Time Is All We Have

A Doctor Who x Rise of the TMNT Xover interest check/story prologue because i'm losing all control of my life lmao

Quick mini-primer for where in both timelines we are:

Non-teetle fixaters, you can just watch the first few minutes of the Rise movie. Bad future timeline shenanigans wahoo! You should probably also get a feel for the regular present timeline from the show if you can, though we won't be directly interacting with it for a quite a bit. Because Reasons. :)

Non-Who fixaters, we're rolling with David Tennant Doctor The First and the companion named Martha Jones. The name similarity to the Casey Joneses makes me giggle, especially now that I've watched through the (REDACTED) episodes where she ends up with some more Caseys parallels. Those haven't happened yet for her though lmao. Frankly, she's only had a few episodes'-worth of adventures with the Doctor by this point. :)

anyway. shoutout to my brother purpletango for having this idea. i believe what i hurriedly jotted down in my notepad app went like this:

the rise movie begins, mikey gets ready to send junior back in time- -and something goes wrong. welp, the gateway's there now. may as well use it. junior gets yeeted through (and my brain is now adding the idea of leo realizing something's up and going with him) and junior (and maybe leo) land…in the TARDIS. now they gotta get back to earth (hoping they're at least in the right dimension) to find the key and stop the krang. NO PRESSURE LMFAO

with a lil tweaking to the premise that just sorta happened as i was writing, i'm now at 26k words of combined fic and notes. it has been 2.5 weeks. i am nowhere near done. help lmao

gonna be doing something a bit funky with the tardis here just to get the ball rolling. idk if it's a canon thing that can happen but if it's not then shshshshshshsh just pretend with me. take my hand

Almost exactly twelve hours prior to the moment he died, when the rest of what remained of the Resistance had been asleep and it had only been the turtles awake to keep watch, Michelangelo had looked to his big brother and said, "We can't beat them, can we?"

Last night, Leonardo had swallowed and given a slight shake of his head. "We can't."

"They've even stolen the night sky from us somehow," Michelangelo had said, lifting his gaze to the cloudless, crimson sky. "Look, there's no stars anymore."

"When did that happen?" Leonardo had asked under his breath. "We still had at least a handful last I checked…"

"Sometime since the last time we had enough peace and quiet at night to actually look up. I'd say…in the past few weeks?" Michelangelo had suggested.

There had been silence for a long moment after that, broken only by the quiet, deep breathing of the few who were left, as well as the shifting of Michelangelo's cloak as he scooted a bit closer to his brother.

Between the two of them, Leonardo and Michelangelo had enough organic fingers and toes to count everyone else who'd survived the past twenty-odd years. Then again, with only two toes on each foot, three fingers on each hand, and three organic hands left to use…well. Less than twenty wasn't exactly an army.

Casey had shifted in his sleep, eventually, mumbling something incoherent the way his mother always had.

Leonardo had swallowed.

Michelangelo had pulled his gaze back down to Earth and looked at him.

"The Krang won't give us the mercy of dying," Leonardo had said grimly. "Not if they can help it."

"They won't," Michelangelo had agreed.

"The others chose to fight with us. Humans, yokai, and mutants. Even Todd. Never would've expected him of all yokai to be so kickass, back in the day. But…this is all Casey's ever known," Leonardo had continued.

"It is."

There had been a shifting in the shadows off in the distance, then, and while it had turned out to be easily taken care of, it had still put a pause on the brothers' conversation for a bit.

When they'd gotten back, but before they'd woken the others and gotten moving again, Leonardo had nailed Michelangelo with a solemn look. "We can't avoid this forever, but Casey…"

"I know you're not talking about that thing we talked about never talking about," Michelangelo had said, raising the ridges of his brows for a deadpan look and a wry smile.

Leonardo had jabbed an elbow into his plastron with a thick snicker…but he hadn't denied it.

Michelangelo had sobered up, then. "Oh."

"Do you think you can do it?" Leonardo had asked as he'd knelt to shake April awake, pausing before he did to meet Michelangelo's eyes.

