JJK MEN & THEIR SLEEPYHEAD GF !
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
featuring. toji fushiguro, yuuta okkotsu, choso x fem! reader
warnings. absolutely nothing
note. anon, first of all, again, i'm so sorry i accidentally put your post up in the queue list when it was unfinished and the pen symbol wasn't there so i screenshotted this before deleting the og post. i hope this post comes to find you by itself :(( second of all, thank you for liking the first part, means a lot to me <33 last of all, hope you enjoy this one!
Tumblr media
TOJI FUSHIGURO. i feel like he's the kind of person who doesn't mind having a sleepyhead gf, in fact he'll gladly sleep with her no matter what time or place. he'll just look and then you're asleep, all of a sudden he's asleep too.
people find it odd how you and him are able to just doze off anywhere, especially toji being a pretty "busy" man. would ditch his work sometimes just to have a nap with you, and i feel like he's the type of guy who would use you like a bolster when you both sleep. so you just lie there, arms by your side — while he on the other hand, is all up on you, holding you close to him.
sometimes toji would chuckle upon seeing you asleep at the most random time and places, in a diner, in a fast food restaurant, in the park standing up (and you woke up because apparently a kid bumped into your leg), just anywhere. he finds your sleepy habit quite interesting really.
"toji... 'm tired."
"when're you not, hm?"
he absolutely loves it when you just clung onto him like a koala for a nap, makes him feel proud (oh and i feel like he's the type of person who would take pictures if you sleep with your mouth open with a string of drool coming out of your mouth, he says that it's adorable. you don't think so though).
YUUTA OKKOTSU. yuuta is just so adorable. i feel like he gushes out a lot when you fall asleep on him, like he will silently fawn over you but at the same time he doesn't know what to do. should he let you be? wake you up so you could sleep in a more comfortable place? or carry you to the said comfortable place?
he just ends up waking you up because of how fidgety he is, "yuuta?"
"i'm so sorry, did i wake you up? sorry.."
honestly, you don't even care about the whole wake up thing. you just wanted to sleep so you always end up latching onto his side like a baby, "five more minutes."
it's never five minutes, longest is twelve hours. although yuuta doesn't mind — he even joins you for a bit, and if he has to go, he will make sure you're tucked in well and comfortable with a pillow fort he built just for you incase something (the monsters comes for you) happens.
CHOSO. i feel like he gets confused at first to why you're always falling asleep near him, he even asked this "Google" to that — and Google did not in fact help, but instead drove him into a state of panic because it told choso that you were dying. so when you fall asleep the next time, choso wakes you up almost immediately.
"don't die on me."
you didn't know what he was talking about and assumed that he was just messing around so you closed your eyes, and he had a full blown breakdown because he thought you were actually dying.
but when you told him it's because you feel safe to sleep near him, he's never been so much happier. and whenever you fall asleep, he always has a blanket ready for you both. so here's how it goes, you fall asleep and lean your head on his shoulder, he drapes the blanket over the both of you, he leans his head onto your head and falls asleep.
you both always end up in such an uncomfortable position after (either with your hand or foot in his face, or vice versa), but you guys never cared, at least the sleep was good.
"cho, get your foot out of my face before i bite them off clean."
"'m sorry, it just happens."

I Got Chills, They’re Multiplying
Tumblr media
Pairing: Robert “Bob” Floyd x Reader (fem, she/her)
Category: sick fic, fluff
Summary: Despite being stubbornly independent, Bob won’t let you push him away in your time of need.
Warnings: sickness, sexual references and innuendos, implication of Bob having a “lieutenant” kink, just fluff mostly, reader is used to pushing people away, they’re like hella in love but won’t say it
Word count: 2.4k
A/N: Wrote this exhausted because I haven’t been able to sleep these past few days due to being sick. Enjoy!
Consider buying me a coffee :)
You stared at the last text message Bob had sent you.
Okay, get well soon!
It was unclear whether the constant pounding in your head was what was making you feel sick or if it was how quickly the text conversation had ended with your boyfriend. Well, kind-of boyfriend. You'd been on a lot of dates over the last few months but hadn't actually made it official yet.
It's not like you expected anything from him, you were used to men being pretty dismissive, and his message was actually very friendly, especially with the exclamation point at the end, but you couldn't help but feel a pang of something at him just ending the conversation like that.
To be fair to him, you had told him that you were fine, just had a cold or a minor case of the flu. It was a little worse than that but you weren't used to telling people your problems, used to keeping them bottled up inside. So you guess you couldn't really blame him for taking your word for granted and assuming that, as you'd said, you were fine. And maybe he was busy.
You sighed and tossed your phone aside, burying your face in one of the many blankets you'd dragged to your couch in an attempt to feel slightly warmer. You were being ridiculous, this is exactly what you wanted. And what you expected. At least you had peace and quiet for the day whilst you recovered.
Drifting off into a dreamless sleep came naturally with the state your body was in and you were thankful for it, hoping that the headache that had been plaguing you since you first woke up that morning would be gone by the time you woke up again.
It wasn't.
In fact, it only got worse when the rhythmic throbbing in your skull matched the timing of the person knocking on your front door. You groaned quietly to yourself and dragged yourself up off the couch, wrapping a blanket tight around your shoulders and padding to the door with only one sock on. You figured the other one must have fallen off during your nap.
You didn't even bother looking through the peephole to see who was bothering you, hoping to just snap at them to go away once you'd managed to unlock the door.
That plan was foiled when you were greeted by your favourite pair of baby blue eyes behind wire framed glasses. You immediately softened at the sight of your kind-of boyfriend.
"Oh, hi." You croaked, immediately feeling sheepish that you were about to shout at him without even thinking about the consequences.
Bob frowned at you, giving you a quick once over. "You're sick."
"Yes, I told you that." You chuckled, coughing into your elbow as soon as the words had left your mouth.
"Sicker than you let on." He clarified.
You shrugged, not knowing what to say. He was right. But that's just who you were. Keep everything to yourself, was your motto.
So you just asked him a question instead. "Why are you here? I said I was fine."
Bob smiled at that. "I think your exact words were 'yeah, I'm good' which I knew was a lie."
"Oh." That surprised you.
He went further. "You only say you're good when something's wrong."
God, were you that easy to read?
"So, I thought I'd come check on you." He stiffened suddenly. "I hope that's okay."
You didn't think it possible but somehow you softened more under his worried gaze. "Yes, that's very okay. Do you want to come in?"
You opened the door wider for him, stepping aside and grinning when he hurried in and kicked off his shoes. It was then that you noticed what he was wearing. Blue jeans and a plain white t-shirt. He looked good. Very good. If you didn't feel like you were dying then you'd definitely be jumping his bones right about now. You still kind of wanted to. You pushed the thought aside.
"Didn't realise how hot it is outside. I'm freezing." You mumbled, shuffling back towards your couch. "Do you want a drink?"
"No, thanks. But if I did then I'd make it myself. I'm here to look after you." He placed a hand on the small of your back to guide you in the direction of the blanket pile you'd previously made, smirking at the sight of it.
You shifted away from him. "You don't have to touch me. I'm sick and disgusting right now."
He huffed. "You're beautiful and lovely like always."
"Liar." You grumbled, pushing back into his hand nevertheless.
"No, just smitten and honest." He confessed, sitting you down on the couch and wrapping you in the millions of blankets. "Have you eaten today?"
You shook your head no. You didn't feel up to cooking.
"Want me to make you something?" He stood in front of you with his hands on his hips.
"No." You sighed. "It's okay."
"Yeah, I'm making you something."
You huffed. "You really don't have to-"
"I want to." He cut you off. “I don’t want you to think you can’t ask me for things. You know I care about you, right?”
You nodded slowly. “I know, I’m just used to doing stuff for myself.”
Bob smiled gently. “I know that. But now you don’t have to. I’m here for you. To help. Or whatever you need.”
You were about to respond with a fond thank you when you were interrupted by his cellphone chiming in his pocket.
“Sorry.” He grunted, pulling the device from the front of his jeans.
“It’s okay.” You coughed, curious as to why he was suddenly frowning. “Who is it?”
"Had plans with the team tonight. Was supposed to meet them for drinks." He mumbled, typing away on his phone.
"Oh, god." You rubbed your hand across your face. "Please go. You don't have to stay here. Don't let them down."
Bob suddenly looked up from his screen and gave you an amused smile. "I'm sure they'll understand that I'm looking after my sick girlfriend."
He said it so casually, as if he’d been doing it regularly. Your heart rate picked up at that. Girlfriend. His girlfriend. Bob Floyd's girlfriend. You could've squealed with glee. You stayed silent and settled for a pleased grin.
He sighed to himself once he’d replied to his team and placed his cell down on your coffee table. “Where were we? Oh! Right. Me cooking for you.”
“Like I said, you don’t need to do that.” You pulled your feet up onto the couch after a particularly violent shiver ran through you. “I’m perfectly fine.”
Bob reached out and pressed the back of his hand onto your forehead. “You have a fever. And you’re still shaking like we’re in Antarctica.”
“It’s just my immune system fighting back.” You hummed, leaning into his touch as he moved his hand down to cup your cheek.
“Exactly. And I’m sure some warm soup will just help your immune system out.” He crouched down in front of you, taking the other side of your face in his other hand. “Please let me take care of you.”
The words were so softly spoken, so tender, that you almost started crying. No one had ever sounded so sincere before, especially when it came to your well-being. If you weren’t so scared of infecting him, you would’ve leaned forward to kiss him.
So you could only reply quietly, with the smallest of nods. “Okay.”
His face burst into a dazzling smile, the kind that made you never want to stop looking at him. “Okay. You rest some more and I’ll go make that for you.”
You smiled weakly back at him, suddenly remembering something. “I don’t think I have any soup.”
Bob didn’t falter. “That’s alright. I’ll figure something out.”
You thought that maybe you were a little bit in love with him.
“Help yourself to anything.” It didn’t need to be said, he knew your kitchen pretty well at this point and you always made it clear that he was free to eat or use anything in it when he was over at your place.
He nodded, pressed a kiss to your forehead and stood up. “Try to sleep a little. This might take a while.”
You snorted, regretting it immediately as it made your throat feel all scratchy. “Yes, Lieutenant.”
Bob paused for a second, halfway to taking a step towards the kitchen, and looked back at you. “Lieutenant?”
You nodded, mouth twitching at the corners.
He seemed to think on it for a second. “Hm, we’ll come back to that.”
You giggled quietly into your blanket and settled back onto the couch, closing your eyes and thinking of Bob Floyd. Your boyfriend. Your extremely caring boyfriend. Who was in your kitchen making you soup! When did you suddenly get so lucky? The musings drifted away with you as you slipped into unconsciousness.
Some time passed before you were awoken again by Bob stroking the side of your face and softly uttering your name.
You rubbed your eyes as you sat up, slightly confused as your head cleared. “What’s going on?”
“Soup.” He replied simply, picking up your legs and sitting down before placing them across his lap. He leaned forward to grab the bowl and spoon on your coffee table and then turned to face you.
“You gonna feed me?” You teased.
Bob smiled. “I would if you wanted me to but I’m sure you’d rather I throw this soup in your face than do that.”
He was right.
“Hm, when did you get to know me so well?” You asked, half joking as you took the bowl and spoon from him. The soup was a rich green colour. What he’d found to put in it, you had no idea. “Always thought I was closed off.”
“You are.” He shrugged. “But I pay attention.”
Your eyes shot up to meet his again. He was just looking at you with a slight smile, hands smoothing up and down the lengths of your clothed legs.
You were definitely a little bit in love with him.
You defaulted to a joke. "Remind me when I'm feeling better that you're gonna get it sooo good."
Bob snorted. "I think the fever is making you delirious."
"I'm just frustrated because you, somehow, look hotter than usual and I'm too sick to do anything about it." You gestured vaguely to his outfit, using the spoon to point.
“I’m wearing jeans and a t-shirt.”
“Hot.” You insisted.
"Okay, I'll remind you." He rolled his eyes. “Now eat your soup.”
“Yes, Lieutenant.” You mumbled, dipping the spoon into the thick liquid.
He huffed out a laugh.
You weren’t surprised in the least that the soup was delicious. You were starting to believe that Bob might actually be the perfect man, some sort of miracle sent to Earth to apologise for all the wrongdoing in the world. How he’d managed to concoct a good soup out of the limited ingredients in your kitchen was beyond you. And yet, he’d done it.
“What the hell did you put in this?” You asked, frowning at him mock suspiciously. If you didn’t know him better you’d think he’d ordered it to your place while you were asleep. But Bob Floyd wasn’t that kind of guy.
“Some stuff I found laying around.” He shrugged modestly. “Didn’t follow a recipe or anything.”
You scoffed. “You’re something else.”
He just shrugged again, a pleased smile playing on the corners of his lips, and watched you practically inhale the rest of the dish. He was very glad you’d eaten it.
“How you feeling now?”
“Better.” You admitted. “But I don’t know if it’s because of the soup or because you’re here.”
Bob’s heart thudded against his rib cage at that confession. “Just happy to help.”
You hummed and stared at him fondly.
He had trouble getting his next question out, distracted by the way you were looking at him. “Do- do you- do you want to go back to sleep?”
You hesitated before answering him, mulling an idea over in your mind. “There is something I want.”
“Oh, yeah? What is it?” He was willing to do anything for you.
“Don’t want you to get sick.” You sighed.
He smiled. “I think we left that concern behind when I first got here.”
Your eyes widened. “No! Don’t make me feel guilty.”
“I’m not trying to.” Bob assured you. “But I doubt whatever you want is going to have a higher risk of getting me sick than me just sitting here next to you.”
You grumbled something underneath your breath to yourself.
“It’s okay. I don’t mind getting sick off of you.”
Maybe you were a lot in love with him.
So you let it burst out of you. “Wanna cuddle.”
Bob didn’t even respond to you, just scooped you up into his arms and maneuvered the two of you into the position he knew you liked - him on his back with you half on top of him and half next to him, one leg and one arm slung around him, your face buried his chest and head tucked under his chin, one of his hands moving to stroke up and down your arm, trace patterns across your back and comb through your hair.
He knew you so well.
You nuzzled your face against his t-shirt. “Thank you.”
He inhaled deeply. “You don’t need to thank me.”
“I want to. You didn’t have to do all of this.”
“Making you soup is nothing. It’s not like I’m giving you a kidney.” He paused. “Although I’d probably do that too.”
You chuckled against his chest. “What I mean is, most guys would’ve accepted my ‘I’m good’ text and carried on with their day. You didn’t.”
“Because I knew you were lying.” He reminded you.
“That’s my point. No one has ever known I was lying before.” You tilted your head up to look at him. “I’m glad you knew.”
“Me too.”
Bob wanted to kiss you but knew you’d kill him if he tried. So he settled for the smile he gave you that always made you look away nervously. Which you did, as predicted, and then swiftly fell asleep against him. He wondered how’d he’d gotten so lucky. Sure, he was caring for a sick person but it was the happiest he’d been in a long time. Which should sound ridiculous but to him it made more sense than anything.
He was knocked out of his thoughts when you whined lowly in your sleep and held onto him tighter. He smiled down at you and held you closer to his chest.
Bob knew then that he was a lot in love with you.
A/N: And we’re back!

