Is it okay if I request Aventurine hcs with a motherly! s/o. Aventurine mentioned during the Trailblaze Quest that his parents left him before they could like idk, teach or raise him properly? So when he meets motherly! s/o, he’ll probably be somewhat weirded out by their affections, but will probably sometimes get emotional at the thought of being taken care of and loved properly, unlike his biological parents.

Maybe motherly! s/o cooks for him, gets him gifts from time to time and maybe sings him lullabies when he’s having nightmares. Aventurine deserves sm tbh :(

as we all know, while growing up, Aventurine didn't have anyone to rely on but himself. His parents left a very few life lessons, however it was never an actual parenthood coming from them, a warm meal to come home to due to being a slave, a loving hug with a big smile to await him when he comes through the door or general worry about his well-being. He has been on his own for so long and everywhere he would go, he would feel quite unwelcomed

that all changed when he met you. You brought warmth, care and genuine interest in him every single day. There would be a big smile and a loving hug waiting for him when he comes home, alongside a warm meal to be shared together. He couldn't adjust at first, not because he didn't care, but because he couldn't comperhend the fact that he was being taken care of by someone

he had a tendency to eat out a lot simply because he never learned to cook. He was fine with making dinners while at home with you, but that was quickly taken care of by you - as you were making almost every meal that the two of you would share. Alas, speaking of his usual habit to eat out quickly changed as well. He found food that wasn't made by you to be awfully bland and distasteful, even when it was made by the most professional chefs, for one reason or the other

the first time when he asked you what kind of seasonings do you use, you jokingly replied to him how it was made with love, that's why it tastes better. But, he actually took your words quite seriously, finally connecting a few dots here and there

but, he still had a bit of harder time adjusting to it all, especially when you would get him gifts or send him messages that were used as a reminders for him to take it easy, checking in if he ate and drank water. He didn't mind those by any means, but it was a bit odd to him. He would ask you why would you buy him gifts when he can afford it himself and your answer remained the same as the previous time he asked a question about your cooking - because of the love. It didn't matter if he could afford it or not, what mattered is that he knew he was loved

your words truly struck something inside Aventurine and he thinks even more about it. Now, more often he finds himself eagerly waiting for your message to check up on him because it does make him feel loved. He also incorporates sending you similar messages back because he wants you to experience the same love that you give to him <3

there are, of course, a few more adjustments to be made still, specifically when you sing to him after he had a nightmare. It is so very comforting to him, especially when you play with his hair while doing so, but he couldn't fully grasp the warmth in his chest. It felt uncomfortable to be weak, but it also felt awfully freeing to be able to be weak. To be weak with you where he feels safe and loved. That thought makes it easier for him to accept it all and believe that it won't be taken away from him <3

all of your habits - cooking, gift giving, checking in, bringing him stuff at work if he forgets them at home, singing, making him lunch boxes, tucking him in, welcoming him in the warmest way possible while making your home the most beautiful place on earth and being his safest space, his person represents the embodiment of love. You. You are the embodiment of love to him and you always will be <3

he will remain eternally grateful for you and all that you do for him and he will always make sure to repay it. Despite his initial awkwardness and confusion about it all, perhaps even a hidden fear that if he gives into love - it will only hurt him; you changed him. Well, better said, you made him feel safe to accept it all and now, every time he does anything, either for you or by himself, he does it with love, so he can be at least the half of the person that you are and make you happy as much as you make him <3

He was thinking about the differences between the two of you... And the similarities too. How you react to things, how you smile, how you show affection or interess in something... He is thinking all of those things at the same time. It would be a reason to "Why he stayed", after all, he never showed any interest in love or relationships that were romantical... But seeing that you were just like a Math question... [A lot of outcomes - Needs hard work and understanding to seek the problem...] That was enough to make his mind so... Full of love and interest. Of course, he couldn't not remember how did 'he bag this baddie'... Spoiler, he didn't. He still remember the day you just looked at him and straight up said "Oh, I don't have this color yet" and just picked him up like a cat and walked with him in your arms. Ok Andy this had been on my mind for a while now and I really want to hear your thoughts on this!

So we all know that Shouto is pure husband material, the kinda guy you'd be proud to introduce to your parents! But yk all those years of abuse and trauma (our poor bby ;-;) would definitely take a big toll on anyone, right?! So I was reminiscing about the earlier episodes where he is all closed off and cold to everyone, and that really got me thinking... what would dating Shouto REALLY be like.

How much of his behavior in a relationship really be affected by his past? Obviously nobody is perfect and even though our princess man comes close what do you think his shortcomings are as a person/partner? What do you think his toxic traits would be? What could be some of his bad habits? How would he react during an argument? I used to hc that he would be really calm and passive but then I remembered this scene

Ofc us being his partner would change things, but he DOES lash out at times. The police officer hadn't yelled at them, he was just explaining what they did was wrong according to the law (which could be unfair but thats his job) and he straight up called him a slur 💀 (well yk in this society where so many ppl have animal related quirks it probably is a slur? Idk tho). He was sorry later but still. I was so shocked when I internalized the fact that Shouto does infact have quite a temper, even when he's not rude/ aggressive about it. It doesn't make him bad or anything because 9/10 times it's well warranted and I am just a pussy who doesn't handle other's anger well but yk...

WHO WOULD EXPECT A TEMPER FROM THIS LIL FACE?!

I am really wanna take his character and study him under a microscope and I am really interested to see your pov on this. Also don't feel inclined to agree with anything I said if you dont, I asked you precisely cuz I wanted a different way of looking at him from mine.

Btw none of this is to paint him as a bad person or partner because of a few shortcomings or his trauma. We all know he's too precious for that and that would be hypocritical of me especially since I have many of my habits and unhealthy ways of dealing with stuff that I dislike, but I also feel like he has so much angst potential in issues that aren't necessarily rooted in his family but moreso his own personality. Healing is often a "one step forward and three step back journey" and while I hate to watch him struggle, his perseverance gives me a lot of strength. Also obviously people change over the course of time and character development and all that, but we see even after the MASSIVE amounts of character development Bakugo has he still retains a lot of his previous qualities and obviously still struggles with a few things. I wonder if it's similar for Shouto. I wonder what he struggles with 🤔 (idk why I am scared but I don't want ppl to take these dumb sleepy thoughts of mine the wrong way yk lol)

(p.s. I am so sleepy rn I don't even know if any of this is coherent cuz the points are flying all over the place but I hope you get a gist of what I am trying to ask. I love myself some sweet angst when it comes to all my blorbos but when I think of Shouto nothing obvious comes to mind. Also whenever I write even an ask or question like this my respect for writers keeps increasing tenfold! How do you guys write fics at like 4 am and it's still a masterpiece and I can barely string my thoughts together... )

Yes!!! I have so many thoughts about this, particularly as someone who also has daddy issues and a hot temper but actively works to be better as well lol.

