M A S T E R L I S T
for losing as much as possible in a short amount of time (cuz we are all desperate), from me - a biotechnologist, who relapsed (the demons never leave)
the tips i am about to share with all my girliepops are all based on science and work; if you have any other tips, feel free to share in the comments, so we can have all the tips in one place!
• eat your meals from smaller sized plates, to trick your brain you are eating more
• cut up your food into small pieces
• chew every bite at least 10-15 times, until it is a purée consistency; this way you will be eating slower and give your brain more time to realise you are full
• sip water with a lemon slice between your bites
• focus on eating vegetables and protein, limit carbs
• drink a lot of water, and I mean a lot
• add lemon slices to your water to make it have some flavour; also the lemon juice in water before your meals will help reduce the glucose spike => less insulin released from liver => less absorbed glucose from carbs/sugars/starches => less fat on your body
• move for 10 mins right after eating - walk, do calf raises, some light movement so all the glucose can be used before getting stored as fat on your body
• drink tea - green tea, detox tea, whatever tea, without a sweetener
• do not drink diet sodas/colas - or any kind of liquid that is not water/tea - these are useless calories, why would you do that to yourselves?! even if it says 0 cals - this s#it is so bad for you, and the carbonation makes you feel bloated like a god damn whale! ditch the diet sodas girliepops
• implement some kind of movement every day - walking, pilates, yoga, dance workouts, resistance bands workouts or stretching
• do not weigh yourself everyday - due to hormones our weigh fluctuates every day and this will just make you feel bad if you lose and gain 1-2 legs everyday depending on your menstrual cycle, water weight and so on.. weigh yourself every 2 weeks.
• do not drink fruit juice - this is such a scam; hear me out: how many oranges does it take to make 1 glass of orange juice? around 3. can you eat three whole oranges in one sitting? i bet no. then why would you drink 3 oranges? when you make fruit juice, all the fibre and the pulp is removed, leaving you with just the juice with all the sugar in it (in the form of glucose and fructose) so you are basically drinking pure sugar, which turns into fat… just eat your damned fruit, instead of drinking a bunch of empty calories
• take red cranberry supplements - they are usually taken for UTIs, but the red cranberry has diuretic effect, and will make you pee your water weight out; please do not take more than 2 pills and remember to drink plenty of water so you don’t damage your kidneys!!!!
• take probiotics - this will ensure your gut health stays good while restricting foods, so you don’t end up constipated and bloated
• i personally do not eat dairy products (i am lactose intolerant) - they are full of hormones from the cows, give you acne and inflammation, and the protein in it is not worth it considering the amount of fat these products have; skip the dairy if you can
• if you drink a lot of coffee, remember to drink plenty of water! coffee has a diuretic effect and if you are not drinking more water, it will make you retain whatever water is in your body, leading to water weight gain
• if you end up binging, do so mindfully - do not give in to all the food, just have a piece of chocolate, not the whole chocolate bar; have a piece of cake, not the whole cake; then get back on track and try to exercise as much as possible to burn the excess calories
• i think this is obvious but let me say it just in case - in order to lose weight, you have to be on a calorie deficit - meaning you burn/use more calories than you consume; but!! here is the trick - you have to maintain low calorie diet, do not ⭐️ve for more than 2 days, as this will f#ck up your metabolism - your body goes into fight or flight response, meaning everything you eat after f4sting will remain on your body as a reserve of food, in case you end up ⭐️ving again; so have your veggies and protein (chicken breasts, white fish)
• keep yourself busy so you don’t think about f0od - study, work, read books, journal, whatever it is, your day has to be full of activities do you can forget to e4t
• reject offered food - say you already ate / yr not hungry / you are allergic to some ingredient / you have a bad migraine and this will make it worse / or take the food and say you will have it later and just give it to someone else (pls don’t throw in trash, do not waste food)
• when eating with family / boyfriend - place food in a smaller plate, cut up food into very small pieces and eat very slowly and chew every bite for a long time, sip water between every few bites, then say you are full and cannot eat anymore / that you ate a bit earlier and yr full
• when eating, eat your veggies first, then your protein and eat the smallest amount of carbs - always leave leftover carbs in your plate
• do not eat any snacks - no cereal bars, no cereal, no chips, no crisps, no crackers, no salty sticks, just do not eat snacks!
• if you feel like eating - drink water first, then have veggies (cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, radishes, etc) or fruit (apples, citrus, any kind of berries)
• if you are having breakfast - always eat a savoury breakfast - eggs, avocado, veggies etc; never eat a sweet breakfast - cereal, croissants, pancakes, etc, this will spike up your glucose levels and all that sugar will turn into fat; a sweet breakfast will make you feel tired and exhausted all day, leading you to eat more
• wear a waist trainer - do so for no more than 8hrs a day; this will also help you have smaller portions of food, as it won’t allow your stomach to expand
• do not purge - this is very bad for your teeth and overall health; the stomach acid is very strong and every time you purge, your teeth are getting damaged; just don’t overeat in the first place and have self control!

