♡Right after Zenitsu met you, he immediately asked you to marry him. Before you could even politely decline, Tanjiro smacked him on the back of his head.

♡It didn’t take very long until you realized Zenitsu’s scared personality. He would practically scream at everything.

♡Any time you got the chance, you would visit the butterfly estate to help him train.

♡You felt bad at how he was terrified of being a demon slayer. So you offered to help him. You began training him and attempting to get rid of his fears.

♡Any time Zenitsu got scared, which happened a lot, he’d cling to your side while you pat his head reassuring him he was okay.

♡The food you make for him is also something that makes him feel better after getting scared. If your head pat’s don’t help him, your food will. But he’ll definitely have tears in his eyes while eating.

♡Being with Zenitsu is much like being stuck with a scared little kid that’s by your side 24/7.

♡He gets attached to you very quickly. With the way you treat him so kindly, he can’t not be by your side.

♡So whenever he has a mission without you, he’s gripping onto your haori while the people he’s going on the mission with try to pry him off of you while yelling apologies.

♡Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho, who all saw Inosuke trying to fight you, immediately grabbed onto his legs while yelling at him to stop. They knew you were fully capable of beating him as a hashira. That’s why they were trying to get him away. So his injuries wouldn’t possibly end up worse.

♡With all the commotion, Zenitsu heard and walked over in confusion. Then Tanjiro followed. Only to see Inosuke trying to fight you.

♡That’s when inosuke found out that you were Tanjiros sibling. And a hashira at that.

♡The moment you actually first got along with Inosuke was when you were helping Aoi in the kitchen. Aoi had to leave to finish the laundry and that’s when Inosuke ran in.

♡As always he had demanded you to fight him. Every time you ignored his offer. So this time you did as well.

♡”You want some takoyaki?” You asked, completely ignoring his request. It took him a while to process what you said. Especially since he’d already eaten and he wasn’t allowed to have seconds.

♡He’s not really used to kindness or affection. Tanjiro had been enough with how nice he treated everyone. But the moment he met you it was different. You had obviously favored him.

The three had heard reports of a demon in a village that never leaves a certain house, it hasn't bothered anyone, but does frighten people at night just by seeing them. Only to discover, they have been trying to find descent food for their still human little sibling. Mom was killed, same with the other older siblings, and dad was thrown into the sun by Nezuko reader for trying to attack little sib after turning into a demon. I personally think Tanjiro would be having flashbacks about his own family. Reader tries so hard to keep his sanity for his sibling, and is actually keeping it pretty well. If he is killed and accepts his death is up to you. You don't have to do this, I just wanted a little bit of fluff to the end.

Unhinged Kimetsu Academy Headcanons

-Muzan and Kagaya are cousins. They despise each other. They are forced to be civil when the extended family gets together around the holidays, and have an unspoken agreement that they have to pretend to get along for the sake of their relatives. Kagaya is much better at this than Muzan. Amane holds her tongue, but she and Kagaya talk mad shit in the car on the way home.

-Mitsuri is going to art school, and desperately wants to student-teach in Tengen’s art class. He always refuses, mainly out of a very warranted fear that his students will like her better than him.

-When Kyojuro’s hearing is having an especially bad day, he can really struggle to speak to Obanai, who is soft spoken and wears a mask, so Kyojuro cannot read his lips. They will get stuck in loops of “what? Sorry, what?”, and Kyojuro feels bad about making Obanai take his mask off, so sometimes he’ll ask Obanai to write things down or just sign to him instead.

-When it gets especially cold outside, Tanjiro will force Inosuke to accept his coat by yammering about how much he appreciated him and how sad he would be if Inosuke caught a cold. If he gets flustered and giddy enough, Inosuke will agree to wear the coat so Tanjiro will be happy.

-During Zenitsu’s first week at the academy, he referred to the Ubuyashikis as “Beauty and the Beast”, and was overheard by Amane. Upon reporting this to Kagaya, she was shocked to find that instead of calling for discipline, Kagaya laughed his ass off for ten minutes straight and immediately adopted the nicknames. To this day, he still calls her Beauty when trying to tease her, and they have matching keychains of the enchanted rose on their work bags.

