so i just set bad buddy on mydramalist from 9.5 to 10 stars and with that bad buddy is now above theory of love
this is relevant because up until now theory of love was the only drama with a 10/10 rating on my completed-list. and i couldn't get myself to put bad buddy at 10/10 since due to the alphabetical order theory of love would have gotten pushed down to no. 2
but now i finally could
i think it's safe to say that i'm finally. truly. well over my very own personal irl-khai
Tumblr media
#it took me 2.5 years but here i am!!!!#during christmas break i saw my irl-khai at youth group for a bit#(he was about to leave just as i arrived)#there was a girl with him#i think it was his girlfriend (at least that's what i assumed idk i didn't talk to them)#anyway it didn't hurt!!!! it didn't make me feel like shit!!!! i was okay!!!!#so far i never wanted to see (or even hear about) his girlfriend and then i ran into them completely unprepared for this situation. and i#i was. completely fine????????#and look at me now. putting bbs above tol#growth indeed. growth indeed.#i don't wanna brag but. i'm fucking proud of myself#airenyah plappert#bbs#tol#no but tol will forever have a very special place in my heart as THE most cathartic things i've ever watched (up until now)#it was like looking into a mirror and it played a big part in how i reflected on my situation and how i dealt with it#i would watch tol over and over again whenever i needed a reminder not to get close to my irl-khai again after i took a step back#as a reminder to myself how unlike superior (fictional) khai my very own irl-khai did NOT go through character development#and i don't mean i ever needed him to realize any hidden romantic feelings for me#i'd be happy enough if he at least realized how he hurt me back then. how his behaviour caused me a lot of pain#i've tried to explain it to him on multiple occasions but he just. doesn't get it. and he's surely never reflected on anything i've said#anyway he's mostly out of my life now and it's better that way#we're back to where we were almost a decade ago: talking only when we happen to be at youth group on the same day#i'm fine i'm fine i'm fine and i am sooo so happy about this and now bbs is above tol on my watch list even can you believe

hello!! ^^ this is my first time requesting, so hopefully i'm doing this correctly :;
can I request a trafalgar law/reader hurt to comfort oneshot, where the two of them get into a really big argument or fight and reader decides to leave him alone for a long time, so THAT eventually leads to some problems between the two and Law has to make things right??
(basically reader gives law the silent treatment, and law is too prideful to admit his wrongs)
thank you in advance!!! I've really enjoyed reading your kid works, so i'd be happy to see more of your writing :)
☆Trafalgar Law x Reader giving him the silent treatment after an argument
Hello dear anon, don't worry, you did it perfectly and thank you so much for your request. I had a lot of fun writing it and I hope it will match your expectation. Enjoy our dear emo boy!
CW : g/n reader, hurt&comfort, Law is bad at express how he feels, let me know if I forgot something
WC : around 2,000 words, whoops, I love Law way too much, I got carried away
Tumblr media
Law is not a man of many words. That's the less you can tell. Always quiet about his plans, sometimes, you still struggle to understand what's going on in this beautiful mind. Usually, you just deal with it, supporting him as much as you can. But today, it's too much to handle. He is perpetually busy all day and night, and sometimes the bed is cold, and you know he didn't sleep with you. It hurts. You just have the feeling to carry on with this relationship alone.
"We need to talk, Law." Busy with probably another shenanigan you don't know about, he totally ignores you and continues to read his newspaper. Again. Heavy-hearted, you close your eyes and clench your firsts. You can't step back and always try to round the corners. "Law", you insist. He finally drops the newspaper. "What, y/n-ya?" He asks, annoyed by the interruption.
"Honestly, lately… I feel totally sidelined. You're always focused on your plans I don't nothing about, or busy with your patients. And it hurts" Law looks surprised by your words. Usually, you're more the one trying to smooth the things and trying to be super-comprehensive, because you do love Law, and you know he had been through a lot. Supporting him is the least you can do. But what about you? Your emotions?
"I've not neglected you, y/n-ya. I'm just busy." Yes. That's the whole point. "You're always busy. If you don't need me anymore, just say it," you snarls, anger slowly heating your chest and burning your cheeks. Communication is maybe the key, but it's a struggle to communicate with someone as reserved as Law. The worst? You know he loves you. He's just… an aloof. Always distrustful. "Answer me," your voice is shaky from both anger and distress. " I have things to do, y/n-ya. Don't act like a child. I still feel the same way about you, and you know. "
Maybe it's true, but you don't believe him anymore. You don't even remember the last time you kissed that sweet lips on him. And the feeling of his fingers entwined with yours, when you redraw the lines of his tattoos, cuddling with him in bed. How can you feel the absence of someone you see every day? "I miss you," you confess. "But I'm right here. With you. I need to get those things done, so please be patient." Why can't he understand? With that unreadable face, he's still sitting on his chair. What's going on his mind? "What things, then?" He sighs. "I can't tell."
No. It's enough. Now, you're mad. "Stop pushing me away! I miss you. Do you realize the absurdity of missing someone I can see every day? It's been four days since we last slept together! This morning, you didn't kiss me! You're always taking me for granted and I feel like I'm transparent!" At last, you manage to get a response from him. He removes his hat, runs his hand through his hair, and his eyes darken as your anger is about to explode. "Can you not be patient? I need to… finish what I'm working on. "
No.
Not this time.
He has already stated that too many times before. Before Dressrosa. Before Wano. You already waited way too long. Even for someone as patient as you, it's too much. " I'm tired," you confess, the voice which with emotions. "It can't keep going like this. Why am I always the second choice for you?"
Maybe it's because you always give everything you have to him. Supporting him, regardless of what. You had to break his armor several times to get closer to him, despite his distant and detached personality. The moment he finally confessed about his past was beautiful. The nights you spend together, simply talking about your lives, goals, and dreams, are rooted in your heart. A warm memory of two souls bonding and finding comfort through words and confession. Now, everything is just fading away. And you hate how angry and confused you sound, when Law is just as calm as always. Does he even notice what you just said? You can't tell.
"You don't even answer me. Such a shame to be named heart pirates when you don't even have one." you explodes, shouting the words.
"I don’t think it's the right time to talk about this because you're too emotional y/n-ya. "
"And you're too logical!"
The saying goes that opposites attract, but you're not so certain anymore.
"I'm just so fucking done!" Now, you're screaming and Law growls, "Shh, don't yell, everyone will hear us," he says, caring way too much about his privacy. "I don't care! Just say something! " He looks so tired, with his usual dark rings under his eyes. "Leave me or not, but do something because I'm so done with this shit. I'm the only one trying to communicate and make things right!"
You slam the door of his small office with anger and tears prickling at the corner of your eyes. He doesn't follow you. He remains confined, choking on his own pride. He probably thinks you will be back soon, as always after an argument. But not this time. You're really done. It's his time to make some efforts, to prove that he actually cares about you and your relationship.
At the diner, he doesn't show up. During the night either. It's not easy to distance yourself from him. But you will not change your mind. After three days, he finally starts to realize that you will not come after him.
Why aren't you bringing him his morning coffee, massaging his tensed shoulders, and spreading your stupid concealer under his eyes? All those small actions you always do to lighten his burden as a captain… damn, he never felt that lonely. But what can he do now? How can he fix the mess he made?
The Polar Tang's ambiance is as cold as a winter island after a week. Everybody noticed the huge tensions between you and the Law. The captain is irritable, barking orders at everyone and looking for you everywhere, but you're just hiding from him. He's exhausted by this situation. He's starting to understand what you said: he misses you, even if you're here.
It's becoming too much for his tortured soul after 10 straight days. The pain in his heart is unbearable. In reality, he feels like a child he never had the chance to be: terrified, lost and alone. Are you going to leave him too? Why is everyone around him always dying or disappearing? Is it always his fault? Now, he feels miserable, almost crying alone in his office. He can't even focus when Bepo asks him to bandage a small wound he just made. His hair is messy because he runs his hands through it too much. Law sighs heavily. His nerves completely fading away as he struggles to bandage Bepo. Why the hell is he crying over a poor bandage?
He's exhausted. Physically and mentally. An he misses you. Deeply. He understands everything you said that day. He understands how you have felt lately and it's a horrible sensation. You didn't deserve the way he pushed you away from everything. He misses the warmth of your body, the passion in your sweet kisses, and your hands redrawing his chest tattoo.
He needs to make things right.
In this situation, what Corazon would have done?
Probably running after you after slamming the door, falling miserably on the ground, and crying pathetically with an ugly nose running. Law frowns. But at this point, he's so desperate that he wouldn't mind crawling and begging for your forgiveness. He stumbles out of his office, tired, and looks for you. How can you hide on such a small ship? "Have you seen y/n?" He asks to everyone and they all they say no. Are they lying? Where have you gone? Did something happen to you? Poor Law is so stressed right now, more than usual. He spent the entire day looking for you and failed. Is it too late? Have you just left? Without a goodbye? No. It can't be. He needs to see, kiss, and hug you. Just one more time, just one last time. Even if feels that he doesn't deserve you.
He slams the door of the bedroom you used to share with brutal force. As he takes off his hat before laying on the mattress, he sighs and an idea crosses his mind. But he's afraid. Because if his plan is not working, it will mean you have already left the Polar Tang. For good. Hands shaking, he finally moves his fingers and mutters, 'room, shambles'. Your plushie disappears as you suddenly pop on the bed.
Oh, thank god, you didn't leave. "Y/n-ya" he whispers, his voice thick with emotions.
Your heart is pounding as you remain silent. Ten days. Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin helped you hide from Law for ten days straight. Giving him the silent treatment was a difficult choice and all you can hope for is that it actually worked. "I'm not a man of many words," he confesses. "But I do love you. I'm sorry for always pushing you away, please forgive me. It's just that... I need to keep you out of trouble. If you don't know my current plan for now, it's safer. " For someone as quiet as him, he's talking a lot. But still not enough."I think I've taken you for granted, but I want to be there for you. Please, let me stay by your side. Don't leave me, please." He almost begs, his voice thick with emotions.
His gentle touch on your cheek almost melts you.  You missed those beautiful, smooth hands on your face. You get closer, enjoying the warm heat heating up your chest. "You're so beautiful", he whispers. He looks so genuinely innocent, discovering again all the small details of your face. What has he done to be so fortunate in love? Does he only deserve you? You can tell that he's not even sure as he waits for your answer, trying to hide the slight shaking in his movements.
"I love you, Law." You gently assure him by kissing the tattoos on his fingers. As the solace embraces his heart, Law is melting inside.
He didn't lose you. It's not too late. "I know you're not good at words, so I won't ask for much. What you just said is already perfect. Thank you for confessing to me. I know it's hard for you to open up." you reassure him. "What should I do, y/n-ya? How can I show you that I care about you? I won't repeat this situation twice." His eyes are now shining with pure determination. "Just the small things you used to do before. Sleeping with me, giving me a hello and a goodnight kiss... you remember that? Our routines." Law nods, probably taking mental note. "I have to kiss you twenty times." You raise an eyebrow confusedly. "Why?"
He shrugs. "It's been ten days since I last saw you. And I'm supposed to kiss you all mornings and evenings." He's so serious right now, you can't help but burst out laughing. He's not joking at all. God, you love this nerd so much. The confusion on his face is even more hilarious. " I love you," you sigh between two laughs. "Why are you laughing? Am I wrong?" That man is so smart, cold and logical, but with love… he's just a mess. A beautiful mess. The one you will always love and cherish. "You're so adorable."
And now, he's blushing. How dare you call him adorable? "Just come here," he sighs, grabs your hips, and sits you on his laps. His lips are sealed to yours, and he kisses you. Twenty times. And he's counting. Every kiss is filled with passion, love, unspoken emotions, and sweet promises.
And, as always when you're together in the same bed, you end up redrawing the tattoos on his chest. As you gently caress his skin, he falls asleep, the tension finally leaving his face. You cradle your head against his chest. His heart is slowly beating, and he looks so calm right now.
You are here with him, and his tortured mind can finally get some sleep.

UGH i’ve been thinking about johnny have a soft spot for a victim/ s/o or something like that but i KNOWW it’s not going to happen 🙁
I actually have two fics in the works where I've expounded on two very different types of girl that Johnny might form actual feelings for. I'll go over the outline of eachs girl's story, and you can tell me your thoughts if you like! I have a vote at the bottom if you want to help me decide which story to focus on.
Tumblr media
Girl #1 (reader insert)
He takes a liking to a victim because she's somebody he can use.
He keeps her alive, says the others want to kill her but he convinced them not to thus instilling a desire to keep him happy (at least long enough to escape)
Johnny wants to convince her to trust him, so he treats her well.
He confides in her (not his crimes yet, but that he has always felt like an outsider and things like that)
She begins to believe that he was a product of his situation. She feels sympathy for him, and feels herself grow closer to him.
Now, he starts to show his true colors. Little by little, he convinces her that he has to be the way he is. To provide for his family. To quell the "bad man". And so on.
At this point, she likes him in a twisted sort of way. She knows she's a captive, but she also has only ever been treated well by him.
Then, somehow, Johnny gets hurt. He comes to her, in pain, and she realizes she loves him because of how awful she feels seeing him hurt.
Woosh
That's the sound of her morality flying out the window
She's a lot more affectionate now, and he loves it. He starts to tell her who he really is. And she... Accepts him.
He actually finds himself trusting her. He lets her out. She feels free, but like, a dog sort of free. Loyal. She doesn't want to leave.
Johnny revels in this. She's so smitten she even forgives his worst of crimes.
She makes him feel like, hey, if this person who I know has (had) morality can forgive me, then I'll just use the feeling of absolution she gives me to forgive myself.
Johnny's happier than he's ever been. He realizes he's in love.
Girl #2 (original character)
He picks her up at a train station in the middle of attempting to run away from home
He offers for her to come back with him, and she's so desperate to be out of her situation she agrees to go, only if she can be allowed to work to pay her keep.
Johnny is thinking this is gonna be an ez kill
He asks why she was running away. She says anyplace is better than where she came from.
Johnny is curious. But not enough to keep her. He brings her home, and she willingly enters the basement.
He says this is where we kill people or something to that nature and she's basically like "Alright, is the work you need done something to do with the bodies?"
Johnny is dumbfounded. She's just... Willingly accepting this? Wtf?
So he is really really curious now. He tests her, and she truly is willing to deal with dead bodies. So he actually does let her stay.
Cook is happy because finally someone is cleaning up the damn place. Nubbins likes her because she's cool with his dead stuff. Leatherface is happy to have some of the duty of chopping people up out of his hands.
Basically, she fits in well.
She and Johnny end up spending a lot of time together. He finds he's actually interested in her, like, as a person not just to fuck.
She's got a strong personality, and he sees himself in her. And respects her for it.
He does wanna stick his dick in crazy though
This story has a lot more to it, and a big plot twist so I don't want to give it away in this outline but basically she's fucked up and accepts him right off the bat because of it.
They end up crazies in love.
Tell me your thoughts, I'd love to hear which you like most! I'm still in the middle of writing both of them so I can focus on one or the other if either has more interest. I'll put a poll down here just out of curiosity.

