Danny Phantom Neutral Grounds

When the portal first opened, Danny didn't stay on the living side, but with the energy expelled by the activation and his death, his memories formed an exact replica of Amity Park in the Infinite Realms to be his lair.

For a while it stayed a literal ghost town on the other side, until stronger ghosts sensed the new lair and came to challenge Danny for it . After a few times beating off stronger and stronger ghosts, weaker ghosts came seeking sanctuary and setting up their homes in the empty town.

Eventually though, the mirrored existence of identical towns on both sides of the veil starts to pull at the fabric of reality, turning what was just a thin spot into a swath of space peppered in holes. The living take seemingly turns and detours only to find themselves lost on the other side, and ghosts just taking a leisurely stroll end up lost in the land of the living.

As more and more of Amity Park seems to merge with its Infinite Realms counterpart, Danny finds himself caught between both worlds and forced to play diplomat for both the ghosts and humans as the only halfa in the area.

Between shows of force and government negotiations, Danny is eventually able to set up a dimensional neutral ground where the living and dead can coexist in an odd, labyrinthine town.

I've some catching up to do 🏃‍♂️

I basically ended up taking a complete hiatus from tumblr for several months when my migraines got real bad last year. And then things, as things do, kept on happening. Bastards.

I haven't looked much at the tag yet and I still have to catch up with the first five? Chapters and relearn the ropes so to speak, but hopefully I'll see some familiar faces around this year, and new ones 👀

Last time I couldn't get to the end but what I did get through was a lot of fun and the best part was what everyone else was saying and drawing and discussing! That's what I missed the most, was talking and joking with everyone. Lotr is probably my Favorite Story, and to have this in-time community readthrough is such a treasure. As usual, three cheers for @sindar-princeling for organizing. It's a hell of a feat 😁