-Because he is polite, respectful, and capable of beating a grown man’s ass into the pavement if needed, many girls will approach Hakuji for protection if they are scared to walk home alone. -Hakuji is mortified by the way he used to harass Kyojuro for a fight as a middle schooler. After marrying Koyuki, he has cleaned up his ways and become quite the gentleman, and he copes by lying to himself that the teachers have forgotten all about it. Unbeknownst to him, Kyojuro is quite excited for Hakuji to graduate so they can finally have a good old spar between martial artists.

-The Ubuyashikis are fully aware that Nakime is a spy for Kibutsuji. Kagaya lets her stay, because she has never once uncovered anything remotely useful, and he knows that she’s just a bit down on her luck and looking for a place to belong. He has faith that someday she’ll realize the error of her ways and abandon Muzan’s regime of terror. Amane is not convinced, and actively takes any chance she can get to thwart Nakime’s casual espionage.

-Tengen loves to watch anime, being the art nerd and flashy bastard that he is. His favorite is Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure, and he often tries to peer pressure Kyojuro into watching it. Kyojuro tends to have a hard time following what on earth is happening in that show, but he does enjoy some of the more tame ones.

-Following the Halloween festival, Kokushibo developed a casual interest in cooking. He’s gotten quite good with a bit of practice. Rumor has it that he makes an extremely good curry, and it’s become Yoriichi’s favorite.

# tanjiro ! ☆

Somehow, TANJIRO becomes even more of a sweetheart then he already is. He’s considerate and he’s such a thoughtful person that it would be hard not to fall for his accidental charm

Tanjiro tends to linger close to you when he starts to fall for you. It takes him some time to understand why but he knows he treasures you as a person and likes your company dearly. His hands tend to gravitate towards yours but he’s always quick to retract them, it’s then when he realizes that he truly has a crush.

Zenitsu and Inosuke pester him about this heavily. Zenitsu always complains about Tanjiro being so secretive about the person he’s fallen for, as inosuke gives him horrible advice. As his first response was “I SAY CHALLENGE THEM TO A FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!” As for the best, tanjiro believes his own methods will work best.

He enjoys doing tasks for you or just helping you out in general. Whether it’s holding heavy baskets, or taking over a job you were assigned to do for the corps. Compared to others, his hugs or even small touches linger longer than others. His actions have more meaning behind them and his intentions are pure and genuine

# zenitsu ! ☆

ZENITSU is the most outgoing when he had the crush, he doesn’t try to hide his feeling either. Everybody knows he had a major crush on you, and I’m not surprised if you know as well.

He’s overly dramatic about anything and everything when he’s around you, and use even the smallest thing to cling onto you. He’ll whine if he hasn’t seen you and he’ll cling onto your arms and hold you close once he does have his sights on you. Only for him to get either scolded by Tanjiro or smacked in the back of his head by inosuke.

Not to say he isn’t over dramatic in private, but his tone is much calmer and his words are more genuine. Normally he would cling onto you with his hands, but now prefers to do it with his words. When he proclaims his love for you in public many pass it off as a joke, but in private it’s more indirect with actions and you begin to believe it’s no longer a simple joke anymore.

Zenitsu who also is the quickest to figure out his feelings for you, as it’s comes along almost immediately after he meets you for the first time. Similar to Genya is first embarrassed about how he feels, but brushes it off quickly not wanting to waste any chance that arises.

# inosuke ! ☆

Everybody knows INOSUKE had a crush on you, while they can’t point it out without him yelling at them their point still stands. It’s not like he’s trying to show the world he has a crush, he truly just doesn’t know he even has one in the first place.

It easy to point out how different he is around you compared to anybody else he surrounds himself with. He actually takes time to properly know your name, or how he’ll let you eat the food you get and then take even the smallest leftovers you have left. Most surprisingly he’ll try to somewhat improve his hygiene habits if you took the time to bug him about it enough.