Getting Mistaken for a Couple Pt. 2 | Headcanons
bim bam bop here's a part 2 for you all <333
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ✯ ⋅.} ────── ⊰
Childe
Tumblr media
Ngl, the mistake kinda fuels his ego.
"Oh, did you get that impression by the way [Name] stares at me? I can't blame her, though. It's not often you find a Fatui Harbinger who's this handsome and capable."
All joking aside, he makes sure to clear the air and let the commenter know that you're just friends. Friends with a Harbinger. Should they ever try to threaten you, they'll have to go through him first :)
The threat is enough to make the person apologize and scurry away in fear. You chastise Childe for being too forward, but he says he just wants to make sure no one tries to hurt you. Who knows? They could be an enemy in disguise.
You do appreciate the thought at least, and you make sure to thank him for having your back. Being friends with a Harbinger does have its perks.
But you're not in this friendship so you have protection from the Fatui. You're friends with Childe because you like him for who he is. Though intimidating at times, he's charming, funny, and most important of all, fiercely loyal.
Pink dusts his cheeks when he recognizes the sincerity of your words. Maybe he's been around too many people who are scared of him or are just being friendly in order to rise up the ranks. So hearing someone genuinely say that they enjoy being close to him? It's a nice feeling.
It makes him think more about the relationship the two of you have, and how you might be the only person that can truly understand him. He already likes being your closest confidant, but if you were something more...well, he'd be the happiest man in all of Teyvat!
He needs time to figure out how to confess to you, or rather, he needs time to bolster up the courage. He's fought many battles, practically made a nation fall to its knees, but in all of these scenarios, he knew he'd come out victorious. Now he finds himself unsure. He can only hope that you'll accept his feelings. He'd love for you to become a part of his family.
His brothers and sisters have welcomed you in already. In fact, they've been prodding him for ages to finally make a move. Maybe it's about time he takes his siblings' advice...
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ✯ ⋅.} ────── ⊰
Diluc
Tumblr media
Diluc promptly corrects the commenter on their mistake. He doesn't want to ignore it and have the whole of Mondstadt thinking he's in a relationship (word about the nation's most eligible bachelor spreads fast).
"[Name] and I are not a couple. She's simply a close friend of mine. We just often go on walks together to catch up when we've been too busy to meet."
Diluc makes sure to remain a gentleman as he clears up the misunderstanding, though. You might not be his lover, but he doesn't mind the mistake at all. It's flattering, in a way. But he personally doesn't think he's good enough for someone as wonderful as you.
"I apologize for getting you into this situation. Rumors about my relationship status are common occurrences. It's almost as if the whole of Mondstadt is eagerly awaiting for me to find someone...for some reason."
Don't even try to tell him that you wouldn't be good enough to be his lover anyways. He will list all the reasons about why you're the greatest person he's ever met, and if anyone deserves to be happy, it's you.
"If you have the time, I'd like to make it up to you. Would you allow me to treat you to dinner at the Winery? Ask for whatever you want. As I've told you before, if it is in my power, I will give it to you."
Please let him treat you, give you gifts, just let him do anything for you. Seeing that smile on your face always manages to make him smile, too. Your happiness is contagious. He'd say it's even more addicting than a good wine.
Anddd this is when he realizes that maybe his affections for you might go deeper than just a simple friendship.
"Please, allow me to escort you over to the Winery. I'll walk in front to take care of any monsters that might come our way." (But in actuality, he's only taking the lead in order to hide his reddened face).
He can handle formidable mitachurls and the Abyss order, but when it comes to matters involving you, it's going to take some time until he can finally reveal his feelings to you, though hopefully not while he's a flustered mess.

NaNoWriMo Day #22
[masterlist]
Prompt found here by @stealingyourbones
============={|·•·|}=============
"Dr Ivy?" Danny called out from the door of the silent greenhouse. He really shouldn't be doing this, but he needed help, and Ivy was mostly rehabilitated, so he was hoping she'd be willing to give him some... Illegal help under the table. After having been chased out of his home town, he'd been running dangerously low on ectoplasm. He'd never realized how much ambient ectoplasm was in the air in Amity Park, but everywhere else felt like he was trying to find water in the desert. He was starving, and his last hope to find natural ectoplasm had just keeled over, so now he was truly desperate. He gulped, and prayed he wasn't making a huge mistake.
The plants closest to the door turned to face him, causing Danny to fight back a shudder. This wasn't Undergrowth, this was Poison Ivy. He hadn't done anything to draw her ire, so he should be safe. Hopefully.
"Um. I heard you could hear through your plants. I hope that's true, otherwise I'd look really stupid here..." Danny took a breath, glancing at the array of plants. "Um, Dr Ivy, I was hoping you'd be willing to help me with a problem. A biochemistry problem. I... I have a unique biological makeup that the government has all but declared makes me liable to extermination at best or experimentation at worst. It also means I need something extra in order to survive, something I can't find a lot of naturally. I was hoping you'd be able to help me synthesize it?"
"An interesting dilemma," a woman's voice came from behind a row of particularly tall vegetation. Poison Ivy walked into sight. "Still, why come to me?"
Danny chuckled humorlessly. "As you can imagine, I can't exactly take this to an above-board biochemist, and most other biochemists aren't nearly good enough for what I need. You're one of the best, and while you're not exactly a criminal anymore, you're still not afraid to ignore what laws don't suit you." He met her gaze head on. "Please. I'm begging you."
Dr Ivy seemed to consider him for a moment. "Do you have a pure sample of what you need? Or are we going to have to do this the fun way?"
Taking a shaky breath, Danny held up a small, precious vial of pure ectoplasm, taken directly from his pa—the Fenton's supplies. "This is all I have. If we need more, we'll have to isolate it from my own system, which will take some work."
The former rogue eyed him and the vial. "You know, I don't work for free. This is going to cost you."
"My very existence is illegal. I don't have much in the way of money. Or an identity, at this point," which hurt to admit, but made things a bit easier as well. No identity, no easy way for the GIW to track him. If he ever saw Tucker again, he was going to shower him with thanks and praise.
Dr Ivy smirked. "I can work with that. We can work with that."
============={|·•·|}=============
Hi, so, I'm American, and there's a major holiday in a couple of days. A major holiday that tends to take quite a bit of preparation. Sometimes days in advance (^~^;)ゞ I spent the day baking pies and trying not to choke from the wheat tainting the air (I'm severely allergic to wheat, but gluten free pie crusts are too expensive to make all the pies gluten free). I managed, I'm okay, and all the pies turned out looking amazing! But it left me with less time to write than I'd hoped for... And I pretty much chose a prompt at random without taking into account whether or not I could actually write the characters involved (;^ω^)if it wasn't obvious, I have no idea what to do with Ivy (;ŏ﹏ŏ) I hope this was at least acceptable lol
Happy early turkey day, fellow Americans! I hope any feasting you do will be joyous (◠‿・)—☆
Have a good morning/day/night!

So I've seen a lot of people posting their Kirby fankids recently...
And so I figured I should finally try and post some of mine! I've had them for a while now, but I've been too lazy to talk about them on Tumblr. Let's change that by making a post about my favorite out of all of them... my special little princess... my beautiful skrunkly.
Everyone, I'd like you to meet Peony!
Tumblr media
She is, of course, my Taransusie fankid. She came into existence because I was playing Tomodachi Life and I got attached Taranza offhandedly mentioned that it would be nice to have a family one day and Susie just kind of nodded along but her internal reaction was a strong 'ABSOLUTELY NOT.'
This reaction... unnerved her, to say the least. She didn't understand why she felt so strongly about this. It's not that she didn't like kids. She liked Kirby plenty! And so why...?
Oh stars, it had to do with her dad, didn't it?
Her own unfulfilled childhood. Her resentment for her father. A fear that inevitably she'd fail as a parent in the same exact ways he did.
Realizing this was what was holding her back, Susie proceeded to get extremely angry. Why the hell was her dad still influencing the decisions she was making? He was long gone! She wouldn't let him make her hesitant or boss her around. She wasn't afraid. She could do WAY better than him. In fact, she would make a great mom! She'd show him.
The next thing she knew she was holding a baby she'd grown in a test tube.
Susie pretty much immediately realized she fucked up the minute this thing started moving. She didn't have anything to take care of her. Not even a blanket to bundle her in. What was she THINKING? Did she seriously make a living being out of spite? Maybe that would have been acceptable during her ‘Yeah, sure. I’ll do whatever evil thing I want’ era. But now? It was pretty apparent she made a mistake that she couldn’t take back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thankfully Taranza was… mostly understanding? I mean, he was surprised, of course, and he had to be like “SUSIE. Never do something like this again. ESPECIALLY without talking to me about it,” but when she explained he understood why she reacted the way that she did. Plus, as unexpected as this all was, he pretty much instantly fell in love with little Peony.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is to say nowadays they’re a pretty happy family! Peony is 8ish and things are going great. That is… except for one teensy, weensy, SLIGHT problem.
There was an incident wherein Peony almost died, and following it, she’s started seeing ghosts. This would be alarming under ANY circumstances, but with her family especially?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
…Hoo boy.
Further explanation under the cut, since this is long enough as is
First of all, I figure I should probably explain the circumstances of Peony’s near-death experience. It was all sort of a freak accident. One day, Susie had to perform some inspections at the Works Company, and no-one else was available to watch Peony, so she was just like, “Well. She’s a well-behaved kid. I’ll bring her along. What’s the worst that can happen?”
The ‘worst that could happen’ was her child being fed to an industrial meat grinder. All it took was looking away for ooooneeee second. Peony leaned a little too close to one of the company’s machines, fell, and the next thing Susie knew, she heard screaming.
She. Was. Horrified. She scrambled to shut off the machine, but it was too late. Peony was already hurt. Really hurt. She pulled her broken body from the machine, but there wasn’t much else she could do. She pretty much just had to call Taranza, explain what horrifying thing happened, and then wait for him, a person with actual experience using Soul and healing magic to get there before it was too late.
I cannot explain enough how distressing this was. Susie is someone who isn’t used to feeling helpless. She’s in control in pretty much every situation. But sitting there, holding her actively dying daughter, she had none of that usual control. Despite herself, she couldn’t let her mind wander back to that person. The one that she was thinking about when she first made Peony. She said she’d do better than he did, but…
If Peony were to die now, they’d be the exact same.
Even once Taranza arrived, they weren’t exactly out of the woods. He completely panicked, presented with the idea of losing another loved one, and his attempts to stabilize her were sloppy and desperate. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t seem to find her spirit to tether back to her body with his magic. Was it… already too late?
That’s when it felt as if something was passed off to him. Her spirit practically shoved into the metaphorical hands of his mind’s eye. It didn’t make any sense— it felt as if someone had intervened, but he didn’t question it. He took the stroke of luck as it came, and just barely he was able to stabilize Peony.
…She was hurt, but alive.
When she came to, her family was relieved, but she revealed something strange. When she was on the brink between life and death, she swore she was helped by two mysterious strangers. They comforted her, helped her calm down, and helped her get back to her body.
She described them as a ‘pretty lady’ and a ‘funny old man.’
Taranza and Susie weren’t sure what to make of this. It… couldn’t be, could it? But from thereon out, Peony continued to see these strangers, as well as develop more spectral powers.
You see… Peony is half Neumann— the same species her mom is. Her mom doesn’t have any magic abilities thanks to her cybernetics, but archetypically the species is susceptible to being… overloaded with a certain type of magic, especially when in life or death situations. Look at the Mage Sisters, for example. When on the brink of death themselves, they ended up becoming one with the elements that nearly killed them.
It was the same for Peony. A perfect storm, really. The Arachnid’s predisposition for Soul magic combined with the Neumann’s ability to soak up magic made for a very unique set of circumstances. And so when her dad used Soul magic to heal her, and some spirits perhaps stepped in to save her life…
Peony was overwhelmed. She developed an unnatural connection to the dead.
That said, Peony’s ‘guardian angels’ weeereeennn’t exactly supposed to do what they did. The rules of life and death are very strict. Particularly powerful spirits are allowed to remain wandering if they have unfinished business, but they are NOT to mess with mortal lives.
The arbitrator of life and death was outraged. It said it should whisk the two of them to Hades for their audacity! But this, too, was something Peony overheard, and she rushed to intervene. She begged Morpho Knight not to punish the mysterious strangers who helped her. If if was her who was supposed to die, shouldn’t she have been punished instead? She said she’d take their place.
…She didn’t know they were her granddad and her father’s long lost friend at the time. She just knew they’d helped her out, even though they didn’t know her. She had to return the favor.
Morpho Knight tested her conviction. It made it seem as if it was really going to go through with reaping her, but when she didn’t back down, it relented. It… couldn’t whisk away an innocent child. Perhaps all the time spent watching over Kirby was making it go soft. It allowed Peony to have her way. Truthfully, with the abilities she developed, the boundary between life and death for her family was already going to thin anyways. It would watch and see where this went.
Nowadays, Peony and the ghosts are best friends. She’s learned of their origins, and given a bit of an ego boost from her unlikely survival, she’s promised one day she’ll bring them back to life. This is something that is NOT going to happen, but at the moment she’s convinced she’s invincible— that she has unique, unmatched power and can do anything she wants to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her parents are… hardly sure what to make of all this. It’s difficult to believe, really. But the more Peony talks about her brand new friends, the harder it is to deny her uncanny knowledge. And that means old wounds are reopening as they grapple with the complicated implications of the very flawed people they lost not only entering their child’s life but, in a way, reentering theirs.
…But that’s a story for another day. I figure I’ve probably talked enough. All you need to know is god complex spirit medium spider girl. I hope everyone else likes her as much as I do.

May I request the all villain dads (and moms if there are any) when their s/o was pregnant?
(I've had to go back and dig through the masterlist because I was assuming you mean all the parent AU and I couldn't remember who all was written about. There are a few that already exist when looking on either the new or ESPECIALLY the old masterlist pinned. Also the Au's help too. I'm going to just do some off the top of my head because it would take me a while to hunt these characters down. Also I'm sorry if everyone can't fit themselves into this one. It's a specific one so you'll have to forgive me!)