"I know I can," Michelangelo had said, remaining quiet about how 'it' would very likely be the end of him.

They'd both already known as much.

"When?"

"I-I don't know. When things look bleakest," Leonardo had tried. "If it comes down to us. If it's just you and somebody else. If…if it's just you."

Michelangelo had nodded, then put a hand on his brother's carapace. "The Krang'll get front-row seats to Earth's very own home-grown sun. And that's a Doctor Delicate Touch guarantee."

"Wouldn't expect anything less, little man," Leonardo had chuckled. "Give 'em a light show that'll have 'em running scared."

"I can fly, Leo. And 'little man' was always Raph's thing," Michelangelo had snickered, reaching down to wake Casey. "Hey, Casey, we gotta get moving. Mind waking up and reminding your sensei that I win all height contests forever, no take-backs?"

The noise had begun rousing the others, and Leonardo had scoffed. "Turning my own student against me, Mikey? Low blow."

"Nah," April had said from where she lay. "This is a low blow."

She had snapped an arm out to smack Leonardo's shin, and the rest of the survivors had woken to quiet laughter.

It had been nice.

The last moment of calm within the storm.

In the present, Michelangelo winced as the mystic energies swirling through him reached a crescendo, but still pushed further, digging his fingers into the fabric of reality and wrenching it apart.

With Leonardo wounded, everyone else outnumbered, and Krang closing in on all sides, it was definitely pretty bleak.

There was no better time to make a time gateway than when there was no time left, after all.

His heart pounded in his tympana, loudly enough he almost could have sworn it echoed, a thud-thud-thud-thud that wanted to shake him to the core.

For a moment, with the Krang bearing down on him, his brother, and his nephew, it felt like he was losing his grip.

Casey's voice managed to overpower the thud-thud-thud-thud: "Master Michelangelo, no! You're gonna-!"

He knew.

How could he not, with light cracking his skin and his scales into little flakes of dust on the wind?

But Casey…he was the future.

The best of all of them.

As long as Casey would be okay, Michelangelo could do anything. Would do anything.

He turned his head back over his shoulder for one last look.

Casey looked horrified.

Leonardo looked resigned.

There was no one else left.

(He didn't want to go.)

Michelangelo smiled and gave his family a cheeky little wink, then turned his attention to the time gateway in front of him, threw his arms out to his sides with one last heave-!

-and like Earth's very own home-grown supernova, like the very last star in the universe, he imploded into golden light.

Leonardo felt himself shatter inside as Mikey disintegrated and the time gate stabilized, but the Krang were still closing in.

"Casey, when you're done saving the world, do me a favor," he said, putting a hand on the kid's shoulder.

Casey looked up at him with wide eyes. "Sensei, don't-!"

Leonardo just smiled sadly and shifted his grip from comforting to more of a ready to throw.

He ignored the fire in his side and the trickle of blood down his plastron as he hurled Casey into the gateway. "Grab a slice-!"

"NO!"

Casey's scream was the only warning Leonardo had before the wrist-strapped grapple (standard issue, at least before Donnie had gone out with a bang) streaked back out of the portal, latched onto Leonardo's good shoulder, and yanked him off his feet.

"Whoawhoawhoawhoawhoa-!"

The deafening thrum of a Krang laser and a flash of heat at his back told Leonardo exactly how he should have died, but the sensations vanished just as quickly as they'd appeared, leaving only the golden light of Michelangelo's ninpo and the silhouette a few yards away that told Leonardo where Casey was.

Leo almost let himself go limp in the rushing mass of energy as it faded from golden-orange to something more bluish-gray.

Almost.

Instead, however, he grit his teeth against the way his wound flared up and started swimming for Casey.

The light around them grew brighter with no signs of stopping.

By the time Leo reached the kid, he had to screw his eyes shut to avoid going blind.

He managed to grab Casey's hand, then wrap himself protectively around him-

-and then some kind of metal grating slammed against his carapace, his head snapped back, and he knew only darkness.

The Doctor blinked at the sudden sound of beeping. "Oh? That doesn't sound right."