In Inosuke’s mind he believes what he’s doing is normal, or at-least what he’s feeling is normal at first. In his mind your just more superior than others around you, so you’ll gain that respect from him as well. It isn’t until he finishes talking to you one day and butterflies swim in his stomach is when he thinks much differently.

He immediately visits Shinobu believing he’s sick and she’ll have to explain to him what he’s feeling. While he partially understands what she’s saying, he begins to believe it’s similar to have boars try and impress a future mate. Inosuke may even attempt to impress you with his skills as a hunter believing that will lead you into letting him out a ring on your finger, or in his mind just “keeping you by his side”.

# kanao! ☆

Nobody could really tell that KANAO truly had a crush on you. Out of anybody here, she’s able to keep to herself more compared to the others. She’s more secretive about this and her more romantic advances are much more discreet.

She’s very calm about the situation and the only small hints about her feelings come from her words and actions. Around others she is silent, she prefers to keep to herself and only truly speaks if spoken to. Around you she’s more open to emotionally express herself, she starts the conversations and her emotions are more visible as you speak.

Compared to others, Kanao is just find with spending time together. Whether you doing something together in a close proximity, or if your both doing separate things in the presence of each other she’s perfectly content.

She only really expresses her feelings to aoi, she one of the most self aware with how she feels but is unsure of how to take care of it. Only after getting help from aoi will she even attempt to pursue you, but she’ll hesitate away from even the first step and aoi will have to bug her about it constantly until she’s able to do it herself.

# genya ! ☆

GENYA is embarrassed to have a crush on you. Not that you embarrass him, but he’s embarrassed of himself for getting such heated reaction. He distanced himself from you by instinct as being somewhat near you can cause his face to go red in the beginning.

He starts off as some sort of secret admirer. He learns about you from a distance such as asking kocho for her help or opinions. With him being in the butterfly mansion often, she’s the first one to even know he has a crush and the main influence to his actions. It takes a while for him to even build up the courage to gift you something. A simple white gardenia flower placed delicately on a shelf in your room. It wasn’t anything revolutionary, but it was the thought that counts!

Through Shinobu’s encouragement, he manages to work his way up to talking with you face to face, properly. Your first conversations are shorter than he liked, as his response are quick and short, with either very few words exchanged or just him shaking his head. Overtime he’s able to open his shell, being able to grasp full length conversations, he’s able to share his thoughts and whatever on his mind he’s able to express more compared to his usual grunt of annoyance.

It doesn’t take much time for others to catch onto this either. They noticed how his tone is softer and he talks at a normal voice instead of his usual irritated yelling. His eyes are really what gives it away, how there much softer contradicting his brother, you can see the emotion he’s feeling through them. A small detail but it holds much more meaning to it. Even through his subtle ways, Genya just wants to show you how much he really cares for you.

You were outside eating with Inosuke on the patio of the Butterly Mansion. Both of you were taking a short break from the tasks of the day to refuel. The weather was lovely so you both decided the patio was a great place to eat lunch.

However, It didn’t take long for trouble to stir up, it never did with Inosuke.

You crashed onto the floor, Inosuke going completely feral trying to wrestle the shrimp from you. The demon slayer opened his mouth wide and went to bite the shrimp in your hand. You quickly pulled the shrimp away causing Inosuke’s open mouth to make contact with something he didn’t intend.

Both of you instantly froze as Inosuke’s mouth bit down on your neck instead of his intended target of the tempura.

A small squeak escaped your lips as a shiver ran through your body. Insouke let go of your neck, his body having a reaction of his own that he didn’t understand.

Why was he suddenly feeling warm and fuzzy? Insouke stayed on top of you frozen unsure of what to do. His face was an undistinguishable mess as he stared down at you.

“You- you bit me!” You finally exclaimed.

“Uh-“ Inosuke was at a loss for words.

“Uh no it’s ok- you can have it,” he said with a blush tinting his face, causing a blush of your own to arise.

Tanjiro’s face was painted with shock. Inosuke had never turned down food before.

