Okay so these characters are p much my only OCs. they're a gang of kids (Aged 12-16) who are caught in a zombie apocalypse. Since most of their families have been lost, they decided to reject their old lives and replace their identities with their chosen objects that they use in battle. They call themselves the Knick Knacks. These characters don't have set genders, so pronouns will be thrown around wherever in description.

Backpack - The emo of the group. Backpack's bag acts as a shield, heavy weapon and storage making them the tank. Recently discovered Hatsune Miku. Can be prone to getting down in the dumps (Who wouldn't) but still cares a lot about her friends. Is best friends with Pillow, and the two balance eachother out well. Likes edgy humour and so gets on well with Metrestick

Pillow - The pastel weeb of the group. Watches a lot of anime and DEFINETLY wishes she was a catgirl. The majority of her efforts go to healing her friends using her pillow, which does low damage. She's very emotional and quite high-strung but overall wellmeaning, even if she can come off blunt or jarring. They definetly try their hardest to reduce conflict in the group and promotes unity (or the power of friendship), which can sometimes be too much. She definetly will no longer be a girl in a couple of years. Is the best friend of Backpack and the two balance eachother. Looks up greatly to Megaphone for her ability to support a group and her genius.

Jacket - the shy roadman. Jacket is a bit of a weird character. He wears a large puffer jacket in order to look larger and more imposing, wants to be seen as a roadman, but is overall too quiet and non-threatening for it to work. so they look homeless instead (they all do, its the apocalypse). He has a close connection with animals, and will stuff birds into his jacket to release as one large, powerful attack. They then have to gather the birds again. He was bullied before the apocalypse by classmates (somewhat including Metrestick) which is why he has tried to look more imposing in recent times. Gets on well with Watergun and especially Backpack as they can relate to her more quiet presence. Metrestick has made an effort to get on with Jacket now that there's no longer the pressure of peers around to impress, feeling remorse. The two still clash occasionally, but for the most part work together very well.

Watergun - the sporty "bully". Watergun deals ranged attacks. Metrestick replaced the container of the watergun with carbonated drinks bottles for more power, held together with tape. She can be harsh and hot-headed, but usually means well and can often act as a team motivator. Occasionally though, he can give in to pride and often takes control of the group even if the others disagree with them. He's strong and has a love for sports that he will passinately share with anyone, knowing a great amount of trivia (Sometimes to the annoyance of others) They like to hang out with Megaphone, Jacket, and Metrestick, but is a good friend to the rest of the group.

Metrestick - The hot-headed art kid - Metrestick was in DT (Design and technology) class when the apocalypse started, and grabbed the metrestick on the wall. His specialty is in close range fighting, giving out quick attacks. Despite being generally uninterested in school, she did have an affinity towards design and technology, finding it a good creative outlet for her emotions. Now she shares that outlet with fighting. In school he was also a bully, picking on random kids such as Jacket to impress classmates. Nowadays he instead destroys zombies in combat in order to impress and support his group. Enjoys crude humour, much tto Pillow's dismay. Despite his differences to Pillow, he still gets on well with her and they will often hang out. He enjoys showing his softer side by making gifts for his friends of fixing machinary, such as the wires on Megaphone's wheelchair. Although he generally tries to keep being sappy to a minimum in order to preerve his image. Is prone to fits of anger in which he can be a right dick (But who wouldnt in the apocalypse) Is likely to be an engineer in the future, and may also be a girl in a couple of years idk.

Megaphone - The preppy genius - Megaphone's disability means that she is unable to partake in combat due to difficulties in moving around cluttered battlefields and a general lack of strength. Instead, she has a megaphone that she uses to direct the group, playing support. Her compliments and strategies power up the Knick Knacks and her insults and taunts weaken the opponent. Megaphone is the group strategist, and is usually trusted to make the correct decisions in battle. She's also the oldest, which makes her the defacto leader anyway. She does often get frustrated and has to pass leadership onto someone else, and her disability does mean that she occasionally has to miss battle. She's confident in her intellect, (which can sometimes lead to conflict as she assumes that shes correct, especially with Watergun) but her age makes her more mature than the others meaning that she's trying to work on this. She has an interest in fashion and reality tv, and will often watch anime with Pillow when they manage to find a way to. She also loves chaos, and finds the thrill of battle to be one of her greatest passions. Her love of chaos also means that she loves watching petty drama. She gets on best with Metrestick and Pillow but makes constant efforts to be friends with all of the gang, knowing how pivotal it is in battle.

