AITA for being honest about what I would change about my boyfriend?
🥊🥊
I’m a cis guy (22m) and I have a boyfriend that’s transgender (20m). We’ve been together for 2 years.
My boyfriend is a very cute guy and he gets hit on a lot in queer spaces tbh. even by lesbians, and they fully see him as a guy. He’s just very sweet and approachable I guess. A lot of people tell him he’s super attractive and I agree, but there are just certain things about his body that don’t appeal to me.
We were at a friend’s birthday party. People got drunk, I was tipsy. We played this game that was like cards with questions about relationships/love/intimacy on them and the whole group would discuss.
One of the questions was something along the lines of "If you could change anything about your partner, what would it be?" Or whatever.
Now, I went first and said I’d probably make him less hairy and get rid of the dark spots in his crotch area and his acne scars. He has some discoloration around his private areas from a rash he got when he was like 13 and some faint scarring from pimples I guess. It’s not an issue, but definitely not my preference. Plus he can’t really shave clean down there because he has thick hair and it always makes him get those razor burn bumps or whatever. Fine by me, he’s hot as hell either way.
Plus, he has a lot of discoloration around his shoulders, back, chest and face from severe acne outbreaks from his puberty and then later again when he started taking testosterone. It’s calmed down a lot, but the scarring is still very prominent. It’s not an issue, just not very pretty to look at.
Please don’t get me wrong. He’s an incredibly attractive person, I just wish his skin was a little prettier. It’s a bit of a turnoff, that’s all. It never stopped me from being absolutely enamored with him.
But when I explained this, a little less explicitly than this of course, the group went dead silent. Everyone was staring at me, some of the girls even clasped their hands over their mouths etc.
When I looked at my boyfriend he was completely pale and was just blankly staring at me before getting up and saying he needs to pee. I just said okay and then gave the card to the person next to me. She very quietly said she’d take away her girlfriend’s anxiety because it hurts her to see the person she loves like that. That’s when it sort of dawned on me that I messed up and that I was way out of line for saying these things in front of our friends.
He apparently left soon after that, which I only found out through a friend. I was a little confused but figured he was just a little embarrassed. We don’t live together, so it isn’t unusual for one of us to leave before the other. But then I found out that his best friend left with him because he was sobbing and couldn’t stop.
I tried calling him and texting him for multiple hours and didn’t want to overstep any boundaries by just popping up at his home, so I gave up and eventually went home. That was two days ago and I still haven’t heard from him. He’s usually a very clingy and noisy person and always sends me small updates throughout the day, but I haven’t heard anything from him the entire time.
I’m so scared. I love this guy so much, he’s the sweetest and the single most interesting person I’ve ever met in my life. I know he has a lot of severe insecurity issues around his body, especially regarding his scarring. But it’s all gotten a lot better in recent months and he even began to love how hairy he is because it makes him feel euphoric.
Now I can’t help but feel like I took that away from him because of some stupid game. But at the same time, I don’t think it was fair for him to just up and leave without talking to me. We could’ve talked it out and I just wish he would communicate with me.
I already know I was a bit out of line for this, but I just tend to be uncomfortably honest. He knows this and loves me for it, so I’m confused why he’s THIS upset about this one. He’s never gone this long without talking to me.
Am I the asshole? I was just playing the game. I don’t think it’s fair to call me cruel for this just because other people are scared to be honest and say shit like they’d take away their partner’s mental illness. It’s so fake and that shit just pisses me off. Everyone has something they would change about their partner’s appearance.

You're such a wicked menace, Eva!
Title: Insatiable Characters/Pairings: Bucky Barnes x female!Reader Word Count: 1845
Summary: Your new boyfriend comes along when you pick up the keys for your new apartment and conduct the move-in inspection.
Content Warnings: explicit smut (oral - female receiving, vaginal fingering, nipple play, vaginal penetration, hint at overstimulation, multiple orgasms, unprotected sex, cream pie)
Logistical Notes: Fulfilling my February box for @buckybarnesevents Build-a-Bucky Bingo event (forehead kiss, fingering). Follows our Desperate couple but can be read as a stand alone piece.
Additional Notes: Honestly I didn't have any plans to return to our rivals-to-lovers couple from Desperate and Uncertain and Sure again so soon, but this gif hit a certain inspiration and may pull from some literal "reader insert" vibes as I'm moving into a new apartment right now... Also thoroughly inspired by this post coming across my dash today thanks to @ghotifishreads.

You couldn’t help the permanent smile on your face.
Yes, moving was going to be a hassle, and you didn’t have a clue how everything was going to fit into this tiny one-bedroom apartment, but being back in the place again, keys officially in your hands, the place really yours, standing in front of the bright living room windows that made your heart sing when you first saw the place, that feeling that this was your place warmed your whole chest again.
It was hard to break away from the light streaming in through the windows, but you turned your head to look at Bucky. “So? What do you think of the place?”
He was new to your life, too.
The kidnapping and rescue in Paris had been only a month ago. Over that month, you and Bucky had been figuring out what the revelation of your feelings for each other meant outside of a life and death situation. Parts of that were easy, other parts were trickier, but nothing that made you want to abandon ship.
“I think it’ll suit you well,” he answered. His smile was soft. You loved seeing this side of him, especially after so many years of angst and rivalry between you.
“You’re practically glowing with excitement,” he added.
Your smile grew to a grin, and you shrugged one shoulder. “It’s smaller than the place I’ve been, but I couldn’t resist all this sunlight.”
You turned around and looked at the empty living room that bled into the kitchen area. “I want to try and measure things and figure out where everything will go before the movers bring the furniture in tomorrow. I’m still worried about whether all my shelves will fit or not.”
You set your bag down on the kitchen counter and began to pull out a measuring tape, the blue painters tape you planned on using to map out the furniture shapes on the floor and rummaged for the hastily scribbled together list you’d made of your furniture dimensions.
Bucky had remained silent – he was often so silent you could forget he was present when you got immersed into something – and you spun back around to see him still in the same position across the room by the windows, studying you.
“What?”
“You know what we have to do before anything else,” he said seriously.
“What’s that?”
He licked his lips.
Oh.
Your stomach flipped.
“Bucky, we can’t–”
He chuckled. “You have the keys, it’s officially your place,” he said, stalking toward you. “We absolutely can.”
Before you could utter another word, he reached for your elbow and tugged you into his arms, planting a sound kiss right on your mouth, swallowing all protest. He coaxed your lips open, and his tongue licked into your mouth, drawing an eager moan from you.
Damn, he was too good at this, you thought as your hands came up to clutch at his back.
He pressed your bodies together, and you were not surprised to feel the evidence of his arousal pressing against you. One thing you had learned about Bucky over the last month was that he could be ready to have you on the turn of a dime, and he could be insatiable. That your body responded so quickly to him as well was both blessing and curse. Less than a minute and you were melting completely against him, eager for more, and you could feel the slickness already growing at your slit.
Your hands dropped down his back, but only to reach the hem of his sweater before dipping under so your fingers could eagerly climb up against his naked skin. He grinned into the kiss.
With his sweater quickly halfway up his torso, Bucky broke off the kiss momentarily to pull it up and off the rest of the way. Then he coaxed you down to the floor, spreading his sweater down on the hardwood floor and laying you gently on top of it. His body covered yours, and he began kissing you in earnest again, his vibranium arm planted next to your head while his other hand began deftly working at the buttons on the front of your blouse.
It was only another moment or two before he’d pushed your shirt open to bare your torso to him, and Bucky wasted no time in trailing his hot lips down your throat to blaze down your chest, paving a heated path between your breasts, over the band of your bra, and down your stomach. He gave your belly button a playful lick that had you gasping and a giggle bubbling up your throat.
“Bucky!”
He chuckled, and reached down to pull your shoes off as he pressed more kisses over your stomach. Then, with both shoes discarded, he knelt above you to unbutton and unzip your jeans, before pulling them down and off your legs. As your legs came back down on either side of him, his hands skimmed slowly along your inner thighs, and when they reached your core, he pressed one thumb at the base of your clothed slit and brushed it up over the damp cloth of your panties, the other thumb following just after and teasing you again there. You canted your hips up, wordlessly asking for more.
Bucky smirked, but he hooked his fingers into the waistband of your underwear and quickly pulled them off, tossing them to the side as well.
“Please,” you begged.
“Happily,” he whispered, then lowered himself down to wedge his shoulders between your thighs, pressing them wide to accommodate his broad frame. He licked a stripe up your dripping slit, moaning at the taste of you.
Your stomach swam with butterflies and your cheeks heated slightly. You had never been with anyone so unabashedly open with their desire for you as Bucky. He held nothing back when expressing his pleasure, his desire. It was a heady thing to be on the receiving end of, and you it still had you between feeling slightly flustered and drowning further in the depths of how intoxicating it was to know the effect you had on him.
He applied a second, slower lick over your folds, and then he began to kiss your lower lips the way he did your mouth, and your entire body coiled up for him, back arching, hands grabbing for his short hair, legs contracting.
“Bucky, god, yes,” the words tumbled out as you quickly began to lose more and more of your coherence.
But he was slow and torturous in his ministrations. You squirmed for more, but he held your pelvis down with one firm hand, while the other gently caressed your hip. Your fingers found his vibranium ones, and he entwined them with yours and started to fuck your cunt with his tongue.
When he heard a little whine escape from you, he began to suck your clit diligently. The orgasm that he’d been building you toward escaped from you briefly, but the switch picked right up on building that tension again, and he flicked his tongue a few times across your swollen nub as he sucked, and then you cried out as you finally tumbled over the edge of ecstasy.
He pressed a kiss to your cunt, then shifted up, quickly maneuvering his hands beneath your back to unclasp your bra and pull off your last piece of clothing. It was the only moment of reprieve he gave you, because then his mouth dipped to suck at one of your tits, and one of his hands worked into your folds, slowly stroking in and out of your tight channel. Two fingers curled into your pussy, and he quickly found one of his favorite places – that spongy spot on the front of your walls, knowing he found exactly the spot he needed as you gave a debauched moan. He slipped in a third finger, and as he sucked the hardened nub of your nipple and lapped at it, he worked to rip your second orgasm from your soul more quickly. It was clear nothing was going to deter him from his plans to ruin you in the empty apartment, and you could only be glad you were up on a floor high enough you didn’t risk any neighbors seeing in your open blinds to see the way he was taking you apart right there on the floor.
The second orgasm burst through your body unexpectedly, and it stole the breath from your lungs.
It had ripped through you so powerfully that you didn’t register the clinking sound of his belt buckle coming undone and hitting the floor as he unzipped and pushed down his jeans and boxer briefs.
But you noticed he wasn’t finished with you as he slipped one hand under your thigh and angled your hips to slot the head of his cock between your puffy folds.
You whimpered, fighting to open your eyes and plead your case as you looked into in the depths of his heated blues. Whether you were pleading for him to stop or for more, you really didn’t know or care at this point.
He hitched your leg up around his hip and slowly slid his fat cock fully into your cunt. “So damn good.”
You moaned openly, completely debauched on pleasure at this point, but clearly your pussy wouldn’t refuse him plying you with even more of it.
Deep, slow strokes.
You felt every aching inch of him as he thrust slowly in and out of your tight channel. He still made you stretch around him, and it was exquisite for both of you.
Full, so full.
In and out.
So deep inside of you now, and you could do nothing but make incoherent noises beneath him, gasping for air. “I know, sugar, I know," he murmured into the crook of your neck. "Gonna give us what we both need.”
And he fucking does, as he does every time, using your body as if he’s had you for years. He rewarded you both with an orgasm that truly leaves you boneless and breathless once he finally pushed you over the edge and then sped up his thrusts to chase his own release as your vagina squeezed around his throbbing cock. He groaned as he spilled hot ropes of cum inside of you, thrusting until he’d emptied himself in you completely. Finally, he collapsed on top of you, and pressed kisses into the crook of your neck, then along your jaw, allowing you to try and catch your breath before finally kissing your lips again.
You whined against his lips, and he rolled over, taking you with him, and letting you lay half on his chest, half against his side. He continued to kiss you lazily.
You didn’t know how long he continued to make out with you, but the sun’s rays had shifted significantly once he pressed a kiss to your forehead and you rested your head on his bare shoulder.
“It’s a good floor,” he said, almost mundanely.
You laughed softly.
“We’ll need to check the counters a little later,” he added.

