We decided to go to Madeline’s house to see if she was there, we brought Winter with us in case. We’re still very confused as to what the virus is or how it effects people, let alone a cure. When we entered the house we were struck by a terrible sight, and the reason why Madeline hadn’t told us why her cat had bit her. Her cat, Hunter was skinny and vicious. His nails weren’t retracting, and bone was protruding from on open wound on the end of her tail. He ran from the house as soon as we approached him.

you could feel tiny kisses being placed on your face as you drifted off to sleep, all comfy in shawn’s arms

About your recent jjk meta, I agree Gojo is fighting more for himself than Megumi rn - but rather than the satisfaction coming from Gojo proving himself the strongest, I think the implication is that it's the fact that he's found himself an "equal" that he considers satisfying, it's his "loneliness" that's highlighted and satisfaction comes up only when he believes he might lose. After all, that was his goal in raising strong students, he wanted to not feel alone as the strongest.

You make a valid point anon, I was of two minds about what Gojo's satifsaction is coming from. I wanted to give Gojo the benefit of the doubt and assume he's fighting to win because if he doesn't win this match it's his students lives that are on the line. However, it's equally as possible that Gojo's just satisfied with the fact he finally has a challenger. He even tells Sukuna right away that "he's the challenger."

In Gojo's mind he's not fighting against the strongest sorcerer in history to prove himself. Sukuna is fighting to dethrone Gojo from his position as the strongest sorcerer in modern day. The manga deliberately leaves it ambiguous what the source of his fulfillment is though, "being the strongest sorcerer came with a sense of isolation so the source of his presence since of fulfillment was..."

Another thread pointed out this similarity between Gojo and Sukuna's battle, and Netero and Meruem's battle before I got to it.

HUNTER X HUNTER AND JJK PARALLELS UNDER THE CUT:

However that twitter mainly looks at it from a fight mechanics and layout angle, whereas in my mind the biggest parallel between the two fights is that Gojo and Sukuna's fight is also to show off how close to Sukuna's thinking Gojo really is, despite the fact that Gojo is you know, an idealistic person who wants to reform Jujutsu Society as a whole the fact that he sits in the position of the strongest and the isolation that comes from that position makes him behave like Sukuna in a lot of ways. Albeit a Sukuna with principals.

I might have been giving Gojo too much credit though in assuming he's thinking "this is a situation where I absolutely have to win and save everyone" because the battle itself reminds me a lot of the battle between Netero and Mereum in Hunter x Hunter. A battle where despite the fact Netero was fighting against the Chimera Ant Leader to stop their invasion and save lives they ended up treating it more like a game of Shogi (the HXH version) and forgetting the lives they were supposed to be fighting for.

We agree anon that Gojo at this point is not fighting for Megumi. Megumi is on the back burner after everything else, and he's chasing a personal satisfaction in this fight. Where that satisfaction comes form is debatable because the narrative left it ambiguous. However, I think it says a lot about Gojo's character that at a time like this he's looking for personal fulfillment in a fight with what's on the line.

To explain the context of these Netero vs Meruem parallels the CHimera Ant Arc happens when a Chimera Ant washes up on shore and starts eating humans. Obviously they send hunters in to kill her, but then she starts giving birth to an all new fledgling species. The chimera ants are aggressive of course and start hunting other humans but they're also... sentient. They have thoughts and feelings. All of them are basically newborns too in an alien world so it's understandable they wouldn't get things like empathy and laws.

The purpose of this entire arc is to show that humanity's reaction to an not-human but still sentient species can make them come off as just as inhuman as the inhuman monsters they're fighting against. No more is this exemplified in Netero vs Meruem.

By the time the Mereum fight happens, Meruem has slowly been learning a sense of empathy through his interactions with a weak girl named Komugi who despite being blind and unable to fend for herself is able to beat him at a board game called Gungi over and over again. Which disproves Meruem's darwinian ideas of survival of the fittest because a girl he'd dismiss as weak is able to best him again and again and he sees value in his perosnal connection to her.

Meruem is also like a newborn infant, albeit one born with the brain of an adult. He's been alive for like a week and he's already starting to learn things like kindness and compassion through his interaction with one girl who earned his respect and that's making him slowly change how he treats his subordinates and even making him consider the potential in humans he looked down on.

Then in struts Netero to challenge him to a fight and kill him before he ever gets that chance to grow. The moral ambiguity here is that Netero is a person despite ostensibly being on the side of the hunter's association who are the default "good guys" that the main characters are on, he's not really that good of a person.