I do think for the most part we've really seen Shouto move past who he was in those earlier episodes. That is not to say he still doesn't have those feelings, but he arguably manages them in a more regulated way. He has the temper but now he also has the tools and the perspective to better articulate himself.

I think generally Shouto would work hard to be calm and patient during an argument, but as with any human being, mistakes will be made and tempers will spike. I think during particularly bad arguments he'd get more closed off, like in those earlier episodes, would try to go off by himself so that he doesn't explode with that white-hot rage.

I do think, thankfully, that Shouto's ability to show empathy and compassion even in the middle of what we know are the most emotionally trying times of his life (the fights with Dabi), bodes well for his future ability to communicate and regulate himself on the whole. I do not see him as the kind of man who would yell or break things; I see him as the kind of man who now does everything in his power not to be like that.

And also with a face like that, would we not just let him win any argument anyway?? LOL

Alexandre Enjolras - yeah idk i just stole this from the fandom. Enj despises being called Alex though (he will punch you in the face :D), if you must shorten Alexandre he prefers Andre or Al/Allie

Florian Combeferre - i fucking love this name. according to wikipedia it's a saint name, which im like 80 percent sure was popular Back in the Day, so it works for canon era which im happy abt. in modern day France, the name Florian peaked in 1991 at number 9 for boys before promptly dropping out of the top 500 by 2020 for some reason. but when Ferre was born it would still have been pretty popular.

Olivier Courfeyrac - idk it just fits him. similar to Florian, Olivier was uncommon but not unheard of in canon era, and also dropped out of the top 500 a few years back. however, Olivier peaked back in the early 1970s. although it was still being given to several hundred kids a year by when modern!courf would have been born, i hc that he was named after a relative who died soon before his birth.

Camille Feuilly - in both modern-day and canon era France, Camille is seen as a gender-neutral name, which is great because i hc Feuilly has enby-spec. since Feuilly is an orphan, xe may have named xirself after the revolutionary Camille Desmoulins, but i must admit that I only skimmed his wikipedia page and maybe this Camille was an asshole idk. also i found a French artist born in 1934 named Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot and he's pretty cool ig. painting are nice but not as nice as Gainsborough Dupont's ofc

Jean-Marie "Jehan" Prouvaire - of course, we already know Jehan's name, but I added Marie just bc i can

Corentin Bahorel - if you call Bahorel Cory he with smite you btw (like enj they bond over it). Corentin peaked in France at 21 in 1996, but was also very popular during the Revolutionary Period so. thats good.

Valentin Joly - means 'health', i mostly gave him this name bc Irony. as a kid, Joly went by 'Val' and Bahorel, who knew him as a kid still calls him that. Valentin managed to make it to number 11 in France in 1998, and while uncommon, was in fact a name in canon era (like literally all of these akjddsfsa). also i found a French painter called Valentin de Boulogne from the 1600s who died after taking a dip in a fountain while drunk and freezing to death which. slay.

Louis Lesgles - I mean. i can't give all of them cool names. Bossuet gets to be Louis. his family were royalists and named him after all 17 (?) Louis of Frances. that's one of the reasons he goes by Bossuet, he doesn't want to be associated w a (scoff) king

Claud-René Grantaire - i cannot take credit for this it was @jolys-cane (hello). but yeah Very Good. double thumbs up i'd say. maybe even triple. both Claud(e) and René fell out of favor for boys in france around 1990, so our R would have been born *just* (a decade) to soon for it to be popular (eg not in the top 500). works for canon era as well. R tolerates his name, but Only his family is allowed to call him just René. anyone else must say both.

HAPPIEST SEAN HEADCANON AND SADDEST SEAN HEADCANON???

OOOHHHHH ANON, WE ARE IN IT NOW!!!! Good question, good question indeed!! I shall answer to the best of my ability!!!!!

I'll be frank, I had a harder time thinking of my happiest HC than my saddest one, and IDK what that says about me lmaoo but here we are!!

I have a lot of happy HCs for Sean!! The trouble was picking out my happiest among them, bcz some are more silly/funny - like a happy memory or experience I think he would have! - while others are more like. this is something about him which I think is a good/happy thing and that makes me happy. So I'm gonna go with the latter one here, just bcz the red thread of this post will be more cohesive that way njhbjnnbh

So, the HC which makes me the happiest, is supported by a lot of canon, and an aspect of Sean which initially drew me towards him. And it's his genuine interest in people, and his appreciation of them!! I think, despite absolutely having been somewhat disillusioned by the world at large and the oppressive systemic powers which rule it, Sean meets the individual human with incredible good faith!! By that I mean, I think he does believe he has common ground with most people, just by virtue of being alive and surviving in the world, and that is just his approach to everyone he meets in life. There is a sincere sense of empathy and good will in him, and he's not above being proven wrong or staying stuck in a bad opinion of someone. Not that he's above disliking people (we see this clearly with Micah lol), it's just that he's the type to be willing to sit down and have a drink and conversation with almost everyone and anyone.

THAT, to me, says an incredible amount about what Sean thinks of humanity at large, and is why I have this HC of him. And I, personally, as someone who also likes to believe in the good in people and meet them with good faith, have always found this quality of Sean's very appealing!! So it makes me happy to think about, that his exuberance around others actually runs that deep!!!

My SADDEST HC is pretty easy to pick out, as the core of a lot of my sad Sean HC's & thoughts come from the idea that he has self-esteem through the damn floor, similar to Arthur, which he deals with differently - desperately seeking to disprove those thoughts and ideas in what ways he can. It's about him putting out so much affection into the world in the hopes of receiving just a little bit back (and still never expecting it; accepting rejections and unkind comments easily and with a smile because that is what he expects), it's about his need to be friendly & on speaking terms with everyone in camp (save those whose regard he deems unneeded; Micah, and Kieran before realizing he's a victim to circumstance, remedying his approach to him accordingly) and how QUICK he is to step back and try to fix the situation when he realizes he's offended someone in camp.

I think Sean has always read to me as someone who struggles to not only sit still, but to sit with himself, with his own thoughts. Because, how long do you think it takes for him to start spiraling? How long does it take before he starts wondering if there's something he could've done to save his father - starts blaming himself for Darragh's death? How long before the things he was told in reform school - about his intelligence, his worth, starts rearing its head again? It all comes down to a low sense of self esteem, I think, which he seeks to not let himself get stuck on. And that drives a lot of my other sad/angsty Sean HCs, lol!

