The First Meeting ||Harry Potter
Pairing: Harry Potter x You
Tumblr media
Summary: Your life takes a 360º turn when you discover that you are a witch and that you are going to study and live in a world completely different from yours. In the midst of so much change, you meet a boy who is feeling the same.

Word Count: 2.4k
N / A: This is the first fanfic that I am posting on Tumblr, so it would be very important to me if you leave your opinion here and also English it's not my first language, if I made a mistake, I'll like to know and correct it.
Tumblr media
 The day started rainy, which is not surprising considering that I am in England, more specifically in the city of London. However, I, as an immigrant from hot lands, consider rainy days bad luck, because something always happens wrong.
And to my despair, today was supposed to be perfect.
It was only a month ago that I discovered to be a witch and for my happiness, it has nothing to do with pointy noses and pure evil. Apparently the only similarity is the hats, since in the two moments I was around real wizards, I saw several people wearing them.
 My family, for the most part, being a completely devout Catholic, did not accept my new reality so well, not to say it was hell on Earth. In short, if I went, I wouldn't be able to set foot in the house again, as they weren't going to house a sinful witch.
That bearded gentleman was kind enough to help me find another place to stay, while my parents would think better of it. Although I was unable to thank him or at least speak after being expelled from my home, or old home.

I've been staying at the Leaky Cauldron ever since, but because of the latest events in my life, I just went out to buy the materials. Being a witch had cost me a lot and I wasn't ready to face that until yesterday. It took me a long time to decide whether to go to Hogwarts or not, but now the certainty that I made the right choice was growing in my chest.
 Right after having breakfast at one of the bar tables, I waited seated by the person in charge who would accompany me to Kings Cross station, where I was supposed to catch a train. I knew about it the same day that I discovered the magical world but only today I was anxious for that. I must admit that I imagined that we would fly, obviously all the stories lied to all the non-magical children on Earth.
A few minutes later, a man in a turban appeared through the door and walked towards me, his expression showing no particular emotion when entering or even seeing me sitting, but what scared me was the fragility and fear in his voice.
- Miss Garcia, good morning, are you ready to leave? - He leaned on one leg while looking around worriedly.
- Yes sir .. is everything ok ?? The bathroom is on that side - I knew it was inconvenient but I couldn't hold my curiosity as I watched his expression change.
- It will be a short trip but we must go now, to not risk losing the train, let's go - his posture was suddenly rigid and his face looked shaken but this time, I kept my thoughts to myself.
 At least he was kind enough to help me with the two suitcases, which were quite heavy due to the amount of books that were inside, I got some History of Magic extra books to learn more about that world.
And he was not wrong, the path was fast despite the light rain and wet streets. We didn't talk beyond the formalities, I just found out that he is one of my teachers that year, Professor Quirrel and nothing else.
As soon as my feet took a step into the station, the man said goodbye with a nod and left to go his own way with a weird expression, but I didn't care about that for more than 2 seconds.
I took a deep breath and started to walk following the small crowd of people who would possibly go to work in another city, since I didn't know the way to the platforms. Honestly, I didn't think it would work until I saw the license plate numbers, and I quickly hurried on, because mine was ahead.
- 7 ... 8 ... 9 ... 10 ?? - I stopped walking at the same moment I realized that mistake, there was nothing between 9 and 10 - I don't believe it ...
 I stood leaning against a wall looking around as if looking for someone, but in fact I wanted to find a miracle or at least an angel who could tell me what to do in that situation.
Millions of thoughts crossed my mind within 2 minutes, most of them negative, until something drew attention out of my despair, or rather, someone. A red hair had just gone through the wall, it was so fast I could hardly believe my own eyes.
Two more people did the same before I managed to close my mouth and walk over there, in shaky, uncertain steps. They hadn't noticed me and I thanked them mentally for it, because I wouldn't be able to pronounce a single right word. The good news is that they were certainly wizards, by the way they dressed and the most logical conclusion is that they would know the right way.
 I waited for everyone to cross to get closer to that wall, I couldn't hear the conversation but I noticed that the right way to enter is to run. Again I took a deep breath and looked around to see if anyone was noticing me, with the station full, my answer came as a quick no.
 I closed my eyes and ran about three short steps until I felt a sensation unlike anything I had felt so far. The stone wall seemed to have turned into a wind wall and I easily managed to get to the other side. I immediately opened my eyes after hearing the sound of a train and when looking to the side, there he was. The Hogwarts Express was written right in front of the locomotive.
 It only took me 10 seconds to notice the difference, the clothes were definitely different and there was an absurd amount of children and teenagers, as I was walking closer to the train entrance, more people were showing up, in a way I didn't know how to explain.
 The trip was smooth to Hogwarts, I found an empty car as soon as I arrived but soon the seats were being filled and I ended up sharing my cabin with two more girls, I soon noticed that they were sisters and that was the initial topic of our conversation. They were nice and helped me get into the current context of the wizarding world, explaining the basics about Hogwarts as well.
- And he's here, the boy who defeated you-know-who's going to study with us! - the oldest of the brunettes spoke excitedly with a huge smile on her face.
- One of my friends told me earlier that she met him in the hall, what is he like? - the youngest asked even knowing that none of us would know the answer.
 This topic remained for a while, until they decided to take a walk on the train while I read, enjoying some quiet time. Honestly, I wouldn't like to be in this boy's shoes, not only because of the tragedies in his life, but also because of the amount of attention, comments and theories about him.
But I cannot deny it, I would like to meet him, who would not be curious after everything that was being commented on?
 People got in and out of the car where I was sitting and I tried to have a decent conversation with everyone, but then when two older students came to tell us that we should change clothes, as we were arriving. I preferred to wait because a hurried crowd of students wanted to go first, so I ended up being one of the last to get dressed, but one of the first to leave the train.
 All the way the view had been impressive but nothing had prepared me for the vision I had when I approached the lake, where we were supposed to go. It was dark and it wasn't raining, the moonlight reflected on the water of the Black Lake like a mirror and I was almost sad to see that we were going to cross by boat, because that image would be blurry.
I could only see the outline of the huge castle on the other side, but it was enough to see all the splendor of that place and for a few seconds I was paralyzed absorbing the beauty of everything around me, until a voice brought me to reality.
- Only 4 people on each boat, kids! - I glanced at the giant man, who was talking animatedly to some students, before I sat down in an empty space.
 As soon as we reached the other side, we gathered in a small group on the castle entrance stairs to hear one of the teachers. I remained behind and silent as I was paying attention, until I saw someone passing by and right after I felt a foot stepping on top of mine for several seconds.
