You met when you were still human

Jasper immediately felt drawn to you

It was the only time that Jasper felt his power didn’t feel right to use without permission

It took him awhile to approach but nowhere near as long as it took Edward

All his siblings encouraged him to talk to you. They want him to be happy and maybe his mate could help with that.

What they weren’t expecting was you ended up also helping with his vampire side.

Which they were all grateful to no longer see Jasper struggling as much

Alice was excited when they came to town because of course she saw you in Jasper's future. (for sake of I love love Alice lets say she wother has her own mate or her and Jasper never got together romantically)

So she befriended you instantly. Which is how Jasper got to know a little about you before you both ever talked.

He helps you with school assignments

Carlise and Esme love you and think you make a great addition to the family, and your great for Jasper

Getting along with all his siblings. Even Rosealie love you and likes to steal you away with Alice to go shopping

You and Jasper first met and you were having a bad day and just so happened to be having an anxiety attack. Hiding it well but Jasper obviously could tell. It wasn’t how he planned to talk to you for the first time that day.

But Jasper used his power very lightly to help you destress

You both ended up skipping the entire period and just talked. Laughed even.

Jasper was genuinely having fun and enjoying himself

After that if you had the same class jasper sat next to you.

The two fo you got close rather quickly

When he told you about his secret you took it pretty well. You didn’t run screaming and you didn’t back away from him so he thought that it went very well.

You even asked him to stay the night afterwards

a meeting unlike any other

headcanon summary: jasper meets a snow leopard shapeshifter.

a.n. - sorry it took so long! college kicks ass unfortunately.

he was definitely intrigued. he's well aware of the wolf shifters, but has never known any sort of other shifters. not until he met you. he and his family had met you when they were leaving forks and heading to the next town, where you happened to be.

you had just come back to your home town after a couple college semesters, and realized it wasn't something for you. you were heading to your shift at the diner when jasper had seen you walk by. he had been around long enough to sort of infer other supernatural beings, so he wanted stop by and ask you a few questions.

he stopped by the diner soon after getting settled in to the new house. you immediately noticed something off about him, having a sense of knowing what the supernatural was like. his eyes were an unnatural color, one that didn't seem very much like contacts. you had an idea of what he could be, having met vampires before. but you couldn't be sure until you asked.

he was in your friend's section, and you all but begged her to take over. you had asked him what he wanted, and he only wanted a water. you were quick to bring it back, wanting to sneak in some conversation. the restaurant was slow, so you were able to take a quick moment and have a seat across from him in the secluded booth.

"you're a vampire, aren't you? but you don't look like other vampires i've met. they didn't have the color eyes you do." you start the conversation, wanting to get to the point. you took the moment to get look him over, having a closer look at his eyes, and trying to find other signs of vampirism.

he gives a small smile, nodding, giving you all the confirmation you needed. you asked him various questions, basics he was more than willing to answer. he explained a little background of his family as well, giving you some more information and context that you appreciated. you even think some of it was just to continue the conversation with you, not wanting to end it. he eventually got to ask you about yourself, and what your supernatural powers were.

you had explained to him what entailed in shifting to be a snow leopard. once you found out he knew of the werewolves, you explained how similar that was to your shifting abilities, but your shifting had you shifting to be a snow leopard. you had mannerisms that lined up more with cats, and you had the strength more similar to the large cats. you explained how you had the silence when you walked, and being able to always land on your feet from higher grounds.

eventually you were getting chastised by your friends, jokingly, to catch up with some other tables that have trickled in. you give him an apologetic smile, enjoying yourself in the 45 minutes you were getting to know him.

he leaves you his number as he's leaving, right on the edge of the table, wanting to get to know you more and what your powers looked like. you were curious about him and his family as well, tucking the number into your apron.

any changes on how you see jasper's fashion

Not really but I've been thinking about Jasper's fashion in the 1840's- early 1900's a lot.

Because I could go to the easy route and just say cowboy, like handkerchief around neck and all that. But since I'm very passionate about the victorian era here it goes.

There's not a significant difference between victorian gentlemen and victorian cowboys, at the end of the day they wore the same layers. The style was different. Cowboys having to be able to move more because of their work.

I don't think he'll have the more flamboyant version of the victorian era because he's a middle-class cowboy, I don't see Jasper being in any type of formal fancy event besides a dinner with his family friends or maybe a ball he sneaked in for the funnys with his army friends he was very young after all. But definitely he had some nice clothes and then the ones he had for attending his cowboy duties.