Characters like him, Ging, and Pariston may seem like they're heroic in nature because they're strong adventurous and capable of great feats but at the same time they're really only out for their own personal satisfaction. Ging's probably the best example because he's the greatest adventurer ever but he could not give less of a shit about the feelings of the son he abandoned. Netero's the strongest hunter, he's a well-respected adventurer fighting on Gon's side but that doesn't necessarily make him a good person.

When Meruem and Netero both treat this life or death battle like it's a Gungi game, it's supposed to parallel Netero to Meruem but Netero comes off looking worse. Meruem is a newborn basically who's slowly learning empathy because you're not born with it you're taught with it through your interactions with others. Netero is a grown man, who should have some sense of empathy but he's not really fighting for his comrades here he's fighting for his own personal satisfaction of winning the "game."

Netero is not set up to look like the good guy here, which is why his final action is, which is essentially to set off a nuke.

Nuclear weapons are an incredibly heavy topic in Japan, and so to associate the actions of Netero detonating a bomb that not only creates whats essentially a mushroom cloud, completely vaporizes his opponent and then poisons the land for generations to come it's a pretty clear way to show the immorality of his actions.

Netero commits one of the most inhumane war crimes in existence, we're not really supposed to see him as the good guy here, especially in a japanese work.

I'm not saying that Gojo is going to set off a nuke, just the purpose of the fight it's paralleling in Hunter x Hunter was to show off the humanity vs inhumanity of both participants in the fight and also the selfishness of Netero himself treating this like a game to be won when real people's lives are on the line and his decision (firing off the nuke) will affect real people for generations to come. The egocentrism of one individual who holds that much power and follows a might vs right mindset vs. a being like Meruem who is beginning to value weak people through his connection with Komugi and therefore overturning his survival of the fittest and strong vs weak thinking.

However this time we're not saying the Sukuna is more human than Gojo (the chimera ant arc ending with Netero being inhuman) but rather than Gojo is equally as inhuman as Sukuna. They're playing a game to win the special boy cup (feeling fulfilled in a fight for once / being declared as the strongest). What exactly makes them fulfilled is ambiguous but they both really only care about personal fulfillment in this fight everything else is secondary yes even for Gojo.

Gojo is, again coming off like a more principled version of Sukuna here. He's not wielding his power like a tyrant to kill whoever he wants but at the same time he has all of Sukuna's egoism and he's displaying the same egocentrism. Gojo's pigeonhold himself into the same role of being "the strongest" as Sukuna has and because of it not only do his personal relationships suffer but his priorities are schewed right now. At a time where he should be prioritizing Megumi the person he's responsible for and you know his ideals of protecting children he's chasing the thrill in a fight instead. Because that's what Gojo knows. That's who he is.

Gojo hasn't escaped from his conceptualization of himself as the strongest and hasn't really tried to build an identity outside of it, and being boxed didn't really change much about him or the way he sees himself or approaching things. If anything he's doubling down.

Geto's line to Gojo during their KFC breakup still rings true.

To be fair to Gojo he did ask Utahime and some other guy for help with the opening blow, but he's essentially fighting the same way he did in Shibuya all alone. Like, what can better illsutrate this point then the fact that Gojo is fighting alone and literally every other character in the manga is just sitting in the peanut gallery watching the fight on television like it's a boxing match.

Gojo's in his element when he's still alone still rings true. Every single other character in the manga is still just lying on Gojo because he's "the strongest" and not really understanding who he is or seeing him as a person. I emphasize again they're literally just sitting there watching the match on TV. Gojo's character or conceptualization of himself hasn't really evolved being being "the strongest" and a character staying stagnant in a narrative is never a good thing.

robots are VERY common. invented by a group of scientists with the main ones being donella and ulla

robots are used as service etc etc. theyre not sentient at all so this isnt like. some unethical practice

but ulla and donella are OBSESSED with making them more and more advanced, theyre besties and all that. but ulla is Particularly obsessed with making the Perfect Robot

we know that ulla is kind of messed up in the head. in this au she kind of messes way too much with robot sentience WHILE ALSO getting obsessed with the eternal library. same stuff happens eventually. donella and ulla fight about the eternal library etc etc

