something I find really fun about Dream is how willing he is to grant wishes and answers in passing. Small things. You want some wine? ok. You showed up uninvited and wanna have dinner at my place? ok. You wanna know what I'm doing here? he'll tell you. You wanna halt our journey and take a nap? mmkay. You have a bunch of questions? He'll be cryptic as fuck but ok. You wanna talk to him on the plane? sure, it's not like he was gonna sleep.

Unless he has a specific reason not to go along he usually does (doesn't necessarily like it but still does) and I like that. It's like a mix of you're too insignificant for it to matter if I answer you or not and genuine care and curiosity about people. Very "this might as well happen" energy

I basically ended up taking a complete hiatus from tumblr for several months when my migraines got real bad last year. And then things, as things do, kept on happening. Bastards.

I haven't looked much at the tag yet and I still have to catch up with the first five? Chapters and relearn the ropes so to speak, but hopefully I'll see some familiar faces around this year, and new ones 👀

Last time I couldn't get to the end but what I did get through was a lot of fun and the best part was what everyone else was saying and drawing and discussing! That's what I missed the most, was talking and joking with everyone. Lotr is probably my Favorite Story, and to have this in-time community readthrough is such a treasure. this is something that i've been thinking about and is it true that andretti is a well known name in america, to the point where the avg person knows them more than bigger f1 names?

the thing is that it's people who are already motorsports fans that are saying that everyone knows who andretti are, and like. of course they would say that, because they're motosports fans. they would already know who andretti is, because andretti is a big name in american motorsports. my skepticism comes from whether or not someone who doesn't follow motorsports would've heard of andretti before and be more familiar with them than some of the more popular f1 drivers

the urge to change my name and make a new account to have a fresh clean slate is so big off and on lately djfjkl idk why

i would miss friends and mutuals though and followers i see in my activity feed so i won't do that but like. i kind of wish i could like. not be held down so much by how i feel ppl perceive me, i want to say things or do things that would be considered "out of character" bc i have a lot of shifts going on in brain rn (like things are shuffling around and being re-organized almost?) and i just want to be able to let myself exist without feeling like i need to be consistent fdsfjkl

idk if that makes sense. i probably won't be posting anything to do with that here until its more concrete and i can slowly shift towards that instead of the current state of being, but also i really wish i could share the cool things i'm realizing or piecing together or thinking about, but i just feel like it would be weird or cringe or whatever. but god i feel like this might be really healthy finally and i might be able to like,,, not be literally constantly running shame and suicide in the background of my brain, those might be able to shut down for a bit which would be so nice

I think one of the big reasons I'm so excited about things like Bad's head wound becoming visible or him using the tome that manifests souls or him talking to ppl like bagi about his immortality is because I'm SO SO EXCITED about other characters finding out about his lore. He has some of the most intricately built and interesting lore on the server, but it isn't well-known. I think a big factor of this is that Bad is SUPER SECRETIVE about his lore. And that makes sense, but it also leads to people not really realizing just how much he actually has going on. IDK, i kinda wanna see other characters curious, wondering what's up with him, investigating, etc. I think if more characters knew what was up with him, maybe more of the fandom would see the TRUE extent of what's going on with him and maybe appreciate his work even more. idk he's my little guy i wanna see ppl's reactions >w<

Hi! I'm loving the designs for your FMA cowboy AU, especially Al's! I was wondering, would he have any sort of speech impediment from his lower jaw being metal? It sounds like he still has his teeth, palettes, and tongue, but what about sounds that need both lips, like M, B, and P? Just curious if he'd struggle with those. Love your art!

initially what i had for Al was that it was just his jaw was replaced with some scarring along the right side of his head and neck. my initial drawings actually didn't incorporate any neck connection but the most recent times ive drawn it it's extended to the neck bc tbh that makes more sense to me, idk what i was thinking originally. theres no additional support for the automail jaw. what was i THINKING.

so a little more than half of al's jaw is actually missing. he's got automail for the right side of his jaw, a replacement for the TMJ and some jaw muscles, as well as extending a bit further down his neck for muscles that impact movement. the jaw that we actually see (that's similar to the armor in fma) is a cover for wiring protection, and it extends over to the other side of his face both for balance and for aesthetic purposes

al retains his upper lip and at least a portion of his lower lip. he's missing up to his lateral incisor on the right side of his lower jaw, and he still has his tongue. his jaw's range of motion isn't super extensive, and is also constrained due to scarring on his face

i think al would have similar issues that come with TMJ irritation/TMD. some ppl with tmd mention sounding like they're slurring or mumbling, as well as speaking slower to articulate better.