He kept one of your hair ribbons wrapped around the hilt of his sword. It billowed in the wind constantly and would draw watchful eyes to it. That pastel pink fabric didn't match a single thing on his brutish, usually bloody exterior, but he still kept it regardless. You tragically didn't give it to him in a blatant display of affection and well wishes for him on his journey, instead, he found the little ribbon after it'd blown off your head and up to the wind. A little pout formed on your lips realizing you'd lost it, but you decided against retrieving it. He didn't though. He picked it up and placed it in his pocket, taking it home to clean off the dirt and grime.
That same ribbon was clenched in his hands when he arrived at the gate of your manor, along with a few other gifts that he would give to you. He'd just slayed the dragon, the wretched menace that was terrorizing the nation, now and only now did he feel worthy to ask for your hand. Cleaning off all the blood and gore that was on his armor, polishing it into light metal that could blind anyone who looked directly at it, he was certain that this would charm you off of your feet.
When he was invited into your home by your parents who were surprised to see the hero himself at their door, he didn't care about the tea or the cakes. The praise meant nothing coming from them. He skipped the pleasantries and went straight to the point. He wanted your hand in marriage and he wanted the wedding to be soon.
A skittish expression crossed your father's face as he gritted his teeth, “We've decided to leave that decision up to her.” Childe smirked, that was even better. He'd never met a woman who wouldn't fall for his charms.
You were called down from your room, eyelids heavy and half open, still in your thin sleeping gown with a robe over it. You were rubbing the tiredness from your eyes as you walked down the stairs, your other delicate hand gripping the banister. And when you saw him, you bowed. A deep traditional bow, given to those of a respectable higher status.
He kneeled down on one knee before you. The male kneeled for only one person, the queen herself. His sword pulled from its sheath, he laid it flat against his palms, offering it up to you. That knocked the sleepiness from his body and suddenly your eyes were wide open. Genuine shock was making your body stiff as a board and you looked back and forth to your parents who didn't say a word.
“Your visage has danced around my heart non stop since the first time I laid eyes on you. I wish to use this sword only to fight for you. Won't you please do me the honor of becoming my wife?” Words spoken in honor, with him meaning every bit of it. You were meant to take the sword from his hands, tapping it gently upon each of his shoulders, but you didn't. You just stood there, lips trembling, but not saying anything.
A marriage proposal via a letter was easy to ignore or reject, you didn't have to see their reaction. But never had you had someone be so bold as to propose to you in person. And not only that, the very hero that saved the Kingdom. Rumors told you he'd be marrying the first princess, she obsessed over him before he became the hero and those feelings seemed to only grow stronger after he waltzed into the city with the bloody head of the beast. Yet here he was at your feet, patiently anticipating your answer which he was positive was going to be a yes.
“I-'' you began, trying to think of the easiest way to let him down gently, “I fear that I'm not ready for marriage yet.” You said hurriedly. That wasn’t entirely a lie. You spent countless hours looking at the list of marriage candidates and scoping them out at balls and parties, but quickly realizing that none of them suited your tastes in that way. The entire idea of being wed barely satisfied you. You wanted to push it off for as long as possible.
“I'm willing to wait for you until the world crumbles. I'd even accept being your fiance until the day we die, as long as I can say you're mine,” he was persistent, you'd give him that.
You fiddled with your fingers nervously. Time felt as if it had stopped and this moment would never end. No matter what you did, he was still going to be there, “I thought you were to be wed to her highness, the princess?” You questioned him.
A scoff fell from his cherry pink lips, eyes looking you up and down, drinking in every inch of your body in that thin nightgown, “She does not interest me. Not the way you do.”
“There is really nothing interesting about me,”
“Won't you let me be the judge of that?”
Your shoulders slumped as you looked to your parents. They seemed as surprised by his persistence as you did, but weren't going to step in to help you, they always affirmed that it was your decision, they wanted you to be independent.
“Forgive me, hero, but I can not accept your offer,”
For just a split second you saw that princely expression slip. His eyes grew dark, lips in a deep frown, a rage you'd never seen before. But he was back to his usual expression in less than a second, that charming smile forming on his lips again as he stood from his knees and sheathed his sword a little too slowly.
“You wound me, my lady,” he'd mutter softly, hands still conveniently tight around the hilt of this sword, “Won't you please accept my gifts? And if you are to begin considering marriage, I hope that my proposal will be remembered fondly.”
Childe showed himself out, a little too quickly, but you didn't dare tell him to slow down. It was only once he was out those large double doors, did the air in your home feel breathable, you finally felt safe again. You watched his carriage leave from a window, watching as his eyes went dull again, losing all shimmers and feeling like a hollow mimicry of what humans were supposed to look like.
You were quite embarrassed to say you fell in love after that. Not with Childe, of course. You mentally tried to push the man from your mind after the way he startled both you and your family. Instead, your feelings developed for a commoner boy. You found yourself eyeing him when he'd deliver produce to your home, his face being one of pure beauty despite his messy exterior. As months went by, you'd catch yourself stealing bashful glances at him, locking eyes only for both of you to look away shyly. When the engagement was announced, Childe was one of the first to hear about it.
You twirled around the house in your wedding dress. Something plain and basic, but it was what your family could afford, and quite honestly, you loved it. You didn't want to take it off. Your fear of getting it dirty lessened as the days went by, until the wedding was only a week away.
“A guest for you, my lady,” one of your maids had said. Typically, when the employees of the house saw you dressed in your white gown, they'd smile at you, overjoyed as well. But she didn't. She looked worried, even a bit tense as she made the announcement to you.
“I hadn't arranged to meet anyone today,” you said a bit quietly, going to you closer to pick out something to change into, “Please tell them to wait in the day room.”
She stood stiffly for a second, then opened her trembling mouth to speak again, “I tried to, my lady. But he insisted on seeing you right now. He's just outside the door,”
A part of you wanted to ask who it was, who would be so disrespectful as to barge right up to a lady's room without her permission. But you already knew. There was a sense of unease sinking into your stomach. Unease and recognition. All the gifts and letters he'd sent weren't enough, were they? The man you were ignoring just had to come see you in person.
“Let him in,” you told the maid. She seemed confused at the ease at which you allowed such a thing, but still opened the door, revealing Childe who stood still in the hallway. He stepped past her, eyes only trained on you, “You're dismissed,” you said quietly, with a reassuring smile to the maid. Hesitance danced across her face, looking back and forth between you Childe, but she still did as told, bowing before leaving.
“You look lovely,” he said breathlessly, taking in the sight of you in that pure white dress.
“Thank you,” was all you could think to say back. Now that he was here before you, your mind was growing blank, all the things you wanted to say suddenly getting lost in fear. You tried not to notice the tension in the room, the way he was eyeing you like a predator about to pounce on a rabbit, but even your tough exterior was easy to see through.
“My heart aches for you, my lady,” he speaks softly while taking slow steps towards you. The terror of this situation made you move backwards, until your feet had made you press your back against the wall, “I fear that my haste might've made me do something…irrational.”
His dominant hand seems focused on the sword at his hip, making you look at it. It was only when you saw the red speckles all over his hand, hilt of the sword, and the oddly familiar pink ribbon he kept tied around it, did that coppery smell fill your nostrils.
With a trembling voice and a fake smile, you tried to assure him, “Any mistake is fixable, Sir Childe.”
“Not this one,” his hand continued to hold the hilt of his sword, squeezing it a few times as of testing the weight of his blade, “Do you know the best part of being the hero? The dragon slayer?” He asked, waiting for your response which was just a slow, forced shake of your head, prompting him to continue, “It's not the riches or the praise. It's not even the women.” As he speaks, one of his hands slides down from your cheek, to your neck, to the bodice of your dress. Tearful eyes look down to see him smearing that red liquid, that blood onto you white dress, staining it.
“I don't understand,” you mumbled, but your words fall on deaf ears.
“The best part of being the hero, is the freedom to do what I want. With no prosecution. Who in their right mind would stand up to the man who saved our failing nation? The answer is no one. Not the king, nor his workers, and especially not your weak little fiance,”
The sight and smell of blood, Childe's deep, hollow blue eyes, the way your heart felt as if it wanted to lurch out of your mouth. All things you tried to focus on as his words pounded their way into your skull, understanding washing over you like a wave that was trying to drown you where you stood.
“Wh-what did you do?” Your voice, so high pitched and breaking as the weight of the words forced through your body.
His hand, cold, soft, wet with blood rubbed your cheek, while his face never faltered, those dead eyes never changing, he had no remorse. It made you sick to your stomach, images of your fiance flashing through your head as you tried to imagine what he looked like, the hopeful ones saying that he was at least still alive.
“I'm going to ask again, nicely this time,” he began while pulling a ring from his pocket. Much more intricate than the one your fiance had given you, seeing as he had the hero's budget. But that didn't make you feel any less light headed when it was slipped onto your ring finger, freezing cold against your warm skin, “Will you do me the honor of becoming my bride?”

Y/N let out a gasp at Joel's bruising grip on her wrist.
Maybe she should've warned the man before applying that much pressure to the wound.
But she was panicking, and didn't know what to do with herself.
The strings of hardly heard curses that came from Joel's mouth were like angelic sounds to the woman.
It meant he was still alive.
And that was enough for her.
The basement of an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere was not exactly the place Y/N wanted to be, but they needed to give Joel time to heal.
And she was more than willing to do anything for him.
For her Joel.
"Come on, come on, Joel. You gotta help me." She muttered under her breath to him.
He barely tilted his head up to her, "Leave."
Ellie looked over the woman's shoulder, "Shut up, Joel."
"And take the gun."
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Ellie screamed.
He reached out and grabbed Y/N's collar. With what strength he had left, he pulled her close to his face, "You go north. You go to Tommy."
She shook her head at him hurriedly, only making the man panic further. "S..sweet girl, please."
"You… you just let me stay. How am I supposed to just leave you?"
"Go. GO!" And he pushed her shoulder, making her stumble back onto the floor.
Ellie was frustrated, and went outside to give herself time to breathe.
Y/N moved back towards Joel, letting her fingers gently brush his messy curls from his face, "Honey, I'm not going anywhere. I'm gonna… stay as long as I need to. Until you're ready to go again."
The gently prodding of her fingers in his hair was whisking him to sleep.
But she needed to hear his voice more before she let him finally succumb, "Joel…?"
She barely heard his replied hum.
"What um… you said you had left a note for me? Well… I was just thinking about it… What did it say?"
"You…" he swallowed, struggling to talk, "You read it when… when you get back to Jackson…"
She shook her head again, "I'm not going. I told you that."
His lips pulled into a very small smile, "You're so pretty. So… so beautiful…"
She watched his eyes close and his body finally relax as he fell asleep.
She let out a sigh, pulling Joel's jacket over his body to give him warmth.
Ellie let out a small cry as she tried to give Joel water.
He was still passed out cold, and she had resorted to dripping water from her fingers onto his lips in hopes that he'd take it.
Y/N walked by the sight with a sigh, before leaning down behind the girl, "You're doing alright, baby."
And she kissed Ellie on the top of the head.
Ellie couldn't remember the last time someone did that.
Or even ANY time somebody had done that for her.
"I'm gonna go out… try to hunt." Y/N said. "We're gonna need something if we stay here. Think you can hold down the fort for me, El?"
Ellie nodded. "I can do that."
She smiled, "Good. I'll be back in a few hours. Hopefully with dinner. I won't lie to you, though. I'm not as good of a shot as Joel."
Only then did Ellie finally smile. "Just… promise you'll come back?"
"Don't worry. I'm not gonna leave you, baby."
And Y/N kissed the unconscious Joel on the forehead before heading upstairs.
God, Y/N forgot how much she hated the cold.
Especially knowing that Joel wouldn't be able  to warm her up when she got back like he always used to.
But as luck would have it, a beautiful deer was only 20 yards from her.
She smiled, and knelt down to crouch with the gun.
She remembered Joel's words.
Slow and steady. Gently.
Gunshot.
Right in its head.
But as luck would have it, someone was ready to take it back with them instead.
David sighed, "What do you think?"
James shrugged, "Seems fine to me."
"Alright. Well, let's get it now. I reckon that whoever shot it is not far off."
David kneeled down to grab the deer.
And hear the click of a handgun against his head.
"Don't. Move."
Y/N faked bravery with her words and actions, but inside, she was terrified.
"Drop your fucking rifles."
The men did so, and Y/N let David stand.
The two men turned around to face her.
They could see the quick rise and fall of her chest even through her heavy coat. The panic in her eyes.
"You're quite a hunter." David reasoned. "We didn't even hear you coming."
"Where the hell did you come from?" She retaliated.
"We're not here to hurt you." David reasoned again, "Let us have 10 seconds of your time."
"Just answer the goddamn question!"
"I'm David, this is my friend James. We're from a larger group: women, children, and we're all very, very hungry…"
"Weird," Y/N lied. "I'm from a large group, too. But, I don't steal others' game."
"Well, even so," David tried again, "ya can't drag this back on your own."
"I can fucking try."
The man sighed, "We're not asking for charity. We can trade you for some of the deer. We have… well, what do you need?"
Y/N was actually considering his offer. Her gun lowered just barely. "…Medicine?"
She didn't notice the way James' jaw clenched.
"We do," David nodded, "Back in our village. You're welcome to follow us."
"I'm not stupid," she scoffed. "You stay with me." She nodded towards James, "He can go get it and come back. Half the deer."
David nodded, "What kind of medicine?"
She let out a shuddered breathe, watching it show in the cold air, "Uh… penicillin? For infections?"
"Alright." He turned to James, "Go talk to Howard. Bring back two bottles and a syringe. It's not code. Do as I say."
Y/N let the barrel of the gun follow James as he stepped away.
"Now, step away from the rifle."
David did so immediately. "Whose gun is that? Your husbands?"
Y/N let out a scoff. She picked up David's rifle and slung it over to shoulder along with Joel's.
"None of your fucking business."
"Is he sick? Is that why you're out here instead of him?"
Y/N just shook her head and his antics.
"Well, look. It's a four-mile round trip back to our settlement. It's gonna be a while before James gets back. I have some oil and matches in my pack. We could.. uh… take shelter. Start a fire."
She pursed her lips.
The man seemed sincere.
"Alright. But you drag the deer."
"So, what's your name?"
Y/N scrunched up her nose as she looked down to her gun that rested on the floor near her crossed legs.
"It's hard to trust strangers. I know," David nodded. "But, I honestly mean you no harm."
She was cursing herself for her big fucking heart.
David seems to notice her internal battle. "For what it's worth, there's room for you in our group."
She shook her head, "I'm not interested in your… hunger club or whatever."
"I'm just a man tryna take care of the people who rely on me. Like… whoever is sick that's relying on you now."
"So, you're their leader?"
"Wasn't my choice. It was theirs. But… yeah."
"What… what do you mean?"
"Well, I'm a preacher. It's not a cult thing… just standard Bible stuff."
Her eyebrows furrowed, "After all this, you still believe in that?"
He smiled, "I actually started believing after the world ended."
A hint of a smile rested on the woman's face. "Interesting. Well, I'm sorry to have crossed paths with you like this. Maybe in another life, I would've joined your group. But I have my own."
David nods, "Well, I believe everything happens for a reason."
She scoffed slightly.
"It's true!" He laughed. "It does. I can prove it to you!"
She laughed, "Alright. Shoot."
"Well, we didn't expect this winter to be so harsh. Hard to find game. So, I sent four of our people to a nearby town to scavenge what they could. And… only three of them came back."
Oh fuck.
She tried to keep her face from showing any emotion.
"Turns out," David continued, "He was murdered by this crazy man. And get this: That crazy man was traveling with a little family. A wife and a girl."
Y/N leaned back, letting her hand slowly wander back to her gun on the floor.
"See?" David smiled. "Everything happens for a reason. James, lower the gun."
Her body went into flight mode, jumping up and pointing her handgun at James. But his rifle was already aimed at her.
"She's the one that killed Alec, isn't she?" James asked.
"She didn't kill anybody," David smiled. "Lower the gun."
James hesitantly did so.
Y/N felt like she was suffocating.
"Did you being the medicine?" David asked.
James nodded, "I did, but-"
"-Give it to her."
He held the medicine out, and Y/N slowly approached him and took it.
She then began to back away, deciding to go without the deer.
"I know you're not with a group," David said. "You won't survive long. I can protect you."
She shook her head. "I don't need your help. We're fine on our own."
Then, she took off in a sprint.
"Ellie? ELLIE!" Y/N screamed as she ran into the house.
Ellie immediately ran up the stairs to the woman, pulling her into a hug. "Did you get it?"
She shook her head, "No… I… I'm sorry. But, I got something for Joel." She pulled out the penicillin.
"What is that?"
Y/N smiled widely, "It's medicine. I got him medicine."
The next day, Y/N had volunteered to go out to scoop snow for Joel.
She was trying to not freak out Ellie about what had happened the previous day.
Which meant she didn't tell Ellie about it at all, and volunteered for anything that was outside of the house.
So, when a few of David's men showed up in the neighborhood, she was thankful that she was the one out there instead of her girl.
"Stay alert," David said, "If this man's not already dead, he's dangerous."
"And the girl and the woman?"
"We bring them back with us."
James sighed, "I don't mean to question your sense of mercy, David. We can let them go. But, we bring them back with us, they're just more mouths to feed."
"If we leave them out here, they'll die."
"Yeah," James retaliated, "Well, maybe that's God's will."
David turned to look at James, but didn't say a word.
"Ellie. Joel." Y/N whispered when she finally made it back to the house.
"What the fuck is happening?" Ellie worried.
"You need to stay here. Stay quiet. There are… fuck… there are men outside. I have to go."
Y/N kneeled by Joel's head, taking it in her hands, "Wake up. Joel, honey, wake up."
She smiled as his eyelids barely opened to reveal his dark eyes.
"There are men that are coming, okay? I'm gonna lead them away from you two but if anybody makes it down here, you…" she looks up at Ellie in exasperation. "…you gotta fucking kill them. Don't… don't hesitate."
She stood, "And don't let Joel sleep."
She wanted to hold Ellie and tell her it would be okay.
She wanted to kiss Joel again and feel his warm breath on her face.
She wanted a lot of things.
But wants weren't allowed anymore.
She hurried upstairs.
She knew she couldn't fight them.
And she couldn't outrun them.
Maybe she would just have to surrender herself to save them.
Then Ellie and Joel could find her.
Or they could die in the cold.
Better than dying at the hands of these men.
She wandered down a few street, as far as she could to keep them from looking in the house that Joel slept in.
She had to fake confusion.
Her plan was in action.
When the man rounded the corner, she pretended to be tying her horse to a tree.
And she feigned surprise when she heard the clicking of their guns.
She turned around with a worried expression, "oh, shit." She murmured. "…David?"
He smiled, "You know, I never caught your name."
"Why do you want it so bad?"
He shrugged, "I just… like ya or something. You have this… way about you. You draw people in."
She shook her head, "Well… I guess you came in time."
He tilted his head in confusion, "In time… for what?"
She had to pinch herself to make the tears come, "They… they're dead."
David's face turned to one of remorse, "Oh, sweetheart. I'm sorry. That can't be an easy feeling. A now childless widow. But don't worry." He smiled at her as he approached, "We'll take care of you."
"David…?" James asked.
He turned to look over his shoulder, "What's one more mouth, James?"
But when David turned back to Y/N, she punched him as hard as she could in his jaw.
And she ran.
It threw the men off, and they weren't sure what to do.
But as they ran after her, David's voice traveled through the cold air, "ALIVE!"
It was harder to run in the snow than she thought.
But those thoughts stopped when she hit a brick wall.
James.
He grabbed her throat, cutting off her air supply.
She gasped under his grip until her face started to lose color.
Now real tears were falling from her eyes.
Especially when she felt her body give way.
David made his way over to the unconscious body. He picked her up gently before turning to the men. "You want vengeance? Go door to door. Find him. Deliver it."
And the preacher began to walk back to camp with Joel's most delicate and precious possession in his arms.

hello! How are you? I see your requests are open? If it's alright, can i request some angst, but with a happy ending because I'm too damn soft🥲 Fem Tav being absolutely devastated when Astarion confessed but also that he was originally manipulating and using her? I never see anyone writing Tav being upset over that, like she's in love with him, but is rightfully angry and upset with him and just sobs while avoiding him for a while? 🥲
Hi hi anon! I'm good, thanks for asking <3 I hope you're alright too!
I love this idea so much aaaaah! I had to start writing pretty much immediately ahaha
Thanks so much for the request, I hope you enjoy it <3