BUT ALSO... ulla is working on her Magnum Opus. a son for her and her husband, who she is making to be the perfect robot. quirin is unaware of the shit shes doing and fully trusts her and supports this passion project

and well! she does make the first Sentient Robot. with the use of science and Magical Knowledge she was able to basically give life force through magical means into the robot. The robot of course she named varian. and not only is he sentient, but he looks completely human

she did some messed up stuff tho! again! she's programmed him with fake memories so he thinks he has lived a life fully as a human. he's also programmed to not notice things like the small seams on his body and all that. like his code just immediately disregards all that

anywaysss. after ulla disappears, quirin is dedicated to taking care of varian. he figures it's best to follow with ulla's choice of making sure varian doesnt know hes a robot

MEANWHILE ! because of the schism between ulla and donella, there was some wack shit that happened. namely robots going completely crazy. now all robots are Murder Robots. so the world is pretty Dystopian at the moment

Varian decides he wants to go out and find the source of what made the robots go crazy. bc this sucks lol. like everyone is Just Miserable

LETS TALK ABOUT HUGO

hugo works for donella. hugo also absolutely HATES robots. the robots have been messing shit up since he was a kiddo

he's kind of like a robot hunter. harvesting them for parts as well as getting rid of them bc theyre dangerous. usually donella directs him to different missions. and now shes telling him to join this guy (varian) bc she wants the secrets that ulla had hidden and varian is sure as hell after them

sooooo at one point. varian gets hurt maybe, or interacts with something that breaks the code in him or whatever. the code that stops him from noticing his robotic qualities. i think he probably would get super injured and like. he and all his friends stare in shock and horror as some sort of gash or sparks or whatever show a metallic inside

they all find out he's a robot together weeeee. no one is having a good time

so he's living with existential crisis. he's away from his dad so he cant travel all the way back to be like hey What The Fuck. AND he's still dedicated to his goal. but now he's just. confused, scared, and unsure if he's worthy of his humanity that he thought he had

they all try to work with this new discovery (which i think would happen earlier on rather than way later). hugo especially is like. having a crisis. bc he's always hated robots and for good reason. but varian... varian is SO human. he thinks, he feels, he cares, etc. he's more Human than a lot of the Flesh and Blood people he's been around

so you know, hugo starts to fall in love with him anyway. lots of excellent scenes of him helping varian with his mechanics, etc

and of course varian starts falling in love with him too, but is dealing with a lot of confusion as well. like is he even real, doesnt hugo deserve to be loved by a Human and not a Robot, etc etc

So, Ponk needs to leave, and Sam is the only one who can watch Dream while he’s gone. There’s absolutely nothing that could go wrong with this plan, and Dream just needs to somehow convince Ranboo and Punz of that. He’s really not having much luck.

Ponk asked several times to make sure Dream was... well comfortable was a hell of an ask, but at the very least sure in his choice to let Sam watch over him.

The two of them managed to figure out the terms of what Sam could be told. Dream assented to Sam being told that he was having temporary balance and hearing issues related to the Warden’s sonic attack. It’s important to Dream that Ponk stress that this is all temporary. And that Dream is still capable of doing stuff himself if he needed to, it’s just that Ponk couldn’t ethically leave him alone as a doctor.

Ponk agrees to all of that, and tastefully doesn’t point out that there are risks of long term damage, and that Dream absolutely could not be left alone without the risk of that long term damage increasing.

Sam’s job will just be bringing specific food (no more soup, only things that Dream can eat on his own, and from a specific list of rabbit safe items which pointedly does not include potatoes) help with Dream getting over to the bathroom for at least a few days, and help administer the ear drops.

Ponk also gives Dream like three knives with special handles just in case, because like, yeah good mobility is great but a sharp knife swung wildly will still do a hell of a lot of damage to someone whose unarmored, which is a requirement for Sam to be anywhere near Ponk’s house. Sam has been told there are safeguards in place, but not given any more details to prevent attempts to circumvent them.

Ponk himself has heavily mixed feelings, but it’s the only real option they have since the only other person staying behind that he could even think to ask is Punz, and Ponk is sure that Punz would sell Dream out. He already did it once, clearly he’d do it again. Sam hasn’t sold Dream out despite already knowing where he is and at the very least that he wasn’t in great condition, so despite his apprehensions, Ponk makes the call to leave helping Dream up to him.

 Ponk tells the rest of the server that he’s getting packed up to leave, and that Sam will be staying at his house to recover safely. Nobody should bother him since he needs lots of rest and is nervous about having other people around while his vision is still healing. Message ahead if they need to visit.

Ponk leaves that evening, hoping everything will be okay when he gets back. If nothing else, he’s got a special upgrade for his communicator that will allow for check ins every so often.

Meanwhile, Dream sits and stares at his communicator for about half an hour, trying to decide how to break the news to Punz and Ranboo who heard about Ponk going on the trip and were making suggestions for plans.