since he's still got a portion of his lower lip, he'd be able to make p, b, m, v, f sounds, but they're a little more whistle-y. same with s and z

his normal speaking voice would be pretty soft, hoarse, and a little wheezy. people mistake him for mumbling a lot. he tries to move his jaw as infrequently as possible, so it often sounds like he's speaking with his teeth together

this is something ive always been kind of curious about but a recent irl discussion has brought it up again.

so like. I was talking about the weird racism stuff with splinter (him being japanese and a rat and the whole history of that stuff) and i said that i personally thought it was less racist for him to have been a japanese guy who got turned into a rat because at least then he has like, a legitimate reason for the accent and the ties to the culture. If he's just a guys pet rat, that kind of makes sense- but also it's always felt to me like that was equating the animal with some innate racial characteristics. idk im not a race scholar...

i'm also not japanese, but I know that if there was a culturally black mutant monkey character, I would prefer for that monkey to have previously been a human. Because otherwise it feels, to me at least, like equating that animal to that ethnicity or culture inherently, since they were never really related to that culture and at most were exposed to it in ways they couldn't understand as an animal. which feels demeaning imo.

the white ppl i was talking to this about came around to my point of view, but they originally expressed the thought that it would be less racist to just have an actual rat mutate and just be a japanese rat, accent and all.

I've seen japanese and other asian tmnt fans express the idea that they feel like the human or the rat origin is less offensive, or that they feel one is more or less racist, so I'm not gonna say i think one is definitively more racist cuz to be honest they're both pretty bad and I've seen compelling arguments for both of them being the worse option.

and how asian people experience and think about the racism that affects them is way more important than how i think about it lol.

BUT! I am interested in what you guys think and I'm especially interested in if it breaks down differently between white and nonwhite people. I was considering splitting the vote even more and giving asian people their own options too but seeing as this was inspired by a discussion between a black person and two white people i feel like the point is more to see if this is a poc/white person split first and if so then maybe I'll put out another poll. if not and that was just a coincidence i'll prolly just leave it as it is.

The politics of attraction (attractiveness, desirability) are so fucking messy and I wish I'd seen more good writing explicitly talking about it.

Like how your body is gonna get treated is such a fucked, brutal lottery (and the extent to which there are true winners is dubious).

The pressures on us to try perform and change ourselves are fucked.

The selfie economy and more generally the kinds of social positions and interactions that are available to us or not based off our bodies: fucked.

But what the hell do we do about it?

There's a current that says we lean hard into non-conformity. Refuse to change ourselves in response to societal pressure. Lean into the positions that are reviled. But this is deeply naive and frankly plays out terribly for trans folks.

We can't separate our desires from societal pressures. (There is no prediscursive self). A hard line refusal to be influenced by societal pressure means refusing our own desires, and for lots of us is a recipe to be disphoric and miserable (and be unable to honestly engage with those feelings without feeling shame). Non-conformity as highest ideal only works for ppl who are already seen as solidly attractive and given the grace to transgress some norms with no more than minor sanctions.

I do fundamentally support bodymod. I don't think there's a moral failing in following your desires or going beyond that to reach a less shitty position within society.

There's the positivity approach. And lots of it just straightforwardly makes sense. Of course it's good to celebrate that which society detests, to push past shame, to try and create our own spaces that don't operate off of society's valuations, where we can.

But we can only ever find partial shelters from society's influence. And trying to make this into a full answer goes poorly. Inverting aesthetic hierarchies sucks (cuz aesthetic hierarchies suck). Simulating desires to meet (counter)cultural expectations.

Mostly i think partial answers is the best we can do. We can be kind with each other and support ppl who aren't trying to compete in the aesthetic ratrace. We can be a little louder about our desires when the go against the grain and a little quieter when they align with it, maybe.

Idk, I'm curious if y'all have thoughts. Often when this shit comes up there's a subtext of "ppl should obviously be doing better" but idk what ppl imagine that looking like.