"I care about you."
It's true when you say these words to Astarion. At least you think it's true. At least it was true just five minutes ago.
You're pretty sure it's still true.
You pull Astarion into a hug, and aren't sure if you do it because you want to hug him, or because it feels like the right thing to do.
He hesitates for a moment, but puts his arms around you as well. You're overcome with a wave of happiness that he hugged you back, then sadness that he just admitted to having manipulated you, then anger that you were dumb enough to fall for it.
When he holds your hand, you see a glint of sincerity in his eyes. But you're not sure you can trust your own judgment anymore. Part of you wonders if he actually means it this time.
You know it wouldn't make sense for him to lie again, right after confessing his last lie and admitting that he felt bad for it.
But it didn't make sense for him to lie the first time either.
You've been defending Gale when the others were mad about his secret, and he wasn't sleeping with you. You tried to stand up for Wyll when Mizora showed up, and he hadn't shown even a hint of interest in you. You sided with Karlach and helped her deal with the paladins when you didn't even know her yet.
In short, you've been doing your damnedest to protect the people around you, not because you wanted anything in return, but because you're all in an unfortunate situation, just trying to stay alive, and you believe it'll be better for all of you to help each other. You would've done the same for Astarion, without him ever doing so much as touch you.
Your thoughts cause unease to rise within you, getting worse with every second. Once he lets go of you, you excuse yourself, rushing off to a quiet place, out of view from the others.
You sink to the ground, leaning your head back against the wall as your vision goes blurry. Before you even notice it, tears stream down your face and you suppress a sob.
You feel betrayed. Astarion played with your feelings just to gain a benefit from you, with seemingly no care how it would make you feel. You should've gotten angry at him, told him off for manipulating you, screamed at him for hurting your feelings.
Instead, you gave him a hug and said you care about him.
Underneath the anger and hurt, your feelings for him are still there, maybe stronger than ever. If you could just move past this, maybe the two of you can be happy together after all.
It makes you feel like a child, thinking that you're in some kind of fairy tale romance. But you're not the protagonist of a storybook, and you're starting to have serious doubts that Astarion is the prince who will sweep you off your feet and bring you eternal happiness.
And yet, that small part of you makes you decide to stay with him for now and hope everything will work out for the better. You're not sure if you're naive, stupid, or if Astarion really is worth trying, but you trust your gut feeling, even when your brain is telling you to break things off immediately.
Still, you can't help feeling hurt over everything that happened, so over the next couple of days you pull away from Astarion. It's not your intention, but whenever you're close to him, you start to feel dizzy, sick even. You feel your chest tighten and a knot form in your stomach that gets worse the longer you're around him.
You used to not get enough of being close to you, now it feels like your whole body recoils against his presence.
Astarion doesn't seem to notice that anything has changed -- Or if he does, he doesn't show it. If anything, he's become even more affectionate with you.
He's been seeking out your touch more often, giving you occasional hugs and stealing kisses from you. They make your heart beat faster, but you can't tell anymore if it's because you love him or because it sends your brain into overdrive each time, wondering if he's doing it because he wants to be close to you or because he wants to keep you hooked so you won't turn away from him now.
You hate that you have to question him. You hate that you feel like you can no longer trust him when you blindly would've put your life in his hands just a few days ago.
To make things worse, life has decided to hurl even more struggles at you while you're dealing with your feelings.
The Shadow-Cursed Lands have been getting especially cold at night. You try to stay as close to the fireplace as possible, but it feels like the darkness sucks away any warmth provided by the fire, so you're left shivering and wishing you could lie in a warm bed with several blankets instead.
"Wanna cuddle a little for warmth?" Astarion's voice catches you off guard and you almost flinch when you notice him standing beside you, watching you shiver and grasping your arms.
"Not that I have much body heat to give off, but, you know… I could be there for you in spirit." He continues, giving you a smile that looks almost a little shy.
You're hesitant at first, but something about the way he looks at you plugs at your heartstrings. You can't resist him, not when he looks like he's sending silent prayers to the gods that you'll agree.
"Yeah, sure. At the very least you'll block off a bit of the cold, right?" You say, earning a chuckle from him.
"I'll do my very best to shield you from the cold, darling."
He settles down facing you, wrapping one arm around you to pull you closer to his chest.
You try your best to relax, but your body still tenses around him, even when you try to just swallow down your feelings.
You lie in silence for a while, until Astarion sighs.
"Is everything alright, dear? You've been acting a little off lately. I wasn't sure if I should mention it at all, but to be honest, I am a little worried." His tone is serious, void of the usual playfulness in his voice.
Damn it. He noticed.
"It's nothing, really," you say, hoping that he'll drop it. Instead, he just looks at you, sceptical.
"Are you sure? You can talk to me, you know." He frowns brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "It's just," he hesitates, like he's unsure of what to say, "I feel like you've started avoiding me ever since I opened up about my feelings. So, I've been thinking, maybe I misread the signs and you actually never wanted to move past… Whatever the hells it was we had before," he rambles. Then, a little quieter, he adds, "You know, I've never done this whole relationship thing, and I really don't want to make a fool of myself by pursuing someone who doesn't like me that way." He lets out a nervous chuckle.
Oh hells no.
"Make a fool out of you?" The words break out of you, louder and angrier than intended. "What about me, who made a fool out of herself the whole time thinking you actually liked me?" You should stay composed, calm yourself before you say something you regret, but at that moment, all the complicated feelings you've been having swirl together and explode within you. "You didn't stop once to think about that, did you? But when it's about you having to deal with something unpleasant, suddenly it's a problem. Don't you think that's a little selfish of you?"
By the way Astarion looks at you, you'd think he'd just been slapped. Then he averts his eyes and you feel his hands tightening, gripping the back of your shirt.
"Right," he sighs. "I deserve to be called selfish, I suppose."
Astarion takes a deep breath, his jaw clenching as he thinks about what to say next, before he relaxes it again. "I know what I did to you was wrong. I manipulated you and you didn't deserve that. At all." His voice quivers a little as he continues to speak. "And I know it's no excuse, but this is what I've done for two centuries. Manipulate people to avoid getting hurt. I have no damn idea how to navigate a relationship with someone who isn't trying to make me suffer at every turn, or someone who I know will meet a terrible end because of me."
He looks at you again with a pained expression. "I really do care about you, despite what I've done, you know? I didn't intend to care about you, but you crushed all my intentions just by being your wonderful, amazing self. And if you're willing to give me another chance, I promise to make this right. I promise I won't ever try to deceive you again. I want to be someone worthy of your love and I'll do what I can to be that kind of person."
This time you're absolutely certain that he's sincere. There's not a sliver of doubt in your mind about that.
You don't even realize that you haven't said anything in a while until you notice Astarion grow increasingly nervous, looking at you like he expects you to cuss him out and tell him to leave any second.
You grab his hand and press a kiss to his palm. "I am willing to give you a chance," you say, seeing the instant wave of relief rush over his face. "I know you're new to all of this, and I know you've been through a lot. I should've talked about this sooner instead of just avoiding you. And I shouldn't have yelled earlier either. So I'm sorry as well."
Astarion presses his forehead against yours, pulling you into a close hug. "So things are good between us now, right?"
You nod, leaning in to kiss his cheek before nuzzling into his chest. "Yeah, everything's alright."

“Y/n left me.”
The limousine you are in is completely black, save for the white lines being measured out right next to you.
“What?” says Jenni.
“She left me,” Alexia says once more. The hotel room is a non-committal beige. They lie in the same bed, the older of the two welcoming her lost teammate wordlessly and without judgement. Tomorrow, they will return to Barcelona, losers yet another time. “She moved back to london. She took Nico.”
“She can’t just take Nico, can she?”
“Y/n, how’s Nico?” Your stomach turns, but whether that is provoked by the thought of the baby boy you left crying in your father’s arms or by the white powder outlining the rim of the woman’s nostrils, you don’t know.
Your son’s creasing eyes, red face, and grabbing hands appear in front of you. He screams as you walk away. He doesn’t understand why he has not smelt Alexia in weeks, and he misses the comfort of home.
Everyone waits for your answer. No one comments on the bags under your eyes. “He's fine,” you say with a smile. “He loves it here.”
“I think she is depressed,” Alexia tells Jenni, comforted by the arms wrapped around her waist, holding her close and tightly and reminding her that she is not as alone as you have made her feel. “She told me that she couldn’t be in Barcelona anymore, but she said that without giving me a chance to come with her. Her bags were packed before the conversation started — she might as well have called me from the plane.”
“Are you angry at her?”
“Yes.”
Alexia thinks about it.
“No.”
“No,” you say when they point at your very own line. The drug holds a place of both familiarity and hatred in your heart. The fine, white powder reminds you of greatness – of being the most successful girl group in the UK – but, also, of hospital visits. It’s not a past addiction, but it could have been. You light a cigarette instead, though it will make the vehicle reek.“I can't. I have a son.”
“You’re not a saint.” They boo. “You’re allowed to have fun. I saw you the other day, and you had no qualms with any drugs then.”
“No, I'm not a saint,” you reply. You regret that night — however little you remember. “But I am a mother.”
“Is it that thing? Postpartum?” Jenni asks. “The baby blues are really shitty, I've heard, but they’re not supposed to cripple you. Maybe the relationship has other issues.”
“I'm not angry at her, Jenni,” Alexia repeats. “I miss Nico. He looks like her. He has started to look a lot more like her now.”
“He would definitely suit those sparkly bralettes.” Jenni giggles at the thought.
With an understandable lack of good humour, Alexia ponders something more realistic. “He would suit a Barcelona kit.”
“He would be made for it. You are his mother.”
“I'm not angry at her,” Alexia says for the third time, just to make herself believe it. Just to carve those words into her bones and tell herself that it isn’t anger, what she’s feeling. “I don't want to be angry at her. I think I'm going to see if I can move to arsenal.”
“Don’t you dare.”
“Well, I'm not angry at her.”
“Alexia.” Jenni cups her cheek tenderly. “Ale.” She knows she shouldn’t. She’s not angry at you, and so there is no punishment needed. Not that… Not that kissing Jenni would ever be utilised as a weapon to get back at you. Or that she’d actually kiss her.
“Daddy, I can't get him tonight. No, I don't want to stay over. Daddy, I…” You hate the baby. You hate yourself. You hate that Spain hasn’t done well, and that your fiancée is disappointed that nothing is how it was supposed to be. Alexia is probably lying awake in bed, missing her son, and missing you. You expect one of her teammates to call you soon, and tell her that she needs you. You’re her person. “I'm going to get some sleep and I'll pick him up tomorrow. Probably around lunchtime, okay?”
“Alexia."

"so you." he pointed to her.
"and i." he pointed to himself. "get married."
"we then inherit a trust fund that he and mother had set up for regulus and i when we were to be married and split." he finished explaining his plan."what do you say?”
“what do i say?" she repeated his words after a while. "no— you want to know what i think?"
at his nod she added, "i think that it's a stupid idea."

"is this seat taken?" the voice caught her by surprise, raising her eyes to meet the asker's waiting ones.
"avril normally sits here," she replied, sparing a glance towards his usual seat; there sat lupin, potter and pettigrew bantering like they always did as they waited for the lesson to start. did they have a fight?
"well she's not here." he pointed out with a small smirk, making his way around the table to take a seat despite her words. "i'm sure she can find another spot."
she only bit her tongue, stopping herself from responding. black —whether he was purposely ignoring or genuinely failed to notice how irritated she seemed to be— cleared his throat, asking her a question that should've been expected from him, yet still managed to surprise her.
"are you seeing anyone?"
feeling as though something was stuck in her throat, she muttered quietly, "pardon?"
"you heard me," he said boldly, pulling his things out from his bag. "why is that any of your concerns?" black paused his actions, keeping his head low as he stared into his bag. "it's not," he admitted after a while, "i'm just curious."
she said nothing, watching as he continued rummaging his bag for his supplies. black lifted his head back up; quill in hand, his grey eyes meeting hers. "are you not going to answer my question sweetheart?"
"i'm not," she said eventually, turning towards the front of the class. "i'm not seeing anyone right now."