He considers lying, he really does, but if he says he’s unsupervised then they’ll want to come by and discover his lie.

So he decides to just say fuck it.

“slight change of plans. ponk has to go to the raid. cant really walk rn, or balance. will be better soon. sam already knew and on truce bc of hunters, offered to help while ponk has to leave. should only be for a week. safeguards in place. everything should be back to normal in two weeks. will resume contact at that point.”

He really wanted to just leave it there and refuse to respond to messages after that, but he knew that was liable to end very poorly.

It took about 10 seconds for punz to reply, followed directly by Ranboo.

“absolutely not.”

Dream started trying to type out a response, only for Punz to cut him off.

“i’m coming to get you.”

Fuck, no, they absolutely could not do this. Dream was fine. Nothing was going to go wrong.

“dont you dare, it’s fine, there’s safeguards and we’re on truce because of the hunter’s involvement. i won’t let him do anything. ponk gave me weapons and a few special potions. it’s totally under control. i did not go through pandora just for you to ruin your cover now.”

It was a low blow, but hopefully one that would get Punz to listen.

There was a long, long pause. Finally, Punz replied.

“you check in every day, twice a day. if you miss either check in, ranboo kills him and we get you to safety.”

Okay, thank god, Dream could work with this. He almost agreed right away, before pausing to consider feasibility.

“if i miss a checkin, ranboo can check my room at ponks. im sleeping a lot and tracking time is hard right now. theres no reason for me to be out of the room without checkin though. if one of you can sneak a tracker in here, i can stick it on my comm if that’ll convince you. if anything goes wrong, ill send a message for help.”

The message for help would be going to Foolish, not them, but Dream didn’t need to clarify that. It was a valid technicality. There was another pause, before finally he got the response he was hoping for.

“fine. ill drop off a tracker in a bit.”

A beat, and then another text followed.

“please be safe.”

It left a lump in Dream’s throat, it made all the anxiety about Sam being anywhere near him, let alone in charge of bringing him food and fuck, his knife wasn’t enough, this was such a stupid fucking idea-

For one singular, terrible moment, Dream almost caved. He reached out, wanting to send a message asking for Punz to come get him. To get him somewhere safe and far away from Sam, because he couldn’t do this again.

But his hands were shaking too much to type. Whether from his most recent damage or that from the prison, he couldn’t tell, but it reminded him of how much he’d already given up. He’d done so much to get to this point. He couldn’t waste everything now. It would be worth it in the end. When things were okay again.

He bit down the urge to ask for help like a child and instead focused on the rational. The logical. If Sam wanted to take him back to the prison or hurt him, he would’ve just called Quackity from the start. Not Ponk. He would’ve just told the server where Dream was before a bunch of people left.

Clearly, Sam felt indebted and like taking advantage of something the hunters had caused was unfair. Dream could use that for now, and once he was well enough to run, he would do so and then things would go back to exactly how they were before. Both of them could forget that anything ever happened here. It was invalid. Struck from the record.

So he took a deep breath and got himself under control. After a moment, he managed to steady his hands enough to type.

“i’ll be fine.“

With that, he shut off his communicator and flopped back on the bed. Exhausted as he repeated that one little phrase over and over again in his head, hoping to find a way to make it stop tasting like a lie.

Ok first off, I’m gonna try to keep this somewhat short since I have WAY too many of these uh…

Literally longer than my longfic rn 🫠. And this is discounting ones just floating elsewhere (and about 99% (heh. ow.) of it is angst) so I’m just gonna pick three happier headcanons for the Batch. Which are still very, very long 😅

1. Cooking

Tech cannot cook. He reads the recipe, he will follow it to the T, but for reasons he can absolutely never understand (substituting ingredients for things that would work in theory but very much so do not), what he ends up with is dubious at best and dangerous at worst. (Never let Tech near a microwave. Ever. He will get ideas)

Hunter thinks he can cook. He knows how to make packaged meals and simple stuff like that, but he cannot cook. Omega would absolutely never ask him to cook because no one wants the space equivalent of a plain baloney sandwich for every meal of the day.

Wrecker can cook, he just doesn’t like to. You’re telling me I have to spend two hours putting these ingredients together for a meal when I could just eat them as is? He doesn’t see the point of making sides or extra stuff instead of just making the food edible as soon as possible. (Not to say that he doesn’t like all the extra stuff, he just would pretty much never spend the time to make it himself)

Crosshair could cook. If he wanted to. He does not.

