So I work in early childhood and when the kids I watch take a nap they each get to bring a stuffed toy as a sleeping friend. I was just thinking about Jedi younglings and how they probably have naptime too. I like to think that jedi younglings do have toys they can play with and stuffed animals they can take to nap. I just dont think the individual toys are owned by anyone, I think that if the younglings had toys they all share them. It teaches the younglings to share and also about attachment and how to let things go. I like to imagine all the younglings picking out a stuffed friend out of the shared toy pile everyday before nap. Also I love the idea of jedi masters and knights bringing back a toy from the planet where their latest mission was and adding it to the crèches toy pile.

NEW FIC ALERT
FREEDOM FIGHTER
Fandom: Star Wars - All Media Types
Tags: Force-Sensitive Finn, Time Travel, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Fix-It, That's Not How The Force Works, Jedi as Found Family, Protective Clone Troopers, Finn-centric, Hurt/Comfort, Protective Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker Doesn't Turn to the Dark Side
Summary: FN-2187 was not a Good Stormtrooper, for all that he was a skilled one.
Good Stormtroopers followed orders. They didn't question their surroundings, didn't doubt, didn't feel guilt and grief… didn't wish that the First Order never existed.
And they definitely, definitely, didn't have the Force.
AKA
FN-2187 was more important than anyone could have possibly anticipated.
The Sith, for one, absolutely hadn't seen him coming.

What happens when a Jedi Initiate dies?
It cannot always be prevented, the galaxy is a dangerous place, especially for children, and the Jedi are still only mortal.
Accidents happen. Illnesses exist.
Tragedies do too.
The Crèchemasters are highly trained to prevent that, of course, but they too are only mortal. They too can fail.
The death of an Initiate is a heavy burden, for the entire Temple. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it is a heavy burden. It is from that burden that one of the Order's most sacred traditions stems from.
They may die an Initiate, but they will not join the Force without guidance.
When an Initiate dies, they automatically gain the rank of Padawan – no matter their age. They will posthumously be taken in by a Master and be gifted a braid and a lineage. If they already found their crystal and built their saber, these too will be taken care of by their new Master.
Some Masters of such Ghost-Padawans, especially those who had a bond before their passing, will live the following years as if they had a living student. They will not take on another until the Force or they themselves deems them ready, at which point the High Council will hold a honorary Knighting.
Because while the Order might lose an Initiate, no Initiate will ever be left alone.

Re-watching Rebels and have fallen in love with Kanan Jarrus (Caleb Dume) all over again.
He may not always be right, but he's always trying. Like when he first tries to train Ezra.
He may not always be the perfect level-headed jedi, but he listens and deals with his emotions in a healthy way. Like how he initially feels about joining the rebellion and seeing clones again.
He may not be the most powerful, but he hasn't properly used the Force in a decade and then he trains to get better, not only for himself, but so that he can be the best teacher for Ezra. The Inquisitor says it outright and we can also see how much he improves through the show.
Also, his relationship with Hera is just so functional. Love him, love Kanera, love the whole Space Family.

It's kinda poetic that most of the Jedi who survive 66 are younglings or half trained Padawans. Cause for all the propaganda painting the Jedi as baby stealers who sentenced those children to death, every single one of those Jedi are children whose Masters did everything in their power to keep that baby alive - even when it meant their own death.