dilf bull/hound darling: i’ve been used as a breeder before but i’d love to find someone special to connect with and start a future together you know?
kaimana [heard breeder and got so hard he got nauseous]: i think i hauve Covid
Former Breeder Darling takes a trip out to the beach nearby where the farm they used to work/live on. They strike up a conversation with an attendee at one of the bar stands. The guys a little awkward, but sweet - they guess he didn't have much interaction with others before he got the job and was still getting the hang of things. He noticeably becomes a whole lot clumsier when Darling mentions the details of their past career and current goal.
"So - what brings you out here, Stranger?"
"There's a farm a bit up north from here.. Worked there almost my entire adult life. Job was starting to get to my head so I quit."
"Oh, is that so? I try not to head too far from home, but now I'm starting to regret that. What type of work did you do?"
"I was a breeder.....on top of some manual labor.'
The glass Kaimana held slips from his hands.
"Holy..... You good, Kai?"
K....Kai?? You're giving him nicknames already?? Kaimana grabs the broom propped against the wall behind him - using it to support his wobbly legs instead of cleaning the shards of broken glass at his feet. "Y-yes, I'm fine!... Please continue."
"Eh, not much more to say. Whenever someone needed some assistance having a kid I helped out. Didn't think much of it when I was younger. Paid good, and I got to live on the farm for next to nothing which allowed me to save up over the years.... I had no attachment to it till I received some photos of one of my kids... Well... Not my kid, but their folks were nice enough to send them... It got me thinking... about a family of my own."
You look up from your glass to find Kaimana frantically scribbling something on a napkin.
"My number! .... I-if you'd like to keep in touch. Have you found a place of receidence yet? I know a lovely hotel closeby. I can take you there!- W-we could get to know each other a little better - maybe or dinner or-or a nice bottle of wine."
You chuckle. "Dinner sounds good. Been meaning to try some of the seafood this area is know for.. You should probably clean up that glass though."
You're probably right about that. If he faints atop a pile of glass he'll have to miss your date getting stitches! It's a somewhat difficult for him to move with one particular area of his clothing so drenched in his own fluids.
"Y...yes... dear.... Dear customer, I mean!... haha..."
"Cute." You down the rest of your drink and pull a few bills from your pocket, tucking the napkin in that same sleeve as you stand from the counter. "See you later, Kai."
Kai waves as you depart. He wouldn't call it a goodbye as he'd see you soon enough.
"See you.... Honey."

Since she has now flown off I am obligated to post the order of potato fairy extra large that I looked after for several days. Aka a gloriously chumby Polyphemus moth— the second one I’ve seen alive in over a decade— that decided to hang around our porch for most of its adult life. I saw the first live one on the same day, but he flew away when I tried to get close. But still, that’s a great sign that their population in my area is finally starting to recover! Anyways, here’s the wonderful big little creacher where I found her, which should probably make it clear as to why I moved her. Ants don’t mess around and I wasn’t gonna just leave her inches away from danger.
Tumblr media
I was pretty glad I did, as even after her wings were fully dried and extended and everything she couldn’t actually take off. See: her first “flight”.
Big fan of the loud impact PLAP sound, really added to the already very good demonstration of gravity. Worry not, she was totally fine afterwards. Here she is that night and the day after! Very cute and fuzzy, 1000/10.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next day I thought she had flown off, but then the day after that she was back on the porch! I could tell she was the same one because of her damaged antenna. She started laying eggs on the house and I realized that wasn’t going to be good for the caterpillars that might hatch, since it was a relatively long distance to any host plants even without including the vertical climb to reach branches of leaves. Since she clearly felt safe where she was, and I was also worried about ants and birds and possible insecticides, I ended up making a little “baby box” for her out of a thoroughly rinsed plastic container that initially held salted honey-roasted peanuts. I gave her a stick to hold on to which also gave her a route to climb out of the box if she wished, and provided various fresh oak leaves to lay her eggs on. Figured it would be a good setup because I could easily move it to a safe place once she was done, and keep an eye on the eggs until they hatched. I might even try to raise a few caterpillars if the eggs are fertile. However, during the process of me setting that whole deal up, she decided I looked like a good egg laying spot.
Tumblr media
You can see the “glue” that sticks the eggs to surfaces! It was cool to see up close: she’d lay an egg, wait for it to dry, and then lay the next right by it. She ended up sticking four on me before I was able to gently nudge her to the egg laying box. The stick was eventually deemed an acceptable substitute, and over night she… made an egg stalactite of sorts on it? Very weird, I think, I dunno; most of what I read online said their eggs would be laid in spread out clusters of two to three on suitable host plants. I know it wasn’t because she couldn’t get out, as when I went to check on her she had already made her way to the top of the stick and was hanging off of it outside the box. I didn’t think to take a picture of that as I needed to drive to college, but source: dude trust me. Here’s a picture of the egg sculpture I took when I got home.
Tumblr media
When I was done with that I went to move her off the porch where she had been staying safe for the last 5 or so days to the more wooded area of the yard, but she ended up flying off to the treetops on her own after I brought her into the open. I guess laying a bunch of eggs made her finally light enough to fly. Maybe she was feeling upset at me for not being able to pay child support and making her lay her eggs on a stick instead? Or she was just doing normal moth things or whatever. It was bittersweet to watch her go, but I’m glad she had the chance to soar the skies at least once before her time was up.

RW Headcanon: Know the Difference! | An Overview of Quetzalli's Slugcats
Here’s a headcanon I’ve wanted to elaborate on for a while, and today I finally felt compelled to make it real! Also, just a disclaimer I am not a huge biology nerd nor have I studied it that heavily, so I apologize if something here doesn’t make sense or if I get something wrong. I just like fantasy worldbuilding from time to time, and I always like trying to make sense of things I’m interested in!
Tumblr media
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Basically, I’m in the crowd that interprets slugcats as mustelids rather than literal slugs. When I say this, however I don’t mean that slugcats would necessarily be classified in the actual mustelidae family, seeing as Rain World’s world is most-likely not Earth and therefore our taxonomic classifications and phylogenetic relations can’t necessarily apply. Thus, when I call them “mustelids”, I really just mean that I imagine them as some kind of weasel with all the necessary physical traits to earn that general label.
Tumblr media
The first half of the name “slugcat”, in my headcanon, is thus not referring to any literal connection to slugs or other mollusks, but is instead derived simply from their appearance. Due to their long ears and thick tail, and because their fur and fat often squishes together in such a way that it makes their features blend together and their bodies appear more smooth (it’s the same physics as that whole “cats are liquid” idea), the general silhouette of a slugcat can easily be likened to that of a literal slug. The second half of their name is also not literal, and instead refers to their jumping and acrobatic abilities and their skill in hunting and pouncing on small prey, which is very similar to that of small cats.
Species Overview
Now to give a little more detail on slugcats themselves as a species! I headcanon them as small to medium-sized mammals most similar to Earth weasels in both their biology and their ecological niche, who originally served as cute low-maintenance pets for the Ancients and as hunters of small pests in facilities on the ground. They’re clever by nature and good at fitting through tight spaces, and later on they evolved greater jumping abilities to pounce on prey. They’re also very social creatures, who’ve taken to forming medium to large colonies primarily in and around the massive trees that thrive between the cracks in iterators’ rainstorm areas (like the one Gourmand, Survivor, and Monk’s colony lives in). Due to this social nature they also generally travel in groups of at least two, both for company and protection against tougher animals. Travel partners are usually siblings or good friends, and sometimes even whole families will journey out together to find food and other resources for the rest of the colony.
Despite being a small prey animal, slugcats have managed to get by not only due to their intelligence — the evolution of which would be seen as a rather unexpected twist of events if you asked their creators, for the Ancients found them cute but rather simple — but because of their impressive adaptability. It’s similar to that of real life red foxes and pigeons, and it allows them to survive decently well even in less ideal environments; a trait especially necessary for a world as industrialized as this one, even if its people are gone and most of the machinery is inactive. As such not all colonies live in trees; some find homes in the abandoned facilities, large underground hollows, and a few bold colonies have even claimed territories high up in iterator cities alongside scavengers. Slugcats are opportunists and masters at making the best of their surroundings, yet even beyond that they carry a certain other, “special” ability of their own that makes them as diverse as they are clever. But that’s a headcanon for another day…
Reasoning
Now for some out-of-universe explanation for this classification choice. I’ve always seen slugcats as some kind of small scurrying mammal (kind of a bias on my part, I just like mammals honestly, and they’re most familiar to me), mainly due to the way they look and move when on all fours, and their place in the game’s food chain. Originally though I saw them as rodents and compared them to mice and rats, which I still sometimes use for anatomy reference for these creatures. But one day a friend of mine saw me drawing slugcats and thought they were weird ferrets, and the more I thought about it and the more I developed personal speculative biology headcanons for slugcats, the more that label seemed the most fitting for them. It was also solidified when I did a bit more research and realized the main characteristic of rodents is their buck teeth, which just didn’t seem to fit with how I perceived slugcats. Not to mention rodents aren’t really predator animals, and slugcats’ implied natural diet and the gameplay itself does strongly imply if not confirm they have some instinctive hunting ability.
Thus, it seemed “weasel” was the best classification for these creatures, and I quite like it so far! Once again it satisfies my mammal preference, but I also just think it’s a fun idea that neither part of the “slugcat” name is literal, similar to a lot of real-life creatures named after completely different animals, including fellow weasel, the polecat. Plus, I realized recently it’s kind of ironic with how I perceive the messenger slugcats, Hunter and Spearmaster, as being like hunting or guard dogs for their creators, when weasels are exactly the kind of animal humans with their dogs would normally hunt for! It’s cute, it’s familiar, it’s fun, yet I think it still has just as much potential for some interesting speculative biology ideas as the literal slug slugcat interpretations!
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
I'm so glad to finally get this out! I like seeing specbio slugcat headcanons in the RW fandom, yet I haven't seen many more in-depth takes from artists who don't take the "slugcats are literal slugs/mollusks/primarily mollusk-based" angle. Not that that's a bad headcanon of course; do what you think feels right! But once again I personally prefer slugcats being mammals, and I always look for fan-content that's as close to my personal preferences as possible. And when I can't find enough of it, I make it myself!
So hopefully this serves as a bit more of that kind of representation for the mustelid slugcat interpretation. It at least helped me develop my own idea of the species a bit more; much of that stuff in the overview part was ideas I came up with while typing this whole headcanon out!
As always, I hope you enjoy this headcanon of mine! I've still got so many ideas to develop and share, and even more coming as I continue to ponder these characters and their stories, so as long as you guys still like these Rain World headcanons of mine, they'll keep coming!