And ofc Echo can cook, his very first shore leave he went out to buy cooking tools and sat with Tech to modify them into scomp attachments. He learned since he’s always been a picky eater and just liked something other than ration bars most of the time. But also since he’s a picky eater, a lot of the times he’ll cook for the batch and make something completely separate for himself. And maybe for Omega. Cause she wanted space mac n cheese too. (am i projecting here MAYBE MAYBE LISTEN— i could go on abt my autistic/picky eater echo headcanons (100% self-inserts) all day but that’s for another post lol)

2. Sleeping

Tech sleeps like a cartoon character, ass directly in the air with his pillow all fluffed under his head.

Wrecker sleeps completely starfished on his back snoring louder than one would think possible.

Crosshair sleeps like the dead, arms directly at his sides and he wakes up the exact same way, just opening his eyes and slowly levering up to sitting like a mummy or something.

Hunter sleeps like a normal person (lol), but he has big sound canceling headphones since his senses would never let him sleep with Wreckers snoring.

Echo doesn’t like sleeping, but when he does, he sleeps curled as tightly as possible with his back to the wall. Eventually the batch get him a weighted blanket and Tech makes him a heated mattress, but he still never likes sleeping :)

Tech isn’t usually one to swear anyway, so it’s not difficult for him to just not when Omega is around.

Wrecker would make up fun replacements like cheese and crackers or H E double hockey sticks-type things.

Hunter would try his best, but he would get like halfway through before he changes it like “Holy shiiiiiiiitaké” yknow?

I’m a bit undecided on Crosshair, he would either act all cold and tough but absolutely never swear around Omega and flick toothpicks at whoever accidentally does, or he just wouldn’t care. Fully like “Fuck you, dipshit,” and Hunter would just glare at him until Cross fixes himself like “Sorry, sorry, I meant asshole.”

And Echo would be the one enforcing the rule. He’s the one glaring at Hunter when he accidentally slips up and starts to swear, he would cover Omegas ears when there’s people at Cid’s, he’s just the mom.

However. He’s an arc trooper. He was in Anakin’s battalion, he’s Fives’ twin, and he straight up says “What the hell,” within the first few minutes we meet him. Omega knows more curse words than the average pirate, but she has no idea that’s what they are because every time Echo swears around her, it goes like this:

Echo: *long string of botched mando’a swears*

Omega: *repeats them*? What’s that mean?

Echo (immediately blushing and freaking out): Nothing, nothing! It’s super boring, it just means… uh…….. socks…

And Omega would never know until she repeats it to one of the others and they all just turn to glare at Echo as he desperately tries to melt into the floor.

Steve leaves it up to Bucky whether or not he wants Daddy to join him in the shower but me thinks that baby would never say no to the chance of feeling those big, warm, comforting hands all over his body.

A pair of briefs, Steve's oversized volleyball league hoodie, some warm socks, Daddy ignores Bucky's huffs as he scoops him up and carries him right to the couch, Bucky looking too precious to not baby in this moment.

The soup is to die for, is warm and flavorful and feels like a hug from Steve's mom which feels like even more comfort. They sit on the couch and eat big bowls of it with some bread and big glasses of water.

Of course they watch a comfort show, Steve choosing Great British Baking Show or Antiques Roadshow or House Hunters. Steve wraps Buck up in a big blanket, snuggles him close to his chest as he lays him out on their couch.

"You wanna talk about today, what had you feelin' so down?" Steve would ask, but Bucky is already feeling like the day is far behind him, the weight of it already released with the help of his doting partner.

"I'm always here to listen, sugar. You know that." Steve would remind him but he's already drifting to sleep, eyelids heavy, nuzzling his cheek into Steve's chest as he whispers, "Mmm, love you..."

Yeah throughout Spearmasters campaign we get a shit ton of broadcasts between Sigs and Suns, Suns coming over to Sigs searching for support and all that jazz. Being defiant and such is mentioned to be a common trait for new iterators, it being referred to as a phase. Pebbles just happens to be quite more driven to be independent not wanting to be told what to do.

This trait is why Pebbles works with Suns in the first place because Suns - in sliverist groups- is the one asking the big questions no one wants to talk about such as "is it truly wrong to break the self destruction taboo" which probably was appealing to Pebbles to follow behind the footsteps of an older iterator who had similar ideals and researching into something Pebbles would want to sink his teeth into to be independent from what every other sliverist was thinking. Hell even his local group dissed on him because once again- sliverist despite wanting to follow SOS still held the taboo higher than actually trying to figure out SOS solution

Anyways yeah with this in mind I reckon Pebbles would heavily look up to Suns, worship not being the word I'd use but certainly I don't think Pebbles would go against Suns- he only does when confronted about his mistakes which he admits later on he only did it out of shame.