Considering he "sobered up" rather quickly, do Gallifryans control how quickly their body processes alcohol?

A Gallifreyan's liver is like a high-performance engine when it comes to metabolising alcohol. They can process spirits faster than you can say 'Raxacoricofallapatorius', meaning they can usually avoid the clumsy antics and morning-after regrets that accompany human drinking sessions. But, just like any engine, push it too hard for too long, and it's going to start sputtering.

Imagine you're at an intergalactic rave, your bloodstream swimming with the finest spirits from across the galaxy. As a Gallifreyan, you possess a unique party trick: the ability to whisper to your own nervous system, instructing it to initiate a biochemical cleanup on aisle 'you'. But even Time Lords have their limits. Picture this: the party's been great, and you've drunk enough to fill your TARDIS swimming pool. Now, your body's internal command centre, usually so adept at managing your physiological state, is, well, utterly sloshed.
Your attempts to signal a detox might get lost in the ether, like a distress call floating aimlessly in the void. Your once-infallible nervous system fails to muster the coherence needed to initiate the cleanup crew. The hangover that follows is a testament to the fact that, despite their near-omnipotent command over time and space, Gallifreyans are not immune to the universal law of cause and effect.

While a Gallifreyan might join in on the human ritual of clinking glasses and downing shots, they have an alien ace up their sleeve to avoid the aftereffects. Just keep that metabolism in check and move the ginger beer away unless the Gallifreyan wants to really make an idiot of themselves and pay for it in the morning.

i hate "detox" shit in stupid "wellness" circles bc. no a bunch of juice and a water diet isnt gonna fucking "detox" you and most "detox" supplements are usually just garbage or laxatives. the job of your liver and kidneys is to detox things from your body carrot juice with turmeric isn't gonna magically improve that nor will mystery green supplements that make you shit your pants.
however if you have poor nutrition or a health condition you can have problems w ur liver and the process of purging various things from your body you don't want like excess hormones and many things lumped together in the general "toxins" category most ppl can't actually name. but you can't talk about ways to see if you have a nutritional deficiency or if you might have smth going on with your liver not filtering out excess hormones without someone jumping on with "HOW TO BOOST YOUR LIVER AND CLEANSE TOXINS FROM YOUR BODY WITH THESE SUPERFOODS" or assume you are doing the same shit.

Ah sure. Herbalism is both a science and an art. No two herbalists practice in just the same way because the thinking processes & healing philosophies differ from person to person. So, I can recommend a few beginner-friendly books (though some are dense) which I personally found very useful in my own journey.
(Normally, I am primarily a book learner. But, as guided by my herbal coursework, I was encouraged to also learn about the herbs through direct experience and studying a variety of traditions & other herbalists. Herbalism is not properly studied when you just experience it on paper, I realized. So, I would recommend a similar thing for beginners: learn botany, plant identification, forgaging, gardening, medicine making, safety precautions, how to research herbs properly, and different traditional medicine systems [such as Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Unani-Tibb, Caribbean Bush Medicine, Western Herbalism, etc. It's especially best to understand how a certain herb was used on the land which it's native to]. Podcasts and articles can be good resources too. Most of all, deeply testing and experiencing herbs one-by-one is crucial in my view).

Womb Healing Masterpost
 Please share far and wide.
With the increase of hormonal imbalance as a result of the collective being fed constant cycles of stress through the media, I’ve felt called to organize info that’s been useful to me on healing the womb and healing hormonal imbalance. While menstruation pain has been normalized, it is not natural to regularly be in pain during your cycle. Consistently painful cycles are the body’s way of communicating that something is wrong and that the womb needs attention.  I’ve provided some tools below to help.
I’ve broken the info up into three categories: energetic, physical, and gut health. I’ve found it to be true that womb related issues are always energetic first. Fixing the physical issue without addressing the emotional/energetic wounding will cause the illness to manifest in the body in another way. The physical category focuses on how to address womb imbalance by making changes to diet and behavior. The gut health category is gut specific healing because many hormones are created in the gut or called into creation by the gut microbiome. If you have hormonal issues it’s likely you have gut health issues as well.
The most important element of healing your womb is discernment. Use your discernment when moving through this information. Some things will be helpful and relevant to you and some will not. Everyone’s body is unique. Honor that on your journey to healing.
**note: some of these resources advise restrictive dieting (example vegan, low/no carb or otherwise) to heal the womb. While using these diets to detox for a little while may be beneficial, I’ve personally found restrictive diets to be more damaging long term. I’ve found the most benefit from prometabolic eating or eating ancestrally.  With any dietary info provided in these resources, use your discernment and prioritize listening to your body’s unique needs.**