it was late, she was tired; extremely tired but sleep didn't seem like it will be making its way to her anytime soon. lily had asked to meet her after class, when she asked why she couldn't just tell her more about the issue during their lunch break lily quickly told her that she had a prefects meeting to attend to (as if lupin eyes didn't grow wide, giving away that it was clearly a lie).
still, she went to the gryffindor's tower anyway, at the exact same place and time that lily had asked to meet her but the redhead wasn't there. instead there was potter, letting her into the common room and insisting that she wait on one of the couches instead of going up to the dorm to see her.
it wasn't until two minutes later when black showed up, sitting down besides her with a —somewhat— uncomfortable look (that didn't suit his handsome features at all) did she realize that this was another one of lily's lie.
"look," black started. helga, whatever did happen to hello, or how are you?, people really just skip to the point now these days. "i'm sure you're wondering why i'm here instead of evans and i will tell you that but i need you to hear everything first before you react, will you be able to do that?"
merlin, gryffindors are weird. "i'll try?"
"great, trying will do." he smiled charmingly, shuffling his weight so he could properly meet her eye to eye. "i have a..." he trailed off thinking to himself, "proposition?"
black licked his lips, mustering up his courage to continue on with his words. "listen, i hate my father and i'm positively sure that he hates me too but he is filthy rich so i curated a-" he paused, considering his next words "-plan of sort."
"so you." he pointed to her.
"and i." he pointed to himself. "get married."
"we then inherit a trust fund that he and mother had set up for regulus and i when we were to be married and split." he finished explaining his plan. "both the money and our relationship, you can go on your merry way and i on mine." he was searching her for a reaction, she knew that, she could feel his eyes roaming around for the most minuscule of movements that came from her. "what do you say?"
she was too stunned to speak; speechless at the shock of it all, it didn't help that his recap was half-assed. "what do i say?" she repeated his words after a while. "no— you want to know what i think?"
at his nod she added, "i think that it's a stupid idea."
black frowned at her words. "honestly, i think it's a solid plan, we just need to get married— we don't even need to be in love! just get married and you get money! it's that easy! it's not like i'm forcing you to join a cult-" to that she opened her mouth, trying to state that the noble house of black itself is a cult but sirius was quick to read her expression, shutting her up by continuing with his pleading, "-besides, i'm not bad looking and great company from what i've been told!"
"well if you're such great company why don't you go find someone else to be fake married to? i'm sure that they'll be plenty of girls lining up for the chance to be your fake wife."
"i don't want any of the other girls, i want you. you're not currently seeing anyone so no one will get hurt from this!" he replied, running a hand through his hair in a stressful manner. this was not how he had planned for it to go. "and i— i want it to be with someone i know and i just so happen to know you."
choosing to ignore how black both admitted that he wanted her for this specific purpose, or how the question that he had asked hours priors to this was in an ulterior motive, she exclaimed. "you also know dorcas. ask her! she's a great girl!" her voice was loud enough for the said girl to turn to her direction with a questioning look. "or marlene, she's extremely good looking."
"i can't," he retorted, sounding the slightest bit annoyed, "everyone and their mother knows marlene swings the other way."
"how are you sure i don't swing the other way then?"
"i don't— do you?" he asked with sudden interest. sirius shook his head, going back to the topic at hand when he stated, "the minimum that you'll get out of this is a million galleons, that's the minimum! i know there's more in that trust fund and i am willing to split it equally."
she thought about it for brief second before asking, "why me? and do not tell me because i'm someone you know because we barely know each other; i only came here to see lily but obviously i was tricked, so tell me why i should agree to this?"
black sighed, his voice growing grim when he answered, "you're the only girl i'm willing to invest in." he paused, maybe those weren't the smartest word choices but he was a flirt not a romantic and the difference had never been made clearer. "so won't you just... think about it, please."
•••
"are you going to do it?" lily asked, settling herself on the seat across from her. please lord, let her finish her essay in peace. "are you still mad at me? c'mon [name] i said i was sorry!"
and here she thought she would be safe in the library.
"i still have the rights to be mad about it," she retorted, keeping her head focused on finishing her work. "you made me sit through that god awful plan!"
"only because i thought you'd agree!" that grabbed her attention, making her turn to the person with an incredulous look. "you're extremely easy going so you could at least stand one another and it's a lot of money!"
"lily, you think i'd marry black for the money? i barely know the guy!"
"then think of it as an opportunity to get to know one another!" she exclaimed loud of enough to get the pair shushed by the librarian. "i mean i personally would for that kind of money."
"then you marry him!"
"no that's weird, i'm in love with his best friend!" she argued in return, a disgusted look on her face. "plus i can't stand him, i could barely talk to him for an hour without lecturing him let alone plan a whole wedding with him."
"i'm not going to marry a stranger."
"he isn't. think of it this way, by the time you finish all the planning he'd be a friend to you," she said, "or you know, something more than friends," she teased with a soft smile.
"lily, a divorce takes at least six months to be finalized. that's half of a year of my life being spent with someone i have no romantic feelings for." she replied, trying to get her friend to understand her reasonings. "not to mention the amount of paperwork i'd have to go through."
the head girl huffed, admitting to herself that she had made good points. she spoke again, this time a lot softer, drawing her into her, "black really needs this."
"he's been living at the potter's after leaving home and if he does get this; he and his brother could get a flat where they'd finally be free from that terrible place," she said slowly, "well at least i think that's why he's planning on doing this. he never told me why exactly, just that he wanted to scam his family."
"i don't think he'd ever tell me the real reason as to why he wants to do this but he doesn't owe me the truth." it was clear that she cared for him, lily's heart was too big for her own good.
"fine, i'll think about it," she muttered, defeated.
lily gave her look, one of disapproval. "you've been saying that ever since you found out about the plan. you don't expect me to believe you when you say it now do you?"
"okay, well i promise that i'd think about it for real this time, is that good for you?"
"it's more than good." she smiled happily.
it was a week later and she had kept her promise to lily, thinking over every possible outcome of what could be the results on the marriage would be:
1. they get married, everything goes according to plan, they get divorce, she becomes a millionaire.
or 2. they get married, the promise of money was fake, she was stuck with him for the rest of her life.
or 3. they get married, everything goes according to plan, she catches feelings for him, she becomes a millionaire with the desire of a man she cannot have.
but maybe that was her dwelling on the negative, not everything is always bad. right?
right?
her eyes scanned the corridor, looking between the crowds of students who were making their way back to their common room after a day of lessons for a group of four rowdy boys. after spotting them, she held onto her bag's strap, ensuring that they won't move when she made her way through the bustling crowd.
with a call of his name, black turned; halting his step as he waited for her to catch up. his friends stood beside him with a curious look. "i thought i'd never see you again," he said with a smile, "you've been ignoring me like the plague."
"you are the plague," she retorted, "if i stayed close to you for long enough you're narcissism will rub off on me." sirius only chuckled, knowing that her comment was light hearted. he looked down at her, meeting eye to eye; silently prompting her to talk about why she decided to call after him. "i thought about it."
to that his grey eyes lit up with recognition, now awaiting the answer that she'd give him whether it be bad or good. "and i thought why not? a million galleons to babysit a gryffindor is an easy pay."
sirius grinned. "great."
"great," she repeated awkwardly, "although i'd have to talk to my parents about it first. i wouldn't want to deal with them if they found out i had eloped."
"it's a good thing i already talked to them then," he said, his smile getting wider when her face dropped. "you what?"
"i knew that you'd need your parents approval so i reached out to them," he spoke while he started leading the way towards the great hall, "they like me."
"black when did you talk to them?" she asked him urgently, why hadn't anyone from her family reached out to her about this? were they planning on leaving her in the dark?
"when i asked you to think about it."
"after you left for your common room i wrote them a letter, your mother agreed to meet me and we talked it through," he added easily, "i of course told her it was because i'm in love with you and wanted nothing more than for you to be mine —keeping the lie going, you know? she told me to talk about it with you but i already did, i just needed an answer from you."
"and now that i've got it. i just need our parents to finalize our betrothal." he finished his words, meeting her gaze.
she shook her head, not believing him. "how did you even find out where they live? i've never once told you where i live."
"i just told the owl to find mister or missus [l/name], it was a simple as that." there was an air of obviousness to his tone, as if she should've figured it out by now but he still answered her anyways. "now can we have dinner? i'm starving."
•••
the words about sirius black and [f/name]'s engagement spread fast. hell, it has barely been three days before a fourth year approached her, asking her if the rumors were true before they sobbed at her answers. their nightmares was coming true.
sirius black was no longer single.
the rumors were okay for the most part, for it was true yet it brought her nothing but an unsettling feeling when she heard her name being whispered in the hallways. even now, as she was sitting at her house's table; barely paying attention to her friend's playful banter did the gossip follow her.
"have you selected a date yet?" avril asked, buttering her toast while she looked at her friend. "yup, his mother wanted a summer wedding, august to be specific. pure-blood accustoms or something," she replied with mild interest, stirring her tea. avril frowned. "it's your wedding, shouldn't you be the one making the decisions?"
"you'd think so," she retorted, lifting her mug to her lips, "but his mum's a nasty witch." she took a sip of her tea before placing it back down on the table. "we met her this weekend where she told us her plans for our wedding."
"she also gave me the black family's engagement ring," she added, lifting her left hand up. on the ring finger laid a dainty silver band that resembled a serpent of sort with a green diamond on top. it was no where near the traditional muggle engagement ring but it was beautiful in its own way. "it's an heirloom and to be completely honest i'm scared wearing it. what if i turned into you know who or something?"
avril laughed good-naturedly, amused by the situation. "honestly, a million galleons would not be enough for me to get involved with the blacks."
"well i've already bought the ticket and there's no turning back now." she shrugged, dropping her eyes to the table. "plus, sirius is actually a decent person to keep around."
"really?" she asked testingly, chewing on her toast.
"really." she nodded. "we have astronomy together and he's incredibly useful. black knows everything about it since his family are named after them. i think he's growing on me." she added. "although every time i remember i'm technically his investment, i second guess that idea."
"what do you mean you second guess that idea?," cut in eric, a ravenclaw who was dragged into their small friend group by avril. "who wouldn't want to marry a man who calls you an investment."
she opened her mouth, a sarcastic remark at the tip of her tongue when the owls flew into the great hall in one large flock; instantly heading towards their respective owner. she hadn't expected any mails today, she was all caught up with the wedding plans along with the letters from her family. so imagine her surprise when one of the many owls soared down, perching on the table in front of her, waiting with a wrapped parcel between its feet.
her eyes raised to meet her friend's curious ones, all of them wondering what's within the wrappings and most importantly who it was from. she hesitated, unsure whether she should take the package from the owl. with a prod from eric, she reached out; untying the parcel from the owl.
the owl flew away immediately, retreating to the crowd of birds. it didn't take long for her to realize what it was, "flowers."
"they're flowers," she repeated, holding up the arrangements for her friend to see, "they're really pretty." she added, biting back a smile. helga, it felt good getting flowers.
"who's it from?" avril asked excitedly.
she looked down, there was card tied to the strings of the bouquet, "black."
"oh," eric muttered, "of course he did, he's your fiancé after all."
"yeah, but it's not why he got it for me," she said, staring down at the card, "it's a thank you gift for dealing with his mother." she giggled, she separated the card from the strings before handing it over to her friend, "here look."
i know my mother is a bitch, thank you for talking to her. you made her tolerable.
- sirius black
now if she remembered correctly, the gryffindor table was seated to her right. with that knowledge in mind, she turned; wanting to thank black for his gift only to find him —coincidentally, sitting with his back to her. she poked at his shoulder, trying to steal his attention from his friend.
he turned reluctantly, looking (maybe more than) a tad bit annoyed only for his eyes to soften when he realized it was her. it took him another second to realize what she was holding before he said, "i see you've got the flowers."
"i did." she smiled, an action that he quickly copied. "i also got your message."
"i knew you would."
of course he would. "right." there was an air of awkwardness that she couldn't quite explain. "well thank you for this, it's lovely sirius."
his smile widened. she wasn't sure why it widened but she was incredibly grateful for it. how could one person's smile be so breathtaking?
"it's no problem. i'm glad you like it my love."
•••
"good evening." an unexpected greeting came, making me her jump from her spot. she looked up from her bed, only to find the source of the voice smirking down at her in amusement. "did i surprise you darling?"
it was pretty evident that his sudden presence startled her. "of course you did dumbass. who even let you in here? i could've been naked!"
"but you aren't," he quipped smugly.
"i could've been!"
"and yet you aren't."
"you're impossible," she grumbled, "are you going to tell me how you got here or not?"
"how i got into your dorm?" he asked, still standing by her bed.
"where else?!" she replied, sitting up and shuffling her blankets away. despite her hostile tone, she made space for him to sit down, patting it slightly to indicate that he could sit if he wanted to. sirius gladly accepted the offer, making himself comfortable while he thought of an answer. "well?"
"i just told the first years i was your fiancé." he shrugged, his smirk still prominent. "they didn't even think to hesitate."
"of course they won't, you're you," she retorted, looking into his eyes. "are you going to tell me why you're here then?"
"what? i can't just come to see you because i missed you? you're my bride to be after all," he teased playfully, holding her gaze.
"no," she smiled unkindly at him, "you can not. now will you tell me why you're really here?"
"alright," he huffed, for a brief second she thought she saw his shoulders deflate, but he was quick to recover, asking her, "you know tomorrow is a hogsmeade weekend don't you?"
at her nod, he continued, "well i wanted you to meet my brother."
"regulus?" she asked dumbfoundedly, brows furrowing together. "why?"
"i uhm-" he stuttered, seeming embarrassed? that was unlike him. "-i wanted you two to approve of each other."
"hmm?" she hummed to signal that she was listening while also simultaneously prompting him to go on.
"i wanted regulus to meet you, and like you and i also wanted you to meet him —and like him." he explained, breaking eye contact to stare at his hand sheepishly. "i want my brother to like you since we're going to get married and all that."
"sirius," she started attentively, "he doesn't need to like me, our marriage is fake remember? it'll be over in a blink of an eye, i'm just trying to help you out."
"yeah, i know that," he said frustratingly. "still, he's my brother, he is important to me; and despite him already knowing that our marriage is a false one, i want the two of you to like each other."
she considered his words. eric will throw a tantrum when he finds out about this. "alright, what time shall we meet?"
•••
maybe running down the stairs of the entrance hall at full speed wasn't the best idea but she was late and sometimes being late justify being a menace to everyone surrounding her. sometimes.
if that sometimes is being late to meet your soon to be husband's brother of course, one that you desperately needed approval from. one who has been waiting for your arrival with his brother for —atleast 15 minutes now. she felt incredibly sorry for making them wait but honestly, it wasn't her fault her hair decided not to cooperate with her this morning.
she wanted to look her best for them, first impressions matter after all. what would it say about her if she should up with frizzy hair that stuck out in every direction possible.
"there you are!" sirius exclaimed, approaching her the moment he spotted her, "c'mon the carriage's leaving, let's not be late."
listening to his words, she did what she was told, following him and his brother into an empty carriage. "i'm so sorry for making you wait, i didn't mean to, i was getting ready and before i knew it i lost track of time-"
"it's okay," regulus cut in, his eyes scanning her every expression. "we weren't waiting that long," he added, trying to reassure her, "the carriage was already planning on leaving when we got there so we technically only waited mere minutes."
fuck, he's charming. "i'm regulus black, you must be [name]?"
"i am, it's nice to finally meet you." she smiled, offering him her hand. she should've expected it, really she should've, with him being from an aristocratic family and all but regulus lifting her hand to press a gentle kiss on it still stunned her. she cleared her throat, "sirius has told me quite a lot about you."
"he has? and here i thought he was ashamed of me." he arched an eyebrow, whether he was teasing her or being genuine she could not tell.
"how could he possibly be ashamed of you, he's not even ashamed of himself." at that regulus chuckled, his smile no different from sirius'.
sirius rolled his eyes, watching their playful interaction with a small satisfied smile on his face. "i'm glad that the both of you can bond over bullying me," he said as the carriage pulled to a stop, "it's good to know that both my brother and fiancée thinks so highly of me."
sirius got out first, helping her get down from the carriage as best as he could. the three of them made their way to the three broomsticks, wanting a comfortable place where they could sit and chat their heads off.
seeing the black brothers in their natural habitat was entertaining. they were similar in many ways, from the way they talk to the way they carried themself and yet they were so different. sirius preferred to talk and make outward jokes while regulus listened, mumbling sarcastic remarks that had you smiling to yourself at how cheeky it was.
sirius had a habit —she was quick to note— of glancing down at regulus' left arm, a worried look always took place when he did so but he was swift in changing his expression. replacing it with a neutral one whenever he caught himself doing so.
regulus was as great company as his brother, charming, and fascinating to a certain extent.
they spent a large majority of their time talking. all of different topics ranging from quidditch to their favorite subject until regulus dropped his eyes to the table where her hand laid, playing with a napkin. "i see mother gave you her ring?"
"yes, she did," she said, her ring finger suddenly feeling heavy, "it's beautiful."
"it doesn't look very you," sirius joined in, pointing out the obvious. "it's still beautiful sirius, it doesn't need to be very me." his brow furrowed, countering, "but that's not good enough, it's your engagement ring after all."
"in case you've forgotten, i'm marrying you for your money, as of right now i'm the definition of a gold digger," she reminded him with a small smile, "an engagement ring being very me is the least of my concerns."
at that sirius frowned, dropping the topic. regulus stifled a laugh, the corners of his lips curving upwards. "has mother took you dress shopping yet?" he then asked with interest.
"no," she answered, "my mother wanted me to pick a dress of my own, your mother didn't like that idea very much. long story short i have the freedom to pick out whichever dress i want."
regulus pursed his lips, thinking. "i'm glad to hear that. i know mother is exhausting to deal with, i hope you find exactly what you're looking for."
"thank you regulus." the door bell rang to signify someone's entrance, the said boy turned, spotting a girl standing by the door before turning back towards his brother; pink creeping onto his cheeks. "is that her?"
he nodded sheepishly. "we'll leave you to it then," she said, standing up from their booth; she grabbed onto sirius wrist, smirking down at him in hopes that he knew of her plan. sirius got the memo, holding onto her hand before briskly bidding his brother goodbye. "do you think they'll end up getting married to scam your family like us?"
sirius laughed as the pair left the inn, walking down the streets that were so fond of. "probably not. i don't think he has it in he."
"i didn't think i had it in me to marry someone for his money at 17 either but here i am," she replied sarcastically, looking up at him. it was then did she realized that they were holding hands, she hesitated; not sure whether to pull away or to keep holding onto him. his hand was warm, it felt nice.
sirius, as if he had read her mind decided to squeeze it reassuringly. "can i take you somewhere?"
"hmm?"
"there's a shop around the corner," he said, maintaining eye contact, "can i get you something from there?"
"oh sirius you don't need to get me anything-"
"i know i don't need to," he cut in softly, "i want to. so i can please take you there?"
she thought about it briefly, knowing full well that her answer would be yes because who was she to deny him anything. "what is it that you wanted to get me?"
sirius broke into a smile, turning to lead the way. "do you remember how i said that the ring wasn't very you?"
"the thing you said barely 10 minutes ago? yes i do."
"good," he muttered, turning the corner, his grip on her hand never once faltering, "because i want to get you want that actually does feel like you."
"sirius i already told you it doesn't matter, you've already bought me flowers and that's more than i could ask for."
sirius paused for a split second, pursing his lips. "look, if i don't get this for you then how would people know you're mine? that ring is no where good enough for you," he questioned, leading them into the store. he held the door open, smiling at the shop's clerk who was ecstatic to see a customer. "just think of this as my thank you for marrying me gift."
"i don't think that's real thing sirius," she said, stilling besides him as he looked at the different rings the employee had put on show.
"it doesn't need to be real if it's what is needed in order for me to spoil you," he muttered in return, his full focus on studying the different rings. finally he picked out one he thought best resembled her. sirius took off his mother's ring, placing it in his pocket and slipped the new ring on her finger. "what do you think?"
"i think it's beautiful."
"i can't really take that as an answer love, you also said that about dear mother's ring."
"fine, i think it's magnificent. i love it sirius." she smiled, eyes glancing between him and ring.
"it's perfect then," he muttered, taking it off and handing it to the clerk for it to be sized. "that will be  our engagement ring."
it was later on that night, with avril and eric passed out on her bed after discussing their outfit plans for her wedding did she opened up the box that contained the new ring.
she lifted it out, examining it when something caught her eyes. engraved into the back of the ring wrote: yours S.B
•••
avril loved throwing parties, she loved plying people with food and making sure they were enjoying their time, she loved gathering her friends round a circle to play silly games that captured the true essence of adolescent. avril loved everything that one could love about parties.
so when she told her friends that she wanted to throw one in the hufflepuff's common room it was in their nature to help out. it was sunday, dinner had just finished and the common room was empty, each person in their own respective dorms getting ready when eric and [name] made their journey out, heading towards the kitchens for as much snacks as they could gather.
facing the broad stone basement corridor, it brightly lit and decorated with food-themed paintings, she reached out to tickle the pear on the painting. the  pear giggled, turning itself into a large green door handle that revealed the entrance. she took the first step, entering the kitchens with eric behind her.
"what are you doing here?"
her eyes widened, not expecting anyone besides herself and eric to be in the kitchens at this time. "i could ask you the same thing sirius."
"i asked you first."
she turned, briefly looking at eric for help but her effort was to no avail, the ravenclaw was as at a loss for words as she was. "i'm here to grab some snacks, we're throwing a party and it would a pretty shitty one without any food."
"oh," he muttered, "no wonder you look so pretty."
"you're wearing the ring," sirius pointed out after minute, gesturing towards her finger. was all conversations between two people who would be married to one another always this strained?
"i am," she said, looking down towards the ring, "how could i not? you bought it for me."
there was the silence again; her, eric, sirius and his friends all awkwardly glancing at one another. "oh! uhm- eric this is sirius, my fiancé and sirius this is eric, my friend."
"nice to meet you," sirius smiled, offering him a hand. eric hesitated, eyes drifting towards to her direction, she tilted her head slightly, an action he took as cue to accept sirius hand.
eric shooked it, smiling in return when he spoke, "i know she's marrying you for your money." sirius smiled dropped, slightly taken aback when eric added, "i'm sure potter knows it too, doesn't he?"
in truth potter did know, sensing by the way his shoulder tensed up at the pretense of him knowing. eric had a weird way of wording things, making everything seems hostile when it wasn't supposed to be. helga, why does men have to make everything so hard?
"eric you can grab the cheesecake?" she asked, making their attention shift to her, "i need to have a word with sirius about the wedding, then i'll grab the punch and meet you back outside."
"i'll see you in a bit." after she waved her friend off, she grabbed onto sirius' arm, pulling him towards a secluded spot where his friends wouldn't be able to eavesdrop on their conversation. she looked at him hesitatingly, studying his expression before asking, "are you mad at me?"
sirius frowned, furrowing his brows in concern. "no," he answered, "why would i be mad at you?"
"i dunno." he was taller than her, having to look down in order for their eyes to meet. "i just thought that maybe eric had said something to upset you."
"he's a bit... straight forward, no subtlety whatsoever," she added, "also a little untrusting at first but he's very kind, he's a great guy." the way his gaze hardened at her words, turning from attentive to resentful didn't go unnoticed by her. is he sure he's not mad at her?
"i'm not mad at you," sirius said softly, consoling her, "nor am i mad at your friend."
"then why do you seem so uneasy? especially when you're with your friends? you're never like that."
sirius pursed his lips, thinking. "because," he started, a smile tugging on his lips, "you look very pretty, and i just happen to not know how to act around pretty people."
she scoffed, rolling her eyes despite feeling her cheeks flush at his words. "right, of course."
"love, i'm being serious!"
"of course you are you're sirius!"
"hey! i'm being truthful here," he argued, chuckling slightly, seeing her flustered over a compliment had to be his new favorite thing. "you look as pretty as a picture."
she smiled, brushing it off. "that's sweet of you to say." noting how his eyes was lingering onto her every movement. "but you're still not welcomed to the party."
sirius laughed, throwing his head back at the lame joke she made. his words was never meant to be anything more than praise, wanting her to know just how breathtaking he thought she looked. "that's a shame, i was looking forward to get a taste of that cheesecake."
"better luck next time," she said, biting her lips. "i think i should go now."
"i think so too," he replied after composing himself, still smiling down at her due to their height differences. "it's unfair to keep my darling away from them for too long."
she watched as he took a calculated step forward, bringing the front of their shoes to contact. staring up at him, she felt her breath get caught in her throat.
leaning down abruptly, sirius pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead; her eyes fluttering shut at the warm contact. he stepped back then, he smiled once more, "invite me next time, won't you?"
•••
next time came in the form of a gryffindor party instead. it was james potter's birthday and it would be an understatement to say that the marauders went all out. despite the party being a "secret", the room of requirement was packed with students from every house that is cool enough to join an inter-house party.
upon arrival she was quick to spot regulus, introducing him to avril and eric who he both charmed his ways with them. eric and regulus, both cut-throat people bonded easily, making good natured jokes about how big of a mistake it was that she chose to marry sirius. eventually the slytherin led them to the life of the party.
"[name]!" james cheered excitedly, walking towards her with open arms, his face flushed. she returned his hug, turning towards his friend with a confused look only to receive chuckles from them. pulling away james grinned at her, slurring "i'm so happy you're here!"
right, he's drunk. "and i'm so happy to be here james," she replied, making him his smile stretch out even wider. "although i'm not too late am i? it seems like i missed out on the fun."
"oh no don't worry," lily shook her head, answering for him, "he just wanted to be that shit faced drunk person of every party."
"ah," she nodded in acknowledgment. "oh, uhm- i hope you don't mind, i brought some friends?"
"no it's okay, the more the merrier," lily smiled kindly, taking one look at them before noting, "eric from potions and avril from care of magical creatures."
"weird way to identify me but i've been called worse," avril said light-heartedly, earning smiles from their small group. "now, would you be kind enough to show me where the booze is?"
"it's just right around the corner, i can get some for you actually," lily offered, being the good host that she is, "[name], peter, would you mind helping me?"
"oh," she muttered not expecting herself to be mentioned. "no i don't," she smiled, taking the hand that lily offered and following off behind her.
"so," avril started, turning to sirius, "she looks great doesn't she?"
sirius nodded, not thinking much about his actions. she really did look beautiful tonight, although —if he really thought about it— there wasn't a day where he didn't think she wasn't good-looking.
"you like her don't you?"
remus, with his curiosity now piqued, dropped his head, leaning down to hear their conversation over the loud music. regulus doing the same, finding the topic of his brother's real love-life intriguing. "yeah pads," remus started tauntingly, "you fancy her don't you?"
"i hate you did you know that?"
"avoidance is not an answer black," eric commented with a small smirk, "if you fancy her just say it."
"i don't," sirius stated, his tone now on edge, "i mean it, i only care for her as a friend and nothing more."
it was the truth, as of right now he thought of her as a friend that just had some extra steps to it. she was kind and pretty but so was lily and regulus' new girlfriend but that didn't mean he was attracted to them. really, whether they want to believe it or not, sirius could be friends with a woman and not be in love with them.
"are you sure princess?" eric added, provoking him. sirius rolled his eyes, now used to the (for the lack of better words) asshole demeanor that eric had. "alright, i'll leave you to it," he said with a condescending smile, "but just so you know, [name] is the shit faced drunk at every party."
"and potter does not stand a chance at taking that position from her."
"speaking of the devil," avril murmured, breaking apart from their small group to welcome the two girls with open arms, refusing the spiked punch that lily offered for a shot of firewhisky that she immediately downed when her friend handed it to her. "you know me so well."
"i'm really the best aren't i?" she joked, turning towards sirius; she smiled up at him, an action that he copied and handed him a shot of firewhisky as well. sirius shook his head, opting on a butterbeer that peter handed him. "you're not drinking?"
"i'm not," he replied, taking a sip that resulted in foam being stuck on his upper lip. she frowned, disappointed, "why not? it's your best mate's birthday!" sirius only stuck with his decision, deciding to stay sober so he could take care of james whilst lily had her fun. "don't worry darling, i know how to have fun without getting drunk."
"what a shame, i brought these with me for nothing," she said, staring down at the three shot cups between her finger, "well i better not waste it then."
and with that she downed one, grimacing at the taste right after. she held another shot for remus who took it with a polite smile; the pair cheered, drinking the shots, for the party has officially started.
"pads," came james, pouting, "mate my throats dry," he complained, eyes going heavy. "will you be so kind to grab me a cup of water?"
from the corner of his eyes sirius spied lily talking to some of her friends, seeming just the slightest bit under the influence. "sod off prongs, go find your girlfriend."
at the other side of the room was [name]. the alcohol had hit her about an hour after her initial shots, drunkenly laughing at every joke that remus made as the two of them found themselves to be partners in drunken crime. remus chuckled, throwing his head back with a punch still in his hand, she sat besides him, listening to the story he was telling with a small smile.
"honestly, at one point during fourth year i had considered starting a hogwarts protection group from those two maniacs," the brunette said, incredulous by how stupid his fourteen year olds idea was. "i was part of the pranks too but still."
she only snorted, finding everything funny in her current inebriated state. as she opened her mouth, ready to tell him a funny story of her own sirius approached, a cup of water in hands. "hullo dear husband."
"hello," he greeted in return, handing her the cup of water, "i think you've had enough my love," he said patiently, ignoring the cringed looks that remus was sending him. "drink this so you won't feel so hung over tomorrow morning."
"sirius if i can handle getting married to you then i can handle being hung over on a tuesday." despite her comment, she drank the water anyways. alcohol sure does make your throat dry out. "you know you don't look like you're having too much fun."
"i don't?"
"you don't," she said, getting onto her feet to face him eye to eye. she placed a hand on his shoulder to steady herself, looking at him with an intoxicated gaze. pulling her hand away, she exclaimed enthusiastically, "anyways, me and remus are going to dance, have fun being sober!"
and with that she left, hand pulling at remus so the lanky boy would follow after her. sirius' eyes trailed after them, noting how they both were bad dancers and yet did not seem to be stopping anytime soon. it wasn't long until eric, tipsy enough to be nice to anyone other than avril and [name], dragged sirius onto the dance floor as well.
she found her way to him, smiling as she moved badly to the beat. she said something that she couldn't quite hear; sirius leaned down, his ear close to her mouth, ensuring that he could hear her over the loud music. with a drunken giggle, she told him, "you're so handsome."
he pulled back to his full height, looking at her with amusement. "thank you chérie, 'preciate it."
•••
"do you still think i'm handsome?"
"shut up," she scowled, ignoring the delighted look that sirius had from eliciting such response. "i don't want to deal with you right now."
"why not? you thought i was handsome last night and now you suddenly despise me?" he teased quietly, not wanting to distract other people with their conversation.
"sirius i'm too hungover for this right now," she said, trying to keep her eyes straight at the board. oh how she missed the days where avril was sat beside her. "and if you say something along the line of i told you so, i will hex you into oblivion."
sirius bit his lips, holding back his tongue from stating that he did warn her about this. instead he commented, "you know i think i like you a lot better when you're drunk."
"and i like you better when you don't speak but we both can't have what we want now can we?"
"actually," sirius said matter-of-factly, "i've already gotten what i wanted."
"and what's that?"
"you."
"not the drunk you but having you is good enough for me," he clarified, "but i can always count on avril to bring out my favorite version of you-"
sirius continued to talk, but no sounds came out. don't you just love the silencio charm? she patted his thigh, causing him to pause in order to look at her. she smiled at him kindly, her expression the direct opposite of her next words. "you are so annoying right now."
•••
"your mother picks the worst time for us to meet her," she said, not once bothering to greet him. maybe he was rubbing off on her. "i mean seriously, couldn't she have planned to see the venue on a hogsmeade weekend."
she closed the hufflepuff's door behind her, walking to his side. sirius shifted his weight off of the pillar he was waiting for her at and started leading the way, "i've just had a long day of school and now i have to be nice to her. no offense boys, but i hate your mother."
regulus let out a small laugh, smiling at her words. "no offense taken [name], we hate her too."
"good," she said cheekily, "i'm glad we have that in common."
they made their way up to the great hall, then up again towards their usual passage beneath the one-eyed witch statue by the stairs. sirius tapped the hump with his wand, muttering a quiet dissendium. the witch's hump open just wide enough for a person to slide down to the hidden passageway.
sirius went through first, pushing his way up into honey duke, regulus followed soon after, leaving her last. with help from sirius, she climbed up the ladder, shutting the trap door below her.
sirius helped her make her way out of honey dukes and into the streets of hogsmeade. after reaching their destination, a spot that allowed for them to apparate, he let go off her hand, knowing that she (like him) was legal and could apparate on their own while regulus on the other hand. their unofficial adopted child, could not.
regulus, now used to being babied whenever he traveled with the couple made his way between them, letting sirius throw his arm around his shoulder while [name] slipped her arm around his waist. with a flick of both their wands, their small group landed in a secluded alley way where their wedding venue would be held.
the pair let go off him, heading towards one another and —as of muscle memory— interlocked their fingers, holding hands like they always did when they were to fake their relationship. the three walked, pushing pass the grand door and quickly spotting both walburga and her mother.
it was the second week of june, the finals had passed,  their NEWTs were completed. it was two weeks before the school year ended and roughly two months away from their wedding. it would be a lie if she said she wasn't nervous, she was, of course she was. marriage was a scary thing —especially when you're marrying into a family with old money who also simultaneously praises dark magic.
"mother," sirius said with a small bow, greeting her as politely as he could. "and missus [l/name], you look as gorgeous as ever."
her mother smiled, dismissing his compliment with a wave of her hand. "no need to flatter me, i've already approved of you sirius."
he smiled, feeling proud of himself for some reason he couldn't pin point. walburga coughed, causing the other four people to turn to her, giving them her full attention. by her side stood a short women with short blond hair, "shall we get started?"
the five followed her through a path that she had prepared, using magic to help visualize the venue the way both mothers wanted it. there was a hall that led into the main ballroom, its ceiling high with fancy chandeliers. her mum who had wanted a more natured feel to their wedding, asked if the person who was showing the venue, andria, could incorporate plants to the walls.
andria followed through her request, and within a flick of her wand the walls were lined up with vines, the ground spilling with purple flowers that made a satisfied smile find its way onto her mother's lips. andria then added a gate for a dramatic flair, making the hall seemed ethereal in its own way.
"this is nice," sirius murmured just loud enough for her to hear. she turned her eyes away from the various plants to him, finding him already looking back at her. "it is."
they then moved towards the ballroom, with it already being set up due to walburga's perfectionist personality; the couple stood in awe. this would've been the wedding of their dreams had they been actually in love.
looking down the isle, she found herself drifting off for a second, imagining her friends waiting by her side while her husband stood happily by his. softly she muttered, knowing that sirius could hear her despite how quiet her words was, "do you think you could cry when i walk down that isle?"
sirius watched her, considering her words for a moment, "do you want me to?"
"yeah..." she trailed off, tearing her eyes away from the isle to look at him. "i mean i bought a beautiful dress so you better cry, if not then i might just have to cancel the wedding right then and there."
sirius let out a small laugh, finding her request incredulous. "okay, i'll try then."
"thank you."
"it's no problem, i'll try anything for you."
•••
the school year ended, the pair passing the NEWTs with flying colors and now the only thing they had to worry about was the wedding.
during the first week after their graduation sirius had invited her to stay at his place, an offer that she was quick to decline. her mother was a pain to deal with on a monthly basis already, let alone having to live with her for as long as it took until their wedding came.
instead she agreed to come by his place, keep him company all the whilst plan out the final details of the wedding. after coming over for half of july she had grown quite used to his spacious room, with its many plastered posters and pictures that left only little of the walls' silvery-grey silk visible.
now she sat, kicked back on his bed while sirius stood ranting, filling her in on everything his mother had said when she was absent. she thought of anything and everything she could say to reassure him. after a while she stopped him, patting the empty spot besides her for him to take.
for a moment she remembered just how close they were now, not even a year ago she was denying him a seat at her table and now she sat comfortably on his bed as if it was of her own. "do you want me to fight her for you?"
"what?" sirius cracked out a smile.
"she's you know- she's the most unloving, conservative woman i've ever met," she confessed, "but i suppose being married to your cousin does that to you."
sirius chuckled, feeling slightly better by listening to her shit talk his mother. god he hated that woman. "[name], you're absolutely amazing but her being inbred was so unnecessary to bring up."
"like you have a say in this sirius." she gave him a look that he knew was her ridiculing him, causing him to grin. "you're a product of their work."
sirius cringed, feeling disgusted by her insinuation. he then cleared his throat, remembering why he had invited her over in the first place. turning serious, he said carefully, "there's something i've been wanting to ask you."
"what is it?" she prompted him, letting him know that she was listening and for him continue on with his words.
"can i kiss you?"
and before sirius knew it, he was rambling, "for when they announce us as man and wife i just- i wanted to know if you were okay with it before it's time and i kiss you without you being fine with it, i don't want to make you uncomfortable, you've already done so much for me-"
"you can." she cut him off with a small smile, one that brought him nothing but comfort. "it's okay sirius, you can kiss me."
"thank you for asking," she added after a minute.
sirius gazed at her, a small smile breaking onto his face. his eyes glancing down to her lips then back up to her eyes. he knew that she was watching him, watching how his eyes were lingering onto her lips like a tattoo kiss.
there was a cough by the door, making them both turn their attention to it. regulus stood awkwardly, shifting his weight; with his eyes wide, he spoke, "mother sent me."
"she wanted me to make sure that you guys weren't-" regulus let out another cough "-having sex."
•••
august seventh came sooner than she would've liked, maybe it was for the better, having it be over sooner. or maybe it was for the worse, not having been ready to see herself settle down yet. but she knew —despite her doubts— that the show must go on. keeping an even head she breathe in, feeling the air in her lungs before letting it go. it was time.
"are you ready?" eric asked, helping make last adjustments to her wedding dress. "no." she huffed honestly, hearing the orchestra music begin even behind the large door. eric smiled softly at her, letting her father come to her side, "well it's too late now."
she took a deep breath, the doors opening on its on accord in a dramatic manner. charmed rose petals pelted at her feet as she took her steps forward. she  took a moment to look around at who was gathered, and where, but she barely recognized them. a large majority of the people were ones who came to honor the noble house of black name's while the other half were distant family and friends that her mother had invited.
down the isle sirius stood, james, regulus, remus, and peter by his side. watching her walk with clouded eyes, she beamed at him, playing with the bouquet in her hands. when she arrived in front of him she noticed his watery grey eyes. as quietly as she could, she commented, "you're crying."
"i am," he said, agreeing. "i told you i'd try anything for you."
the music cut out, the ceremony was starting. the pair shared cheeky smiles as they listened to the officiant drone on and on, following the normal wedding procedures until it was time for them to recite their vows.
"with this hand i will lift your sorrows. your cup will never be empty, for i will be your wine. with this candle, i will light your way into darkness. with this ring, i ask you to be mine."
sirius slipped a golden band around her finger first, her repeating his actions not long after. sirius stepped forward, his shoes touching her's. leaning down slightly, he pressed his lips onto her, his right arm finding its way on her waist and tugging her ever closer to him.
his cheeks were wet, presumably from the tears he had had. she kissed back, melting underneath his touch. sirius smiles into the kiss, a feeling that she knew she'd never forget. the kiss breaks: her pulling away from him, feeling flustered. and then it was official, they were married, this was just the beginning of the end.
•••
"where should we go for our honeymoon?" she asked suddenly, surprising sirius. they were once again in his room, this time alone, the door close with no regulus standing by to make sure they weren't up to something. "since we're married and all now, i think i deserve a break."
sirius thought for a second, laying down on the cold hard wood floor, a place that he somehow had found solace in. "we have a home in paris if you want to go."
"paris sounds nice," she mumbled. her gown was still on her, having come to his room immediately after the recessionals. she was to live with him now, husband and wife after all. staying with sirius, in his room, alone, for roughly a month, won't be so bad. will it?
"it does," he concurred, "do you want to go?"
"maybe," she said, unsure. "gosh this is awkward."
"what's awkward?" he asked, looking puzzled. from his position on the floor, his eyes searched for her. finding her on his bed, sat with her knees pressed to her chest, looking down at him.
"us right now." she answered, straightening out her legs. he frowned then, even more confused. "the people who attended probably thinks we're going at it right now but we're sat here talking about paris."
"we can go at it if you want," sirius said, sitting up. at the roll of her eyes, he smirked, "i'm not denying you anything, it seems as though i can not."
she threw a pillow at him, one that he expertly caught with one hand. she felt her neck heating up, whether it was from the drinks she had or his words she could not tell. "you're insufferable you know that?"
"i'm anything you want me to be my love."
"stop it or i'll punch you in the throat," she warned. watching as he stood up from his spot and made his way to the empty side of the bed, sirius laid down, inching himself closer to her every second. "are you... trying to seduce me right now?"
"maybe," he murmured, finally landing his head on her thighs, the tool of her dress providing him a sense of cushion. "is it working?"
"no," she answered, giving him a smile that was meant to ridicule him but all it did was make his smirk grow more narcissistic.
"why did you never join the quidditch team?" her hand found it's way into his hair, twisting round the onyx curls. "you were really good at it you know? i saw you sub in during james' practices."
sirius shut his eyes, leaning into her touch when her hand landed on his scalp, scratching it lightly. "i didn't want to compete."
"with who?"
"regulus," he answered softly, "we weren't on good terms when he joined the team and i could not bring myself to handle seeing him. especially not during a time where we were to compete for who would be greater."
"oh." her hands paused its movements on its own accord. "i never thought of it like that."
she thought about him?
"well i also never thought of us going at it until you mentioned it minutes ago," he retorted, earning himself a slap on the arm. good godric, he loved drunk [name]. "the offers still stands you know?"
"baby i wouldn't sleep with you if you were the last man on earth."
sirius cheeks grew pink at her choice of nickname, never once in their roughly eight months long relationship had she called him anything but sirius or black. she noticed it, smiling when she leaned down to face him. "you like being called baby don't you?"
and —for the first and last time ever, sirius told her to, "shut up."
•••
"the man has mummy issues, of course he likes being called baby," eric scoffed. avril laughed, joking at the expense of her friend's husband. "i wouldn't be surprised if he lets you boss him around in bed."
"alright that's enough," she stopped him, hiding a smile. "my lack of sex life should not be the topic of today's conversation. lily here is literally getting married."
"no, no," lily protested, dismissing the topic change, "i'm more fascinated about you and sirius than james' proposal to me."
"seriously?" she asked incredulously, her eyes moving to everyone around the table for at least one person to be on her side. "i feel like i've said this way too much but in case you've forgotten, i married sirius for his money, i don't like him that way and vice versa. me and sirius haven't slept together."
"but you want to," marlene pointed out, taking a sip of her wine. helga, how did a dinner celebrating lily's engagement turn into them trying to prove that she was in love with her husband. "i can see it in your eyes."
she sigh, defeated. they weren't going to believe her words so what's the point in trying to deny it any longer. lily, seeing her expression shifted the topic, telling them about how she had already made an appointment for herself to go dress shopping and that all the ladies were invited.
the rest of dinner went on smoothly, all of them catching up with one another. spending the night switching from topics to topics, eric's love life didn't escape their conversation, being the only man in the group and all. the former ravenclaw boy had found someone who was kind to him, and from his description, the complete opposite of him but then again, they do say opposite attracts.
after bidding goodbyes, they went on their separate ways. after walking to an empty alley way with avril, she hugged her goodbye before flicking her wand, apparating herself back into sirius' room.
sirius who heard the unmistakable crack, sat up straight, wiping his eyes with his sleeves just as she noticed him hunched over on their bed. her faced turn to one of concern, standing in front of him, cautiously she asked, "what's wrong?"
"nothing," sirius answered, smiling up at her.
she frowned, taking a seat besides him. "not to be a dick but you're a terrible liar."
sirius laughed watery, wiping his nose with his sleeve. "it's just walburga, you know?"
"she did something again?" she asked, clearly not surprised by the news.
at his nod she carefully wrapped her sirius in her embrace. it was weird, hugging him, the most they've ever done was kissed and that was under the pretense of marriage. she's seen him angry, sad, frustrated, and disappointed over walburga but had never once seen him crying. she did not know how to comfort him but she sure as hell will try.
"do you want to talk about it?" she felt his head shook, feeling his tears dampening up her shirt. instinctively, she leaned down, pressing a kiss on the crown of his head. her voice was soft, whispering reassuring words in an attempt to calm him down.
his breathe steadied enough for him to speak, sirius lifted his head from her shoulder and looked at her with embarrassment. "i'm sorry."
"it's okay," she said lightly, "it's what having a wife is for right?"
there was a small smile on his lips, feeling relieved to have her presence besides him. with a small laughed, he repeated, "i'm sorry you had to see that."
giggling slightly, feeling better about how the mood having been slightly lifted, she quipped, "i don't mind it, seeing a handsome guy cry had always been in my bucket list."
sirius paused, eyes bloodshot red, "you think i'm handsome?"
"are you still sad?" she asked slowly.
"yes?"
"i always thought you were," she answered, watching him lower his eyes awkwardly, a small smile finding its way to his lips.
"what if i said no?" he questioned timidly, his voice coarse.
"the i would've lied and said you're the most mediocre looking man i've ever seen."
•••
"you and sirius looks like a couple," regulus mumbled, pushing his brother's leg over to make room on the couch.
she turned to him, the heat of sirius' hand around her waist getting warmer and warmer as she thought about her brother's in law comment. "what kind of couple?"
sirius kept quiet for a moment, gazing at her seductively.
"why are you looking at me like that?"
"like what?" he said innocently, giving her his best doe eyes.
"like you're flirting with me."
"i'm flirting?" he muttered as if it was new information to him, "flirting with you?" he added, squeezing her waist, his thumb sneaking beneath her sweatshirt, pressing onto her skin. "please don't get me wrong."
"so you're not flirting with [name] right now?" lily asked from her spot on the arm chair, green eyes watching his hands placements.
"maybe i am, maybe i'm not. we're married after all, i need to keep sweeping my darling off of her feet or else she'll fall for someone else," he said smoothly, smirking at lily who then rolled her eyes at him.
over the course of the first month of their marriage, sirius had managed to open his own vault, transfer all his parents trust fund money, found a flat that deemed fit for him and his brother and found a lawyer to begin their divorce's process.
maybe it was all moving too fast but the whole situation had never been taken slowly in the first place. he had asked for her to move in with him and regulus, an offer that she didn't clearly thought through and had accepted. with the help of magic, moving was done within two days which james ended up calling for a celebration. a house party where everyone within their circle was to be invited.
"you shouldn't flirt with people that easily," she commented, stealing his attention back to her.
"and you shouldn't fall for people who flirts with you," he countered, keeping his eyes on her.
"well i didn't! i don't fall for people easily."
"you were just telling me not to flirt with you because you fell head over heels by my beauty when you saw me," he said smiling accusingly, his thumb drawing circles on her skin.
"i didn't tell you not to flirt with me."
"then what did you say?"
"don't flirt with people so easily."
sirius hummed in thoughts, his hand not once stopping it's movement. "so i can flirt with you but not other people. sounds pretty controlling." she looked at him warily, awaiting his next comments. "good thing i like a woman in charge."
"you're ridiculous," she scoffed. eric, who was sat on the floor opposing her, smirked, giving a look that she knew all too well. i was right. pushing herself up and off the couch, she gave him sirius one last look. "i'm filing for a divorce."
•••
the months went by fast, before they even knew it they were halfway through their divorce trial. sirius had filed a no-fault divorce, giving them both equal amounts of legal property. he had served her, and initiated the negotiation process. it seemed as if he was rushing to get rid of her and it would be a plain out lie if she said it didn't hurt her feelings.
"hey," sirius greeted, spotting her read on the couch the moment he entered their flat. "i got you something."
she lifted her head from her book, giving him a questioning look. an expression that sirius took as cue for him to continue.
he shrugged his jacket off, hanging it by the coat stand and dropping his keys in its pocket. he lifted the item in his hand, and made his way to sit besides her. she bookmarked her page, shutting it and giving him her full attention. "what is it?"
sirius only kept quiet, handing it to her, "open it."
she did as she was told, slowly unwrapping the package to reveal a small cake with the words happy anniversary written on it. she looked up him with surprise, smiling. "what is it for?"
"for our anniversary!" he exclaimed, pointing out the obvious.
"sirius our wedding anniversary isn't for another ten months."
"not that anniversary." he shook his head. "it's the anniversary of me sitting besides you despite you saying no."
"you remember that?" she asked with a small laugh.
"of course i remember!" he exclaimed, running a hand through his overgrown hair, "i was so nervous to talk to you."
"you were nervous to talk to me?" she followed up, settling the cake on their coffee table. "why?"
"because i thought you were cool, and i didn't know what to do since i had already asked evans for her help with the whole plan thing and i still hadn't talked to you nor was i certain you'd agree."
"you thought i was cool? and here i thought i was the only girl you were willing to invest in," she teased earning a pout from sirius. "fine fine i won't hurt your feelings today, thank you for this, sirius. i will definitely owl regulus and make fun of you about it later."
sirius lips jutted out even more, giving her his best doe eyes. "i feel like you love regulus more than you love me."
"how could i ever love regulus more than i love you," she said sarcastically. sirius faced turned to one that she could not read. curiously she asked, "what? is there something on my face?"
"no, nothing," he dismissed, still gazing at her.
"than what is it?"
"you said you can never love regulus more than you love me," he said slowly, his own grey eyes drifting between her lips and her eyes. she nodded cautiously, not wanting to overstep him. "prove it then."
"p-prove it?"
"prove it."
"prove what exactly," she said with a short lasting laugh, trying to take some of the tension off of herself.
"prove that you love me more than regulus."
she laughed, thinking that it was another one of his joke that she never fully understood but sirius remained —well, serious, keeping his eyes on her.
sirius was slow with his next action, giving her an out if she wanted it. he made sure to watch for her most minuscule movements, the last thing he wanted to do was mess this up and make her uncomfortable. sirius very casually —even though he felt as though his heart was to explode any second, leaned his head down, capturing her lips with his own.
why did he spent so long denying it when it felt so good to have her by his side he would never know. what he knew was that he liked the feel of her, liked that she was kissing him back, liked that she had seen the worst of him (and his sick family) and chose to stay, like that she was —in the most dysfunctional way possible— his.
when sirius pulled away, the first thing he noticed was how her eyes widened with fascination, which only made him fall deeper into the hole he dug for himself. "was that weird?"
she laughed, snapping out of her trance and shook her head. her hands moving on its own accord when the found its way to his cheeks, feeling weak after the chaste kiss. "no, no, it was fine. amazing even."
sirius smiled in return, feeling relieved that she seemed nowhere near mad at him. "it was okay then?"
"it was more than okay sirius," she reassured him, bringing his face forwards and pressing a kiss to his forehead before she even registered her gesture. sirius turned to the side, hiding his blushing face in her palm but his red ears was no help to his case.
sirius own hand reached up, covering her hand with his and pulled it away from his face. "we should call our lawyers."
"we should. they're not going to like this."