I’ve been seeing people vastly misunderstanding the whole point of the shootout scene, so I want to share my analysis here. It’s not just a redemption for Chishiya, and not just a way to make Niragi seem deep and complex. It’s a way to compare the characters of Arisu, Chishiya, and Niragi, and show their adaptability to change.
To begin, the initial main focus of it all is Chishiya. He has just left the King of Diamonds venue, and has realized that he is jealous of people like Kuzuryuu who are able to die happily with a purpose. He is seeking to speak with someone, to open up about his inner turmoils. That is when he gets caught between Arisu and Niragi, two ends of a morality spectrum he is struggling to find his place on.
Now, why does Niragi start this shootout? He says that he, Arisu, and Chishiya are all too similar, and due to this only one of them can live (although, it is later evident that it is for this very reason all three of them survive). Niragi doesn’t say they are similar in regards to their actions in the games; he says this in regards to how they are all inherently selfish people at the core. They put themselves first and foremost, whether intentional or not, and hurt those around them as a result.
For Arisu, this makes more sense in the context of his manga characterization. Manga Arisu has the unintentional tendency of doing things for his own sake when he thinks he has the group’s best interest at heart, and his speech mannerisms mainly revolve around his own feelings. He is selfish without realizing it. The shootout finally makes him conscious of this, and makes him want to remedy this. He is adaptable to change for the better.
For Chishiya, this has been evident from the beginning. He will manipulate and use others for his own gain, without worrying what happens to them afterward. He never goes out of his way to help others, but at the same time never directly hurts them either. He has and recognizes this selfish indifference towards all facets of life. However, the games make him envious of people like Arisu, who are adaptable to change.
For Niragi, it has always been obvious how he embraces his selfishness. He enjoys going out of his way to hurt others and make them suffer. He becomes the abuser to keep from being vulnerable. He is the oddball out of the three, because despite everything, he does not want to change.
Their selfishness is just the example that Niragi gives, but there are other things they have in common as well. Their upbringings, for one – they all lacked love and affection in their home lives. What makes them different in this sense is that Arisu had Chota and Karube to hold him up, who made him more friendly and optimistic towards life. Chishiya had no friends, but no enemies either, which led to his indifference towards life. Niragi had abusers, which led to his hatred and resentment towards life. There’s also how they all initially wanted to stay in the Borderlands; Arisu because he wanted to avoid his real world responsibilities, Chishiya because he was intrigued by the intellectual stimulation and death of the games, and Niragi because he could thrive in a world without laws. But they all eventually came to the realization that they wanted to leave; Arisu first due to escaping and finding a reason for living, Chishiya next due to realizing he needs to reject the offer to truly change, and finally Niragi not because he changed, but because he simply wanted to live.
As you can see, they are all similar characters at three different levels of intensity. Arisu at level one, the level where he is still capable of goodness. Niragi at level three, where he is too far gone and considered evil. Chishiya is stuck in a morally gray area between the two, trying to figure out where he should place himself.
Anyways, back to the shootout. Chishiya came here to talk to Arisu because he wanted to change for the better. But then Niragi came and pulled him backwards, halting his progress. The shootout is a battle of moralities; a push-and-pull between Arisu’s good and Niragi’s evil.
The whole point of this scene was to give all three of them time for introspection. Who are they currently, and who do they want to become? Niragi’s comment about all of them being similar spurs their answers. Arisu is disgusted at the realization of being so similar to Niragi, so he quickly puts his gun down and pledges to change. Chishiya is inclined to distance himself from Niragi once he sees Arisu’s resolve, and only puts his gun down to become uncharacteristic and save Usagi. And Niragi, upon seeing the other two take this chance to renew themselves, realizes that he was foolish to believe anyone could be like him in the first place. He truly is alone in this world, and he only has himself to blame for it. He never lets go of his gun – he fires. And in that split second, why does Arisu pick his gun back up after vowing to change? He does it to save Usagi. To not be selfish and shoot Niragi out of his own hatred, but for the sake of saving Usagi’s life instead. Saving Usagi is the turning point for Arisu’s character, and for Chishiya as well. Niragi’s attempt to kill her demonstrates how he never wanted to change to begin with.
So yes, Niragi was right in saying they are all similar in terms of their selfishness. But he was wrong to believe that they were kindred to him and could not change.
TLDR; all three of them are foils, bound together by their inherent selfishness. This shootout is the defining scene for their characters. Arisu is adaptable to change, Chishiya struggles with his alignment but ultimately chooses to change like Arisu, and Niragi was never meant to change in the first place.

Hello! I hope you are doing well, I have an idea, feel free to ignore but I hope you like it.
Yandere Male Deliquent x GN Ex Bully
Like he tried to make them explode and being their “true self”, because in the past, when they were younger, they defend him and he became a delinquent just to see them again.
Sorry if my English is bad.
Bye!
YAN! DELINQUENT OC x GN! EX BULLY! READER
Also your English great anon! Dw about it.
AAAAAAA I’ve meaning to do more Yan! Delinquent recently anon!! You read my mind. For those new to my account. I already have a Yan! Delinquent OC named Mori Ban (see tag: hns.moriban) who was the first to really blow up from my yan! ocs. I always loved this trope with yan stories hhh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
tw/cw: DDNE, mention extreme bullying, assault, and harassment. (brought out my trauma for this one). i imagine reader to be amab/masc for this one but there are no explicits allusions to that.
Tumblr media
Uttering the name [L/N] [Y/N] was enough to strike fear in the hearts of men. Literally and figuratively speaking, your voice was enough to make even the highest of authorities piss their pants. Not only were you capable of destroying a person’s physical body with your very own hands, you were able to dismantle everything from their relationships and reputation to their financial situations in life.
People predicted you to grow up and become an even more menacing, ruthless person. You had the potential, and with the way you were it was simply the natural trajectory.
But like you always did, you broke everyone’s expectations.
You were like the delinquent version Serena Van Der Woodsen. Mindlessly strutting in as if you hadn’t put several companies to bankruptcy because the owner’s kid looked at you the wrong way. Nonchalantly eating your lunch in the same vicinity of your old victims as if you hadn’t shoved their face into the toilet as a way to pass time. Cheerfully waving at the student council president as if you hadn’t constantly blackmailed and assaulted them for several years just so they’d do your homework and projects. No one was safe from you. You had no code. As long as you felt like it, any life could be destroyed.
Standing opposite to your current path was Mori.
He used to be the punching bag of your lesser goons. Known for being weak and poor, only good for his academic excellence.
He grew up to be almost as fearsome than you. Where-areas you were coldblooded, revelling in the pain you brought upon others. He was a lot more morally guided. Sure, his enemies often suffered worse fates physically, but he wasn’t like you in the way he picked his battles. He only brought hell to those that deserved it. Those that hurt other people first.
And then there was the way he treated you.
You technically belonged to the category he dealt with. You ruined dozens, maybe even hundreds or thousands of lives in a whim. You were the devil in a pretty suit of skin. Despite your lack of hostility nowadays, you never apologised or took accountability, never attempted to atone for your mistakes. The only reason why others haven’t confronted you about it was because of fear. They didn’t want to potentially anger you and set off a bomb.
But Mori? Mori could handle you.
After all, he dedicated his whole life to being your equal; serving you, aiding you.
In fact, he was just so disappointed to see you this way. All disgustingly docile and horridly disciplined. What kind of monster tamed you to be like this? Mori chuckled at the thought. No one but him can match you. You must have started behaving yourself for the sake of appearance. All of this was just a façade. If you had truly changed you would have begged for forgiveness to those you’ve wronged. If you had become a better person then you wouldn’t be discreetly glaring at him when you thought he wasn’t looking.
If someone had truly taught you to be a goody-two-shoes he would have killed them ages ago.
“Hey, [N/N]. Sweetheart. How ya doin?” Mori leaned forward. He grew to be quite a ways taller than you and had to lean over to meet you face to face. Much to your chagrin.
“Fine. It’s so nice of you to ask Ban. If you’ll excuse me.” You adeptly moved to the side. You had dealt with this man-child several times throughout the semester already and knew to just avoid him at all costs lest you lose braincells and precious energy talking to him.
However, you could only take two steps before his hands grappled unto your wrist.
“Woah woah woah there. We’re not done yet.”
You don’t look back, and firmly yet calmly stated, “Yes, we are.”
“It’s a little late but we have yet to give you a homecoming party. That wouldn’t be fair for the great [Y/N].”
You turned back. Eyes wide, not of surprise or anger, but from sheer awe of this man’s audacity.
“I know what you want, and you’re not getting it from me right now.” You scowled at his beautiful pink eyes and effortlessly yanked your arm away from him. You didn’t know it yet back then,
but you had already lit the match.

