Hi guys,
Welcome to the Pillow Talk Party! In case you haven't seen my other blog posts this week, we are celebrating Charlotte Tilbury's new Pillow Talk products. So far we have had the new shade Pillow Talk Fair in glosses, lipsticks and lip cheats and today we have a completely brand new product! Today we are chatting about the already viral Pillow Talk Big Lip Plumpgasm Plumping Lip Gloss, £27.00.
Last month this product was teased on social media and I was so excited to see a brand new lip formula. We love the Lip Collagen formula which makes your lips look fuller and shiner but this new formula is a whole other level! Usually I have plumping glosses because I can't stand that mouth on fire feeling but this formula is more unique and more comfortable on the lips.
The Plumpgasm Plumping Gloss comes in 2 shades fair - medium and medium - deep, for obvious reasons I got the first shade which is a pink nude tone. This new formula starts off as a cooling sensation rather than a burning feeling and then tingles as your lips get plumper, it's a weird description I know but it's honestly accurate. The best part is you don't have to wait ages for the plumping effect, once you apply the gloss you can see your lips start to change straight away. Like I said out of all the brands I've tried before this is by far the most comfortable and the gloss shade is stunning itself.
As Charlotte says "Enriched with Plumpgasm Heat + Ice Technology, plump-effect Collageneer™️ and hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, the formula combines the hydrating comfort of a balm + the amplifying power of a lip plumper with the beautifying pretty pink Pillow Talk effect so your lips look plumper + smoother". The gloss itself comes in a bigger applicator compared to a regular Tilbury gloss and the packaging is stunning! It's very unique to Charlotte's normal packaging and I adore it!
So if you're in the market for a new plumping lip product I would really recommend checking this one out. Some people are sensitive to plumping makeup products so check the ingredients first on the page linked above. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot's of love,
Bella x x

Hi Sarah! Forgive my interruption during the listening party but I have an urgent skincare question.
I use Mad Hippie products the last couple of years and totally love them my skin has never felt this good. Until 2 weeks ago when suddenly my skin got a little itchy and a little red. And it slowly got worse.
Fast forward to today and it’s unbearably itchy and red and burning. I need to stop using them so my skin can rebalance but I have no idea what to try instead that is just a simple and calming.
I’m searching on Google for ideas and there are just so many and basically all as advertisements disguised as articles. Do you have any recommendations??
My best guess as to what went wrong is I irritated my skin barrier with too many serums that have Vit c and other actives.
Thank you for any ideas !! Has this ever happened to you?? I’m honestly freaking out.
Hi friend! Oh no. This sounds horrible and like your skin is suddenly having a really adverse reaction. I'm not sure what you might have done (I've never used Mad Hippie products nor know what your current routine is) but yes if you're using actives you very well may have futzed with your barrier (that was me but a few weeks ago when I went way too hard on my retinol and vitamin c etc).
My best recommendation in instances like this is to pare back your entire routine, remove all actives, opt for really simple non-irritating, unscented things that will get you back to baseline before you can even think of reintroducing the harder stuff. My drugstore recommendations would be Cetaphil, Vanicream, anything in the Toleriane line from La Roche Posay. Cleanser, hyaluronic acid, moisturizer, sunscreen. NOTHING ELSE MORE COMPLICATED THAN THAT.
Godspeed!

