lilia is always teasing you about it even if it's only like… you’re shorter by an inch or two. he’s playfully telling you how cute and small you are in comparison to him; he tells you he thinks you're such a fragile human. he loves to hug you and bury his face in your hair, he’ll coo to you as he playfully rocks you side to side, it’s sweet.

sometimes he does make jokes regarding it and trust me they're so bad that its almost funny. (keyword almost, you just give him a deadpan stare). one time when no one could hear you saying something during class, lilia mentions "ah well i guess it can't be helped. after all, you're easy to overlook fufu". once again lilia says all these things like he isn't 5'1.

im not even going to lie to you he is incredibly happy that you're shorter than him, it makes him just feel so good about himself… he is also genuinely surprised because it's not often he meets someone his age that's shorter than him. epel finally gets to feel confident and smug even if it's being a single INCH taller than you. you've once caught him standing next to you and discreetly doing the hand thing to see how much shorter you are than him haha.

yk there is something definitely wrong with my body, and the doctors don't really know what, they said many things, i got many treatments and many diagnosis just for them to keep changing it every few months and it's frustrating so i'm just gonna project onto phantom. plus this is another alternative way the "phantom believing that he's going to be sent back to the pit" small au i got going on can go. sooooo

phantom knows there's something wrong, maybe it was one of the reasons they decided to send him back.

and everytime it happens, he reminds himself, like he did in the pit, he always got beaten up, swallowed all his tears and choked back on sobs, ans he kept going, until the next hit landed, and repeat.

sometimes he can't move, like nothing in his body works, it's like everything is on a lockdown. the first time it happened he just woke up, he was about to go wash his face before he found himself on the floor, he just thought that he fainted, which does happen quite a lot to him, but he couldn't. move. he tried, oh satan did he try. at least just to get up.

his body just wouldn't listen to him, and it made him spiral into a panic atatck.

and no one came to check in on him, nobody cared enough.

but it's okay, even before the topside it wasn't like anyone cated about him, this time it's just that his body is turning against him too.

but that's how it is, you fall and raise, there isn't any other way. and now when it happens,he just takes a deep breath, reminds himself that "fuck everyone else", and waits it out, until he can move again.

sometimes phantom just wakes up wrong, everything hurts, his hands are shaking, fuck his whole body is shaking, and he isn't even cold!

he can't control it, and everything hurts, and he wants to cry but it's not like he has a reason to cry, he didn't get hurt, his body was just being silly. and it was annoying everyone, they looked at him with disgust so very clear in their eyes. they had asked if he was okay but their tone was impatient, their voice angry, he's just a fuck up.

most of the time he faints. he can't control it, he tried drinking enough water but they just make him feel sick now, he tried eating only healthy food, he looks after his sugar flow.

nothing helps.

he doesn't know why it happens. he's young, even for a ghoul. he's a new ghoul, a new summoned. there's no reason for his body to be like this.

and he's a quintessence ghoul. he's supposed to take care of others, to make sure that no one else is in pain. no one would care if he's in pain, no one should even know about it.

he's not important enough, just a replacement, a temporary one too. he'll be sent back to the pit and they won't even have to think twice about him.

so he just push through, like he isn't in pain at all, like he didn't just fainted, like his body works 100% of the times, like he's just okay. and no one really cares, just like his name, he himself is a phantom.

after the tour he locked himself in his room, he was scared that they won't even let him rest for a tiny bit before sending him back.

and one day became two, and two became three, and it went on and on until the days became a blur.

he doesn't remember much, there were knocks on his door, voices that he didn't recognize, words that he didn't know anymore. but he does remember the last night of isolation.

he just wanted to sit on the floor, his window open, and look at the stars, feel their light on his skin, like magic(k) coursing through his veins.

and he shook his head before standing up, before it happened again, the floor has hurt, and he once again couldn't move.

he was too busy being stuck in his head, too busy crying, too busy being in pain, to hear the knocks and worried voice from out of his door. or maybe the door muffled it all, maybe it was like a barrier between him and (almost) everything that hurt him.

but he did try to apologize when the door opened, tried to promise to be healthy, to be okay, to be good, tried to ask to "please look away", tried to beg to "please don't hurt me, please." but he forgot how to speak in english, he forgot how to use words, and so they all died on his tounge, leaving a sour taste in his mouth.