“Thanks, Insouke,” you said, smiling at the demon slayer.

the day had been rough, he’s so tired but he won’t dare close his eyes until you swing by to bid him goodnight like you usually do.

after too much time passes by, he realizes inosuke and zenitsu have fallen quiet. he still smells them on the porch, so he gets up, hoping this will serve as a distraction while you arrive.

but as soon as he exits the room, he smells zenitsu’s overwhelming sadness. his initial thought was that inosuke got too aggressive again.

but

he senses another wave of sadness… coming from inosuke…

and as he gets closer to the porch, he hears zenitsu’s cries and inosuke’s sniffling, there’s some grunting there too.

“guys? what’s wrong?”

♡Tanjiro was always curious as to why you never took off your mask. He simply assumed it was important to you and left it that.

♡he never wanted to pester you into taking your mask off. So being the kind person he is, he didn’t.

♡in fact, he often defended you when others asked you to take off your mask, or tried to take it off themselves.

Tanjiro sat next to you on the wooden engawa of the butterfly mansion. Since the two of you had gotten injured on a mission together, you were once again forced to undergo shinobu’s painful training.

The garden of the butterfly mansion was nice and peaceful. It was quiet for once considering

Zenitsu and Inosuke had been inside the estate. The only thing being heard was Tanjiro’s soft and continuous chattering.

You listened intently to him until your eyes and mind drifted off to the plate holding onigiri.

You were starving, since you had skipped breakfast. And you had been with Tanjiro long enough to be comfortable with taking your mask off. Your hands reached up to your face, carefully taking your mask off and setting it to the side.

Tanjiro moved his head in your direction, only taking the smallest glimpse of you before turning pink and looking away, thinking you didn’t want him looking at you.

It didn’t take long until you noticed Tanjiro awkwardly looking the other way, as if waiting for you to put your mask back on.

“Tanjiro, you could look, it’s okay.” You laughed gently, grabbing the boys attention. The boy, without a second thought, looked over at you.

His heart fluttered the moment you looked at you. The small pieces of rice around your mouth and your wide smile made his cheeks turn pink. He watched as your eyes opened from the closed eyes smile.

He immediately noticed your soulless eyes. Despite the happy expression you gave mere seconds ago, your eyes held no happiness.

Tanjiro stayed quiet, making you tilt your head in confusion. “Y/n? Are you … okay?” He ask worriedly while reaching a hand out and cupping your cheek gently.

˚ʚagatsuma zenitsuɞ˚

♡he’s always so tempted to take off your mask. But he knows to respect your boundaries. Even if he’s always clingy.

♡the moment you take off your mask, it takes him a moment or two to realize your empty eyes. But when he does, he unintentionally thinks it’s scary.

♡zenitsu does everything he can do to restore life back into your eyes. He compliments you, gives you gifts, gives you words of affirmation, anything that comes to his mind.

Zenitsu always brought things back for you when he went on missions. You were used to it but nonetheless you still got flustered every time he did so.

This time, he managed to come back from the mission with a bouquet of your favorite flowers. A wide smile was on the boys face along with a pink blush. “They smell really nice and I know you love them!” Zenitsu cheered before handing you the flowers.

Subconsciously, your hands moved to your mask, lifting it off your face. Zenitsu’s eyes widened as he examined your face. He took note of your flushed face and the smile on your plump lips.

You brought the flowers given to you close to your nose as you sniffed the sweet aroma. Your smile widened slightly as your eyes drifted to Zenitsu, who was completely mesmerized by your looks.

“Y/N, YOU’RE SO CUTE!” Zenitsu ran up to you, pulling you into a hug while non-stop complimenting you. His hands then moved to your shoulders as he pulled away from the hug, now inspecting your features once again.

Only about a minute later he realized your empty eyes. A small but sweet smile on your lips yet your eyes held no emotion. Zenitsu stared at you longer, eyes widened slightly as he stared into your own.

Suddenly tears began brimming his eyes before he began crying loudly, clinging onto your arm. He didn’t want to alarm you by saying anything that may come off as rude.

“Y/N I’LL MAKE YOU SO SO HAPPY!” He sobbed, making you confused. You gave a sad smile before hugging him gently as he sobbed, repeatedly exclaiming that he loves you.