Kai I'd imagine would be shocked at first but a small bit of relief would wash over him. Symptoms hit you hard at first so it had him rather worried about you. He was wondering if you'd been overtaken by some awful sickness. It didn't get any better when the morning nausea had kicked in. Now that he has a reason behind your suffering he at least doesn't have to worry as much about you as before. Now he can focus all his energy on the child at this point because how in the Hell could he possibly pull off being a father??? Stain or Dabi probably disappear for a very long time. I mean so long that you think you're going to be a single parent. I imagine Stain will come back to his senses long before Dabi. Luckily Dabi doesn't stay gone so long that you end up breaking things off with him. They both have reasoning of needing to clear their heads. Fatherhood has never been on the To-Do list for either of them. Nagant is surprised the transfer treatments worked. She's extremely relived when the doctor told you the transfer would be successful and the two of you were going to be parents. You both knew what you were taking on having going into this head first. Now you have the rest of forever together to figure things out. Nemoto would be the type to immediately accept things as they are. You're pregnant? Very well, then let's begin our new life as parents. He might even start to finally reconsider his blind support of Chisaki and the yakuza. That devotion was long since shaken when he'd first fallen for you. His duties have shifted. There's a small one growing that he needs to worry about now. Twice is panicking and half happy about the news. Maybe a tiny bit more panic kicks in when he starts realize just what exactly he's in for. No walk in the park but he'd be so fulfilled when he gets to meet the little one someday. They say things seem to connect when you hold them for that very first time. He's certainly no exception to this. ReDestro is prideful and over the moon at the news of course. Not just an heir to the cause but also a small piece of both you and him combined? Well that's just like magic to him. He opens his mouth and I swear he doesn't shut up about the news to anyone willing to listen to him. On and on all day long about the things he'll teach them and all the love he's got to give. There couldn't be a better husband nor father than ReDestro. Skeptic is...well...skeptical of the situation. Do you know just how much of a burden this could be? Well, when he brings it up like that then it might hurt your feelings. He's looking at things logically. Children are a massive responsibility to him. This isn't just a dog or cat...this is a living human being. He changes his tune near the end of the pregnancy. He loves you, he spends most time researching so much. He's got a digital book in his head with parenting info. He finds out soon enough that it's still not enough. Parenthood isn't easy but he's very thankful to be a dad and thankful for going through the experience with you. He's not so sure when his mind changed so much about things. But as he lulls his baby to sleep and places them gently in the crib at night, he realized he couldn't have a better life than the one you've given him.

Sirius Black x reader
warnings: implications of past self destructive thoughts and behaviors BUT nothing specific described, mentions of past mental issues, swearing, consumption of alcohol, underage smoking/drinking. summary: you’ve dealt with everything on your own, but Sirius changes that. Tags: light Angst, fluff, idiots to lovers, hurt/comfort Disclaimer: I am in no way shape or form romanticizing self destructive behaviors or tendencies. It’s something I’ve dealt with for years and am healing from. If you need to talk to someone my messages are always open. Also, English isn’t my first language and this story isn’t proofread, so if you find any mistakes let me know :) Word count: 2k
Lastly, this is a gift to myself for staying clean for almost a year
also on ao3
You drew stars around my scars
Tumblr media
You have always been quiet, kept your emotions and thoughts to yourself. Never feeling interesting or important enough to share them, free them. Not even when times were dark and life felt impossible.
You felt hopeless, alone, unloved, that is why you sought out help in the form of something equally dark as the thoughts in your head. That kept going for years, shaping your identity, convincing you that YOU were the problem, the darkness that lived inside your chest was who you were supposed-destined to be, and that is why you never asked for help, never told anyone about your secret.
After sometime, the storm passed, and the sun came out. Realizing that you aren't unworthy of happiness, that you deserve love is a war that you still haven't won. You lose somedays, but you keep fighting. You know now that you owe it to yourself to at least try, try and fight the dark thoughts that sometimes find shelter in your mind.
So the dark days might have passed, but they have left their mark on you. Most days you try to ignore the marks, scars on you, not put much thought into them. Until now. And why is that? Now you have people that care about you, you had them before, but now you feel their love- you let yourself feel their love.
Sirius Black was your exact opposite and almost the same person as you. What you didn't have he did, and what he lacked he found in you. You were his shelter when the storm inside him tore everything apart, he was a blanket poured over you when the days were cold and the fireplace inside you couldn't be lit.
You were each others north star, lighting up the darkest of nights. You don't exactly remember when or how he became important to you.
Maybe it was during a Gryffindor party, he found you outside staring into the nothingness of the night sky seeking refuge in the stars. You were surrounded by your friends, by people you cared about, but you felt so so alone, as if there were glass walls separating you from them, not letting you hear the jokes that made them laugh or the music they danced to.
He offered you a drink and a smoke, you accepted, you still don't know why. He made a joke about something professor Binns had said to you in history class and you responded with a genuine laugh you'd grown to miss. "I didn't think you paid attention to Binns, your eyes are always half closed during history, come to think of it, last week I could've sworn I heard a snore." , you respond and earn a laugh from him.
He shrugs before he answers "I pay attention to you, not Binns." and at that you scoff. He giggles and if the sun was out you'd notice a faint blush over his cheeks, "No, really, you are always drawing something during his classes but somehow are able to pay attention to him. Talent- that", you stare at him now, unable to find the right words to respond.
You shake your head and look forward, taking a long drag of smoke. Turning back to him you say smirking "Careful Black, if I didn't know better I'd be scared you're stalking me.", instead of laughing it off like you'd expected he smiled and said "Darling, maybe I am.", he stood up to get back inside and added "You, sketching me one day, is the only thing keeping me up in class", before leaving you, startled, with a stupid grin that wouldn't leave your face for the rest of the night.
Come to think of it, it might have been an entirely different day. It was late at night, and you were returning to your dorm, after a not so productive study session at the library. As you were walking down the cold corridors, you spotted Sirius Black walking slowly to his dorm, hand in his stomach, quietly cursing to himself.
"Black?", you whispered loudly and after catching his attention, asked "What are you doing up this late? Are you hurt?", "I'm fine", he answered but as he turned to leave you saw him wincing in pain letting out a groan. You rushed to his side and checked his face, black eye and split lip, you removed his hand from his stomach and stared into his grey eyes, silently asking for permission to lift his shirt.
He nodded and as you saw his wound you muttered a curse. "How the hell did this happen?", you asked. "Bloody Malfoy and his friends had it out for me, next time I see him I'll argh...", "Sorry." , you whispered quietly, "Want help getting to Madam Pomfrey?", "Can't, Poppy will have my head, along with Dumbledore and Mcgonagall. Don't worry love, got it covered, I've had my fair share of healing charm practice. I'll figure something out. " , you try not to react to his words and say, "I can help you, let me."
And somehow he did. You dragged him to an empty classroom and he performed a lighting spell for you as you healed him. He paid close attention to you, as you worked. Noticing your moves, calculated- not sloppy like his were when performing these spells, as if you'd had years of practice, which you did, but he didn't know that.
Your face was calm, focused, you didn't look scared or anxious, he liked that about you. How you always kept composed, as if you'd grown shields around you, not letting the darkness of the world harm you. He wished he could also do that. Protect himself from his parents, the purebloods who threatened him and his friends, even his family who constantly expressed their disappointment to him. Disappointed by his friends, beliefs, choices, disappointed by him and who he was.
Your voice snapped him out of his thoughts, "Sirius, I'm done, how are you feeling?" "Great, you should consider healing, you'll make a proper fortune..", he joked trying to change the subject, lighten the mood. But you asked again, sincere interest written on your face, "Apart from the wound, how are you?"
He grabbed your hand, squeezed lightly and responded with a small smile "Better now, truly." you smiled back and something fluttered inside you, a different feeling arising, but you couldn't understand what is was back then. You walked back to your dorms together and said goodnight to each other, like it was something you'd done millions of times before.
Many memories with Sirius flood your mind, weekends at Hogsmeade, drinking hot chocolate and butterbeer with your friends- spending more and more time together ever since Lily (your best friend) and James started seeing each other-,him making fun of James' obvious infatuation with Lily and you smiling at your best friends constant blushing at the seekers compliments.
Going shopping together, Sirius making an effort in helping you pick out clothes and you making fun at him for that. Ruining your and Remus' study sessions at the library. Jamming out to ABBA, Queen and Bowie. Seeing his face light up after introducing him to Fleetwood Mac. Being partners in Potions, brewing Amortentia together and you trying not to make it obvious that his cologne and leather jacket are the only things that you smell.
It is safe to say that you two had grown very close, he had a special place in your heart, not a friend or crush, something entirely different and unique. And utterly beautiful, just like him.
Going from friends to something more was like a slow reaction sped up by your friends, who'd grown tired of watching you two dance around each other, both scared to act on your feelings- not wanting to lose one another.
It happened as a dare, James dared Remus to kiss you over a game of spin the bottle. You laughed awkwardly and said no, but everyone insisted you'd go on with it, Remus remained quiet giving you and Sirius quick glances.
After taking a sip of Firewhiskey to calm your nerves and closing your eyes you exclaimed "Okay, just get it over with.", Remus slowly got close to you until Sirius stood up and left. James shouted "Oi where are you going?" and Sirius responded with an angry "Out.". The rest of you looked at each other worried and you stood up to check up on him.
You found him taking long strides down the corridors leading to the field and you ran behind after him to catch up, whilst also shouting his name. After getting outside, he stopped abruptly and you having finally caught up to him exhaled deeply.
"Why'd you leave so suddenly?" , you asked, secretly hoping, wishing for the answer you craved. That he was jealous, that he loved you, that he couldn't look at anyone kissing you, couldn't bare the thought of you being touched by anyone but him.
You scoffed at yourself for thinking like that. Imagination getting the better of you, once again. You braced yourself for the answer that'd hurt you "I got bored", or "Needed a smoke", prepared yourself for disappointment. But he said, "You know why."
And you gulped, you needed him to say it, not trusting yourself. You opened your mouth, but what came out was the repetition of "don't know" and "Sirius" and "I". You couldn't stop, nerves controlling you now, so Sirius did the one thing he thought would help, while also wishing he hadn't read you wrong all those months, he kissed you.
At first you were shocked and didn't respond, not until he pulled back, Now he was nervous and blabbering "I'm sorrys". You just grabbed him by his shirt and crashed your mouth on his, eyes finally closed, hands sliding around his neck and hair, you were kissing Sirius Black. And he was kissing you back!
Time stopped and everything felt unreal. After a few moments, not really wanting to separate from each other, you both took a step back, and there you stood, with Sirius' hands not letting go of your waist and both of you smiling at each other before you heard shouts and laughs from a few feet behind and Marlene’s voice screaming "I told you it would work!".
And all that takes us to the present. After kissing Sirius, you two have grown more and more close. Currently you are in the Gryffindor common room, alone and sprawled out on a couch near the fireplace. Sirius on top of you humming, as you run your hands through his hair with one hand and hold your book with the other.
You aren't able to focus on the story you're reading, your mind constantly reminding you of the past Sirius will find out sooner or later, the awkward conversation you'll eventually need to have and the vulnerability you have no experience with. Sirius calls your name and snaps you out of your thoughts,"What is going on up there?"
You look at him nervously, not knowing how to open up, how to talk to him about this. "I..." you say and sigh again, closing your eyes, he sits up and you follow him, now playing with your hands. "I don't know how to talk to you about this, I don't really know how to talk to anyone about it really".
He grabs your hand and caresses your cheek "Talk to me whenever you're ready, I'll always listen. I'm here and I don't ever plan on leaving." You smile awkwardly, tears gathered in your eyes but not able to flow down your cheeks. "Nothing you say to me can change the way I think of you."
You look into his eyes and know he is telling the truth; you've never been more thankful for him, you trust him and he knows that too. That is why when you open your mouth you tell him everything.
Everything you've kept inside all those years, the things you've had to deal with, the things you did to survive. He stays true to his word, he doesn't see you as weak or pathetic, his hand stays in yours as you talk, his grip stronger now, afraid you'll somehow disappear.
He holds you close when you start crying, muffled apologies whispered in your hair, along with "im with you"s, "im proud of you"s. You stay like that for a while, curled up in each other, kisses placed on your hair and forehead, your hands locked around his back , eyes closed. Letting it all out being the most exhausting thing you've ever had to do, but you’re relieved.
You watch as the sun comes out and know that everything will be okay.

