you settled into his lap getting a bit more comfortable, but it seemed like alhaitham had frozen into place. you had been dating for a month or so, and yes he’d often call you “dear”, but a term of endearment coming from you? and that term being “baby”? he wasn’t expecting that at all.

“i–uh. book.”

that was all he could mutter, completely forgetting what he was saying, thinking even. you giggled at the sight before you, a taken aback, nervous, and speechless alhaitham; lucky for you, you’d be the only one who got to see it. you snuggled into his chest before teasing him a bit further.

“yes, baby, what about the book?”

there it was again, “baby”. it was going to be the death of him for sure.

“baby? what… what’s the meaning of this?” you weren’t going to let him off so easily, you were gonna savor this while it lasted. “babies are humans at infancy, you know, the first stage of–”

“stop teasing for my sake, please.” he let out an exasperated sigh while you just giggled at his agony. you could get used to this, if this was gonna be the reaction every time. “okay, okay, fine. there’s no reason actually. i just wanted to call you baby, and i think i’m gonna start calling you that more often.”

“i’ll allow it.” he says a little too quickly, and you know he for sure approves as well.

“hmm… but no reason you say?” you hum in approval as he shifts so that his head rests on your shoulder. you close your eyes melting into the warmth he provided; that moment of peace was short lived, however, as he started leaving kisses on the sensitive spots of your neck.

“haitham..! y-you know i’m sensitive there!”

“i know, baby, but i just felt like it. you’re acquainted with the feeling aren’t you?”

you were sitting by the window, gazing out into the vineyards of the dawn winery. it was obvious that something was running through your mind by the tense look on your face. you shook your head for a moment, before returning his gaze.

“it's nothing really. just thinking of a term of endearment for you.” you got up from your seat to approach, cup his cheeks oh so tenderly. “sweetheart, darling, honey? you have so much for me, yet i haven’t the slightest clue what to call you.” 

to think that diluc had so much affection and adoration for you, but you couldn’t even think of some cute nickname to call him. everything either felt too cheesy or too formal, but whatever he called you seemed to be just right.

“you know, whatever you might call me, i know i’ll love. you could call me a grape for all i care, and i’d still be head over heels for you.” he snaked his arms around your waist, pulling you all the more closer. he couldn’t be serious, could he?

“i’m serious, diluc! i wanna call you something that does you justice. something i could address you in letters, call you in public; something that’ll let everyone know you’re mine.”

he looks up in thought for a second, trying his best to help you out. “sugar?” “too cheesy.” “dear?” “too basic.” “... that’s all i’ve got, darling, i’m sorry.”

an idea finally pops into your head, though, something you should’ve seen earlier.

“what about beloved? because you know… i love you dearly, a-and you’re my…'' after all this time, you still find your heart racing when referring to diluc as your lover, but that only lends the nickname more points. his smile becomes a happy one, giving you a gentle peck on your heated cheeks.

“it’s perfect, beloved, and just so you know, i love you too, and you are my one and only lover.”

“kaveh, my love, could you pass me the salt?”

kaveh does as he’s told, but not without a shocked look on his face. you look up from the dough you’re mixing to see the look on his face, raising an eyebrow in response. was he not aware that you could put salt in cookies?

“love? you called me your love!!?” he was practically singing praises. you didn’t realize it meant that much to him, but you were pleased by his reaction nonetheless, a faint chuckle escaping your lips.

“is it that groundbreaking?” you genuinely doubted if he perceived you as unromantic, but you were also aware he had the tendency to be dramatic. his lips calmed down to a sheepish smile.

“it’s nothing like that, i didn’t mean to offend you. it’s just that i’ve been waiting for you to call me one, since we’ve been together.” he hugs you from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder.

“i see, i apologize if you had to wait long.” you felt a pang of guilt hit you, knowing he felt that way, but you felt him lightly shaking his head. “no, no, no. i wanted it to happen naturally, and the way you said it just earlier just felt… right.”

once it was time to put them in the oven, he still clung onto you as if you’d evaporate the moment he let go. you could never turn down his physical affection, but this was shaping up to be a bit difficult.

“kaveh… it’s a bit hard to put them in the oven without burning myself if you don’t let go.”

“really now? i’ll let go if you say the magic word.”

“hah. you’re really running with it, aren’t you?”

“magic words, love.” he earned a sigh from you before you finally gave into his desires.

“let go for a second, would you, my love?”

“of course, my love, but once those cookies are in the oven, you’re mine for the next fifteen minutes.”

“because you’re my dearest? it’s a term of endearment.” you’re sure he’s heard of pet names throughout his years on liyue, so you weren’t quite sure why he was being so naive about it.

“i know that, i just– you really want to call me that?” you nod simply, taking his hand into yours, rubbing circles into his palm.

“if it makes you uncomfortable, i won’t bring it up again. i just thought it would be a cute way of addressing you, calling for you.” there’s some disappointment in your voice, but you genuinely did not want to overstep any boundaries he wasn’t ready to cross.

“no, i love it.”

he squeezes your hand, starting up into your eyes. that look he gave you, full of affection and love, made you weak.

“are you sure? you really don’t–”

“no, i’m sure. i love it, and i’ll be there the moment you call.” there’s a pure and bright smile painted across his face, and you’ve never been more in awe. 

“g-great, that’s great!” you stutter out, not really expecting him to accept it so wholeheartedly so quickly. the space between you falls into a comfortable quiet, though you feel a wave of shyness wash over you.

“you can call me other names too, whatever you like. i’ll always be there, okay?” you nod timidly, afraid to make a fool out of yourself any further; xiao’s smile grows wider.

“hmm, then it's settled. you shall call me your dearest as you are mine, isn’t that right, my darling dearest?”

So I was thinking about your "would Bakugou chase after you, even after you're engaged" post (loved it! spinning it around in my head), and while I do think he'd probably let you go if you were truely happy with this other person, y'know what might change that? If this other person wasn't making you happy. (I’M SO SORRY FOR THE INCOMING WALL OF TEXT – please just delete if I’m being annoying!!) To explain; I think in this scenario, maybe you're still getting over a long-time unrequited crush (👀), and you're looking for something with a normal, sweet guy to help get over it. He's not the type you would usually go for, but he's nice enough (idk, maybe he has blonde hair, or red eyes, and maybe that makes it easier). And while you initially thought this would just be a short fling, it just kind of... gets away from you? A few dates turn into a few more, and then lots more and before you know it things are getting Serious. He's talking about moving in together, and you're taken aback by it (weren't you just starting to go out together? Isn't this too soon?). But it's not like you have anything real to complain about! He's not horrible to you or anything! He treats you well enough! It's just that you don't seem to feel anything... deep? for him. You don't daydream about a future together, you don't go out and wish he was there with you; Honestly, if he's not there with you, you don't think much about him at all (not the way you used to with him 👀). And hey, maybe sometimes (frequently) you end up doing things you didn't want to do, maybe he knows what to say to get you to acquiesce to his wants and needs, without coming across as manipulative. So you get the flat together, and later on (though sooner than you'd like), you accept his proposal.