"shhh," someone who he didn't know said, he tried to look but his eyes decided it was the perfect time to stop working, to disconnect themselves from his brain, and so he was left in darkness for a minute or two.

he felt the small press of quintessence in his mind, he felt it embracing him as he slowly stopped crying.

"dew," phantom heard the unfamiliar ghoul say, "tell omega to get here, right now." and he heard someone else talk, voice fading away, as hands pet through his hair before the ghoul focused on him again, "it's all gonna be okay, it will all be okay."

and his eyes started to work again just when he decided that the scent of this ghoul feels like home should, not like he knew, he never really had a home, but he smells like safety, and maybe safety is home?

and the other ghoul smiled down at him, and yeah, home.

accuracy is something really important to me when i'm writing so if you think it was accurate then i'm so glad

and i'm so excited for a nagito request i haven't gotten one in a while

byakuya is not the type to nag you to tell him what's going on

he's such a "sit in comfortable silence" type of guy

because of your social anxiety, combined with his general aversion to people, the two of you don't go out often

he is perfectly content with you entertaining each other in your own home

but some times you can't avoid going out. errands and all that jazz

and usually he would go by himself and let you stay home, but this time he really needed your help with what he was doing

he knows how being around lots of people affects you, and while he can't relate, he can sort of imagine how it feels. you're afraid of people, he is annoyed by them. so you both kind of have something in common: you love avoiding social situations

anyway, when you're in public he always makes sure to stand near you and never lets the two of you get separated

if you were to end up separated, he would internally panic

one of the only times he ever experiences genuine anxiety: when you are left alone in a stressful environment

it took a long time to get you to open up to him. not that he was trying, he preferred to let it happen naturally so it was genuine.

and he is so glad you did because now he knows what kind of situations to avoid, and he is perfectly content with being a social hermit

nagito likes(?) being around certain people generally, but he also doesn't mind being alone, so wherever you go, he goes, and if you want to be a hermit, he wants to be a hermit

it was actually really easy for you to open up to him purely because he is so self-deprecating that there was no way he would judge you for anything

from time to time he will encourage you to go out and face your fear because yknow, it's the hopeful thing to do. then he'll apologize because you probably don't want advice from a lowlife like him (his words not mine)

anyway, when you two go out he's never afraid to hold your hand or bring you close to him

(i think nagito is so old fashioned in the way that he feels modern flirting and stuff can be too offensive or disrespectful so he likes to court ppl he is attracted to. we need to bring back courting pls)

so in public he generally has his hand on the small of your back, or intertwined in yours, wherever you want it to be

he's so damn intuitive. if he ever notices you are uncomfortable in a certain environment (and he will always notice), he will find a way to get out of there

kokichi is a very free spirit, you can't tie him down

he's always ready to go out and do things

being around people is his thing, he's hella extroverted

so he's always begging you to do things with him, and he just can't grasp how you are so anxious around people

he asked you why because he was genuinely trying to understand, and at first you wouldn't really talk about it, so he gave up

it might seem like he's annoyed about it sometimes, but he's just adjusting to being with someone who lives a lifestyle so different to his

eventually he will come around. and, like nagito, he will encourage you to go out and fight off that social anxiety

he often invites friends over so you can socialize in a comfortable environment and get used to the presence of others

when you two go out and you worry you're being stared at, he'll purposely do silly things to embarrass himself and take the attention off you. he's such a goof

and if he notices you're getting uncomfortable, he will get you out of there, find someplace quiet, and make sure you're okay. he'll also give you a ton of kisses!

and if for some reason any person is ever bothering you more than usual, he'll weird them out by barking or some shit so they'll go away (he would literally do this don't tell me he wouldn't)

- he really enjoys dressing up for halloween. it makes him feel cool, especially if it’s something powerful/scary. he doesn’t know why he likes it so much, but boy does he.

