*Minor Spoilers* I can imagine a lot of people seeing the "Nursing Home AU" tag and skipping this, expecting it to be sad or not to their tastes. But this is so wonderful! Please give this story a shot! This buoyed my mood so much more than I expected, and (to overuse my favorite phrase) my only complaint is that it's not a million words long. It's silly and sappy, and oh so sweet.

The story is told through Pepper's perspective. She is a nurse at the long-term care home Whickber House and has a soft spot for mischievous resident Crowley. Her observations are delightful, making me smile over Crowley's pranks, and overflowing my heart with affection as he shows her the stars. Things start to settle for Crowley once he meets his new neighbor Aziraphale. We aren't treated to their perspective, which I would eat up in a heartbeat, but the changes are clear to Pepper, and their chemistry shines so brightly even from a distance. They'll always be soulmates, even in timelines where it takes them a little longer to find each other.

Completely safe in public, though it will make your heart swell with fluff and put a smile on your face, I guarantee it. If there was ever to be more in this universe, I would be first in line.

Where they take you out on dates🤗

Mind y'all. This takes place after you remove everyone from the Pizzaplex.

Freddy: For him, every day's a date. But if he had to take you somewhere it would be dinner. The man's a gentleman. And while he can't cook for shit, he'll make it up with a classy dinner. Finds some random suit, puts on his bowtie and hat, and walks you to some fancy (and probably expensive) restaurant he found online. (Although in the end, you end up paying the bill) The park would be the other option.

Chica: Amusement Park or Carnival. Will try every food stand. Then coax you to go on a ride. (Girl don't know how human stomachs work 😭) "Let's go on that one!" *points at the tallest rollercoaster* (Oh god no) If you don't feel well or too scared of going on the rides, you'll go play the games. Somehow beats the carnie's rigged games. "Got you something~" Pulls out the biggest, most knock-off plushie there was and hands it to you. It's in your room now.

Monty: Club. Alright, who told him what a club was? Man's all for it. Starts to dance to the music on the floor. You lose him in the crowd. Until finally, you find him at the bar (no not drinking since he realizes he can't get drunk) just lounging. Eventually, you go home. If you're not into clubbing, it'll either be mini golf (OBVI) or just walking around town at night. 

Roxanne: Shopping. And then maybe getting your hair done or nails done. Will wear whatever you think looks good on her. Then would go to the salon. The hairdresser would be asking about Roxy's hair and how she tackles it (After asking about the tail) The same thing would happen at the nail salon "Ooo your nails are so long." 🐺: "Thank you. I always keep them in shape."它們就像爪子" "她就像一頭狼" 

Sun: Honestly, bring him anyway and he'll be happy (except for prison). Take him to the amusement park, he'll want to go on the little kiddie rides. Take him to the park, he pets every dog he sees. Take him shopping, he'll find you cute clothes. Take him to the arcade, insert that one episode in K-ON where Ritsu invites Mugi to the arcade and Mugi goes wild. All he wants is to be with you. You make him so happy.

Moon: Movie night. Whatever movie is in the theater you'll go to. Will make snide comments about the characters in horror movies. "He knows you're in there. What's the point in hiding?" Likes it when you rest your head on your shoulder whether sleeping or just resting. Also likes to cuddle when you're watching a movie at home.

So to add to the whole human au idea. Carmilla for whatever reason wants Sera to make the first move. Unfortunately Sera is too much of a mess to do that and very busy not so busy that she doesn't have time but busy enough thay she can use it as excuse to deny herself the chance to find love. Plus Emily at this point is friends with Clara and friendly with Clara's big sister Odette she doesn't want to make everything awkward by getting shot down by Carmilla especially since it gives Emily a place to go after school and rich friends. (Sera is trying to find out how to ask Carmilla to be Emily's godmother in case something happens to her they don't have a lot of living family and less who are qualified to be guardians. Maybe she works up the courage to ask Carmilla that question and Carmilla enthusiastically agrees thinking Sera has finally asked her out only to realize after she said yes that Sera is still to much of a coward to ask.

Carmilla agrees to be Emily's godparent in case something happens to Sera. She takes pity on the woman, who has no other family besides her sister, and probably worries every day about what would happen to Emily in a worst-case scenario. Carmilla just wishes Sera would catch all the hints that she's been dropping about her feelings for the other woman, for the last several months now.

"I don't know about you," Carmilla says, twirling the liquid in her wine glass casually, as she looks across at Sera from the kitchen island. "I feel like there might be an easier and more...permanent solution to this."

"Oh really?" Sera asks. "What is that?"

Carmilla puts down her glass of wine, reaching across the counter to lace her fingers with Sera's on the smooth, granite surface between them. Sera eeps! but doesn't pull away. Carmilla's skin is so soft, and has her in a trance. Her face flushes profusely, but she looks at the other woman, waiting for her to finish her thought.

"You could let me take you out to dinner. Really get to know me. And then think harder about the kind of relationship you'd like to have with my girls, too. They could really use another mom."

Carmilla rubs the inside of Sera's palm with her expensively manicured nails, and Sera shivers. She swallows heavily. She's been trying to deny Carmilla's advances for...how long at this point? But she trusts her, that's why she'd asked her to be Emily's guardian. But for her to just come out and ask this type of question? So blatant and honest like this?

She wants to. She's been denying it for so long, but since Carmilla has stopped dancing around the subject and asked her outright, how can she say no? She's been thinking the same thing the entire time.

"Oh-okay," Sera says, seeing the spark that lights up behind Carmilla's eyes at that one little word. Success! "As--as long as you're sure?"

"Perfectly sure," Carmilla says, taking Sera's hand completely into hers this time, giving it an affectionate squeeze. She smiles at her, winks, and then pulls away to go check on the girls. "It's a date, then."

Sera swallows heavily again, and puts both hands to her face in embarrassment. What type of woman is Carmilla Carmine, really? And what had she just gotten herself into, this time?