- Hey! Can't you see I'm here ?? - I said indignantly but as low as possible looking at the red-haired boy beside me.
- I ... I'm sorry, I didn't see you - he replied without even looking at me, his face turning as red as the color of his hair.
 I thought about replying but as the teacher was still talking, I just preferred to nod, accepting the apology. Only then did I realize that I caught the attention of two more students, a curly haired girl who cast a disapproving look at the redhead but smiled at me gently and at another dark haired boy, who noticed my gaze and shifted his look to the other side immediately.
 It didn't take more than 15 minutes before we were inside that incredible hall, instead of a concrete ceiling just like outside, above my head was the most beautiful starry sky I have ever had the pleasure of seeing, with floating candles to complete the view. To my relief, it didn't seem like a common thing for most first year students, who talked quietly among themselves so I didn't look like an idiot admiring alone.
We were instructed to stay in a queue, I had no idea what was going to happen so I was distracted looking at the stars, which never seemed so achievable until that moment. I wish I could go up there and take at least one, but it would be impossible.
 We walked slowly until we stopped in front of the other students, who were spread out over 4 tables, my eyes never left the illuminated sky and as a result, I didn't notice that I was too close to the boy in front of me.
I got my first embarrassing moment of the year in less than 10 minutes, because I stepped on the cover of the boy in front of me. All the consequences of that went by very quickly before my eyes. In a second I was out of balance and fell, but that's not the worst part. I accidentally pulled his cloak back, the boy fell out of balance and fell with me, his back to me. It hurts, too much. No more than the weight of my humiliation and shame, but it still hurts.
 My face took on a pinkish tinge as I silently prayed that no one noticed, but that's not what happened. Today was definitely not my lucky day. I could hear half the room laughing and half whispering, so I knew for sure that I had made a big impression on people and a bigger one on the Hogwarts floor.
- Sorry ... I was distracted - I spoke as quietly as possible looking at the ceiling and again at him.
 He didn't look at me for more than 2 seconds before looking away in that same direction and back to me again. His nod was minimal but noticeable and he soon stood up, which I had forgotten to do in those few seconds.
 What surprised me more than anything in the last month was his hand extended to help me, it didn't take me long to accept the help and so I got up and straightened my clothes trying not to show shock. This was an act of kindness that I couldn't expect from my brothers, considering how angry they would be in a situation like this, but other than shame, I couldn't see a hint of anger in his green eyes.
- I'm really sorry ... - I said again, loud enough that only he could hear me.
 The director had called everyone's attention, so most had stopped laughing although that redhead from before just stopped after the mini punch that the brunette gave him.
- It's okay, it will just be another reason for people to talk about me behind my back - he gave me another small smile on the side but his tone was not the happiest.
- And why?? I don't know who you are - I was curious because I had not met anyone important in the magical world until then.
 I could see a flash of surprise in his expression but before he could answer me, the names started to be called and little by little the children walked to the stool, where the hat was placed on their heads. After that he didn't answer me, no one else had the courage to say a word because they were very anxious to get their turn and also curious, like me, to know which house the famous Harry Potter would go to.
- Potter, Harry - called the teacher with a serious but serene expression and a different look in her eyes.
 From then on, the students' not-so-low whispers started again and I, who was already at the Hufflepuff table, could only be surprised to notice that the boy I dragged to my shame was actually Harry Potter himself. I didn't have the courage to look at him for more than 5 seconds, because again the embarrassment consumed me but this time harder. I only looked at him again when the Gryffindor table radiated in cheers and laughter as soon as he was drawn there and then our eyes met for the last time that night.

Okay a new story, I don’t know yet if I’m going to continue with this, it depends on your responses. :)
enjoy!
-------
Okay so we all know about the alphaxomega verse but there is something we got wrong. Omegas are not the rare and weak species; Alphas are the rare fruit instead.
An alpha is not defined by having a strong personality, an omega can be just as fierce. What makes some alphas rare is that only a very small percentage are genetically capable to knot. This makes them very wanted and a great earnings for the black market.
You are an high class black market dealer who buys these alphas and sells them to your clients. But during one auction a specific scent caught her attention. You found your mate and it was time to knot.
----
01; preparation
You just finished your last meeting of the day with one of your new clients, who is searching for an alpha. 'Who isn't?' you thought to yourself as you waited for your car while checking your phone.
As you looked through your messages you saw a few new requests for alphas from the same desperate omegas, who's stories you've heard a thousand times, and an email from the auctioneer, they wrote in code were the next auction was going to be.
You made a note of the time and place as your car pulls up. Hendrik, your chauffeur got out and opened the door for you. "Thank you, Hendrik." you said as you got in. He got into the front again. "Where to, madam?" you looked up from your phone. "Home, please." "Yes, madam."
You pushed the button so that the screen came up between you and Hendrik, creating some privacy and made a phone call.
"Hello?" "Mister MacLeod, it's Miss L/N speaking." "Ah, Miss L/N, to what do I owe this pleasure?" he asked teasingly. You've done business with him louds of times before.
"Stop screwing around Fergus. I've got a lot of anxious Omega customers waiting for their 'true love'. Please tell me this is an event worth my time." you said annoyed, not feeling like playing his games.
"Ow sweetheart, right to the point, what alpha ruffled your feathers today?" he again teased. "No alphas, like I said, anxious Omegas." You answer as polite as possible. "Maybe the lack of an alpha is your problem? I know about an event that might interest yo-" He tried to say but you cut him off annoyed. "Fergus, stop wasting my time and tell me 'yes' or 'no'."
"Well sweetheart, then bring all your credits and more because this is my best event yet." he said proudly, you rolled your eyes. "I've heard that one before." You answered unimpressed and was about to hang up. "Wait Y/N, I'm serious, bring your wallet. We've hit gold and found a lot of good alphas." he said in a very serious tone. That piqued your interest, you haven't heard him so serious in a while.
"You better not be bluffing Fergus, the last time I got into a lot of trouble for it." You warned him as you recalled past events. "Sweetheart if you walk away with less than 10 alphas then I'll give you a discount." he said. "pff If I get more then 10 then you better have a good discount for me as well." You bargained.
He was silent for a minute and then you heard a sigh. "You drive a hard bargain for an Omega, as always." he said impressed and you chuckled. "And you are a pushover Fergus, as always." He laughed on the other side of the line. "See you next time, miss L/N." "Till next time, mister Macleod." and you hung up.