2/7 To my mind, this is the kind of diverging path for Bakugou. I think, if this was a genuine whirlwind romance, and it was recognised by the people around you, he'd probably back off. For all his brashness, he wouldn't want to hurt you by ruining your wedding day to the person you actually love. TBH I can kind of see him pining for you for the rest of his life, and hoping you become a widow/er so he get another shot to confess his feelings lmao. In that situation he could write off his own negative feelings towards your fiance as his own jealousy, right? If the fiance were actually bad for you, at least one other person from your respective friend group would notice. But!! I think that would change if his opinions were backed up by his friends (because it would demonstrate that it isn’t just his jealousy tarnishing his opinion of your boyfriend) Let's imagine that maybe he isn't the only one to think something Weird is going on. Maybe he's hanging out with Denki and Sero, because he's so obviously miserable about not confessing in time, and they're trying to cheer him up (it's been a month and he's mouldering. He is suffering). In walk Eijiro and Mina, who - while they were out getting snacks that Bakugou would never even consider eating if he wasn't in the depths of despair - just so happened to run into you and your new... boyfriend? Kind of? You seemed kind of reluctant to say the two of you were dating, but he seemed nice. Eijiro thinks he's kind of bland, and Mina knows you can do better (which she says both for Bakugou's ego, and because it's true), but nice enough. And you know, maybe, for the first time in a month, Bakugou stops sitting so rigidly. He doesn't slouch per se, no. He relaxes in the same way that tiger might relax before pouncing, in the way that a hunter might breathe out before pulling the trigger. A month of dating, and you still won't call the guy your boyfriend? When you'd introduced them to each-other (after your third date), Bakugou assumed it was his jealousy that made him hate the guy. Kind of boring, kind of pushy (a/n: no, he wouldn't clock the fact that he looks like off-brand Bakugou). He didn't think it would last too long, but it still felt bitter that that was the guy who beat him to the punch.

But seriously; a month of dating, and you still won't call the guy your boyfriend? That's... interesting >:)

3/7 So months roll by, and Bakugou keeps his eye on you. He flipflops between anguishing over his jealousy, and making sure that your “boyfriend” is treating you right. Of course, it’s made harder by the fact that he doesn’t see you that much any more. Your other friends notice it too; You’re not being kept inside your (shared) flat, but you always seem busy, and a bit tired. Ochako and Iida can usually grab you for lunch, Momo swings by your flat pretty often, but your social calendar seems so full now. Full of dates and outings with your new boyfriend. Apparently, you barely have a minute for someone you’ve been friends with since childhood.

It pisses Bakugou off to no end, but he’s keeping his distance (for now). Because the thing is, Bakugou – above anything else – respects you. If you want to waste your time on some loser, he’s not going to presume that he knows better for you! Bakugou’s many things but he’s not “fuckin’ presumptuous”. Besides, if you really were in dire straights, or needed help, you’d reach out. It’s not like you don’t still send him little messages every other day; memes you think he’ll like, little scenic photographs of your dates (conspicuously, your boyfriend is missing from every single one👀). He’s Fine. He can Be Patient. (Reader, he’s been seething for months).

4/7 HOWEVER. Flashing forward to The Proposal. I think it shakes him; firstly because the person he loves is getting married to another man, and he somehow thought you’d have ended it by now. But secondly because everyone else seems to agree that it’s weird! It’s way too soon for marriage to a guy that you don’t even seem to like all that much, and while everyone gently float their concerns to you that maybe it’s just a teeny tiny smidge too soon to get married (which you rebuff half-heartedly), the group-chat is popping the fuck off. It’s definitely too soon, this guy is Too Normal in a very weird way, they barely know him, the wedding is taking place really soon, they should stage in intervention (Eijiro&Tsuyu&Sero), they should kidnap you until you realise what a mistake it would be (Mina&Denki), they should kill him (Deku&Ochako&Iida), etc. It’s pretty weird, then, that Bakugou comes in as the voice of reason; you’re a grown up, and you can make your own decisions. If you really, genuinely want to marry him, that’s up to you; After all the freedom to make your own decisions comes with the responsibility to accept the consequences. (a/n: obvs it would be phrased in a far more Bakugou-esque fashion, but you get my point). So they relent, although they’re still concerned.

So maybe a few days before the wedding he sends you a message (because it’s tricky to get a hold of you in person); he just wants to know what you see in your fiance. He wants to know if you’re really serious about him, or if you’re just settling. It’s not phrased cruelly, but it’s blunt. The message he sends isn’t nice and sweet, but it’s honest, and it comes from a place of concern.

You read it and you don’t reply.

Flash forward again, and it’s the night before the wedding. Wedding Eve, if you will. Bakugou’s in a sour mood and tries to ease his pain by heading to a bar, but it doesn’t really get any better throughout the night. He’s conflicted now more than ever; Is this guy actually awful and bad for you, or is he just jealous? Is he not stepping in because he wants to be respectful of your wishes, or because he’s afraid that by doing so he’ll reveal his own feelings, and suffer the consequent (possible) rejection? Why didn’t he just tell you how he felt before this mess started? He has a few drinks to many, and falls into a dreamless sleep.

5/7 MERRY WEDDINGMAS. It’s the day of the wedding, and because of he hit the bottle too hard last night, Bakugou’s overslept (for the first time in his life, probably). He goes to check his phone – maybe he can still make it to the wedding the venue on time?-

TWO MISSED MESSAGES.

He didn’t realise, but last night you finally replied to his message: You don’t know if you want to get married to this guy.

It’s a long, winding message, but what it boils down to is this- You threw yourself into a relationship with someone you know you don’t really love (you like him well enough, but there’s no spark), because you’ve been spending years muddling your way through a hopeless crush on someone you think will never like you back. So you’ve let yourself go along with this guy, but now you’re on Wedding Eve, and you’ve never been so uncertain of yourself! Your fiance’s a sensible choice (He’s Bland, and he’s Pushy, but he’s Nice, and he’s Normal, but maybe you’re losing yourself in your relationship with him, but maybe you just have cold feet), but you’re not sure that you care any more, and it’s now or never, and it’s ‘You, Bakugou, It’s always been you’, and you’ve been too afraid to tell him, because when does real life play out like the films? When does the years long pining, the roller-coaster of emotions, the ‘I’ve been in love with you since the moment I saw you’, have a happily-ever-after in the real world?

The next message was sent a few hours later. Evidently, you’d calmed down somewhat, because you tell him that you’re sorry for sending him all of that on Wedding Eve, that you’ve had feelings for him for a long time, but if he doesn’t feel the same it would be the kind of closure you’d need to move on. If he doesn’t want to attend the ceremony, you’ll understand and leave him alone. But if he wants to “talk” (👀!!!), then you’ll be waiting for him.

Bakugou feels raw after reading your confession; All this time, and the two of you – despite sharing the same feelings – were so afraid, and for what? The relief, the fear, the hope, all spur him into action.