Height. Around 5'7-5'8, I want her to be tall, robust, and an inch taller than Arthur, better nutrition and all, shes...robust, no better way to put it, shes healthy, tall, and can and will yeet Jack, even as he is built like a brick shithouse. Only has to go on her tippytoes sometimes, mmmmm shes a very good hugger when she does hug, which is rare. Unless you're Jack, she hugs her idiot older brother a lot.

Relation with other bitches as you very concisely put it.

Jack is her sunshine demon of an older brother, she does have to reign him in sometimes, stop him from accidentally killing himself, he does the same for her on occasion, they ho drinking together. When pissed she gains a level of confidence that is frankly terrifying for someone as sharp as a whip as she is, they go surfing together. Zee loves birds, Jack is pretty much a reptile, man starts brumating when it gets too cold, she likes sitting in trees. Like a bird.

She bitches and whines a lot with him but like usually, not always, but usually in a good natured way and is not against physically knocking some common sense into him.

With Matthew it's like tender but also a little more distant than it used to be, he was basically the stand on parental figure for her while the kirllands were out doing fuck knows what, after she got her independence it is still very close and caring but not as much as it used to be.

She is also very blunt when she wants to be. Not something Matt is used to so she will go up and tell his lanky ass that he needs to eat, sleep, and lay off the fucking weed for a bit or he will end up in a ditch somewhere with a squirrel up his arse. Shes direct and a little scary. Matt usually listens to her because again she is not afraid to use blunt force trauma.

Her relationship with Alfred is odd, it is more a business type relationship, he was never really around for her upbringing so she doesnt see him as a brother or anything, more like a far removed cousin. But besides that they and matt absolutely love bitching about people together, like in a corner. It's kindif funny. jack does not join very often unless its winter, he's cold, and has to do official shit, then he gets awfully similar to Arthur and has soooooo much shit with everyone. Hes a little scary like that. Alfred kind of like, tries, to seem familliar bit it never actually works, so hes kind of given up, the business relationship is pretty good though.

Anyways now the hard part is her relationship with the isles

She sees Arthur as a father figure, but like a distant one, hes warmed up a little in recent decades but still seems quite cold, even if unintentionally, hes just really really really repressed like that, but he is protective over her, he is protective over all of them but will personally raise hell if anyone touches a finger on his little girl even as she isnt all that little anymore, he tries but it isnt enough, but the sentiment is appreciated, he was strict with her, but not really in gender roles bc again Arthur is not really the type to be fussy about gender, bug he made sure she was s art, if not physically stronger she will be smarter, and she is, and is also strong so a win win for her.

Hes the softest with her when sober, like a little bit of him melts because shes the youngest, she's a girl, and he's kind if getting old now, but is happy to just sit in silence with her. With say Alfred they always have ti be talking or moving or something, Alfred got it from Arthur and it just kind of echoes back. With Matthew he has gotten more lax but still is professional with him, unless either or both are more rats assed then a scouser after a football match, with Jack he is nearly as soft as he is with her, just a little bit more restrained.

She finds it a little odd but not unwelcome that he is calmer with them, but sometimes his near inability to process feeling or feel sympathy or empathy absolutely drives her around the fucking bend. She gets angry at him a lot, for good reason too, historical and personal both. I wont get into them bc I'm nit that well versed in their history.

With alisdair it's very much an uncle situation, same with rhys, and a closer aunt with Brighid, unlike Matt who had Alisdair as basically a stand in parent while Arthur was drunk, or busy, or Jack who has called brighid mum before, they all feel somehwat distant, she likes Brighid but does find her a little intense, most people do but she isn't complaining too much, she has the widest emotional bandwidth of any of the isles and is also the best at comforting by far, Zee likes to feel physically grounded and none of the Kirklands can do hugs without being very awkward about it, closest is the slightly tipsy hugs that Alisdair gives when he sees her looking down.

I dont actually have much developed for rhys or alisdair. I'm sorry :,) and I probably do have other thoughts I just cannot be asked to type it out rn so I hope this is satisfactory

Explanations of their outfits under the cut

Cassandra “Cass” Covey. Genderbent book-innacurate Frankenstein. Because 1) she doesn’t care for reading long novels and 2) her twin sister Grace does and she’s all about ticking off her nerdy sister. Plus, she’s a theatre kid and a cosplayer, and making green skin look gorgeous is the perfect challenge to rival her brilliant mind.

Andrea Anyakapor-Wright (it’s the teal ok but there’s no teal option on Tumblr). She’s more of a makeup girl than a costume one. I saw some Inspo on Pinterest (lmk if anyone wants me to link it) and miss girl is characterized by her colorful eyeshadow and different earrings every day. This glamorous look is so up her alley.

Lisa Rose Garcia. Luz Noceda, because 1) they’re both Colombian queer girls with a lovey lesbian gf, and 2) I really wanted to see Lisa cosplay as Luz. (Lisa’s a lesbian btw and so is her gf, Primrose. Here’s a bonus of Prim as Amity!)

Sayaka Miyahira. She’s the tallest in the group, 15 and almost 6’, and I am in love with her nose shape. So I decided to have her cosplay as one of my favorite characters with a similar nose structure— Poison Ivy. Bc I’m pretty sure our plant queen is bisexual too, and I hc Poison Ivy to be one of Sayaka’s personal heroes. Now, she is autistic and creates tech out of her energy force fields (DON’T ASSUME OK I’M AUDHD SHE IS MORE FLESHED OUT THAN JUST TECH SMARTS) and I was thinking about having her cosplay as Donnie from RotTMNT (one of my if not my favorite autistic character out there) but purple is more Grace’s thing.

Grace Covey. Cass’s twin, sure she’s the more “nerdy” sister but she’s also the one ready to f*king deck you if you think a bad thought about her family. I wanted to have her cosplay as one of her hyperfixations, a book series called The Fair Mage Blue (a human girl named Bkur awakens trapped on the island chain Hera, which has been tormented by the giant Sildensnake for a hundred years. Only the Sildensnake’s poison can create portals between realms, so Blue teams up with Adaline, an old ex-Golden Islian who originally helped create the Sildensnake but then defected once she saw it’s dangers, and Emery, a Silver Isles prince who she detests at first who wants to learn more about Hera’s history.) Basically Grace would cosplay as Blue, and Hunter as Emery, but I didn’t have time to design their looks too. So Grace is Red Riding Hood.

Hunter Wing. He was going to be Emery at first, but again, little time, so he’s the Wolf. Some delicious irony with Grace, isn’t it? Idk much to San about him, except “no Cass, I am not a furry.”