This week’s writer spotlight feature is:  @wynnyfryd! Wynnyfryd has 34 fics in the Stranger Things fandom and all of them are in the Steddie tag!
i don’t know, you figure it out
Plot Holes
biting you biting you biting you- oh! kissing you!
Satanic Ritual: DO NOT WATCH!!
She's got some of the FUNNIEST writing in this fandom, and it's very snappy too like. She's an editing demon for sure, she can take a concept that I'd think would take paragraphs to explain and find the right words to make it hit just as hard with like, two sentences. I also really really love how descriptive her metaphors are, really visceral sometimes, and she's really good at writing realistic life events but still making them fun to read about even when it's about like, devastating shit. The sex she writes is also intense as hell! -- @griefabyss69
Below the cut, @wynnyfryd answered some questions about their writing process and some of their recommended work!
Why do you write Steddie?
I am but a humble bisexual — I see two beautiful brown-eyed men makin’ beautiful brown eyes at each other, I go a little insane for two years. It is what it is.
What’s your favorite trope to READ?
late-night moments of quiet hopeful hesitant intimacy over a shared joint or cigarette. Thin wisp of smoke between them, stars dancing in their eyes. Yeah. YEAHHHHHHH
What’s your favorite trope to WRITE?
This isn’t really a trope so much as a dynamic, but I love a good dipshit 4 dingus dialogue-heavy scene. Don’t get me wrong, I think Eddie and Steve can both be very smart and knowledgeable in their areas of interest/expertise, but these are two young dudes with no access to the internet. I love letting them be confidently incorrect dumbasses. Just ‘yes and’-ing each other’s stupidity while an exasperated third character begs for mercy.
What’s your favorite Steddie fic?
Well, this question is impossible and furthermore rude. This question came into my home and didn’t take its muddy boots off. This question never mailed me a thank you letter for my lovely wedding gift. That blender was expensive; the absolute nerve. No but seriously, I think The Lathe by palmviolet is going to stay with me forever.
Is there a trope you’re excited to explore in a future work but haven’t yet?
I’m a big fan of doing canon divergence from different jumping off points — the beauty of having characters live in the same small town their whole lives is that you get so many great opportunities for these “what if our paths crossed sooner” moments.  I have some very loose notes for a S3 fic where Eddie is the movie theater employee who finds Steve and Robin in the bathroom after they escape the Russians, and I also have an old WIP set between S1 and S2 where lifeguard Steve rescues Eddie and then spends the summer teaching him how to swim. Would love to revisit those after I finish the trailer park AU (which I will be referring to as TPAU because my fingers are tired and because ‘toilet paper au’ makes me laugh.)
What is your writing process like?
Uhhhhh. 😂 I mean, for TPAU, basically just insert the scene from Dune 2 of Paul’s first sandworm ride: I’m shaking I’m sweating there is sand in my nostrils and I am surely about to die— oh wait, maybe I’ve actually got this? Am I actually doing it? Oh shit, look at me go!   For one-shots I like to use a more structured outline and bracket method. I start by dividing my doc into numbered scenes, with each scene getting a notes section and a prose section, like this:
Tumblr media
This format gives me a lot of freedom to switch up the order of scenes and to move between scenes so I avoid writer’s block. I can also jump ahead to scenes I really want to write without making a mess of my outline. Once I have something written in the prose section of each scene, I go back and work on replacing each bracket with prose until there are no brackets left. Lastly, I create a new blank doc and copy the prose over in order so I can read the full fic and work on edits from there.
Do you have any writing quirks?
I have been known to abuse a semicolon. And an em dash. And a conjunction at the start of a sentence. Yes, I do have ADHD.   I’m also a lyricist, so I feel like my prose tends to stray into poetry territory pretty often.
Do you prefer posting when you’ve finished writing or on a schedule?
When I’m finished! Which is probably why I tend to stick to one-shots; I get impatient and want to post stuff the second it’s ready.
Which fic are you most proud of?
‘i don’t know, you figure it out’ for SURE. I’ve never written a fic this long or stuck to a writing project this consistently in my life. Like ever. The last time I even came close was my first NaNoWriMo when I was 16, which was, uh… years ago, plural, and I’ll leave it at that. 😂
How did you get the idea for i don’t know, you figure it out?
“There’s a dead rat on his doorstep.” That’s it. That first sentence/scene popped into my head while I was bored at work, and then I started thinking, “hey, you know what? I don’t know that anyone’s ever done a fic where Max and Steve trade places for S4; that might be fun.”  And then NaNoWriMo was coming up, so I thought it would be cool to try live posting a fully improvised fic every day for a month to see how many words I could write. And then this tragic wet cat version of Steve Harrington grabbed me by the throat and took over my whole life.
When writing Satanic Ritual: DO NOT WATCH!!, what was something you didn’t expect?
How SAPPY these two got!! My god, boys, I’m trying to write smut over here, stop having a beautiful existential crisis! (I blame Briston Maroney for that though lol, I think I listened to ‘Body’ like 1400 times that month.)
What inspired Satanic Ritual: DO NOT WATCH!!?
@inklessletter posted this totally gorgeous art of Steve and Eddie recording themselves kissing, and I promptly lost my mind.
What was your favorite part to write from biting you biting you biting you- oh! kissing you!?
This exchange: Steve: “What? I’m just asking!” Robin: “You’re being embarrassing!” Steve: “No, you’re just embarrassed. There’s a difference.” Like it’s just so them lmao
How do/did you feel writing i don’t know, you figure it out?
You know when you set out on a long hike in the summer and three hours later your calves are screaming and you’re covered in sweat and your sunburn’s starting to itch and this one horse fly won’t fuck off and your cell phone doesn’t even get service out here so literally WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF, and then you climb that last hill and look out on the most beautiful landscape you’ve ever seen in your silly little life? Basically that.
What was the most difficult part of writing Plot Holes?
Ooh, that one was fun! The only real difficulty was trying to keep it to a microfic because the concept could definitely be fleshed out to a full story — @griefabyss69 and I were joking around about “what if someone did ‘plot hole’ for the @steddiemicrofic prompt fill?” and then that fic just fell out of my head in about 15 minutes.
Do you have a favorite scene and/or line from any of your fics?
For sure! I’m currently super proud of the graveyard scene in the most recent update of TPAU — I don’t write true horror often, but I love horror so it was really fun to give it a try! Favorite line from any fic is probably this reference to ‘You’re Divine’ in my fic Monsoon Season because I love uncomfortably-aroused prude Eddie, and his internal monologue cracks me up every time I think about it: Freddie Monsoon’s debut novel is called The Fourth Chime, and it is, as far as Eddie can tell, the first installment in a series of unapologetically filthy fuck fests about a man whose lover gets flung into an alternate dimension during an apocalyptic event and miraculously returns as some sort of… sexy bat-boy with a fucking horse dong and a bite kink. Critics are calling it “the most romantic novel of the last decade.” It’s me; I’m Critics.
Do you have any upcoming projects or fics you’d like to share/promote?
My main project right now is finishing TPAU if it kills me, but beyond that, I have a few one-shots for @subeddieweek in the works, including a collab with @griefabyss69 that I’m so so SO excited to share. It’s hot, it’s funny, I can’t wait for y’all to read it.
Outside of these questions, Is there anything YOU would like to add?
First of all, as @wormdebut would say: I think you’re pretty. Thank you so much for all your hard work! I love this blog, and I love answering questions <3 Secondly: - Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. - Toss cubed sweet potatoes and parsnips, sliced sweet onion, and fresh garlic in a mix of olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary, and then spread in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet.  - Bake for ~40-45 minutes. (Potatoes and parsnips should be soft without being mushy when you poke them with a fork.) - Prep your sauce: I made a dijon drizzle situation by mixing olive oil mayo, a dash of dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a splash of water, but you could also add a little dab of hot sauce, bbq sauce, or different mustards. Basically just grab like four condiments out of your fridge and play around with the flavors you like until you make a mix that’s thin enough to pour. - Drizzle roasted veggies with sauce. - Enjoy a very tasty side dish (or do what I did and eat the whole sheet as a meal like some sort of parsnip goblin because you were too lazy to make the main dish after chopping all those veggies) okay thank you love you byeeeee
Thank you to our author, @wynnyfryd, and our nominator, @griefabyss69! See more of Wynnyfryd's works featured on our page throughout the day!

I originally made this zine back in October. There was no particular impetus for it except I think I’ve just been low key constantly thinking about ghost bikes since I learned about them some years ago.
I rewrote some parts of this a few times and I’m still not happy with it, but it feels kind of pointless to keep fiddling with it. There’s too much I want to say and 8 pages isn’t enough.
Saying that drivers “choose” vehicular manslaughter sounds aggressive. I know (most) drivers don’t intend to do harm, but it doesn’t actually matter what their intentions are if someone gets hurt or is killed. Maybe drivers aren’t “choosing” to kill, but they are choosing to get gigantic vehicles and to go fast enough to kill.
Most recent cyclist deaths in the Seattle area have been on common biking routes, though none of them have bike lanes (Seward Park Ave, Spokane St, Marine View Dr). I’ve biked on all of these, some of them very frequently. It sucks passing by each time and knowing someone died there, and that it could’ve been avoided.
Basically everyone I know who bikes has been hit by a car at some point. A friend was hit while in a crosswalk a few months ago. (In a similar incident, a 13-year old kid was killed in a crosswalk last year.) Thankfully, no one I know has died yet. It does sort of feel inevitable though.
Recently, a car ran a red light and hit a bus. The bus was forced onto the sidewalk, where it killed a pedestrian. I walked by on my way home with groceries 5 minutes after this happened. Couldda been me. Everyone is a pedestrian at some point, but so many people avoid living life as a pedestrian. They drive everywhere and are only ever on foot within a building. My high school was one (1) mile from my house, but I had to drive to get there because of the 6-lane highway between us.
The problem is complicated. I mostly blame infrastructure, but that’s not easy to fix. We designed and built whole cities around cars and left no space for people, and that can’t be corrected without a lot of money and political will. We need roads that are “inconvenient” for cars and drivers. Ones that are narrower and have speed bumps and “traffic calming” devices slow drivers down by design, without relying on speed limit compliance or enforcement.
Seattle is cramped as hell and there aren’t sidewalks in a lot of places. But in order to build sidewalks and bike lanes, we need to take away space from cars, and hell gets raised every time anyone even suggests taking away parking, much less an entire travel lane. Lots of people depend on cars, but that’s never going to change without cities investing in the alternatives.
Buses and transit can become reliable. Bikes offer a lot of the same freedom and personal autonomy as cars. “No one wants to bike in the rain/cold/hills/etc” and yet Seattle has such a robust cycling community, both in commuters and recreational cyclists. “You can’t haul groceries/supplies/kids/dogs/etc by bike,” and yet so many people do.
And if people don’t feel safe on bikes, it’s just because of all the cars.
RIP Steve Hulsman, who was killed at the intersection of Marine View Dr and 46th Ave, the intersection in the photos, on December 21st.