Sooo I won't lie there is some sort of tone with Suns being held so highly- despite there not being much evidence I would love to see Suns city and see if it is bigger than other iterators ect

So we've got a time travel au now, but how about a body swap au? (Which somehow makes even less sense than time travel imo but shhhh don't worry about it)

I'm imagining captive Kane waking up in Jim's body, SO confused. He sees himself in the mirror and puts together what has happened. Despite the strange circumstances, he's relieved to be free of pain for the first time in so long but as he thinks about it he realizes, "if I'm here... then that must mean that Jim is...... oh no."

And Jim wakes up on a cold, hard floor, in a world of pain, and since he has no point of reference it takes him a moment to realize where he is and whose body he's in. And by that point the hunters would arrive to have their fun and Jim has to try to convince them that he's human. he swears. He's not supposed to be here!!

Would Kane try to find a way to save Jim? But how can he without contacting the hunters who tortured him? He'd be terrified.. He can't go home either, because he's not currently a vampire and would get eaten alive in vampire territory.

THIS IS GREAT. i have imagined "what if bodyswap au" before, but i've always imagined it in arc 3, present day. i've never even CONSIDERED a bodyswap during arc 2. this is genius.

oh, poor jim, the unluckiest man in the world.

kane would absolutely do everything in his power to save jim. the first problem would be finding him. kane doesn't know where the compound is. is prob able to find liz's phone number written down somewhere and call her for help. when liz first hears what kane has to say, she initially thinks jim is just having some kind of bizarre mental breakdown, but it becomes quickly apparent this is not the case. liz is horrified. immediately starts working on getting jim out of there, which is fairly easy for her to do. kane doesn’t even have to go. liz picks him up. kane is completely horrified to learn liz is a hunter, also. liz seeing kane in jim’s body recoil from her in fear makes her... really sad. she knows it’s kane, who she HATES WITH BURNING PASSION, but he just looks like jim.

jim is so incredibly confused and scared. he wakes up in an incredible amount of pain, and trying to explain himself just gets him hurt more. not to mention the fact that he’s unused to a vampire body, especially a starving vampire body. the sensation of total starvation is unlike anything he’s ever felt before. vampires also have much better senses than humans: the lights are too bright, the sounds are too loud, and he can smell everything. especially blood. jim isn’t used to having to restrain himself. gives into instinct and lunges at the first human he sees, and is punished severely with time in the sun for it, the worst pain he’s ever felt by a longshot.

liz manages to rescue him up pretty soon after this, and jim can’t even see or speak or move he’s so burnt. he can’t even really feed. liz pries his mouth open and drips as much of her own blood as she can into there. jim is clinging to her for dear life. liz is crying while assuring him “everything’s going to be okay, i’m here, i’ve got you.”

kane’s got... problems adjusting to being in a human body as well, despite how relieved he is to not be in pain- aside from the dull pain that never leaves his neck. he sees worse (can’t even see in the dark!), hears worse, and can barely smell anything. he’s still terrified of sunlight even though it won’t hurt him anymore. and humans have to eat so OFTEN. two or three times a day AND have to drink water. and so many options to pick from!!! he’s just glad he gets to eat again after years of starvation.

jim recovers within 2 days, being fed blood and all. once he’s brought back home, kane feeds him too. jim & liz keep kane. can’t exactly let him go running off in jim’s body, and kane’s too afraid to leave the house anyway. once jim is healed, the being-unused-to-body thing only gets worse. he’s so strong and so fast. keeps breaking things and running into walls. after that first day, he absolutely refuses to feed on liz. kane readily offers himself for feeding, teaches jim how to do it properly. this is the weirdest thing in the world to jim. feeding on kane in his own body.

Rewatching GG has made me appreciate it so much more (the Episode Guide is almost done*, I just need to edit it because it's a bit messy), and knowing there won't be another Digimon anime for a good while again (aside from the Zero Two movie but I'm not watching it)... It's bitter sweet. We finally get plot, but at the cost of the series ending. It's been a fun, unique ride though, and I'm grateful for it

*I mean it won't be 100% completed until the final episode airs but I'll post it early so if anybody wants to rewatch some highlights, it'll be easier for them to find the right episodes

also i know absolutely NOTHING about cowboys or westerns like. would cowboys bring a change of clothes. also did wild west cowboys like. actually herd cattle or were they just vibing and stole the name. also when is a lasso used. also do their horses get tied up when they're traveling or do they just vibe eating grass and the cowboys trust them to come back. wait there's not even grass in the southwest. i do not understand this genre it's so wild

"Sooo.you going to the Halloween ball?" I look at the voice to see epel. "No, I wasn't really planning to going if I want asked"

" Well wanna go with me?" He asked shyly. "W..well we could go as friends if you'll like!" He add/blurts out causing the class to look at us.

