I honestly feel awful that the writers didn’t have the time to spend with certain characters (like Mikey), and some barely had the screen time they deserved. Apparently Karai was supposed to be around for ten episode but in the end she was shoved into, mainly, one episode. The writers, animators and all the creative crew still did their best despite the cut.

There could have been so much more development of Leo as a leader figure. We could’ve seen his relationship with Raphael grow, we could have seen a more in-depth look at Raphael’s role in the family and how he struggles with all pressures of keeping everyone safe. There was hints in one episode of how Mikey feels patronised by Raphael, at times, and they could have gone so much deeper if they were just given the time!

There could have been more tension and wait for the shredder, to truly feel we earned the ending. We could have had more time with Cassandra, and we could’ve seen her development with all the characters and her relationship with April and the turtles grow. (Heck, April herself needed more time! (I can never get enough April) and I would’ve loved to explore her found family with the turtles even more, and maybe learn why we never saw her parents in the show.

Hypothetically, if there was a season three ever made, I wonder what sort of plot would occur. Would we be exploring Casey jr’s adaptation to his new life or would we go back to the episodic shenanigans? Would we get to see more of the apocalyptic future that was skipped in the movie? It makes me wonder if they would tackle more of the characters’ insecurities (like how Donatello feels inadequate when he isn’t providing tech, Mikey’s search for independence, Raphael’s constant worrying for his brothers, Leo’s insecurity on his ability to lead, and pretty much all the turtle bros wanting more attention from splinter).

There is so much more I wanted from rise, and we so nearly had it all.

Last song: If We Try by the Carpenters. I really love soft jazz and smooth sway to love songs. I recommend a listen to it if you're feeling sad or wanting to get cozy.

Favorite color: I see a lot of sunrises when I get off in the morning due to working at night so I really love pastel pinks, blues, and purples to bright hues of yellow and orange. It changes a lot so I usually say rainbow although I am a sucker for yellow and green.

Last movie/show: The Apothecary Diaries, an anime with a MC who loves testing poisons for cures and discoveries, but gets sucked into the palace after a kidnapping. Very live action chinese/korean drama-esque plotlines while also her sneakily playing Sherlock Holmes to help people from getting hurt. I love it so much and am glad it's on it's 2nd cour!

Next on my watchlist: Too many honestly but the last half of Spy X Family season 2.

Last game: Catan, haha me and my cousins play this way too often but it's an amazing game.

Last book: I can't name one so does a webtoon count? I recently got into the Obsidian Bride which only has a few chapters as it's really new but I love the idea of finding true love while disguised and/or pretending to be someone else for the sake of both parties. I really root for the main character to find an escape from her true past/current situation bc abuse and no one who cares sucks.

Sweet/Savory/Spicy: Savory any day! Potato chips and filling stuff with flavor that tantalizes my mouth are always winners! I have a sweet tooth but it has to be a light or plain kind of sweet. I'm more of a bittersweet or dark chocolate person if that makes any sense. I love spicy too but have a low tolerance. That won't stop me from eating Korean spicy noodles and my tummy regretting it later (say hello to my pattern of needing physical and delicious pain when stressed).

Relationship status: Single pringle but I'd be a hopeless romantic if I gave love a shot. >_< Maybe it's a good thing I don't have the time or money for it currently.

Last thing I Googled: "Muscat grapes" bc I had bought myself a tiny box and was wondering if they were worth the price. Very sweet and easy to eat as it's seedless, but prepare for your wallet to cry a bit.

Current obsession: Knightrook brainrot train if I let myself lay around. In general, any storyline in webtoon or anime that has care, love, and longing for another's happiness basically.

Greatest flaw: I might care too much when I prefer to be a bitch. Basically, committing to things on a whim or trying to make anyone feel better, even if logically I don't think they deserve my time and energy, especially if they've wronged me.

Fic I'm currently reading: None in particular but I love reading mutuals' ones bc they share theirs with so much love and passion! How can I not gravitate to that? <3

Okay, so for those who don't know, I'm Australian. The thing that confuses many foreigners about us is how we say hello. The stereotypical "G'day" is a thing, however you're more likely (in my experience as a professional Australian) to get "G'day, how ya goin?" or "How are ya?" "Howzit goin?" etc etc. The response is always "Good." or "Good and you?" You never say how you're actually doing, cause the person who asked you doesn't actually want to know. They don't care.

It's not like they wouldn't care if you did tell them you were going through a bad time, but how you'd tell them that would be: "Yeah, good. Well, yeah, nah, my nanna died, but yeah, okay." The only way you know they are genuinely interested in how you are, is if they ask "How you doing?" or, "You going okay, mate?" That's when they genuinely wanna know.

However, the majority of people who ask you "How's it goin, mate?" are complete strangers who you will never see again. It's just how we say hello. If you said anything other that "Good." They'd look at you like you were a weirdo, cause you are! You're not following the script. You are always good. Even if you are bad.

You. Are. Good. SO

Whumpee isn't doing so good. They answer the same way they always do when greeted. "Good." It's automatic, their brain doesn't even think it, it's just a reflex. "How are you, Whumpee?" "Good, and you?"

Except they aren't doing good. They get worse every day. Whether it be mental or physical health, their environment, what have you, they aren't 'good'.

Whumpee is desperate to tell someone, anyone that they aren't okay and need help. But every time they get asked: "How you goin?" they reply the same, automatic "Good." and no one would be any the wiser that they are struggling.

One day, Caretaker asks Whumpee the magic question, similar to the normal greeting, except the words are altered in a very simple way, and suddenly, they are genuinely asking: "How are you doing Whumpee? You doin okay, mate?" And Whumpee just cracks, "No..." They reveal. "No... I'm not."

"Okay. Well, I'm here for ya mate."