"Doctor? What is it?" asked Martha.

"I'm getting an alert," said he, darting over to one of the TARDIS' monitors for a look. "An alert that there's a lifeform catapulting through the timestream almost completely unprotected- two! Two lifeforms!"

Martha blinked. "What? How did that happen?"

"I don't know, but if we want to find out, we'd best get them onboard before whatever shielding they do have is eroded away." The Doctor studied the monitor for a moment more, then slid around the console and started throwing the appropriate levers and flicking the appropriate switches. "I need to focus on getting close- would you mind peeking out the doors to make sure my aim isn't off?"

"On it!"

The Doctor grinned, then turned his focus back to steering. "Aaalright then! They ought to be coming up just ahead, maybe a smidge to our left-!"

"I see them!" Martha called. "One of them- one looks human!"

The Doctor blinked, then looked up. "Only the one?"

Martha nodded, not tearing her eyes from the window. "The other looks almost like a turtle! Except, well, it's person-sized!"

"Curiouser and curiouser," the Doctor mused. Then, looking back down at the console, "Well, I think the simplest course of action would be to just…scoop them up!"

Martha glanced his way in confusion. "What, just open the door and grab 'em?"

"Exactly. You'll want to be quick and precise," the Doctor recommended. "Good to know we're on the same page."

After a moment to process what he'd said, Martha nodded slowly. "…right."

The Doctor carefully piloted the TARDIS close, and as he watched the energy readings of the two lifeforms get close enough, he heard Martha open the door, then yelp in surprise as something hard hit the metal flooring with a clang.

"Sensei?!" squawked the thick and emotional voice of a pubescent human boy.

"Oh, my," said the Doctor, skirting the edge of the console as he jogged over for a look.

Immediately, he could tell that whatever the circumstances were that had led to the two strangers being catapulted into the timestream, they had not been pretty. Between the apocalyptic fashion and weaponry, the fact that the turtle had seemingly been curled around the boy until losing consciousness, and the sight of tear tracks on the boy's face…well, a billboard would have been less obvious.

The boy glanced between the Doctor and Martha, wide eyes quickly shifting into suspicion as he slid off "Sensei's" plastron and placed himself between the turtle and the Doctor. "Who are you? What do you want with us? Are you with the Krang?"

Huh. He sounded American.

"Krang?" asked Martha, turning to him. "Doctor, what's a Krang?"

The Doctor frowned, mulling the word over. "Krang? Krang, Krang, KrangKrangKrang… Can't say I recognize the name. Bit of a shocker, really, and somewhat worrisome."

The boy's face spasmed, confusion clearly welling up, but the door chose to remind them all that it was still open by letting a tannish cloak drift through and land next to the two newcomers.

The sight of the cloak made the boy's eyes moisten further.

Oh, dear.

"Martha, could you get the door?" asked the Doctor, shifting his voice into something a little softer as he knelt next to the two strangers.

"Oh, uh- you got it."

As Martha did exactly that, the Doctor met the boy's eyes. "I'm the Doctor. Behind you is Martha, and this is the TARDIS. I don't know what it is you're running from, whatever this 'Krang' business is, but I promise you, you're safe here."

The boy's suspicion slowly lessened, the tension in his shoulders loosening some- though, notably, nowhere near completely. "And…what's a tardis?"

"My spaceship," said the Doctor modestly. "'S how I get around. What I want to know is, how did a humanoid teenager and a turtleman with a robotic arm end up hurtling through the timestream all on their lonesome?"

At that, the boy's gaze flickered to the cloak on the ground, and his jaw hardened in that way jaws tended to do when the only other option was to sob.

"…I see," said the Doctor quietly. "While I'd like to know the specifics, pushing this sort of thing never really seems to work out well. So I won't."

"You-" The boy's voice cracked, and he tried again. "You said you were a doctor?"

"The Doctor," corrected he.

"Though I've been training as one for quite some time, myself!" Martha reminded.

The boy visibly warred with himself for a moment, then grit his teeth and pulled slightly away from the turtle's side, revealing a nasty gash that had gone clean through his shell. "Help him. Please."