- i think he likes candy idc. i just think he’s picky about it. he likes certain candy and if you ask him nice enough he’ll pass over the candy you asked for with a roll of his eyes (he’s totally hiding a small smirk/smile thing)

- as much has he may WANT to claim that he does not want to hand out candy to kids, (he swears he can’t stand them and it’s a waste of his time) he sure as hell seems to be sporting a small little smile.

- trying to convince him to match costumes is a FEAT, if he decides he cares enough he will, but it better be worth his time.

- i think you could try and convince him to carve pumpkins, he’d be able to use it later for pumpkin curry, but he’d try his little heart out for going all out on his carving.

- he’s a smug man when he watches a horror movie (and pretends it has no effect on him) and the people he’s watching with are very scared especially if he feels like he is ‘protecting them’ (not without some teasing.)

- (also may feel the need to check candy like a worried parents. not just kalims, give him yours as well, or please just be careful, you don’t know who you can and can’t trust)

- he loves halloween but unfortunately doesn’t last for long, he is a sleepy boy after all.

- he honestly prefers giving candy to people than receiving it himself.

- more than anything he just enjoys dressing up and spending time with the people closest to him.

- you wanna match costumes? done deal, he’s fully committed and feels so special about it.

- he doesn’t get scared very easily (much to lilia and others dismay) he just lightly laughs it off

- he will definitely watch halloween movies with you, but you may have shake him awake (gently pls) when it starts to get good.

- LOVES halloween stories, especially if you have ones he hasn’t heard, he is so interested in it, he may seem like he is passed out but trust me he is intently listening and will ask so many questions.

- loves halloween so bad, he just loves seeing people all dressed up and happy.

- he IS the rich neighborhood, he buys the biggest bars of candy and is absolutely willing to give it out.

- after getting candy he likes to trade with others especially to get more of his favorites. (he makes sure to trade some specifically to get more of jails favorite candy to give him)

- tries to be scary, SO HARD, but fails, how can anyone find his lil face scary? but if he does manage to actually scare someone he laughs it off, but apologizes if he thinks he went too far.

- he would be OVER THE MOON about matching costumes, he’d feel the need to tell everyone and make sure they ALL know who he is matching with.

- begs to watch halloween movies because he just doesn’t want the night to end, as a result he ends up clinging on for dear life to whoever’s closest.

- totally steals candy i don’t wanna hear it. he usually doesn’t steal from younger kids though (unless they’re being snotty douches yk?), usually it’s from older people he finds out.

- those bowls that just have a note to ‘take one piece’ of candy. HE DOESN’T. he will take handfuls, he’ll leave enough that other people can still get some, but he is definitely taking his fill.

- needs, NEEDS to go to the wealthy areas because he knows they give out the good candy. (kalim here he comes)

- makes sure to bring someone like jack or kalim who he knows will give him some of his candy.

- he can go all right, so many rounds, even changed costumes to go around again for more candy.

- sometimes he sees some cute kids and gives em a few pieces of his candy, especially if they don’t have a lot.

- he’d tease the HELL outta you for suggesting matching costumes (but would completely wear them anyways, as long as he gets to pick what y’all wear when you go around again for more candy)

Hello! My old pinned post is officially over a year old and makes me cringe whenever I'm on my blog, so it's time to freshen things up again!

I'm Teri, I'm smack dab in the middle of my 20s and figuring out life. My writing is pretty exclusively original stuff, a lot of novels and a lot of fantasy, but I play around with various genres in short stories. Sort of a jack-of-all-trades in regards to hobbies - aside from writing, there's anything from baking to drawing with my ancient art tablet to cross-stitch to playing music to rambling around the patch of woods near my house to watching long-form D&D let's plays.

my goals

I recognize that every time I post something like this, it's with the intention of finally becoming as active on writeblr as I was during the pandemic. I also recognize I've never quite managed that.

So here are some more general goals to get me through 2024:

Finish my 2nd draft of Beyond Alder Creek

Write as cringey and brutally honest as I never allowed myself to as a teenager.