Do you have a fashion inspo blog?
Well, although I'm a millennial and technically from the generation that made blogging popular I have never been into fashion blog like that
Even when I was studying fashion I was more into reading magazines/industry news than blogs
It didn't stop me from digging a particular individual style though. And on that aspect, as far as I know, Toru Inagawa has been my biggest style crush. I discovered him because he was often featured into TUNE magazine (streetstyle magazine) and I immediately fell in love lol. I'm a sucker for everything oversize so I quickly became obsessed with him and his pants and knitwear
Fun fact: I am such a fan of him that when I went to Tokyo I was adamant in going to his second hand shop (he's the owner) and bought gorgeous oversize denim pants there. The same day I made an Instagram story tagging him and he looked at it 😳💗 Biggest "Sempai noticed me" moment!!! lmaoo
Toru in his younger/streetstyle days:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
him lately (he's becoming finer tbh 👀)
Tumblr media
he's super hot idc lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For female inspo it definitely was Tsubasa Masuwaka. She peaked big time during her gyaru days ; her way of coordinating sporty items (beanies, varsity tees & socks) with more fashionable pieces (denim, cowboy boots) has always fascinated me
But beside her sense of style, the way she conducted herself, being so confident in her taste and how to properly convey it in the shootings she was featured in was very inspiring.
Tumblr media
There's this documentary about her on youtube ; even if you don't understand Japanese you can have a glimpse of her style and allure (starting from the 4:00 mark). Keep in mind this was 15 years ago, so this style might come off as kinda dated but even today I think she still she had that visionary je ne sais quoi which totally explains why she is to this day the queen of a 10 millions yen empire lol Tsubasa has always been a smart businesswoman
youtube
I remember obsessively trying to buy that exact same kind beanie at New Look. Tsu chan really got young wannabe gyaru me on a chokehold lol
Today, now that gyaru fell off and she getting older, her style became pretty underwhelming (it a hit or miss really...). I'm currently reading her book "Tsubasa REAL" and the fashion chapter is okay, but it's nowhere as "WOW" as it was back when she got a big break as a gyaru dokusha model. It's interesting to see her rocking designer brand more than she ever did (in that documentary she's making a Shimamura haul - basically the equivalent of Primark in Japan) but....she never manages to pull it off and always looks like she's cosplaying
Tumblr media Tumblr media
left: wearing Burberry and MiuMiu, right: wearing Prada and Gucci
Though it seems more like a global movement in the reiwa era, which is more beauty than fashion oriented(?)
I replied to an ask where I more thoroughly elaborated on the whole difference of era in Japan but to put it bluntly, reiwa is much more conservative and "safe" (styl & make up ise) so it makes sense that Tsubasa is going along and toned down her style?
I find fascinating how her makeup style perfectly represent the Heisei vs Reiwa aesthetic shift
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heisei: glamorous/big hair, tanned/glolden skin, heavy eye makeup & eyelashes, thin eyebrows, glossy lips, shimmer...
Reiwa: pale skin, little to no eye makeup, strong eyebrow, 涙袋/ namidabukuro (drawn or surgically enhanced tearbag to look more youthful)..
The last day I was (re)watching her video of listing all her plastic surgery and she admitted messing up her face with hyaluronic acid because she was so insecure about her big round shaped head, and used hyaluronic acid to have a sharper face, but the hyaluronic acid eventually migrated on her cheeks which made her face even rounder 💀 so now she's trying to fix it with HIFU (which is some sort of electrosound muscle treatment...). She lowkey sounds addicted but that's how far narcissism will get you.... (and it seems well ingrained in the family since she said her own parents told her when she was still in middle school to pinch her nose with a clothespin 1 hour a day to have a high nose bridge (which she did) 💀 and when people clown her for having weird shaped nostril she said it hurt her feelings because that's her "natural features"....like?? bestie, maybe if you didn't mess up your nose cartilage during your growth development your nostrils wouldn't look so weird. There's nothing 'natural' about it 😬)
This woman started getting plastic surgery very young (in her early 20s with eyelid surgery) and did so continuously up until now (she's in her mid 30s) so that explains why she's looking so uncanny when she doesn't have her pictures monitored/filtered to hell and back. Tsubasa has the same syndrome as Kylie Jenner, which is women trying to fit into a very specific beauty aesthetic that only looks good on Instagram but in reality looks super uncanny.