"OK,OK I'll go with you, keep you're voice down" I laugh. "Will I be picking you up or...do I meet you there?" The lavander haired whispered. "Uhh... meet you there" I whisper back.

He nods and continues listening to the lesson with a red face, wich for a fact didn't go unnoticed by a certain hunter.

Epel pov:

"Rook please leave me alone..." I sigh. "Oh no,... non amour I must find out what made you so Chery in lecture!"

I roll my eyes " fine...I.. May or May not asked y/n to the masquerade!" Rook gasps before a massive smile "we must tell roi de Poison!" NO!"

It was already too late the little French man ran off to the sparkly jealousy issued queen. I groan and sit on the stairs next to me.

I kept my head hung below my knees.

Third person pov:

"You ok there epel?" The voice belonged to the female who stood next to the sulking male. She sat next to him eating a cupcake. Eoel lifted his head "no..rook is ganna tell vil I asked you to the ball thing before I could mention if you wanted to go as friends..."

She nods biting into the cupcake. ' where they ever this good at baking here?'

"Want a peice?" She asked holding up the cake cuped in her hands. He only nodded and pulled of a peice with frosting "I guess the word wil let 'round quickly..." the duo said in unison.

Y/n pulled a nother cupcake from its boxing and handed it to him. "I have to go before ace and Deuce kill eachother" he only nods biting into his cake.

"Uh...you have a little something..." she pointed at her nose. "OH gah shit" he muttered rubbing his nose with his sleeve. " I wish you luck with vil!" She chimed running up the stairs quicker then sonic.

"Vil, please calm down!" Epel yells as the fashion icon kept running around trying to arrange a good costume. "Absolutely not!, you're going to the Halloween ball with a girl! You must have matching costumes" the lavander only rolled his eyes and layed his head on the dressing table.

A bowl cut frenchman decides to join in vils little fantasy and whispered a important detail in his ear: y/n l/n halloween costume.

Amd within a matter of minuets vil had the farmers costume ready to be steamed. "Oh epel! You have to see the outfit roi de Poison chose!" Hesitantly he rose his head remembering all the embarrassing outfits they put him in before

Epels eyes widen at the sight of the outfit. Nothing poofs, a decent suit with a cape. "Soo..what do you think??" Vil smiled. "I'll wear it."

Epel stood timidly at a party and help a elegant glass cup In his hand. Themusic wasn't his kind of taste. It was slow and romantic while epel had grew up adjusted to country and barn music.

"Oh epel, this isn't you're first party we've had many at Pomefiore, go out there and dance, or... are you waiting for someone" Rook teases taking epels glass. "I saw her entering the main campus a few miunets ago, she's dressed very,very, well~" and with that Rook disappeared into the flashing light of the hall.

"Who's that?" A voice asked "I think that's Ramshackles vice president" a nother whispered. "She's so pretty"

On the other side was you shyly entering the ballroom dressed all elegent. A lovely white dress decorated with grey stars sleeves fell off the sholders. Hair was curled/kept natural and was neatly tied back. Start earing connected to a smaller pair fell past her jawline and near the crevasse of the neck

Y/n wiped her sweaty hands in her dress before scanning the crowd for the lavander date. Her eyes lock ones with a purple pair and y/n let out a sigh of relief . She walked down the stairs quickly and hasted towards the male.

A few steps away she stops in awe "Were matching" she smiles. Epel smiles too "I wasn't my idea to be fair but I hadn't even knew what you were going as" he laughed. Y/n let out a laugh too. Now that epel had a close up he could see all the amazing detail and sparkling in her hair caught his attention.

Hair pins he had saved up most the year to give to her. "You wore them" he whispered stepping forward and reaching his hand out "mhm, I though it would look nice and match" she laughed.

Epel hugged her tightly," would you care for a dance l, though I'm sure neither of us would be great dancers" y/n smiled and nodded.