˚ʚhashibira inosukeɞ˚

♡Inosuke most definitely doesn’t know how to react. And when he does, I can’t guarantee he’s going to be polite or gentleman like about it.

♡unlike the others who don’t mind your mask, Inosuke is beyond curious to see your actual face.

♡but more than anything he wants to snatch your mask and tell you he’s the inventor of wearing masks. The ‘king’ of wearing masks. But hey, what did you except? This is Inosuke we’re talking about.

You sat peacefully by the river while Inosuke was playing in it, splashing around while you simply watched him with a smile on your face.

Today had been uneventful and you and inosuke still hadn’t received a mission from your kasugai crows. Hell, inosukes crow won’t even approach him.

Inosuke yelled out your name, gaining your attention. The moment you looked over at him you saw a wide smirk on his face and something in his hands. He raised his hand, revealing a ball of mud mixed with small pieces of sticks.

Your eyes widened as the mud ball went flying towards your face. You yelled as the mud ball hit your mask with an aggressive thud. You groaned, knowing you’d have to clean your mask now. The river was right there anyways.

You stood up, walking to the river. You reluctantly took your mask off, soon after putting it in the river water to wash it off.

Inosuke’s eyes were wide as a finger was pointed at you. He was frozen in place. You looked amazing, although he would never actually say that out loud.

“Good thing you kept your face hidden.”

“HEY!”

The two of you continued on with your bickering for a while. He doesn’t really notice your eyes. When he does, he’s definitely loud about it.

“HEY! WHATS WRONG WITH YOUR EYES!?” He yelled out of blue, inching closer to your face to inspect your eyes. A small blush covered your cheeks at the close proximity between you two.

“Nothings wrong with my eyes..!” You defended yourself although you knew that statement was a lie. Your arms made your way to his chest as you gently pushed him away from you.

“YEAH! SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH YOUR EYES!”

After he learns what it is from asking Tanjiro, he begins thinking any small gesture will make your eyes look less empty. And he definitely gets frustrated when his gifts for you don’t work. Give him time and he’ll soon understand. Hopefully.

˚ʚshinazugawa genyaɞ˚

♡genya, sadly, makes it unintentionally obvious he wants you to take off your mask and show your face.

♡he doesn’t at all make you want to make you feel pressured to take it off.

♡he simply gets really curious. He won’t judge you. He’s too nice for that. Whenever he finds himself getting too curious in taking off your mask, he always stops himself.

Genya had been staring at you all day. You were used to him glancing at you every once in a while. Although today he wouldn’t take his eyes off of you. Multiple times you assumed there must’ve been something on your face. But there was always nothing.

You questioned the boy multiple times although each time he’d dismiss his behavior and apologize with a bright red face.

It confused you as you knew he must want something from you. Soon enough, you put two and two together, realizing what he wanted.

While sitting with him outside on a wooden bench, you caught him staring at the straps of your mask. You then caught him looking at your mask intently.

Throughout the entire day you thought he had been glaring at you. In reality he was only looking at your mask, begging for it to come off.

It made sense. You had known Genya for a long time already. And in all your time of knowing him, you had never once taken off your mask in front of him.

“Genya?” You called out the boys name, breaking his trance.

“Yeah?”

“Do you … want me to take off my mask?” You questioned, already knowing the answer. The boys eyes widened as his cheeks turned a light shade of red. At first he nodded quickly without a second thought. Before pausing.

“O-only if you’re fine with it!” He replied with a more shy nod following his words. You smiled gently before grabbing your mask and pulling it off your face.

Genya stared shock, the small light red turning into a bright red. Why were you even hiding your face? He couldn’t begin to explain how you looked. Amazing.

You heard Genya mumble a small ‘wow’ which made you laugh softly. Genya’s eyes traveled around your face, studying every aspect. He then looked at your eyes. For a split second he saw nothing wrong with them. Only pure beauty. Until he noticed how there seemed to be a small void there.