TLDR - Rhea gets jealous over your friendship with Dom, little does she know that you've got a massive crush on her instead. A forced confession leads to some....if you know what I'm saying.. LMFAO ok enjoy I'm going to scream into my pillow now for writing this! <3 (I'M SORRY IF IT'S REALLY LONG?? LOL)
Tumblr media
You've been working alongside Rhea's team for several months now but she was still the one you were most distant with. You were a designer and made custom stage outfits and what not for some of the wrestlers. Though you felt welcomed by everyone, there was always a shift in the air when you and Rhea would be in the same room.
You knew she didn't like you, but you couldn't recall anything wrong that you'd done to her so you spoke to her as a friend nonetheless. You'd grown closer with Dom as the past weeks have gone by, in a way it made you feel close to Rhea since she made it clear she didn't want you around.. Even before joining the team she was always the woman that stole your attention away from everyone else. She was amazing, she was everything you were looking for, and you hated yourself for the fact that she would never see you as anymore than an annoyance.
You came down late one morning, grabbing some breakfast while the others were in the basement watching sports and being rowdy as ever. Thinking you were alone, you hear the shuffle of clothing slowly coming down the stairs, it was Rhea, and she did not look happy.
"I know what you're doing,"
"I'm sorry? Did something happen or..?"
Rhea walked towards you, stopping just inches away from your face and looked down at you,
"Stay away from Dom, he's mine."
You stepped back, letting out a small laugh,
"Rhea it's not like that I think you're mistak-"
"I said stay away from him." Rhea dragged out the words in a low tone, she then left, walking past you and roughly shoving you out of her way. At a loss for words, you grabbed the remains of your breakfast and left to finish up your work.
The following night, there was a celebration party going on, not of your particular interest but you attended out of courtesy. The team was currently travelling so you were all staying in a beach house together for the time being. You weren't complaining though, it was practically a mansion and there was a great view. The party was coming to an end, while you and Dom were sharing laughs over a drink, you missed Rhea coming in and you froze inside when you locked eyes with her.
"Hey everything okay?" Dom asked, seeing the sudden change in your demeanor,
"Yeah I'm fine, I just.. uh, it's getting late and I have a ton of work for tomorrow, you guys enjoy the rest of the night though." you said, getting up with a smile and putting your glass away.
Your room for the time being was on the top floor, grabbing some undergarments and a silk robe you headed to take a shower before being interrupted by Rhea standing at your door frame.
"I thought I told you," Rhea slowly walked toward you, glaring you down.
"And I told you, it's not like that, now if you'll excuse me I'm going to shower, or would you like to stalk me there too?"
"You can stall all you want, this conversation isn't done, I've got a lot of time." Rhea said, giving you a sarcastic smile.
You ignored her, continuing on with your nightly routine, at least now you could relax a bit. Indulging in the hot water and heavenly scents, it'd be a lie if you said the way Rhea spoke and acted towards you didn't hurt. But she only seemed to care about Dom, they were bestfriends after all, a relationship you wouldn't ever think to get in between.
Heading back to your room, your hair was still slightly damp, and sleeping attire was usually just undergarments since you liked the feeling of the fuzzy blankets against your skin. Closing the door and slipping your robe off, you were left in a simple lace thong and bralette set. You turned around to see Rhea sitting on your bed giving you a sinister wave,
"Why are you still here?!"
"Didn't I say I had a lot of time?" she responded maliciously. Letting out a sigh and rolling your eyes at her, "You're impossible," you muttered.
"I mean I had a pretty simple ask of you girl, but it seems you'd prefer to disobey me."
Now, you were angry, climbing onto the bed and getting all up in Rhea's face as she had done with you yesterday morning when you were eating,
"Okay fine, you win, you want to know the truth Rhea? If you wanna know soooo bad I'll tell you okay?" always having a calm and collected aura, Rhea was taken aback by your sudden outburst towards her, but she was impressed either way. Propped up on your side now, almost touching her, it was time to come clean.
"You know at first.. I thought maybe you saw through me, maybe you knew already. I always assumed you were just teasing me about the stuff with Dom. Because.. you don't even know, the amount of dreams I've had where I'm laying next to you just like this," moving her arm so it was around you now, you laid your head on Rhea's shoulder. "But you never look my way, and yeah Dom is great of course, talking to him makes me feel closer to you, since, well.. it's no secret I'm not your favorite person here. I'm sorry, it was never my intention to steal him away from you or whatever, I just can't look you in the eyes or hold a conversation with you since I get so nervous and you don't help the fact either.."
Rhea was silent the whole time, had she really missed your feelings this entire time? She started to feel a bit guilty in the way she treated you now.
"Anyways, it's just a dream, then I wake up and remember you hate me.." trailing off with yours words, you moved to the edge of the bed, your legs dangling off the mattress.
"Is that so?" Rhea questioned, you could hear her moving towards you now, happy to get your feelings out of the way, though your heart was practically beating out of your chest. You felt warm hands on your shoulders, slowly sliding the straps of your bralette off,
"What are you doing?!" you asked in a sharp tone, eyes wide open,
"What? Shouldn't this be something you want?"
"It's.. it is but it's wrong,"
"What part of it? You're single, I'm single," she whispered in your ear while reaching down to your clit, rubbing it ever so gently over the lace fabric. You couldn't help yourself and had let a few moans escape your lips. Rhea smirked knowing she was in control now.
Helping you slide off your thong, Rhea moved you and herself to a better position. Teasing your clit with her tongue she finally gave in and was eating you out better than you'd ever had. You wanted her to stop but something about it felt so right at the same time, how did she go from hating you one minute to wanting to fuck you the next.
"That's all it really takes for you to be dripping wet for me huh," you felt her fingers teasing you once more before she inserted two of them inside you, quickly pumping in and out while you struggled to catch your breath and not get too loud for the others to hear.
Too embarrassed to look down at Rhea while she pleasured you, you knew she was enjoying every minute of it making you squirm like this. Her tongue felt magical, she was rough but loving at the same time. Rhea quickened her pace, now fingering you with 3 fingers while still eating you out, her free hand roamed and grabbed at your body while you lay in bliss, taking in every moment of this.
"Rhea please... I'm gonna cum," you said in between moans, a few short moments after, you finished. You felt as if you were floating, Rhea got up, patting you on the head before leaving your room, disappointed to say the least, your heart sunk that she just left. But Rhea returned with a warm wet cloth to clean you up instead, only for her to then say goodnight to you while getting up to actually leave this time.
"Rhea.." you called out by instinct, following after her quickly before she could open the door, "won't you stay tonight?"
"Hm.. well, I suppose I could since you were so good for me," she said with a laugh. It was the first time she had actually smiled at you, and was kind to you. She would deal with the questions about her whereabouts from the others in the morning, but for now it wasn't a dream. You were so comfortable and could fall asleep any second with Rhea holding you, softly brushing a hand through your hair.
"You better be here when I wake up,"
"I will be, don't worry." Rhea said, tenderly kissing you before the two of you fell asleep.