Hump Day
The mister gets up before me.  He wakes in the dark and goes downstairs where he eats breakfast and watches YouTube videos on building fences and processing photographs.  He has taken it upon himself to unload the dishwasher every morning, which makes me very happy.  Once less chore for me.   While he’s doing that I lie in bed and turn on my heating pad.  I shove it under my lower back and then play Wordle and a few other games on my phone while I do my sciatica stretches. It works. That’s usually when he comes in and without fail greets me with, “Good morning, Honeylicious!” or “Good morning, my beautiful bride!”  This, combined with the empty dishwasher, makes him my favorite person on Earth.  Mostly because I’m propped up on my pillow with bed hair, doing my old lady PT, and there’s usually a cat draped across my chest.  I’m 100% sure that I look like I should be locked up in Cloverbottom. Pretty sure this is what he sees.
Tumblr media
After he wishes me a good morning he puts on his shoes and goes for his daily walk. He spends an hour walking all over Denton.  I get up and start my day.
This morning I got up, made the bed, scooped the cat litter, folded the laundry that I left in the dryer yesterday and then started a new load.  I squirted cleaner in both upstairs toilets and gave them a swirl just for kicks.  I washed my face and patted on some hyaluronic acid, then braided my crazy hair off my face. I pulled on some yoga pants and a sweatshirt and headed downstairs.  I preheated the oven to 325 and grabbed six eggs.  This is how I cook eggs for Mickey.
Tumblr media
He likes to have a hard boiled egg every morning with some fruit and maybe a slice of toast. Save yourself a ton of trouble and preheat your oven to 325 and pop some eggs in for 30 minutes. Once they’re cooked, plunge them into a bowl of ice water for about 10 minutes so they’ll be easy to peel.  Perfect hardboiled eggs every time.  Great way to make egg salad too. While the eggs cooked I swept the floors, put his bowl and knife from breakfast into the dishwasher, wiped out the microwave, spotted some dusty baseboards and wiped those too, took ground turkey out of the freezer for tonight’s taco bowls, and chopped up some celery and put it in an airtight container for my snacks later.  The timer dinged for the eggs so I scooped a bowl of ice and ran some water into it and plopped the eggs right in.  Setting another timer for 10 minutes gave me time to go out the back door and fill the bird bath so the song birds will hang around.  I checked on my baby Zinnias, Morning Glories, and sunflowers while I was out there and the results delighted me. We’ll have flowers! Back inside I took the eggs out of their ice bath and put them into a bowl in the frig. At this point I made myself a little snack and turned on Court TV because I like a side of murder with my meals. While eating I started jotting down my meal planning and grocery list for the coming week.  This is when the mister returned from his walk and asked something like, “What are you going to do today?”   I’d already completed 6 or 7 chores and put nearly 3,000 steps on my FitBit.  This is how men get killed.  The invisible work that maintains a household is a thankless job.  In his defense, he really just wanted to know what I had going on because he’s in demand in Denton as a photographer and is always running off to snap an event or a special spot.  Yesterday he had a meeting with the Parks and Rec people to lay the groundwork for teaching a photography class. But, that was not today’s reason for asking. He was itching to get started on the fence. The weather this week has been kind of gross.  We thought we’d get the fence up on Monday - rain.  It was supposed to clear up on Tuesday - drizzle. Surely Wednesday would offer sunshine - damp and chilly.  It only rained briefly this morning and it was more misting than raining.  When the mister came back from his walk he remarked that the wind and lack of sun made for cold hands.  Cold hands are not good for fence building, so we waited again.  But around 4:30 he declared that it had warmed up (it hadn’t) and the sun was out (it wasn’t) and we should get started on the fence.  Because I already feel guilty that I nagged him into building this fence in the first place, I agreed.  Geez. In the short time before I had to get dinner started we put up two sections.  I say “we”, but he was the one sinking posts, pounding stuff, measuring stuff, checking the level, etc.  I did a lot of holding things while he pounded them and sorting pickets by size.  I was also very handy every time he lost something...”It’s right there”...”It’s in your pocket”...”You’re standing on it”, and so on. Tomorrow’s weather should be better, and hopefully we’ll knock out the other seven sections.  Cross your fingers. As I made dinner tonight I found myself peeking at the partial fence and admiring how tidy it will make everything look back there.
Tumblr media
Once it’s complete I can do a little landscaping in front of it, position the bird bath and the feeders, and it’ll be sweet. Tomorrow will be long, but worth it.  That’s the end of this boring post and I’m heading upstairs for a long soak. I may take a piece of chocolate with me. I’ll send a wish into the universe for a sunny day tomorrow and fewer tree roots to work around.  I’m also sending out gratitude for a husband that can do math.  I would have screwed this up already.
Tumblr media
Until tomorrow - stay safe, stay well. XOXO,
Nancy

What to do when dark circles don't want to leave your life? Does the famous cucumber on the eyes really work? Come with me and I have selected some infallible methods.