Golden Wildfire Ch 12
My thoughts below. So, about Claude . . .
MAIN STORY
Please just tell me I don't have to kill Felix, Ingrid, Sylvain, Rodrigue, Annette, Gustave, Mercedes, Dedue, or Dimitri :(
Oh, Arval. Forgot about all of that lamo.
Are we circling back to TWSITD and the origins of Shez's powers? It really hasn't played any role in GW so far. In AG, Shez brings it up all the time (with Dimitri always saying it doesn't matter) and in SB the whole "we only promoted you bc we don't trust your power, sorry now we do" thing.
Nadar . . . doesn't want us to call off the attack. He's really a bloodthirsty jerk, isn't he?
Is Claude JUST now figuring out that taking out the Kingdom is a bad idea for the Alliance?
At least Claude's not stupid enough to not realize Edelgard won't take over the Alliance next. Begs the question then, why?
That's what I mean. This is all potentially interesting, I just think Claude's plans are all really stupid.
So, Claude sided with the Empire because he hates the church that much and actually believes all that shit? Or does he really think Edelgard will stop her war when Rhea's dead? (because she definitely does not in Houses when Rhea's captured in her prisons)
I DO like this for Dimitri though. I'm REALLY curious to see what he does. Is it too much to hope that he'll dump the church to rescue his people from war?
IDK, I just love the idea of a Dimitri willing to sacrifice anything - even his sense of right and wrong (since leaving Rhea to die when all she's done is help him IS wrong) to spare his people pain.
But I'm predicting he'll be too stubborn or not trust Claude or Sylvain furious at his father's death will ruin it
But it's also really cool to see Dimitri kinda backed into a corner with no "good" way out.
I can forgive Hopes giving Edelgard a boring af plot, writing Claude like a moron, and making me kill Blue Lions members, but if they miswrite Dimitri here (or Sylvain, kinda worried about that too tbh), I'm really going to be pissed
Also, like if Claude's plan is really just to gank Rhea to stop Edelgard's rampage, that means he really did all this twisting around just to try and stop one woman's murder rampage - why not just, like, take her out? If this is all really about the least death possible, isn't assassinating Edelgard the fastest way to keep more people from dying?
God, please, please, please have Dimitri dump Rhea to spare his people (I'd feel awful for Rhea, but I really, really hope Dimitri proves to be someone who would spare his people any pain, even at the expense of himself - when he's sane at least lamo).
On the flip side, I'm dying to play GW. It's plot may not make any sense and my opinion of Claude has tanked, but you can't say it's not entertaining.
LORENZ & LEONIE B SUPPORT
Kinda sad they only go to B. They were cute together in Houses. Seems some of the ships got turned up to 11 and others got dialed down.
Lorenz is contemplating his existence in a world where commoners don't rely on the nobility.
He's struggling to see from the commoner's POV, so he wants a commoner to serve as an advisor. Honestly, Lorenz, pretty good call.
The way Lorenz talks about Leonie and her choices, it makes it sound like history was trending towards commoners and nobles not being so rigid without Edelgard doing anything.
Leonie turns down Lorenz's offer because she wants to be a mercenary.
LORENZ & MARIANNE A SUPPORT
Lorenz wakes up after getting injured. Marianne thinks it's her fault, which I saw coming.
Lorenz thought he imagined Marianne asking for help, but she actually did.
Marianne realizes she wanted to live, hence why she called for help. So she's feeling guilty that the end result is Lorenz got hurt.
Lorenz is encouraging and is happy Marianne opened up to him.
Honestly, a better support for him than a lot of the Hopes ones.
CAMP/SIDE MAPS
Balthus is . . . really hung up on the idea of wrestling Dimitri, isn't he?
So some NPC talked about how the Kingdom is getting attacked on all fronts. I can't be the only one who finds it amusing that Dimitri with his smaller army and surrounded by enemies is doing a better job than Edelgard with her massive one lol.
When Hapi proves way smarter than Claude, knowing how massively stupid Claude's plan of "let's kill everyone they love and then force whoever is left over to listen to us! I'm sure they'll be thrilled." Hapi's like, eh, not sure this will work.
Man, Ashe is just miserable when you recruit him. I do find it kind of heartwarming in a weird way how miserable all the recruitable Lions end up being (even in Houses, moreso than the other houses at least). Ashe and Felix taking the cake, but Mercedes was regretting her life choices the last SB chapter too.
Aww, Yuri is worried about Ashe and finds Claude cruel for forcing him to fight against the Kingdom.
Holy shit, Shez really spitting facts to Claude's face, telling him his plan is a giant disaster (Dimitri won't fall for intimidation tactics, and Edelgard won't stop attacking people even after she runs out of excuses.) As insufferable as all of the Golden Deer are in this game, at least we've got stuff like this pointing out how cruel and stupid they're being.
Lamo, take only one unit into the map, as if that's a challenge. I literally only use Lorenz. This'll be easy in AG too bc Dimitri's such a beast. Dreading it in SB though.
Annette is still alive here at least :( And Rodrigue. And Gustave. (we're with the Blue Lions discussing Claude being ... GW!Claude)
Sylvain thinks Claude's an idiot lol. Dimitri and Sylvain are sussing him out.
I love how Dimitri is the only character who's goal is to avoid bloodshed among the lords. The other two are, uh, yeah.
Oh.... is Dimitri actually going to run over the church? Like I wanted? When Dimitri's the best character in GW lol.
Dimitri looking out for Sylvain, knowing how angry he is with Claude.
I had to fight Ingrid :(
SHEZ & LYSITHEA A SUPPORT
Lysithea catches Shez assuring a younger girl that she doesn't seem like a child, but an adult.
Predictably, Lysithea gets angry, because it's Lysithea, but to be fair, she's upset because Shez said the same thing and thinks Shez is being insencere.
Shez admits that it's not cool, what she did, but she's bad at advice and keeps using the same lines she's learned from stories lamo. I love Shez.
Honestly, Lysithea is kinda right to get mad here, at least I get it unlike some of the times with her.
Lamo, Shez can borrow another line from a story. I'm gonna piss her off bc I can lol.
Lysithea buys it. I wonder if it's the same line lol.
SHEZ & SHAMIR C
Having mercenary talk. I had Shez choose to ask for help. Shamir offered once she's free.
Shez comments how mature Shamir is. Shamir comments how relaxed Shez is (but it's a positive thing, not like a judgment).
They bond over having lost trusted allies, including the ones at the beginning for Shez.
Kinda boring, but honestly these two are almost too well matched, like not enough tension and just too normal lol
LYSITHEA & HILDA A
Hilda wants to gossip, but Lysithea only goes on about how awesome Holst is, so she's not interested.
She thinks he should be more careful as head of household, but Lysithea points out that he has no choice.
Hilda is worried who Holst is married. There's an ick here where Lysithea thinks that's because he's too focused on Hilda.
Hilda just talks about who Lysithea might marry, which, yeah...
Hilda offers to help Lystheia out, and some, um, implications that she'll be Lysthesia's new family - she says big sister, but there's def some ship teasing
They made Hilda really flirt with all the girls this time lol
CLAUDE & HAPI B
Hapi finds Claude easier to talk to than Edelgard and Dimitri.
Props to Hapi for telling Claude not to unload his trauma on her.
Hapi's like if you're bitching, why not just quit? Lamo.
Hapi says she'll support him.
MARIANNE & BERNADETTA A
Honestly don't remember if I've seen this in SB already or not.
Bernie likes Marianne's painting, but not her own. This is true vice versa, because of course it is.
Marianne compliments Bernie's horsemanship.
Two shy girls compliment each other, then get shy.
Then Bernie asks what Marianne wants to do after the war and Marianne becomes a Disney princess, wanting to sit in the woods with animals. Bernie wants to finish a story. Honestly, both girls picked amazing options I too want.
Bernie's story is about Marianne lamo. But Marianne isn't mad, she just wants to read it.
I really find their friendship cute, ngl.
Also, Bernie supports Dimitri, so there's no way she's NOT writing fanfic about his life because it's a never drying well there.
LORENZ & RAPHAEL C
Lorenz asks Raphael why he didn't just stay at his family's inn instead and joined the war instead
Raphael wants to keep his family safe, and thinks that following Claude will bring peace to the world (lamo) so that's why
Lorenz is more grounded, saying that all he's doing is exposing his family to the dangers of war
Which, Lorenz isn't wrong, but he also starts prattles more about nobility need to do everything and commoners nothing
But like, does Lorenz really think you can make an army out of nobles only, because, like, that just doesn't happen
Raphael is touched lamo, thinking Lorenz is concerned
Raphael just challenges him to a muscles competition
It is amusing to see Lorenz try to give his spiel and Raphael just keeps doing his own thing
Like ALL of Lorenz's supports in this game is this though, he's more repetitive than Bernedetta at this point
LORENZ & CONSTANCE A
Lorenz is bragging about himself, Constance is in the sun so she's . . . not
You know, I was thinking just how insufferable Lorenz would be in my playthrough because he's like 10 levels ahead of everyone, a god on the battlefield, always MVP - he like trounces everyone so he's be bragging and he'd be right - I wish Claude had to deal with this, watching Lorenz win the war for him and have to put up with Lorenz being Lorenz over it
They overdid it a bit with her sunshine personality - like Dimitri and Marianne are very realistic about a lack of self-worth, but Constance just comes across like a joke (and maybe that's all she's supposed to be)
Poor Lorenz is just confused and wants the normal Constance
I do have a soft spot for when male characters are desperate for the snotty side of a female character to come back (like, really just talking about Rutger and Clarine)
This is going on for too long though without any change
LYSITHEA & LEONIE B
Lysithea mistook a mercenary Leonie talked to for a bandit
But he's just someone who loot dead bodies on battlefields
I always found that kind of distasteful
Lysithea feels torn because she wants to learn about commoners more, but doesn't seem comfortable talking to people who steal coins off dead people, which same
Lysithea of course wants to know about commoner sweets
And Leonie talks about how they can't afford noble treats and likes commoner snacks (hopefully different from Chole's folk food lamo)
SHEZ & YURI C
Shez is snooping on Yuri's letter. I love that Shez is a snoop.
Yuri's pissed though, lamo. He threatens Shez's life though. That's a bit . . . much.
I'm going to pretend I didn't read it lol.
OMG YURI HAS A MOM. SOMEONE IN THIS GAME HAS A MOM.
She's ill so he was visiting her.
He's a bit needlessly sometimes.
IGNATZ & LYSITHEA B
Lysithea thinks there's something wrong with Ignatz.
She guesses right that he's unhappy, but guesses wrong that he wishes he ran his father's company instead of his brother.
He slips up that he admits he's only a knight to please his family.
Awww, Lysithea offers Ignatz the opportunity to live in Ordelia territory and does whatever he wants to afterwords.
She was actually really sweet in this support.
Also, anyone else realize that Ignatz is proof that the church/crests/inheritance isn't the one forcing children to do things they don't want to? It's human greed?
CLAUDE & HAPI A
Claude left a meeting because he was bored of people arguing. Hapi also left a meeting.
Oh, interesting, Hapi asks Claude if he would walk away if someone could take his place. Claude says no that he wants to get a lot done and can't let anyone else do it. So a really uninteresting answer.
LEONIE & LINHARDT B
Linhardt got a gift he doesn't want so he offered it to Leonie.
Lamo, Linhardt forgot the meeting he set up with Leonie.
He gives her a notebook already full, so she wants to give him something in return.
She gives him a rock that turns out to be part of an ancient relic and he gets thrilled.
Linhardt comes to the conclusion that they value the complete opposite things, but they decides they're actually not a special pairing lamo.
MAIN BATTLE
Ugh, not looking forward to this.
Wow, imagine that, the Kingdom isn't bringing them a welcoming party. Like, did Shez really expect that?
They're a bunch of psychos. They're all excited to go kill people because they're strong warriors.
"Let's see if a crushing defeat can get through Dimitri's thick skull." Because you like tried talking with him so many times before???
What is Claude smoking? He's never tried anything but bloodshed of innocent Kingdom people to accomplish anything in this route?
I see what people mean when they say this is one of the most unlikeable casts ever.
Gustave's middle name is Eddie. Not Edward. Eddie. Suffering through GW is worth knowing that.
Also, fuck, I don't want to fight Annette and Gustave, who are only defending their home.
Thank fuck, Annette retreated. Having SB flashbacks where I had to kill Annette. Annette.
And thank God that Gustave did too.
On the flip side, I sort of wish GW wasn't so wish-washy and they all died. At least SB has the guts to show there's consequences for your character's actions. But GW like to pretend only Annette and Gustave matter and it'll be ok to slaughter thousands of low born people of Faerghus every single level because they're not named.
Dimitri evacuated his citizens. I think he's literally the only lord who did that lamo. (I remember distinctly Edelgard not doing that in VW, and I don't think Claude did in CF or AM? Could be wrong about Claude).
FUCK. Dedue. If he doesn't retreat, I swear to God I can't finish this.
Oh, God, not Sylvain too.
Wait, what the fuck, Claude. His "defense" against Sylvain accusing (rightly so) Claude of invading his home and murdering his parents is that "we're all risking our lives here." I guess Faerghus is 2-for-2 whenever someone is actually allowed to criticize people who are invading them.
At least Sylvain retreated.
Dimitri appeared to defend Faerghus. I swear whoever wrote this game didn't care at all about the Golden Deer.
Oh, a cut scene. Also pretty sure Shez called Dimitri Faerghus' strongest soldier.
Well, at least Dimitri being an utter and complete badass in this game continues since Claude admitted that he could never win against him. And he needed Hilda and Lorenz to just push him back, not even defeat him.
Oh, great, more backtracking. Claude has to retreat. Does this mean I have to fight Dimitri again?
You're right, Hilda, it's the same thing all over again. God, this gets old.
It would be funny if it was the Empire, but it's probably just TWSITD. It's pretty funny Claude is the one who learns the least in Hopes vs Houses.
At least Annette and Sylvain are still alive.
Gotta love also how damn badass Faerghus is in general, fighting a 3-way battle and not losing.
Dedue is here too, my beloved.
I love seeing Claude taking another L and having to retreat again.

Thank you so much for writing some god of war stuff, I feel like there isn’t enough of it out there!😁 This is my first time doing this so I’m sorry if I’m doing it wrong. May I request a Sindri x reader with angst with happy ending and maybe some hurt/comfort?
I feel like Sindri would give the person he’s corting, because he loves smithing, is great at it and he loves you. So I imagine he wants to cort you but is very nervous and can’t decide what to make for a gift because it has to be perfect and Brok’s teasing isn’t helping matters. Meanwhile for the angst, you want to Sindri to cort you but you have a dark past and your afraid that if you tell Sindri about it he will leave you.
Ooooooh I had some FUN with this one!
Sindri x Reader ~ Consequences of the Past
TW: Violence and Blood
Another and another and another and another. His hands moved perfectly synced, his metal that of only the finest quality. Yet no matter how many times, no matter how many hours- how many days he would spend in his little shop, nothing was going right. At least, not right enough. Because what he was working on, toiling over and stressfully sweating over couldn't just be good, hel it couldn't even be great! No. It had to be everything. It had to shine with pristine shape, gleam with wondrous color, and sparkle under even the dimmest light. All of which was incredibly difficult to achieve when he couldn't even get the idea down perfectly.
"Now what's gone and got you're pants in a crack? Throwin' hammers is supposed ta be my thing you know" his brother spoke, causing a further look of annoyance to spread on his face before falling, instead replaced by nervousness upon realizing his brother shouldn't- no, couldn't know what he was doing. No no, that would be utterly humiliating, mortifying! No, he couldn't tell him.
So with burning frustration that rivaled the sweltering of the heated metal, he threw his hammer down before throwing himself into a nearby chair. He was angry at himself; at his imperfect hands and their imperfect work. He felt so incredibly defeated. He had never struggled this much with his work before! It all just came so naturally! Why now did his own skills betray him-?
"Nothing!" He quickly spat out a yell that carried both his nervousness and his irritation clearly, even if he had meant to hide them. He quickly shoved his work away, metal and tools dropping everywhere as he did. Brok simply stared a moment, holding back a laugh at his brother's frantic movements.
As if he didn't already know.
"Ifs I didn't know any better I'd say you's tryin' ta hide somethin' from me" Brok played along, Sindri swiftly turning his head in the direction of his brother, a feigned attempt at shock found in his face.
"What- of course not! I would never- me? I would never do that-" Sindri stuttered and stumbled, utterly incapable of keeping his cool. Brok chuckled a moment before taking some steps closer.
"You's about as good a liar s'a man with his thoughts on his tongue, now get on outta the way!" Brok accused, Sindri frantic to hold back his brother though not willing to touch him to do so. So the man barreled past him, grabbing at his brother's sketched drawings and failed pieces. He paused once he did so, his eyes staring over what Sindri had been so busy with the past couple of days. He was surprised by what he saw as he scanned over idea after idea. All scrapped, all not good enough. His teasing smile at having finally gotten to see these papers faded, a hint of confusion falling over him.
"Hm...what's wrong with these?" He asked, holding up the papers to him. Sindri, now unsure of how to handle the situation gave him a blank look. Did he have to tell him now? Did he already know? Why was he looking at him like that? Sindri could answer none of these questions. However, he was able to answer Broks.
"They just- they don't look right! None of them are right! They're not what they-!" Sindri paused, allowing his irritated state to cool so as not to yell anymore and understand his thoughts more clearly.
"They have to be perfect...And none of them are" Sindri finally clearly explained his actions, his face as serious as this work was to him. Brok only found his grin again, almost amused at his brother's distress over something so simple.
"Ya act like they ain't gonna like whatever ya give 'em" he commented, which made Sindri burn red with embarrassment.
'So he does know' he thought, feeling as if he just wanted to burn himself alive at his point. He soon snatched the drawing from Brok, quickly placing them back on the table as he noted to redraw them on clean paper later.
"It isn't that, It- It's supposed to be special" he finally admitted, seeing as everything was out in the open now. He heard another chuckle from Brok which earned him a slight glare as Sindri turned back to his work.
"Special huh? What for? Gonna finally tell 'em or somethin'?" Broks voice seeped into Sindri's mind, his curious yet somehow knowing tone making the poor gold-plated dwarf utterly beyond thought.
"It isn't any of your business! I-I have work to do! Leave!" He spoke as his hands gestured wildly around him. He quickly showed the blue dwarf out of the work area, though Brok laughed the whole way. Even so, he made sure not to touch Sindri as he finally left the room, leaving Sindri to his work. When silence rang again he let out a deep sigh, his eyes turning back to the papers. He would get it right, he knew it.
Just maybe not yet.