Real or Not (Pt 5/5)

Dean Winchester x Reader
Dean makes it to Donna's
Always a pleasure "working" with @lacilou
Donna had met you at the door, waving at Claire as she backed out of the driveway. You half expected her to ask but instead she smiled "Ya know where the guestroom is and guest bathroom. Why don't ya go get a shower and change into more comfy clothes then we can talk or not whichever" you instantly pulled her into a hug trying very hard not to cry. She held you for a few moments, rubbing your back soothingly then leaned back to smile at you again "Want tea or coffee waiting?" "Tea please"
You, the boys and Jody's girl all kept extra clothes at Donna's. She was a safe place to crash. Once you were out of the shower and dressed you stared at yourself in the mirror, immediately regretting not paying better attention when you grabbed clothes. You'd gotten a pair of your sleep shorts out but the shirt you'd grabbed was an old henley of Dean's.
-----------------
You ignored the ache in your chest as you brushed your hair out then headed out the bathroom. You padded softly down the hall enjoying the feeling of the cool hardwood floor under your feet.
When you made it to the kitchen Donna was standing with her back to you, you saw she had her phone to her ear and started to step out to give her more privacy until you heard your name. The bits you caught were "Jody's gonna flip" "You shouldn't have went back Claire" "Yeah I know" "I know how two faced Camila is" "I don't think Y/N is gonna believe me though. I could strangle Dean"
You cleared your throat and had to stifle the urge to laugh when she spun around wide eyed looking very much like a kid with their hand caught in the cookie jar "Claire sweetie I gotta go. Give Jods my love and call me when ya get home"
You raised an eyebrow at her phone as she sat it down "What was that about?" She shrugged but when you crossed your arms she let out a sigh "Claire had a talk with Camila" "A talk?" You asked skeptically and she flinched "She might have gave her a black eye, broke her phone and told her if she came within fifty feet of you she'd get worse that than"
You felt your heart warm at Claire's protectiveness but felt the need to say "While I appreciate Claire wanting to defend me she doesn't need to risk getting in trouble. That bitch isn't worth it" Donna nodded slowly and held out a steaming mug. When you took it you realized she was still staring at you "What else Donna?"
She shrugged "Camila told Claire she lied about a lot, like the ring thing" you shook your head "Even if Dean wasn't looking at rings, he was willing to quit hunting.... Donna he still hadn't even told me he loves me. How many signs do I have to let slap me in the face before I accept I'm not the one for him no matter how much it rips my heart out or how much I love him"
She opened her mouth as if to say something but you quickly forced a yawn "I'm gonna take my tea to the guestroom so I can lie down if that's ok" she nodded "Of course. Holler if ya need anything" you gave her a small smile before nearly running to the guestroom, shutting the door behind yourself.
------------
You sat the tea on the dresser before sitting on the bed. What were you supposed to do now? The bunker had been your home for quite some time before you and Dean ever shared a bed. Maybe the twins wanted a third for hunting? Or you could go with Claire some?
You eventually laid across the bed, hoping sleep would pull you under.
Tumblr media
Dean parked next to Donna's truck feeling his heart skip around in his chest. He cut his eyes at Sam as he killed the engine "What do I say to get her to listen to me?" Sam shrugged one shoulder "Honestly?"
Dean felt his jaw clench as he said "Yeah honestly. I'm trying to fight for the woman I love her and this is new territory to me Sammy" a small smile slipped onto Sam's face "Don't gameplan man. Just talk to her, stutter and stammer if you have to. Just try to tell her how you feel and make her see you mean it"
He nodded slowly before climbing out of the impala, hearing Sam get out behind him. Before they made it all the way onto the porch the front door swung open and there stood Donna looking very pissed. "DEAN WINCHESTER! WHAT DID YOU DO?"
He flinched at her tone and held his hands in front of him defensively "I promise you my own crime is being stupid enough to think Camila had changed any. Anything she told Y/N was a lie. Please let me talk to her Donna" she looked from him to Sam before nodding "Ok, Sam ya wanna ride into town we me? The dinner has decent enough food"
Sam nodded "Sure" Donna leaned in to grab her coat before looking back at Dean "She's in the guestroom. Don't make me regret this Dean" Sam patted Dean's shoulder reassuringly before following Donna off the porch.
------------
Dean stepped inside and stopped. What if you didn't want to see him? What if you didn't believe him? What if you really were through?
He wanted to give into those self depreciating thoughts he had his entire life but your face popped into his mind. The smile you'd have when you would wake up next to him, how you'd wrap your arms around him and kiss between his shoulders while he cooked. The way you'd patch him up after a hunt or sit watching his every movement with tired eyes as he patched you up.
Every moment of your relationship and even before flashed through his mind. It was worth the risk. He knew for him that you were it, he just hoped you felt the same.
-----------
He walked to the guestroom and knocked twice. After a moment he heard your sleep ridden voice "Come in Donna" he hesitated, should he tell you it was him? After a moment he pushed the door open "Hey sweetheart"
Tumblr media
You shot up in bed and stared at Dean for a long moment. Your first urge was to run to him or even cry but you bit both those down to let venom slip into your tone as best as you could "Where's Camila?"
He shrugged "Don't know. I came here to talk to you" you stood off the bed smoothing a hand over your hair as you did so. You refused to be sitting while he stood. You needed halfway equal footing.
"Why? To tell me yourself I never measured up to her? To tell me you would've quit hunting for her? Or or or did ya come to tell me stories about her like I heard you and Sam reminiscing about WEEKS AGO!" You hadn't realized the anger that was simmering under your pain but once you started talking it refused to not be fed.
You tool a step towards him "When would I have been enough Dean? I was friends with you and Sam for so long before we ever started getting closer. You had every chance to not yet you took me into your bed. You touched me, you kissed me, you made me feel wanted like you actually cared but all the while I was falling in love with you were you still hung up on her?"
"No" he answered it so matter of factly it pissed you off further. Your teeth clenched hard as you said "Then why don't you love me? Why don't you feel about me how I feel about? WHAT DOES SHE HAVE THAT I DON'T?"
------------
You felt angry tears slip down your face half a second before Dean was pulling you into his arms. You struggled, trying to break out of his embrace but knew he was stronger than you and your traitorous heart and body wanted nothing more than to melt into him. "Why don't you love me?" You half whispered half sobbed into his chest.
"I do love you" he spoke quietly. You pulled back from him to look up into his eyes "Don't say it to save my feelings" he gave you a smile that wasn't his usual flirtatious one but was genuine nonetheless "I'm not baby please can I talk now?" You nodded so walked the two of you over to the bed and sat down scooting back against the headboard pulling you onto his lap as he went and you let him.
------------
Once you were straddling him with your head resting in the bend of his neck he started to rub circles onto your back as he spoke "She lied about me wanting to quit hunting. She lied about a lot, that's all she ever did. When me and Sam were talking about her it was because he was giving me hell for not trying to get you sooner because he was comparing how much better of a hunter, cook and woman you are and I was agreeing. I have loved you for a while now but sweetheart this is new to me, I've ran from any feelings my entire life. I've ran from the possibility of opening myself up to being hurt but you? You could rip my heart out right now and I'll use my last breath to tell you I love you"
You leaned up to look into his eyes "I've felt so out of place since I heard you two talking about her. I wanted to trust in us, not just a lovers but as friends. Dean I've never dreamt of feeling how I feel about you. I love you" you pressed a gentle kiss to his lips and he sighed lightly into your mouth, a sound of contentment. When you pulled away he smiled again "I love you Y/N. A future for me? It's you. No matter what else may come my future is you"
You smiled again, feeling tears brimming in your eyes "Shut up and kiss me like you love me Winchester" He grinned at your words "Oh I definitely can do that"

