invested in the au, so the writing for the fic came so easily. I was engulfed in the story and I just felt so happy writing it. No pressure. Just me and SpideyKook. I stayed up in the middle of the night finishing it because I couldn’t stop writing. I wish all my stories came that easily haha.

The amount of support I’ve been given is beyond my imagination. It’s only my second time hitting 1k, so I’m really honored. Even though Swinging By a Fine Line is not an actual fic, I still wanted to celebrate the milestone. I’m very grateful to everyone who has supported my mini-universe. I don’t think I’m one of those people who are good with their words, so I hope this gift to you all shows how thankful I am. ↬ Summary. Atsumu Miya is hopelessly in love with you, but how could he ever catch your attention if all you do is ignore him? Well, maybe his plan starts to work out when he finds out that whenever he stays longer for practice, you have to stay too.

Sweat dripped down the back of ATSUMU's neck as he jogged around the college tracks for the nth time that afternoon.

"Just one more lap." He kept telling himself over and over again as if repeating it would make it any less of a lie.

But who could blame him when this was the only moment of the day that he could spend with you? When he just knew that, by the end of that turn, you'd be there to receive him, water bottle and towel in hand? If anything, that just drove him more and more motivated to get to the finish line.

Those seconds in which your hands slightly brushed off against each other's; the way you laughed whenever he tripped over himself, too tired to carry on; the sarcastic sneer on your face every time you scolded him for wasting your time, but still wouldn't leave. To Atsumu, that was his reward, better than any shining trophy.

"Oi! Miya!" Your voice woke him up from his trance as the blonde boy finally shot up a glance at you. He rested with his hands on his knees, chest going up and down in strong and unsteady motions, legs still trembling a bit from the training. "We've been here for almost two hours! Everybody has left already, and I want to go home for God's sake!"

Atsumu snickered at the way your voice got higher with each word, deflecting from his gaze while you said you wanted to leave. He also didn't miss how you knitted your eyebrows together just before going off at him, carefully scanning his shaky body.

"Ya could've left, ya know? I never asked ya to stay!" He replied, smirking a little while making sure to stare right into your pupils.

If eyes are the windows to the soul, that must be the reason yours were so beautiful to him. As he tried to get an answer through them, he also delighted himself in such a vision. That's why he was quick to notice their slight tremble at his remark.

"And leave you to die?!" Your voice, once again, cut him off of his daydreams. "You've been running for more than an hour after a pretty rough practice, if you go into cardiac arrest who's gonna call an ambulance?! I'm the team manager, I don't want any deaths on my back!"

In his defense, he was only there because of you, but — obviously — he wouldn't tell you that. He decided to just laugh it off.

"Well, that's something you don't see every day!" He teased.

"What?!"

"Yer’ worried ‘bout me!" Atsumu said, trying to suppress the smile forming in the corner of his mouth.

Even though his tone was playful, he knew something was off when his words were left hanging in the air, no snarky comments added to the back-and-forth banter you were both so used to.

Seeing your widened eyes, he started to question if he was right or, worse, if he had crossed a line.

You gulped down as if this would prevent you from spilling something you shouldn't say. Atsumu was dying to know what it was.

This had become a little routine of yours. Staying for a couple more hours after practice as you helped him out for a while. At first, he knew you're just doing your job, after all, you were there to assist the boys, it didn't matter who they were. Still, he couldn't shake the thought that maybe, just maybe, something had changed as the months went by.

He remembered it perfectly. It wasn't that long before that you used to curse him for making you lose such precious time of your day. He knew you had your reasons! Staying overtime underneath the unforgiving sun, having to catch up on your studies while sitting beside the filthy running tracks, surrounded by sweaty and dirty athletes.

Even so, it wasn't pleasant for him either. Jogging for endless hours, the summer heat consuming him as if hell were just around the corner.