As you looked outside, it had started to rain. 15 Minutes later you arrived home, which was in one of the nicest penthouse flats in the city. Basically, each floor was one apartment. It was a courtesy of the agency you worked for since you worked nearly 24/7.
At least that's how you got here. Last year you bought your penthouse and it was now your private property. Yip, selling alphas to the filthy rich, and often lonely, omegas paid extremely well.
The reason it paid so well was because you worked in a bit of a "Grey" area. It was legal to sell alphas and pair them with omegas, what was illegal was to buy them in order to sell... Yeah it was a bit of a loophole the authorities created. Corrupted I know but it wasn't as if I had made that law or could do something about it.
You bid Hendrik farewell and entered the building, greeting the doormen as you checked your mail and went up to your penthouse. As soon you entered your house you kicked off those heels and walked to the bathroom to grab a towel to dry yourself off from the rain. You turned on your TV and made your way into your office to quickly check your computer.
As you checked your mail again you saw you got a mail from Fergus, attached was a pdf. He sends you an exclusive preview, how nice. Seems like he really wants to convince you. You printed the attached document and took the pile of papers to the living room and sat on the couch as you vaguely followed the news.
The pictures weren't great but it was good enough to see if it was interesting or not. As you made your yes, maybe and no list you were surprised. "I'll be damned, he was right" From the 70 alphas 27 of them were on your yes list.
Even with the bad picture you knew that those 27 you'd be able to bid to your clients. You looked once more to your maybe list and one alpha caught your eye. Strong jaw, fierce look, a haircut and a shave and you'd be convinced this one would look like a God... Actually, with the beard it would be fine to.
"Dean Winchester?" you read out loud and looked over his info. "Pro; good looking. Con; to strong alpha instinct and trouble maker, can be tough to handle." You raised your eyebrow. This one would be impossible to sell but for some reason he really got your personal interest.
You shrugged it off and left the paper on your coffee table.
"We shall see."

Hope you enjoyed it

Sparks Fly (part 5)
I'm not entirely happy with my writing in this chapter, so please bare with me🤧 this took longer than I wanted

Tumblr media
6 weeks had come and gone since you had been suspended from NCIS, since you had refused to talk...since you kissed Jack. Since then you had apologized to Vance and agreed to talk to someone. Vance had suggested Agent Sloane, but you had been quick to request Dr. Grace instead. He hadn't questioned it, only agreed and informed you that Dr. Grace would determine when you could return to work. As frustrating as this whole situation had become you had agreed. The longer you were away from the team, the more anxious you became. 6 weeks was far too long to be away. Bishop and you had gotten drinks with Torres a few nights, but the case they were working on now was a big one and they hadn't really had time for social calls.
"Waiting on her to come out of that thing?" Travis' voice caused you to nearly jump off of the kitchen island.
You furrowed your brow and let go of the phone you had been staring at for the past ten minutes. "What?"
He shook his head with an amused smirk dancing on his lips. "Nevermind. You're popcorns done you know," he gestured towards the microwave and grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl beside you. He watched you go back into your daydream and sighed. "You haven't heard from her have you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," it took all you had to hop off the counter and retrieve your popcorn from the microwave. You pouted when it was just barely warm now. You must have dazed off longer than you thought. "Besides, how would you know?"
Travis chuckled and rolled his eyes. "You won't stop staring at your phone, and you've been extra distracted," he shrugged and grabbed some frozen waffles from the freezer. "Besides, popcorn for breakfast? You must be distracted," you hated that he knew you so well.
"Well it's just the opposite. I have heard from her," you sighed and locked your phone for the third time in 60 seconds. You looked up to see him put the waffles in the toaster and hopped back on the island. "Sorry," you mumble when you realize that you came in here to do just that.
"Then what's the problem?"
You focused in on your fingers fiddling in front of you and shook your head slightly. Travis set a plate out and then took a step towards you. You swallowed. "I just don't know how to talk to her right now. I've been dodging her calls for 6 weeks," you looked up and ran your hands through your hair with frustration.
Travis reached over and stole a piece of popcorn, popping it into his mouth and gave a teasing smirk. "Well, I'm not sure how to help. You see, I myself am in a serious relationship now, and am no longer succumbed to the problems that come with the single life."
You rolled your eyes and kicked at his shin. "You really are an ass sometimes," you stuck your tongue out. In reality you were happy for Travis and Lydia. Things had finally worked out for them, it only took forever, but they were happy. Engaged even! You envied them.
"I think you need to suck it up and face her," he was serious now and you silently cursed him for throwing your own words back in your face. "What's the worst that could happen?"
"Uhm, she could hear me??" You scoffed and crossed your arms.
"Oh come on, what's that pout for now? You're going to see her today regardless. You may as well make it less awkward," he shrugged.
"Because you're right," you muttered in annoyance, "and I hate it when you're right," you rolled your eyes and hopped off the island.
You walked over and grabbed your popcorn before heading for you room. You had a stash of M&Ms in there and you needed the privacy. Lydia would be over soon to talk about the wedding and you knew if you stayed she would pull you in, and you needed to talk to Jack as well as get ready for work. Just as you sat down at your desk your phone rang. How did she manage to do this?
"It's like you can sense my every move," you answered after the second ring. You tried to sound light hearted but you were nervous.
"I figured my 50th time had to be the winner," she retorted sarcastically.
You could hear the smile in her voice and your stomach did a flip. You frowned. This was exactly what you were avoiding. "I know, I know. I'm really sorry about that Jack," you sighed, running a hand through your hair.
"Are you coming in today? Vance said you had been given the all clear."
Did she sound hopeful? "I mean I may have to be persuaded. After all, I was sure hoping to get in one last week of lying in my pyjamas and eating my weight in take out and tubs of ice cream," you smirked. Falling back into this playful banter was easier than you thought, and that put you at ease.
"Hmm," she sighed. "It's not exactly ice cream, but what about coffee and a blueberry muffin? My treat," she offered.
You let out a dramatic sigh as you pretended to think about this offer. "Alright, I've be persuaded."
"Great! See you in 10?"
"See you then," you agreed and hung up the phone.
You jumped off the bed and raced around the room to find the perfect outift. You grabbed some black jeans, a green cashmere sweater, boots and your leather jacket. You tied up your hair in a high ponytail and quickly painted your face. As you rushed out of the room you nearly tripped over your go-bag and Travis snorted in amusement.
"Going somewhere?" He asked knowingly. "Thought you weren't due for another hour?"