Hi I hope you don’t mind me asking. I’ve been wanting to write Ethan x MC fics. But I feel like I don’t see Ethan in the “conventional” way people here in the fandom do. I know everyone writes their own version of him but honestly I’m kind of scare people would reject my stories if I don’t write him as lovey dovey as the rest. Idk why but I have a fascination for book 1 Ethan with just a few twists.

Do you think making friends is more important to have engagement on fics? I’ve seen people in the fandom RB fics that are different from their own HC, but only from people they’re friends with. If it’s something different & it’s coming from someone they don’t like or talk to, it gets rejected or ignored. I really hope this doesn’t offend anyone. And I know there’s a few people (you included) who are on both sides of the border (with more known and liked creators & those who aren’t) and RB a variety of fics.

Thanks for feeling comfortable enough to reach out to me about this. Unfortunately, I don't have a crystal ball, so I can't say what will happen. But I can share my personal experience and what I've observed in my time here, and hope it helps you. Then, I'll offer you my advice (which you can take or leave). 😊

There is a more "popular" version of Ethan in the fandom, and it is a romanticized version. This is not right or wrong, nor good or bad. It just is. No one dictates that it must be this way, but there are more readers that seem to want that content. These are just facts. I can attest to that because I write different versions of Ethan and, by and large, the mushy Ethan is always the most engaged with.

Personally, I think it's because people want escapism - hell - I do, too, at times. But keep in mind if your version falls outside of that (especially if it is drastically different), you may not get tons of engagement - especially with numbers so low today. And that's not an attack - it's not a judgment - it's just that's not what the majority of people are here for. People attack from both sides. Trust me, I know. My first fanfics on Tumblr were my original OH alternate ending and Delaying the Inevitable. You cannot get more sugary and sweet than the former, and the latter has sweet moments, but it is an angsty roller-coaster of emotions. The first is perfect, Ethan, and the second is very broken, Ethan, who does some really hurtful things to MC, to his father, and to others.

I've gotten anon hate for both versions. Yes, I've gotten hate for mushy Ethan, too - mocked terribly for it, actually. Have I gotten more hate for the DTI version? Yes. Absolutely - but see point #1. I believe it's just a numbers game. Yet, with that said, DTI stands in a class by itself compared to anything else I've written. I've never seen that loyalty, that excitement, and that level of interest. So, obviously, not everyone hates it. Friends and support on Tumblr can go hand in hand, but they don't always - and in my opinion - they shouldn't. Let's say you meet someone here. You have similar personalities, like the same music; you just click and become friends. But you have totally different writing styles/approaches to fanfic. Should you both be required to read a ton of fics that aren't your thing just because your friend wrote them? No. Does that mean you don't like each other and can't be friends? No. Does it always work that way? No. Are there friend groups that will RB everything someone in the group posts? Sure. Is that good? I mean, that's each person's personal opinion. I am in the camp of, no, it's not good. Why? From a writer's perspective, I don't want a bunch of empty notes. If I have 10 notes from people who are TRULY enthusiastic about my work, who I truly brought something to, it beats having 50 notes from people who skimmed my work, don't really care for it, and aren't giving me honest feedback. But that's just me. From a reader's perspective, I don't think people should be forced to read things they don't particularly care for just because they're friends. We read for enjoyment, right? I can be friends with someone and not necessarily love their style of writing. I can not be very fond of someone and think their work is spectacular. Work should be judged on taste and merit, IMO. I know it doesn't always work that way here, but that's my approach. You have to determine what's most important to you. If notes are the most important, then write what people want. But I think that gets pretty empty pretty quick. Writing is personal. Do I wish the works that were most important to me and brought me the most personal fulfillment got the most notes? Sure. And sometimes, they do. But often, they don't. I'm still going to write them. To me, it's not about a popularity contest. And if there is anyone who will stop being your friend because they disagree with your version of Ethan (or anything else), sweetheart, they're not your friend to begin with, and you're not losing a blessed thing if they walk away. My advice to you? WRITE WHAT YOU WANT TO WRITE. It will make you happiest, and I assure you, it will be your best work. DON'T MAKE NOTES YOUR GOAL. Notes are fickle. I don't know if you saw my post-Sunday, but I have had people outright tell me they have not RB me because I was getting too many notes or I was too new and had to pay my dues. I have seen people who RB just because they're friends, and I have seen people who will NOT RB just because they're not. It's a fucking game here (a stupid one), and it's gotten worse as the fandom dwindles. But that game impacts the number of notes any creator gets. If you tie your self-worth as a person or as a writer to number of notes, you're setting yourself up to be hurt needlessly. Make your own fulfillment the goal. Don't be mad if what you imagine/write isn't the most popular. We can't tell other people what to like or read. But does it make you happy? Are you proud? Do you have at least one other person excited about it with you? Then you're golden, in my opinion.

NOW ONE WORD OF ADVICE FOR EVERYONE...

I recommend one weekend when you're free. Take the list from @openheartfanfics. Or if you're not in OH's fandom, take the list from @choicesficwriterscreations. And read every single fic. Why? You are likely to find something you like that you would not have otherwise. If you don't, don't do it again - but give it a shot. Oh, and while you're there? Give each writer a ❤️. Show them love and support for taking the time to write and then sharing it with us. I know this is long (dude, it's me lol), but I think this is very important. Taeyong as Captain: If he can lead a 20+ member kpop group, he can lead a giant research spaceship (probably). Also, one of Kirk’s biggest strengths as captain tends to be his compassion, which I reason TY could fulfill nicely!

Johnny as First Officer: In TOS, Spock takes on the role of both FO and Chief Science Officer, but uhhh Spock is a (half) Vulcan and Johnny is Johnny, so he just gets FO (with much respect to Johnny) 😆 Probably he just steps up as TY’s backup / picks up where TY is unable to and otherwise chills on the Bridge 😋✌️ and posts on space Instagram lol

Taeil as Navigator + Haechan as Helmsman (Pilot): Genuinely. I just think giving HC control over the entirety of a giant research spaceship would be very funny. And I think Taeil giving him directions off Google Maps (with extra math and physics) while he does so would be hilarious. I think many hijinks would ensue, which is only proper for ST. Also Sun & Moon inverse Sulu & Chekov... so true...

Yuta as Chief Tactical Officer: I would not hesitate to put a phaser in YT’s hands. Also he looks pretty epic in the new High&Low movie, so I  think that those skills would definitely translate into ST AU. Altho, I think most of what he’d be doing is like, fire lasers from the spaceship?? Still, pretty epic. He’d make it look cool.