Speaking of, a large reading/writing goal of mine is to go back through every NaNo draft I've ever written (I've participated since 2011). So aside from just reading that and likely turning it into a whole spectacle on here for people's amusement, generally just survive reading through the writing from 8th grade. Stay tuned for more on that in the coming weeks lol

Finally, I have a general goal every year of reaching 100K words, between writing and editing and the like, but I'd happily be a little looser with that goal if it meant getting through others.

Before I get specifically into WIPs, a general overview of the kind of writing you can expect from me:

As I said, I'm a fantasy nerd. I love worldbuilding, both on a large scale (nations and cultures and political relationships) and a small scale (a magic shop in an otherwise contemporary setting).

There's not a lot of romance in my writing, but there Are a lot of transformational relationships and codependency. Friendships, siblings, guardians, general ride-or-dies.

Thought experiments. I've been trying to catch and indulge more in my 'wait, what if?' ideas. Sometimes, that's fun little snippets of silly ideas, sometimes it's a majorly emotionally heavy scene for a story I'll never write. Sometimes, it's coming up with ideas to 'combine genres'. It's all about expanding the range.

I have degrees in psychology and music!

I've lived across three continents, but currently live in upstate New York for whatever reason lol

The animals I've ridden on the back of include: horse, pony, elephant, and ostrich. The horse was my least favorite. By far.

I got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a couple months after Covid landed stateside (in May 2020) and am Always ready to talk someone's ear off about it.

The first story I ever wrote was on PowerPoint and was about war breaking out between humans and aliens that had taken refuge on Earth after their planet was destroyed. I was 8. There was a Lot of Clipart involved.

I've never been published, but I once secretly planned out, wrote, edited, and self-printed a couple copies of a novel about my best friends and our college apartment. They received it for Christmas last year and loved it (or at least were kind enough to tell me they did)!

hi and welcome to a brief explanation of my slime hybrid headcanons that absolutely nobody asked for [featuring charlie, mike, and jevin for examples]

[under the cut because it is very long and also includes pictures lol]

all slime hybrids have poor eyesight! this is because slimes evolved to live and thrive in caves and since it’s so dark they don’t really need their eyes anyway, so sight has gradually gotten worse over time. think like olms/cave salamanders. they use their other sense to get around without glasses

they can change the colour/texture/shape of any part of themselves at will as long as it’s something they’ve encountered before. so they could give their skin the look/feel of metal [though it’s not as strong as actual metal] if they wanted

[or, yk, they can use it to look like their partners ex for some passive aggressive torture]

some use that ^ to make it look like they have bones, since slimes don’t actually need bones to maintain their shape. this is usually done by hybrids that prefer to still look like slimes [like jevin] rather than ones that prefer to look more human-ish [like charlie or mike] for the aesthetic of it all, since they’re transparent. they do also sometimes just claim random dead bodies as their own, but that’s not common practice or technically considered ethical [plus actual bones dissolve over time]

on that note, slime hybrids don’t have to use their mouths to eat. they can just shove whatever they want to absorb into wherever they want on their bodies and it works fine. any that spend a lot of time around humans/non-slimes do use their mouths though, it’s only polite. also, does not have to be actual food, just something they can get energy or extra mass from [like when qslime spent all that time living on rotten flesh]

since they can shapeshift, slimes tend to have at least one “default” form that’s most comfortable for them to take/requires the least amount of energy to maintain. for some this is just a blob, but for others this could be more human-shaped, or even an animal. for example, charlie’s is humanoid but with some slime features showing through like patches of green skin/hair

[small changes like hair length, height, chest size, etc. or basically anything that doesn’t entirely change their look/take too much extra energy is still considered their “default” form. since my gegg design includes changed skin colour, hairstyle, glasses/eyes, whatever else, it’s a seperate form even if he’s still at least kinda recognisable as charlie]

when tired/emotional they tend to lose shape or become more slime-like if they’re usually more human-looking, like melting or changing back to their natural colour

they don’t have a rigid concept of a gender binary, so they’re generally fine with whatever people want to see them as. when communicating between each other slimes just use names, but some that live around humans might pick pronouns for themselves. they just as often don’t, though

okay this one’s a little silly but i think different colours have different flavours if you lick them. green is lime, blue is blue raspberry, pink is strawberry, yellow is piss lemon, etc.

also silly but they either hate being squished and stretched like actual slime or LOVE it it’s like stimming for them. put charlie in an industrial mixer with some biodegradable glitter he’s having the time of his life

Hi! I’ve been following this blog for a bit and I love that you are having a HH phase, bc same. Can I get a matchup for the event?