"Change of plans," you huffed and tossed your bag over your shoulder. Just as you rushed out the door you ran into Lydia walking up the path. You said a quick hello and goodbye before jumping in your car. You hadn't realized how eager you were to let your guard down and face Jack. Maybe it wasn't facing her that you were eager for, maybe it was just seeing her again. Either way, you couldn't get there quick enough.
*
Jack sat in her usual booth in the back of the diner. She had already started her second cup of coffee and eaten part of her breakfast donut before you had even arrived. She tapped her fingers nervously while glancing out the window every few seconds. The only thing on her mind, when she had a free moment, was that kiss the two of you had shared. She just couldn't shake the feelings that surged inside of her when your lips touched. It was something she hadn't felt in a long time, but even still it was different. When she had pulled away it was only to make sure it was what you had wanted, but when you told her to leave it was all but confirmed that it wasn't what you wanted at all. She had tried calling and texting, but you never returned any of her messages.
That night had helped her see things for what they truly were, and seeing that hurt. When she had dropped by to meet you that first night, with that faulty story, she hadn't expected you to be... Well you. She hadn't expected to be invited for dinner, let alone stay in your home unsupervised. That there told her all that she needed to know about you. Once she got to know you her thoughts had been confirmed and this feeling in the back of her mind kept becoming more clear as time went on. These were feelings she had to keep bottled up, because from past experiences she knew getting involved with a co-worker was dangerous. San Diego had proven just that and she wouldn't put herself out there like that again. If you didn't want to talk about it then she was going to pretend like it never happened. It's what was best.
The bells rang as the diner door opened up and Jack couldn't help but look towards it eagerly. She gave a small smile as you walked over and took a seat. Her fingers tapped the side of her mug until she noticed you watching curiously, and realized that neither of you had said a word yet.
"You got here fast," she moved the coffee to her lips to busy herself.
"I was already prepared to ditch out any minute," you lied with a little chuckle.
"Oh?" Her brow arched curiously.
You shrugged. "Travis' fiance was coming over to talk wedding and I didn't really want to stick around."
"Travis is engaged?" She couldn't help but sound surprised.
"Oh that's right," you grinned. "I forgot you meet him when-" you stopped quickly when you remembered the kiss. You broke eye contact and looked to the glass of water in front of you. You cleared your throat and decided to bypass that conversation. "He got engaged three weeks later. They've known each other since grade school."
Jack gave a small smile when you carried on. By the way you avoided the conversation she figured you weren't going to acknowledge the kiss at all. It probably wasn't the best option, but it was the easiest for now. "Y/N," she started, but when you made eye contact she couldn't bring herself to carry on. "Don't forget to order. It's on me remember?"
You felt your shoulders relax and breathed out quietly in relief that she didn't carry on. You knew it couldn't be avoided forever, but you could try couldn't you? What was the use in getting all flustered and risking losing one of your closest friends? After you ordered, and the food came, you both began to relax and fall into easy conversation. You admitted how you were nervous about returning after your big scene, and Jack told you about the case they were currently working on.
"It's Gibbs," you confessed as the phone rang and quickly answered. "Hi boss," you greeted with a smile, but it vanished when he carried on about a body and hung up. "So much for that morning work out," you sighed, standing and grabbing your purse.
"Got a lead?" Jack asked curiously.
"Another dead body by the marina," you gave an apologetic look. "I'm sorry."
Jack shook her head and forced a smile. "Don't be. I'll catch up with you later on," she shrugged and waved you off with a smile. A part of her was relieved to see you go, only because it gave her that much time to figure out how to talk to you.
*
The moment you came back into the office things had been non-stop. First was the discovery of a body, and when you all arrived at the scene of the crime you were to discover that the male had been bludgeoned from behind. Secondly was the discovery that the male Lieutenant Cromwell, had a wife and a child that were now missing. As of now your suspect was the wife, and you had issued a BOLO on her.
"Coffee, anyone?" Jack entered the bullpen with a big, sympathetic smile on her face while carrying a tray of coffees for the team. She had gotten wind of the big case you all had been working on from Jimmy, and knew that this would be a long night for the team.
"God bless you, Agent Sloane," McGee accepted his steaming cup and took a long drink.
"You are an Angel," Bishop chimed in with a wide smile.
Jack just rolled her eyes and laughed. She turned to you and handed you your cup. "Sugar with a dash of coffee and cream," she smirked. The two of you shared the same order, and you both got teased for it often.
"She brings me my lifeline too?" You grinned, but immediately blushed and took a long said to hide it. You saw her eyes focus on you a little longer before her attention was turned to Gibbs as he cleared his throat.
"I didn't forget about you, Cowboy," she laughed and set his cup on the edge of his desk. "How's the case getting along?" Gibbs only grunted in response, so she looked to the rest of you for some sort of an answer. "Do you need any help?"
"Nope," Gibbs stated simply.
Just as Jack turned to go, McGee spoke up. "Actually, Y/N mentioned needing some," he admitted innocently.
"Oh, well, I think I've got it for now," you shook your head and forced a small smile. "I'll let you know though," you locked eyes for a moment before she nodded and slowly retreated. If the two of you were left alone you had a feeling that something would come of it, and you didn't need the distraction.
Just then Jimmy came into the bullpen out of breath. It was as though he had run all the way up here. "Gibbs!" He called out and the entire team looked to him. Gibbs greeted him with a glare. "Agent Gibbs... sir," he rambled on.
"Get to it, Jimmy."
"Right," Jimmy cleared his throat and looked down at the clipboard he held to his chest.  "It wasn't the wife," he began and paused, but Gibbs' stare told him that there was no more patience to be held.  "With closer observation, I noticed that the wounds were about 4 inches deep and towards the top of his skull.  Kasey and I were discussing it, and with the full description she was able to find on the wife, it couldn't have been her."
"Well, why not?" Gibbs barked.  He hadn't been in the greatest mood today.  Toress had made a comment to the team about Fornell coming in that morning, and so it was concluded his mood might have to do with Emily's drug problem.  No one knew for sure though, it was all just pure speculation.
"She was 5'4"," you spoke up, looking up from your paperwork.
"That's right, and the Lieutenant was 6'2", wasn't he?" Jack piped up this time.
"Exactly," Jimmy nodded and handed the clipboard to Gibbs to show the results of his investigation.  "Kasey did some digging on the wife, and it showed that Mrs. Randall had her last round of chemotherapy 4 months ago.  She wasn't tall enough to bludgeon the Lieutenant from that angle, and she wouldn't have been strong enough for the murder weapon to go that deep," he explained.
"So what does this mean?" McGee questioned fearfully.
"It means we have two missing people on our hands," you looked to the team and then went back to your desk to do some more research.  This night had gotten much longer.
