the traveller, the honorary knight, the swordfish II captain, the first sage of buer: just a few of the multitude of titles aether has earned from the many battles he's fought for teyvat. he's always fighting for people, protecting people, blindly jumping head-first into danger; he needs someone to protect him for a change, and that someone is you.

he always feels safe with you, and the way you stand behind him when he's chatting with friends or purchasing items from vendors makes him feel untouchable; evident by the way he practically melts under your touch.

one of the first things people tend to notice about you is your height, and although it doesn't really bother you, aether thinks it's ignorant and unfair. don't get him wrong, he loves your height, but there's so much more to you than that. he wishes people would notice your style, or your personality, maybe even your smile, anything. as long as nobody tries to steal you from him, he doesn't mind.

he'll often find himself being the little spoon while cuddling, and honestly, it's the thing he most looks forward to after a long day of completing commissions and collecting resources.

the bard struggles to understand how people could possibly be afraid of you. of course, he knows how strong you are, and is aware of the lengths you'd go to in order to protect him, but nothing about your personality was something to be scared of.

the more he got to know you, the quicker he came to the realisation that you're really just a big softie - a gentle giant, if you will.

your impressive stature also means that you can carry him around. venti loves nothing more than being in your arms, face nuzzled into your chest as you take him to bed after a long day, or resting his head on your shoulder and forcing you to lift him up when he 'falls asleep''.

the members of the arataki gang were shocked when they first met you, genta mistaking you for itto when he caught sight of your silhouette. nonetheless, they have all grown to be quite fond of you, and often leave small gifts on your doorstep which never fail to bring a smile to your face.

at first, alhaitham was slightly embarrassed that you were taller than him, not because of your appearance, but because of how he'd been relentlessly teasing his roommate for his height while having a partner who stands at an impressive 6'5"...

nevertheless, the scribe truly admires everything about you, and will often just stare. even though he wants nothing more than to have you in his arms, he's more than happy to admire you from afar, to watch you go about your day or make idle chit-chat with the local vendors so that he can just take you in; "archons, they're beautiful".

even though he stands shorter than you, he is extremely protective over you; intertwining his fingers with yours whenever he has the chance, and staring down anyone who 'looks at you wrong'. you often tease him for this, poking fun at his pout before kissing it away with a smile, only for it to return as you pinch his rosy cheeks.

you and your husband, diluc, stand at a similar height, him just slightly taller than you at 6'1". people often stare when you walk into a room hand-in-hand, but the darknight hero couldn't be more proud.

he never misses the chance to show you off, introducing you to everyone he knows while making sure to subtly flash the wedding ring he oh so gently slides onto your finger every morning. however, as soon as someone dares to make a rude remark about you, your husband has no problem stepping in front of you and handling the situation himself. yes, you're capable of looking out for yourself, but the redhead always feels the need to protect the ones he loves most.

the two of you are a package deal, and are rarely seen apart from each other unless absolutely necessary. diluc can't stand being away from you, and often finds his mind flooded with thoughts of you when he should be focused on the financial papers spread out on the desk before him.

being the taller ragnvindr, diluc often takes it upon himself to hand you items from higher up shelves, knowing full well you can reach them just fine by yourself. "given my stature, wouldn't it be rude not to hand my partner the things they couldn't possibly reach?", he always asks, pressing a loving kiss on your forehead and handing you whatever you were reaching for. such a tease...

A few tips for new Tumblr users wanting to write here

Yo if you're here from Reddit or Twitter or some other site and just wanted to give this a shot you may have seen some blogs that are dedicated to writing headcanons or short fics or even original works for their own OCs and you may be thinking "hey I wanna give that a shot! I like to write!" then I have some tips to make it easier on you and people who see your content.

1. First off, if you're writing a pretty long piece the you should probably put it under a read more, it'll look like this on mobile

and this on desktop

or you can write :readmore: on a line by itself and press enter.