Kevin: Not rn. He has dated one in the past but it didn't work out and it's likely he has this negative mindset of "my ex was like this so I'm afraid every person I date will be the same way". He may destroy a connection with people that want to date him out of fear of the unknown or being hurt again

Sunwoo: Sorta. I think he could date a foreigner but not seriously (not in the long-term). He may be the type to like noncommittal relationships or just knows better than to date clingy and codependent people, so I see he keeps the same energy whether he's dating a Korean or a foreigner. I think that the more people oppose him dating a foreigner, the more he'll fight to date a foreigner

Eric: Yes. (Idk if he has a mutable Venus but he has no ideal type). The good thing is Eric won't let society tell him who he should love or shame him into conformity, so he would publicly and seriously date a foreigner without being afraid of what ppl may think (bc he doesn't care). The bad thing is he is so wishy washy about what he wants not just romantically but out of life that he may ghost/ditch his partner (it wouldn't be bc his partner is a foreigner but bc of his lack of direction and his mental instability). Rn, he may have his eye on a foreigner.

Juyeon: Yes, he would. He doesn't let others/the public tell him who he should or should not date. I'm getting a vibe that someone older than him teaching him negative things about foreigners (for an example, saying "Foreigners are classless and promiscuous") but I don't think he took any of this persons teachings to heart. He's like " let me see that for myself" so he goes into relationships with foreigners open-minded and judgement free. The most influence this older person had on him is that he just makes sure to vet foreign partners before pursuing anything.

Hyunjae: Yes. The problem is he knows his family and friends will not approve so he may keep his foreign partner a secret (I heard "guilty pleasure" 😶). I'm definitely seeing a misogynistic and dictatorial father figure teaching/preaching all the wrong things to him about women. But Hyunjae is a curious soul and is attracted to the unconventional, so boogeyman stories told to him by his father won't scare him off of pursuing foreigners (that moon in Aquarius of his makes him want to rebel against society's rules). So overall, he would date a foreigner, it may give him a rush of excitement/adrenaline (like the high one gets doing something they think they shouldn't be doing)

Sangyeon: Yes. He wants a foreigner that's attractive, charming and simply a baddie. He may have a desire to be with a foreign celebrity or someone with some kind influence and power (could just be a person that has a lot of power over him, yall know how those Scorpios love their power imbalances). I do still think he wants to keep the relationship healthy and productive. He finds himself super attracted to foreigners so he definitely would date one.

Q: He would but not rn. He's still dealing with a heartbreak from an ex and he's just trying to remain single while keeping his options open. He wants to focus on building up his career as well so romance isn't exactly a priority but its not something he's completely putting off either. He's another one where I feel like the more society tells him he can't be with a foreigner the more he wants to.

Haknyeon: Yes. His heart is open to love and he doesn't mind courting and loving on a foreign partner. He may just be wary about seriously committing to anybody, likely bc he doesn't want a dating scandal to ruin what he's worked so hard to build. I'm kind of getting a vibe that he wouldn't hesitate to cut partners out of his life and he will choose his career over love.

Jacob: No. He cares what people say/think and he doesn't want his partner to get hurt by those that don't like interracial relationships or that are xenophobic. If he was to have a mixed kid he wouldn't want to stay in Korea to raise them. Its not like he himself is turned off by the idea of being with a foreigner it's just his fear/sensitivity of others being turned off by his relationship. I don't think he thinks he's strong enough to deal with the backlash, may see himself as too much of a coward to handle that kind of societal pressure. He's also quite introverted and isolated rn.

New: No. He has some fear of rejection and insecurities that block him from wanting to be with a foreigner (he'll never admit it though, he would just play it off as he's not interested/attracted to them). I see some tradition here as well, like wanting to follow a path his parents/grandparents did. He has some abandonment fears as well, scared his partner could leave anytime (he doesn't care for long distance relationships).

Younghoon: Nope, he views foreigners as more sexual beings than ppl you wife up. Like he would be interested in talking, hanging out, and being intimate with foreigners but he's not taking them seriously. He could also act more raunchy and sexual to them more so than he would if he was interacting with a Korean woman (being too aggressive and touchy). He's a player that's looking for fun, isn't taking anyone seriously especially foreigners.