At the end of his life he was a Major he did had to look nice, not only his uniform but the way he presented himself.

This is what I imagine him weary 80% of the time, the other 20% it's divided with his military career and the occasional trip to a dinner his parents were taking him to.

Which I think it's consistent with his modern style, it looks comfy and covers enough (in the past for modesty in modern times because of his scars)

When he has a day off, he will cook with you (even tho he cannot eat it, it's just about the time he can spend with you) or you will lay on his lap with his hand stroking your hair and book in his other hand, reading to you.

Every Friday he will take you to a fancy restaurant and than for a slow walk around the nearest park.

On your birthday or on International Women's Day (or any other 'special' day) he will spoil you even more than on normal days. Expensive jewelry, perfumes, clothes, shoes,...

Jacob doesn't like fancy restaurants, he prefers his or your bed with some snacks and movies, cuddling of course!

Thinking about casual dominance with the Cullens

Carlisle makes sure you bring a jacket whenever you go out. You both could be halfway out the door and he’ll turn around just to go get one for you (not without a gentle scolding, of course)

Esme never lets you cook for yourself. She’s so excited to have someone to cook for. Plus, it allows her to make sure you’ve eaten well that day.

Edward keeps track of all your likes and dislikes. He can order for you at restaurants flawlessly and is not afraid to send the dish back if it’s not up to standards. It also lets him keep Alice’s party plans in check (after all, you can’t enjoy yourself if things are subpar)

Jasper has a hand on your waist at almost all times. He guides you through crowds and away from people he deems threatening. He’d also kneel and tie your shoelaces for you if they came undone. He doesn’t want you to trip!

Emmett is not about to let people disrespect you. If someone gets a little too passive aggressive in history class, he’s gonna call them out on it. Holds you close and glares at them in the cafeteria.

Alice picks your outfits. She insists she knows more about fashion than you and that you should listen to her expertise, but it’s usually just so you two can match. She’d even help you get dressed if you let her.

Rosalie helps take care of you. Makes sure you drink lots of water and brush your teeth every morning/night. She’d definitely give you a little “excuse me?” look if you say the routines aren’t that important (because taking care of you is important)

Cullen Clan Reacting To Their Crush Being Disinterested In Them

Carlisle Cullen

Being alive for just over 400 years tends to give one a good perspective on life and the bigger picture, and Carlisle sure has a pretty good idea of how all things pan out. So you're not interested in him? That's fine, Carlisle can wait for as long as you need to change your mind.

In the meantime, Carlisle will continue to maintain your friendship and continue to show just how hard he's worked to become the kind caring father figure he is. He knows you'll fall for him, eventually.

Esme Cullen

Obviously, she's not going to stop caring about you just because you don't return her feelings. But she might switch up how she shows her affection.

Rather than flirty winks and suspiciously candle-lit wine tastings, she'll back up to more traditionally motherly affections. Making sure you're eating right, baking cookies, etc. And of course, giving you homemade soup when you're sick is still one of her favourite things to do, no need to stop now.

Edward Cullen

Of course, you're not interested, how could anyone love a monster like him? Who did he think he was, thinking he was worthy of your love? Or so his inner monologue goes.

But it's really not that dramatic, it almost never is, Edward just sprung his crush on you suddenly and it caught you off guard. It was largely the excessively long preamble about how he was an irredeemable murderer that put you off first, but of course, he won't realise that until considerably later.

Rosalie Hale

She's a little relieved actually. All her mortal and immortal life, Rosalie has been aggressively pursued by people she wasn't particularly interested in, so the fact that she can crush on someone who isn't really that interested is a wonderful change of pace.

For the first time ever, Rosalie has butterflies in her stomach, she fumbles with her words when she speaks to you, and she feels like a silly, mortal teenage girl again, begging her mother to let her go to the dance just so she can sneak away to catch a glimpse of someone just like you.

Emmett Cullen

You and Emmett had been good friends for a while so when he casually drops a blissful "We should get married" into the conversation, you initially choke on your drink in laughter.

Emmett's a little heartbroken that you'd laugh at something like that, considering that he was being 100% serious. But since you've known him, the both of you have been constantly cracking up jokes, trying to get on each other's nerves, so no wonder you thought this was another one of his pranks. He decides to take this reaction as a blessing, you have no idea he's actually into you, now he knows he has to work out a different way to confess his feelings for you.

Alice Cullen

She's a little confused obviously, having multiple visions of the two of you in a romantic relationship kind of gave her the impression that it might've been going to come true, but your disinterest says something else altogether.