★Gender and pref: I’m a he/she and choose how I present myself based on the setting bc I’m not that open with ppl (yeah, I think it’s important to express yourself but realistically that won’t get me far in certain settings in my country); no gender pref but I’m not too fond of some writing choices when it comes to women in Viv’s works, depends on a character though

★Style: kinda rockstar gf vibe? Sometimes softer colours too

★Personality, hobbies: I’m social and extroverted. Usually that leaves me as a leader of whatever group I’m in. I have a little bit of a hater in me, but I don’t show it if ppl don’t encourage it. I do like when it’s being enabled though. It’s not convenient when you’re in a position where ppl ask you for opinions and actually follow your guide, yk, if I manage an event I’m not going to go around shit talking everything. It feels nice to have someone who does that though, makes it easier to join in and not feel like a jerk (or at least be jerks together I guess??). I write my own songs and am in a band as a backup vocal. Kinda proud that it’s my band but I need to get better until I step up as anything more. I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I like to tease ppl if given the opportunity. Others say I’m flirty. Bold with it at that. I’m ambitious too. Kind of a big thing but I have npd (if you want to look it up without reading scientific papers, go on tumblr, bc the rest of the internet is filled with ‘demonic narcissism’ bullshit) and it influences the way I am. I care lots about my image and don’t have a ton of empathy. I don’t go kicking puppies, but it’s noticeable how I lack in this department. Sometimes people say I’m ’too nice to have it’ cause i do well with kids and do all the youth group volunteering. Also, I do some martial arts and other sports. Kinda sceptical of romance at this point cause I had lots of it and I don’t mix well with a lot of people, but maybe I could do something serious for once if I had the right person. I try to be responsible and respectful but I have no issue finding my place at a wild party or something. I'm pretty chill in general, but I can be soft-er if I want, like with children or if the few ppl I actually am close with (I've got many friend groups but I struggle to make meaningful connections) need me. Usually I just stay my highly analytical, laid back self and say my silly little comments every once in a while. Heard I’m pretty funny if I want to be. My love language is acts of service. I like small things and I do them a lot. I can do words too, but I don't care for them in return. Like, you can be an asshole (up to a limit, I know my worth) and it’s cool with me if I see you have your ways of caring like putting on a song I like in the car

★My type: I like people who are more negative than me and aren't afraid to shittalk everything. Just saying whatever, not caring if they offend ppl (up to a point, some issues aren’t debatable ik). Don't really care for morality (to a certain point, again) if you're charismatic and fun to be around, I’m along for the ride and happy to support whatever you get yourself into. I think I would get along with someone who had a little npd too, I like to be able to relate to my partner a bit. If they work somewhat similarly, I don't have to struggle with understanding some stuff, bc I already know how to manage an ego or grandiose behavior. As for looks. Idk, I don’t have a set type. I think ppl that are bigger than me maybe? I’m pretty athletic so it’s not hard, but I guess that’s been a pattern? Also, I do enough of leading as is so in relationships, I don’t mind watching from the side and supporting whatever my partner is doing

you turn to your side after minutes of shuffling and trying to get comfortable. you come face-to-face with your boyfriend, goro. he seems sleepy, but refuses to fall asleep. you're confused, but bring a hand up to play with his hair. he seems to like it when you do.

"can't sleep?" you ask, voice soft. as if it was a secret meant just for you two.

"i don't want to," he answers, much more quieter. he sighs, and puts an arm around your head and one on your waist. he pulls you closer.

he's silent for a moment, and then opens his eyes. "i love you, so so much. i would do anything for you to be happy."

you bury your face in his neck, and goro breathes in your scent. he hugs you tighter, and hopes that this time, it's different. whichever god, entity, or demon is listening to him, he hopes that they let you stay. if they were to grant him his first and last wish, it would be you.