He’s hungover, he’s in his pyjamas, but all the same he’s rushing towards his expensive, fuel-efficient car as fast as he can, because he has a fuckin’ wedding to stop.

6/7 Meanwhile, you’re stressed, mentally twisting into knots. Bakugou didn’t even read the messages you sent last night, which is both a relief (now you can just get married and move on) and a heart wrenching disappointment (because if you’re being honest with yourself, you were hoping he’d stop you).

You’re wearing an outfit you don’t really like, and your fiance’s family are beaming at you, although you don’t really know them so well. The venue is pleasant but not what you would’ve chosen for yourself. As you walk down the aisle, the band sounds kind of off. Your family and friends are… what? Grimacing? Smiling? Both Smimacing? You aren’t sure.

The ceremony passes in a kind of blur, and you go through the all motions. Mostly, you think of the messages you’d sent to Bakugou. You’d felt so courageous when you finally – finally! - confessed your feelings to him, so hopeful that maybe instead of replying, you’d hear a knock at your door, and he’d sweep you off your feet and- then hours had passed without a word, and you’d been left wondering. Conflicted, and unsure.

As you wait for your fiance to finish his vows (that he wrote himself, but sound like he stole them from a Pinterest board), however, you have a mild epiphany. Did it really matter so much if Bakugou loved you back? Sure, it’d break your heart, but one day you’d heal from it. Besides, he wouldn’t want to settle for some nobody! Bakugou was loyal to his friends, and he wanted the best for them, and that was one of the things you loved most about him! Surely, you owed it to both him, and more importantly, yourself, to put an end to this madness!!

You steel yourself as it gets to That Part of the wedding. The officiant turns to you, and asks if you take this man to be your lawful wedded husband. You face your fiance, and open your mouth to say “Actually…. I DON’T” when-

The doors slam open, and who’s standing there in a matching pair of pyjamas, still holding his car keys? It’s Bakugou, and you only have to lock eyes with him for him to shout – in true romcom fashion – ‘I FUCKIN’ OBJECT’.

7/7 Everyone’s stunned, although the guests on your side of the venue look more thrilled than scandalised.

In truth, I wouldn’t normally peg Bakugou as the “Objecting at a wedding” type, but in this scenario – when the two of you have been pining for so long, when he knows you’d appreciate the spectacle, when he gets to show up that nobody who wasted your time for so long – I think maybe he’d make an exception. Maybe he wouldn’t make some long, protracted speech about how much he loves you, but he MIGHT run to the alter full tilt, and tell you that you’re making a mistake. I do think MAYBE he’d hold out his hand to you, a silent question in his eyes, all while your fiance sputters and rants.

Idk, maybe you say something to the effect of “Looks like he beat me to the punch – I object, too :)”, tell your ex-fiance you’re sorry, but you can’t do this. PERHAPS – after all of the years of wondering, and stressing about whether Bakugou would reject you – you’d just quietly take his hand. And maybe to two of you would scamper off down the aisle to the raucous applause of your friends and family, get into his hatchback or w/e, and drive off into the sunset, certain in the knowledge that – yes, there would be ramifications to running off together like this, but that whatever might come your way you’d face it together! MAYBE.

Idk, I just feel like if he was going to confess his feelings for you after you’d already been engaged, it might be in the form of kissing the back of your hand, pulling off your cheap, shitty engagement ring, throwing it out of the car window, and going for a long drive so you two can finally Talk.

God, this is horrible...

It's always like this when it comes to them, it's like their water and oil, fire and ice, the moon and sun. They're constantly bickering and fighting, always pulling each others' hair, and there's never a moment where they're not insulting the other. For some odd, reason, which you don't know, they just hate each other.

No matter how many times you've tried getting them to settle this drawn-out dispute, they never solve it. If anything, it makes it worse. It causes them to just argue more and turn to you as the judge, making you choose between the two.

Now, you're stuck in this shitty situation, having to choose between two of your friends. Lovesick!Friend has always been there for you, sticking by your sick through thick and thin, comforting you when you got dumped, and helping you study when you were struggling in math. Lovesick!Friend is a little awkward, but she means well. She can't help if she's a little anti-social, if anything, it's endearing to you.

While, on the other hand, Lovesick!Bimbo has been nothing but a sweetheart, always introducing you to new people, though you suspect they're her ex-hookups. She's always helping you with your make-up, picking outfits, and being a funny companion. Lovesick!Bimbo, though she's an airhead, has a heart of gold and she'll never pass an opportunity to comfort you. She's always hugging your arm, kissing you on the cheek, and providing that feminine comfort.

But now they're putting you in this situation, having to choose between the two. That's the hard thing, you can't. You really can't imagine your life without either one of them. They're both great friends to you and it'd be pretty depressing if you had a fallout with one of them. And the situation hasn't lightened up; it's gotten worse. It's starting to become too big of a problem, one that you can't brush under the rug.

It's escalated to where they're "breaking" into your apartment, and you use that term loosely. As the two aren't even sneaky about it! They both just waltz into your home like they own the place! And all you get in return is a, calm down, I just want to spend more time with you, y'know? I mean, with finals week and all... or a, Come on, babesss!! We're, like, so close! There's no point in trying to get away from me!!

Both trying to spend more time with you. Though, when you think about it, you're not too sure how they got your keys 'cause you sure as hell didn't give it to them...

But that's beside the point, it's getting really irritating for you. You'll be coming home from a tiring day of work, only for you to find LoveSick!Bimbo asleep on your bed or rummaging through your clothes, which you're not too sure on what she's looking for. Or you'll find LoveSick!Friend cooking dinner in your kitchen. Once you even walked into the two having a full-on fistfight in your living room!!

And these little incidents lead to moments like this: where you're pressed between the two, stuck in a drawn-out cuddle session.

LoveSick!Bimbo had just stopped by, wanting to drop off some cupcakes for your mama, who was stuck in the hospital after surgery. Such a sweet girl she is, doing such a kind thing for you, though her excitement was cut short after seeing you and LoveSick!Friend lying on the couch. The two of you were far too close for her liking. Baby!!! What are you doing, cuddling without meee! Why are you abandoning me like thiss-!

LoveSick!Bimbo then threw a hissy fit. She stomped her sparkly heels and pursed her pretty lips, you could even see tears swell in her eyes. She set the cupcakes on the counter and ran over to the two of you. She pushed past LoveSick!Friend and squeezed herself between the two of you. She wrapped her arms around your waist, tucking her face into your neck, and holding you against her chest like her life depended on it. Of course, LoveSick!Friend wasn't having it. She tried pulling the girl off of you but to no avail. God dammit, you prick, get off of her!! You're gonna kill her!

LoveSick!Bimbo just held on tighter. She pressed herself against you, not wanting to let go. Not even noticing how her tits were right in your face, causing your mind to go fuzzy and face to flush. Ephemer's and Brain's scenes where they get appointed as a Union Leader - a comparison (and some other stuff relating to that)

Hi I'm Psi and I've been rotating these scenes in my mind for so long I just need to put down some words about this. Idk how long this is going to be, but I hope you will enjoy this. (Also screw the 10 picture limit of tumblr.)