Martha gasped. "Oh, God-!"

The Doctor's eyes flew wide, but then he nodded firmly. "We'll do everything we can."

i felt compelled to talk about these two because idk my brain loves them. but yeah heres Rinaya and Fenlen parents of my Inquisitor Adahlen Lavellan.

Their backstory is sorta convoluted and i dont have it all mapped out but so far what i have is-

They grew up in the lavellan clan together were basically childhood sweethearts and fell in love. Both hunters, Rin likes arrows Fen likes blades.

Rinaya is extremely rambunctious, impulsive, and kind of an asshole sometimes <3 while Fenlen is quiet, careful, and reserved usually. They love to hunt together. Fenlen tries to get her to sit still and learn elven history but he ends up reading aloud to her while she lovingly harasses him or does target practice.

The two of em tried to have a baby together for a while buttt it wasnt happening. Fenlen gets killed on a hunt she just happened not to go on for once and she’s utterly ruined over it. She starts trying to research demons and blood magic and goes a little crazy over it. Keeper Deshanna sends her with some other members of the clan that were going to visit the kirkwall alienage to keep her mind off of things hopefully…lol.

Surprise! She finds a despair demon and begs it for Fenlen back and the demons like “lol no but i can give you a child, you guys wanted one of those right” and shes like “yes please please give me a child thats just like him, it will be made from us right?” n the demons like “yup but youre totally gonna die later” and shes like “whatever do it”. One of her best friends tries to convince her not to, he dies coz demon gets annoyed. Eventually she returns with like a month to go on her pregnancy, people are really confused. Shes extremely sick and thin and kinda losing it a bit but is so excited for her baby. some thought she got pregnant by some rando and some were suspicious coz of the death of her friend and things said by others who went with her. She gives birth to Adahlen and dies but not before giving her kisses and a name. As a last sorta fuck you from the demon the baby looks almost exactly like herself, but she says she can feel that she will be like Fen in her heart. Adahlen has super red hair and eyes and the circumstances around the whole thing made some clan members suspicious and weary, but Keeper Deshanna raises her personally. SO UH YEAH… poor babies i love em.

born as the youngest of two boys in a middle class family on feb 9, 2001 - aka he’s a twenty-one year old aquarius! ummm his brother is 6 years older & was always the more outgoing & ambitious of the two

has had anxiety since he was very young but didn’t get diagnosed until later in life, so there were a lot of questions regarding him? why he never played with the other kids, why he was so quiet, why he got so flustered/upset over teachers simply asking him questions in class when they KNEW he had the answer, etc

stuck to himself, got very “comfortable” in solitude tho i would still say he did want to be close to other people, but didn’t know where to start

super intelligent. didn’t do much aside from read & study, so he was always at the top of his class, made perfect grades. the people in his life expected really great things from him, often saying his brain was their ticket to better days - if he could work with his brain instead of his hands, he’d be golden

anyway! he was a mama’s boy, spent a lot of time with her & she always made him feel more normal abt himself or whatever...

lost his mom when he was around ~13, retreated even further into his shell and his grades started slipping. never really came back up

he did sorta cope by fucking around with a guitar she’d left behind and this was the beginning of his love for music ^^^

ummm fast forward! he started making his own music, built up a small following on tiktok under the username “bugluvr3000″ where he tease/s/d snippets of songs he was working on & posted covers - not super active on tt right now because he’s trying to focus on “real life” and take a break from sns... has taken to busking locally tho!