2. Now if you're gonna write for a whole bunch of different fandoms and you wanna make a master list then I suggest making an actual list with the fandoms you write for and then making more lists with the actual content as a you go along because you can only have 100 links in one post (I know that sounds like a lot but as someone who has around 300 Transformers things written trust me you fill up a post quicker than you expect, especially if you take requests from other people). The way I typically do it is like this

The first pic is the MASTER master list that lists everything I write for and when they're underlined like that it means they're links. The second pic is after clicking the G1 link, it's a separate post that has the actual fics and headcanon links. Note the 6/100 in the tags, this is how I keep up with how many things I've added. You can of course just use the numbers options from here

or just number them manually from your keyboard like I'm doing with this post. Adding links has no barring on what else you add to the post so you can add yourself some fancy header or divider pics if you want.

3. Adding links! Links can look like this https://www.tumblr.com/wingwaver/721887224846778368/test-post-for-reasons?source=share or like this https://wingwaver.tumblr.com/post/721887224846778368/test-post-for-reasons depending on whether you're linking from mobile or desktop/browser Just highlight the text you wanna add a link to and a the little chain will move to the end, click it and paste your url you want to link to and press add link, then press post/save draft/save (whatever the blue button says)

Now you've successfully linked a post to another post!

4. Tagging! To get your fics and headcanons seen to build an audience you usually wanna tag the stuff correctly. If you're posting a fic about Miles Edgeworth and Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney then you'll tag it with #Ace Attorney, #Miles Edgeworth, and #Phoenix Wright in the tags area. But it's also a good idea to mention if it's a ship or general fic in the tags too. If so then putting ship names and #Miles Edgeworth x Phoenix Wright and #Miles Edgeworth/Phoenix Wright in the tags will help everyone know this is a ship fic. Tagging with characters or fandoms that aren't apart of the fic just clogs the tags for people looking for content of said characters and fandoms so it's very looked down on here and will likely get some of your stuff reported for spam so only use the relevant tags. Also tagging for triggers can be tricky here because of how fucky tumblr is but please don't tag censor tags. Tagging things like #a**** or #a*use or even #abu$e doesn't work here because people who have #abuse blacklisted will be able to see this content because it wasn't tagged properly. Also if you're writing for OCs or reader inserts it's common courtesy to tag those appropriately too. Someone looking for a reader insert may not want to read an OC and vice versa. Also many people filter those out so try to add tags like #x reader, #*fandom name* x reader, and #*character name* x reader for easier filtering. Also people cruise those tags too so it'll help people who fo want to read that content find your stuff!

An averagely built guy who somehow managed to join the military force of his fortress city without a birth certificate, ID, and with dyed hair. Nobody knows where he came from, nobody knows why he is here but there he is. No magic or superhuman abilities or prodigal skills but my god does he make great goo bowls with greater personalities (nobody wants the goo bowls and he does not know why). That one friend that keeps trying to alleviate awkward situations with jokes and random laughter.

Ok here’s my two cents that no one asked for on the current (sort of?) debate going on in the Creepypasta fandom on here rn.

For starters, I grew up with Creepypasta. I also grew up mentally ill. I am also autistic. So I know my way around good and bad mental health rep at this point. And to be honest? A lot of the original stories DID suck balls at representation or just horror writing in general.

However, nowadays I see other people on here, often mentally ill or any other social outcast, taking these characters and reshaping them as their own to fit their own feelings and experiences, and I don’t think anyone has the authority to criticize things like that. Cringe culture is supposed to be dead anyways, nevermind the fact it’s inherently ableist at its core.

We also need to take into account kids still exist in the fandom. Pre teens who got tired of shit like scooby doo and wanted something more “mature” or “edgy” to get into without fully going off the deep end into full blown horror movies. At least that’s how it was for me. Not everyone, especially someone who’s younger, is gonna be comfortable with the grit and gore a lot of Creepypasta “purists” are pushing for these days, and that’s okay! When a fandom gets popular it’s always inevitable and unavoidable to have the popular characters get two dimensionalized.

There’s also the whole mascot horror thing that I don’t wanna get into, but I’m 90% sure that also plays a part in the old favorites like Jeff and slenderman being brought up again. They were and still are recognizable characters. Recognizable characters aren’t a bad thing. Making horror more approachable for younger audiences isn’t a bad thing. People having their own interpretations based out of their own experiences isn’t a bad thing.