Doyoung as Records Officer: 😭 Sorry m8 you’re doing the paperwork LOL 😭 but also I think he’d take this opportunity to come up to the bridge as often as possible and bother TY which, again, would probably be extremely hilarious 😆

Jaehyun as Materials Officer: 😢 okay I am a bit sorry for this one, but also I wasn’t sure where to put him... And I didn’t want to put too many “action” people, because at its core, ST is about respectful ‘discovery’/science and idealism, NOT action (*side-eyes Abrams*) :/ so he gets to do inventory LOL which I hope he would enjoy (also would YOU trust JH with a phaser?? much to consider...)

Jungwoo as Quartermaster: Idk I just feel like it’d suit him, he just gets to take care of everyone’s little outfits LOL important, low-stakes job with little action and a good amount of people interaction...! I think he’d be very good at it!

SCIENCE DIVISION (aka Dream)

Mark as Chief Science Officer: Okay I actually feel extremely strongly about this one 👁👁 I am positively CONVINCED that if Actual Markly was not a kpop idol, he’d be a CS major ??? or some sort of typical Asian Dude STEM major LOL I am not sure why it is just the extreme vibes that I feel deeply about. Anyway he’s got a lot of ambition, so I wouldn’t be surprised at him ending up CSO... plus he’s Dream’s leader so I felt obligated to put him there l m a o

Jaemin as Chief Medical Officer + Jeno as Physician: I was watching a recording behind for Dream and someone said ‘Jaemin’s rly regretting not going to med school now lol’ and somehow that stuck with me HAHA similar principle to Markly, he’s got an edge that I’m sure could actually carry him thru med school LOL and idk I’d probably trust Jeno if he were my physician. One time my friend had to get an IV and she hates needles but she didn’t panic bc the nurse was kinda hot lol

Renjun as Physicist: Idk he just looks like he’d study something nerdy like physics :P JUST KIDDING (sort of) he seems like a smart guy and has a pretty levelhead (lol... maybe...) overall... physics is just the vibe...

Chenle as Archaeologist: 😆 I just figured he would choose to study something mildly pretentious but also mildly exciting, but I also wanted it to somewhat match with JS’s so they could be a duo LMAO (but also, if you look at the ranks chart, he outranks JS just slightly which, again, is for peak comedy purposes)

Jisung as Geologist: Again, he’s got to match with CL, but be just slightly unexciting HAHA 😅 Rocks... very excellent... BUT since CL and JS’s fields are pretty hands-on, they’ll likely be on the “away team” pretty often, neatly putting them into unexpected alien hijinks LMAO (again, peak comedy)

OPERATIONS DIVISION (WayV + Sungtaro)*

Ten as Chief Communications Officer + Yangyang as Deputy Communications Officer: Couldn’t separate Tenyang!! They’re good with languages, therefore, they get to do language stuff 😋 not sure which of them would be more similar to Uhura’s role, but either Ten and YY struggling to communicate with aliens ... lolll

Xiaojun as Section Chief: Not 100% sure what this is HAHA 😭 me when my research is half-assed... but I think he has a security team under his command... Anyway... Just wanted XJ to see some action... I think it’d be a bit funny... “iron nuggets roll out” lolll so true... punch a hostile alien in the face hell yeah...

Hendery as Transporter Operator: Putting HD in charge of a mystical science portal that literally rearranges someone’s atoms from one place to another, usually hundreds of kilometers away or so?? COMEDY!!!

Sungchan as Engineer + Shotaro as Tactical Officer: I tried to give them ensign-level roles since they’re both the “newbies” :’) and as of rn... remain without fixed units... :( ANyway SC would get to work with Kun (whom he seems to be friendly with) but I suspect he shirks duties to go hang out with JW LOL, who wouldn’t be too busy... Shotaro would be working under YT and get to hang out on the Bridge, where he’d (possibly) be able get to know TY & YY 🤔

As for Bethany HCs, I unfortunately don’t have a lot. Idk why, I guess I just find other characters more interesting.

I haven’t talked a lot about my Headcanon’s on character personalities. Bethany is kinda basic atm, being one of the few kids in the basement who’s actively working towards getting out. She hates how normalized all the murder and violence is, but recognizes that’s all she can really do (I was gonna write a fic about her first day in the basement, but that’s been in development hell for months). She holds her Christian values strongly and likes to ramble about her religion. She’s one of the more hopeful kids of the basement, fully believing there’s a way out for all of them. Most of the kids have given up at this rate, but not her. She and Judas don’t get along at all, they are complete opposites. Though most of kids tend to like/tolerate her cause she’s easy to work with. Bethany is a bit judgmental and stubborn on her choices, but not as bad as some (cough Judas cough) make her out to be.

I do also know how her Book of Virtues works. When you read the pages off of the book, the words themselves fly off the pages and burn up, becoming the whisps. The book says something different depending on the person holding it, and it unreadable to anyone other than the user. The words would look like a mix of Latin gibberish and scribbles of some unidentifiable language. Why Bethany can use soul charges I haven’t decided, though maybe it has something to do with her body being unable to hold soul heart auras due to her connection with BoV, similar to how she is with her Lemegeton.

And while it’s pretty brief, I have spoken about her in other posts.

i would never survive this cause my psychosis makes me so paranoid sometimes i cannot leave my house. if someone so much as hinted anyone as the killer it would be game over, i can't sleep, i think everything is poisoned and im convinced im always being followed. i can recognise when it's a delusion normally but that doesn't make it any less real. if you tell someone with psychosis that there hallucinations/delusions are not real it's very bad, it's like if someone told you that the sky doesn't exist.

a thing with my psychosis that i would like to think billy experiences is forgetting. i don't want him to be in distress but i would quite like some representation because i want to relate to him more. if someone has hurt me or made me upset sometimes i will just forget. i will associate them with pain but i won't remember what they have done, it really sucks. i most likely remember after a while though. it just feels invalidating and i think that i did something. sometimes i have an episode or really bad anger and my coping is pretty self destructive.

if you don't think it's right for his character or this didn't make sense then ignore me. i hope you are doing well, i love your writing. <3

Sorry, I've had such a busy week! Grandpa in the hospital with pneumonia, driving 30 min away twice a day everyday to take care of his pets, family friend has uterine cancer and my mom is driving her to her surgery and were both helping her out at home this week and weirdly enough my great uncle had been battling cancer for 5 years (Terminal. He's on his death bed basically. He only weighs 95 lbs now.) and has medical psychosis now.