You moved slowly, pulling the weight of your sled behind you.
"Damn hunters" you muttered, aggravated at your misfortune. It had all been going so well. You had sought and killed a fine deer, you had gathered enough wood to last you weeks, and you had even gone so far as to go fishing for extra food for both you and your precious wolves. However, it had seemed too good of a night; too good to be true that is. Something was bound to go wrong.
You had been pulling up your final fish for the night when they had attacked. Those bastards, those monsters. They saw you with only one of your wolves and a pup and thought it would be easy. There had been too many and you were overwhelmed. You had managed to save yourself, though they had taken your sweet little Alruna and her mother, Brynhildr, with them. Your wolves, your only family in the abandoned landscape.
They were gone before you had a chance, along with your deer. So all you had now was your sled, your fish and your wood, all of which you pulled along yourself as you went on your way home to grab what you would need. You had been unprepared, unready. You should have known better than to travel around that area with only Bryn and her pup. You should have brought Erik. It was his pup too after all. You were just afraid to leave your home completely unattended. But those parts were as dangerous as they were plentiful, you should have taken extra measures.
But 'shoulda's' and 'only if's' wouldn't help you now. What you needed was your best tracker, some arrows and a good weapon. The first two were easy enough, seeing as they both lay in your home. The third, however, would need to be supplied.
Luckily, and rather strangely, when you made it home you saw just who you were about to go searching for.
"Sindri?" You spoke, quickly earning the dwarf's attention as he immediately turned to you.
"Y/n! I-" he paused, looking over your current state. Tired, beaten, covered in blood and with a violent look in your eyes even after they had softened when you'd seen him. His smile fell and worry quickly took its place.
"What happened?" He asked, almost timidly. He had often enjoyed your gaze on him, however the look you gave him now deeply unsettled him. He had only ever seen you calm. Those eyes usually held such care that he almost felt whole looking into them. Yet now...
He felt so small.
"They took Una and Bryn" you spoke before finally setting the reins of your sled down, quickly moving the wood out of it. You needed it to be quick, so nothing unnecessary should hold it down.
Sindri didn't speak for a long moment, taking in what you had told him as he slowly pieced it together. His eyes widened as his stomach sickened.
"Oh...oh no" was all he could think to say. Your look hardened further which made your held-back fury all the more noticeable. Once you had removed the wood you whistled, Erik appearing only a few moments later. You watched the wolf from the corner of your eye as you grabbed your arrows. He looked around, searching for the family that was no longer there. You felt a part of yourself break at the sight, horrible memories surfacing. You tried to quickly shake them away, but that never stopped them lingering in your head.
"I need a close-range weapon. Mine is at the bottom of a frozen lake" you spoke coldly, venom on your tongue.
This wasn't like you. This anger, this spitting venom. He had never seen this part of you. He understood it, you had Bryn since before he'd first met you and Una was a recent addition. but this...
You didn't even sound like yourself.
"I do," he answered cautiously. Of course he did. He was always prepared, always ready at a moment's notice to supply anything you would ever need. Sometimes you wondered how he did that. How no matter what it was, he always knew.
You wondered if he was as plentiful with his knowledge of secrets as he was with items from his endless item bag.
You lost that train of thought when Erik walked beside you, his face rubbing against your leg as he whined. Your hardened look dropped for a moment as you knelt down, taking his face in your hands as you pet him.
"Don't worry buddy. We'll get them back" you calmed him, even if you hardly believed the words yourself. Those monsters rarely had limits to their cruelty, you of all people would know that.
By the time you looked up Sindri stood beside you with a sword outstretched and concern all by hidden.
"Thank you" was all you spoke as you took the weapon. You didn't look at him as you did, afraid to meet his eyes, afraid that all you would see was everything you didn't deserve.
You quickly moved on, latching Erik to the sled, knowing he would be able to lead you to his family- your family.
You had expected Sindri to leave. Whatever he had come to ask of you clearly wouldn't be done right now and there was no time for your regular conversation and hospitality. Yet when you turned around you were surprised to see him still standing in the same spot. You both didn't move for a moment when you noticed, your eyes avoiding his yet very clearly still staring at him. Before you could ask what he wanted he spoke.
"You know, maybe I should come with you. You might need someone to watch your back" he proposed the request, something which shocked you quite a bit. He was never really the fighting type, nor was he particularly one to get his hands dirty, so having him come along certainly wasn't something you had thought of. You weren't sure what to say for a moment, but eventually you found your words.
"I don't think that's a good idea" you finally spoke, continuing to get ready for the events that lay ahead. Your answer greatly distressed him, something you knew the moment his feet hurried closer to the sled.
"It- It isn't safe to do this on your own. What if you get hurt? Or worse yet killed!" He retaliated, further surprising you. You still didn't look at him, you simply couldn't.
'Then so be it' you thought, though you didn't let the words leave your lips, knowing that it would only stress him further.
"I will be fine. I should have done this a long time ago, this is my consequence. I can't put that on you" you continued to deny him, almost fully ready to leave by this point. He, however, couldn't let this go. He stood in front of your sled, not allowing you to leave.
"Then I'll put it on myself! I'll make your consequences mine! Whatever I have to do just- just...It's too dangerous already, you can't go by yourself' he pleaded with you, almost begging at this point. Your eyes immediately shot to his, fully taken aback by his words. You felt them fly through the air before burning through your skin and flowing through your blood. You felt your heart drop, as if these were the words of death's delusion. Yet your breathing continued and your sight stayed clear. You weren't dead nor dying, simply somewhere else entirely. As if in a world you didn't belong, as if these words weren't ever met to meet your ears.
A tense silence grew as you wondered how you had ever deserved to meet this man, how you had ever grown to be in his care. Your throat tightened as you forced tears from meeting your eyes.
You knew he wouldn't let you leave without him.
"Fine...but if you die-"
"Let's not think about that" he cut you off, hesitating for a moment before taking a seat in the sled. You stayed for a second longer before quickly ushering Erik along.
A long while the sled roamed, Erik tracking down his lost family. Every few minutes you would hear him whine, which only made the fire in your blood burn hotter. Yet it was somewhat cooled by Sindri who throughout your little trip insisted on telling you random stories and bits of his past few days without you. No doubt an attempt to distract your mind, but you allowed for it anyway. Letting your memories play in a horrible repetitiveness would do little to help you now. His ramblings almost made you smile, though Erik's whinings continued to bring you back to your task.
You paused your conversation with Sindri as Erik slowed. You grew very aware of your surroundings, knowing that this is where you had first been attacked. If the sled marks and broken arrows didn't give it away, the spilled crimson and limp bodies surely did.
"What do you think happened here?" Sindri asked. You looked away from the carnage, the familiar faces serving only to sour your already bitter hatred.
"This was where I was attacked" you answered, his look lighting up with recognition at the comment before turning back to you.
"Oh...do you think we're close?" Sindri asked, unable to hide the tinge of nervousness that fell. Your eyes scanned the area with complete alertness as you searched for anything that moved.
"They hadn't ever come out this far before, so if they have a camp nearby then I certainly don't know about it" you spoke with such hatred, something Sindri picked up on quickly. You continued Erik forwards, though this time you followed tracks. Another few seconds of silence hung before Sindri spoke up again.
"You uh, you said that you should have done this a long time ago...do you know these people?" Sindri asked, the question hitting you harder than any lightning strike ever could. Your knuckles lightened as you tightened your grip. You swallowed the pain those words caused, knowing that he was likely ignorant of how deep that question dug.
"They're wolf hunters" was all you could bear to say and frankly the fact that it came out at all was a miracle. Granted it came out through gritted teeth, but it was better than silence. He nodded and, seeing that he hit a sore spot, he backed off and decided it best to distract you again. This was a much shorter distance though and soon you found Erik slowed once more.
Your alertness, though not having left since he first slowed, still managed to grow higher. You heard every slight sound. A subtle movement in the wind, a snowflake falling to the snow, a pebble tumbling to the ground; all of it caught your attention. You cautiously left the sled before silently moving to Erik, knowing better than to leave him behind in this place.
"Is this it?" Sindri asked, to which you nodded as you pulled the bow from your back. You quickly noticed the footprints and their direction and you didn't hesitate to pursue them as your two companions followed after.
All was silent as you walked, which was strange in itself. You didn't know what to expect coming here, but it wasn't this. You remember rowdy men around campfires, the whines of scared animals long forgotten in frozen caves, contests over women, of killers celebrating their feasts. Granted it's been a long while since you'd been here, and even longer since you'd joined in those festivities, but you hadn't thought you would find silence here. It almost felt unreal in a sense.
Traveling further into this cursed territory you saw familiar skulls and bones displayed proudly, as if to taunt you. You shivered in disgust, unforgettable nightmares and memories playing as you passed them.
Kill it! Unless you want it to kill you!
Slice its throat open child
No mercy for the creature!
Those horrible chants, the blood the...the blood.
You became distracted by the thoughts. It took only a moment, just that short moment of pause, for you to be suddenly surrounded.
From behind boulders, down from cliff sides and some you couldn't even begin to guess from where you saw one by one as they circled you.
You drew your arrow quickly, your back to Sindri's while making sure not to touch him. Erik let out a growl as fury filled as your venomous words had been. He ducked, ready to attack at any moment, though didn't leave your side.
Yet they didn't move closer. Despite their numbers and their advantage of surprise, they didn't attack. They only held their weapons at the ready. This was enough to cause you to pause, not releasing the arrow you had pulled. Seeing your hesitation Sindri did nothing as well, though was very much confused by your inaction.
"We're surrounded!" He yelled, stating the obvious.
"I know" you responded, your eyes searching among the unmoving group.
"Why aren't they attacking us?!" He yelled a second time, though you didn't allow it to distract you as you gave a flat answer.
"I don't know" you spoke, though as you did the group parted, allowing you to let your eyes fall on an all too familiar face.
He was scarred and ugly, his face wrinkled from years of scowling in an unpleasent angle. The pelt of a black wolf covered his back, peppered with the falling white snow. His presence pulled something out of you, something dark an hidden, an anger to rival the burning of the sun itself.
"Put the bow down Y/n" he demanded, almost scolding, as he spoke in a tongue known to only those within this evil group of killers. You didn't dare listen to him, your eyes narrowing at the figure.
"I'd rather burn my own teeth out of my head" you replied in the same language. Sindri looked between you two as you interacted, confused and unable to understand the unknown tongue you two spoke, though ready at a moment's notice to go on the attack, despite his noticeable fear of it.
"Whatever rage you feel towards me isn't worth your death. It would be best if you listened" he spoke assuredly and for a moment you stood in absolute shock at his words, absolutely appalled by them.
"Listen? To you? You kill innocent life without reason and I'm the one who has to listen? I'm the one with misplaced anger? I should kill you where you stand!" You yelled, your grip tightening once again. The man's stone-like calmness melted slightly, his own rage shining through
"You are lucky you mean anything to me after what you've done. And for an animal nonetheless! Yet you dare say I'm a killer? Need I remind you of your sister-"
"You speak of her again and I will not hold back" you cut him off, truth dripping with every word, yet he didn't stop.
"You let that wolf free and what was the first thing it did? Yet still you trusted it! That damn wolf. I should have had you kill it when you saw it-!"
You released your arrow. You didn't think, you didn't care.
The last thing you saw was your arrow hit its target, fury overtaking you as everything blended into crimson red and snowy white. You knew you were moving, that you were still standing, that you wouldn't fall any time soon. Yet it was the blood that soaked your vision. The blood of anything that stood in front of you, its crimson color covering your vision.
You didn't know how long you stayed like this. Seconds? Minutes? Hours? You had no clue. All you cared about was getting what was yours back, and killing all who stood in the way of that.
Yet when the screams died and all became quiet, the red color drained. With no other source of rage it left your body entirely. Your eyes scanned as you noticed you were surrounded by the dead bodies of your former family, your former home, their blood soaking your hands as you tightly held the bashed in head of someone long dead. You felt the warm liquid soak your face, your hand wiping it away, only to smear it further. You stood as your adrenaline left and your mind came back to you, your first rational thought coming quickly after.
'Sindri' was what first came to mind, your body swiftly turning to look for him, only for a searing pain to take over your side. Looking down you saw an arrow pierced through your skin. Your eyes widened at the sight.
"Y/n!" You heard his familiar voice yell and for a moment you felt relief, even as you fell to your knees. He ran to you, panic covering his face. You looked him over, seeing light splatters of blood on his armor. He dropped down to his knees with you, his hands hesitated, pulling back a few times in panicked movements before landing on your face.
"Oh no oh no, are you okay? Can you still see me? Are you breathing?" He asked the questions in rapid fire and you couldn't respond, too overwhelmed by the sudden situation. It was only after a moment of floundering that you managed to strangle out a response.
"I-...I'm fine. Are you okay?" You asked, looking him over for his own injuries. He nodded, clearly way more concerned with you.
"We have to get you out of here-"
"Una and Bryn" you countered, the pain of your side coming in full force. You watched him struggle to find an answer for a moment when he let out a sigh of frustration.
"I'll go look for them, you need to wait in the sled" he argued. He further shocked you as he helped you up, holding your weight on him.
"Sindri-"
"This isn't an argument" he quickly cut you off, slightly snappier. Considering the fact that he was already wildly out of his comfort zone you decided to keep your mouth shut for the time being. You whistled, thankful to see Erik run along after with only minor scratches. The wolf walked alongside you, sticking close and seeming to notice your injured state.
Sindri quickly walked you to the sled, sitting you inside of it before going to walk off. You felt your stomach drop at the sight, collections of all that could go wrong plaguing your mind as he left for the nearby cave. You tried to call out, to stop him, but your voice never came. Only your hand outstretched as he turned invisible in front of you, his footsteps the only sign he was there.
Sindri walked with careful feet, turning at any sudden sound. He felt entirely unclean in this place, as if his skin were dipped in mud even just being here. He tried to ignore the feeling for the moment, as skin crawling as it was, and instead focus on continuing forward. Yet he found that when his thoughts weren't held in his unclean state they wandered toward you. Toward something he had never seen.
He had never seen you so...gone...when the fight had started and your eyes drifted over him the only thing they seemed to recognize was that he wasn't your enemy. He had never seen you like that before. He had thought he'd known you so well. It wasn't like the two of you didn't have dark nights. Nights where in the cold of the world you two were each other's only comforts. Even in those dark moments with your eyes glazed over and your pain written in avoided glances, you had never been so full of rage. So full of hatred. It left him at a loss of what to think, a loss of what to feel. To know that someone you care for still had demons dark enough not to leave their tongue, to know that they had evils they held back even now...
What was he to think of this?
The sounds of whining quickly earned his ear, his feet following after. He felt dread overtake him at the thought that the two wolves you cared so much for might be hurt. He wondered what you would do then. Would you hold your normal calm in ultimate grief? Or would you break into whatever monster- no no not a monster, not you not you. That wasn't you. You were no monster in his eyes, you couldn't be. Not when he knew you were so capable of deep care, not when you had given him more than he ever thought possible.
To love, yet to break. To care yet to hold back. Were you who he'd met all those years ago? Or were you what he'd seen in those brief moments of violent mercilessness?
Perhaps both. But he almost couldn't fathom how you lived with both forms of yourself.
The whining led him just where he had expected, the pup coming into view and, to his relief, her mother as well. They barked upon seeing him, clawing at sturdy wooden cages. They seemed to recognize him, which was another great relief.
As he got closer his eyes fell on his surroundings, blood splatters and bones. He slowly took in the sight of other cages, empty but not out of use. He approached the two slowly, now noticing wounds and cuts. They whined when stepping on some of their paws, leading him to believe that they were harmed in some way as well. Sindri soon made it to the wooden enclosures and, despite the dry blood, opened said cages, another shiver of disgust running down his spine. They both slowly left their separate cages, Bryn immediately going to check on her pup, though both had to limp toward each other. The scene dug deep into his heart, cracking it slightly and knowing that it would devastate you the most.
He soon realized that the pup almost couldn't walk and did so only until it met its mother before collapsing into weak whines. Bryn tried to pick her pup up by the scruff, though the extra weight made her fall moments later, her front right paw too damaged to walk with the pup in her mouth. The wolf then looked to Sindri with a whining that sounded like begging as she circled her pup before walking towards him, avoiding getting too close. He already knew what he was going to have to do and he almost regretted not having brought you here with him when he had realized it.
The thought quickly reminded him that he was doing this for you. And that if he was going to get through this, he would have to keep that in mind.
So, begrudgingly, he approached the small pup. He took her into his arms as she whined, though trying to keep her at even just a slight distance. He shushed her, looking back to Bryn before walking once again, now heading back for the sled. He couldn't do much to help Bryn, seeing as she was even taller than him when standing, but she didn't seem to mind too much since he carried what he could.
The walk back to the sled went incredibly faster than his walk into the cave, something he was thankful for. It didn't take long for you to come into view, your eyes turned towards the sky until you heard footsteps approach. You turned to him not a moment later, your eyes widening in relief and pain as you tried to stand, but quickly fell back into the sled. Realizing you couldn't stand on your own you instead reached out again, ready to take the pup into your arms. The moment he was close enough he allowed you to do so, the pup almost ecstatic upon being returned to you as it quickly licked your face, even as it whined.
"Oh thank the gods you're alright! My sweet little pup" you cooed as you cradled the injured wolf, careful with each new injury you found. Bryn reunited with Erik, their affections given before you called the injured wolf into the sled. Sindri hooked Erik back up before he took a seat silently next to you, taking the reins and intending to return home quickly.
Silence. Pure silence between you two. Not a word spoken, not a glance given. He brought you to his home, a place you had been only a few times before. He sought the help of Brok to help with your injury, being as he had no problem with any sort of blood and had expirence with arrows. Upon seeing to it that you were helped, Sindri quickly went to clean off. Brok noted his brother's strange demeanor but sought to help you instead of following him, at his brother's request.
-
You were lucky the arrow didn't hit anything important, but that didn't make the injury hurt any less. You had been laying in this room meant only for storage but quickly made into a sleeping area for a few hours now, having only moved to change your bloodied clothing and wash your crimson skin in a water bucket. You couldn't get up without pain, but you had the comfort of your wolves nearby, their wounds taken care of as well. Una laid curled with her mother on the floor while Erik laid near you as you gently pet him. He seemed to be on alert, taking in every sound with a quick flick of his ear. You understood his paranoia, but you tried to calm him anyway. It only seemed to help a little.
You found your thoughts wandering, as hard as you tried to push them from your head. The thoughts of your old life, of a place you once called home. It sickened you whenever your mind would wander back there, replaying horrible scenes and deep regrets. There was no comfort to be found in those memories, no silver lining. Just a person you wished was separate from yourself. A person you wish you had never been.
A person you knew he could never love.
You didn't know how you were going to explain this to him. You could see it on his face the entire ride here. That look of uncertainty, of discomfort. He had seen you in that state, that hateful state. You had never been so furious before. You could only imagine the questions he would have. Why were you so violent? Why hadn't they killed you on sight? What had the man said to you? What did you say in return? It would make no sense to him unless you told him everything you had wished to lock away and forget. Would it be better not to tell him? Would he forgive you if you didn't? Would he still see you the same if you told him?
Was it already too late?
The questions plagued you along with the memories. You didn't have a clue what words would fall when you saw him next, or if any would leave at all. But you supposed it didn't matter.
Your first mistake was ever daring to think you deserved that type of care-
A knock came at your door. Three, precise and quick. You already knew who it was.
"Come in" you answered, hearing the door open not a moment later. You didn't turn to him despite the pull of your heart.
His feet walked slowly forward, the light sound of moving armor telling you he was close before he took a seat near you. Silence remained for a moment longer before he spoke.
"Are you feeling okay?" He asked with a tone far from his usual stumbling and speed. The sound gave you a deep feeling of dread.
"It doesn't hurt" you replied, the wound on your side painless as long as you didn't move. Another excruciating silence covered the room, the words on your tongue held behind your lips. It only took a few more moments for Sindri to be unable to take this silence.
"What...happened?" He finally asked. The question caused you to close your eyes as if doing so would protect you from the words. You gave him no answer, your head turning away as your petting of Erik ceased, his head slightly rising as you did.
"Y/n, what happened?" He asked again, his voice louder, more demanding this time. Your nose scrunched upward at the sound, the syllables themselves painful. You still gave no answer.
"You're hiding something, I know it. Just- just tell me! Why aren't you telling me-"
"Because you'll hate me!" You broke, your eyes opening as they finally turned to him with their rageful glow showing once more, though it wasn't him that it was reflected towards. His face turned to shock, yours immediately falling to regret as you quickly turned away again, wincing slightly as your body moved. You felt the pressure of tears grow behind your eyes but you pushed them down. You didn't deserve his sympathy.
"You don't know that" he spoke again, though with not as much conviction as before. You scowled at the comment as it was him who didn't know.
"I do" you answered back, your voice more steadfast in your belief than his.  He panicked slightly.
"Then tell me" he requested, your look turning hateful at the request.
"If I'll hate you for your past, and I know that now, then why not tell me? What more damage would it cause?" He requested a second time, fear bubbling beneath your skin that quickly turned to anger.
"Fine" you answered as you forced yourself to sit up. Sindri's hands reached for a moment, panic written on his face as he retracted them and continued the action in a repeated motion until you sat, your breath heaving as you let the sudden pain dull before speaking again.
"I was one of those hunters. I would torture and kill anything laid in front of me. We didn't do it for just food, but for fun. We would sometimes let the wolves out just to hunt them again. We'd kill their pups in front of them, we'd eat feasts of their kin as they starved. We'd laugh when they whined. And it didn't end with just the animals. The weak among us would be used as entertainment. We'd throw them in the cages with the starving wolves and make bets on how long they would live. The kids would entertain themselves by throwing rocks at the wolves and I partook as well. You earned points depending on how close to the head you hit" you spilled every bad memory that flooded through your head, every repeated nightmare, every waking remembrance. It flowed like blood from your lips. You paused only as your voice shook, your tears no longer held back. Yet you continued even as they fell.
"I was going to be their leader had I stayed. I was respected by them" you admitted, your hands shaking, your mouth dry with fear. You didn't look at him, you couldn't look at him. You couldn't bear to watch your first friend outside of that horrid camp, your first love without violence, slip through your crimson-covered hands. It hurt too much to watch, it was too painful to bear.
He reached for you, hesitating only one last moment before landing a hand on your shaky one. Confusion and struck through you, your head shooting to look at him, baffled upon seeing a look of sympathy even after your horrid re-telling. He seemed to struggle to find the right words for a moment before he spoke.
"But that isn't who you are now" he spoke his found words in a whisper, your eyes widening even further, baffled by his acceptance of this. You slowly shook your head, denying his words.
"But that was who I was. That was me Sindri. I did all of those things, I didn't even think twice about it! I-I killed them! I killed people and wolves alike! I was a monster!" You fought back, desperation in your voice.
He should have pulled away in horror, he should have left you with the pain of yourself, he should have never wanted to so much as look at you after what you told him!
You found that both of his hands wrapped around the one he already held as he lightly squeezed
"But you don't do those things now, do you?" He asked, your body shaking as you tried to pull back your tears, to hide yourself, to be anywhere else.
"It doesn't matter-"
"It does Y/n. It means everything. You didn't stay, you changed. That...That version of you- it isn't who I see, who I care about. You're kind and caring and gentle. You aren't that person anymore." He quietly argued with you, his body leaning closer as opposed to his usual distance.
"You risked your life to save those wolves, that could have been your end. That has to mean something" He spoke with a soft yet frantic voice, pleading found in it as he held your hand tighter. You looked at your held hand, wondering what could have overcome him to touch you. It was a comfort you didn't expect on a normal day, and surely not one you expected now. You looked back into his eyes and wondered why. Why did he care so much? Why wasn't he afraid of you?
You crumbled. In the care of someone who looked at your past and saw through it you could no longer stand tall. You had prepared for pain, not comfort. Your sobs left before you could stop them as you found yourself shockingly falling into his open arms. Your head rested against his cold chest plate as he attempted to soothe you with a tighter grip. You two remained this way for an amount of time you couldn't keep track of, though it didn't seem to matter when you were this close. All faded away, nothing but him and your soul's wounds seemed to matter. To think that he would hold you like this, that you were able to be in his grasp at all, it all felt like a dream.
Eventually though, after coming to enough of your senses and calming your sobs, you pulled away. You felt his grip tighten for a moment longer before he finally let go, instead helping you back into a less painful position. Once contact had left you felt calmer, your fear and anger had melted away in his arms.
"Thank you" you spoke in a whisper, though you knew the words barely made a dent in your gratitude towards him.
"Anything, anytime" he answered back and you knew that he meant it. This wasn't his only time he's been there for you and now you knew that it wouldn't be the last.
Your feelings of gratitude were quickly replaced with guilt as you noticed the tears you had left behind on his armor, something he seemed very aware of as well.
"I'm sorry I-I should have-"
"It's okay. I'll just uh, find something else to wear...later" his discomfort was known as he spoke though he seemed to be trying pretty hard to hide it. And despite your still flowing feelings of regret and shame, it got a small laugh from you. Even if the laugh sounded anything but joyful.
The silence seemed less painful now. Or at least a little calmer. Neither of you knew what to say at this point so you decided to ask a less meaningful question, hoping to lighten the air a little, perhaps to once again forget that part of yourself.
"Why were you at my house anyway?" You curiosity asked through a strained voice. The question caught him off guard. So off guard in fact that he nearly touched his neck with his dirty glove, stopping just before doing so but then having no way to get rid of the sudden nervousness that seeped into him.
"Well, I um- I- well um" he stuttered and tripped over words he couldn't quite string together. The sight made you smile slightly, seeing him speak as he usually did made you calm a little, as it always did.
Your smile, however, did not help his sudden state of nervousness.
"I...I made something for you" he admitted, his eyes now turned from your own as his hands found it hard to stay still. You cocked a brow at his words, curiosity temporarily numbing your previous guilt and worry.
"Really? Can I see it?" You asked. He nodded, reaching into his bag to grab said gift. He preferred this change of mood. He'd happily toil over a thousand more of them just to keep this change.
"It's not much. I just had some free time and I uh. Well I thought you might like it" his nervousness was only more apparent the more he talked. You had always found it sweet when he got like that, especially after a long conversation without it. It was as if sometimes he forgot how to speak, or at least how to speak clearly. A thought that made your smile widen as the idea of the dwarf with such skill, renowned for his weapon making, forgetting something so simple.
You had expected a small knife of some kind, or perhaps some new arrows. Any form of small weapon really. So you were surprised to see him pull out a cloth that covered a strange shape; too strange of a shape to be any sort of weapon. He outstretched the item to you and you gave him a strange stare for a moment before gingerly taking the palm-sized gift. You continued to stare at him for a second longer before gently removing the fine cloth revealing...
A metal wolf. One you quickly knew to be Una, the small size and memorable marks showing as such. It was beautifully made, down to the smallest detail. You could practically see her in it, its shining beauty a sight to behold.
You gently picked up the metal piece into both hands, utterly in love with it already. Your eyes then shifted back to the man you had come to adore to see him staring with his own smile along with warm eyes you found such comfort in.
"It's perfect...thank you" your smile beamed and he returned the gesture. However, you noticed how his hands twitched and his body had a hard time sitting still. It was then you knew the moment had passed.
"You probably want to go change now-"
"Yep!" He immediately answered, standing from his spot as his body shuttered. He nearly tripped over himself while trying to leave, which you had to hold back from laughing at. He turned around just before he left, his smile still wide yet now very strained.
"Glad you liked the gift!" He almost yelled before finally leaving the room. You held your smile still, your head slightly shaking at the sight. You then turned back to the gift, your thumb gently gliding over the metal.
For the first time in your life you felt like you might be free of the pasts grip.