Some of us grew up and wanted the more edgy and reality based content, and that’s also not a bad thing! But neither side should be dictating or policing how the other enjoys content in this fandom. If you personally don’t like the way something is written, characterized, depicted, or drawn, no one’s forcing you to look at it. No one’s claiming it as canon. No one’s asking for you to accept it as the end all be all.

At the end of the day this fandom was built on OCs and personal depictions of stuff. I can’t name a single character or story in this community that was created by some outside party like a movie or TV studio FIRST (because I know some got so popular they breached the fandom and got their own shows/movies/comics/etc). Everything here was created by someone who wanted an outlet for their creativity, or their pain, or their coping, or whatever else.

Realism and dark headcanons aren’t bad, and neither are any of the headcanons out there who just wanna make a goofy found family of social rejects as a form of escapism.

A 13 year old drawing a fictional layout of a fictional mansion where these fictional characters live isn’t going to suddenly invalidate the horror, I promise, it’s not that deep and it never was.

A 22 year old making a dark comic on the realistic origins of Jeff who is a fictional character in a fictional world isn’t going to suddenly invalidate the more softhearted side of the fandom.

Sure, there can still be a split if people are so adamant about that, but as someone who personally enjoys both the brutal horror side and the “haha Jeff is 15 and gay” sides equally, y’all need to at least learn to be civil to anyone who has a different headcanon than you. And if that seems like too much still, the block button exists for a reason.

TL:DR this fandom is based entirely off OCs and headcanons and people can do whatever the fuck they want because none of it is real and horror comes in many shapes and sizes and intensities and no one should be bashing anyone on their headcanons or views or rewrites or whatever else.

Horror, like any genre, has NO AGE LIMIT. And by that I mean, if someone younger wants to delve into scary stuff, they should be allowed to do so without criticism. I personally grew up on “child friendly” horror media like Scooby-Doo, and the older I got the more horror I wanted to experience.

There’s no right or wrong way to “understand” horror, and I frankly think it’s ignorant and stupid to say if you don’t fully “understand” something, then you shouldn’t be involved in it at all. Horror isn’t always about gore and unspeakable violence and the eldritch entity that wants everyone’s skin inside out. That’s why horror has sub genres for fucks sake. Gut wrenching brutality against innocent people isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay!

However, bashing anyone’s tamer headcanons, or calling anything anyone interprets differently than you “stupid”, that’s not okay. God, I feel like an exhausted parent giving this lecture to fellow adults, but this really needs to be said and stressed.

I am an adult. I like when stuff in the fandom takes a dark turn. But for nostalgia’s sake, I also love the fanon so much, because that’s what I was exposed to.

And for fucks sake if it comes down to picking sides, I would rather stick with the part of this fandom that gives zero shits how you see a character as long as you’re having fun.

You can have your serial killer 30 year old Jeff and your canon-accurate-to-that-one-image eyeless Jack, but don’t shit on other people if they don’t want the same thing. Your interpretation isn’t canon, and neither is anyone else’s for that matter.

Realistic, dark, gritty Creepypasta isn’t a new concept, and neither is “adult” Creepypasta. And by the way, Creepypasta was never stated to be for adults. That’s like saying kids and only kids can eat trix cereal. It sounds that stupid on paper.

Let people interpret things the way they wanna interpret. No one is infringing on YOUR character ideas. Creepypasta has no age limit, nor a set way the horror has to be presented. Those who do continue to claim that just sound like pretentious assholes.

Very small side note, I personally think it’s inappropriate and rude to keep using Toby as a “bad example” of mental health rep when the creator has stated multiple times the character is old, not researched, and not even in the fandom anymore. Leave the poor guy alone.

About c!wilbur and c!tntduo.

I wanted to state my views and my personal opinion on the cwil character and also ctntduo as a whole. It is completely fine if you don't agree with these.