How to Say Goodbye to Under-Eye Circles
Hey there! So, you're here because you're tired of those stubborn under-eye circles making you look like you've been burning the midnight oil. No worries – we've got your back! This isn't just another run-of-the-mill guide; it's your ultimate handbook to help you banish those pesky dark circles for good.
Let's Get to the Bottom of This
Before we jump into the cool remedies, let's chat about what's causing those under-eye circles. After all, knowing your enemy is the first step to victory, right?
Lack of Zzz's
You know those nights when you traded sleep for an extra episode of your favorite show? Well, your under-eye circles remember those too. When you skimp on sleep, the blood vessels beneath your eyes get all rowdy and start peeking through your skin, making you look like you've been on an all-nighter.
Blame it on Genetics
Sometimes, it's not your fault – it's in your genes. If your folks or grandparents had under-eye circles, guess what? You're in the club!
Allergies, Anyone?
Allergies are another sneak attack on your under-eye area. They trigger inflammation, release histamines, and, voilà, you've got those dark circles staring back at you in the mirror.
Aging Gracefully
As we age, our skin decides to thin out and lose some collagen, revealing those blood vessels. So, thank you, aging, for this little gift.
If you are looking for a solution to improve the appearance of your skin, reducing wrinkles and expression lines, I bring you something new: >>>Try this today<<<
At-Home Solutions to the Rescue
Now that we've got the scoop on the culprits, let's talk about easy, at-home fixes to say goodbye to those circles.
1. Cucumber Coolness
You've seen it in movies for a reason. Cucumber slices are like a spa day for your eyes. They're cool, refreshing, and they'll help reduce puffiness.
2. Brew Some Tea
Don't toss those used tea bags! They're your secret weapon. Opt for tea with caffeine to shrink blood vessels and lighten the dark areas.
3. Bring on the Cold
A good old cold compress can work wonders. It reduces puffiness and gets your blood circulation flowing in the right direction.
4. Hydrate Like Your Skin Depends on It
Spoiler: it does! Dehydration can make under-eye circles look worse, so grab that water bottle and start sipping.
5. Beauty Sleep
Let's not underestimate the power of a good night's sleep. Aim for 7-8 hours of beauty rest to wake up feeling refreshed and looking less like a raccoon.
Skincare Heroes
Besides these home remedies, there are some fantastic skincare products to help you on your quest to brighter eyes.
1. Eye Creams to the Rescue
Look for eye creams with superstar ingredients like retinol, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C. They'll smooth out your skin and make those circles history.
2. Sunscreen: Your BFF
Protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. Sun exposure can worsen your under-eye circles, so slather on that sunscreen.
When All Else Fails: Go Pro!
If you're looking for some heavy artillery to tackle those dark circles, consider these professional treatments:
1. Chemical Peels: The Glow Getter
Chemical peels can do wonders for your skin texture and fade pigmentation, including those under-eye circles.
2. Dermal Fillers: Plump It Up
Dermal fillers add some much-needed volume to the under-eye area, making those dark circles vanish.
3. Laser Therapy: Laser Magic
Laser treatments target the pesky blood vessels causing discoloration, giving you an even skin tone.
Prevention is the Best Medicine
Remember, while these remedies and treatments are fantastic, the best defense is a good offense. Keep a healthy lifestyle, get enough sleep, and shield your skin from the sun – that's the ultimate secret to keeping those under-eye circles at bay.
In a nutshell, under-eye circles are no match for you. With the knowledge of their causes and these fantastic remedies and treatments, you'll soon say goodbye to those tired, panda eyes. So go on, embrace these solutions, and let's bid adieu to those pesky circles together!
If you are looking for a solution to improve the appearance of your skin, reducing wrinkles and expression lines, I bring you something new: >>>Try this today<<<

Dreams from 7.10.23
Three bombs, like the real-life version of the cartoon bomb emoji with black ball and burning fuse. One of them becomes larger in my field of focus, it feels like a bomb is about to go off. A feeling of energy moving and excitement. And then I drifted in and out of the following dreams, forgetting most of the details....
I am with my father and we are going to visit his friend that he hasn’t seen in a long time. As we are approaching the friend's house, there is a very tall bush nearby shaped like hedge. I can tell it's a Murraya because I can see the little white flowers. There is a ladder right next to it and and my father tells me to get up on it and to stay there. Just in case this guy is trouble, I'll be safe high up off the ground. I don't feel any fear though. From the top-most step of the ladder looking over the hedge, I watch the friend open his front door to reveal my father and they embrace. Then they are go for walk and I get down from the ladder and follow them.
I showed up to my aesthetician appointment. Usually it's just the lady and I but there were other people there, I remember a man who was about my age who seemed to be her assistant. She'd already started on me and I suddenly realised I hadn't put any anaesthetic cream on but was feeling no pain. I hadn't prepared for this appointment at all, it seemed like I just appeared at her doorstep randomly. She even got out some exaggeratedly large-looking injections and injected them into my face without first telling me, but I still felt no pain at all. I asked her what was in them and she said hyaluronic acid. Then I got this feeling like since she was so busy with other clients at the same time as me, that that I should come back later today when she was less busy. I figured I would come back here before 5pm.
I left and then I am walking up some granite steps somewhere in a city-like setting. I am then suddenly aware that I am imagining this very scene that I presume to be real and it is as convincing as 'waking life'. My human self is in bed using the construct of 'sleeping' to astral-travel but I am not even doing that, it is not really 'travelling'. I have simply constructed this reality of walking up the steps by thinking it, and am experiencing it as real by continually and effortlessly, catapulting my focus upon it. This happens no differently every time another reality is experienced. Then the human personality interjects and labels what is currently happening as becoming lucid in a dream. She thinks 'Is this real? It feels real. Damn, I'm really making this real just by focusing on it....'.

