do you think she ever used it for her friends? she embroidered stars into adaine’s jacket sleeves, stitched the tears in gorgug’s jeans with mushrooms and leaves. maybe there’s a sun on the pocket of a pair of denim shorts she never wears but can’t bring herself to throw away. do you think they asked where she learned it? that she shrugged it off, claiming it was just another thing she’d picked up?

do you think the muscle memory came back to her in that moment? fabric and skin aren’t so different, you see, not when you’re under pressure. sometimes the stress feels the same when you’re down to the wire. sometimes your friends panicking about a dying woman is the same as your parents asking your tiny brother where the strange stitches in his jeans came from.

Spy has a real antipathy towards sniping as a profession, which is interesting since he’s not the one who’s being sniped generally, being cloaked or disguised 90% of the time. His teammates however get sniped a lot, especially Heavy and Medic. Maybe he’s a little indignant on their behalf, I don’t know. I know I’m grateful to Spies when they take out Snipers for me/my Heavy, haha.

GOD something about Ianto being appalled that Jack could/would sacrifice those kids to the aliens in 1965 and yet when Jack gets shot (when Ianto has literally just found out), his first instinct is to pull Jack into his lap and hold his hand.

And that when there isn't even a sliver of danger to Jack -- it's just that Ianto knows how jarring and unpleasant it is for Jack to come back from death and doesn't want him to go thru it alone this once (even though he has done a million times before) not if he can help it 😭

silly episode idea but hear me out

okay well the first part isn’t silly! so the episode is based around a con they are doing where a polyam triad wants to get married and have been writing to senators and stuff for years but nothing has happened. maybe there is a time element that leeway has to happen soon (not sure what that would be yet, maybe someone is sick???)

(obviously polycules aren’t only and are often more than just a closed three-person system, but I’m saying triad right now bc I feel like that would be an easier and more ‘socially acceptable’ gateway into more accepting legislation for diverse relationship dynamics)

the leverage crew, of course, can’t outright change the public perception of poly marriage, but they can use the ‘enemy’s’ tactics against them and slip stuff into legislation without people noticing like they do. it’s slimy and it’s not a permanent fix, but it’s a start, and it gives people the opportunity to see poly marriage in action and that it isn’t as terrifying or pearl-clutching-inducing as they think it would be. there’s a long way to go, but the seeds of change have been sown and they will make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible

this is one of the cases that they will monitor on the back burner over time. some cons can finish within a few hours (the bottle job), and some things they will follow over time and make adjustments when needed- amplify voices and expose corrupt politicians etc

and then it’s just after 3/4 of the way through but the con has been finished? what is going on? this is where the silliness comes in