There is quite the difference between those two scenes and it reflects a lot about their relationship with Ava, how they treat the title as a Union Leader, and are just ... generally interesting to look at, now that we kinda know everything.

The first frame each scene.

We know all of them got appointed at this same hill (except Strelitzia and, well, Ventus). Yet right from the start - even though the positioning are the same between them, Brain is seen lying down on the hill as Ava talks to him, while Ephemer seems to have been called to the hill to meet Ava there. Ava might have joined Brain on the hill instead of the other way around.

Brain is seen with the Rule Book in his hands already. The conversion starts for us right in the middle - he already got that book, and Ava told him to become a Union Leader.

The scene with Ephemer also starts right in the middle for us. Yet he doesn't have the rule book yet, but also asks Ava the same question as Brain.

Let's continue with Ephemer's scene for now. He questions everything Ava tells him, can't quite understand this end of the world, how he can't wrap his head around this while Ava already tells him what he has to do. It is very overwhelming for him (understandable), but he tries to listen to Ava's talk.

Ava assures him he isn't alone in this, that they can work together.

Ephemer just takes it all in, without questioning this loud on screen. I'm certain his mind is running miles right now. A silent thinker.

Brain, however, reacts quite differently. While we don't see the conversation they had before, the talk about the end, the war, doesn't happen here (which I definitely get from a narration point, and assume happened as he got the Rule Book before this scene started).

Instead he questions the choice of him taking on such an important role, immediately asking whose idea this was. Ava tells him the truth, that it was the Master of Masters, and assures him he'll be fine. And again Brain isn't quite happy about the work he just got appointed to do, and questions her about the four others - Ava must have told him about how they will take over the roles of the foretellers, to lead the Unions, how they can work together etc.

While he doesn't get an answer to his question, Ava's answer is still enough for him to draw an answer for himself - looking right through everything, how they aren't supposed to meet up before the war to do something unexpected.

"Clever as always" says to me that Ava knew Brain before all this. They definitely have met before, Ava knows how Brain thinks, how he's like and what he's capable of. Her short answers of "you'll be fine" over and over imply to me that.

The two scenes now drift apart in terms of the topic, yet they still kind of follow the same path.

Ava asks Ephemer to prepare for the other world - the world she intends to send the Dandelions to - while she starts a conversation about fate and destiny about Brain.

Again, let's start with Ephemer's scene first. Ava has given Ephemer the Rule Book now, and while Ephemer is still hung up about everything Ava just told him, Ava tells him how this other world won't have the Dandelions remember the war. Ephemer counters with how he isn't sure if this is a good idea, how the past is what makes the future after all. Ava notes how she thought he might say that and wonders if he still thought the same if he was there to witness the end.

Ephemer doesn't answer and the scene ends.

Throughout the entire scene Ava stays serious, going through this calm and collected without showing much emotion. The only time she does crack a small smile is at the very end.

Ava, now having joined Brain's side on the ground, starts dropping think-pieces towards Brain about the future, about predetermined fate, and if you knew what would happen, would you be able to change it.

Brain always answers her curious questions with curious questions of his own, furthering the discussion with her. He brings up the Book of Prophecies and knows how it holds the future in text form, wonders if you were to change the future if the text were to change as well.

Ava's expressions during that scene stays smiling, she chuckles at some answers from Brain, ... it comes off as appreciation that Brain just gets her, understands what she is about and her thought process.

A wavelength they share. Ava trusts him and you can see it in that conversation alone.

It is interesting, because with Ephemer - as he states the past is what makes the future - she simply comes off as "don't think about that. Follow the rules set in stone". Ephemer tries to challenge the thought, but Ava shuts him down. Even that far that, when he later meets Brain for the first time and Brain asks about the rules, Ephemer remembers Ava's words and follows what he had been told to.

Sure, these two topics - between Ava and Ephemer, and Ava and Brain - are different, yet it is still a conversation only the two individually got. And I can't help but compare these two, because the intentions of these scenes are the same, yet so vastly different excecuted.

And to bring everything to a peak, Brain's scene continues with him getting the Book of Prophecies, together with the list of the names of the five new Union Leaders.

Again, Ava trusts Brain in this, how he uses it, what he's supposed to do with it. And he assures her that he understood her message loud and clear. The scene ends with Brain saying he won't open it if he can avoid it and Ava, again, assuring him that he will know best.

Ava was intrusted to give the Book of Prophecies to one of the new Union Leaders in secret, noted that no one else from the other four should ever get their hands on it. Now that we know it wasn't Brain who was supposed to get it, the look at this and some other scenes get quite ... interesting.

There are some leftover things I want to cover.

- Ava and Brain have a much more comfortable conversation than Ava and Ephemer. I conclude from that that they knew each other before all this, as I mentioned before. Ephemer states that Ava is easy to talk to, so maybe that is also a factor. I also conclude from this that she specifically chose Brain for the Book because she already knew him. If she knew him before or after she got the list with the names would really be interesting to know, but sadly we don't know that. (But could you imagine if she knew him before she got her role?)

- Maybe Ephemer just needed this serious talk. We do know him as his bright, laughing boy, able to make friends quickly. He has troubles making important serious decisions alone (Shift Pride for example). Brain on the other hand is the more serious one, and Ava was more smiley in his scene - he can make decisions on his own if he wants to, maybe coming from a background where he was alone pre keyblade war times. Hm, just wondering here how this might be relevant to Missing Link one day ...

- Which scene happens first? Ephemer's or Brain's? I can only speculate, but let's put some things in order. We see one other scene between Ephemer and Ava, and it is when they meet at the fountain on the day Ephemer first met Player. There the conversation starts with "oh your name is Ephemer, right?" as if they ... have maybe met once before. Ava would definitely know Ephemer more here already if they had the talk about the Union Leader thing already. It must have been later than this then, though not much all too later, because Ephemer vanishes shortly after, to carry out what Ava asked him to do.

- So, Brain's scene before or after this point? We don't have a clear indication. I want to bring in the lines during the Ephemer - Ava fountain scene "Hey, maybe talking about the Book will cheer you up!" "Not a chance." here, simply because I feel this is important to Ava's decision of giving Brain the Book. Ephemer is so curious about the Book of Prophecies, he doesn't hide it. There is another line I want to bring in now, from the KHUx Finale.

"Master Ava told me you've been wanting to read the Book for a long time." This very line could reference this very fountain scene, implying that Brain and Ava met again at some later point to let him know just about that. Which is interesting, because it means that Brain knew that Ephemer was a Union Leader even before the war, or maybe Ava told him in a way without mentioning he's a new leader - paraphrasing here - "there is a boy called Ephemer who wants to read the Book so badly". Either way, it makes me think Brain's scene happened before Ephemer's just because of this line.