So like, mini disclaimer before the post. I was not and am not a believer in the "Sonic is going to be forced to choose between his original friends and the shatterspace variants" theory, nor the companion to it "all the variants are just gonna essentially live with their memories inside the og friends' hearts"
However, I do have brainrot over the idea of Nine meeting Tails in his dreams, and some of these ideas require a prerequisite of "in which Nine exists within Tails' heart but does not currently have a body.
Imagine, if you will, a setting post canon in which the variants exist within the hearts of the original and (kingdom hearts style) they would just need a body/vessel of their own to exist again. Tails is sleeping, and after dreams upon dreams of meeting the variants, experiencing their fleeting memories and their hurt (their feelings about everything), he comes across Nine.
Nine... Tails has had a hard time remembering much of his dreams while awake, but when he's dreaming, he remembers that Nine has been perhaps the angriest and most conflicted of all the variants. All of them want to be alive, of course. Tails wouldn't be surprised if *all* of them have been parsing through his own memories in exchange for sharing theirs.
But none have been so volatile as Nine, harder to reason with. The others at least face him more often than not, but Nine has directly done so few times.
But...Tails can't blame him for that, especially not after what he knows. He understands how Nine likely feels (abandoned, lonely, forgotten). Perhaps he wouldn't be so agreeable either if he fought tooth and nail for a better future, and the universe denied him that (nay, punished him to watch but to never have).
But tonight...
Nine is standing under a palm tree, facing the vast ocean past the beaches of Green Hill. Tails takes a few steps down the hill he's on, and soon enough he's standing off to the side (dream logic, he understands)—where he can see Nine from the front, but isn't standing directly in front of him or obstructing his view.
It's at this moment that Tails realizes he's never seen Nine so clearly before. The tips of his ears, to his permafrown, to his 7 mechanical tails, and down to his shoes. He's fought the fox before in his dreams, seen glimpses of him, but this is the first time he's had a chance to really see him.
Nine turns his head away from the sea, and suddenly Tails is beside him, mere feet away.
Tails opens his mouth, a dozen questions and sentence starters flying through his head. What eventually comes out is just a simple, "Nine?"
Nine smiles at that, and yet...Tails can tell almost instantly that it's not because he's happy or excited to see him. No, the smile is almost...accepting, if not a little bit sad.
Then, Nine sighs. "This could have been the other way around, but...it has to be you."
Tails hesitates for a moment before pointing at himself. "...Me? Why?"
"There are so many people connected to you—all of you, if my hypothesis is correct. It often is. You're me, so...you can feel what I felt. You could...feel how I feel."
And maybe it's true that Tails can feel what Mangey, Sails, and Nine are feeling, but all that proves is that one is affected by the presence of others residing within their own consciousness.
Tails shakes his head. "No. You're you, not me."
There's a moment of silence before Nine chuckles, and Tails continues, "I want you to know that you deserve to live as your own person, just as much as I do."
"Every time we've fought—here—I've asked you the same question. Do you remember it?"
Well, of course, Tails finds multiple questions as he tries to think back, but by keeping the terms of Nine's question in mind and employing process of elimination–
Nine turns back to the sea, squeezing both gloved hands into fists at his sides. "I was angry—among other things. I just couldn't understand why I was here. After everything I'd fought for, everything we'd been through together, I couldn't understand why he chose you. And every time I asked, you never gave me an answer."
Nine's right. Tails has never given him an answer to that question.
But to Tails...that question was never his to answer, at least in his opinion. Unless Sonic told him, Tails would never know why he put in for him, Amy, Knuckles, and Rouge over worlds of new friends. All he does know (straight from Sonic's own testimony) is that Sonic would have never made the choice he did had he known it would lead to all this. Sonic had wanted home, Tails, and all his friends back, but he never meant to erase the other worlds. Even as he tries to pretend otherwise, Tails knows Sonic has been beating himself up for the choice he made ever since.
Shouldn't Nine know that—that Sonic didn't mean to hurt him, that Sonic feels regret, that Sonic wasn't intending to choose between one or the other?
"Nine–"
"Save it," Nine says, cutting him off. "It doesn't matter anymore. Sonic made his choice, but you still have that chance."
Nine turns back to Tails and holds out a hand.
Tails looks down, then back up at Nine. He hesitates for a second, but ultimately takes Nine's hand.
Tails is an observer, a spectator without form, as memories begin to play out before him in quick succession. Despite the lack of form, somehow his head begins to ache in pain that only grows over the moments.
And then, he begins to notice a pattern in the memories shown to him. Despite the pain, he recognizes the clear shift since a certain blue hedgehog—Sonic, of course—saves Nine from being hit by a train.
Each and every memory, if Sonic wasn't centered or mentioned in it, then his palpable absense was the focal point. Nine fought him, he worked with him, he almost lost him, he thought he lost him, and then he fought him again.
Nine had spent most of his life lonely, though he hadn't realized that until his life was almost over.
A waterfall of emotions hit him then, just before the highlight reel crackles into black.
And then, Tails is standing beside Nine again, head pulsing and heart pounding. He can hardly remember what he's just seen, and that waterfall of emotions seeps through his fingers as he tries to catch them, to study them.
All he knows is that he understands. Somehow, he understands why Nine feels the way he does. Now, more than before, he understands why Nine is hung up on Sonic the way he is.
Perhaps, Tails thinks, he understands how it feels for Nine to be with Sonic (and without him) far more than anyone else.
Tails musters up a look of determination as he stares into Nine's eyes, and he squeezes his hand. "I'll figure it out. No matter how long it takes, I'll make sure you—you, and Sails, and Mangey, and the rest—can walk along the beach. You don't deserve to sit here and watch like this. None of you deserved to have your lives taken."
And Nine... Nine smiles, like he just can't help it. "Don't you see? That's why it has to be you."
There's a feeling, an almost indescribable feeling, that strikes Tails' heart at that.
"I promise," Tails says.
And then, he’s sitting up in his bed, breathing deeply.
As he makes himself get up, get ready, and rush into his lab, there's little he remembers from his dream as always.
But he knows what he has to do.
I'll make sure of it, Nine.