He didn’t say anything. He opened his mouth but shut it and quickly stopped himself. He felt a sense of guilt wash over him upon seeing your emotionless eyes. Ever since that day, hugs and hand kisses were all you received from him. Unconditional love. But the guilt he felt never left.

˚ʚtokito muichiroɞ˚

♡muichiro fails to understand why you where a mask. If you tell him the reason or make an excuse, he’ll forget it in five minutes and question once more why you where it.

♡even though he pesters you about it on multiple occasions, he respects your boundaries. That being said he’s never laid a finger on your mask.

♡when you finally take off your mask, Muichiro doesn’t at all take notice of the void in your eyes. After all, he is the same. But him after the Swordsmith village arc? That’s a different story…

Muichiro had finally returned after his visit to the Swordsmith village. It only took a second for you to realize the happiness in his eyes. The bright spark that you had been missing from your own.

Even his attitude had changed. Once having such an attitude towards you and sometimes making snarky remarks. Now he was clingy. Clingy and loving, not willing to let you go anywhere on your own. It was different to see the once stoic Muichiro have such a carefree attitude now.

Despite regaining memories from his past, Muichiro’s memory problems slightly remained. But he did remember one thing. He had seen you without your mask once. It was on accident as he walked in on you eating. And of course being respectful, he looked away, not knowing if you were ready to show your face.

But he remembered sneaking a glance at you. It was a short-lived one. And he didn’t remember much about your facial features. However be remembered your eyes. Muichiro noticed everyone else had a certain light in there eyes. Something he didn’t have. Then he saw you and realized that your eyes had been the same. He didn’t think much of it.

He didn’t think much of it until now. He had a better understanding.

“Y/n. Can you take off your mask?” Muichiro muttered while laying his head on your shoulder as the two of you watched the clouds together. “Only if you want to, of course.”

You didn’t mind it. You replied with a simple nod before reaching for your mask and pulling it off of you. Muichiro brought his head up, wasting no time to look into your eyes.

You had a happy expression but your eyes were clearly saying otherwise.

“I’ll make you happy.” You heard him mumble before going back to looking at the clouds, a sad smile on his face. You only tilted your head, having no clue what he was talking about.

But his voice was sweet when he spoke. And that warmed your heart in a nice way.

Taisho Rumor with Tanjiro: you became prone to the Tanjiro affect. After your face reveal, your empty eyes only lasted for a day before becoming bright and loving. That’s Tanjiro working his magic!

Taisho Rumor with Zenitsu: Even though Zenitsu only wants whats best for you and is only trying to make you feel true happiness, he accidentally begins to overwhelm you instead…

Taisho Rumor with Inosuke: He gets really frustrated whenever he see’s your eyes. He doesn’t hate them. He loves them. But he’ll love them even more when “they’ll just cooperate and be happy.”

Taisho Rumor with Genya: Genya has a bad habit of being overly sensitive. And he’s even worse when it comes to you. He worries about your well being too much. So when he saw your eyes, he felt like crying. He was able to hold himself back!

Taisho Rumor with Muichiro: Muichiro most definitely made it his goal to make you happy like how tanjiro made him happy. He won’t give up. So when it comes to making you happy, he’s the fastest to restore you light. Second to Tanjiro, of course.

Valentine’s Day event, day 6.

+ This was supposed to be posted on the 14th, but i accidentally deleted Tanjiro’s and Tengen’s oneshot :( i hadn’t included this one in the event, but i had to write something for the last day since i’m cutting the event short by one day. Happy belated Valentine’s Day<3

“Tanjiroooo! I can’t walk anymore- my feet will fall off!”

Exhaling loudly through your nose, you listened to Tanjiro assuring Zenitsu that the walk was almost over, when in truth, you had no idea when it’d end.

“Can’t we find one of those stupid Wisteria House or whatever?” Inosuke huffed, but even his voice was weary. The fight with a poison spewing demon had been long and dreary and all four of you were positively incandescent with fatigue. You cast a wishful glance at Nezuko’s box, wishing it were you sleeping inside. It was dark and cold, with no sign of human civilisation anywhere. You didn’t know when of if you’d find an Inn nearby.