- following up on my previous point, Brain knowing that Ephemer wants to read the Book so badly from the very beginning makes the keyblade graveyard scene of them meeting for the first time interesting to look at. Other theories aside here, Brain asking him if he's the leader and if they should follow the rules, knowing this one thing about Ephemer - challenging him like Ava did in his scene, but this time in reversed roles. Kind of to see where he stands.

- knowing all that, seeing their relationship flourish through the game is so ... good. From Brain questioning if he's the leader to downright trusting him by showing him the list of the names of the Union Leaders, being the first person Brain seeks out to talk about this issue they face. I will not go into details about that, I just want to conclude it with my final image.

The keyblade, the Book, it was meant for Ephemer all this time - implying that Ephemer was the one who was circled in red by the Master of Masters in the first place.

I could go into another deep dive here, about how this was meant to happen in the first place, how even if Ava wanted to challenge fate and destiny by switching around the owners, this timeline was written down in the first place like that - but maybe that's for another day.

So ..... yeah.

Two scenes, so different, yet so similar to the core. Ephemer, who took his role as a Union Leader serious right away. Brain, who calls him a leader right away, calling himself lazy and not fit for the job in the first place.

Yet in the end they worked together blindly, understood and trusted each other.

the type of person to be like cuddling with you in a morning and get all whiney when you try to get up and he's still half asleep, until you get back into bed or have him begrudgingly accept that you have plans and things to do and you have to be up etc etc

expanding on the previous point a little, i feel like he's not really the type to have many lie ins? idk i feel like being a space pirate captain is kind of a busy, "get up early" kind of ordeal especially if he and his crew have something planned

Don't pressure yourself to make Yuu grunge or hard-core for wider appeal. I think all twst writers put a little bit of themselves into their povs, so if you know punk the story will probably be a lot easier to write since that's you! (If you wanted them to be different than Deuce and Ace I'd vote trad goth. That style goes so fucking hard and so does their music bauhaus my beloved. Also i guess kind of fits with Ramshackle?) OK so to make a very long thing short, yes lolita did exist in the 1980s but it didn't really look like anything it does today. It was pretty much all handmade, and though the first brands were around we have no idea what their peices looked like since the fashion wasn't really widely worn or photographed until the 1990s. It didn't even have its name until the 90s. Lolita as it exists today is very much a 90s/early 2000s fashion which is honestly wild to me. As for ouji, it pretty much grew alongside Lolita so that would also be a no go.

Given Riddle's backstory I can't really see him as an 80s lolita. He doesn't seem like the sewing type to me... but there is this one brand that helped influence Lolita fashion called PINK HOUSE that was stupid popular in Japan in the 80s. I'll link you to this blogspot article which is both about the brand and the misconception in English speaking spaces about the term "natural kei" but I think it suits Riddle if you wanted to give him a lolita like vibe. The tl;dr of the article is that it PINK HOUSE and it's original designer Kaneko was a staple in 80s fashion in Japan, and is referred to as just PINK HOUSE or Kaneko fashion. As it lacks the community or aesthetic of kei fashions or lolita it is not considered a part of those groups... which does sort of fit Riddle in a way as his mother isolates him from both 💀

- He’s got a habit of breaking hearts & having multiple people wrapped around his finger at once. Because Jesse’s kind of genuinely incapable of being tender in a way thats meaningful with someone (aside from his kids & the guys), he’s really lacking in any true emotional intimacy

- He’s very VERY alone in that sense.

- His heart’s been broken in a very honest and true way so he’s kind of given up on finding that intimacy too. Its sad & sucks lol. But because of that struggle he has a much more genuine attraction to tenderness

He’s not stupid, just dumb. And he does dumb shit for the sake of fun & enjoyment. He needs someone who can keep up with him & either catch him when he falls or stop him from doing the dumb thing to begin with

- Being that kind of person isn’t easy, keeping up with T & being close enough to him to read him is hard. But when you’re close enough to do that? Well gosh, you probably already have him hooked

- T wont ever admit it, but he so so badly wants someone to care about him enough to tell him no. Its weird, because he hates it and Will usually just do what he wants, but theres a certain comfort he finds in knowing someone wants him safe and sound

- He’s simply not someone who believes in settling down anymore + he’s in a part of his life where a lot is changing and evolving. He wants someone to rely on, but he NEEDS room to grow and have spontaneity. He cant do commitment right now and when things start to feel too tense he flees from the relationship (romantic or not, he’s even flighty with his friends sometimes)

- So Z really flourishes with someone who can be there for him without “tying him down”. He wants freedom and he’s very attracted to people who offer the attention he wants from relationships while also being patient enough to let him explore. He needs someone who wont nag him about expressing his genuine feelings because honestly they aren’t always pretty but he’s not going to move forward without getting to express them.

- So to really win him over, someone needs to be able to listen to him even when he’s not verbally speaking. He needs his freedom but he needs a stable person to return to at the end of the day (starting as friends or not, its not easy to fill this role)

- Specific actions to win him over arent easy. But quality time based on things HE may want to do (but be too shy to always directly request) is good. Or just offering him quality time to unwind & relax with may help

what i'm curious about is what was up with the celestial regardless of how it got there—whether direct messenger or Planar Ally or something else. like, if resurrection spells aren't working and resurrection spells involve calling a soul through the planes, doesn't that suggest that interplanar magic is having trouble in general? i'm unfamiliar with dnd beyond CR and your meta, so i'm probably not understanding something; it just seemed a little odd to me

TBH your guess is as good as mine - this is all straight-up Matt Mercer Homebrew rules. The spells are from D&D, but I believe the ley line and planar stuff as it relates to mechanics is completely from Matt (though it's definitely pulling from real-world folklore about leylines as a source of magic).

I will note: according to Ressia Uvesic, the Scribewarden in Uthodurn, later this same day in Uthodurn, scrying and other divination were also not working reliably, but Abbadina was able to scry without issue. So here's a couple of theories:

It might be that if you're actually on a nexus, you're able to get through (this would also explain why short-range Sending worked when Team Wildemount was in Molaesmyr, and why they received very direct messages from the Dawnfather and Changebringer there as well). This explains why Hearthdell is doing fine, why Planar Ally works, and is consistent with the heightened magic. This also might imply that actually, resurrection would have worked in Molaesmyr, and had Orym attempted to use his sending stones, they might have worked when he was in Hearthdell proper.

It might be cross-planar in terms of source of the magic and so clerics are struggling but Abbadina is fine...but Uthodurn has wizards, so you'd think they could scry. Maybe that's the unreliable part? Doesn't explain Kiro here.

"Unreliable" often just means "more difficult than usual"; scry and teleport are both spells that are not always guaranteed as is, so it might just be that because Team Issylra gave specific items, scrying was fine for them, but had Abbadina tried to scry on someone she vaguely knew her chances of failure would be much higher than usual. Also, frankly, maybe the people in Uthodurn they were scrying on had died and they didn't want to deal with that. Which means that cross-planar magic on the whole isn't necessarily an issue (Kiro's thing is fine), just resurrection specifically. I'm not a huge fan of the theory that Vax is the world's only psychopomp, a word I've gotten to use twice today which is very fun for me, but like, idk maybe that's the resurrection issue.

