she's not at all shocked that brinna also doesn't feel all that much attachment to their home galaxy, she's sure na'rena would also agree with them on that sentiment. you can't expect a bunch of people who never had a physical home to be sad at being dislocated. "do you? can i ask how you ended up with a human son? i get it if it's too personal, i just... would love to hear how that happened." because really, he'd never even heard of a non human creature that wasn't an angel or one of the hellborn, and pearl certainly wasn't either of those things. so a non human creature somehow having a human son is something he is admittedly curious about. "it does seem like calling it social media is a bit of a stretch if you don't know anything about the people you're interacting with on it. i think i'd really only care about the ones i can actually see people i know." he's sure the hotel has accounts on some of those platforms, as well as charlie and her friends, which is really all he cares about in terms of spending time on his phone. "i might look into some. i didn't really... do much, recently. like i said, the entertainment back home is rough, but maybe the humans have something more to my taste now that i can actually look into all of it. what about you? what do you do in your free time?"

"it's probably easier that way. i have ah- well i suppose a human son would be the most simple way to state it, so i've had to pick up on quite a few things in the past decade or so, which is barely enough time to understand these sorts of things." pearl said with a shake of her head. she wished she had had a little more time to prepare, though realistically that would have been impossible, as she would have fought rose endlessly on her decision. "some seem more oriented on actually keeping up with your friends or family while others have the potential for a wider audience i think. at least the videos i've seen are never from anyone i know, which does sound like they shouldn't be classified as a social media in that case, though i doubt people particularly care about the classification of these apps or websites." which was difficult for pearl, as someone who tended to love classification and organization. "well, i've found there's a surprisingly large amount of potential entertainment here, and while a lot of it is shallow or confusing some can be enjoyable. the physical activities humans have come up with are rather nice, and they've got classes for just about anything you could have an interest in learning, though i find it's good to approach with some caution since human intelligence can be limited."