With the wilbur situation going on I understand why people would not want to think about tntduo or the character anymore because anything associated with him might make people think of everything that's happening and has already happened. And I understand, it's a gross feeling. But I think most of tntblr can agree that, this feeling is eventually going to gradually pass. The harm done by ccWilbur will never go away, but the pain fans (and not only) feel will fade with time.

With this, I do believe that cwilbur can be separated from the creator. They are different people. It is not the characters fault for what he did. The cc can control the c, but the c can't control the cc. I don't find it incredibly right to hate on the character for something the creator did. And since dsmp ended, the creators have basically abandoned the characters and left them into our hands, the community remaining. That somewhat makes them our ocs, and we can choose to edit and remove whatever part of cwil that feels too similar to the actual person. I do believe people can still like cwilbur and enjoy ctntduo, even if it will take time. I get why this right now might feel wrong or gross to think about, and that's completely fair. But I do wish and believe that that might change in the future.

I was going to start posting ctntduo content on here, but because of this, I'll wait a few weeks. Maybe even a month. It doesn't feel right to post stuff like that right now. I'll wait until people affected and fans alike hopefully feel better from this whole situation. I encourage people who still want to keep cwil or ctntduo to do the same.

It is completely reasonable to drop the character and ctntduo as a whole because of this situation, some people will never be able to look at anything he's made or he's part of the same again because of what he's done. I do hope that people who loved the cc and still love his character don't blame themselves for supporting what he did, we would have never known. He played his cards so well that nobody even thought to bat an eye. And that's what is severely disturbing about this situation to me. Because this once again proves that you can't trust ANYONE, especially not content creators. You do not know what goes on behind the scenes, you do not know what goes on inside their minds. You only see what they want you to see.

ALL my support goes to Shelby and I am by absolutely NO MEANS on Wilburs side and will never be. Support victims.

The minute you walked into that cabin, with what held about twenty or more girls was the day you would end it all.

Their eyes boring into yours as if you were a talking dog that just entered the room, as if there were a million things wrong with you even though you always told yourself there wasn’t.

But stuff like this━━it always got to you.

You couldn’t even meet any of their eyes anymore, not even daring to look just to see━━maybe, just maybe━━that one would be welcoming and have a smile on their face.

You would’ve never known. Your head lowers and your eyes stay glued to the wooden and cracked floorboards as snickers and whispers are too loud for this small room, as if they’re slowly consuming you and filling your ears and every thing in your bo━━

“This is (Y/N), everyone. I trust you will be nice to her.” The kitty hawk lady nodded to the girls giving them stern glances, having heard the snickers but doing nothing about it.

Thank you kitty hawk.

Slowly, you manage to look up to find an empty bunk at the back. But it was as if your legs weren’t able to move━━like you suddenly forgot how to walk, or as if one minuscule move would send the whole room into shits and giggles.

Maybe it was even worse that it was dead silent from the minute you started walking to that bunk, which felt like forever in only the span of ten seconds. You could hear the floorboards creak as you took slow steps forward, and it was just easier to hear your own thoughts overflowing and making your head pound.

You somehow remembered how to climb a stupid bunk and plopped yourself on it, wanting to stay small while realizing that thankfully, some girls went back to doing their own thing like making threaded bracelets or braiding each other's hair━━ y’know, summer camp stuff.

Also unfortunately that others were still staring.

Huffing, you picked at your fingers, remembering how your friends were probably expecting you to be on that plane━━and now, you were even farther from them then you were before, and the farthest once they flew to South America.

Realizing the tears that pricked your eyes, you stupidly wiped them away, ashamed to be emotional at a time like this. Miracles couldn’t happen, and this━━this was hell.

You weren’t able to sleep, also scared to turn for what you think is the fifteenth time for the night. You were scared the girls were going to think how pathetic you were and all whisper about you again━━even though a part of you knew they were all sound asleep. 

The faint snoring really told her that.

It wasn’t until a door opened━━shit. It must be a camp counsellor, checking to see if everyone was asleep!

This isn’t jail, (Y/N)!