Point being: Matt has room to handwave this while still making it logically consistent, because the actual rules as written don't dictate the specifics of how spells work in 5e. (If anyone with more old school D&D knowledge wants to weigh in on earlier editions, please feel free to do so though I'd prefer you did your own post with an @ and a link rather than reblogged this, just for the sake of not making a huge unwieldy reblog chain/making me see notes specifically responding to you).

finally getting around to these 💛 - honestly No Idea at this point. there are about 5-7 ppl who front super regularly. We Think. there might be more, its hard to tell. there are definitely More who likely front less often and are more like. internally-inclined? idk how to put that. but we havent actually taken the time to do any sort of Count. and i feel like it could fluctuate wildly over time (it has before). so Who Knows. mayb we should start that 📼 - literally none of the members of our system identify as like. Human. all of us have weird kin shit going on that is EXTREMELY prevalent for us in terms of identity/gender stuff, but which we pretty rarely Actually talk about. one of the things that complicates this, though, is that while there are Patterns that we have wrt what forms/kin things/etc each system member Tends to gravitate towards, none of those are set in stone and All of the 'usual' things span multiple 'species' or whatever you want to call them. so like. we have a lot of yknow. forms/gender/kin stuff that are Robots, Object Heads, Monsters, Aliens, Objects In General (especially living swords or machines), Furries, Plushes, Pooltoys, Balloon Dogs, Cryptids, Suits (think like. lethal company employees or HUNK from resident evil), etc. etc. etc. etc. and different system members might stray more towards some of those forms than others, but its honestly all over the place and is really confusing to keep track of. which is part of the reason we rarely talk about kin stuff at all (the other big reason being shame/embarrassment, but thats a different issue) but essentially it boils down to 1. figuring out who the fuck is even fronting 2. figuring out what form or kin or w/e that person is feeling like and both of those can switch multiple times even on a single day so the short answer i guess is: none of use ID as human In The Slightest, but as for What we are, its fucking complicated 24/7

🌱 - yes, but its been something thats been a lot fuzzier as of recent, and we generally feel less-inclined to try and mess with it these days (always feels like a waste of time, even though it can be helpful; it used to be) our headspace has Weird mechanics and is weirdly consistent. we've always been pretty naturally good at like. mapping/figuring out Physical Spaces and such, so i guess that makes sense, but it's been wild to describe it to other plural folks w/ headspaces and have them essentially go "no mine isnt like that at all, what the fuck" we have actually based a couple of different writing projects around it (Prismic Sanctum and Oubliette specifically, both are older projects not currently updating, but still worth a potential read) and continue to mess with it as a worldbuilding concept here and there if i had to boil it down: it's a massive collection of various areas that are all in a consistent layout, that could be mostly mapped out with cardinal directions. so like, if you travel North from Area A, you end up in Area B. you will Always end up there. same thing with traveling through doors, etc. some spaces are vague about distance (like the forest between the mass of highways hanging over a void and the big ashen wasteland; traveling through it has different, inconsistent travel times) but Directions are pretty much always set in stone, even then. physical space also doesnt always make sense. you may go to the 2nd floor of a 4-story apartment building, find a trapdoor in an apartment, go up into it, and end up in a castle that cant physically exist at the same time as the apartment building. but, that trapdoor will ALWAYS lead to that place, so locations are just about Always consistent the type of locations also vary wildly. often theyre either places that are possible in the real world but a bit Off (like an elementary school where gravity outside/on the playground is reversed so you can fall into the sky, or a mansion where the physical space is larger or smaller in comparison to you depending on what doors you walk through), or, theyre entirely surreal spaces that are completely impossible (like the aforementioned clump of many highways suspended over a black void that are lit by yellow streetlights, or the basement thats several miles wide with varying ceiling heights, or the motel where every room leads to some different, impossible space) it can be genuinely fun and interesting to """""Explore""" it, even though i know its just our brain generating all the weird spaces. its like one of those homemade TTRPG games that you play by yourself, where even though a Lot of it is coming from your own imagination, its still fun to mess around with

If we're talking a loop, it might have to be four-way unless the twins have a way to form a similar sort of soul bond with each other. To your point of most people not going over two familiars at max, having two full-fledged bonds might just be too overwhelming for most people because they are magical power ups, so for most people the only way to have two is to have another person there to make it a stable loop. Which I don't think many people would actually try, because it's not something a person can do lightly, change easily, or even find someone who is compatible with both them and the two pokemon involved. Since it does in a way link two human souls together, I think it would also require a lot of trust. But if Ingo's side was either broken or so faint it might as well not be there, Emmet's magic boosted by two familiars might be legit too dangerous to use for a while, particularly while he's not at his mental best.

A chain link with them both connected to just chandelure in the middle works too, it would just mean Emmet isn't being hit by as much of a blowback as Ingo or chandelure. He'd definitely still be a bit off balance for a while, but it's not to such a dangerous extent. Not sure which way works best for him narratively.

Either way, I think Irida was actually right to be scared that Ingo wouldn't be able to control his magic without his memories. His muscle/magical memory wouldn't account for not having a familiar there, because he's had one for so long. Even if he did have his memory it'd likely be a bit trial and error, it's just that he'd have his schooling to fall back on to do so safely. Without any of that, he could legitimately be a danger to himself and others, because even by himself he is still very powerful. This is probably an instance of Ingo even agreeing that he's safer off sealed, at least until he's bound to Sneasler.

Though speaking of which, Sneasler could pose something of a problem in the long-term, even if she's great for Ingo in the short-term. Because if he ever reunites with Emmet and chandelure, he'd need to either break his bond with her (not sure how great that'd turn out for him, to keep doing that), or loop her into the mix. Since I'm assuming that at least eventually he'd want to recouple with his og familiar and brother. And also assuming that he'd even be able to leave while still bonded to her, since I'm not sure how wardens and their pokemon would work here, if they're soul bound together and breaking that bond is traumatic. Is there something about their species that insulates them from the trauma of bond breaking, meaning they could theoretically have any number of partners should something happen to make their warden unfit for the job, or is this the kind of job where the warden and pokemon have to begin and end at the same time as each other

hmmmm see while i do love the angst of ingo being legit unable to control his magic, i ALSO love the angst of ingo really being a perfectly competent mage but nobody believes or trusts him on that. so i'm torn here, on how unstable he should actually be with or without a familair.

regardless tho... re: last paragraph, i wonder if maybe it's not so much that breaking a soulbond is inherently traumatic, but rather that you just need to do it very carefully and in both of the already-mentioned situations, with ingo and cyllene, uh. nobody was being especially careful. i'm not exactly sure what how those respective situations did play out, but i think cyllene's was sort of a back alley or home job where the main point was "get it done fast before anyone stops you" which is why she in particular has all that residual scarring. it might have fucked her up physically for a while, idk. but breaking the bond and freeing "her" dragon was the first step towards getting out of the draconids, so there wasn't a lot of time to hang around and rest up, which also didn't help.

and then in ingo's case... now we're talking about "wtf happened to ingo" again. which i still do not know. was it intentional? was he a target? or was he collateral, or an accident? i feel like there are possibly reasons for someone to target an accomplished light mage but like, the plot here is still so nebulous man. maybe this has more to do with his and emmet's jobs, this was a measure taken to like, destabilize whatever system they're a part of or something. or maybe, since they specifically didn't kill him and instead did whatever the hell this was, it was actually about taking something from him (something to do with his memories, maybe?) and he just got thrown out somewhere when they were done with him.

and then on emmet's side... yeah regardless of the exact soul link makeup emmet's not having a fun time here lmao. especially if he and ingo were usually working together, since they have these complementary aspects of dexter/sinister light magic, and so now emmet's doing the job of two people with half the capabilities, or less. it's rough going!