Usually, he would run only half of those miles. But how could he stop? How could he stop knowing that the minute he did, you'd have to go home, and he would only see you the next day? No, he needed more time to win you over. He needed those small talks in between his breaks. He needed every single one of the few glances you exchanged every time he ran past you. He needed to hear you giggling at his jokes at least once more.

What once felt like dragging insufferable after hours, began to seem like less and less time over the weeks. Those little details were what made it all worth it. They were his private entrance to heaven.

And he believed that you might've been starting to feel the same way too.

He'd caught the way your lips curled up into a shy smile the last time he'd offered to walk you home. He also had noticed how your irises shined a bit brighter whenever he bought you food, worried because he knew you'd be there with him for those extra periods. He'd seen the way you laughed at his childhood stories just a tad too hard, always asking for another one.

Atsumu had always been aware of how he comes off to people: the arrogant self-centered jock. He never really cared about any of those things, but he did care about how you perceived him. The man just hoped that soon enough, you'd learn he was more than what others wanted him to be. Not a pretentious athlete, albeit a normal guy as any other, just with an ambitious goal set to his mind. And whenever you shared one of those intimate moments, he thought that, perhaps, you were one of the few people that actually saw him for who he was.

Still, that didn't make it any easier to admit the feelings he'd developed for you.

"Oi! Are ya alright?" Atsumu said, trying to catch your attention, a delicate expression laying on his countenance. "I'm sorry if I overstepped in any way, ‘kay? It was a joke, I promise." You didn't answer him just yet.

"Hey!" He proceeded, lifting your chin up so you'd look at him. "Now I'm the one getting worried 'bout ya! Snap out of it and get back to hating on me before ya realize I might have a heart!" Atsumu mocked himself, but shied away from your glare while doing so.

At least he'd made you chuckle.

“I always knew you had one, Miya." You said, rolling your eyes at the man. “I just didn’t know it worked!”

“Oya! That was mean!”

“Isn’t that what you wanted?” You asked, arching your brows.

“Well, maybe, but it wouldn’t hurt if ya were a little nicer to me once in a while!”

“Yeah? How so?” The words slipped past your lips without missing a beat, and Atsumu couldn’t help but wonder if the flirtatious undertone was something he had only imagined. He decided to take the bait.

“For starters...” Atsumu began, slowly making his way closer to where you were standing. “Ya could buy me a beer after we’re done here.” Was he crazy or did he really see your shoulders relaxing at his words?

“Oh, is that easy?” You responded in the same toying manner.

“Hold up!” He said, raising his hands to the air. “That’s just the first step!”

“And then what?”

“And then…” Atsumu continued, moving further towards your figure. “Then ya could let me hear that beautiful laugh of yers a few more times.” He completed, stealing a giggle out of you. “Just like that.”

“Great, so I’m halfway through it.” Your tone may have been monotonous, but your eyes told him otherwise. “Anything else or can we get this over with?”

“Maybe, while yer’ laughing, ya could finally realize that I’m not as bad as ya think I am.” He pondered, moving a loose strand of hair out of your features, clearing the view to your gaze.

“Now you wanna tell me what to think?” You scoffed, crossing your arms.

“Is just a suggestion! Take it as ya wish!” He winked at you.

“And what if I told you that I already did?”

“Ya did?” This time, he sounded soft, breaking out of the teasy character for a second.

“You’re not bad, Miya... Far from that.”

“Well, that’s a shock.”

“You don’t look surprised.” You stated, pointing out the crescent grin on his face.

“Too much wishful thinking made me ready for this moment.”

“And what exactly is this moment… Atsumu?” The way you said his name, in a hushed voice, almost like a secret meant to be shared by only the both of you, gave him the green light he needed to go on.

“It’s when I finally kiss ya.”

Atsumu was quick to grab your waist, pulling you closer to his chest, and finally closing the gap between you two. His gawk rapidly traveled from your mouth to your eyes, longing for a confirmation. It didn’t take a second after your subtle nod for him to merge your lips together, your body melting at his touch.