You stayed as still as you possibly could because of course you had to be faced the way the door was. You didn’t even dare to squint to make sure because your heart was pounding. Everyone━━especially the workers━━who seemed super intimidating. You didn’t want to bring yourself upon another weird situation, or have any human interactions at all for the day. 

Screw that, you didn’t want any for the rest of your life.

Suddenly, you were getting confused if you were lucid dreaming, because a familiar voice is filling your ears and going straight to your heart as it leaped.

Like it always did.

“━━I’m just lookin’ for someone━━I’m lookin’ for, shit━━“

You knew that voice.

Opening your eyes from where you lay, there was JJ Maybank in all his glory, looking frantically around the room as girls slowly started waking up upon the unannounced teenager.

Holy━━miracles were true.

You didn’t care as you practically jumped from your bunk. “JJ!”

Your legs knew exactly what to do, as if you’d been in this exact situation before. Everyone’s eyes on you and JJ didn’t matter━━nothing fucking mattered but JJ. 

He was here. 

He came for you.

It’s as if you’re swirling as your stomach bubbles with that familiar feeling of giddiness in JJ’s usual presence once your arms lock around his neck, causing you to go on your tippy toes before he lifts you off the ground and spins you around. 

Nothing, if JJ was the world, he was it. You’d never felt safer than a place like this, because he had it all.

The happiness slowly settles down after the adrenaline from the excitement of the situation dies down, you realize how close you are to him.

Your best friend.

You had never been one to have close intimacy with others, and even though you were friends━━lately, it was if if you guys were stand off ish. You didn’t know if you needed some time, or if you were just denying your feelings because you absolutely hated the way he would make you get all stuttery and sweaty.

This was one of those times.

Your eyes are roaming everywhere but his as your heart is beating a million times per minute you can hear it in your ears.

Maybe JJ hears it too because he can’t suppress a chuckle. “Don’t go all shy on me again━━we’re havin’ a moment.” His whisper is husky and close to your ear, sending shivers down your spine while he runs his hand once up your back.

You were only getting closer and closer.

Your face must be on fire━━screw that, everything was━━because once he cups your face with his strong hand, the cold is shocking as you concentrate on his eyes. 

Closer…

His lips latch onto yours, sweetness filling your senses. Because you knew, this was where you wanted to be. You had been in his world but this━━this was heaven.

You were floating as he slowly backed away, not realizing you were practically melting against his strong hold to keep your body from literally collapsing.

Holy.

Your face goes hot again the minute screaming and cheers burst through the cabin, probably waking up every counsellor in a two mile radius. Hell━━maybe even the whole camp!

You didn’t even have time to process the whole thing as your heart was beating a million times per minute, JJ giving you a grin before he’s running frantically to get you out the door as he shushes all the screaming girls.

His hand latches between yours. Hot and cold, but it works. He’s been searching for you and your warm hands are the comfort in which he’s found you━━that he’s holding you again. 

And his cold hand is the shock of that moment seconds ago, a friendship frozen and cracked but to reveal something more. Something warm inside that was comforting and made you so flustered.

His cold hand cooled her down until the fresh summer breeze settled in of the night, as you and JJ ran through the camp laughing without a care in the world. All eyes could be on you but you didn’t care, because nothing else mattered.

Just JJ.

We need to have another chat again! About ✨BOUNDARIES✨

So, I have been having an issue with people thinking they can be rude to me or even playfully rude to me in my asks. I honestly thought turning off anon asks would stop people from doing that but apparently not!

I don't know what gives them the idea that they can joke in a rude way towards me when I have no idea who they are lol. It is starting to delve into the parasocial territory where they think we are on friend terms of joking in a mean spirited way, when I only interacted with them maybe once or never. ( I've dealt with someone who became parasocial with me when I started out on Tumblr, and it genuinely freaked me out, so please knock it off!)

I let it go before, but it's getting annoying lol.

And another thing, I'm starting to not want to answer asks of people wanting me to draw them/their Oc/ self-insert interacting with my Sun and Moon because it's just mostly them wanting me to draw their characters being rude or even hurting Sun and Moon.