His body has been through so much that one day his mind just snapped for lack of a better word. He walked in the hospital fine and completely his regular self before a surgery and then within an hour of waiting he started screaming and thrashing that he was in a bus and kids were going to get ran over. It scared my aunt to death bc he wasn't my uncle in that moment and none of us have ever seen him like that before. He's home and doing much better. "Yeah, ya know she has me in a box underground, right? These fucking abortion nurses are stealing fetuses and they got me locked in a god damn box bc they couldn't steal mine."

...We just rolled with it but omfg I'm glad we know he has psychosis rn bc I can't imagine a stranger calling me and telling me that 🥴☠️ I just have to laugh and so did my aunt bc she's so defeated and tired seeing him like that and taking care of him that we have to find some humor in this especially since he's not scared about it just not connecting certain dots and he only gets scared when she leaves for groceries or anything like that bc that's when the paranoia sets in. And it's just disheartening to see him in this mental state sometimes

I know that psychosis is different in everyone and medical psychosis might not be the same as the psychosis you're dealing with and that there's varying levels and that most psychosis especially medical or stress can go away within time and on proper medication. Now, idk much about psychosis brought on by having other psychological disorders or if there are forms of psychosis that never goes away?? I'm more than eager to learn from your perspective bc I definitely hc Billy is my story as having psychosis similar to his future daughter Sam but he just won't admit it and that maybe it's lessened since his Mom's death or gotten worse; either way. Maybe both? Bc now I could see his paranoia heightening from cops, betrayal, etc.

Sadly tho, this story is from YN POV

I fully understand wanting to relate to him but I feel like that can be hard to do bc from not only who I've known irl with psychosis and what I'm trying to educate myself on is everyone's symptoms and degrees of the symptoms are different. Plus, it's hard to do with YN being the POV and the only canon mental issues she has is PTSD, Anxiety and probably High Functioning Depression from what she's went through (Of course anyone is free to add in their own to personalize the experience while reading) and people thought she had psychosis from Billy and Stu purposely trying to make her doubt herself as well as others doubt her in Windsor. So, that makes it hard to show Billy's POV in detail.

I'm sure tho later on a short story will come along the way and I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me your experience with psychosis so I can add it into Billy's character. 🖤🖤🖤

What our dear protagonist lacks in overall extrovertedness, he makes up for in action. Surprise surprise, dates can either range from hanging out in the dorms and cooking a nice meal together. Or maybe going to the mall and heading to the arcade. Or basically wandering around until your legs hurt and your purchases range from new outfits to weird antiques from the antique shop.

However he really does treasure these little trinkets, because the memory of your laughter when you were given a certain item will forever be ingrained in his mind. It’s a comfort in the end too.

Date nights are focused on you and you only. He definitely sets a date where he knows you both are free so that there’s less likely of a chance for being interrupted. He definitely wouldn’t want his time with you to be wasted. Although seeing his small pout when it does happen is very cute.

You also gotta be keen on if he sees something he likes and wants. While Minato won’t exactly say it, his gaze lingers a bit longer than usual. But he ultimately won’t get it, because he wants to focus on you and also save up for when the group goes to Tartarus. So if you surprise him with whatever he had wanted, he’s so happy.

While he is slightly more reserved in comparison to Yu and Akira, Minato speaks through action. Whenever you two are walking together, he always has your hand in his, or keeping close by in some way. He likes to cling to you when it’s just you two, his head buried in the crook of your neck as you two nap tother, legs tangled up together. Or the small jokes he says loud enough for only you to hear, but they’re still so funny. Sometimes you’re asked if he’s really a good boyfriend, and you have to laugh off the doubt, because they don’t see the sides of him that you do.

My god. Yu would absolutely be the best at arranging dates and hangouts. I take no criticism. Like you guys could literally just be walking all around Inaba, or just sitting by the river bed and it could be one of the greatest times you’ve both had together. A romantic at heart, Yu would also be a bit cheesy in arranging dates.

He shows affection through communcating it. Whether it’s a new outfit or something, he’ll say that you look incredible or if you’ve studied for a hard exam, he’ll make sure you know how amazing you are for passing. Idk just anything that has you smiling from sweet compliments and other words of affirmation. A big sap, honestly you try and joke about it but he just earnestly says “Who wouldn’t be for you?” And you have to sit down and hide your face in your hands for a solid 5 minutes.

You also gotta be cool with Nanako. But then again she’s a cute kid and a sweetheart so idk why you wouldn’t be. Although he does get a little flustered if it’s you two watching her while Dojima-san is working late at the station and the old ladies coo over how you three look like a mini family yourselves. Which is kind of a common occurrence. And I feel like Yu would know pretty well if he sees a future with someone he’s with, and with you he does shhh

Date nights in Inaba are really fun and a good way to wind down, sometimes it’s wandering Junes and finding whatever the newly advertised, as seen on tv appliance is. Or other parts of the shopping district, where he can really let go and just have fun for himself. When not worrying about school work or the cases the Investigation Team is working on.

some spoilers here; but after Izanami is defeated and the year ends. When Yu has to leave Inaba it doesn’t mean that he won’t put his best efforts to keep up the relationship. If possible, video calls or just the occasional text too. And when he visits, while he does miss his friends, he’s especially antsy to see you too. And when you’re both together again, he refuses to leave your side.

Now, Akira can be described as this suave, casanova type character. But he’s also a giant dork and you know it, he knows it, the Phantom Thieves all know it, hell even Sojiro knows it. It doesn’t mean his attempts at flirting doesn’t get you blushing. And when he sees the flustered expression, it only motivates him to keep going. But turn the tables on him, and he’s putty in your hands. (And he looks very cute).

Because of the way you met, aka, at Shujin, where his reputation was basically over and done with before it even began, he has a lot of doubt and trust issues, what if someone dared you to speak to the “criminal” or something? While he won’t show these doubts out loud to his friends, it’s still something he thinks back on a lot. But when you defend him vehemently one day, he knows he was right to trust you.

A part of dating Akira, is eventually finding out who he is. Maybe trips to Mementos cause him to be late to dates or not even show up at all. You end up stood up more often then not once things begin to get really serious. From small time school teachers to the literal Yakuza (and eventually a candidate for Prime Minister, and a god), you don’t know where he is. And that becomes really stressful because then the doubt™️ sets in.

To make this less angsty and more funny, imagine you know from figuring it out. He’s suspiciously watching the news on the PT, and no offense to Ryuji, he’s not the most quiet. So he’s so nervous trying to tell you when you’re just “yeah I know, sorry for not telling you, I wasn’t sure if you wanted me to know.” and he’s just the surprised pikachu face.