You
You wake up the next morning with the excitement inside you ready to burst. Today’s the day you’ve been waiting for; the day you’ll finally get to leave Naboo. You woke up a bit earlier than normal to head down to the Star-Lux, just to tell Del you might be gone longer than three days. You’re not really sure how long you’ll be gone. This whole trip was planned last night and you barely had any time to pack.
But soon enough you’re back on your way to your apartment. Del was happy for you. You told her you’re going with a man but you didn’t mention that he’s a Mandalorian. She already knew about your dreams of one day getting to leave the planet so she told you, “Have lots of fun! But not too much fun,” with a pointed finger. She’s been the closest thing you’ve had to a mother so that’s just her sly way of telling you basically don’t get pregnant.
And now you’re back at your apartment, hastily packing clothes into a bag and hopping in the refresher. You should probably also tell your roommate, Willa, you’ll be gone for a while too. After you get out of the refresher you knock on her door lightly to tell her you’ll be away and she responds with just a hum of acknowledgment. You two definitely aren’t friends but you’re not mortal enemies by any means. You’re just roommates, nothing more. Which is part of the reason you spend a lot of time at the library anyway. You’ve never had a space to call completely your own. You went from the orphanage, to the inn, and then to the apartment building with Willa. So the library was your way of escaping and having a small place in the world you could just be you, alone with your thoughts and the knowledge of the galaxy at your fingertips.
You wait outside your building in the early morning hours, anxiously waiting for Din. While you wait you take a moment to reflect on yesterday’s activities. That was the most you’ve opened up to someone ever and Din shared so much of his story, too. Not to mention the hasty sex in the field. It truly was a day you’ll never forget.
And then you see Din, walking down the street towards you with a saunter in his step, sunlight bouncing off the beskar armor. He greets you with a “Good morning, ca’tra,” and takes your bag from you.
“Good morning, Din,” you respond, walking towards the outskirts of town.
He’s usually silent when he walks, but you notice him constantly scanning the people and area around him, as if he always has his guard up. But when you enter an area with a lot of congestion he places a hand on the small of your back, keeping you close to him.
Eventually the stone covered streets turn into grass and you’re finally alone. He grabs your hand and says, “Are you ready?”
“I’ve been ready,” you laugh.
He leads you into the Crest, letting go in his head to climb up the ladder to the cockpit. Now that it’s really hitting you that you’re going to leave Naboo and travel through space, the nerves are kicking in.
You’re looking at the floor, eyes searching for something to fixate on other than the huge window in front of you. Din sits in the pilot’s seat and spins it around to face you, grabbing your chin with his hand and turning your face towards his.
“Hey. You can do this,” he says softly.
“I know. I’m just nervous,” you respond with a shaky breath.
“We don’t have to do this,” he says gently, his thumb stroking your cheek.
“No. I want to,” you say firmly, looking into his visor.
He nods and spins back around in his chair to prepare the Crest for takeoff. And before you know it you’re off the ground and Naboo is getting smaller and smaller beneath you. You want to close your eyes for fear of getting motion sickness but the views in front of you are breathtaking. You get glimpses of everything around you between the inky blackness, the stars peppered throughout, and Naboo’s three moons before he enters hyperspace. You brace yourself, closing your eyes for this part. You hear his seat spin around again and his soft modulated tone, “Feeling alright?”
Opening your eyes slowly, you’re met with the bright blue serene swirls of hyperspace. With an exhale your anxieties leave you. You did it.
“Feeling alright,” you confirm.
“Not so scary was it?” he asks, half teasing.
“Not really,” you smile.
“Should only take us a rotation or two to get to Nevarro. Are you excited?”
“Excited beyond words, Din,” you smile.
Something on the control panel beeps and you hear Din take a sharp inhale underneath his helmet. A grainy blue image of a Mandalorian is displayed in front of you. Din frantically scrambles to press buttons but it’s no use. You’re listening to the transmission come through and you can’t believe your ears.
“Hello, riduur. Take all the time you need. Grogu is doing well. We both miss you very much. Be sure to take care of yourself! Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum,” the woman says.
And then the transmission is over. Tears sting your vision and your ears ring. You’re not entirely sure what a riduur is or what that other phrase means, but deep down there’s a small part of you that knows. You must’ve missed that word and that phrase in your readings, but it’s another woman who misses him enough to send him a transmission from wherever she is in the galaxy; that can’t be good… for you, at least.
Din isn’t saying anything but you tell he’s feeling guilty just by his body language, angled away from you with his shoulders slumped.
“Din… Who is that?”
More silence. But his silence says everything. Your face feels hot and your first instinct is to run; to get out of here as fast as you can. But you’re trapped in this metal box of death, locked in hyperspace. The tears are threatening to spill over and your nose tickles, sobs about to break loose. You sniffle and his visor snaps over to you.
“No. No. No. No. No ca’tra, please don’t cry,” he rambles, grabbing your hands.
“Who is that?” you repeat, looking directly at him.
“Do you really want to know?”
“Din, you have to tell me.”
He lets out a sight of defeat before saying, “That’s May… My riduur… My wife.”
You figured. Of course he’s married. Someone like him is too good to be true; too good to not come with any baggage or damning red flags. It’s your turn to be silent now, to let him do all the explaining, to let him grovel at your feet for forgiveness.
“Ca’tra?”
“Starting now, you’re one hundred percent honest with me. Got it?” you say firmly, pointing a finger at him like you did at the front desk at the inn when you first met.
“I don’t know where to start.”
“From the beginning,” you say coldly, folding your arms.
“May is a fellow member of the Children of the Watch. When we reclaimed Mandalore and finally started settling down, everyone started getting married and I felt pressure to get married, too.”
“Why?” you respond, rolling your eyes.
“For a few reasons, peer pressure, the pressure to devote myself fully to the tribe, and for my son.”
“Your son?”
“I took in a foundling who used to be one of my bounties. The empire wanted him for his blood since he’s force sensitive. I rescued him and brought him to his own kind; a Jedi. But he decided he wanted to come back to me and he’s been with me ever since.”
“That’s… very kind of you,” you offer, admiring that part of his story.
There’s a beat of silence and you feel the urge to ask what you’re dying to know.
“Do you love her?” you press.
“No,” he admits.
“Then why are you with her?”
“…Convenience I guess. She doesn’t ask a lot of questions. She doesn’t mind that I’m gone for long periods of time. She takes care of Grogu while I’m away.”
“None of that matters if you’re in a loveless marriage,” you state.
He falls silent. You got him there.
“Were you married when I first met you?”
“Yes.”
“How long?” you ask, your questions rapid fire.
“A little over two weeks.”
“So this is recent?”
“Yes.”
“Why are you with me and not with her?”
“Because I don’t feel anything for her. I feel something for you, ca’tra.”
You’re caught between a few decisions; 1. Tell him to take you back to Naboo and never see him again. 2. Look past this and continue to be with him. 3. Go to Nevarro and finally get your chance to see the galaxy, then make your final decision about what to do.
…You’re leaning towards the latter.
“Ca’tra?” he asks, removing you from your thoughts.
You sigh. “You’re going to take me to Nevarro. And then I will decide what happens between the two of us. Are we on the same page?”
“Of course,” he says softly, with a mixture of relief and defeat in his voice, like he knows this could’ve been worse but it’s also not the best outcome either.
So, you spend the rest of your time on the Crest with a comfortable distance between each other. He lets you sleep on his cot while he retreats to the cockpit, leaning back in his seat and resting his feet above the control panel. Yeah, that can’t be comfortable… At least it’s only for a short while. But as you fall asleep for the last time before landing on Nevarro, you think to yourself, will you stay with him? Or will you leave him?
-
It’s time to land on Nevarro. You’re so excited that you put your ill feelings for Din aside for the moment. Right now, this is about you and what you’ve wanted for so long.
He parks the Crest in the lava flats and you can’t get out of the ship fast enough, anxious to see something new. As soon as the exit ramp is lowered you barrel out of the ship and onto the rocky terrain. Nevarro has been of special interest to you ever since you learned about its volcanic nature, specifically its lava flats and hot springs. It’s a beautiful day, you couldn’t have asked for sunnier conditions.
“What do you think?” he asks after you’ve had a moment to soak it all in.
“I think I like it,” you say. “Do you ever… get the urge to touch the lava when you’re here?”
“What? No.”
“Oh, come on. How could you not?”
“Because I know it’s dangerous.”
“But what if it wasn’t?”
“…But I know it is.”
“You just don’t get it,” you sigh.
“I guess I don’t,” he chuckles.
This is good. Humor is good. It’s cutting the tension a little.
“Okay but let’s say you could touch the lava without it harming you, would you?”
“I guess? But what purpose does that serve?”
“To see what it feels like!”
“Still not getting it,” he laughs.
“What else would you like to see?” he asks.
“The hot springs.”
“Okay, they’re not that far from here,” he says.
He closes up the ramp to the Crest before leading the way, the walk there pretty silent. The laugh you shared before cut some of the tension but it’s still not enough. You’re still mad at him and he knows it.
But now you’re standing in front of the hot springs and it’s just… Well, you’ve been cramped in the Razor Crest for so many hours. You need to take a dip. You start shedding layers of clothes and Din’s breath hitches. Once you’re completely naked he asks, “Wh-what are you doing?”
“Going in the hot spring?”
“…Like that?”
“You want me to jump in fully clothed?”
“Well no, but-”
“Shh, let me enjoy this.”
He watches as you step in the warm water, his visor glued to your figure.
“Mmm, feels good. Bet you wish you could join,” you say, floating on your back, your nipples peeking up through the surface.
“Ca’tra…” he groans.
“What?” you ask innocently, swimming to the edge of the springs and resting your elbows on it.
He crouches to your level and caresses the side of your face with his hand.
“Please forgive me.”
“Why should I?”
“Because… Because I’ll treat you right... Because I need you.”
You sigh. Your feelings for him are undeniable. Part of you can’t get past the fact that he’s married and part of you wants to ignore it completely.
“I’m getting there, Din.”
“Really?”
“Yes,” you respond, closing your eyes.
“I’ll take it.”
“Oh, you better,” you say, eyes flying open, “Because that’s all you’re getting right now,” you finish, pointing a finger at him.
He takes your hand in his and softly says, “Thank you.”
“Where to next after this?”
“My house?”
“Sure.”
“It’s not much. I haven’t gotten around to furnishing it much yet.”
“I mean… Do you at least have a bed?”
“…Yes.”
“That’s all we need.”
“Dirty girl you are, ca’tra.”
You laugh and swim backwards, floating in the water and feeling the warm sun on your face.
“Do you ever miss… feeling the elements? Like the sun on your skin, swimming, the wind in your hair,” you ramble but then you stop yourself, “Oh kriff, I’m sorry. What if you don’t have hair? I-”
“You’re okay,” he chuckles, “Sometimes I do. One time I had to bathe in the Mines of Mandalore and I did it with all of my armor on.”
“And how did that work out for you?”
“I sank like a rock.”
You imagine the sight in your head and now you’re laughing, fully making fun of him.
“It’s not that funny,” he says.
“Oh but it is.”
He chuckles and lets you enjoy more time in the springs before deciding it’s time to go, before the sun starts to set.
“Here,” he says, taking off his cape, “To dry off.”
You step out of the water and take his cape from him, running the fabric up and down your skin. He watches you the whole time because of course he does. He’s completely enamored with you. You could be in the refresher, or reading a book, or watching paint dry, and he would watch you like you’re the most interesting and beautiful creature in the world. Because you are to him.
You put your clothes back on and hand him his cape back. He heads the way to his house. There’s literally no one around but he still places a hand on the small of your back, keeping you close to him.
He stops in front of a small tan house and says, “Well, this is it.”
It suits him. It’s a simple utilitarian type of home. There’s an awning hanging off the front of the house, hovering over a chair and a metal bar to put your feet up. The front yard is grassy and rocky, with a tree and a small pond filled with frogs. It’s cute. You wonder if his son’s been here… if his wife’s been here.
“I’ll get you settled inside, and then I’ll go land the Crest in the back.”
He opens the door for you and shows you to the bedroom before leaving to get the Crest. And he was right, the house is bare bones. You explore while he’s gone. The kitchen has all its appliances but no table. The living room is just an empty room with a small couch. There’s a small bedroom next to his with a crib, presumably for his son. And his bedroom is just a bed, nothing more. You sit down on the bed and fantasize about what it would be like to live here with him, enjoying a simple, domestic life together. And now you’re really wondering if his wife’s been here.
The door opens and he enters the house, heading into the bedroom and asking you, “What do you think?”
“It’s nice, Din,” you reply as he sits down beside you.
He puts an arm around your shoulders and you two sit there in silence before you bring yourself to ask the question that’s been weighing heavily in your mind.
“Has your family been here?” you ask, purposely ignoring the word wife.
“Just Grogu.”
It shouldn’t make you feel special that you’ve been here and his wife hasn’t, but it does. Not that that really matters in the grand scheme of things. She’s married to him and you’re not.
You flop down on the bed and he lays down next to you, rolling over to his side and looking at you. He runs a hand along your side, tracing your outline. It isn’t long before his hand slips below the waistband of your pants and you let it happen, trying to ignore the mixture of melancholy and guilt swirling in your stomach.
“Do you want me, ca’tra?” he asks.
“Of course, Din.”
He moves to the edge of the bed, slipping off your pants and getting in between your legs. He runs a finger up and down your entrance. You’re already wet, but the truth is you’ve been wet since you stripped for him at the hot springs, getting off on his frustration.
“Do you ever want to feel it?” you ask.
“So bad,” he groans.
“Do it then.”
And he does, ripping off his gloves and tossing them on the floor before replacing his fingers on your cunt. You look at his hands, tanned with a few scars, and try to imagine what the rest of him looks like.
He slides a finger inside you and keeps it there for a moment, unmoving and feeling your wetness.
“Kriff, ca’tra,” he curses.
“Keep going.”
He adds a second finger and leans forward so his helmet is right in front of your face. He studies your face as he fingers you, curling them against your g-spot.
“Cum for me, mesh’la,” he says softly.
And you do, your walls fluttering around his fingers. When you’re done coming he pulls his hand from you, bringing his hand in front of his helmet and looking at the mess you made for him.
“Good girl,” he purrs.
You sit up and pull off your shirt over your head, spreading your thighs farther apart for him. He’s anxious to be inside you already, pulling out his cock and giving it a few strokes before aligning himself with your entrance.
He grabs your hand as he enters you, his body pressed up against yours under the dim light of his bedroom. For a moment when you have him like this, you pretend he’s all yours.
You wrap your legs around his waist, pulling him deeper into you and he curses under his breath again.
“Not gonna last long if you keep doing that, ca’tra,” he sort of half groans, half chuckles.
“Me neither,” you breathe out.
You writhe underneath him and before you know it you’re both coming simultaneously, panting against each other as you both ride out your highs. He pulls out of you once the final drop of his cum has been spilled inside you and lies down on the bed. It’s silent again for a moment, the small room only filled with the sounds of your breathing before you speak first.
“Thanks for bringing me here,” you say, starting to feel tired.
“Of course. Anywhere else you want to go?”
“Really anywhere,” you sigh, “But Coruscant has a lot to do.”
“Ugh, Coruscant.”
“Not a fan?” you chuckle.
“Too many people.”
“I’d honestly go anywhere but I’ve been dying to go to Aldhani.”
“I’ve vaguely heard of it.”
“Well, have you heard of the Eye of Aldhani?”
“No, what’s that?”
“Every three cycles the planet passes through a crystal belt and the crystals burn up in the atmosphere. It looks really beautiful. I’ve only ever seen pictures of it in the books at the library,” you say, finishing with a yawn.
“Wow, it sounds interesting. But you better get to sleep, ca’tra. You’ve had a long day.”
“Big day for sure,” you respond, getting under the blanket.
Din gets up to turn the light off and joins you under the covers.
“Goodnight, Din,” you whisper.
“Goodnight, ca’tra.”
Din
Din didn’t fall asleep as fast as you did. Instead he made a mental note to look up the Eye of Aldhani find out when the next one is. Even if it’s not happening anytime soon, he needs to take you there. He’d cross the entire galaxy and back if it meant putting a smile on your face.
-
In the morning when you both wake up, Din heads off to the market to fetch breakfast, and also some tracking fobs for a couple easy bounties from Karga. He has to keep up in the inflow of credits and supplies if he wants May to keep believing his lies.
He comes back to the house and you’re still sleeping. He sits on the edge of the bed and watches you while you peacefully rest. In his mind he’s yours and only yours. His marriage to May is one of obligation, out of keeping up appearances with the Mandalorian culture. But as for the one he has real romantic feelings for? It’s you without a doubt in his mind.
You wake up and greet him with a soft “good morning”. He wishes all of his mornings could be like this, waking up together after having sex the night before, eating breakfast together, and enjoying each other’s company. He wishes he could have you whenever he wanted, whatever time of day, not when it’s a convenient time for him to leave Mandalore. It makes his stomach hurt knowing he has to leave you again soon.
You spend the rest of the rotation lounging around the house, taking you back to the hot springs, spending time in his backyard, and even taking a trip to the market in the city center when it’s particularly dead.
That night he has you again, as many rounds as you’ll let him before your legs completely give out. For a moment it feels normal, like this is actually his life. But when he wakes up the next morning the fantasy starts to dismantle itself as it’s time to go. At least there’s alone time with you in the Crest on the way back to Naboo, he thinks to himself. And it’s a lot more enjoyable than the trip to Nevarro when you found out about May.
But eventually that comes to an end, too, and now he’s walking you back to your apartment building.
“Din,” you say softly before parting ways.
He’s holding you against him, reveling in the feeling of enjoying your presence before it’s ripped away from him.
“Leave your wife,” you say, barely even coming out as a whisper.
He says nothing, continuing to hold you and waiting to see if you say anything more. You don’t. Maybe you’re thinking that he didn’t hear you.
“Goodbye, ca’tra,” he says, pulling himself off of you despite how hard it is.
“Goodbye, Din,” you respond, turning and entering your building.
He watches until you’re out of his sight before letting out a sigh and heading to the library. Oh how he wishes he could leave May without destroying his reputation, destroying everything he’s worked so hard to rebuild. If he could leave May without becoming an apostate again he’d do it in a heartbeat. He’d bring you to Mandalore despite what people would say. It doesn’t matter what anyone would have to say about it because as long as he has his creed, Grogu, and you, he wouldn’t care about a single other thing in the galaxy.
While he’s at the library, he looks up the Eye of Aldhani. And you were right, the pictures are stunning. He thinks about your reaction when he takes you there and how happy you’ll be. He has to take you there. His mind is set on it. He looks at the date of the next one and to his surprise it’s soon, in about forty rotations. He looks up the best hyperspace route to get there from Naboo. And now with a formed plan in mind of when he’s going to see you again, he can rest a little bit. He heads back to the Crest and begins the long journey home.
The next few rotations are a blur. Din feels like he’s going through the motions, like he’s on autopilot. He grabs the two bounties, heads back to Nevarro, collects the credits, buys some things needed back on Mandalore, and immediately makes the trip back. No crashing at the house this time, for a couple reasons. Going there would remind him too much of you and the faster he gets back to Mandalore the faster he can leave again.
He lands on Mandalore and feels the dread build in his stomach. Time to put on a facade. He hauls all of the items off the Crest and heads back to his house. In his absence May has painted the family signet on the front of the house.
When he returns home May is overjoyed to see him and so is Grogu. May has her helmet off and Din can barely look her in the eye, even with his own helmet on.
“How was it?” she asks, “I know you said one of the bounties gave you some trouble.”
“He did but it just took some more of my time. That’s all,” he lies.
May looks at the items he brought and says, “Thank you, Din. You work so hard to provide for us.”
A lump forms in his throat. He feels ill. May doesn’t deserve any of this; any of his lies. She’s a good person. She’s a well respected member of the tribe. She’s a skilled warrior. She’s great with Grogu. She puts up with Din’s long absences. But when it comes down to it, he doesn’t love her. And that will probably never change.
That night when they’re laying in bed she asks if they could have sex again. It’s the last thing he wants to do, especially now that in his mind he’s fully pledged to you. But he’s also tired and he tells her that. At least that part isn’t a full lie.
May understands. Of course she does. She has to be one of the most patient people in the galaxy to put up with Din and his many excuses.
That night his dreams are filled with you like they always are. Except this time you’re on Aldhani together, watching the colorful sky above you without a care in the world.
So close yet so out of reach.