But the worst part is that those damn visions of you and her together keep coming back, taunting her, luring her in deeper to despair with the thoughts of what might be. It's all getting so intense, so she decides to skip town for a bit, see if that changes anything, or at least helps her clear her head.

Jasper Hale

Oh well, so you're not interested in a romantic relationship, so what? Doesn't mean you can't still be friends. Doesn't mean he can't be the charming Southern gentleman he is. Doesn't mean he can't still pull out chairs or open doors for you. Or send anonymous bouquets to your house. Or leave your favourite snacks in your locker when you're having a rough day. Of course not.

It doesn't mean he can't worry about other people who might want to date you. Doesn't mean he can't scare off people who'd be bad for you. I mean, what else are friends for?

• A southern gentleman through and through. He greets those he likes (and who he can control himself around) with a smile and a ‘Well, Hello there.’ while tipping his imaginary cowboy hat.

• He says ma’am and sir even if he is 10x older than the person he is talking too.

• Did I say he was a gentleman? Jasper likes to hold the door for those behind him, waits for the person who is tying their shoe, listen to the person who was cut off in the middle of a conversation, offers his friends to stand under the umbrella with him while it pours down rain, offer to pay sometimes.

• When first being with you, he had to keep a distance for a long while. He wasn’t sure that he could handle himself and was scared of hurting you on accident. But with the help of Edward, Bella and Alice, he was able to spend more time with you and realize he won’t hurt you.

• One of his hobbies is playing baseball and he loves to have you watch him play, but he loves it more when he gets to teach you. His cold hands over your warm ones on the bat as Alice tosses the ball in your direction. Teaching you how to throw the ball with enough force to get it to hit hard.

• His body is absolutely freezing, so please bare with him when he touches you with his cold hands. The worst thing is when your cooking with Bella and he comes over with his cold hands offering to help, placing his hand on your shoulder.

Twilight Saga Headcanons - What They Smell Like

The Cullens:

Carlisle takes great pride in his grooming, but tends to go for scentless soaps because some of his patients have allergies. Always somehow smells a little like disinfectant when he gets home after work. He somehow smells very ancient, like incense and a scent you might discover walking through an extremely old and dusty church.

Everything about Esme smells delicate. Her favorite scents as a human were floral and light, like lavender and rosewater. Definitely has an aroma of perfume that trails after her, though she doesn't wear any.

The only way to really describe Edward's scent is clean. Icy cedar, fresh snow, and oranges. It's a pure, subtle scent.

Rosalie's scent is arguably the most powerful. It isn't strong, but it's enticing. It's like warm Tennessee Whiskey and dripping honey - a scent that's designed to seduce and draw you in.

Emmett would absolutely smell like Axe body spray if Rosalie would let him wear it - she doesn't. It stings EVERYONE's noses to an insane degree. Overall, though, Emmett smells like warm velvet, like a blanket you've just pulled out of the dryer.

Even after all this time, Jasper still carries the faint scent of gunpowder. There's something about his scent that stings, like mint and eucalyptus.

Alice smells like salt and coconut, like a sweet and windy beach day. She also carries a light scent of sparking ozone, but it's so faint that sometimes they all forget that it's there.

Wolf Pack:

Sam assumes he smells so much like food because of the many hours spent in Emily's kitchen. Sam is warm honey mixed in with steaming oatmeal; fresh bread and maple syrup.

Jared used to smell like leather because of the jacket he always wore to school, but that was destroyed years ago when he phased. It's an extremely manly scent mixed with vanilla and amber.

Paul's scent is very warm and spicy, a natural and earthy woodsy musk, like the soil after a heavy rain. It can tingle your nose, but it's still very attractive.

Surprisingly, the one who smells most like the outdoors is Embry. His whole body is tied to the scent of patchouli and pine; it's a very nature-based scent.

A lot of Jacob's scent is mixed in with how much time he spends around cars, so you'll get a whiff of rush and metal and probably motor oil, but it isn't unpleasant or off-putting.

Tobacco is the leading scent for Quil, which he assumes is because of his grandfather. He also smells very much like ginger and cinnamon.

Though she's never been a big reader, Leah smells like old books and paper. It's a bit of a dusty scent, but goes well when mixed with her favorite vetiver lotion and body wash.

Seth has a very bright and welcoming smell, like cinnamon sugar or a freshly baked pie crust. It's a smell you somehow always associate with your childhood, but you can't put your finger on exactly why.