As for date nights, the city is your oyster. I’d say the world but mans still currently has a criminal record so probably not yet. But he’s gonna take you wherever you want. Whether it’s a themed cafe, or just the streets of Shinjuku, as you take in all the sights from the bright places, he’s willing to do whatever for you. That includes facing off kids at the arcade for a stuffed plush you saw and admitted it was cute. He is a man on a mission. And you cannot stop him. So you both end up back at Leblanc at the end of the night carrying your plushies and eating some curry that Sojiro left warming for you. That even includes the Big Bang Burger challenge he will do it for you , even though you probably do laugh at his pain after but you still coo and praise his efforts.

After he goes back home, record clean and world hopefully peaceful. Virtual dates become a thing, either just sitting and talking while having dinner or something is nice. He still loves to say those cheesy pickup lines that had you hiding your flustered expression as you walked through the streets of Shibuya on call. You only hung up on him once but he quickly called back and was very pouty about it. You were forgiven though with the promise of giving many kisses when he visits.

- Plus you were really pretty and popular around school, and he’s probs the type to confess just so you can reject him just so he can move on 

- Until you said yes like wHAT I didn’t think I’d get this far

- 100% feels bad when practice time overlaps his own, but still does his best to fucking run mildly speed-walk to the girl’s gym after practice just so he can claim he was “on a light jog” to happen to run into you 

- “Light jog? You sound like a hyena.” “...Do you want to go home together or not?” 

- Comes to all your games when he can, which is often considering the girls either play before or after the boys depending on what school they’re at 

- Tanaka and Noya defintely call him a simp when he blushes every time you send a wink his way from on the court, blowing kisses and such just to mess with him 

- Finds out about your fanclub of boys the hard way- and blue-eyed baby becomes hella jealous when you offer a sweet wave in thanks for the support 

- like what are you doing look at him and him only 

- His deadly glare is enough to frighten your fanclub into sitting like they’re in church lmfao 

- Feels pride swell in his chest for every point you’re able to salvage for your team, and can’t help but think he’s the luckiest guy in school when you help your team deliver a solid win

- Intimidating love met you through walking into the gym off-practice time to see you practicing by your lonesome, working on your digs before his voice makes you jump 

- “This is the boy’s gym.” “Sorry! I heard you were uh, off today and I wanted to get away from-” 

- Raises a brow when you yelp at the familiar call of “Y/N-chan~? Where are you?” 

- literally wtf Wakatoshi just wanted to spike some balls on his off-day, but instead he’s facing a group of six to seven boys in search of you, bored expression on his face as he leans against the door of the entrance

- “Ushijima-san! Have you seen Y/N?” “...No.” as he glances at your obvious gestures of said word, sighing in relief when they leave 

- “Are they gone?” “I assume so.” 

- blinks once as you bow in thanks before gathering your things, asking you what you were doing before you awkwardly clear your throat 

- “I can find another place to practice-” “No. Stay.” 

- You find yourself agreeing after gaping at the offer, and eventually surprised when he offers to help you practice 

- “W-Won’t your spike like, kill me?” “Only if you let it.” “...Did the Ushijima just make a joke?” 

- Surprised at how well he lets his guard down around you, and can’t explain the feeling in his chest when you leave him your number to meet up to practice “only if he wants to”

- Definitely finds himself calling you up on your next off-day, and starts to notice you more and more when the girls play before the guys do, the stark difference in color of jerseys making you stand out to the spiker 

- BIG impressed with your performance, and clears his throat when you approach him afterwards giddily, grinning widely as you flex your win

- “All that practice paid off, no?” “...I like you.” 

- Remains indifferent as both you and his team all silent at the same time, and you attempt to laugh it off as a joke before you realize he’s not laughing 

- “...Wait, really?” “Would it be troublesome if I meant it?” “N-No...!” 

- Doesn’t spare a glance to your crying fanclub before leaning down to your height, staring at you dead-on as you turn into a blushing mess when he brushes some hair out of your face before nodding once

- “Good. Then I’ll be taking you out after I win this match.” 

- And you can bet your ass he won his match, feelings for you hot on his heels while a similar heat bloomed in your cheeks as your team teased you from the stands 

Akaashi

- He had heard of you before, but he certainly wasn’t expecting to meet you in the library, huddled behind an unpopular selection of books upon a bookcase as soon as he rounds the corner, a book on volleball techniques clenched in your hold

- Simply stares when your eyes widen at his form, laughing a tad sheepishly while whispering- 

- “This isn’t what it looks like.” “...Well, I sure hope it’s not.” 

- Goes to simply grab his book and go before a shout rings throughout the room 

- “Y/N-chan!” “sH this is a library!!” 

- Sweatdrops when you tug your shirt higher to shield your face, ducking your head down low as your “Rejects of the Beautiful Y/N” fanclub drop their voices to a whisper, but seem to be getting closer 

- Next thing you know, the tall stranger is standing in front of you, shielding you from anyone looking into the aisle as you simply blink in surprise, watching as he shrugs his jacket off before dropping it into your lap

- Hums as he reads his book, mumbling a low, “It has a hood.” 

- Steps to the side when you awkwardly shove his jacket on, slipping the hood over your head before rushing past him, nodding your head thanks with a light blush on your cheeks as his scent surrounds you 

- “Where can I come return this?” “The Volleyball Club after school.” 

- So when you make your awkward entry at the instructed time, you blanch when all of the Fukurodani boys seem to still, watching their setter jog up to you and accept his jacket back from you before chaos emerges 

- “wHAT AKAASHI’S THE ONE TO DATE Y/N-” “Why are you yelling.” 

- Feels the tickle of a smile on his lips as you become flustered, explaining that wasn’t the case before you run away, blush on your features after thanking him again with a bow of your head

- Tightens his grip on the ball in his hand as he watches you jog off, ignoring the barrage of questions from his teammates as the tickle of a smile becomes a full one, hidden behind the setter’s hand at how you lived up to the rumors: 

- cute and sweet indeed. 

- So imagine your surprise when he pops up at your next game, looking at you with a mild expression when you see him in the stands before he sees the pink hue light up your cheeks

- Already has his jacket off when you meet him after your win, and you shuffle nervously in place as the setter slips the material around your shoulders, ignoring your doe-eyed expression at what was happening

- “You don’t have to return it this time.” “Akaashi Keiji...right?” 

- “Hm. Seems like we both know of each other.” As he zips it up, and confirms his feelings for you when you don’t push him away, practically feeling the racing of your heart as the setter silently claims you as his own in front of everyone 

- “Shall I take you out to celebrate your win?” “...Out as in like a date?” 