advice on how to get over the fear that t is going to make me ugly? or that i’m going to miss “the old me”
i’m a queer trans guy and i’ve been questioning going on t for years now and i know i definitely want bottom growth, body fat redistribution and more body hair.
but im err on the side of face and voice changes. i’m scared of disliking my new voice and suddenly growing dysphoric over it (i dont have too much voice dysphoria now) and disliking how my new face will look. i’m kinda genderfluid as well so it’s complicated. but i don’t want to go my whole life without knowing what it’s like to be on hrt. but i can’t get over the fear of looking/finding myself ugly and undesirable and losing my community... which is ironic cuz i find other trans men attractive as hell. i discussed this in therapy and i still feel this way :/
i wish there was a way for me to start without telling anyone and then breaking the news when i’m experiencing changes and feeling more confident about it. i have my gender dysphoria diagnosis and i can start if i want to, but i need my family’s financial support. i don’t want to make it a big deal since it’s just something i’d be trying out to feel more like myself in certain ways.
sorry this turned into a long ass rant and you don’t have to reply but i’m just gonna kindly leave it in the ask box 💀
There's a post that goes like "all of life is irreversible. i cannot go back a single second" and I think thats something good to keep in mind when you are thinking through this. You are already living with a body that has changed and will continue to change in ways largely out of your control. You are already living in a post-irreversible-alteration body.
If you do go on T and find you don't like how your voice sounds: for one, you can stop at any time (& if you haven't checked out microdosing as an option, you should). But two: plenty of people live with a deeper voice than they want. Plenty of people live with facial hair they dislike. You can pursue the same therapies and procedures they do. Or maybe you don't, and you find ways to live with a voice or face you aren't totally in love with.
So much detransition fearmongering, especially directed at transmascs & assoc. trans people, heavily relies on the specter of the fallen woman, itself steeped in trans-misogyny & intersexism. The idea that, for one, a "woman" who has mixed-sex features is ugly and undesirable, and two, that a "woman" made undesirable is forever doomed to be miserable and worthless. The transphobic story of detransition keeps our bodies stuck in this moment of revulsion and regret, narratively preventing us as characters from being able to move on and live happy lives in atypical bodies. Even if you do regret/dislike some things about T, you are not forever stuck in that feeling. The story does not stop at that! You will just keep living and find new ways of dealing with your bodily feelings!
The social aspect of this is a bit more complicated but I also have some firsthand experience with it. Because, as mentioned before, there's a lot of transphobic misogyny/misogynistic transphobia that affects transmascs & others who go on T, who have to confront the feeling of losing your potential desirability. And then there's also the way many people are treated after going on T, facing a whole new area of bodily scrutiny: you may suddenly have people making comments about how someone needs to force teenage boys to shave because their facial hair is a personal offense. I went from being self-conscious about how high my voice was to being self-conscious about how undeniably trans my voice was. And, specifically, my facial hair, voice changes, etc. were all signs of my transmasculine desire, and I became self-conscious about how obvious it was that I desired being trans, I desired this body. I could no longer let everyone pretend I was a cishet girl at family gatherings and avoid confronting these issues, because I had essentially written I WANT TO BE A TRANNY all over my physical form.
This is something I'm still struggling with myself. I, like many other queer & autistic people, already struggled with feeling desirable or worthy of being seen alongside conventionally attractive cishet people who could act normal. Being visibly trans, and taking a huge step away from the desirable cis-perisex-girl body, can really open up that can of worms. Especially being genderfluid/genderqueer! Because we often cannot find a comfortable space for ourselves within the conventions of attractiveness for cis men, like some binary trans men are able to.
But ultimately, I don't regret going on T at all. I would have had body issues regardless, and I got a lot out of going on T. I think mentally preparing yourself to struggle with these things, and seeking out other transmasc people, is a big help. Again: all of life is irreversible. we cannot go back a single second. We are already living in imperfect bodies we struggle to love or see as worthy. If you know you want some of the things T can offer, and you don't want to go your whole life without knowing, then just do it. Dive in, and don't feel any shame if you decide to get out. Just keep living and finding ways to live better right now.