he hardly graduated high school tbh so his family kinda thought he burnt out and that he wouldn’t get into college but he’s currently enrolled in [university tbd, not a good school really so no biggie] as a biology student. not suuuuper passionate abt education, really just went because he felt like he had to and because he knows he can’t count on music to pay his bills - w his current career path, he’s aiming to be an entomologist (bug scientist)

still pretty nervous & introverted, but he’s in a healthy, committed relationship that has helped him feel more grounded / confident and he’s working on feeling capable as an individual too! therapy every other thursday y’all

if anyone’s curious abt his music, i’m drawing reference from goopy & boyhood! he des experiment w his sound quite a bit in private, has many many many demos on his laptop that will never see the light of day because they’re underpolished and overplayed but idk i think he’s really trying to find his niche

his anxiety is a big part of the reason why his music hasn’t actually taken off yet - he does busk & he occasionally posts his songs online, but when he starts doubting himself, he goes through “dry spells” where he won’t perform and he deletes most of his stuff. insecurity holds him back for suurrre but also i mean it’s not like he’s the next justin bieber or anything

works part-time jobs here & there to keep the bills paid. gravitates towards oddball jobs like costumed mascot work, setting pins at bowling alleys, cleaning rollerskating rinks - anything that’s to-the-point and not super social. can’t hold a job, has gone through 37 job interviews (and counting) and still gets nervous every time.

working on being more social. goes to parties/goes clubbing on occasion but 9/10 times he gets overwhelmed and has a breakdown in the bathroom so yknow it’s really just self-sabotage at this point!?!?!?

There aren't enough fics of Luz and Lilith bonding, and this is one of the BEST ones. Lilith needs more healthy relationships, and in my opinion, building an aunt-niece relationship with Luz is a great place to start! But I can also be really cold, and will explode/get defensive if I’m pushed pass my limits. And one other person who I’d probably stupidly fall for is Kirishima? 1. take a deep breath before you do anything. just sit still, maybe in a quiet space. shut your eyes, breathe in for a few seconds, hold for about 2, and then breath out slowly. try not to think about anything if you can. if you can't shut off your brain, that's okay too - it doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. all that matters if the effort you're putting in!

2. if you're just feelin kinda sluggish, sit outside for a few mins. bring some water or your favorite drink and snack, try not to be on your phone during this time. allow yourself to just be present and admire the sky, birds, and anything else you see around.

3. for the intrusive thoughts, whenever you're ready to face them, ask yourself if what you're thinking is true. for example say i tell myself "i haven't accomplished anything". that statement isn't true bc i graduated hs, got my associate's degree, and did so many other things that i'm proud of.

4. sometimes, excuse my language, you just have to get up and shake your ass lol. idk if you like dance but if you blast the most high energy song you can think of {like smthn by lady gaga for instance} and try to dance, you will laugh. bc i promise you'll stand in the middle of your room with noodle arms, pouting and then you'll actually start dancing bc that song is your jam!!

5. idk if this will help depending on the issue but sometimes cleaning your space can help. so if you clean your room or maybe reorganize some stuff you've been putting off it may help. this isn't just physical either. sometimes you have to delete apps from your phone or do a social detox: unfollow ppl to fine tune your feed, that sorta thing.

6. depending on the issue, you may just have to talk it out with the other person if it involves them. confronting ppl head on can be scary but sometimes it's the only way to get through smthn. if you're too anxious about it maybe tell a friend who can be there to support you. if and when you do talk to the other person, know that the situation might not go the way you think and accept that it will be okay regardless. life always goes on and you shouldn't stop living bc of someone else or what they did and didn't do. you've got to realize that you're enough and you shouldn't have to prove yourself to anyone.

tahereh mafi if you ever see this i’m so sorry and i love your books

I really hate to do this and I’ve been putting it off but I’m honestly disappointed in imagine me. It had it’s good moments don’t get me wrong but the progression and the end didn’t feel like the end? I mean they’ve built up the reestablishment so much, and the ending was just a disappointment. I had this whole theory that the reestablishment had planned on putting Emmaline into Warner’s body, I mean why else would Anderson at the end of Defy me talk to Warner about how he was strong enough for something? Instead, Anderson laughs off the idea when warner wants to sacrifice himself, steals Ella, takes away her memories and makes her into his lil slave that is creepy because Juliette is attracted to him.

If I had written the last book, Emmaline wouldn’t have messed with Ella’s mind because Ella is Emmaline’s only hope and her sister and instead they take a small group to go steal Emmaline away or kill her. They go back to oceania but find out the reestablishment took Emmaline to a different continent, and during their failed attempt at rescuing her, Warner gets taken because he had separated from the group to do something. Ella was the one to start going quiet, and it scares Kenji.