I have so many kunikatai headcanons so I thought I'd share them!

-they met in middle school

-started dating first year of high-school

-got married(illegally, kunikidas idea) in the autumn following graduation

-it was a very small wedding, consisting of the two of their parents, and a few friends from school

-it was in katais favorite Cafe, a very small place that not many people know about

-they don't live together for safety reasons

-only yosano, ranpo, and fukuzawa know

-kunikida doesn't often wear his wedding ring in fear if it getting damaged

-sometimes katai will force him to play various video games with him

-kunikida really likes stardew valley and similar games

-kunikida let's katai braid his hair sometimes

-katai sucked at first but he's surprisingly good now

-T4t kunitai

-kunikida had a 'rebellious phase' type thing in high school

-and a short emo phase in middle school

-his teachers liked him for being a smart student but hated how often he got in trouble

-he would beat up anyone who made fun of katai

-katai would always tell him not to bother doing that but would absolutely do the same if anyone made fun of kuni

-kunikida helps katai cut his hair

-katai visits the agency one day and ends up telling everyone about kunikidas high school years

-everyone is absolutely shocked (minus ranpo ofc)

-kuni frequently gets kicked out of libraries for arguing with the librarians over how the books are arranged

-They meet at the school nurses office!!-katai had a very bad panic attack and kuni got into a pretty bad fight

-school nurses kinda suck tbh so kuni helps katai with his panic attack

-they become good friends after that

-or they could meet in a school counselors office for the same reasons

-they'd probably bond the same way too bc school counselors suck more than school nurses(Like seriously though, once my old school counselor told me that I was being selfish/a selfish person for being suicidal)

-kunikida is totally the type of guy to just throw random compliments into any sentence he can

-katai let's kunikida sit under his futon with him

-pillow forts!!!!!!

-katai does his best to help

-like, talking for him as best he can when kuni goes nonverbal

-and offering him looser clothes when his feel bad

-Dazai and Chuuya were on an arcade date of their own and ran into them once

-it turned into a double date where Katai tried to beat Dazai at every game possible and the other two just watched and cheered a lil

-katai hates pda

-kunikida also doesn't like it much, he thinks it's weird and unprofessional

-they cuddle a lot at home tho

-they both confessed at the same time

-kunikida said that he had something very important to tell katai

-katai said that before that he had something to give kunikida and hands him a letter

-kuni reads the love letter and is just like.."i...I was going to say the same thing.." and looks away blushing

-Katais not bad at cooking, but he just doesn't

-They lay in bed and listen to music together

-When kunikida was a teacher Katai would stop by and bring him lunch after his missions sometimes

-Kunikida taught advanced middle schoolers algebra and paet timed at the agency after

-his students were shocked when they found out

-Kunikida got arrested for protesting and breaking off those spikes cities put up to prevent homeless people from sleeping a lot

-Katai bailed him out every time

-Kuni became pretty decent friends with a couple of other people who frequently got arrested for similar things and some of the cops who repeatedly arrested him

hai im in high school and was a camp counselor for older middle schoolers and high school freshmen for a bit :) for your question it obviously varies but in my experience my kids like photography, art, pretending to be werewolves, that one harry potter fanfic that spawned its own fandom, my chemical romance, owl house, my little pony but in a chronically online edgy way, hazbin hotel for a week, melanie martinez i think thats how you spell her name?, and gatcha life still...... thats off the top of my head o7

i was at a school football game today here are some of the highlights

- me and my friends somehow ended up hanging out with these two middle school boys who were rlly short and had rlly squeaky voices. they kept talking about “rizzing shawty up” and then asked us if we liked skibidi toilet. when we said no the kid replied in a rapping voice “she aint my hoe if she dont like skibidi toilet”