Overall, I got a vibe from most members except New that they were attracted to the unconventional aspect of dating a foreigner.

so, way back when i was starting to get into furry porn, i recall seeing one or two artists that drew fluffy penises.. for whatever reason that stuck with me as i was starting to do my own porn art. i also just had a big preference for characters that had peens that followed their general fur color scheme, rather than just suddenly shifting to a more fleshy tone.

as far as kinks go, its pretty niche. you dont see it in the wild very often (much to my disappointment........), but apart from being an obvious kink thing, its also just kinda comfy to me. especially when you pair it with hyper and bigness, it becomes a soft fluffy friend you can just nuzzle and cuddle with!

Loft really loves woodcarving but he hasn’t been able to do it as much since he has tremors in his right hand now. he’s getting better with his left though! I think Slate really likes climbing. Like yeah he does it to get around but sometimes he just climbs giant cliffs for fun. Lots of active stuff like shield-surfing and sandseal racing! He treats riding horses as more of a hobby than a means of travel. He loves hearing stories from ppl a stables, if that counts. Game nights w the locals in Hateno. He grows different plants he finds in hyrule in his room in Hateno and Zelda does experiments with them when he’s not home lol.

right so i just finished everything now on netflix and i really wanted to share my unfiltered opinions on it and see what other ppl thought as well. here it goes!!

- i think my favorite characters were carli, becca and alex

- carly made for an impeccable love interest tbh

- icl i didn't love the main character as much as i thought i would, idk if that was the writing but sometimes i felt like they were trying too hard to make her relatable? it felt a bit forced

- also she was extremely selfish and though i understood why it still got jarring 😭

- i loved how they gave alex an episode !!! it was so moving to see things from his pov, 100% necessary

- god knows they weren't meant to be together but alison deserved way better tbh

- as for couples i was fond of becca/cam and will/theo. i also rly liked will's lil storyline at the end. as someone who's been the "funny friend" i could definitely relate

- carli and mia's chemistry was insane and if the show does get renewed i'm curious to see how things will be for them in the future. for now it's clear that carli's been portrayed/seen as more of a fantasy so it'd be nice to actually get to know more about her like really

- also i wish we'd seen more of carli and will doing theater kid stuff

- one thing i really loved abt the show was the wardrobe !!! especially becca's like i need all her clothes immediately

- i know euphoria was basically a cultural reset in media so it's inevitably rubbed off on other shows but sometimes it did seem like they were trying to replicate it a bit too much, esp the cinematography/music. it felt unoriginal

- which is a shame cause i think that distracted me at times (joined w the whole awkward/quirky mc). still, this is a very important story and i'm glad they told it

we all know netflix so i don't know if we're gonna be able to see these characters again but i look forward to seeing how the show levels up if we do. i think it has great potential. i wanna hear what u thought as well so share it below if u feel like it !!! <3

I know that you believe that supporting the Palestinians is anti-semitic but if you learned about these topics you would know. Zionism is inherently anti-semitic itself, Zionism is a political philosophy that was first created in the 1600s by anti-Semitic Christians who believed Jews from all over the world should be expelled and gathered in one place. And then Theodor Herzl, an atheist, adopted Zionism to find a "suitable country" to colonize, and several countries were suggested: Uganda, Argentina, Cyprus, and Madagascar. But with Jews' rejection and with the support of Western politicians, Zionism secured their interests in the resources of the Middle East, thus Palestine.

Maybe if you learned what it was like to see through the eyes of people like Bisan Owda, Wael Al-Dahdouh, Motaz Azaiza, Hind Khoudary, or maybe even the six year old Hind Rajab who died after traveling through a "Safe Zone" with her family and being stuck in a car with their bodies for 12 days.

This is not a war. This is a genocide. I'm not asking you to change overnight, but knowing the full truth of what Israel is doing under the same excuses that you're telling yourself will help you understand what's really going on.

Calling it genocide is problematic in many ways. Including for the people who suffer from this war.

Calling it genocide allows the the activism to be mostly anti-Israel, instead of pro-palestine.

For example, focusing the efforts on "stopping Israel" and "Israel is bad" and "boycott Israel", instead of "how do we save lives" and "why Egypt not opening the borders".

Less "ceasefire now!" (Though a good target) And "defund Israel!"

More "release the hostages and let humanitarian aid in".

(not to mention that all those efforts, for some reason, never go to other places and other people who suffer. Never even go to Palestinian in refugees camps - in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria.)