Warner and Emmaline are in Nazeera’s city, and Nazeera knows this because of how closely her father was working on this. She, Ella, Kenji, Stephan, and Haider go. Haider can’t stop going on about he’s saving his best friend, and Stephan can’t stop telling them all how dangerously stupid the plan is considering there is none. A day after they make it to the same city and hide out, Ella abandons them all to go find Warner. Kenji was with Nazeera and she showed him around the city and good places to disappear at (her favorite places) and when they get back she’s gone and he’s not surprised but pissed.

This whole time they’ve been wearing Emmaline down to get her brain level down to make the transfer and they’ve been preparing Warner’s body for it too. While he’s been going through surgeries, he sees Adam and they’re thrown in the same cell because together their powers are utterly useless, and they get some brotherly development. Adam starts to finally understand Warner, and when Anderson goes to take Warner away to have his body switched, Adam turns Anderson’s power off. Warner realizes he can feel this because his energy is turned off, and Warner kills Anderson in some interesting way idk. Warner and Adam start to run but Ibrahim kills Adam, shoots him right beside Warner. Warner tries to kill Ibrahim but Ella’s dad sedates him with a tranq.

Warner is unconscious, and they’re trying to make the transfer because Ella is killing her way through the facility thanks to Emmaline and her powers obviously. Kenji and Nazeera hear about it because the city goes on lockdown, and they bring the four of them to go help Ella. Ella finds Warner, but she thinks no one is with him and Emmaline, and Emmaline warns her to stay back. Her father comes out of hiding, holds a gun at her but he’s shaking cause he knows it won’t work and he’s scared of her. Emmaline warns her that someone is behind her, Ella mortally injures Ibrahim by like choking him and tossing him across the room. Warner starts to wake up as the transfer is starting to happen and he’s in a lot of pain, and Ella threatens her father to make it stop. He refuses at first, believing someone would carry on his work and if Ella wanted it to stop she would have to kill him so it would be fair that she’d have to without him as he had to live without her mother. Ella asks what if she killed Emmaline, and he goes quiet before he starts trying to guilt her into not killing Emmaline but Emmaline is begging her to.

Ella tosses her father away and puts him unconscious. She turns on her touch killing power and kills Emmaline while showing her every one of her favorite memories with her, and she cries but Emmaline thanks her. When Emmaline dies, Warner goes quiet and Ella thinks for a second maybe they were connected in some way and she killed them both but he is okay. He stands up and kinda weakly goes over to her and they kiss and fussy reunion, but boom Ella’s dad says sike I’m still alive and claims he’s not letting them walk out of there alive because he hates Ella for killing his wife. He shows them he has a button that will send the city to the ground, because it turns Ella basically into that atom bomb and as he’s about to press it Nazeera while flying plucks it out of his hand, and Kenji punches him over and over again because Ella told him what he had done to her.

Nazeera and Haider see their father, and go quiet but they know it was what had to happen, and they give him words of peace as he dies. The four were all hurt because they had been keeping soldiers from interfering with Ella and Warner, and they all sorta just limped out of the building. They see the normal sky for the first time and Haider and Kenji cry, even though Kenji hides it very well.

Ella and Warner establish a base where they and the people they trust work to destroy what’s left of the reestablishment. They work slowly as they tear away leaders and help the people recuperate so they can establish their own, it doesn’t show this much but the epilogue shows them coming back from one of these missions almost late for their own wedding. (You can’t tell me they wouldn’t be.) It ends on Ella seeing Warner at the end of the isle and flashes back and forth to a time when they had played wedding as children and to their own real wedding, ending on I do.