Part 3 - Clexa x reader headcannons
This got longer that i wanted to :)
Lol at this point really this feels more like the bones of a fic that i was too lazy to elaborate. Oh wait. It is exactly that. Enjoy.
Part 2
Warnings: Violence. Nothing too explicit. And self deprecating thoughts :)
- An internal war was brewing. Azgeda against the coalition. Against Lexa.
- Lexa needed help. Clarke's help.
- A coup was happening. There were infiltrators amongst her people trying to undermine Lexa. Saying she wasn't the true commander. Not fit to lead. Not loyal to their ways. Weak.
- She needed you.
- Days later, you got a visitor. Though, it wasn't who you were expecting.
- Clarke? Yes. Lexa? She would have to eventually face you. Now, Adrien? Well, you couldn't hold the tears when you saw the blond teenager.
- "Adrien!"
- "Sorry for the delay, they wouldn't let me pass."
- You laughed while you sniffed and tried to clean you tears.
"And now they did?"
- "Not really" he shrugged. At seeing your raised eyebrow, he smiled cheekly. "I have my ways."
- You would be lying if you said you weren't a little bit proud.
- "What have you come here for?"
- "What do you mean? I came to see you!"
- You almost burst into tears.
- You cheer up, though. And ask him about how he was doing. And he tells you, in a boyish way. Something that he only ever did in front of you or Lexa.
- It always warms you heart to see him that way. Relaxed, free to be the kid he was, without the weight of his destiny as a natblida.
- He asks you about your time. And you try your damn best to make him laugh. You are sucessful.
- "Oh! You were with the Wanheda! Yeah! Lexa introduced me to her once. She seems smart."
- You smile. "She is very smart."
- You get confused though. Lexa was very protective of Adrien.
- "Why, Why did she introduce you two?"
- You didn't know much about Lexa and Clarke's relationship. Sure, you were there at the beginning, but not much after.
- So you were suspicious at the very least.
- Clarke forgave Lexa. And, apparently, Lexa trusted Wanheda enough to introduce her to Adrien.
- To you, that was telling a lot.
- "She wanted me to promise to Clarke when i become Heda i'd protect the skaikru."
- "What? Why would she want that? Why would she do that? She's not dead! Nor is going to die! We're not in the middle of a war or something? Are we? How long have i been here? Is Lexa in danger? Does she need help? I have to leave this cell! I have to make sure she doesn't get hurt!"
- You were spiraling. Adrien needed a few tries to get you to breath.
- "Heda is fine! She's not in danger! She's okay!"
- She's okay. She's okay.
- Adrien doesn't stay long after that. He was going to be caught if he didn't leave soon.
- Lexa doesn't take much longer to come to you.
- "Heda" you tilt your head in respect.
- She stays in silence and positions herself right in front of you. Head held high, arms behind her back just like the disciplined leader she was.
- You wait for her. You give her time.
- And while she was in silence trying to not break your neck or something, you make an assessment of her.
- She was in her clothes of Heda. No guards behind her.
- No injuries either. Good.
- Her hair was in it's usual style. Her green eyes seemed to shine a little brighter. Her shoulders weren't as heavy.
- Clarke, you presumed. Somehow, Clarke was helping Lexa. Just like the way she helped you.
- Days i couldn't get out of bed, she was there. I hope she is there for you and you are there for her.
- You heart then seemed to ache.
- You realize. Shit. Wait...
- You saw them in the beginning. And you could sense now. They are together, aren't they?
- You are happy for them. They deserve eachother. No one was more deserving.
- "Love is weak." but you could bet their love could conquer the world.
- As i would for you.
- A selfish part of you wanted them to you. To be with them.
- You knew you felt something for Clarke.
And though your relationship with Lexa was complicated, you couldn't not care for her. For the both of them.
- You just wish for more. To be more.
- But, that's impossible. You would do them no good.
- You were a spy. An assassin. A traitor.
- You look at the now frowning Heda. You betrayed and almost killed Lexa.
- At somepoint, maybe, you would've done the same to Clarke.
- Yes. They deserve eachother, and you belonged nowhere.
- A traitor the Ice Nation and the coalition. A traitor to Lexa.
- Your chest felt like it was squeezing. You couldn't hold the heavy and defeaning gaze of the Heda.
- So, you spoke.
- "Are you going to speak? Have you came here to just look at me and bask in my misery? Or do you have something important to say? Perphaps my death sentence."
- "Do you want your death? Do you think you deserve to live after what you've done?"
- For some reason, Clarke's words come to you.
- "We all make mistakes, Heda. I can't erase mine, so i shall take the consequences. Whatever you deem suitable, i will take it. If i have to die, then so be it. Just get to it."
- Lexa stays quiet at that. This time, not for long.
- "You will have a... Second chance... To prove yourself."
- You weren't expecting that. People from earth weren't... Merciful. Neither was Lexa. Not for something like treason. You still remembered Gustus.
- It seemed like that wasn't the case anymore.
- "How... How do want me to prove myself?"
- "Doing what you are acquainted with. Spying."
- You understand then. You are not getting second chance. No. You are going to serve Lexa, to be used and then discarded.
- She doesn't tell you anything more. She just calls for the guards and they just... Open you cell.
- You knew she said you'd be in probation, still, you were shocked.
- "Do you remember how to walk?" Lexa says, looking at you over her shoulder when you don't follow her. "or have you grown attached to your cell?"
- You shake yourself from your stupor.
- You go to the throne room(?) and there she is, Clarke.
- You give her a smile, though it weakens when you remember. You do her no good. You are only means to an end. A knive to help killing their enemies.
- You mean nothing. You can't. You won't.
- She notices your lack of enthusiasm. And that makes the bright smile on her face simmer down.
- You don't waste time on formalities or trivialities. You go straight to the point.
- They needed your help. Lexa needed your help.
- Lexa alongside Clarke explains everything.
- They make a great pair.
- People were trying to undermine Lexa's people and throw them against her.
- They were afraid of a coup. Of the other nations breaking the aliance and rebelling against Lexa and, most likely, joining Nia.
- When you realize Nia is alive, you don't really know what to do. Or feel. So you do your best to brush that aside.
- What you were needed to do was simple. You did things more dangerous and complicated. You needed to pretend to want to destroy Lexa, get into this little group and then report what you found out to Heda and Wanheda.
- Easy.
- "It will be done, Heda." you said serious.
- "Good."
- You never ran out of a room so fast.
Only maybe when you tried to kill your Heda.
- You just roam around. Not knowing just where to go. You didn't want to go back to your cell nor did you knew if could just get out.
- Everything felt awfully familliar.
- So familliar and yet so foreign. So out of place.
- Your mind was swelling with so many thoughts and your body with so many feelings. You felt like you could throw up.
- The bliss of solitude doesn't last long.
- Clarke reaches you.
- At first, she is silence. A very welcomed quiet.
- But all good things must come to an end.
- She asks how you are.
- You almost laugh at how ridiculous that felt. And almost tear up at how all seemed to bubble up in your throat, begging to be released, for you to throw up.
- You swallow, feeling a burning and acid in your throat.
- "I am ecstastic. I will be freed. How thrilling."
- "You used to be a much better liar than this."
- "Maybe you just used to be denser."
- "Maybe."
- She doesn't speak again. And for some dumb and sentimental reason, you felt yourself spilling words as if they were choking you.
- "There wasn't many people that knew me, truly know me. Just one. My... Friend. He was perceptive, but more than just that. He knew me."
- Ronan was like a brother to you.
- You grew up with no family, no friends.
- Treated by everyone only as a weapon for the kingdom. Except Ronan.
- He trained alongside you.
- You were molded to be a ruthless assassin and he was molded to be an unstoppable warrior.
- You sometimes faced the same training or task.
- Learning how to move in a fight.
- Analyzing each and every types of weapons.
- Hunting wild animals.
- Torturing enemies.
- Killing comrades.
- On a task when you were 12 years old, you were released into the forest with the task of finding and then dueling each other.
- you were supposed to be silent, agile and deadly.
- He must be brute, merciless to attack and quick to defend.
- You found him, but he's the one who knocked you out.
- That day, in that way, he earned your respect.
- And somewhere along the way, you became… friends.
- And a year later, when he took the blame for stealing a loaf of bread for you, he became a brother.
- You watched the 13-year-old boy's punishment with horror.  But also with relief.
- It would have been you there.
- When asked why he took the whipping instead, he simply shrugged his shoulders and said:
"You're pretty skinny, I don't think you would have held up."
- At the time, he was the only person besides the queen you trusted.
-You missed him.
- Now, having also betrayed Queen Nia, you understood Ronan. Even if the tinniest bit.
- He had to save Costia. You only imagine how his failure must weight on him.
- You imagine if you had killed Lexa. And your stomach churns.
- Clarke tells you of Ronan. He was the one that kidnapped her.
- Of course. You should've known, but you were preocupied by something else. Like getting Clarke safe.
- "Is he... Is he still here? In Polis?"
- "I don't know. Maybe. Lexa must know."
- You didn't have the energy to talk to Lexa or to go after Ronan or do anything.
- You just wanted to sleep.
- You say your goodbyes to Clarke. You don't explain.
- You see that she's hesitant to let you alone, but doesn't push.
- Good. You really wanted some time to just be. And get a good long sleep.
- Not knowing whereelse to go, you go back to your cell.
- The guards were confused, but let you in regardless.
- You pay them no mind.
- You just... Lay in the hard cold ground. You were already used to that.
- You are going to be used. She wants you to do her dirty work to save herself.
- It turns out, despite all the sadness you felt, you didn't care all that much.
- As long as she is safe, you would be fine.
- As long as they are happy.

I'd like to request some litchi relationship hcs possibly with a reader that gets hurt a lot and ends up at her clinic.
BLAZBLUE ASK LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO
Holy fuck I ended up making this a long ass post for just one character, Jesus Christ. Blazblue just does that to me I guess lmao, especially since it's my first post for it. Hope you enjoy, this was a ton of fun to do.
Obviously for the sake of this ask, Litchi didn't have any romantic attraction to Roy. She's trying to save a friend from a horrific fate.
Litchi Faye-Ling
Tumblr media
-The two of you first met when Litchi joined Sector Seven, you were working under Kokonoe just like her and Roy, but instead of a scientist working in the lab like them you were one of the professor's field agents.
-Just like everyone else you quickly started picking up on Roy going insane. Then the whole ordeal happened when he fell into the Boundary, came out as...whatever the fuck that thing was, and Litchi soon left. She really didn't want to leave you, but she felt as if she needed to go save Roy.
-As much as it hurt, you respected her wishes, and the two of you promised to see each other again someday.
-Fast forward to after the Ikaruga Civil War ended, and you're out doing field work for Kokonoe in Kagutsuchi. You're confronted by some NOL officers that tell you a level D alert has been enacted in the city due to rumors of the criminal known as the Grim Reaper being here and that you're to leave immediately.
-Naturally you stand your ground. You're on a mission for Kokonoe and frankly you don't wanna find out the consequences of failing. A battle inevitably breaks out, you barely manage to get out of that shitshow, though not without a healthy dose of wounds.
-You honestly have no idea where you are at this point, however you see a building nearby that looks like a clinic. Seeing nowhere else to go, you take the liberty of inviting yourself in, holding your side in an attempt to hold back the bleeding.
-Imagine the surprise on both yours and Litchi's faces when you come through the door. Once the shock subsides it quickly turns into confusion and then worry once she sees the state you're in.
-You're probably out of commission for at least a couple weeks, and once Litchi makes sure you're not going to die, the anxiety calms down. It's been quite a while since you two last saw each other, so you have a good time catching up. What has Litchi been doing since she left? How'd she end up here starting a clinic while following Roy? How are Tager and Kokonoe doing?
-Soon you're deemed healed enough to leave, however being a field agent for someone like Kokonoe of all people it's only a matter of time before you find yourself trudging back to the small clinic out in Orient Town.
-With each passing visit Litchi only worries more and more for you. Eventually old feelings start to resurface and she realizes exactly where this worry stems from.
-One day you get a bit too brash and come back with particularly bad injuries, ones that could've potentially been fatal. you barely make through the door of clinic before passing out. Upon finally waking up you receive a pretty good scolding from the doctor about you needing to be more careful. Is it just you or does there seem to be a small hint of color on her face...?
-Once she finally calms down you confront her about it. It was really a simple question of her seeming more worried than usual, yet it's enough to make her freeze up. Eventually she knows she can't hide the truth anymore, and finally reveals what she's been feeling ever since your days at Sector Seven together.
-Being taken aback that such a kind, smart, and drop-dead gorgeous woman felt that way about you, you are more than happy to return her affections.
-Being a doctor, Litchi naturally feels the urge to take care of you. There may or may not be some naughty thoughts going through both your heads about a "thorough examination" lmao.
-This is the kind of woman you should wish to have. Being as stubborn as she is in saving Roy, that kind of loyalty will naturally be extended to her partner. She will risk it all for you if it means keeping you safe. You will not find a more dedicated and loyal partner than her.
-A relationship with her would be...a work in progress. There's a fair bit of emotional baggage on her part especially due to her mission in saving Roy. Though having known Roy yourself you're more than willing to help out in anyway you can. Whether that's through your field expertise, helping her test out some new method you might find of pulling someone out of the Boundary, trying to squeeze whatever info you can from Kokonoe without revealing your intentions, or just in general acting as emotional support You're there for her just as much as she is for you when it matters.
-Overall, a relationship with Litchi is extremely fulfilling in every possible way as long as both of you put in the work, and I mean every possible way. I'll leave that part up to your imagination...

