I never thought I’d say this, but I’m in love with a demon. Harley Laroux did not disappoint with this book and I’m so glad there’s two more in this series!

At first Rae bugged the hell out of me because of her stupidity, but then I realized the girl was just trying to survive. As any human would. And at least Leon loved her brattiness. His punishments were… wow.

And the whole Leon giving Rae his metal scene… fucking. swoon!

Dear lord, I loved it.

Because it's so fucking good. Like STUPID GOOD. and it's FREE on kindle unlimited but I will absolutely be buying a hard copy.

It's original. It's witty. It's funny as fuck and as made me laugh out loud. It's sexy AF. And the imagery had me CREEPED out at 1AM in the dark.

There is a second one and a third on the way.

In a world full of pooly written pallet cleansers reliant on cookie cutter plots and sub-par smut, this book was a breath of fresh fucking air and I will recommend everyone read it at an alarmingly annoying rate.

The problem is, something wants her. It wants her soul, and it will stop at nothing to get it.

What I Loved:

A book with actual sadomasochism. That was a breath of fresh air right there. The smut is *chefs kiss*. It is also plentiful.

Demons like consent. A lot. And I'm here for it.

Leon, our demon friend, is witty. He's biting and sarcastic, and watching him grapple with his more human feelings and desires is a delight.

This book is full of humor, but it doesn't go overboard and make a mockery of itself.

What Could Have Been Better:

Raelynn makes a lot of dumb choices. It's not quite as obnoxious as I've seen in other monster books, but there were points that I wanted to shake her by her silly shoulders.

If "Baby Girl" is a pet name that squicks you out, you probably won't like this book.

I asked if I could and you didn’t answer so I’m shooting my shot: Demon Agapito stalking his darling (demon template from Her soul to take)

Invisibility is very handy to have when he can't help but slip his way into your room during the day, knowing the relationship isn't at the point where you'd gladly invite him over to just chill while you're busy focusing on something else. You don't have to worry he'll respect your bathroom privacy and what not, despite the many he's lead to corruption via deals and what not he couldn't manage to wipe away the guilt if he did anything that would make you feel particularly violated

Some days are spent just following you around, you're too caught up with classes to spend time with him anyways so why not, especially since he gains more information on those you interact with daily and the subjects you're currently studying on, it's basically killing two birds with one stone even if his angel does show signs of being paranoid due to his constant gaze along with the faint smell of him after awhile.

You'd never realize it but Agapito has single handedly been the reason no one's dared to mess with you, not a single rude response from staff at whatever store you're in nor from the kid notorious for picking fights on your block, typically he'll scare them off with a quick appearance and a single flash of his sharp teeth before once again fading into nothingness, other times he'll turn their thoughts away from bothering his dearest. If all else fails and he doesn't manage to get between the issue in time nothing fixes the aggravation you feel by nudging your emotions to a considerably more calming direction, maybe convince you to call him and rant, not only would he be happy to pick up the phone it's the least he can do