- same middle schooler was talking about how he had “five bitches on his dick” this kid is not over 4’9

- some smartass kids were like omg its an emo and one of them was about to sing that dumb ass song when i looked him dead in the eye and he just stopped. they were freshmen/middle schoolers too like know ur place mf 😭

- group of girls were talking about how my outfit was slutty (it was literally a crop top and shorts)

long story short: if someone is making fun of/talking shit about you look them dead in the eye because they most likely won’t say anything to your face.

seriously don’t take shit from mfs who peaked in high school bc they’re all gonna end up pregnant or working some boring ass job in the same town for the rest of their life

This song is just fucking perfection okay like it’s so epic and grand (the first time I made my friend listen to it she literally thought it was a Danny Elfman song LMAO like the orchestral composition is fucking bananas??) and the vocal are so CLEAN and beautiful and the lyrics to the verses are just so gut wrenching idk it’s just a perfect homage to everything Fall Out Boy is, in my opinion. it’s THEE fall out boy song of all time.

I think a lot of people compare their post-hiatus music to their original music, which isn’t really fair like obviously we’re all chasing a nostalgia high of being an emo high schooler but for me, this song is just the PERFECT mix of their new sound and their original style which to me just feels like the best because it feels so authentic and unique

Why kirishima ejirou would relate to Mary z by mc cafferty

As we know eji was “emo” in middle school and as some one who listens to “emo” kid music the probability he would know this song is high (maybe not in Japan but wtv) in highschool he would associate this song with his past especially middle school (he’s so me)

Also in this there is a lot of head cannoning (queer kirishima, bullied kirishima, mentally I’ll kirishima, kirishima likes bakugou, kirishima doesn’t like himself, etc) so BIG Tw for depressing stuff⚠️

In middle school we know he was sad due to his quirk etc. he thought that way due to the fact he thought his quirk was useless. God he hopes he doesn’t change could be mostly sarcasm in his mind but we know he does have a “violent” person per say and screams a lot so he could just be having a depressed teen angst thing here.

Talking about ua class mates, he wishes he wasn’t so safe and could take risks and be like a normal high schooler. Talking about the guys he likes, probably just hates his taste essp sense he is into men and a man. Also probably doesn’t want to like bakugou because he’s kinda off an ass to so many people and also his entire persona in general. Wishes he didn’t care so much about what people think of him. Make up=dyed hair, could also just be talking about make up. Talking about his hero and persona currently but also how he felt about himself and everyone around him, basically hated everything. What mary Zoloft in the writting is not clear on what it means is I’m skipping this. Last call=least favourite friend of everyone, the one you talk to when you are bored. One off= the different and worse one, the one who’s off his game all the time.

So I now live in a place where putting cream on my skin is not only normal but expected, because fuck desert climates, but sometimes i cannot STAND the texture. My skin is now telling me ''im itchy i need cream'' but i also know that as soon as I touch cream my entire skin entity will crawl right off my frame and escape into the night.

We all know that Batman used to laugh during Jason's era as Robin, but I think that at least the first month or so that laughter was mostly a, "what the fuck is up with this kid" kind of laughter. Like Jason is so astonishingly different from Dick as Robin (Dick: *wants to kill someone so bad he's got a severe case of Stupid and Bruce just wants him to Sit and Stay* Jason: "Robin gives me magic!!!" 🤩) that Bruce just has like No coping mechanisms for Jason lmao. The first three weeks is Bruce just going, "what the fuck? Dick didn't do that. what do you mean I'm not going to have to nag him about homework. Oh my god this teenager thinks that--yuuuup, those are rocket propelled rollerskates. Oh look, the inevitable crash." I'd be wtf laughing too if i went from 2008 MCR emo child to ray of sunshine, introduced by way of incredible ballsiness followed immediately by half assed violence and stray-cat-esque coaxing from Bruce. I'd think I was in a fever dream ngl.