Today's Focus
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10.03.23 - Still sunny and warm, but because it's above average so is the AC at work and I grabbed the wrong sweater for my outfit today. At least I figured out how to make my pumpkin spice coffee taste right.
Work - I got one new case in at the end of yesterday that I have to make up in our case file system and create a physical file for. But that's p much it; anything else will be what comes in via email and I might possibly have to service documents for one of the Claims lawyers.
Background Noise - There are about 13 random videos for me to catch up on, plus I have saved a bunch of themed videos relating to random drama. Each video I watch will be followed up with a short wrestling interview I've been holding back.
Perchance I should be tracking how many of these I end up watching each day.
Study - Alright it's article day. That means the plan/goals for today are:
Three (3) more transcripts from the Emmett Till murder trial.
Two (2) Panama Paper scientific studies
At least three (3) Panama Paper news articles
At least ten (10) pages of the Glass Report
Finish The Great American Experiment
Go through my "Good News" article bookmarks - read as many as I can, and delete those that are no longer relevant (about festivals/events that have now passed)
Yesterday I did manage to:
Finish the article about the live action Snow White controversies.
Read all 4 press releases
Read 3 of the 6 Emmett Till murder trial transcripts I planned
Finished the Wikipedia article on Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission (did not read the decision on Justia yet)
Read 3 of 10 planned pages of the Inflation Reduction Act (those are dense pages though)
Extras - I have to stop at the drugstore to get more hyaluronic acid serum, and Ik I'm cooking dinner tonight but I think the rest of the chores are for tomorrow. Slowly but surely I'll write some words of my various WIPs today.

blog beginnings: skincare + makeup
currently in the mood to try blogging again. today is my day off, and i promised myself that i will let boredom takeover my life more often. i cherish boring days because this is the time when i embrace doing random things and completely abandon any type of planning.
today i feel like talking about makeup and skincare. im not an expert though, just an enthusiast.
Tumblr media
for skincare, i usually wear makeup and sunscreen (laneige hydro UV defense), so i like to take it off using the farmacy green clean cleansing balm. i ran out of this product recently, and sephora canada stopped carrying them (honestly RUDE), so i got a small size of the clinique take the day off charcoal cleansing balm just to try it out. i am not sure if im a fan of the clinique one... it doesn't do the job as good as the farmacy one 😐 after that i cleanse my face with the inkey list salicylic acid cleanser cause im a double cleanse girlie.
im on the hunt for a new toner so that's coming soon, and i recently got the needly daily toner pads which are so popular in korea right now. i tried it and i found that it already made me skin so soft and balanced after just 1 day of use 😮 of course im going to keep using this. after this i would use serums but im also out of the ordinary niacinamide serum so it's not in the photo. then i use a moisturizer (innisfree green tea hyaluronic acid cream).
sometimes i do masks too!
Tumblr media
i enjoy using makeup but im not as interested in it as i am with skincare for some reason 😋 i like to change up the products i use but the ones i have been using for a long time are these ones:
tarte face tape foundation (not pictured because im trying sephora's best skin ever foundation as i heard it's a dupe. it's not. maybe in the first hour? it doesn't last as long as the face tape foundation. listen, i know it can cost your kidneys, but the tarte foundation is amazing unfortunately 🤠)
tarte shape tape concealer (using a mini one right now because im looking for a dupe… again, this shit is expensive.)
glossier boy brow (i cannot find any good dupes either. love love love this product)
glossier pro-tip eyeliner (i love this because ive been in countless situations where i cried: went to therapy sessions where i cried, i was wearing this to the hospital when my dad was sick and i cried, i went to class and talked about heavy issues and i cried... and it never smudged. no racoon eyes. thank you glossier.)
kat von d everlasting liquid lipstick (which has been discontinued apparently. i love the lolita ii shade though. oh well)
kissme heroine make mascara (the only mascara for me. dont sleep on jbeauty! in the pic i also have the maybelline sky high mascara but i find that it doesn't last as long as kissme)
tarte aquaflash foundation brush (mermaid vibes, but also reeeaallly great when im using liquid products)
rare beauty liquid touch foundation brush (im starting to really like rare beauty)
newer ones im trying:
lys no limits cream bronzer stick (it's okay. very creamy and blendable!)
colorgram fruity glass tint (ummm no. the packaging is so cute but the product itself is a pass for me)
i use two eyeshadow palettes: colourpop smoke & roses and huda beauty rose quartz because i love pink shades and subtle glitter
colourpop sailormoon pink powder blush (i mean it's pink. and it's sailormoon.)
anastasia beverly hills translucent setting powder (i really want the charlotte tilbury one)
i have no setting spray at the moment but usually it's the nyx dewy finish setting spray. i also want the charlotte tilbury one...
as you may have noticed, i need to go shopping to restock 😋 i hope this entertained you a little bit, or even picked up some useful recommendations and ideas for your own skincare and makeup routine 😊 haircare, on the other hand, is a whole other beast.