So. I've finished binge-watching Pit Babe.
and I have opinions. (yes I am aware it came out like a year ago. who cares) so, with very little order :
Tony died!! Yeah!! ngl, at one point I hoped Babe's father would come in to kill him, but Kenta doing it is even more satisfying so i'm happy with it. also those knife sounds were great. 10/10 no notes.
Babe's father was very obvious as Babe's father the second we met him. it's not necessarily a problem, i just found it funny that they were trying to create a mystery around him.
i didn't know it was an omegaverse when i began watching the show, but it was a pretty sanitized omegaverse, all things considered. no mentions of heat/rut, knotting, mate, pack, mating bite, bond, nesting. the mpreg was only implied. the word omega was uttered exactly once. beyond Tony wanting only alpha kids (with no explanation of what an alpha is), the plot to get a child from Babe, and Babe's fixation on his partner's smell (and most likely, Babe and Charlie's fixation on each other's neck), i often forgot it was an omegaverse. i understand not wanting to scare newbies, omegaverse can be wild, but i was surprised with how little we got of the common tropes. its not a flaw, i was just surprised.
Sonic needs to tell North he loves him. the guy is clearly ready to die for you. just because he's too stupid to realize he's in love with you doesn't mean he isn't.
also this two idiots were still in the building!! i thought they got the USB and then got out to publish the videos! but no! these two idiots were still in the building! thank fuck Kim was close by!!! (he was probably there on purpose, yes, but still. they should have gotten out!)
Way stays a walking red flag until his very last breath and I hate that for him. don't get me wrong, I saw his death coming. he was unredeemable, and we don't want the audience to hate him, so of course he was gonna die. i really don't like this trope, I'd rather he left Babe and X-Hunter behind and got a new chance with Pete, who was clearly ready to give him one and also who he hadn't betrayed and hurt in the worst way possible. but no, that's not how the trope works. he dies. because we don't know how to redeem characters without killing them. and to make the matter worst, he dies having one of his most fucked up interactions with Babe yet, and that's saying something considering his track record, confessing his love for the nth time which was understandable but already awkward on its own, and then asking if Babe ever loved him back when he has made very clear several times that he saw Way as his closest friend and nothing else, begging for forgiveness for trying to rape Babe, i swear to god!! the correct thing to say at this point was "i'm sorry i ever hurt you, i hope you get to be happy with Charlie, don't blame yourself for my death". instead, he gave him enough therapy material for the next decade! with one conversation! how the fuck is Babe supposed to grieve Way, or make peace with anything he has done to him, after that kind of last breath!
(seriously, i probably have enough to say about Way to write an entire essay. the man was fucked up)
Kim has now been officially adopted in the family, he's even invited to the funerals! (i am aware he was still Tony's prisoner during Charlie's funeral, i just found it funny.) we did not see enough of Kim after Tony imprisoned him btw. he is one of my favorite characters in this show and he deserved more screen time!
Did Charlie stole a power that just- teleport him to Babe when he's in danger? this is a least the second time he just appeared out of nowhere to save Babe with no explanation, and with a perfect timing at that.
Babe deserved to scream at Charlie for faking his death. Or a least have a breakdown the like of the one he had with his father. The reunion scene was great and emotional and shit, and it was adequate for the context, but i needed them to have a real conversation about it later. will look for fanfics on the matter.
my man Babe is gonna have so many trust issues it's not even funny anymore. like mate. both his fathers betrayed him (and sold him, though for different reasons), his best friend of 10 years betrayed him in one of the worst way possible, one of his other teammates betrayed him, and his boyfriend has been lying to him the entire time the have known each other, to the point of faking his death without telling him he was alive. listen, i was berating him every time he pushed Charlie away at the slightest sign of dishonesty because I don't like that trope, but I think in this case he was justified. it's going to be fun to get him to trust anyone ever again!
also that man can cry! and make me cry with him at that! like, i knew Charlie's death was a fake out, and i knew it was coming, but episode 10 still got me in tears because Babe's grief was fucking real. giving him his senses back just for him to hear his lover flat-line on the operation table was incredibly cruel. also "He's still warm. Maybe he's not dead yet". are you trying to kill me? also also : did he say "i love you" for the first time at Charlie's grave? because i think he did.
overall, pretty good execution of the fake death trope, they gave us time to feel the grief before revealing he was alive, it worked. (did the plot around said fake death make sense? not... quite? but the feels were there and that's what matters)
Jeff is my baby and i love him. he got a lover and a support system and that's great, though they could do with better communication and still have shit to learn about respecting boundaries. which is saying something because Jeff tends to be pretty fucking clear about his boundaries. i'm watching you Alan. also i've decided he's autistic. for obvious reasons.
the whole "papa and mama" thing Babe and Charlie have going on is not my thing, but it is particularly weird in a context where the last two men Babe called "Papa" betrayed him and hurt him terribly. i get that what they have going on is different, like it's not a daddy kink (which would have been even weirder), but it still left a weird taste in my mouth. i just - i don't know what to make of it. i don't think they got the implication of it when making the show?
Babe and Charlie both need therapy to a desperate level, and i do not trust any of them to try to get it on their own. let's hope the rest of the family team manages to get them there. i'm mostly counting on Jeff to start the movement on this one. and then the others can nicely bully them into getting professional help.

@ashrifts said: 🍻+ “ do you regret letting me close ?” for izana :)
send 🍻 + a question for my muse's drunken (honest) answer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It would be hard for most people to realize that Izana's gone past his limits with alcohol. It isn't a new thing, but it also isn't something that is common either. Normally he drinks just enough to relax and escape his head. Tonight he's gone well past that though his steady gaze doesn't show the typical signs of drunkenness. But he needs out, it's too loud and crowded and the fun from the first hour is replaced by misery. He turns and there's a subtle wobble, quickly fixed but evidently not quick enough when a familiar presence manifests by his side. His head pounds as he leans against Ran and he makes his intentions clear. Outside. At least for a bit. Sometimes he leaves when he takes these breaks, sometimes he goes back. He's a stubborn king who yields to no one but himself and even that is debatable at times.
The night air is welcoming against his flushed skin but the idea of being in the open makes his skin crawl. It doesn't matter when there's the luxury car they arrived in - but Izana kicks the driver out with an order to come back in an hour and promptly crawls into the back of the limo where its blissfully quiet and the leather is cool. He beckons Ran to sit and then decides to drop his head onto his lap. The rest of the world is kicked out and rejected - but the king allows one of his to remain. If Rindou was present, he would have him too. But he'd been busy with the music last that Izana could recall in his foggy memory. His eyes slip close - and then the question.
Wisteria eyes open, staring sideways at the other side of the car while the question sinks in with a heavy weight. He rolls onto his back instead, white locks splayed across the black fabric of Ran's outfit while he stares up at the oldest of the Haitani brothers. Does he regret it?
" Sometimes. " Izana finally answers, very quiet despite the silence the car offers them and knowledge they cannot be heard from outside the car. Rubatosis overtakes him as he stares at Ran. He does not owe any further explanation. He didn't even owe an answer. But alcohol has loosened his lips and truth he'd otherwise keep buried under the floorboards of his heart has now been shared. " I don't. But sometimes I do. I don't want you to leave. Or Rindou. Or Kakucho. Or Mucho, or Mocchi, or even Shion. " He laughs, pained and raw like a dying animal when the ugly admission comes clawing past his teeth like a traitor. He can hear his own breath shaking and his head falls to the side, cheek pressed to Ran's thigh.
" I don't think I could handle it. That scares me. " Izana whispers, and he can feel the frantic pace his heart races to at the thought. Can Ran feel it? How it jumps? " I said I'd never let anyone hurt me like the incident that led to what I did to end up in juvie. " He has never spoken of it, not even to those closest to him. " That might. I regret it at times for that reason. " It is what had also given life to the idea that if nothing else, he could always rule through fear to ensure obedience. As long as they listened...as long as they didn't abandon him...
Izana's head turns back towards Ran, lips parted slightly. " Not always though. " Izana doesn't remember the name for the feeling that claws at him with a demand to make this, too, known. Once he'd known it more, but it had been strangled in the night like his old self, yet now it rises from its grave in his chest. " You make me happy. " And it feels like a self-inflicted murder to say the words, because one part of him loathes the admission and the other demands to say before he forgets again. " Warm. When we're all together. " He blinks, frowns as though something has upset him, and then speaks again. " But also just you. As Ran Haitani. I think sometimes you know me more than I know me. You keep the abyss away even without knowing it. "
Izana reaches a hand out for one of Ran's, fingers graceful even when slowed by the alcohol, and then links their pinkies together like that childish promise in juvie before Tenjiku had formed. He stares for a long minute, not saying anything more but just lingering like that before looking up to Ran's face to see his reaction. " Can we just stay here a bit more? " And even drunk, Izana knows his word is law - but he also does not intend to force Ran to stay here where it feels like layers of him are being peeled away if he'd prefer the fun of the party inside.

I've already complained a lot about the pacing, and how the film suffers because of it. So now I want to switch gears and talk about some of the stuff I did like (it's a long list!). Putting it under a read more, because of spoilers:
Mario being a protective big brother ❤️
Mario calling Luigi "Lu" (it's no "Weegee" or "Weeg", but it's still cute)
"Nothing can hurt us as long as we're together"
The flashback of the baby bros 😭
Luigi being the one to protect Mario at the end
Mario and Luigi's relationship in general is so incredibly sweet and definitely the highlight of the film for me
Peach is a badass, but she's also cute. Which is exactly how I think she should be depicted
Toad is cute and funny, and I wish we could've seen more of his dynamic with Mario and Peach
Mario and Peach's interactions are cute, even if they're rushed
THE MARIO AND LUIGI HUG WJEHEBEJSUUSUDHSHSBSHSHSJSJ IT'S EVEN BETTER THAN THE LM3 HUG I'M 😭 THE FOREHEAD TOUCH AHWEHEHEHDNJE THEY'RE THE BEST SIBLINGS EVER I WOULD DIE FOR THEM
I like Peach's backstory (even if I have a lot of questions about the circumstances surrounding them crowning her princess). I think it's sweet that she became their protector after they raised her. The idea of her possibly being from Mario's world is also very interesting to me. I hope fanfic writers go nuts with that
Mario having daddy issues is kind of a funny concept to me, but also really interesting, and it's something I'd like to see explored more (probably in fanfics)
I love how sweet and supportive their mom is!
Mario and DK's rivalry is fun
CAT MARIO IS SO ADORABLE SJHWHSJJWJJSSJ I LOVE HIM
Luigi 💚 (literally all he has to do is exist and I love him with all my heart and soul)
Lumalee was funny (even if I wish they'd actually done something with the character)
I was disappointed about Peach not actually using the halberd, but she still gets to beat up Bowser, so I'm not complaining too much
Peaches 🍑
The concept of Bowser being able to play piano is something I never realized I needed in my life (definitely need to incorporate it into a future fanfic)
I love the way they incorporated the game mechanics into the worldbuilding. I want to see what they'd do with other stuff, like 1-ups (like we thought we were getting)
The idea of Mario hating mushrooms is funny
Pauline got a cameo at least
The score was great
The DK Rap being included was funny
It's cool to have official versions of Mario's parents (even if they're probably not canon)
Having Charles Martinet voice Mario's dad was a cute touch (and it makes him saying "these are my boys!" at the end really sweet in a meta way)
I actually liked most of the voices. The only one that remotely bothered me was Cranky, because he doesn't sound old enough, but even then I don't really hate it. Yes, I actually came around to Prattio in the end, so fucking sue me (it helps that his performance is better than in the trailers, and you can actually hear the Brooklyn accent now)
The Bowser's Fury theme playing in one part made me so happy because that's one of my favorite Mario games ever
I loved seeing Mario being insecure and scared! It was really refreshing
This might sound weird, but I actually appreciate them not holding back on the violence in some places. The most notable example is during the climax, when Mario is all bruised up from Bowser beating the shit out of him
As I've said before, the animation is absolutely gorgeous. The expressive character animation and the color choices are what really make it shine
The action sequences are so good! Even just Peach doing the training course was mesmerizing
Peach is just...so nice. People were assuming she'd be a stereotypical girlboss that hates men or some crap, but she really isn't. (I never did; I had faith that they'd get her right.) She waits for Mario to complete his training so he can save Luigi, even though there's a looming threat to her kingdom. She lets Mario go with her even though he didn't complete it, and tries to make him feel better about not getting it on the first try. And she's willing to marry someone she hates just to protect her kingdom (and then tricks him and beats him up). I love her 💖
I like how Peach says "my Toads"; it feels like she's saying "my family" (because they are her family, and she'll never let anything happen to them 🩷)
I already mentioned Mario and Luigi's relationship. But one scene that I haven't seen anyone talk about it when they're in Mario's room after their dad rejects him, and Luigi tries to comfort him. Mario is a great brother in this movie, but so is Luigi 💚
As much as I love Mario x Peach, I'm glad they don't try to force the relationship (outside of other characters shipping them, lol). There's not much time for that to happen--partly because of the pacing, but also because they're both focused on stopping Bowser and wouldn't be thinking much about that anyway. I would like to see some romance between them in a potential sequel, but I also want the development of their relationship to feel natural
Mario finding his strength and confidence through his desire to protect the people he cares about 🥰
They did the "So long gay Bowser" tail swing
The character designs are sooooooo good! Mario and Luigi are precious, Peach is pretty, Bowser looks cool, etc. I love how everyone looks! 👌
Luigi's hair 😏
There's probably more I could add here, but I should probably stop before this post becomes ridiculously long lol. Despite the issues I had with this movie, there's still a lot I appreciate about it. And it made me smile and laugh the whole way through, so that makes it good in my book. It's definitely going to be one of my comfort movies from now on.