Rewatching Phineas and Ferb has honestly just highlighted how much of a good guy Jeremy is. He adores Candace no matter how weird he clearly thinks she is, thinks her brothers are cool even while she's desperately trying to bust them, and, whenever she has spent the entire episode trying to be there with Jeremy until she can't STAND it any longer and goes haring off after the boys, he's just chilling in the dust and saying, "that's my girl."

Phineas and Ferb astounds me with how funny it continues to be. We've estblished Linda Flynn-Fletcher as the old pop star Lindonna, and then she likes to play jazz with two other women in the neighborhood. Imagine if Nina Sky (one hit wonder of the 2000s: Move Ya Body) had a quiet jazz trio in the middle of the suburbs of this city and dropped an album and you're just like, ah, yes, soothing jazz by Nina Sky.

And track three is a hard rock song with the lead male singer ranting to Nina about how evil their siblings are and all the rest of the tracks are back to soothing jazz. You flip over the CD case to read the back.

My #1 post of 2022

I think people need to tell more kids that they're proud of them for graduating high school. I'm absolutely dead serious, especially now. I can see the graduating high schoolers surrounding me right now are burned out and traumatized and depressed, and they've undoubtedly had a much, much harder time in high school than I ever had, and I had some pretty shitty high school experiences.

I graduated high school with no more acknowledgement than the standard "congrats on surviving another year of school!" And immediately followed by "have you finished all your scholarship applications?" That was fine for me. I knew i wanted to go to college, I was set and ready for it, eager to get out of high school into more challenging courses.

But if I just finished high school after two years of fighting through online courses and no one acknowledged the battles I went through? If I was as burnt out and traumatized as these kids are right now? I'd have never have gone to college.

So for everyone graduating high school, even if you barely scraped by passing: I see you. I'm proud of you. You did such a good job. I wish you success in what you try to do, fortune enough to keep you safe and happy, and health always.

Happy pi day! (at the end of the day, so punctual)

I am currently watching Bojack Horseman, season 5 episode 6 is definitely an interesting one so far. While I’m watching this, I’m applying for scholarships and getting rejected from colleges (RIP UChicago, you were a real one). OH! I’ve had some job interviews with a few businesses around my area, and I have enjoyed every one of them. They truly have been so nice.

In class we had to write about something real that happened to us at any point. Something personal.

Here’s mine:

Seventh grade. I was but a wee lass just trying to make my way through the uncomfortable center year of middle school. You could say I had friends, but I don’t know if that category completely suits their… characteristics. 13-year-old girls are heathens, brutes, and terrors. They can’t be trusted to do anything, let alone actually be good people.

So, here I was. Trying to live my life, being horrendously annoying (as the average junior high student is) and learning what I was passionate about—and at the time, it was punk rock, “emo” things. Picture this, little chunk of a middle schooler in Old Navy jeans, a Hot Topic My Chemical Romance shirt, and black Converse. A classic “emo” kid. However, all but one friend was not in this genre of these interests. The rest were all cheerleaders, theater kids, and our main connector was choir… and two of them were in band. 

School choir was interesting, to say the least. You either did elective courses with all the teachers in your “team”, and move around throughout the quarters, or be a performing arts kid—band, choir, orchestra. I joined choir to get out of being with the rest of my class for an hour a day and I enjoyed it. My first choir teacher in middle school, I adored this woman, she worked with us on being better singers and better people.

 It wasn’t until she left, and we had a new choir teacher for the next two years, that shit hit the fan. She outright performed favoritism with a small section of the sopranos, and the boys in the class (weird, I know). I was not in this group, but I was their friend, so while I didn’t get special treatment, my first year with this new teacher wasn’t total hell. That lasted for a short period of time.

 The favorites of the class soon became an even tighter friend group than ours was initially, and like a fool, I thought I could be involved. Turns out, they all did theater together as well. So while I was trying out for basketball, facing a lot of personal issues, they were bonding closer than ever...

That’s what I have for it so far. It’s due on the 17th which is when I get another college decision coming out. 

I’m feeling excited for life. Kind of. Nervous? Very much.