Welcome to another post of Vitality Vogue: Chic Chronicles! Today, we are diving into the world of genuine makeup and skincare questions that every girl needs answers to. Get ready for a girlish and funny journey as we address some of the most pressing beauty concerns. But before we begin, let me introduce myself. I'm Anala's bestie and apparently the one who wrote this post since she wasn't available. So, let's get started, shall we?
Tumblr media
Question 1: "Is it true that makeup expires?"
Oh, darling, believe it or not, makeup does have an expiration date. Just like that guy who ghosted you, your favorite foundation or mascara can turn into a disaster if you use it past its prime. So, make sure to check those sneaky little symbols on the packaging to know when it's time to bid adieu to your beloved products. Remember, we want to slay the makeup game, not end up looking like a hot mess.
Question 2: "How can I keep my skin glowing and flawless?"
Ah, the eternal quest for the perfect skin! Fear not, bestie, we've got your back. Start by hydrating like a boss. Drink that water as if your life depends on it. Then, pamper your skin with a skincare routine that makes you feel like a queen. Cleanse, moisturize, and never skip sunscreen. And when life throws lemons at you, make a DIY face mask. Trust me, your skin will thank you later.
Tumblr media
Question 3: "What's the deal with skincare ingredients?"
Oh, girl, the world of skincare ingredients can be as confusing as your crush's mixed signals. But don't worry, we'll break it down for you. Look for buzzwords like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and retinol. These magical ingredients can work wonders for your skin. And if you stumble upon a name longer than your ex's last name, just remember to Google it and see if it's worth the hype.
Question 4: "How can I prevent makeup mishaps?"
We've all been there, babe. From a mascara wand attack to an overly enthusiastic bronzer application, makeup mishaps are part of the journey. But fear not, with a few tips and tricks up your sleeve, you can conquer them. Blend, blend, blend! Whether it's eyeshadow or foundation, blend until you can't blend no more. And don't be afraid to embrace your inner Picasso when it comes to experimenting. Sometimes, those unexpected mishaps turn into the most fabulous makeup looks.
Tumblr media
Question 5: "What's the secret to long-lasting makeup?"
Ah, the quest for a makeup look that can survive the apocalypse! The secret, my friend, lies in the power of primers and setting sprays. These little miracles will keep your makeup in place, even through a dance-off or an emotional rom-com marathon. So, invest in these magical potions and never worry about your makeup melting away ever again.
And there you have it, bestie! We've addressed some genuine makeup and skincare questions that were itching to be answered. Remember, beauty is all about having fun and feeling fabulous. Stay tuned for more exciting posts from Vitality Vogue: Chic Chronicles. Until next time, keep slaying and stay gorgeous!
P.S. If you missed Anala in this post, don't worry, she'll be back soon with more beauty tips and tricks. Stay tuned!