Pink Pastels Pt 21
Tumblr media
Description: After your almost disastrous encounter in the O'Hara household, you spend some time debriefing with Janey, and Miguel asks for a second date.
Pt 22
So, you what, jumped out a window?” Janey drawls, her expression both intrigued and unamused, her image freezing for a second as she moves to a part of her apartment with better Wi-Fi.
“No, I hid in his bathroom until he’d convinced Gabi to go play in her room, then sprinted into my own. Janey, it was so embarrassing, I looked like a fucking toaster strudel.”
Janey chokes on her drink. “Not a toaster strudel…”
You bury your face in your hands. “I seriously have a problem, like I need to stay away from him. That cannot happen again, it just can’t.”
A text pops up on your phone, making it vibrate.
Mr. O’Hara: Hey, I’ve been thinking about yesterday and I acted inappropriately, could I take you to dinner tonight, to make up for it? I know a place, it’s a bit out of the way, but there’s no chance anyone from Gabi’s school will see us.
You changed his name back from Miguel to Mr. O’Hara, wanting to remind yourself of the professional boundaries.
“Y/N?” Janey asks, waving her hand, trying to catch your attention.
“Yeah, sorry, anyways, I need to get a handle on myself, I swear I haven’t been this…ya know…in ages.”
Mr. O’Hara: My treat, obviously. I think I make three times what you make.
Mr. O’Hara: Shit, sorry that was rude.
Mr. O’Hara: Anyways let me know.
“I mean, technically there’s nothing in the rules that say you can’t date a parent, it’s just frowned upon.”
Y/N: I’d love to pick me up at six?
Mr. O’Hara: Absolutely, I’ll see you then.
“Yeah, but still.” You glance at the clock, it’s five ten, you definitely need to start getting ready. You pick up your phone and move into your bathroom, continuing to chat with Janey as you get ready.
Six o’clock on the dot, Miguel is at your door. He’s dressed casually, which is a relief because so are you.
He hands you a bouquet of flowers, roses, a bit basic, but beautiful. “Again, my apologies, and I’m glad you’re letting me take you out, I really do like you, y/n, as cheesy as that sounds.”
You take the flowers and quickly put them in a vase before following Miguel down to the parking garage.
It’s a long drive, maybe an hour from your place, but once you arrive you understand.
It’s a small restaurant out of the city, a bit run down, but the neon sign is bright, and you can already smell food.
“This is the best Mexican food in Neuva York and the surrounding area, my mother used to take my brother and I here on our birthdays.” He explains as he opens the door for you.
The restaurant is beautiful, hand painted murals, wood carved booths, warm lighting, and soft music streaming through the speakers hidden amongst the beams that hold up the ceiling.
Once you’re seated and the waitress takes your order, you sip on your water awkwardly. It’s been a while since you’ve been on an actual date.
“Do you like Mexican food?” Miguel asks, looking at the drink menu, his eyes darting to your face every other second.
“Yeah, yeah, my mom is actually from Texas, so we’d get Tex-Mex every time we went to visit her family. I know it’s not the same thing, but…”
“Gabi said your mom has lived in Nueva York her whole life?” Miguel’s eyebrows furrow and you bite your lip.
“Oh umm, so my mother, was born and raised in Nueva York, but my stepmom is from Texas. She married my dad when I was a baby, she’s basically the only mom I’ve actually had. My bio mother sued for joint custody when I was a kid, but I…I didn’t want to live with her. Scheduled visits were enough for me.” You explain, cursing yourself for even mentioning your biological mother to Gabi.
It was a rough day for her, after you learned about her mom from Melissa. You only told her to make her feel better, to let her know she wasn’t alone, but now you were kind of regretting it…
“I don’t talk about her much, she’s—she’s just a lot.” You wave your hand in the air dismissively and plaster on a smile.
“I thought my stepfather was my dad until I went to high school.” Miguel admits, setting down the drink menu.
“Oh?” You’re a little shocked, but hey, you’ve almost fucked multiple times, you’re close enough to share childhood traumas.
“My boss is my father, my mother had an affair with him, I have a half-sister, Monica who is a notorious gossip, but might be my best friend, maybe my only friend? I’ve got coworkers I occasionally get drinks with but…”
You giggle, half at the way he says it, half out of nerves. “Sorry, sorry, please go on.”
He gives you a sheepish smile. “It’s pathetic, I know, a grown man whose best friend is his sister.”
“No, no, I think it’s sweet.” You reassure him.
“And what about you? Siblings? Friends?” Miguel scoops some salsa onto a chip.
“I’ve got a younger brother, he’s a pilot, never around, always sending photos from exotic places, and then Janey, she teaches with me, and she’s my best friend.” You stir the queso in front of you with the spoon provided, watching as the jalapeños sink into the cheese.
Miguel nods. “The tiny black woman with the brightly colored outfits?”
“Everyone is tiny compared to you. But yes, she is short.” You defend Janey playfully, knowing Miguel doesn’t mean anything by it.
“It’s not my fault I was blessed with the stature of a Greek god.” Miguel shrugs, a teasing smile tugging at his lips.
You roll your eyes. “It must be so difficult for you.”
“It is, actually, do you know how many old ladies hit on me?”
You laugh at that, picturing giant, buff Miguel running from grandmothers chasing him down with their canes and walkers. “I am so sorry for your struggle.”
He laughs as well. “I appreciate it.”
“Is your mom still in Neuva York?” You ask, taking a bite of a queso covered chip.
“Yeah, I have her set up in this nice apartment, it’s quiet, she can get her groceries delivered to her if she wants, there’s a pool she and Gabi go swimming in, and she’s on the building’s HOA which is always entertaining.”
“I can’t imagine the stories apartment HOAs have to tell.”
Miguel pitches up his voice, laying on a thick Mexican accent. “Mijo you will never guess, the man upstairs, with the little dogs, a killer, the police came today, took him away. Dios nos salve a todos.”
“That means like God save us, right?” You ask, trying to remember what that Catholic dude from Law and Order: SVU used to say.
“Close, God save us all.” Miguel smiles at you, then the waitress when she sets your food down.
Your waitress’ face tints red, and you feel a wave of jealousy wash over you. You wait until she’s gone, then continue the conversation. “Wait, was he actually a murderer?”
Miguel chuckles. “No, his dogs have been killing birds, squirrels, and other small animals outside the building. He’s been cleaning them up, but apparently disposing of them in the wrong dumpster. Maintenance in the building just wanted to show him the right one to use.”
“Ah, I see.”
“My mother has a wild imagination; I think she gets bored sometimes.” Miguel says. “I should take Gabi to visit her more often but…”
“Being a secret superhero takes up a lot of time?” You joke in a hushed voice, looking around to make sure no one is paying attention.
“Exactly.” He takes a bite of his food, carnitas.
“Sure, keeps you out late, on the street, rooftops, balconies…” You trail off, taking a bite of your quesadilla.
Miguel swallows hard. “I like keeping people safe.”
You nod. “And you’re good at it, I’m glad to have a superhero living in my building.”
“Thank you.” He says softly.
For a moment, you wonder if anyone ever thanks Miguel for what he does. You’re sure people thank him when he saves them, but outside of that? When he’s just patrolling, watching over the city?
“Last time I talked to my mom, she was complaining about my dad keeps the house too cold, and that there’s nothing good on TV anymore.”
“She’s right, there’s nothing good on TV anymore.”
“There’s some good movie though, like that one that came out a bit ago, based on a comic book?” You wrack your brain, but can’t remember what it’s called.
“I only see the movies Gabi wants to see.” Miguel admits sheepishly.
“Well, good thing she’s got good taste.”
You both walk back to Miguel’s car, hands brushing against each other, pinkies almost linking then shying away at the last second.
“Thank you for this, it was nice.” You say, looking up at him, the moon a halo behind his head, dousing him in an ethereal glow.
“No, thank you, I know we’ve kind of gone about things backwards, and that you’re Gabi’s teacher, but I…I really do like you, y/n. I enjoy spending time with you, I like hearing your stories, and telling you mine…”
You take the plunge and link your hand with his. “I like spending time with you too Miguel.”
His fingers interlace with yours. “My work is having a gala in a few weeks, would you come with me? As my date?”
Janey is never going to let you live this down.
“Yeah, sure, sounds like fun.” You tell him, heart skipping a beat when he lifts your hand to his lips and presses a soft kiss to it.
“I’ll give you more details as I get them, but I promise it will be a night to remember, even if all you remember is my coworkers getting drunk off their asses.”
You thank him when he opens the car door for you, then he slides into the driver’s seat.
Miguel walks you to your door, lingering in its frame as you hold each other’s gaze, silly lovesick smiles on your faces.
“I should go to bed.” You say, making no attempt to break away from his gaze.
“Me too.” Miguel echoes, also not moving an inch.
“Thank you, again, for dinner.”
“It’s no problem, I’d like to do it again if you’d let me?” He tilts his head to the side, a soft smile on his face.
“I’d like that.” You tell him before you finally take a step back and into your apartment. “Goodnight Miguel.”
He grabs your wrist, gently, reverently, and presses his lips to your palm, the warmth of his face feels nice of your cold hand, the slight stubble tickles your skin, and his lips are soft. “Goodnight y/n.” Then he releases you and turns to go into his own apartment.
You shut your door, face burning. How was it, that out of everything Miguel’s done, that’s what makes your head spin a thousand miles in every direction imaginable?
He really is something else, huh?

But I have the reverse stuck in my head and so I’m making it your problem!
Maybe they’re at the same university or something but Dream knows of Hob, this loud brash jock who once tried to buy him a drink at a bar (a mean-spirited joke, surely, the star of the rugby team making fun of the friendless poetry major). He was annoyed the second Hob stepped into the elevator and gave him that wide smile with soft brown eyes…
And then the elevator stops between floors and the lights flicker out and Dream rolls his eyes, prepared to deal with an hour or two of Hob’s prattling as the subtle scent of his cologne fills the small area.
Except Hob falls utterly silent. Dream looks over and sees him sinking to the floor struggling to breathe.
“I’m fine,” hob assures him. He is not fine. Hob has some trauma regarding small spaces. It’s so embarrassing because Hob has had such a crush on Dream and dream already clearly hates him. This is just going to make it worse.
“You are…not fine,” Dream says. It is distressing to see Hob this way. It hurts Dream to see his eyes fill with tears. He kneels beside him calling on all his tactics for soothing his younger sister, Delirium who frequently has panic attacks.
They sit together for two hours and all of Hob’s trauma spills out, how he is an orphan here on scholarship and losing his family made him determined to live his life to the fullest and most joyful every day. Dream holds him in his arms and is forced to realize his impression of Hob was all wrong. And this time, once the elevator is working again, he’s the one who offers to buy Hob a drink at the nearby cafe, because he can’t leave him alone until he gets Hob smiling again.
Love this!! I love it when Hob is the vulnerable one, and Dream gets to take care of him.
Everyone says that Hob is so nice, he's a sweetheart, and despite being a big deal with the sporty kids he has friends all over campus. He gets in fights sometimes but it's always in defence of himself or one of his friends.
Of course Dream thinks that all this is too good to be true. Hob may be sweet and handsome but there must be some underhand reason for all his kindness, surely?
Meanwhile Hob is absolutely bummed that the person he's had a massive crush on since the first semester clearly thinks that he's annoying and awful. Hob (ADHD icon) spent his whole high-school career being told that he was too much, too irritating, too loud. It really hurts that Dream clearly thinks that, too.
So when they get stuck in the lift together, Hob is really really trying not to be annoying. Trying not to breathe too hard or sweat too much. Obviously it just makes him panic more, and he can feel Dream staring at him... and that's when he starts crying.
The next few hours are a bit of a messed up blur for Hob. When he comes back to full awareness he's curled up in Dream’s arms, shaking slightly, snuffling against his neck. Dream is stroking his hair and talking to him and Hob is very much convinced that he's in heaven.
They come out of the lift holding hands, and they continue holding hands in the cafe, and when Hob dozes off with his head on Dream’s shoulder on the bus home... Dream doesn't let go. He's got to admit, he was wrong about Hob. And he can't wait to get to know the boy who's currently snoring into his ear.