Anyway yeah, that’s how I would’ve written it and I’m not Tahereh so maybe it’s uncalled for for me to try to claim that’s not how it should have went. But the whole time it felt like some bizarre fanfiction, with the andersette thing and warner moving back in his character development and the warner fanclub (though that I am very glad exists) but the little girl being killed and Juliette sees Adam, and then he never gets brought up again? I hate the guy trust me I do but how you gonna bring up his sacrifice for his brother like that and not use him but once to test Juliette’s memory? He was stupid doing it but it’s like Tahereh set up so many plot twists and lost inspiration and the book was too big so she cut out half of it.

i have invented a new gender: gendercomposite, or compound gender, name is wip lol. the idea is like, where genderfluid is moving between 2 or more genders, gendercomposite is like, experiencing multiple genders simultaneously? im just like. working on this as a label i might end up using. bc ive been thinking a Lot about how i dont experience like, being a woman, in the same way other ppl do, particularly cis women. and i feel like im like, idk. its weird bc. sometimes i feel very strongly that im a bit nonbinary, but when i actually consider calling myself nonbinary my brain goes all staticky and painful. i wonder if that has something to do with like, fighting so hard to be seen as a woman and to be allowed to transition and like. being misgendered so much by my family. i probably have trauma around that. i get staticky sometimes when learning new pronouns which is something im deeply ashamed of, but i think thats also bc i had to fight so hard to be called by the right pronouns and my brain is kinda scrambled about that stuff. im practicing rly hard to get over that tho. and i have like, moments of lucidity where the trauma isnt in the way, and i like, Get It. like. it/its pronouns are rly cute and neat and if i wasnt she/her id consider being it/its. but i also do refer to myself as like, we, a lot. i used to do that a lot in like, 2018 too, then my DID reared its head, and then after 6 months or so it went quiet again and my alters just sorta stay in the back of my head hibernating. cant call them anymore but they are still there. i can feel them when i reach out sometimes. idk why ive started calling myself we and referring to myself in the third person again lately. thinking about this stuff makes me staticky................. blugh. also my gender is lesbian.

2. What is your favorite color? 

I love a lot of colors, but yellow has emerged as my absolute favorite as of the last few years. I’ve even got it outlining two of my Freddie tattoos now 💛💛

7. What do you enjoy daydreaming about most?

Ooh, there’s a lot for this one too lol. I really like daydreaming about traveling with friends and like, versions of life that aren’t really possible but that it would be cool if they ever were? If that makes sense? Like the whole time I’m daydreaming about the latter I know that it isn’t realistic, but some days that’s what gets me through anyways. They aren’t even idealized versions of a could be life, bad or difficult stuff still happens in them, but I always have friends and found family who support me and help me through it in these daydreams. Which probably Says Something I should tackle in therapy, but for now...c’est la vie lol.

 The traveling with friends thing too is good for rough days; in my head I’ve been all over the world! Be nice if I could make it a reality, but this works for now, though man if money and work were no object, I’d be gathering my friends and going e v e r y w h e r e with them.

I can’t name exactly what about it elicits the feeling exactly, but it always lets my brain sorta...blank out, for a bit, and just focus on the song and relax. Which is nice, considering my brain isn’t quiet very often or usually for much time at once (I’d liken it to like five talk radio stations and seven other music heavy radio stations playing at once, plus the above daydreams interspersed most days. My therapist says it’s an Asperger’s/ASD thing to some degree, I guess??? Idk all about that since I’m no clinician, but it can be Very Loud and Very Overwhelming some days) and so it’s wonderful to have a moment where the rest of my brain just...goes quiet, for a little while and I can float in whatever feeling the music is giving me. 

13. What’s your ideal summer aesthetic?

This makes ppl giggle because I can’t swim, (and tbh that does make this funny), but being near the sea and being able to relax, with no worries or responsibilities. Like, not even a tropical coast, just a warmer area with spots near an ocean or even a bigger river where one can sit on the sand for hours (under an umbrella because I sunburn more the older I get sadly) and just read and sleep safely. That, and bright soft airy clothes to wear to said beach area, that somehow get minimal sand in or on them and never get too warm while sitting out. Not a super realistic aesthetic, but like even though I’m in a landlocked state with few bodies of water, when I think about summer starting this is always what I think of, and why I buy clothes that could easily fit this aesthetic, even if I never get to any beaches anywhere.