Ooo Klaus!

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

I would say that I overall like Klaus. As in, I don't have any 'big' opinions or headcanons about Klaus, but I do like him. He's the big brother figure to a lot of the Golden Dawns, and a bit (quite a lot, actually) of a mom friend (of course I use this term in a gender neutral manner). And it's nice to see that there is someone in the GD who does care about the people around them, in the manner that Klaus does, but also he extends that care to Yuno. Which means that Klaus isn't the typical incapable-to-change noble. He's a good person. He also has a lot of qualities I admire. He's responsible, punctual, studious, caring, so, I don't see why anyone would dislike him. As in, sure, he might not be the favourite character to a lot of people, which is fair, but there's a journey to travel from "Idk, he's cool, I guess, he's there" to "I really don't like him". But of course this is just my opinion.

11. Would you date this character?

Hmm... He seems to fuss a lot. Sure, it comes from a place of caring, but I don't think I, realistically, could be in a relationship with someone who micromanages and fusses about little things.

He does have a lot of characteristics that would make him a good partner; he's caring, compassionate, responsible, brave. But there's just something about him that doesn't make me see him as someone I'd, personally, date. I could be good friends with him though.

12. What’s a headcanon you have for this character?

My headcanon for him is that he wants to have a big family. I'm not sure if it's a "special" headcanon in any way, but I can see him as a real family man. And... as cringe as it might be, I really can see him in shorts and a cap, wearing a fanny pack while taking his kids to a festival. His backpack would be filled with water bottles, first aid kits, maybe a map of the city (it doesn't matter if he has lived there all his life, because he might need it while finding the kids), and some candy bars. He just wants to make sure that his near and dear are, and will be, all okay.

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

He seemed uptight? I suppose. Adamant. Maybe a little bit too much so. I don't think I had a lot of thoughts about him, but that can also be because I didn't see the anime, or read the manga, intently, but was more so a by-stander to watching the anime. So, I saw him here and there, but when I stated actually watching the show myself, he was already displaying worry in a much more concrete manner, and made me go "aww, he cares~". I do think much more fondly of him nowadays than I did in the beginning, and am happy to have him around. Honestly, I do like him. I like the GD trio that we have.

I do! I always reply at least once. I'm not the best at coming up with interesting things to say, but I'm always so grateful for comments. Just hearing that someone read through a story that I wrote and felt something from my words means a lot.

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Maybe wishes are hopes we want other people to listen to. I've written a couple fics with intentionally sad endings, and I've always found them so much easier than happy endings.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The White Umbrella has a really nice ending! It's my ghost story for Guardian if anyone still remembers it :D Also this is somehow the only fic of mine that has been read by a lot of people and still doesn't have any subscriptions haha. Not that subscriptions are a sign of anything really, because I randomly subscribe/forget to unsubscribe after reading fics too. But I think this one really had a good ending.

Nope. I've been in really nice fandoms so far though :)

Ahh no, I'm just not very interested somehow. I'm not sure I'd be able to anyway

I haven't written one before! I've done some where the premise is based off a different source material though.

Yeah, @bluewindfall and I wrote a collab a while back...and we haven't finished it. I think I might be a bad writing partner though. The stars have to align for me to be able to write, and it's like not conducive to communicating with my partner. I, for some reason, cannot write knowing most of the plot beforehand, and that makes it really hard for us to plan anything.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Hmmmm this is a hard question. Maybe Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan? But it might also be Wang Lu and Hai Yunfan. And lately the MLC OT3 is all I think about. It's hard to choose one.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

*falls on the ground and coughs blood* ughh there's a few Guardian ones that I still think about, but I think it would be hard since it was a while ago, and what I care about as a writer is a little different now. Also all of my Lingjianshan WIPs ahhhhh it's hard to tell since I've only posted a really short fic, but I've written over 10 different versions of this one WIP.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Ooh so I get told now and then that my writing has nice vibes ✨ haha, but yeah a lot of people have said that my writing has a nice atmosphere or like a melancholy feel to it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I struggle with writing things that are concrete, and I have trouble with scenes that are very present and involved, like fight scenes.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I don't really have any strong feelings on this. I usually try not to go overboard with honorifics or terms that are not obvious, like I never use footnotes or anything to tell people definitions because I think it's a little less accessible. I do use honorifics sometimes, but I try to keep those to ones that are well known (idk like shifu) or ones that you can infer from the rest of the sentence. It's kind of hard sometimes though, especially when your fandom is really tiny and you can't translate something ('you' as in me because I can't translate anything)

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Guardian :) I think Guardian will always be special to me.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Ahh right now it's probably my post-canon MLC fic: far from the shore since it hasn't been that long since I finished it. It's embarrassing to admit, but I'm still at that stage where I refresh it daily. But I'm mostly just happy with it because it feels like something that only I could have written.

i try to get to every single one, but i still don't know what the protocol is for long fics when a reader leaves a comment on every single chapter. i try to just reply to the last one to avoid spamming them, but generally i love receiving comments so i usually get back to all of them!

6) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

no angsty endings, only angsty beginnings and middles

7) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

...all of them? i think? my fics are pretty formulaic, at this point, so any conflict gets resolved by the end. i'd say my favorite ending is the one i wrote in Therein Lies the Heart, mostly because it's set in a time where orihime was still recovering from everything she went through in hueco mundo and figuring out how she wants to grow next as an individual, so i like how it ends with a hopeful note that she's made peace with whatever has happened and is ready to take on whatever is coming next! i think it sits neatly between pre-timeskip and post-timeskip in canon bleach, but that's just me!

8) Do you get hate on fics?

9) Do you write smut?

not often. they're hard to write!

10) Do you write crossovers?

i think crossovers are very interesting but they're hard to execute in a way that incorporates the themes and elements of both stories! i joke around a lot about my favorite characters from bleach meeting my favorite characters from kuroko no basket and i love to toy around with unconventional team-ups like kakashi and orihime being pen-pals or ichigo and kuroko being classmates in college (since they're interested in the same major) but i don't think i'd actually write any, it's just me playing around with my dolls and then putting them back in the box! i don't read many either, but the one fic i did read (which was a knb/free crossover i think) was very good, even if i haven't actually watched free! crossovers require a special talent and while i'm curious about how i'd approach one, idk if i actually will😅

not a good plot person, i think. most of my fics are born out of short-term ideas or concepts or stories where nothing really happens and characters just feel things. i am also a lazy proof-reader so most of my edits/additions/corrections happen after i post something. i'm trying to work on that!

i don't think i've ever put in a whole dialogue in another language, but there are some words and honorifics that you really can't capture accurately in english, so i pepper those in. they're pretty infrequent, though. i try to stick to what i know and work with it!