Because of my flu, my nose area is irritated from blowing my nose and my chin had a small breakout because of wearing my mask to go to the doctor.
I'm going to only use vitamin c and hyaluronic acid serums in the meantime since I cannot use retinol meanwhile.
I still have to use the sheet mask that my cousin gave me because it's for irritated skin. I also realized today that there was a second sheet mask with cooling effect, I think he got it for me thinking that it will make my skin good but also cool my face from the fever. My cousin is a sweetheart, he's like REALLY young compared to me but I really admire his respect to his older peers and his caring behavior.
I'm going to affirm that he will do well on his school exams and for him to get a loving girlfriend that will soothe his heart since he had a severe heartbreak and hasn't recovered emotionally since then (like I said, he is really young so it was a "first girlfriend whom he pictured his life with suddenly cheating on him and blocking and ghosting him without talking about things" type of situation).
I'm the type of person that just wants people who have a kind heart to be happy and fulfilled. That includes my baby cousin.

Hey guys,
When my brother got married back in August I had my makeup professionally done and for someone who always does their own makeup I really enjoyed the experience. While I was having my makeup done I was chatting to the makeup artist and I noticed she was using products from The Beauty Crop. Personally I had never heard of this brand before but I loved the way the products she used held my makeup. So naturally once my makeup was done I got a list of products from here to order and today we are chatting about 2 of them.
If like myself you didn't know about the brand, The Beauty Crop is an affordable brand that offers luxury quality products. The female funded and created business produce products which are plant-based, nutritional formulas that transforms the skin. Every product is created with clean ingredients so they can look after your skin while you're using them. Now we know about the brand let's chat about the products I picked up.
The first product I picked up was the Oui Cherie Hydrating Gripping Primer XXL, £14.00. Online a lot of people have compared this formula to the Hydra Grip primer with very similar ingredients but a much more affordable price. This primer is a oil-free, tacky based primer so it can really hold on to your makeup. As well as making your makeup stay in place all day it also hydrates your skin. I've been using this for a while now and I love the finish it gives my skin. Also don't be scared by the red it fades when you rub the primer onto your face.
I also picked up the Porefilter Mattifying Mist, £24.00. Now yes £24.00 is on the pricey end of the setting spray price mark but I have to admit one bottle will last you ages so it's a good investment. Let's chat about what makes this spray so special, this ultra-fine mist contains oil-absorbing agents to help mattify skin and polymers to set & seal makeup all day. Made with hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, and pore-reducing Niacinamide, this spray can be ideal for acne prone skin (according to their site) as it hydrates your skin while smoothing it.
So far I am adoring these products because together they really seal my makeup in place without feeling heavy or like I have a million different products on. So if you're looking for a new brand to try why not check out The Beauty Crop. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lots of love
Bella xx

Get Glowing Skin with the Power of Vitamin C: A Complete Guide to Using Vitamin C Serum (GOODAL, Eclat)
1. GOODAL VITAMIN-C SERUM
Tumblr media
Hey there, fellow skincare enthusiasts!
I recently got my hands on a new GOODAL Vitamin C serum that has been making waves in the beauty community, and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with it. So much so, that I felt compelled to share my experience with all of you. The product I am talking about is the Vitamin C serum by GOODAL. It claims to brighten the skin, reduce the appearance of dark spots, and even out skin tone. As someone who has dealt with hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, I was excited to try it out.
I highly recommend this Goodal Vitamin C serum to anyone looking to brighten and even out their skin tone. It is a great addition to any skincare routine and has become a staple in my own routine.
Give it a try, and let me know what you think!

2. ECLAT VITAMIN C SERUM
Tumblr media
PURE Vitamin C Serum for Face 20% Vitamin C Facial Serums with Hyaluronic Acid Retinol Vit E Antioxidant Vitamin C Face Oil Skin Brightening Serum Anti Aging Reduce Wrinkles & Dark Spots
Next up! is the Eclat Organic Vitamin C Serum, our forever favorite! This is one of the best-selling beauty product in Amazon. After using it for three months, I can confidently say that this serum is now one of my favorites. As someone with dry and acne-prone skin, I have tried many Vitamin C serums that have caused breakouts, but this one did not. I have noticed that my skin is brighter, smoother, and blemishes are fading, which is remarkable. In the two months that I have been using this serum, I have only had two breakouts. I typically use this serum in the morning since I use retinol and other incompatible actives at night.
Although it has a thinner consistency than other serums I have used, I like how easily it goes on and how it tingles slightly after application. I have not experienced any irritation around my eyes, and the dropper works fine, but I place drops directly on my hand since it runs down too quickly.
Although the serum has not reduced my wrinkles or pores' size, it has softened and hydrated my skin, which is why I will continue using it. The only downside is that it dries out my skin a bit after a few seconds, so I have to apply facial cream. However, since everyone's skin is different, some people may have different experiences.
Tumblr media
Overall, the Organic Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid Serums are excellent products that I would recommend. The Vitamin C Serum has been especially transformative in brightening and smoothing my skin while fading blemishes. I will definitely continue using them in my daily skincare routine.