And that's just gonna lead to a lot of people getting upset in my inbox lol. ( Also being rude to me while also wanting me to draw your Oc is definitely not gonna make me want to draw something for you!)

Not to mention some of you are wanting me to draw waaaaay too intimate stuff with your Ocs/self-inserts and Sun/Moon where I'm getting uncomfortable. So uh just simmer down some alright?

There is probably more but I'm too tired to think about it lol. I was debating whether I should write this or not, but honestly I shouldn't feel bad about stating my boundaries. No one should feel bad about having boundaries! And it's okay to say no when you are made uncomfortable!

I think my problem is worrying about hurting other folks' feelings. But honestly, I need to start putting my comfort and mental health first. I'm sure this is an issue many people deal with 😅

That's about it. I hope I don't have to keep making posts like this in the future. Some folks just need to dial it back some lol. Also I need to be more firmer with my boundaries haha.

Okay SO I've had these Patchilles OC's for like 3-ish years now and I've never shared them on here before bc they mean so much to me the idea of putting them out here seemed super scary BUT here are two of my Patchilles kids Maximus and Hyacinth 👉🏼👈🏼 (Yes that name is intentional and supposed to be ironic lmao)

More about them + the lore under the cut!

Basically, this is canon divergence and the lore is that Pat and Achilles don't go to Troy and instead stay in Phthia after their time on Pelion. Thinking that they no longer have to worry about a prophecy, they end up getting married and starting a family but, unbeknownst to them, the prophecy doesn't exactly go away, it gets passed down to Maximus and becomes it’s own big thing as the war goes on for well over a decade overseas. Thetis is the only one who actually knows about this and she keeps it a secret from Achilles and takes it upon herself to train Maximus and turn him into the next aristos achaion.

I'm actually in the middle of writing this as a series on ao3 (Currently on the 4th work!). If you're interested, you can start with the first fic, New Beginnings, which explains everything a lot more (their engagement, the reason why they stay) OR you can jump right into the story I'm currently working on, The Rest of Our Lives, though you might be a bit confused!

Maximus is by far one of my favorite OC’s but I love developing his siblings as characters too. If you read/have read The Rest of Our Lives, you’ll see that Maximus definitely takes after Achilles like without a doubt and it’s brought up several times but as he grows older, he becomes a well rounded mix of them both and I like to think that Pat’s attributes shine more then though I haven’t written it all out just yet! Maximus is just a fun loving, rambunctious kid who tries his best with the cards he’s dealt, he’s very loving and kind hearted and an overall good kid!

Hyacinth is about four years younger than him and one of my favorites too, especially as he grows into his character. So they do have another sibling but I’ve only just gotten there in the story so I don’t want to spoil anything, but he is a true middle child lol it’s actually an important part of his character that really gets explored later on in the series. He’s also a sweetheart, a little more reserved than Maximus but I wouldn’t call him an introvert, he’s just not as…. Hyperactive as his older brother lmao but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get roped into Maximus’ antics too.

I’ve also written modern au stuff with them (which I haven’t posted anywhere), so like now whenever I imagine any au with Pat and Achilles, it’s hard not to picture these two, especially Maximus, in it too lol

Sorry for rambling so much, this is the first time I’ve actually talked about these two outside of my writing 😅 I hope y'all enjoy them as much as I do! And feel free to ask me about them from time to time if you want :)

so, instead of working on what i actually wanted to work on ... i did some rough mock up and UI stuff for the pixel game i dream of making

(some sprites are done and copied over, like the basic player character- most are super rough -throw some color in vageuly the shape you need -)

my dream idea (probably impossible espeiclaly for a noob gamedev like me lol) is like a mix of minecraft and stardew with a bit of botw and ww, but set in my OCs world- with a heavy focus on customization and environment/exploration more than making money or something (you might collect celestial silver bits- which are toxic to demons and thus better collected by you in an effort to heal their world and you get rewards for turning it in?)