....supernatural, but i never posted it anywhere 💀 the first fics i posted were all in the batman fandom

20) Favorite fic you've ever written?

You Can Show Me Your Heart (ChadHime) - this fic had been in my head for two whole years but i had never attempted writing it because i could never figure out how to start. once i finished it though, i ended up loving it a lot! i also love circuit which is my first aokagakuro fic!

sooooo, i know i said i wasn't going to post anything personal, at least in regards to my dating life, on here but lo and behold! i'm a liar, but the person who found out about this account might never go onto my blog again (if you're here for some reason then hi? idk why you'd come back here but okay. i hope you're okay. and if you're not, i hope you will be okay. and also, this is NOT about the long distant guy that maybe one or two of you are familiar with). so, here goes: we broke off whatever it was that was going on. i don't like them back that way, and i don't see myself liking them back that way in the foreseeable future.

so we broke it off on good terms.

we're not going to talk anymore, and it definitely will take time getting used to since we did text back and forth everyday for the past two months, up until today. it will take time to get used to not seeing their name on my phone constantly, or waking up to their messages, but it'll eventually go back to how it used to be, when we never spoke before.

i admittedly do feel a little empty as of right now, which is a me issue entirely. maybe i'm dealing with the sadness of losing a connection i've made with someone? maybe i don't deserve to feel this sadness. i don't know. there was definitely a bit of a connection there, though ephemeral, even if it wasn't a romantic one. i think (i know) i'll be okay, and i really, really hope they'll be okay, too (because rejection doesn't feel good. it's never an easy pill to swallow, knowing you're not the one for that someone. it doesn't feel good to reject someone, either).

i think it'll be good for the both of us in the long run.

i'm still processing this whole thing, but i think it'll be okay soon. :) and i hope they find someone who will like them back, just as much, and if not, more, because they're someone who truly deserves that.

goodbyes aren't easy, and they hurt even when it comes to short-term bonds that were formed. that's all i can say.

(also that whole unmatch thing rant in which i've deleted by now is because i got my feelings hurt for like a day, and then i got over it really quick lmfao. i was talking to some other guy i matched with, and we vibed for a few days, and then he unmatched while we were setting up the date and that hurt translated into frustration and anger and a bruised ego, but i'm okay now, and to whoever said it was a bad break up or something - it wasn't lmao, i was just being a little wuss and had to vent. but i will die on the hill on how you're an asshole if you unmatch without any explanation, especially when you're in the middle of setting up a date. you're just bad at communication and it really, really shows. please work on that if that's what you do to other people, because it's never fun being on the receiving end of being basically ghosted.)

i will probably post more of my love life (read: online hoe life) again to the one person who bothers reading this shit, simply because nothing's stopping me, and i ALSO am NEVER going to be so dumb to accidentally give too many hints and reveal my tumblr like that to someone ever again lmfaooo. my mask stays ON, bitches!!

this was a rollercoaster and a very undelightful mess, i'm tired, i have to wake up at 5:30 am tomorrow for work, two of my brackets came fucking loose so i have to go to the ortho on monday to get that fixed, and i lowkey wanna die because of that, goodBYEEE.

My pleasure 💪 Let me tell you about the "letters" I occasionally write to myself because it's honestly funny and a while journey

Entry 1, no date: It all started... In late 2019 maybe? It began with just me talking about the people I liked 😭😭 Very painful to read. Why did I type like that.

Entry 2, no date: Short letters directed to them but I'd never show them (think lara jean). Also painful to read, why did I not understand grammar.

Entry 3, March 2020: Another letter to one person, basically me "coming to terms with the fact they'd never like me back and maybe we can be friends instead." Also very. Very painful.

Entry 4, the day after: I WAS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING AND HONESTLY IT'S BOTH PAINFUL BUT HILARIOUS TO READ. I was "coming to terms with the fact that they'd never like me back and they should be happy with someone else" with a dash of self-deprecation. Basically also "cutting ties." Again, a painful but funny read

Entry 5, April 2020: Me liking them again and admitting it and just letting it be. So far this has been a very dramatic teleserye

Entry 6, August 2020: Me seeing that past me was stupid and learning about loving fictional characters 😍 This me was honestly harsh to the me's before, but. Deserved. Then again, she may have crossed a line

Entry 7, March 2021: I realized how stupid everything was, from March 2020 to August 2020. I said, and I quote, "All I can say is, why? They look crusty. And you're kinda dramatic. Though all your words would make for a very good fanfic. I might use them in the future. That's all I'll thank you for." Then I talk about Tsumugi Tsukioka and Albedo OSNDKCKNDKSNF and just "make peace with the previous me's"

Entry 8, August 2021: Just added two more characters who I will not mention bc I don't really like them as much anymore? And I was wondering why I liked them in the first place (I still wanna know why)

Entry 9, December 2021: Remember typhoon odette? Yeah, it was during that time. I'm pretty sure I was typing on the way home in our car. There's a lot of stuff here so the basic summary is judging past me, adding enstars characters (most of whom I don't like as much anymore too), apparently Simeon came home twice?? Idk what card tho, talking about the games I played, Alexa play jealousy jealousy by Olivia Rodrigo, begging for a character to come home, learning I won't have internet for 80% of the time (I was suffering so bad, it's worse I really wanted a card from an on-going event)

Entry 10, January 2022: Most of the bad stuff that happened bc of the typhoon was over! I didn't manage to get that card that I wanted (I did in the future tho) but I managed to get the rest of the cards in the next event 💪‼️‼️ Hence the start of me loving Eden (enstars) (Don't ask how I did it, I'm not entirely sure either. But there were many sleep deprived days with non-stop grinding). I end up talking about the characters I love again (delulu moments)

Entry 11, March 2022: Yeah, fun fact, by this point our wifi hadn't been working for 4 months. And I finally discovered I apparently like Azul Ashengrotto a Whole Ton!! Yay!! (One line here is definitely delusional, idk what I saw back then) I also ramble about my lovely mutuals from that time, some of whom are still my mutuals today! (Shoutout to the homies, love y'all <3) Hmm there's some talk here about some stuff I'd like to leave in the past. But! As it says, on a happier note, I also talked about some ocs and ships <3

Entry 12, March 2023: Updates on my favorite characters, more rambles about my lovely mutuals, and back to being delulu

Aaand that's it! I have surprisingly fewer entries than I thought? Anyway, that's a little silly summed up version of how my brain chemistry changed from 2019 to 2023! Now that I'm remembering it, I might update it soon
