I often worry about why the gods spend time interacting with me and other people.
I feel I am lesser than them, and like… why would a god hang out with a human?
But I think honestly..it’s just such a pointless question to worry about. I could wonder all day every day and use my worries to invalidate my own practice. but it wouldn’t change anything.
Because they are there nonetheless, because they have answered questions and prayers. And because I can feel their love and sometimes their displeasure too.
Whether I feel worthy of these interactions really is irrelevant at the end of the day. Because they are happening and I should just be happy for that.

A Dumb question about ancestor worship
So I know ancestor worship is something I’m interested in, but my blood ancestors are, generally speaking, not great people. Do I have to worship blood ancestors or could I worship my LGBTQ+ ancestors? Busts of Elagabalus and Sappho, pictures of Marsha, Sylvia, Stormé, and more, etc..
What is y’all’s opinion on this?

image desc : digital painting of apollo with a fox, the fox is facing towards the light source, the sun. apollo is between 3/4 view and side profile.
the palette is made of light yellow and white for the bright light, then a warm mustard and orange, then burnt orange and dark brown for shadows.
apollo has a round face like his statues and short curly hair and a laurel across his temples, he is also wearing a toga with a sun symbol on the clasp. end desc

30 Days of Deity Devotion
Day 7: Names and Epithets of Athena
Name Variations
"Athena" is the name most well known to us today, but she was known by other names also. In epic she was Athenaiē, shortened to Athene. The Doric form was Athana, Aeolic Athanaa, and Attic Athenaia which shortened to "Athena" and became commonly used in the fourth century BCE.
Epithets
Alalkomene - "The Defender"
Alea - Supposedly "Protectress" or "Refuge" but most resources I have found point to syncretization with a local goddess at Alea, Mantineia and Tegea.
Amboulia - "Of Counsel," or "Counsellor"
Areia - "Warlike"
Boarmia - "Yoker of oxen" - Refers to her invention of the plough
Ergane - "The Worker," "Craftswoman"
Glaukôpis - "Owl-eyed," "Bright-eyed," "With flashing eyes," "Blue/Grey-Eyed." Having eyes with a bright, shining quality.
Hephaistia - Used in the context of the Khalkeia festival which honors crafts and artisans, in which both Athenavand Hephaistos were honored.
Hippia - "Of horses"
Hygeia - "Health," "Cleanliness"
Khalinitis - "Of the Bridle" - Refering to her invention of the bridle and having tamed Pegasos.
Kissaia - "Of the Ivy"
Makhanitis - "Contriver (of plans and devices)," "Inventor"
Nike - "Victory"
Ophthalmitis - "Of the eyes"
Paiônia - "Healer"
Pallas - Various meanings and origins are attached to this epithet. It may refer to a childhood friend she accidentally killed. It may refer to a giant she had slain and worn the skin of. Pallas could be derived from the word pállō (πάλλω) which means "to brandish (as a weapon)", or from pallakís (παλλακίς) meaning "youth, young woman." As I understand, it is more often refered to as meaning the latter.
Parthenos - "The Virgin"
Polias - "Of the City"
Polymetis - "Wise/Cunning in many ways"
Promakhos - "The Champion"
Pronoia - "Foresight"
Soteira - "Saviour"
Xenia - "Of Hospitality," "Of the foreigner"

Lady Hestia, goddess of home, family, and shelter,
I ask for your blessing upon this home.
Watch over and protect those who live here.
May love and devotion, which burn so brightly in your heart,
blaze in our hearts as well.
I honor you first and last, Great Hestia,
goddess of sanctuary.
Be welcome in our home for all time.
Prayer to Hestia when blessing a home.

self care is a devotional act. washing your hands is a devotional act. finding beauty in something or someone is a devotional act. finding beauty in yourself is a devotional act. loving friends, family, pets, & partners is a devotional act. devotional acts dont have to be these grand gestures, because the gods & goddesses appreciate you; especially when youre enjoying the life they bestowed upon you
happy venus day everyone !!

I enjoy Greek pottery, especially the pottery that is made to represent the deities.
It's a hobby to collect them for me when I'm able to and I love the feeling of dopamine I get from it when I add a new piece to the shelves that house every collectable thing that I've been able to snatch up (/lighthearted). The collection shelf itself isn't Greek pottery-exclusive and has some Egyptian and Asian style pottery, things, and statues as well that I enjoyed.
However the shelf is used as an altar of sorts for Lord Apollon and Lady Athena simultaneously, which for me makes it special when I add to it. A few of my personal fave pieces of it are specifically the statues of Lord Apollon and Lady Athena I think my mum was able to find me at some point.
I have a murray of different pottery for multiple Greek deities as well. It's not even limited to the deities I specifically and actively work with such as lord Dionysus, I have a few painted plates detailing him and I was at some point trying to give him his own shelf since my collection shelf doesn't have much space on it anymore. (Albeit I failed solely due to how easily the plates were at risk of falling and breaking from their shelf when I was rearranging my room and then forgot to put them back on it lmao.)
It's basically one of my own ways to appreciate the deities; to keep up with the shelf and collect.

guys i was just meditating and all of a sudden i hear “you’re not listening.” I genuinely thought I was getting all the signs 🤦🏽‍♀️
I’m away from home, so I don’t have access my altar and my tarot cards. So I’m really struggling to ground myself.
Any tips on how to do divination with daily items please.
I can’t tell if this is Lady Aphrodite, one of my spirit guides or someone else entirely

I like to see Apollo as a God with an amazing range and control of his voice. He can sing any note, any song, and it be completely effortless. His voice soothes, uplifts, and heals. But he can still sound haunting if he needs to. Those with the gifts of a beautiful voice were gifted it from him from birth. Praise Apollo