the Hud? UI? you see here is well .. health and energy in the upper left corner plus some controls which are also in the upper right corner, the idea is to mimic windwakers style of button mapping- meaning that you can put any item on any button you want (only inventory is locked bc it contains all the options)- that extends to the jump, interact and sit actions too, theyd be in your inventory like an item you get from the start, so if you never wanna sit down, put sth else there, dont want to interact with anything and just run around? sure do, never jump? no problem

in the lower right corner is the info thingy, with the big wheel being time of day, the second the health of the environment (the main mechanic in restricting you- if you cut down trees or introduce plants from other, later unlockable, areas it will go down, if you reach critical level too many times Eadrya (blue rough sprite there) will show up whereever you are and kill you (bc the whole idea is that you are a demon hunter who wanted to leave the organization but was hunted down by them for it- so you are rescued by Shargon and put into one of the bubbles around travel gates meant to protect humans from the otherwise toxic-to-humans atmosphere in the demon world, but since you are a hunter, and they cant be sure you can be trusted, you are tasked with helping their world recover from the damage your former allies caused- so if you do more damage than heal it and you do it on purpose they will see it as proof you have not actually left the hunters, which means if Eadrya is the one watching the area you will be eaten/smashed/etc- if its someone else thrown back into the human realm)

below that is the temperature- and on the side is the current and coming weather

(edit: as sidenote, i always got a color filter layer ready for grayscale to check if everythings still readable without color- its an effort to make it more accessible for people with color vision impairment, but i dont think i can test for every single one? theres alot of levels of color blindness right? >o<)

He’s a work in progress still but I wanted to share the first pass of his completed look so badly X)

I’ve had Sir Meteor in progress since August 2023, if you want to see the progress it will be under the read more!

Sir Meteor’s story starts with my fist kirby OC I made, Terra Knight! I won’t talk about him too much except that I knew from early on he had a older brother. TK originally has a skull mask in his very early concepts, but then I learned Axe Knight existed, and they looked too similar. I shelved the concept for a while until I had more ideas.

In August 2023, I started to sketch out allosaurus skulls because I had wanted to revisit the concept and thought maybe I would redesign Terra Knight to have a dinosaur skull mask. It did not happen, but that planted the seed.

In November, I had been struck with inspiration and started doodling. The name is very important to the lore of my OCs and is very deliberate, so once I figured out the name for Sir Meteor, a lot of elements fell into place instantly!!

This is the first time I gave Meteor colors, and I also put him next to his siblings so they would look cohesive. Me mentioning how he doesn’t even have shoes yet is foreshadowing.

In the following day, I sketched him more to get a feeling for his design!!

The most notable thing about this is probably 1.) here I cemented the twin-tail cape because it looks like the tail of a comet and 2.) since it looked like a comet, I wanted the pauldron to include a star somehow

Also fun fact!!! The shape of his horns is directly inspired by Triceratops horns!!

Which led to the designing of his pauldrons later in November!

I ended up combining elements of the first and third design because together they would look like shooting stars!

This is also when I decided on giving him the four pointed star blushing! Around this time I posted a sketch of Meta Knight with star blushes and I wanted to include more fun blush shapes. Also the four pointed star is a subtle Galacta Knight reference! Sir Meteor is genuinely old, prehistoric even, and he comes from that time period, and I wanted the star shapes to reflect that

After this I was stuck. I was extremely stuck and could not figure out how to design his shoes. Since everything else was so themed, it had to mean the shoes had to match as well. I wanted to keep the prehistoric/star themes, going strong. I tried a few times to give him plain armor but it did not look correct at all!

I took a few months to think about it. Another important thing is that whatever shoe I drew had to look good and cohesive with AND without his skull mask. It was hard to balance but yesterday (21 February) I began to cook.

On the sketch page, you can see how the thought process evolved from the top of the page downwards. You can see the “haha drawing smiles with sharp teeth- oh wait a minute hold on” happen in real time.

On the page on the right, is when I finally designed his shoes!!! THE EVIL IS DEFEATED!!!!

This character is so heavily themed and I thought about it so much. So. Much. If anyone actually read this breakdown you deserve a gold star thank you for listening to my insane, several month long thought process. I’m so proud of him for a reason. Now I need to finalize the colors and stuff but for now enjoy!