*
For the rest of this week this case was your sole focus.  NCIS was sent a ransom note the day before last, and your team had been working hard to come up with the right plan all while trying to figure out a way to abide by the ransom.  Every night this week you had come home after midnight, completely exhausted, and you started all over at 7 am. With everything on your mind you had been able to get rid of the thoughts of your kiss with Jack.  The two of you had been busy enough that you didn't have to work to hard to avoid her when it wasn't case related, and you hadn't seen Travis enough for him to tease you about it.
You woke up at 5:30 am Friday morning, completely restless.  This case was only getting worse, and you wanted it to be over with.  If you couldn't get to Mrs. Randall and her daughter in time, you didn't think you would be okay.  The child was only 5 years old.  The thought of putting a child through something like this made you sick, and it had you questioning the humanity of these suspects and murderers that you saw day in and day out.  The only reason you survived this job was, because as much sickness you saw on a daily basis, you saw twice as much goodness when the cases were closed.  Even when a case didn't turn out the way you hoped, you told yourself that at least you were able to give their families closer.  It wasn't much, but it was enough to keep you going when you needed it the most.
As you got out of bed, you lazily made your way through your morning routine.  There was no use trying to get that extra hour of shut eye.  You made a fresh pot of coffee, threw a waffle in the toaster and went to hop in a quick, cold shower to wake you up.  Jack popped in your mind as you ran your hands through your hair.  You could still feel her lips on yours, the way that she had kissed back for a split second.  Your heart began to race and you let the cold water run over your face for awhile before turning off the shower. You stepped out and began to dry off and get dressed.  By the time you grabbed your breakfast and made it out of the house, Jack was the last thing on your mind once more.
You focused on the case the whole drive, and when you arrived at NCIS you realized that you were the first one on the team there.  The silence was killing you when you sat and tried to get some work done, and with a huff you stood up and made your way down to the gym.  You needed to clear your head and get a fresh perspective on everything. You tied up your hair and slipped on your gloves, standing ready at the punching bag.  It wasn't long before you were going at it, music in your ears, and you could feel your thoughts cleansing as the time went on.
"Thought I'd find you in here," a voice came from behind after awhile and you froze up a bit.  You didn't know how long you had been down here or how long she had been standing behind you at this point.
This was what you had been avoiding all week.  Once Ellie told you that Jack had been asking about you all day, you knew that it was only a matter of time before she found you.  Of course, you had assumed she had gone home hours ago, but apparently not.  Now you were trapped in the gym with her, and you didn't have an excuse to get out of it this time.
"Jack, I don't really have time to talk," you knew she wouldn't buy it.  She didn't answer and you stopped hitting the punching bag to look behind you.  She was bent over with her hair flung over her head, trying to tie her hair up and out of her face.  You swallowed hard seeing how her sweats formed to her body so well.  Your mind started to wander and you had to turn away when she stood up.  "What are you doing?"
She shrugged as she began to pull on some gloves.  "This seems to be the only way that I can get you alone."
You shook your head and walked over to your bag.  "I was just leaving," you hated yourself for being so distant with her, but what else could you do?
She stood in front of you now.  "Y/N, please just talk to me," her big brown eyes had a certain longing in them.  "We can be professional about this, can't we?"
"Professional?" you almost scoffed and her eyes widened a bit.  "Jack, I can't be professional around you when all you want to do is discuss the least professional thing I've ever done."
"You were upset," she was trying to make excuses that not even she was buying.
"Because you wouldn't stop prying.  I shouldn't have done it," you shook your head.  "It was stupid and unprofessional, and it's not like it meant anything to me anyways," you didn't even realize what you had said before you saw Jack step back.  That was too far.  Did she look... disappointed?  No.  She couldn't be.  Why would she be.  "Jack I-"
"No," she put her hand out and forced a small smile.  "You're right," you swore that you heard her voice crack.  "It didn't mean anything.  You were going through something, and I just happened to be there for you."
She was playing this off to easily for your liking.  "Right," you whispered and looked away.  She turned to leave and you didn't know what came over you, but you reached out to stop her.  "Did it mean something?" your eyes were hopeful this time.
Jack's big brown eyes searched yours for some sort of angle, but she couldn't find one.  You wanted an honest answer, and she wanted to answer honestly, with all of her being, but if you didn't feel the same way then she could risk losing you.  "Y/N," her voice was so low that if you weren't looking at her you wouldn't have heard.
"It meant something, Jack," you confessed and felt hot tears sting your eyes.  "I didn't mean what I said before, but I didn't think you wanted me to admit how much it did mean.  I was vulnerable, you aren't wrong about that, but that is something I had wanted to do for a long time," your confessions just seemed to flow out of you with no filter now.
Jack looked up at you, her eyes flashing with hope and longing. You watched her tongue come out to wet her lips. She swallowed hard and you could see her chest rising and falling a bit heavier now. You looked back up at her as soon as you realized that you were staring, but it was no use. She had seen your eyes wander and a smirk played upon her lips now. "Do you mean that?"
You nodded slowly, closing the distance between the two of you now. Your heart was racing more than ever and you felt her hand reach out, her fingers slowly entwining with yours. Now you were the one wetting your lips. "With every fiber of my being," you whispered.
It wasn't long before Jack closed the gap between the two of you. Her hand reached up to brush the loose strands of hair from your face and her nose brushed against yours. Her breathing was shaky and it was the sexiest sound you had ever heard. You couldn't wait anymore and leaned in to brush your lips over hers. Once...twice...your lips locked this time and a soft moan escaped your lips as the kiss deepened. Your arms reached up and wrapped around her, pulling her closer than before until you both were lost in a heated moment of passion. The moment was cut too short by a clearing of the throat from behind you both. You both jumped back, hearts racing and eyes wide, to see Director Vance standing in the doorway. His arms were folded and he didn't look too happy.
"Leon," Jack was the first to speak up. You silently thanked her for that, since the two of them were so close. Maybe that would soften whatever form of punishment would come your way? "We were just-"
"Never you mind what you were just doing," he frowned. "Gibbs got a lead. He's been trying to get ahold of you both, but I can see you were otherwise occupied."
You bit your lip nervously and decided to grab your things as quickly as possible. You looked at your phone. 2 missed calls. You knew Gibbs didn't like even 1 missed call. You held the phone to your ear as you played the voicemail and your eyes widened. "They have a lead on where they're being held. I have to go," you rushed towards the door.
"I'll go with you!" Jack called out and reached for her things.