what it is, what it does, + why you should try it!

[ part one - what is it? ]
dandelion tea is made from roasting and steeping dandelion roots! however, it can also be made with the leaves or flowers.

[ part two - why should i try it? ]
it tastes great (light + herbal), contains 0 calories, and has a LOT of health benefits, listed below!
1. dandelion tea is a natural diuretic, meaning it increases urine output + flushes out excess water. this helps:
reduce water weight
reduce bloating
treat + prevent utis
2. dandelion tea’s diuretic effect also adds water to stool, making it a gentle, natural laxative that works fairly quickly!
3. dandelion tea contains many vitamins + minerals, such as:
vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C
potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron
antioxidants (beta-carotene + taraxasterol)
4. it helps increase + maintain the flow of bile, promoting healthy liver function.
5. it soothes the stomach lining which helps the body absorb minerals + increases the stomach’s probiotic properties
6. it is anti-inflammatory (aka reduces inflammation in the body) + helps regulate blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin production

you can also make your own dandelion tea at home! dandelions are really easy to find, but be careful not to use any that have been sprayed with pesticide or any other chemicals.

Hi Tahyal! How do you think we should start preparing for the month of Ramadan so that we're ready by the time it comes?
Hi!
Physically : Build your nutrient stores, replenish your minerals (beef or chicken liver, bee pollen, oysters, nettle tea, fruits, well cooked veggies, coconut water), start an energy building practice (gentle movements associated with breathing techniques such as yoga or qi gong), optimise and heal your metabolism so that your body can actually sustain long periods of time without fuel (support your liver, I suggest dandelion root tea and hibiscus tea, consume more protein, support elimination and detoxing pathways : deep breathing, drink enough water throughout the day, ginger tea for gut motility, lime juice with water first thing in the morning, lymphatic drainage, hot baths and showers).
Spiritually and emotionally : If you can, do a social media detox (you can delete the apps off your phone and only check them on your laptop if there's the need), do a 4 week plan of what you wish to accomplish during Ramadan (example : study one Surah in depth per week : esoteric and exoteric aspects), Make a selection/playlist of the da'wahs and various lectures that you'll watch (I like to watch them during suhoor, I recommend Hamza Yusuf, and the Angel series by Omar Suleiman), write down your "transformation" goals for the month : how do you want to operate from now on? What do you want this month to bring you more of and which steps can you take towards that? (ex: peace, patience, greater capacity to love, etc)
And then you can make your own personal menu for the whole month, I love doing that, it eliminates the stress of guessing what you're going to make for iftar, it ensures that you won't eat the same thing multiple times, and its a great opportunity to try new recipes.

They've been goin (mostly) strong for 8 years straight. There were some slight bumps when Tweek's parents were arrested in 7th grade, and he had to not only come to terms with bein drugged, but also a rather long detox and rehabilitation. It's not that Craig wasn't there for him, he really did try to be, but it was more that Tweek was extremely unstable and lost trust in just about everyone, and his paranoia amplified significantly since. Once Tweek was at a more calm and stable state, they were able to pick up where they left off, only this time, with a few more 'quirks'. Craig currently works as a pizza delivery driver, and has a tendency to let Tweek come along with him on his shift (which has Tweek also spending a lot of time to do fuck all in the car while Craig fulfills duties in the store). There's not too many times that they are apart due to Tweek's paranoia of everyone but Craig, also fearing that something bad will happen to Craig if he's not there. They're always at each other's houses, and don't mind the lack of separation. I've mentioned before that Tweak Bros. was reopened by other family members, and while Tweek doesn't work in-store, he does bake and drop off the items, which is how he makes a living. I am blanking right now, but they also both like to make fun of eachothers hair. Tweek can't cut his hair for shit n always makes it a choppy mess, all while starting to have white/greying due to the emotional aftermath of his parents arrest. And Craig is already developing a bald spot before he's even 20.