“It’s very late,” Tanjiro announced nervously, nostrils flaring as though trying to sniff the air. “I suggest making a stop..”

“HUH?” Zenitsu yelped. “W-where will we sleep? I don’t want to turn into Inosuke!”

“WHAT DID YOU SAY?”

You trotted towards a big tree trunk that had fallen on the ground and plopped down on it. “Let’s set up camp. We don’t have a choice, Zenitsu.”

Very reluctantly, Zenitsu relented and when there came the question of who would go search for kindlings, he immediately vetoed himself out.

“I’m staying with [Name]-chan!” He hastily wrapped his arms around you. “I can’t leave a girl alone at night!”

“I’m a Demon Slayer.”

Laughing, you made no attempt at pushing him away even as Tanjiro scolds him and Inosuke clicks his tongue.

Somewhere along listening to Zenitsu whine about his hard life while spontaneously switching to wanting to get married and waiting for Tanjiro and Inosuke to get back, you nodded off. Not for long apparently.

« Get off her! »

Tanjiro’s familiar voice echoed in your ears. Your body felt warm and heavy.

« But it’s cold! » Zenitsu whined in reply.

You were still half-asleep and didn’t know if you were dreaming or not. But the way your body was being shaken indicated that you were very much awake.

« Oi! Get off and gimme your place! »

« NO YOU GO AND FIND ANOTHER GIRL TO CUDDLE YOU BOAR HEAD! »

« Stop screaming! [Name]-san’s asleep! »

« You’re shouting too! »

You groaned and pulled yourself to sit up at once. Zenitsu yelped.

« Ah, [Name]-san! » Tanjiro fretted. « We’re so sorry we woke you up! » he wasted no time in executing a full bow numerous times. You shifted and felt something crinkle on you. Looking down you realized you’d been draped in Zenitsu’s orange haori like a blanket.

Inosuke merely huffed, walked over to you and promptly yanked a whining Zenitsu off you. “Make way.”

He settled down next to you and copied Zenitsu’s earlier actions, except he got underneath the haori too.

“Inosuke, what the h-“ you protested.

“Monitsu said you’re warm and i’m freezing!”

“That’s not what he meant!” Tanjiro’s face was now nearly scarlet and he waved his hands in front of him frantically. “That’s inappropriate, Inosuke! Let go of-“

“Why does he get to coddle a cute girl?” Zenitsu whined. “You guys are always stealing her attention- that’s not fair!”

You blinked owlishly at Zenitsu, then at a very red Tanjiro, trying not to pay too much attention too Inosuke hugging your arm.

“It’s true!” Continued Zenitsu without any qualms. “The other day she was tending to your injuries and you were-“

“[Name]-san was just being nice!” Tanjiro’s tone matched Zenitsu’s shrill one for the first time since you’d met him.

“What’s there to fight about? I’m obviously her favorite fighter!” Inosuke roared.

“Zenitsu!” you groaned, too tired to listen to them fight. “I was just helping out. If you feel like i’m not paying enough attention to you then here,” you nodded your chin towards your left flank. Zenitsu wasted no time in making a beeline for you, hugging you so abruptly he nearly slammed you into Inosuke (who then slapped him on the head.)

You threw a sly glance at Tanjiro. You couldn’t tell if it was the sleepiness making you think so boldly, but it happened for you to ask: “Do you want to join?”

“I-“ he choked. “I’m alright, th-thank you!”

You stared at him through half-lidded eyes before you gave an eloquent shrug. Inosuke was already snoring and Zenitsu quickly slid down the log to rest his head on your lap, giggling drunkenly. It took a long time, but eventually the three of you had fallen asleep with Tanjiro stating he’d keep watch. When he saw your breathing deepen, he quickly pressed a hand to his chest, feeling his erratic heartbeat. A pang of guilt shot through him when he felt envious of his two friends snuggling up to you. It wasn’t right, but maybe next time he’d accept your proposition.