"I don't think so Agent Sloane," Vance shook his head with curious eyes. You weren't sure if he was upset or if he was just looking out for a good friend. "You'll best serve here."
Jack looked to you apologetically, but you just smiled and shook your head. "It's fine Jack," you assured her before you turned to go. This was certainly the start of something new. You only hoped that it wouldn't cost either of you too much.

One Night Only 2: Part 3
Dedicated to @muse-of-mbaku This one is moreso the reader and Anaya then Anaya and Corey like the last chapter was. Word Count: 2,231
Warnings: Softboi!Erik, no smut this chapter.
Tumblr media
There's a long rumble in Erik's chest as you wake him with a barrage of featherlight kisses on his cheek. His head is half buried under the blanket while another fourth is swallowed by his pillow, but you can reach that velvety patch of skin between his eye and sideburn. "I called Raven over to watch Anthony."
"Who's Raven," he rasps, his voice almost too deep to understand. You've been around him long enough to decipher the monotonous sounds.
"The sitter I'm paying for the week to be on standby.. She'll be here in less than an hour. I'm going to get showered, dressed, let her in, and then me and Anaya are going to the spa. We'll probably be back around 2.. 2ish.. 3." You check your phone. It's about 8:30 AM and you still have to wake Anaya for the 10 AM appointment.
"Mm," he grunts with closed eyes, "Who's gonna watch me?" The smile in his voice does damage to your loins. No matter how long you're with him, your stomach and your kitty still does cartwheels. "Shut up," you chuckle softly in his ear. His arm wriggles out from under the blanket and blindly feels for your hand. Pulling it and your arm toward his lips, he kisses both before holding your arm and resting his head on your hand like a stuffed toy. He's always this cute and affectionate on the morning of days he gets to sleep in. "I love you too," you cave leaning down to kiss more of his exposed face. On the third kiss he stirs, eyes still closed.
"Needa love a toothbrush," he deadpans. Your jaw drops. Immediately, you clamp your lips shut and snatch your arm back letting his head flop back against the pillow. There's a close-lipped grin on his face as he plays tug-of-war pulling you back down to the bed. "You my stinky lips," he grins.
"Uh-uh, get off me." You push at him, but he's glued.
"Nah, yuckmouth. You got time to love me," he groans, sleep still evident in his playful tone as he traps you in a bear hug, his body heat radiating through you. It's turning you on.
"Erik.. I gotta wake Anaya," you whisper tilting your head back to look up at him. If your morning breath is that bad, he ought to let you go. You think of blowing in his face, but decide against it. Just because he wouldn't go off on you doesn't mean you should do it. That would be disrespectful. Besides, he doesn't do stuff like that to you. He even excuses himself most of the time to fart away from you. Basic decency. The one time he'd completely let loose...
He released a demonic, sulfuric fart from the swamp gutter of Hell.. You were laying your head in his lap on the living room couch, but immediately hopped up. Silently disgusted, you soldiered through the stench walking to the bathroom to grab the spray and spritzing the air. You sat back down next to him and he covered his eyes, chuckling. "Oh my fuckin..," he snickered. "Oh shit.. you a real one because that was fuckin disgusting. I'm so sorry baby." Minutes passed and he was still chuckling on the low. You turned to look at him. "What's so funny!" He shook his head and you waited before he finally spoke. "I'm so sorry baby, I just had to see if you love me no matter what," he chuckled making himself cough. You wanted to spray him in the face. Thankfully, he'd never done anything like that since.
His eyes are still closed and he's falling back to sleep. You push away from his chest gently and he pulls you right back. "Erikkkk," you whine and his smile returns even wider than before. "You playing! I'm trying to get to this appointment."
"I'm trying to get to them walls. Why can't we both get what we want? Just the tip..," He nudges you over onto your back climbing on top of you and he goes directly to the hot spot on your neck with the tip of his tongue. He's trying to keep you in the bed, you know it.
"When I get back, I promise," you say pushing him arms length away so that you can slide from up under him. He groans in irritation and you know you're gonna get it whenever you do come back. Especially if his morning wood is any indication of how the day will go. As you've come to learn... It is.
---
Nairobi was the spa that you'd fallen in love with when you first moved to LA to be with Erik. A black owned, ladies only spa decorated in stark white and gold. On your arrival, the two of you were offered foamy lattes served in wide white mugs as you sat in wait for your rooms to be prepared. You showed Anaya the the Kenyan product line that sat on display, called Kioo. "This stuff is said to be top of the line, ranked number eleven globally in skincare lines."
"Out of how many?"
"Iunno..," you laugh, "Has to be a lot."
"Well the way it has your skin looking all dewy and glowy, maybe it'll work for this crazy looking breakout I've got going on."
"It's the stress." Between taking care of Anthony as though she were a single mom while maintaining with her job and taking care of the apartment, and Corey's crazy ass acting brand new as if she'd ever be flim-flammy enough to try to play him, AND her bestie living across the country.. she was going through it. She was a survivor as so many black women are. There was absolutely no reason for her to have to be that strong and carry every burden alone.
After changing into white fluffy robes and headwraps to keep your hair out of the way, the both of you are taken into separate rooms for hour-long deep cleansing facials and full body massages. You rejoin for manipedis and as her feet soak in the basin, the massager in the chair going ham.. her energy is of a whole new person, regenerated and refreshed but serene.
"What's so funny," she smiles in response to yours. You shake your head and for a while the two of you rest in comfortable silence.
“I needed this... R&R.. this pampering," Anaya sighs suddenly. "I love Anthony to death, but I've been wrist deep in puke and baby shit since he was born.. A bitch do miss being spoiled."
"You're allowed to need a break, Nay. Corey shouldn't have left him just because he's angry with you and going through it. Being a dad is a 24/7 thing."
"He hasn't disappeared completely. He still buys things I need for Anthony and pays his half of the rent. He'll watch him sometimes, but it's on his own terms. It's like he's literally afraid to be near me, like he doesn't trust me. Won't talk. Nothing more than 'hey' or asking about Anthony." She chuckles humorlessly pausing reflectively. "It's like, what happened to the man who was all about me? The man I fell in love with? It's like he just went poof. Even if he did get over this all of a sudden, MY trust in HIM is broken because of the way he's acting." You can see her eyes getting wet and instead of hiding them, this time she lets her tears slip freely. An employee hands her a box of Kleenex. "I guess this the end of us.. because I can't do much more of this," she sighs dropping her head back against the cushion.
As much as you love them together, you don't have the heart to tell her to hold on. She shouldn't have to. The relationship isn't solely her responsibility. If Corey was as real as you thought he was, he would have tried to work it out as a man in love with the mother of his child. He could be trying so much harder.
