I Did A Thing!

So my functional medicine doctor says my bloodwork shows my body is stressed out. It might be true. A little. So he said I should walk away from my computer and do fun things. Things that bring me joy. So I am.

J.R. Ward and the Black Dagger Brotherhood has made me happy for years, and she’s finally releasing the book I’ve been waiting for.

And on Saturday, April 15, I’m heading South and going to her release party again to hear her speak. 

If you’ve ever been you know how fun it is. She’s better than a comedy show, and has a better connection with her audience even in a huge audience than most performers. She started these in a bookstore, then in hotel, where I was last time, now she’s in the convention center.. OMG! 

I’m taking the whole weekend to enjoy myself. Kick the stress, enjoy myself and reread some books. If you haven’t read these, you are missing out, and I can’t wait until I get my copy of this new one.

Bullwinkle Moose meets Eustace Bagge

Bullwinkle was watching television... but then he gets a phonecall from a Mysterious figure...

"hello?" Saint Bullwinkle as he picked up the phone. "Who is this?"

"hey, Bullwinkle," said the strange voice. "I have a mission for you."

"what is it?" Asked Bullwinkle.

"I want you to whack Barney the Purple Dinosaur with the Frying pan," said the voice.

"Why?" Asked Bullwinkle. "Whatever for?"

"he was trying to bring cancer to all children," said the voice. "You must hunt him down."

"sorry," said Bullwinkle. "Not interested."

"what if I offered you 1 million bucks?" Said the voice.

Unfortunately, Bullwinkle is still not interested.

"sorry," said Bullwinkle. "But I don't have any desire for money. It's too miserable."

Bullwinkle is too dumb to desire for money.... not to mention, too dumb to fool.

"argh! You are too stupid to be interested, moose," the voice growled. "Fine! Have it your way! We'll be in touch."

Then Bullwinkle hang up the phone.

The next day, He decided to go for a walk, but little did he know, there's a frying pan stuck in his hands... When he was cooking pancakes earlier.

He saw Barney lying unconscious on the ground... everybody sees Bullwinkle as a murderer.

And Eustace Bagge was one of the Mobs who Framed Bullwinkle for killing Barney...

"Aha! I found you, Stupid Moose!" Eustace cried. "What are you doing with the Frying pan?!"

"oh no!" Said Bullwinkle. "It's Eustace Bagge! I'm so busted!"

"that's right you stupid dopey dumb lousy stinking idiot moose!" Said Eustace Bagge. "You're in big trouble for killing Barney!"

"what?!" Bullwinkle asked in confusion. "But this is a big mistake.... I didn't do anything bad."

"nobody cares!" Said Eustace. "You can tell it to the judge, Stupid Moose."

Then Bullwinkle is arrested. Behind his back, Eustace smiled evilly with the scheme.

It is revealed that Barney has been faking death to get Bullwinkle in trouble. Because Barney hates Bullwinkle.

Barney can be a nice character, but don't be fooled, he is also a mean actor too. As a mean actor, he sets a trap for nice actors to get arrested...

Yep, Barney the Dinosaur was the meanest and nastiest Actor ever.

Eustace Bagge was a Nice Actor pretending to be a mean Character.

He was Barney's Slave.

"nice job, Eustace Bagge," said Barney. "You earn 1 million dollars for getting Bullwinkle J. Moose Arrested."

Despite that, Eustace Bagge feels Sympathy deep down.... "I don't know... Mr. Dinosaur..." Said Eustace Bagge, deep down, Eustace has Standards. "Something... Doesn't feel right... I don't think that..... I deserve such much... Money.... For betraying innocent people...."

"who cares?!" Sneered Barney. "You capture people, you get them arrested, got it?"

Eustace lowers his head... as in he's a distressed Dude. Whether he is a mean character, or a nice actor.

Later.... Bullwinkle was locked up in Jail...

"I can't believe I have gotten arrested for something I didn't do.... who could do such a thing like that?"

Yes... mean actors pretends to be nice characters, and Nice actors pretended to be Mean Characters.

Yeah... that was a mean character played by nice actors, and nice character played by mean actors.

It'sss baaackkk. Yes yes I am on my paranormal romance kick once again (it's only been 8 months). This book focuses on everyone's fav new vampire, John Mathew! He's just angrier this time around (you know, males) as he tries to find his lover, Xhex, who is being held captive by a despicable piece of shit, Lash. Because this is a romance novel (for the most part), they are reunited. Xhex freed herself though because that's just the badass bitch she is. However, being a BAMF doesn't exempt her from trauma (unfortunately). As her and John compete over who gets to kill Lash first, they realize that not only are they trauma bonded, but they're also actually mates and can't live without each other (duh). I love the understanding between these two, espeically when it comes to the trauma they've endured. Neither of them is seen as lesser because of what they've been through, no matter how fucked up. They're survivors who will have to live with what happened to them for the rest of their lives, but they'll get through it together, which is sweet, in a way. There were a couple of other storylines going on as well that were interesting. We find out that John (and Bella's) dad actually knew Xhex when she was a baby and placed her with her adoptive family (Tohr too, who is basically John's surrogate dad so like... weird connection there). There's also Blay and Qhuinn and all their sexual tensions. I hope these boys woman the fuck up and talk to each other because my god are they so blind to each other's feelings (again, males). Once again, I definitely read this for the plot ;)

CONCLUSION: I will eat my hat. The movie looks really really really fucking good, it looks spectacular and I am so excited for it. I trust them. I'm only SLIGHTLY mad they barely had Nora in it and I'm only SLIGHTLY bitter at cutting June and Luna. But I am an optimist and I will focus on the good which is that they're doing the characters incredible justice, and if I see one person try to deny their chemistry I will A Clockwork Orange their ass to this trailer for days. Because That Is Alex and Henry. That's them in front of my eyes and I think they're in very good hands and this is the most coherent thing I can write I'm still crying-/srs

Trama: la potagonista è la figlia di Zsadist, beniamino di tante lettrici. Lei se ricordate si chiama Nalla, è ormai adulta e in questo libro si innamorerà di qualcuno e suo padre naturalmente si preoccuperà per lei. Niente altro ci è dato sapere per ora.

IO aspetto tantissimo questo libro, riprenderò a leggere questa serie che ho abbandonato anni fa, solo per lui.

Trama: Syn è un vampiro brutale e solitario a cui la vita non ha concesso sconti. Intanto, la guerra tra i vampiri e la Lessening Society giunge alle battute finali. Butch O'Neal, designato dalla profezia come il Dhestroyer che metterà fine allo scontro, trova in Syn un alleato insperato. Ma Butch può davvero fidarsi di quel guerriero dal passato oscuro? Mentre il tempo scorre inesorabile, Jo viene trascinata nella battaglia, insieme a Syn e alla Confraternita, contro le vere forze del male.

La serie spin off della Confraternita del pugnale nero intitolata appunto Gli eredi della confraternita (Black dagger legacy) non mi risulta sia ancora stata completata in italiano, manca il quarto libro Blood Truth, mentre i libri precedenti    1. Blood Kiss, 2. Blood Vow e  3. Blood Fury sono disponibili nella nostra lingua.

Vi ricordo inoltre che nel 2024, ma inoltrato, potrebbe uscire su Passionflix, il tanto atteso film tratto dal primo libro della Confraternita: Dark lover.

E' ormai un anno che la Ward aveva annunciato di averne venduto i diritti, ma ancora non si hanno date certe. Sembra al momento stiano creando il cast.