"Alright, my phantom"

I don't feel like I can draw rn but I have ideas rattling in my brain so. Gonna talk about Shatterverse versions of my ocs

I think Ruby and the twins would be the only ones to be involved as they're the most likely to be near the epicenter of the Prism shattering. Edna, Eli, and Nox would probably be elsewhere. All of the Shatterspaces revolve around and feature the characters that were actually physically there in Green Hill when Sonic broke everything, so yeah they'd probably be the only ones. Also if I tried to make more au versions of my characters I might just spontaneously combust it's just too much for my brain to keep track of rn.

Anyways lets start with New Yoke.

I already drew what New Yoke Ruby looks like. I didn't know what to name them but I think I'm gonna go with Rue. I already call them that sometimes as a nickname and the word itself means sorrow or regret so it's fitting. They're basically like Prime Ruby but ten thousand times worse. They were used by the council as a lab rat to test the effects of Dark Gaia Energy on people for some kind of project, but that never got anywhere as Rue uh. Got rid of anyone involved. By smashing their skulls on the floor and tearing them apart limb from limb. The council no longer employs living people probably because of them. They're very traumatized but refuse to get help and their coping methods are absolutely terrible. Not like they'd be able to get any good help in a literal dystopia. They're on the run from the council along with this world's versions of Melany and Max (which i don't have names for yet because I'm bad at names. I also need to draw them. I'll get to that eventually).

The twins don't exactly fare much better. While Prime Melany is sweet but mischievous, New Yoke Melany is downright malicious towards others while putting up a smile. Prime Max doesn't speak much and usually lets Melany do the talking, but still holds up on his own, while New Yoke Max is completely silent and hides in his sister's shadow. They have the same powers as their Prime versions too, but here it makes them a target, so they're always on the run from the council along with Rue. They're warped versions of the originals, taking on bitter personas in response to a world and the broken souls around them.

They're not all bad tho. The twins took Rue in when she was at her worst, and they still consider each other family. Not even the shattering of the universe could tear them apart :)

Now onto the Boscage Maze Shatterverse. This one's a little less depressing I think. Maybe.

Anyways this version of Ruby is a monster trapped in a deep part of the jungle who is infected by, you guessed it, Dark Gaia Energy, which has been festering under the darkness of the canopy. I'm calling her Camellia because red flowers. The Dark Gaia Energy here manifests into the usual monster mutations but also into weird glowy flowers growing on her body and on plants and such. I keep imagining her dialogue being similar to Midwife's from Hollow Knight. Like "I know, I know. You're intrigued. You want to know the tale. Well I'm sorry. I'd love to tell it, but I'm just, I'm very, very sorry, and I haven't eaten in some time......... and oh, I'm STAAAARVING........" She tries to eat Sonic on their first encounter.

The twins I think would just be called The Hunters. They watch over the area Camellia's in, but haven't been able to get a good catch because of Thorn vehemently protecting the animals of the jungle that was their main source of food. Which is why Camie is hungry and losing it. The Hunters may or may not be losing it because of hunger too. Also they know the Dark Gaia Energy is growing more potent the more the jungle grows, so they try to keep it contained, which is getting harder as Thorn blocks out more sunlight.

Alright now finally. No Place Shatterspace versions. This one was probably the hardest one for me to come up with alternate versions of my ocs for. I don't really think about pirate stuff that much? So uh. I tried lmao.

Ok this version of Ruby would be called uhhh. I have no clue I'll probably think of one later. Anyway they're ALSO afflicted by Dark Gaia Energy of course, cursed with it a long time ago which turned them into a sea monster of sorts because that's how it manifests in this world. They're a little bit like a siren, their howl-like singing attracting sailors, but instead of bringing them in to drown them and possibly eat them, they lure them in so the twins can steal their treasures.

The twins (which I also don't know what to name please help me) are a pair of pirates that hunt myths and monsters and, of course, other people's treasure. Besides the thievery they're actually pretty nice, if only a bit creepy because their ship is kinda haunted and they're friends with a wolf sea monster thing. These three versions are probably the happiest all things considered. They have a jolly ol' time stealing shit from people and hunting ghosts and other monsters and singing songs and having fun!

I believe we've yet to see one of the Shatterspaces, as each one has a shard of the prism and we haven't seen where the yellow one is (unless it's in The Grim, but I don't think that's the case because the portal color doesn't match and there's an event in Sonic Dash that shows another round purple shard that is more likely to be in there. So yeah.) I'll probably make versions of my ocs for that Shatterspace too when the next few episodes come out. If there's a new Shatterspace revealed. God I hope there will be.

Anyways I should probably go to bed now I'm tired goodnight