"...There she was with her world crumbling.. Eating all the pieces of the sky as it fell.. Libra, black goddess of homeostasis.. Births a new heaven in the valley of hell..," you peice together as the words come to your mind.
"Write that down, that's good," she mutters with a wry scoff.
---
Lunch is at a little bistro where they play new R&B and serve burgers and shit. You stand to wobble to bouncy tune to and shake off the gloom, pulling her up to bounce with you. This was your shared tradition. Whenever one of you were down, you'd dance. You'd jump. You'd twerk. You'd krump. You'd get downright ratchet. She'd initiated it when you were down about your break-up and now it your turn. Burgers high in hand. You both chewed and strutted, dancing with no fucks given for who was watching.
"Raven," you yell walking through the front door of the house with Anaya behind you cackling about the guy with the camera on you in the bistro. "Idon'tgiveafuckputmeontmzbih," you snap playfully as she buries her face in your shoulder in a snickering fit. "Gone put me on Ellen I'm a twerk there too and bring my bestie.. Think the chickenhell I WON'T!" She sounds like a windex bottle and it's making your day. "Shiiiddd," you add. Erik is gone, somewhere being busy. You know he's meeting his publicist and agent, but that's all you know. "Raven," you yell again walking up the stairs. You're a little earlier than you said so it makes sense she's not downsfairs waiting. Poking your head in various rooms, you find Anthony on the bed watching Finding Nemo. "Whew," you blow through your mouth. His pamper is lit. Anaya's nose wrinkles and she sits on the bed next to her baby who's still entranced by the tv. She checks his diaper ready to change him and looks at you a little weird. "What is it," you mouth silently.
"Why she ain't change him," she mouths pointing to your closet. Your ears perk up. You hear what sounds like the clink of a hanger. First of all, why the hell was she all up in your stuff? Charging into the adjoining room that housed yours and Erik's clothes, you find her in front of one the full length mirrors wearing the yellow dress you wore when you attended the MTV awards. Seeing you in the reflection, she freezes. You're stuck and for a while you just stare. She rushes to take it off.
"I'm so sorry! I.. there's no good explanation for this," she rushes taking the dress off and hanging it back in it's spot. "Please don't fire me, I swear it won't happen again."
Shaking your head in surprise, you just stare as she grabs your clothes scrambling to redress. "Get out," you finally find your voice to say. "You'll get paid for the day, but I won't be needing your services going forward." What a stupid way to ruin an easy check. She could've just done her job and went on social media, called her partner, watched tv, anything. It was so simple. "GET OUT," you bark causing her to flinch as she moves around you to leave. Grabbing your head, you return to Anaya to apologize for your own terrible choice of sitters.
"It's not your fault. You tried and I don't fault you. It's her own fault for being negligent," Anaya says retrieving the diaper bag that was where she left it this morning.
"You think she fed him," you ask, the whole situation rubbing you the wrong way.
"Who knows. I'm a feed him and clean him up. He probably been sitting in this all morning." You pop her hand gently, picking up the boy who's now pitching a fit because he wants to finish the movie. Anaya raises an eyebrow and you wave her off laying Anthony down to clean him up.
"I got him, you just relax and try to unwind." Whispering to Anthony to calm and still him, you walk out on your way downstairs to take him for a little walk when you hear the front door close. You walk faster and the downstairs is empty which means that the girl just left. Oh hell no, you think immediately checking everything downstairs with one arm to make sure nothing in the house is missing. Anthony stares as you whiz around. Everything seems to be accounted for. "That crazy girl ain't coming back here," you tell Anthony who's calmed down. He's looking off into the distance not listening. "..Just like a baby," you chuckle staring at his cute fat cheeks. "Auntie Y/N wouldn't mind having one of you eventually.. Just not right now." You kiss him on the forehead and he puts his hand on your face. "I'm going to cook you some chicken and cut it up small," you grin setting him on the countertop. "You wanna help me in the kitchen?" You put a pot next to him with a wooden spoon and show him how to hit it like a drum. It feels like you're living your past dream of motherhood through him and you aren't mad at it.

BUCKY'S P. O. V.
I didn't want to go to the Smithsonian to see the expo of Captain Fuckin' America all over again, but Natasha insisted that they had modified it, and that I sure had to go and see it all over again.
I was walking towards one of the newly added panels when a little kid bumped into my leg. "Fuck!" I turned around just in time to see the kid falling on his butt. "God 'm sorry" I kneeled in front of him to check if he was okay.
I heard rushed steps that preceded the view of a girl kneeling in front of me. "what did I say about running?-I'm sorry" she added, giving me an apologetic smile.
"I'm the one who's sorry" I smiled at her, but she wasn't even looking in my direction.
"Miss Y/n!" the woman turned around to look at a bunch of little kids that were now approaching us "look, It's Bucky Barnes!" the whole group started to squeal excited.
"Oh- I-" Y/n was finally looking at me with wide eyes and lips parted, and for the first time, I was able to see how damn beautiful she was. "Oh" she repeated, letting out nervous chuckle.
Her eyes, along with the children's ones and the few people's in the museum, were too much for me to deal with. "I-I'm sorry again. Have- have a good... time" I muttered, beaming at her before getting up to leave.

READER'S P. O. V.
"Okay, kids, let's go pick things up" I said, smiling at the children while I grabbed the keys. I opened the five lockers where they had left their things, and then, after checking the number on my key, I looked for mine.
At the beginning of the trip, I had asked one of the receptionists to store my things while I helped the kids, in order to save some time. And, of course, they had to choose a locker from the third row.
Right before I left to ask for help, Bucky Barnes entered in the room and, flashling me a smile, he walked to his locker.
Taking a deep breath, I stepped to him and tapped his shoulder. "I'm- I don't want to bother but my things... They're in that locker and" he looked at the locker I was pointing at. "I kinda-" c'mon, say it, I thought, it's not like he hasn't seen you. "God this is so embarrassing" I let out a nervous chuckle "I'm too short to reach it, could you-"
He let out a chuckle. "sure. Gimme your key?" I gave it to him and waited besides him. "here" he called my attention, carefully handing me my bag.
The corners of my mouth twitched when, instead of giving me my jacket, he held it for me to put it on "Thank you so much"
BUCKY'S P. O. V.
"No worries, Y/n" I gnawed my lip nervously before adding something else. "it's Y/n right?" she, biting back a grin, nodded.