Is it just the kamaboko squad + giyuu there? Or are the other Hashiras there, I was going to recommend Kalim as a love interest for Kanao!Yuu (Kalim being Kanao!Yuu’s Tanjiro 💀) but then thought if there was an Obanai!Yuu because then Kalim would match them

At first he admired the person who quité literally saved his behind. When he was about to asked for their name the Headmage was escorting everyone out.

He talked Jamil ear off about them how fast they were and how they looked pretty (used as a gn term)

The next time he saw them was when they were asking about Jamil accident he finally got their name. Kanao!Yuu

After getting to know them for a while and the whole Scarabia incident he slowly slowly SLOWLY realize his feelings towards them he decided to confess to them

(Tanjiro!Yuu punched Jamil for Kalim btw)

At first when he wanted asked them out he was about to throw a party before Inosuke!Yuu stopped him.

“I know I’m not the smartest person.

“But I know that chestnut does not like parties.”

On to plan B he took them on a carpet ride where he confessed his feelings towards them.

Kalim is the obviously the most affectionate person in the relationship.

He will always pat Kanao!Yuu’s head (wether standing, bending down, or standing on a stool).

He will always talk to them no matter what and they will listen to him talk.

It’s canon that Kanao!Yuu likes giving small gifts to the people they care about. So I can imagine them giving Kalim a small gift (like a keychain or new drum sticks) and him putting them in the treasure vault.

Whenever someone is trying to hurt/manipulate/use Kalim they just have to glare at said person and they back off.

Whenever they cuddle either inside, outside, or on carpet they hug each other tightly (Mainly Kanao!Yuu). With Kalim being big spoon and Kanao!Yuu being the little spoon.

Whenever Kanao!Yuu has to leave Kalim will most likely follow them without realizing it himself.

Whenever Kanao!Yuu let their hair down Kalim will complement them until he realizes how flustered they are.

Whenever Kalim sees a pretty flower he will pick it and give it to them.

I headcanon that Kanao!Yuu has scars not only from their job but also from their past. I feel like Kalim would kiss their scars (with their permission) but won’t asked how they got them until their ready.

When Kanao!Yuu told him about their past he was shock

Not only did their parents basically almost killed them. But they also sold them.

He said that if he ever met them he would have punched them in their face (like what he said about Jamil)

He likes their sisters (even if he never got to meet them). Just hearing you talk about them he could tell they’re good people.

He likes hearing about their world it’s interesting.

He is their number 1 cheerleader.

➢ Tanjiro

He never hesitated to lend you a smile or ask you how you've been

Whenever you run into each other, he's always happy to see you alive and, mostly, well

As Zenitsu and Inosuke join him in his travels, he finds that you're not there as much

It saddens him a little, and makes him worry, but his unease settles at glimpses of you

Later on, you manage to tell him three people are a bit too much to handle when he shows up alone (and the both of you might just go on a spew about how he doesn't need to apologize for having rambunctious friends)

It doesn't take long for him to get you to speak with him more, and for him to let you indulge in ramblings about your favorite things

Freetime as a slayer is very little, but he does take the time he has to take you to places he thinks you'll like(or places you've already mentioned) so you both can relax and have fun

Every once in a while he'll have a gift for you!

Just little trinkets that reminded him of you and such

Tanjiro is someone who will always be there when you least expect it, lifting you up even when you hadn't realized you needed it

➢ Rengoku

He made sure to greet you with a smile and wave every time he saw you

Whether or not it was a random happenance that allowed your paths to cross didn't matter, he'd always find time to wish you well

And, although rare, he'd invite you to share a meal with him

He realized later while talking with Mitsuri that he might've startled you with his shouting(and he made sure to apologize too - he wants you to feel at ease not scared!)

Eventually the polite hellos turn into seemingly one-sided conversations, with him talking and you nodding

When you eventually add a word or two, he stands a little taller and smiles a little brighter

As time goes on, he learns the little things you like and dislike

He finds out a hobby or two of yours as well and often asks about them while you both walk (or snack)

Something he always does is encourage you, especially when you're uncertain or withholding what you truly want to say

Kyojuro will never give up on you, no matter what