Busy busy busy
Hey there city lovers! Today I had a busy busy day. As always, I got my morning coffee from Poko’s Coffee on 29th and Oak- Iced caramel macchiato with oat milk and vanilla cold foam (pro tip - buy a croissant with your coffee for an extra 5% off using my code “SAM5”). I had to run a bunch of errands and get some work done, so join me as I take you along my day.
First stop- library. If you read my previous blog, you’d know I’m currently obsessed with the Purdi Voss Chronicles. I just finished the third book, Lost in love and OMG!! I don’t want to spoil it too much, but trust me, the ending will have you biting your nails. Fabian and Christi are absolutely perfect together, and I am so excited they finally gave us some more Fab-Chri content in this book. I finished the book the day before and have been dying all day yesterday because of the intense suspension. I go to the NY Public Library on 5th and Main because they have a huge selection of fiction and not to mention the cutest little reading nook on the second floor. The librarian there is also so sweet! She gives me the best suggestions and reminds me a little of my grandmother. Anyway, I rented the fourth book, Love Adventure, and read for a while in the library itself because I was too excited. After a while, however, I was rudely interrupted by the passage of time and had to get to the farmer’s market before it closed. I had actually received a really nice PR package from one of the farmers with a few fresh and juicy fruits along with a coupon code, but I accidentally dropped the coupon somewhere between leaving my house and leaving the library. I got to the market on Darby street and it was as abuzz with activity as ever. I quickly found myself on a spree of buying fresh produce and products. I love visiting the market every sunday, it’s always packed with such good energy, and of course delicious food you won’t be able to find at an ordinary grocery store. Supporting local farmers and artisans is so important, especially with the rate at which the supermarkets are taking over the industry. So I encourage you to shop local and use #Localforus so I can repost any pictures you may post! I actually bumped into some of you there. It’s so funny when I’m taking pictures with you all and I can see the confused look on strangers' faces, like what happened today. I’m not calling myself a celebrity, but it makes me feel so important LOL.
Anyway, I got back home and did my skincare. Today was exfoliation day, so I used the 2% BHA liquid exfoliant by Drunk Elephant, a sheet mask and topped it with Tatcha Dewy Skin moisturizer with hyaluronic acid.
Hope you enjoyed today’s blog! See you next time!!
XOXO,
City Girl.

2/20/2023
Work was hard today. I had a closing shift, 10-5, then went home. I laid in bed and did NYT Monday crossword puzzles. I forgot to eat dinner and my star shaped light bulbs didn't arrive in the mail. Existing can be so frustrating. The bulbs are for my new lamp I got on the side of the road. Everything is better when it's free.
I talked to my boyfriend on the phone about Watergate. What even is it? Whatever. He knows more presidents than me, maybe that makes me a worse American than him? # of presidents known = quality of American? Going backwards I can name: Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter. For all I know, before that we had elves in office. Carter is in the news because he is 98 and moving into hospice care. Okay? My coworker texted me randomly, "It's really a shame people love Jimmy Carter so much". I did not exactly understand what he meant by that. But anyone who LOVES any politician is suspicious, so I guess we agree? Hmm. . .
I did my skincare routine. Cleanse, glycolic acid, snail mucin, hyaluronic acid, cicaplast, moisturizer. Then I continued to sit in bed. And I made this tumblr account to avoid the doom scroll of other apps. That sounds a little dramatic. Maybe since this is on my laptop I won't get sucked into the same time suck. Or maybe I will forget about it. I needed somewhere else to beg for attention, just for a little bit. And it's easier to do anonymously. I guess I will just write about my day and all my thoughts. I don't have the energy to say all that, and no one has the energy to listen to all that.
Bye for now,
ginkgo girl