"well, thank you anyway... Bucky." she replied, looking up at me enough time to see the blush creeping over my neck and ears. There was a moment of awkward silence between the two of us. "I should get g-"
"Did you like the expo?" I blurted out, feeling incredibly unhappy about her leaving.
She looked at me, with a spark of surprise and confusion in her eyes. "yeah. I actually come with the kids often." I nodded, my mind buzzing, trying to find a way to keep the conversation going. "Did you like it?"
Sadly, I heard her question after I had spoken, and not before. "would you like to grab a coffee?" her lips parted and her eyes widened, I realized I should have thought twice. "God 'm sorry, I don't-"
"Uh... I've to come back to school with the children" before I was able to tell her to forget it, she spoke again. "but this- this afternoon I'm free?" she questioned more than stated, gnawing her lower lip.
"is that a yes?" she nodded, extending her hand to me. "what... Oh fuck sorry" we both laughed while I gave her my phone for her to write down her number.
"Okay so" she gave it back to me and grabbed her bag. "I finish at 4"
"Okay Uh..." I walked out of the building with her and her class "Send me the address of the school and I'll pick you up"
"Sure, see you later, Bucky!" She said excitedly, walking away with the kids.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I double checked the address she had sent me before climbing off my bike.
Bucky: I'm outside:) r u ready?
During the few minutes it took her to answer, a wave of insecurities overwhelmed me, but most of them were ridiculous things I had never been insecure of.
And then it hit me, how damn nervous I was.
Y/n: I have a problem :(
Y/n: come in, I'll explain
I did as she told me to do and, after asking where Y/n was, I got to her class' door, where she was already waiting for me.
"Hey there" I greeted with a smile, managing to suppress the 'beautiful' that almost came out of me. "what happened?"
"i have to prepare a last minute activity for tomorrow" She groaned dramatically, running a hand through her hair. "I'm so sorry, I really wanted to-"
"Hey, 's okay" I gave her a small smile, not even bothering on hiding my disappointment. "tomorrow maybe?"
"yeah... Okay" she parted her lips a couple of times like she wanted to say something, but she ended up giving me a tight-lipped smile and got in the class.
READER'S P. O. V.
Who the fuck cancels a date with Bucky Barnes? Oh, yes. Me. I let out a loud groan followed by a whine, and I almost missed the buzz of my phone.
Bucky: are you gonna be alone?
Y/n: yeah why?
He did read the message, but the fact that I didn't get any kind of reply made me kind of upset.
To my surprise, not even ten minutes later Bucky was entering in the class with two coffees and two doughnuts.
"what's this?" I asked, a smile creeping over my face while he set everything over my desk.
"Didn't feel like waiting" he handed me a one of the coffees, leaning against the desk. "and I thought you could use some company"
"I definitely could" I confessed with a chuckle, walking to his side and hopping onto the table. "thanks Bucky. This was really sweet."
We looked at each other for a moment, the same stupid smile on our faces. "can you tell me if the coffee's good? 'cause I have no fucking clue what I ordered."
I let out a laugh "how's that even possible?"
"names were long and complicated, doll" he defended himself. "it was easier back in the day"
"back in the day" I echoed amused before taking a sip of my drink. "well it's... Sweet"
"just like you, then" I felt my cheeks reddening at that simple statement. "and it's hot too" snorting, I buried my face on Bucky arm, who was softly chuckling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sound of my alarm going off had never been so annoying.
When I tried to move to turn it off, Bucky’s strong arms tightened around my waist, pulling me closer to his chest. "don't"
"Bucky, I have to work" I mumbled, trying not so hard to get rid of his embrace. "c'mon, do you want me to lose my job?"
We had been dating for a few weeks already, but it was the first time that I had stayed the night at Bucky’s house —a. K. a the Avengers tower— so I wanted to leave before anyone could wake up.
"not gonna lose it, darlin'. You're too good at it." he stated, nuzzling his nose against my neck. "You're so warm. Like a blanket"
I couldn't help but laugh. "Bucky, c'mon" I half-heartedly pulled away, earing a whine from him, and jumped out of the bed.
It took me less time than I thought to find the kitchen. Surprisingly, the hardest part was to find the food.
I was focused on the things in the fridge when a voice almost gave me a heart attack. "Jesus Fucking Christ! Who are you?" I turned around to be met with Sam Wilson himself, dressed in a pigeon pj's.
"I'm-"
"That's Barnes tee-shirt" he stated, calmly stepping to the hall. "STEVE GET YOUR ASS HERE, BARNES BROUGHT A GIRL!"
"WHAT WHERE?" My eyes went wide and I froze in place when Steve fucking Rogers entered. "Holy motherfucking shit, 's true"
"Uh..."
"'Course it's true!" Sam yelled offended.
Thank God, in that moment Bucky entered in the kitchen and made his way towards me. "found your breakfast?" I denied, not being able to formule a proper sentence. "shouldda waited for me, baby" he whispered, grabbing a few things from the top shelf. "Sorry 'bout them" he pulled me closer and pecked my nose.
"Buck" Steve called his friend and we both turned to him. "who's her?"
"she's Y/n" he stated, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "my girlfriend." I started to blush like crazy, and Bucky might have felt it, because he pulled me to the side his chest with one of his arms, while with the other prepared my breakfast.
"You're what now?" Sam asked, and I saw him leaning over the counter between us. "Tell us about you, Y/n"
I opened my mouth to try to avoid that somehow, but Bucky was faster. "she gotta go to work, right?" I nodded and he gave me the breakfast. "c'mon, baby. Eat and I'll drive you there."
"Okay." I finally managed to speak, and Bucky leaned on me to peck my lips. "thanks Bucky"
He gave me a smile an guided my out of the kitchen with the breakfast in my hands, leaving behind us Steve's and Sam's bantering about us.
"I'm really sorry. Forgot today was training day" he apologized again in low voice, kissing my temple.
"it's okay, they seem nice" I said entering in his room and leaving the breakfast over the nightstand. "but they're like hyped kids"
"they're indeed" he agreed with a grin on his face. "so" throwing himself to the bed, he lay on his back with his head resting over one of his hands. "now that I'm taking you to school, and we've more time..."
I huffed, but when he pouted at me, I gave in. "just five more minutes." I warned, scooting closer to him and lying on his chest with my arms hugging him.
"Okay, miss" he replied, shifting his position to be able to cuddle me better. "just five more minutes"
"Bucky I mean it" I warned him again when he got way too comfortable.
"No you don't"
"fuck you, James" I said, chuckling heartedly.
"sweet"
I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought him into a kiss, which turned out to be a mess due to both of our smiles.