solitary embers:
the deadly dance of the jack of hearts.
a/n: chishiya x flirty!clever!reader. this is during the solitary confinement game that’s played in season two! my first fanfic on here…. i’m trying my hardest LOL. anyway… list of flirting from the reader, chishiya definitely “hates” it. erm ya this will be a series with smut at some point enjoy!!! also.. i don’t remember like anyone’s name except for urumi, banda and obi
within the dark confines of teio prison, another sinister game of life and death began—the jack of hearts. each player wore a collar with a hidden card suit on the back, and the challenge was to deduce their own symbol without the aid of mirrors or reflective surfaces. the stakes were high, and the players' lives hinged on their ability to trust others to unravel the mysteries of their collars.
amidst the tension and uncertainty, you found yourself in a large room with 19 other players, including chishiya shuntaro, a master strategist that you played with during the game of tag. “chishiya!” you called out, relief washing over you seeing that at least you weren’t alone, you knew chishiya, he’s smart. you needed him on your side for this game specifically. he softly nodded in your direction.
as the hour of free roam began, players scattered across the prison, forming alliances in their quest for survival. you observed the interactions among the others, trying to discern who might be a trustworthy ally and who could be the elusive jack of hearts. soon you cautiously ventured into the prison grounds, your heart pounding with anxiety. the atmosphere was tense, and the sense of isolation weighed heavily on your shoulders. a large monitor displayed the faces of your fellow participants, a haunting reminder of the deadly stakes. as you continued your exploration, you spotted chishiya, he appeared deep in thought, you followed his gaze that was fixated on the same monitor. a part of you wished you could approach him, hoping that his keen mind might offer valuable insights. however, you hesitated, unsure if he would welcome any intrusion. you soon found the snack area, looked around at the large amount snacks and water provided. it seemed the prison authorities were intent on making this a long-lasting ordeal. the realization that this game could continue for what seems like forever only added to the weight on your shoulders. as you continued you search you wound up back in the main room, chishiya still there. you weren’t close in any means, but the shared experience of one game together meant you could trust eachother on a surface level.
"hey, have you figured out your symbol?" urumi asked, approaching you with a weirdly big grin. "um not yet," you replied, trying to keep your nerves in check. "but i’m working on it." you flashed two quick thumbs up with a sarcastic smile on your face. chishiya stood against a wall nearby, listening to the exchange silently. he glanced at you and raised an eyebrow, as if to say, "are you okay?" you offered a small nod, appreciating the unspoken support. you walked over to him,“chishiya.. have you noticed anything that could help us?” you asked, his eyes met yours, he smirked briefly and stated “observation is key. we have pay attention to even the smallest details.” youre curiosity piqued, you winked and leaned in his ear, making it look like you had something extremely important to say, “well, chishiya, i’ve done some observing, and i’ve deducted that you’re one of the most intriguing details about this whole place… i can’t help wonder what’s lurking behind those mysterious eyes..” you leaned back against the way a slight smile on your face. his lips twitched, finding it hard to suppress a smirk as the lightest shade of red dusted his ears and cheeks. “you know, flattery won’t get us out of here.” he turned his head as he spoke, thankful that it’s slightly dim in the room. “ah but it never hurts, does it chishiya? besides, we could all die tomorrow, why not have some fun?” you turned your head to meet his gaze, shrugging as you spoke. “let’s just focus on the game.” he couldn’t read you, were you being serious? or just trying to lighten the mood? or both?? “aw i promise not to distract you too much” you sarcastically spoke, he ignored you, and looked at the the groups trying to observe them without thinking about what you just said.
as the minutes dwindled, everyone walked to find their chosen confinements to say their card suit. you and chishiya slowly made your way to the cells, walking side by side. "i can't help but feel that this game is designed to sow distrust among us," chishiya said, his voice low but steady. you nodded in agreement. "of course our resident genius knows what to do, i get it, it's all about survival. we can't let ourselves get too comfortable with anyone." he rolled his eyes at the first part of your sentence, “let me say it again, flattery won’t get us out of here, y/n” you giggled a little bit side eyeing him. he intrigued you, it felt like forever ago since you guys played tag with usagi and arisu. you couldn’t hide the fact that he piqued your interest that night, watching from afar from the highest floor, then pulling out a homemade taser??? you wanted to break his shell. figure out if his quiet exterior hid a deeper level of insight and emotion. a voiced chimed to let the players know they should retreat to their cells as they had five minutes left. both slowly approaching your cells, you asked, “i can trust you right ?” and turned around. with a subtle gesture, chishiya reached out and lifted your hair, fingers brushing against you neck leaving a trail of goosebumps down your spine. your heart skipped a beat, you found him attractive yea, and this had to be done in order for you to make it to the next round, but you couldn’t help feel soothed by his electrifying touch, a tender twinge of intimacy in the midst of a deadly game. he pretty much read your mind, “i’m sorry, it’s the only way” he murmured, voice soft and hesitant, almost as if he wanted to explain the touch. he leaned in close to you, his warm breath grazing your ear, “hearts.” you bit your lip, trying to steady your racing thoughts. “thank you.” you whispered back, all the confidence you had when flirting with him previously gone. grateful for the moment of trust. you turned back around facing him, “well mr. mysterious, it’s only fair if i tell you yours..” you tried being playful to ignore the fact you could hear your own heartbeat in your ears. he took off his hood, “spades.” you said as he turned back around. he nodded, a silent gesture that was still appreciated.
you entered the cell, as it seemed to hold its breath as you waited for the prompt to give your answer. mind still flustered from the earlier interaction, “hearts.” moments later, a soft click echoed through the cell, confirming your answer was correct.
RAHHHH!!!!!

evan buckley x reader
a/n: THAT UR LOOKIN FOR A BOYFRIEND I SEE THAT GIMME TIME YK THAT IMA BE THERE
she kind of looked like a robber smuggling boxes into the car. but, she looked beautiful while she did it. i saw the renting sign outside when i left for work every day. i wondered who’d be coming in next, but i just figured it was no one that would be too interested in me.
“here, can i help you with that?” i asked, noticing her struggle to carry in the two boxes.
“please,” she smiles. that’s when i first noticed her beauty. she graciously looked at me with the most gentle persona.
“i’m evan, buck,” i decide to say, despite my nervousness that’s accumulated from her. “i live right there.”
“good to know,” she says. “i don’t know anyone in this building, so it’s nice someone’s finally said something.”
i smile back at her, leading the boxes into the room. it looked similar to mine, so i knew where to put things.
“i hate moving,” she groans. “it’s such a pain.”
“i know, i remember when i moved out of my old place i just threw out a bunch of stuff.”
she looks back at me, and i feel the heat on my neck. i’ve known this woman for maybe five minutes and i’m already nervous near her. i cant be falling for someone this quickly. it’s happened in the past, and i won’t let it happen again.
“are you from the area?” i manage to ask to break the silence.
“yeah, i’ve lived in california my whole life, but never in la. you?”
“i’ve bounced around a lot. mainly from pennsylvania but i came here to work for the LAFD.”
“you’re a firefighter?”
“i am,” i grin, it’s already clear to her how much i love my job. “i love it, the team here is so great. the areas pretty good, too.”
“you’ll have to show me around sometime,” she says, effortlessly.
“yeah!” i reply, too fast which makes her bewitching smile appear again. “or, sure, i’d love to. if you need anything, i’m right next door.”
“thank you, buck,” she starts walking toward the open door to grab another box as i slide out next to her.
“of course…” i point at her lightly, realizing i don’t even know her name and i like her already.
“y/n,” she tells me. of course she has a beautiful name.
“right, y/n,” i send her another grin and go back to my apartment. when i see hen and chim walk toward my door, i meet them there.
“who’s that?” chimney asks.
“just a neighbor,” i say. “i was helping her move in.” the two partners exchange a glance, knowing i never meets a girl without taking an interest in her.
whenever i leave for work on certain days, it’s around the time y/n leaves too. she’s dressed in a casual, but business-like outfit that fits her perfectly. everyday, i’m blessed with the sight of her when start walking down the hallway. suddenly, today when i see her walking from her room, i can’t help but smile at her in hopes to get back her shining one.
“hey,” she speaks softly.
“hi,” i reply. “you like the building so far?”
“it’s perfect,” she exhales. “its so much better than the last place i was. it was my ex’s, but it didn’t work out.”
“oh, i’m sorry,” i say, but i’m also trying to figure out if i’m actually sorry.
“don’t be,” she manages to still pull out a bright aura that just makes everyone around her feel the same. “there’s better things waiting for me.”
after, she walks away and out of the building, and i pause behind her. better things, what could possibly be better. my next thought could have risen from my ego, but maybe i can be the next better thing.
at work, i’m permanently wondering about her. i don’t want to scare her off, she just moved in. something about her is catching me. it’s more than just her glory, it’s her mood and the way she carries herself with such decency and respect. she’s truly one of the most beautiful people i’ve ever seen, just to add. even when i’m sitting in the truck on the way to a scene, i just think about her over the rumbling of the street and murmuring of my friends.
“what’s got him so… on another planet?” bobby asks, looking back to me.
“sorry, what?” i ask, snapping out of y/n in my mind.
“i think i might have an idea,” hen teases, giving me a suggestive look. “any new neighbor time?”
“aw, the kids got a crush!” chim pokes his own fun at me, nudging my shoulder lightly as he chuckles at himself next to me.
“it’s not a crush,” i try and clear. “i just- she’s really nice and she’s gor- guys she’s gorgeous. she’s also single! so, more for me i guess.”
“listen, kid,” bobby starts. “just don’t get too attached too fast. remember how upset you were with abby?”
“trust me, she’s no abby-“
“where does she work? who’s her family? what’s her life behind closed doors?” i remain silent after being bombarded with questions. i know they’re trying to save me from more heartbreak, but i can’t help but be a little hurt. “exactly, you don’t know anything about her. why don’t you just ask her out? really get to know her…”
“it’s way too soon, she just got settled and i don’t want to be a pest.”
“buck, do you want this to be another girl you like that moves on without you?”
“not really,” i sulk, trying to think of the brighter side.
“then go for it!” hen encourages, bouncing back in on the fun discussion of my love life.
“fine!” i agree. “i’ll try and see if she’ll go out with me, now leave me alone!” i joke, in hopes to end the talk as we pull up to the scene we were called to.
after my shift had ended, i went back home. i was secretly manifesting an interaction with her, so maybe i had a chance to speak to her. the gods must’ve heard me, because when i saw her heading out of her apartment, dressed in slightly less casual clothes. she had a see-through black top with another cropped, tank top under it with a pair of jeans. her hair was done and her makeup was too, so i figured i missed my chance. she was probably going on a date.
when her voice entered my ears, part of me just wanted to keep opening my door. i didn’t want to hear about another guy, but i knew her sweetness would make her say something to me. she didn’t deserve someone like me, but i spoke to her anyway.
“long day?” she asks, slowing herself down as she passes by me.
“not too bad,” i say, giving her a kind grin back. “you look nice, though. headed out?”
“yeah,” she sighs. “just myself, though. i got dinner with friends, but i figured i’d grab a drink or something, too. they all had to leave, though.”
“o-oh!” i say, finding myself relieved that she’s not going on a date. it’s now or never, i tell myself. i have to take this shot or i’m gonna miss her forever. as soon as i open my mouth to speak, she does too.
“i was gonna go down to the bar on 7th,” she tells me. “you know if it’s any good?”
“it’s so good there, they make the best cocktails in la,” i turn my body toward her more, and i can sense her getting nervous with the pressure in the hallway too.
“do you, um,” she stutters and laughs at herself to try and ease the tension between us. it sounds bad, but i found her nervousness adorable as i can tell what she’s going to say next. “do you wanna come with me? maybe get to, like, know one another?”
the look on my face probably was frozen in, the face of anxiety and excitement. “yeah,” i begin. “yeah, i’d love to come.”
“great,” she beams back at me, and i put my extra things in my apartment before we walk down together.
it’s definitely something great.