- smirks a little at your bewildered expression before leaning back, mild expression making you feel like his eyes were boring into you as pretty setter boy shoves a hand in his jacket pocket, tugging you a little closer

- “It’s no library, but I think we can make do.” 

Iwaizumi

- The first time he saw you, it was to watch you play, his fist tightened in the collar of a leaning Oikawa’s shirt over the bar, who was rambling on and on about how perfect you were 

- Hardly focused on girls, especially since it seemed like every girl at Seijoh was interested in Oikawa- but as soon as you looked into the stands and locked eyes with him on accident, you both shared a blush at the fact that you had caught the spiker staring

- Can’t explain the thump in his chest when you offer a bright smile from your position on the sidelines before jogging back out onto the court

- “Nope, Iwa-chan, I called dibs.” “You have dibs on every fucking girl in the school.” 

- Gets taken off guard at his possessiveness over you 

- Notices you a lot more, especially being flirted with as you awkwardly laugh it off while trying to step away in the halls of Aoba Joshai, and it takes a lot of Iwa’s willpower to simply stroll on by in his usual I-only-care-about-volleyball nature 

- Until on a certain day, this one bastard got too handsy, and as soon as you let out a surprised squeal when said bastard tugs you into his chest by the waist- 

- Iwa has him up against the wall two seconds flat, dark eyes spinning dangerously as a part of him wondered what it was about you to make him act like this 

- “Beat it. Don’t touch women like that.” 

- He got that respect-women juice

- “Y-You were the one in the stands...” as you put a hand over your mouth at the tumbling of words as a smirk tugs at the ends of Iwa’s lips as he feels pride at the blush on your features

- so you remembered him. 

- “What is this- the fourth confession this week?” “You’ve been counting?” 

- sweatdrops at his mess up as you erupt into a fit of giggles that had his heart thumping a bit more than usual 

- “No. This is a public hallway.” “Mhm. Sure. Mr. I-pin-guys-against-the-walls-in-said-public-hallways.” 

- Rolls his eyes at your playful smile, but remains grateful when you seem to relax around him, and your next joke takes him off-guard-

- “What, do you wanna make it five?” 

- Finds himself leaning into you, a hand resting on the wall by your side as he eyes you seriously, watching you gulp as a satisfactory grin tugs at his lips

- “What if I said yes?” “I’d say...I don’t even know your name...Iwaizumi?” as you read off his nametag, Iwa leans in a little closer in the empty hallway, watching as you clench your fists and look away in embarrassment 

- “It would make all the others leave you alone.” “Hm. Tempting.” 

- Smirks when you find stability in your voice, a small smile making its’ way onto your face at how natural it felt with the boy you locked eyes with merely once

- “Then, Iwaizumi, would you like to be number five?” 

- “Number one would work better, but eh- five works too.” as he leans a little closer, breath mixing with yours at the proximity as you squeak, shutting your eyes tight as Iwa grins at your cuteness

- “Hm. Not yet, princess. Let’s take it one step at a time.” 

- So that’s how the ace grabbed your hand and tugged you along, heart swelled with you wishing he had closed the distance

- “Where are we going?” “Practice. Let’s see how well you can dig up my spikes, Ms. Popularity.”

Being that he's such a minor MCU character it's hard to find anyone with anything interesting to say about him. But he is an interesting character.

Can I interest you in my aroace headcanons (angsty version) (happier version)

He’s terrified of Angie, and this has nothing—well almost nothing—to do with the gam gam thing. She’s so frank and sees through his bullshit so effortlessly, his usual defences never work around her.

He’s not a morning person. Far from it. (He’s definitely one of those ‘don’t talk to me until I’ve had my third coffee’ people)

Probably played some posh-ish sports in uni. Idk if lacrosse is a thing in 1930s America, but definitely think a lacrosse kid in modern shorthand.

For all that he dreads going home for Christmas because of his overbearing father, he loves the holidays. The holiday atmosphere, the presents, the decorations, the food, the carollers, the soft chime of the bells—he loves them all.

He has some lovely sweaters that he wears at home—not that he has a lot of time to laze about. His favourite sweater is one made by his grandma; of course it is. It’s soft, it’s a nice, rich, navy blue, it’s very warm, perfect for a snow day in New York. He would even wear it out when he knows he won’t be seen.

(He wore it once for a quick grocery trip, only to run into, of all people, Peggy. Neither ever mentioned that incident again.)

For the amount he drinks (at least in fanon), he really can hold his liquor. When he’s not drinking to feel sorry for himself, he is a silly drunk. Eventually, when he becomes better friends with Peggy and Daniel, he lets his guard around them, giggling and laughing at the worst jokes. It’s nice.

I really like the idea of him as just, the walking embodiment of contradictions, always putting up a front in front of others, only allowing a very select handful in, and that extends to literally every facet in life. So say, if you ask anyone at the office they'd tell you he only drinks his coffee black with maybe one sugar. But outside of work, he doesn't really drink coffee much; if he does, he heaps cream and sugar into it by the spoonful. He only drinks it so that he can function in the morning, really.

(In a modern AU I'd imagine he's someone who orders those not-coffee coffees in Starbucks, like, a peppermint mocha that's honestly more syrup than actual caffeine.)

Post S2 headcanon

HE LIVES. This is just as much sentiments talking, as it is that from an analytical angle, him dying wouldn’t really add that much to the story had the narrative continued. It probably would say much more if he lives.

I presume his assailant in 2x10 is Michael Carter, and it is CRUCIAL to me that these two face off at some point. Jack has spent too much of S2 being like an annoying brother not to face off his literary foil. I also really, really need to see that parallel—both similar looking, both have done questionable things during the war. For so long we are led to believe that Michael is a good guy, but now he might be working for HYDRA; Jack has been shady the entire S2, seeming to be in the pocket of the Council of Nine, but now he seems to be good after all. I just really need that to come to a head.

In general I just really like people and characters who have 'off brand' traits, and Jack is really the perfect character for that. That's not to say everything he does is just a front—for instance, I think to some extent, he genuinely enjoys appearing put together and invincible at all times. It's not entirely a facade if you like it and choose to do it, right? But there are so many things about him that are hidden away.

It continues to do this when someone new holds the candle, generations later the og's are so small on the door you can't even see them

The front door to Casita never changes, it stays having them all there, they look the same (it doesn't age with them like their norm doors) and none of their future kids show up on it. It's a way for la casa to memorialize the fall and re-build of it

What there gifts are, are what make them happy (more detail in that)

Luisa's gift has a limit (she can't just pick up or crack a whole mountain)

Dolores and Mariano still have 5 kids despite it being a joke

Dolores and Mariano date for 3 ½ years before getting engaged (and are engaged for another ½ year)