SPEAK NOW - Foolish One
Rafe Cameron x Reader Taylor Swift AU
Tumblr media
My cards are on the table, yours are in your hand. Chances are, tonight, you've already got plans. And chances are, I will talk myself to sleep again.
Sofia's text kept you up all night. You had sent Rafe a text this morning and were still awaiting his reply.
Hi! What are you doing today? I need to talk to you.
You give me just enough attention to keep my hopes too high. Wishful thoughts forget to mention when something's really not right.
He had read the message 23 minutes ago and the waiting was making you sick. Did he know what Sofia has said to you? Had she told him not to talk to you? You had typed out several follow-ups but hadn't sent any of them, too afraid of overstepping.
And I will block out these voices of reason in my head. And the voices say, "You are not the exception. You will never learn your lesson."
Your nerves were getting the best of you, the thoughts in your head growing increasingly meaner.
Why in the world would he choose you over her? She's literally his girlfriend.
What if he knows you like him and doesn't want to speak to you anymore?
Do you really think he would leave her for you?
Foolish one. Stop checking your mailbox for confessions of love that ain't never gonna come. You will take the long way, you will take the long way down.
Deep down, you knew you would never be with Rafe. You just always were a hopeless romantic. You knew it was stupid to think he'd love you back but it was nice to dream, even if you broke your own heart along the way.
You know how to keep me waiting, I know how to act like I'm fine. Don't know what to call this situation, but I know I can't call you mine. And it's delicate, but I will do my best to seem bulletproof.
Rafe still hadn't replied the next day. You had a feeling he wasn't going to pick you up like usual so you asked your mom to take you.
"Why isn't Rafe getting you?"
Your acting skills pulled through the lie.
"He had to be early this week for football stuff."
When you got to school, you did your best to seem like everything was ok to your other friends. They thought it was weird you weren't walking in with Rafe but didn't say anything. Your only class with Rafe was your 5th period but it was after lunch. You took a deep breath before walking into the cafeteria, holding your lunch to your chest.
Rafe's eyes were on you the second you walked into the cafeteria. But you didn't glance at him once. He knew he was being a jerk.
'Cause when my head is on your shoulder, it starts thinking you'll come around, and maybe someday when we're older, this is something we'll laugh about over coffee every morning while you're watching the news.
As you sat with your friends, you thought about the weeks before Rafe had started talking to Sofia. There seemed to be some sort of more-than-friends vibe you were getting but you had been wrong in the end. You'd go get some drive-through junk food and eat it in the bed of his truck, the night ending with you falling asleep with your head in his lap. On other nights you'd watch a movie at Tannyhill or Rafe would come to eat dinner with your family. It felt so right, so domesticated.
But then the voices say, "You are not the exception. You will never learn your lesson."
Your eyes traveled to the table Rafe was at. He wasn't watching you anymore, eyes on Sofia, who was obviously flirting with Kelce. You rolled your eyes and shifted your eyes back to your friends.
Foolish one. Stop checking your mailbox for confessions of love that ain't never gonna come. You will take the long way, you will take the long way down. Foolish one. Stop checking your mailbox for confessions of love that ain't never gonna come. You will learn the hard way, instead of just walkin' out.
"Is everything ok with you and Rafe? I saw your mom drop you off today." Your best friend keeps her voice quiet.
"Yeah." You lie through your teeth. "I think Sofia was getting a little uncomfortable with us hanging out so much so I'm just giving them some space."
Now I'm slidin' down the wall with my head in my hands sayin', "How could I not see the signs?" Oh, you haven't written me or called, but goodbye screamin' in the silence and the voices in my head are tellin' me why.
You had been checking your phone non-stop throughout the day, just waiting to see if Rafe had texted you. But nothing. You knew you were just hurting yourself but you just couldn't stop yourself with Rafe.
"Cause you got her on your arm, and me in the wings. I'll get your longing glances, but she'll get your ring, and you will say you had the best of intentions. And maybe I will finally learn my lesson.
You look back at Rafe's table again, letting your gaze linger for a moment longer. Your breath catches in your throat as Rafe's eyes lock on yours. His smile falters. You surprise yourself by holding your ground, not blinking. Topper hits Rafe's arm to get his attention and he looks away.
Foolish one. The day is gonna come for your confessions of love. When all is said and done, he just wasn't the one.
You could laugh. Years of friendship down the drain for what? For a stereotypical high school mean girl who could care less about her? You rolled your eyes.
If Rafe was willing to move on from your thirteen years of friendship, so could you.
No, he just wasn't the one.
"Did you hear about the party this weekend?"
"Yes! I'm so excited, I've been needing a break."
"Y/N, are you gonna go?"
You knew the party was at Tannyhill, Rafe had told you about it weeks ago. Sarah was hosting it and Rafe was bound to be there.
"Sure. Why not?"
As lunch ended, you got a text.
Can I drive you home today?
You look back to Rafe's table, his eyes already on yours.

"Fuck You, Dinozzo."
Tumblr media
Tony Dinozzo x Fem reader
Requested by: none
Warnings: Swearing, fluff, Tony being Tony, enemies to lovers dynamic.
A/n: This story is based off of NCIS S. 2 ep. 22 SWAK
___
"Fuck you, Dinozzo." Was always her reply to his bullshit comments and smug remarks. She always tried to hate him, always trying to push him away. Now here she was standing next to Tony's bed surrounded by glass. He had gotten a letter from an unknown woman, he opened it and now he's got the fuckin plague. His condition is getting worse instead of better and the feeling of worry and regret are clawing at Y/n like lions.
"You've got it too?" He asked.
Y/n didn't answer, she stood there looking at him. She didn't want to lie by saying yes, and she didn't want to say no either.
"Im- I'm so sorry." Tony said, he sounded genuine. It made Y/n feel awful, she wanted to help him, to hold Tony and tell everything will be okay.
"Really, Y/n. I'm so sorry."
"Just...." She whispered.
He grazed his fingertips over the side of her hand, he was trying to take it but he was in pain.
"Tony, please. Tony please don't."
"You said it." He whispered.
"Said what?"
"You said Tony." A smile spread over his face. "No fuck you. No dinozzo. Just Tony."
The look on his face made her heart throb, the way she felt for this man made her wanna cry. She'll never be able to tell him, and even if she did, he's dieing anyway so what would be the point.
"Get some rest, Dinozzo." She turned to walk back to her bed but he snaked his hand around her wrist, holding it tight.
"Say it again."
She was still turned away from him, Y/n felt his thumb caress her wrist.
"Tony, please get some sleep."
With that he let go of her and she was able to walk back to her side of the room, he laid there smiling up at the ceiling. Tony always had a feeling that she cared for him, more than she let on. Everytime she insulted him she got this glimmer in her eye, and she looked so jealous when he flirted with other girls that came into the office. And now that she called him by his first name and not his last, that told him he had a shot.
A few hours passed and the doctors came in, they checked Y/n for any signs of the plague and she was clean, they had over heard the conversation between her and Tony and decided to keep it from him that she wasn't infected.
"Is she gonna be alright?" He asked.
They looked at each other, Tony's gaze fell on Y/n sleeping four beds down. He'd never forgive himself if she died, this was his mess, it was because of him she was infected. And there was nothing he could do.
___
"Do you hate me?" He asked.
"Why do you ask?"
Tony looked over at her. "Well because you're always saying "Fuck you Dinozzo" and shooting me with insults."
"No, I don't hate you. You can be insufferable at times but, then there's the times where you're a fuckin sweetheart, especially to other girls. And I-"
Dinozzo rolled on to his side and rested his head on his knuckles. "And you....what?"
"I may get a little jealous."
"Jealous?"
"I said it, now we can drop it."
Tony chuckled and rolled over onto his back again, there was silence for a minute then he decided to speak.
"They don't work with me."
"Huh?" She asked.
"They don't work with me. Much less across from me, those girls aren't constantly in my line of sight every time I come to work."
She lowered her brows and shifted in her bed.
"Meaning?"
"Meaning, if I see your beautiful face everyday for hours on end, I'm gonna fall for you. Even if you don't smile at me like you do at Gibbs, or crack jokes like you do with McGee. If your the grand standing mural of the work place, I'm gonna want you. Those girls come and go. Don't be jealous."
___
Y/n woke up to the sound of coughing, she shot out of bed and nearly threw herself over the other four beds to get to Tony. He was struggling to breath, his nose was turning blue as was his fingernails. Around his eyes were getting a shade of blue as well, this man was dieing.
"I'm gonna need you to take a deep breath and hold." The doc said.
"I don't think I can, maybe Shelly can do it for me. Shes got a nice set of lungs."
Y/n looked over at the doctor's assistant, then to the floor. Tony noticed and gently took her hand.
"Why aren't you sick?" He asked.
"Because I'm stronger than you."
"As if."
Y/n gently ran her hand through his hair and rested her arm on his pillow.
"I probably look like shit." He said.
"You do."
"You look great, you'd look even better if you took this off." Tony smirked and gently pulled at her shirt.
Y/n chuckled and turned her head away, and began coughing.
Tony reached out and slowly rubbed her back.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm just allergic to your bullshit."
"You're not infected are you?" He asked.
"No. I never said I was, you just made that up in your head."
Tony smiled but that quickly turned into him hacking. The color drained from Y/n's face when realization hit her, that this could be it.
"You need to go." The doctor ushered her out of the room.
Y/n walked out of the glass enclosure they had them sealed in and went to the showers. She sat on the cold tiles, the warm water running down her body.
"I love you, Dinozzo." She whispered.
"It's about time you realized that." Gibbs' voice came from the bench outside the shower. Y/n turned the water off and a towel was literal wheeled through the shower curtain at her.
Y/n wrapped it around herself and stepped out, she eyed Gibbs and walked over to her clothes.
"You aren't gonna say anything."
Leroy stood and crossed his arms over his chest.
"The pestilence that was killing him is dead. It dies after 32 hours."
"Is he gonna live?"
He looked at the floor then back at her.
"There's a 15% chance that he's gonna live."
"Are you fuckin me!? 15!? That's like saying, Y/n he's doin fine! But he's gonna die!"
Y/n threw her clothes on and stormed out of the washroom, she headed back to where Tony was being contained. She went to the doctor and wadded up the paper the man was holding.
"How is he doing?"
Tony smiled at the sound of her voice, she sounded aggressive.
"Y/n...I-"
"I nothing! Is Tony gonna be okay!?"
"He's expected to make a full recovery."
"May I sleep here?"
"I don't see why not."
She went into the glass room, Y/n stopped at Tony's bedside, he looked to be asleep. She brushed his hair back and kissed his forehead. Y/n laid in the bed next to him and stared at the ceiling.
"Goodnight to you too."
"Fuck you, Dinozzo."
___
A week later
Y/n sat at her desk, Tony had been on sick leave trying to recover from his plague. They hadn't talked much and it made Y/n miss him.
"You miss him?" McGee asked.
Y/n looked up at him. "Meh, did you know that he told all the girls on the bottom floor that you were gay? It gives him an advantage."
Tim's face contorted into a face that could only be described as What the fuck!?
"What the fuck!?" He said. "Well did you know that he told me, you tried to sleep with him that time you two went to Ibiza?"
"Did he now?" She asked.
Y/n grabbed up her ringing telephone as Tony and Gibbs stepped out of the elevator. He walked up next to her and waited for her to set it down.
"Alright, bye." She finally said, Y/n put it down and attempted to ignore him but he leaned down and planted a kiss on her cheek.
Gibbs looked over at her and saw the red tint that spread over her face. McGee was so shocked at her reaction that he nearly dropped his coffee.
"I've missed you, Y/L/N." Tony said.
Y/n turned in her chair and stood, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss.
"Fuck you, Dinozzo."
THE END ❤️
I hope you enjoyed

Just a little idea that popped into my head while I was trying to sleep. And while I love reading reader x single dad! fics as someone who doesn't want kids I just feel it's not something I've come across in fics yet (it probably has been done and if you have any recs please send them my way)
Also this drifted away from my original idea and I'm too lazy to correct it so please enjoy whatever this has turned into.
Tumblr media
"And then Ella" Steve was replaying the story animatedly across the table from her. They were on a first date, after having bumped into him at the grocery store last week where he had surprised her by asking her out.
"Sorry you've lost me, who's Ella" she asks, interrupting him but it was hard to follow the story when she had no idea who she was. She had figured she was another friend or something as it was the first time her name had been mentioned all night where as she'd heard all about the kids he used to babysit, his best friend Robin and the metalhead who had been adopted into the group but Ella was new.
Steve's face fell and she worried her question had upset him, had he already talked about her tonight and she'd missed it so now it had come across as she hadn't been listening. Oh god, it had been going so well and now she'd messed it up with one simple question.
"Have I not told you? I could've sworn I told you?" He asked, there was no accusations in his tone. Instead, he sounded more confused. She shook her head in answer to his questions and he sighed, "I could've, it's the first thing I tell people, how could I have not mentioned her" he was muttering more to himself than her.
She offered him what she hoped was a reassuring smile as she reached across the table to rest her hand over the top of his where at some point he'd clenched his napkin in his fist. He looked up at her touch, "it's okay you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" she reassured him. It may have been a first date but he didn't have to tell her his whole life story in one go, she hoped there'd be a few more where they could learn more about each other.
"No, she's someone I like to be up front about, I need to know before I get involved with anyone so they don't freak out and leave when they do eventually find out and then I'm left picking up the pieces" he explains and her heart bleeds for him, thinking about Steve thinking everything is going well only to be left picking the pieces of his heart up after they leave but she also can't help the anxious feeling building inside of her.
"Ella's my daughter"
Her face falls as soon as the words slip past his lips, a reaction she's quick to cover but not quick enough as Steve sees.
"I know it's a lot to take in especially when we're just getting to know each other that's why I like to make it known straight off the bat but tonight, I don't know I guess I just got so caught up in the excitement of being here with you that I forgot and that sounds terrible that I'm admitting to forgetting my own daughter but it's been a while since I've actually been excited for a date and well you've made me feel like a teenager again which I guess is why" he rambles, his eyes closing as he rubs his fingers against his temples before he looks back at her. "Please say something, even if it's just to tell me I'm an idiot" he all but pleads.
"Steve" she whispers. Her mind is going at a million miles a minute as she processes his confession and her own feelings. "I don't know, I really wasn't expecting to be discussing kids on a first date" she admits, "but since we're being up front then I can't lie but kids have never really been in my plans for the future and I know your not asking anything from me right now but I've enjoyed myself tonight and I really want to see where this goes but," she pauses glancing at Steve and she can tell that he's expecting her to tell him that she doesn't want to be with someone who already has a kid and the acceptance of it is written all over his face which is heartbreaking because he deserves love she's just not sure if she's the one.
"If this did progress, if we did get together I just don't know if I'd fit your expectations or even hers" she admits, already feeling like she'd be a disappointment to the both of them when she couldn’t fill the mother roll that she thought he was expected her to fill. "I just don't want it to get to the point where we realise that maybe it won't work and then we're left as you say picking up the pieces" she finishes with a sniffle, god please don't let her cry.
And Steve, wonderful Steve, leans even further across the table, his large palm cupping her cheek as a small smile graces his lips. "I have no expectations, this would be new for both of us as its only ever been me and her for the longest time, all I need to know is if you'd be willing to try, take things slow until we figure out us and then when you're ready then we introduce Ella, we could just even say your a friend if that makes you more comfortable" he tries and she melts under his touch, his gaze.
"I'm terrible with kids" she adds, giving him one last out to change his mind but he just chuckles.
"They're a learning curve, trust me but she's a good kid" he promises with a nod that somehow has her feeling at ease. Kids may have not been in her plan for the future but maybe one wouldn't be so bad.

LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH STRANGER THINGS RN THIS IS A CALLING anyways y’all ever think of an exes-to-lovers with Steve…
You're It For Me
Word count: 1.6k
a/n: I do think about exes-to-lovers with Steve ;) So here it is because I'm also obsessed with stranger things and needed a little writing warm-up <3
Tumblr media
You dug your heels into the carpet, leaning back into the couch cushions as time ticked on and Max continued to sleep peacefully beside you. To say you were overwhelmed was an understatement, but there was little you could do to calm your nerves with so many variables at play. Max, Vecna, some haunting curse that no one knew anything about; too many moving parts, not enough answers.
“Hey,” Steve called, slowly making his way down the basement steps. Because that was another variable: your ex-boyfriend, constantly at your side these past few days. “You okay?”
You let out a long breath, keeping your voice low as you replied, “I’m fine.”
“Really? No crazy clocks or anything? Any painkillers stashed in your back pocket?” he posed, his brow raised as he scanned your face for any hint of a lie.
“No clocks. No painkillers.”
“You sure? ‘Cause if you even feel a gust of wind in the wrong direction—”
“Just drop it, Steve,” you interrupted, your tone laying a blanket of defeat over the room. “I know you don’t really care. Let’s just take care of this and then we can be done, alright?”
“Be done with what?”
You bit into your bottom lip, hard, and tried to pretend you didn’t catch the hurt that washed over his face. Breaking up with Steve Harrington had been ridiculously taxing, and the aftermath was almost worse; you hadn’t realized how hard you had fallen for him until you told him it was over. But you knew it had to be done.
There was a part of you—a large part—that was convinced he wasn’t over Nancy. That the sidelong glances and bittersweet smiles he sent her way were proof that he had never stopped loving her. And you couldn’t fault the way his feelings worked, but you weren’t going to be a second choice. You weren’t going to be a rebound.
Granted, Steve never treated you like a rebound. For the months you had been dating he had been perfectly attentive and sweet and all of the things you had expected. It had been like an extension of your lifelong friendship, just with more touching and adoring looks, as if he was realizing you had been in front of him all along and he wanted to make up for lost time.
But then Nancy would say something and all the things that made sense to you stopped making sense. Because Steve used to love Nancy, and you weren’t actually sure if that was in the past tense.
You bit the inside of your cheek. “You know, with being around me. Hanging out with your ex-girlfriend probably isn’t your idea of a good time.”
Steve narrowed his eyes, taking a quick glance around the room before zeroing back in on you. “Hang on, you broke up with me. You forget that part?”
“No,” you drawled, leaning away from Max so as to not wake her. “I didn’t forget. But that probably just makes you want to see me less, right?”
Steve threw you an incredulous look, swiping his hand down his face as he shifted his weight between his feet. On the ground, Dustin rolled over in his sleeping bag, giving you a small distraction from this uncomfortable conversation.
But Steve dragged you back in right when your eyes darted down.
“No, you—why would you think that? You think I’ve been calling you every day just for the fun of it?
You almost forgot about that part. Two weeks since you drove to his house and ended things and he called your home phone just about every night. You figured he would have stopped after the first week. He hadn’t.
“Steve…” you whispered, eyes boring into his own, trying to get him to come to terms with the situation. “Come on. You don’t have to keep doing this.”
He threw his hands up instead. “You aren’t making any sense! I feel like I’m going crazy here.”
“Oh, you’re going crazy?” you accused.
“Yes!”
Max stirred, a small disturbance that made Lucas furrow his brow in his sleep as well. You held out your hands as if that would help, only rising from the couch once they had both settled back against the arm. Steve still stood with a disgruntled expression on his face, hands on his hips, and you grabbed him, tugging him up the stairs.
It wasn’t until the basement door clicked shut that you whipped back around, finding yourself closer to Steve than you had been in days. You didn’t miss the way he shuffled his feet forward, his gaze flitting the surface of your face.
With your back against the door, you spoke into the space between you—just inches. “I know it’s still her.”
Steve shook his head. “Who?”
“Nancy. I know you still love Nancy.”
Steve’s mouth parted in surprise, an unreadable expression briefly crossing his features. Your chest felt tight; there was a reason you hadn’t given him an explanation when you broke up with him, and it was to avoid this very conversation. Because you didn’t need confirmation you were right and you didn’t need to be reminded that this boy you had fallen in love was probably thinking about someone else.
Damn the upside down for forcing you into the same room.
When no words left his mouth, you let a breath go. “I get it, Steve, alright? You don’t have to feel bad. I’m not going to pretend like this didn’t mean anything to me—that you weren’t anything to me—but I’m not… I’m not mad at you.”
It was impossible to drop the eye contact, an invisible force keeping you tethered together as he took a step forward. And then another. And then the toes of his shoes met your own. Something lurched in your gut, making you take a deep, rattling breath in, before he moved his hand up.
His touch was cold on the side of your face.
“You’re such an idiot,” is how he broke the silence, his eyes racing between yours. “If you woulda just talked to me…” He cuts off, his other hand coming up to fully encase your face. “Sweetheart, I don’t know what’s been going on in that head of yours, but there’s a few things we should get straight.”
“Steve—”
“No, hey.” He rattles your head, brows jumping up to catch your attention. “I’m doing the talking, alright? You did enough of that after you came barreling down my driveway like Cyndi Lauper.”
“That’s not even a good song,” you mumbled, allowing Steve to guide your face up with his palms. The small smile he offered you was enough to cut most of the tension between you—and to send your heart into a flurry.
“Listen to me,” Steve started, settling into seriousness. “I did love Nancy. I did. It was different with her and I learned a lot about myself and what I want. But, y/n, you gotta understand, I loved her, but you’re it for me.”
Steve brought a hand down from your face, pressing it to the small of your back.
“When I think about whatever the hell we’re supposed to do after this whole interdimensional clusterfuck ends, I think about you. You’re the only person that’s ever got me, you know? And I’m not just talking about my crappy parents and my part-time jobs. I’m talking about all of it.”
Your chest met his. Your skin felt like it was on fire.
“But the way you look at her…” you trailed off, needing answers, needing something.
Steve clicked his tongue. “You think if I was still into Nancy Wheeler I would’ve asked her about you? ‘Cause I did. Went straight up to her and Jonathan when you wouldn’t answer my calls or the door.”
Something clicked in your mind—a call from Nancy a few days ago that was short and awkward and you were sure there were voices in the background.
“You made her call me.”
Steve looked up at the ceiling for a moment, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. “Yeah, and it was real embarrassing when you picked up on the first ring after I had just explained how you weren’t taking any of my calls.”
“I knew you were supposed to be at work,” you admitted lowly, the sadness resting on your chest dissipating with each one of Steve’s smiles.
He scoffed. “I gathered that, thanks.” He tilted his head to the side to fully capture your attention. “You believe me now?” He pressed you closer. “You gonna take me back? Or do I need to keep following you around like a kicked puppy.”
You fought back a smile, placing your hands flat on his chest and watching the way it made his eyes flutter. He instantly wrapped his hands around your wrists, testing your touch, assuring it was there. Just like that, he was yours again, but you weren’t exactly sure if he had ever stopped being yours.
Steve brought his forehead to your own, closing his eyes as if to commit the feeling to memory. You had been such a fool to let this go—or an idiot, to use Steve’s words.
Your fingers tightened around the shirt he was wearing, twisting the material between trembling touches. You didn’t need to answer him; you kissed him instead. Pressed up against the basement door with an interdimensional clusterfuck on the horizon, you kissed him. Because he was yours, and you were it for him.

Tumblr media
Lately, finnick is never home. that’s a lie, he comes home to sleep. finnick is never home at any time when he could actually see you. he goes out to the shoot, hangs out with his friends, and comes home whenever he likes. whenever you try to sit him down for a meal, his agent calls, or his manager, or the producer of the project, or the director, or the costume designer, or his friends.
you can’t say the love is gone, you still have little moments of affection. him kissing your temple as he slips into bed, him kissing your hand before he walks out the door, making breakfast together on the few days he doesn’t have to go in too early.
you know he loves you, and that once filming comes to a wrap, romance will resume to normal. But you feel so lonely.
“want to go to a dinner party?” you roll your eyes at him, continuing to polish your toes, perched on the tub ledge.
“no way in hell would katniss willingly throw a dinner party. And peeta would never make her.”
“it’s a haymitch and effie soiree.”
“oh, so it’s a soiree now?”
finnick lathers shaving cream with the kabuki brush & bowl set you got him for christmas last year. “you know effie,”
“i'm surprised you’re inviting me,” you say with a bittersweet honestly. he sets the brush back into the bowl, turning to you.
“sweetheart,”
You sigh, “you’re just so busy lately, finn. It’s like strictly work and friends for the past couple of months.”
he kneels on the bathroom tiles, you internally shiver because he’s getting his robe dirty.
you arch your brow at him.
“we need this, right?”
“you don’t. you don’t need me. you don’t need anyone... i need you, though.” your eyes start to sting and your throat closes up a bit.
finnick springs into action, gently grabbing your hand that’s paused on the nail polish cap “baby, baby, you don’t need to worry. it’s you and me.” he kisses the knuckles, transferring shaving cream onto your hand. he looks up at you with those sea-green, puppy-dog eyes. "be my date tomorrow night?"
he ate you out that night. down right making out with your pussy. every swipe of his tongue felt like an apology. so sweet, sugar-coated, he was making up for lost time. it was like he was telling you he loves you through your cunt. which felt so absurd a thought when you had it, you laughed out loud. that was the only time finn came up for air, “what? has it been that long? have i lost my touch?” he mocked worry. you told him you got distracted, and to up his game; which he did. you lost count of how many times he made you cum.
you roll over, wanting to bump into finnick, feel his warmth. you landed on cold sheets instead of your warm boyfriend. so you got up, put on the robe finnick left on the floor and made yourself some tea.
you’re starting to hate weekends. finnick’s job makes him work around the clock, and this place was finn’s place before it was your together place. you wish he moved into your place, that way you could look around and see memories that didn’t just involve him.
you put on this green maxi slip dress tha finnick loves on you and a white fur you found at a boutique a few days ago, some big hoop earrings and a green onyx ring. the door opens. finnick. you two are going to be so late for dinner, he still has to get dressed. He pops his head into the bedroom. he’s already dressed.
his jaw drops into that cheeky face he makes. “babe, you got all dolled up for me? you’re so lovely.”
“can you for once say something that isn’t at all smug?”
“something,” he flourishes his arms.
“very funny, finn. and this isn’t for you, it’s for me. I haven’t seen out friends in a while and i want to look nice.” that's mostly true, although you did actively decide to wear his favorite color.
“ah, yes, of course.” he slides up next to you in front of the vanity.
“how are you ready?” he grabs one of his cologne bottles.
“you know i have a change of clothes for every occasion in my trunk. and i'm not ready just yet,” he shakes the bottle slightly.
“ah, yes the travel closet. how very crazy rich asians of you.”
“i'm the real-life peik lin.”
being at effie and haymitch’s was like fresh air after holding your breath. typically, you didn’t need anyone else to feel alive. but, you don’t know anyone at your new job, and you feel kind of aimless. you’re not sure if you’re going in the right direction anymore
peeta nudges you, “how’s work?”
you fidget with your ring. “new things are always an adjustment.”
a warm hand lands on your thigh. you look at finnick, he smiles, squeezing your thigh.
“you’ll be fine, once you’re all settled, you’ll knock their socks off.” katniss smiles at you.
“effie, did you hire a new chef?”
“why, yes i did, dear! of course you are the one who noticed, you always have had the best test!” she giggles, “aside from me, of course!” you were relieved effie took your bait. You want to focus on something else other than yourself.
“doesn’t my sugar look absolutely divine?” finnick quips as he starts bunching up your skirt. a chorus of agreement comes in response. by the time someone resumes conversation, he has your dress piled at the bend of your hips. his fingers dance his way over to your clothed sex. immediately, he presses a finger right on your clit. it sends a jolt through you at you sit up a little straighter.
peeta gives you a look that says everything alright? And you give him a gentle smile back.
“hey sweetheart,” haymitch asks, looking at you.
“mm, mmm?” finnick’s making circles around your clit making you dizzy.
you try extra hard to listen to what he says, “i know you said you’re doing that day job but how’s your passion treating you?”
“fashion is a tough industry to get into, let alone do right.” hopefully your voice doesn’t betray you.
finnick tucks your panties to one side and slips a finger inside. you yelp, mouth closed.
“you alright, sugar?”
“bit my lip while chewing.”
“aw, baby, you have to be more careful,” patronizing ass.
finnick teases you on an off throughout the night. actively at least, he keeps his finger inside of you for the rest of the meal. Every now and then you’d purposely clench around it, to spur him on. sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t.
on the ride home, you sat scooted as close to the window as possible.
“you are cocky,”
you look at him, he’s smiling, big and proud. “low,”
“and sexy?” you glare at him. what a pompous boyfriend you have.
“...yes.” you roll your eyes.
he holds your hand, “you looked so sexy tonight, baby. i couldn’t resist.”
“that was the first time i’d seen them in months!”
“aw, did you not have fun, sugarcube?”
“i did, but damn you finnick, why does everything have to be a spectacle with you?”
“but you did such a good job of being discreet, babe, there wasn’t any spectacle tonight.”
you let out a small giggle.
“i’m trying to make everything better, baby.” you hold hands the rest of the way
Your boyfriend follows you into the apartment, practically nipping at your heels. He gets his hands on your hips, tugging you back into his chest. He nips and sucks at your neck, hands roaming.
“You’re so impatient,”
“You’re so tempting.” he picks you up fireman style, carrying you over to the bed. He slips the dress off of you.
he’s everywhere. your neck, chest, tummy, thighs, kissing your body up and down. yesterday, sure he had your legs shaking and you forgiving him, but today he’s loving you in the way he used to. In a way that has a piece of your soul click back into place.
you arch your back into him, finnick eventually settles on you chest, kissing, nipping, sucking, squeezing. loving you without words. he takes a quick moment to rid himself of his pants, literally smothering himself in your gorgeous tits.
“finn– finn– what are you doing?” you laugh.
he comes back up. he takes off his suit and rips his shirt. “i’m doing what needs to be done so i can love you and this beautiful fucking pussy, doll.”
You look at him, eyebrow cocked “so my pussy is more beautiful than i am?”
“you are the sum of your parts, baby.” he runs a hand through your hair. “it just so happens that you have the most exquisite pussy.”
“then why aren’t you touching it?” you test him. he slips a couple of fingers into you without missing a beat.
“what were you saying, sugar?” he rubs up against your g-spot. “c’mon you were about to say something.”
“just- just, finn–”
“it’s okay, sugar, I got you baby, I know what you need.” he slips his fingers out, and you whine. but he doesn’t leave you much room to complain, pushing himself into you.
oh. my. god. he hasn’t felt this good in so long. trying to stay in control during this hell of a month is torture. during the time you two have been together, he hasn’t taken on any projects. well, there was that one time he was brought on as a late-stage producer when one dropped out. but that wasn’t nearly as time consuming as acting was. finnick never noticed how isolated he is during a shooting period. other than the occasional fling with a co-star, he really didn’t have any sort of relationships. but know he has you and you are such a delicious little distraction. but honestly, celibacy does not suit him.
initially, he thrusts into you slowly. he wanted to savor this, but you’re just too good. and it’s been too long. and he missed this pussy. last night was just a taste. he’s prepared to keep you here all fucking week if he has to. he lifts your torso up, slipping a pillow under your hips, and as he lays you back down, he kisses you.
“I missed you,” you breath into his lips.
“i’m right here sweetheart. I’m all yours, I’ll be forever yours, my girl.” he kisses your temple, making a trail down to your breasts. “fuuuck,” he says before taking a nipple into his mouth. he has never (and I mean never) loved a pair of breasts more than your tits. they are goddamn perfect. no one could tear him away from you. if you’d let him, he’d spend an entire day under one of you (his) pajama shirts, his face to your chest, it would be the best day of his life. his hands squeeze your hips. the way you pussy-- it’s fucking glorious. he wants to cum, he wants to cum so bad--
“finn,” you feel him twitch,
if you keep saying his name the way you are, he might just explode. “finn-finnick!” he has a thumb on your clit. he needs you to cum first. You always cum first. It’s his rule. you're tugging at his hair. And your gripping him like a vice. “finn, please,”
“there’s my good girl.”
just in time. You two arch into each other an finnick bottoms out in you, losing himself in your warmth. and as he collapses to your side, and you give him your cute little sleepy smile, he thinks one thing.
I'm so serious about keeping you here all week. he decides that he’ll let you nap for half an hour. he collects supplies, food water etc. and emails your work that your amazing boyfriend has set up a surprise vacation and will be gone for a few days.
you wake up to the sound of an alarm and a nip at your thigh.

The Birthday Boy
Jenna Ortega x Autistic!Male!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You finally get to celebrate your birthday for the first time, and with the one you love.
Words: 1552
Y/N POV
Today is my birthday. I've never really celebrated it; family never really bothered. Now that I'm older it just seemed more insignificant. No one to celebrate it with, and let's be honest and no one wants to celebrate it on their own.
Jenna was out working, I never told her when my birthday was because I didn't want to interrupt her filming schedule, she's already got enough on her plate she doesn't need to worry about getting me gifts for my birthday she has a career to grow.
I've turned 20 today; Jenna turning 21soon. 20 years feel a bit surreal not gonna lie, crazy to think it's been that long since I was born. I try not dwell on that to much, it'll just send me spiralling.
I do wish I had a good birthday though, the feeling of being celebrating. I know this may sound narcissistic, but I always wanted to be celebrated, have a day just about me. I wanted to feel like everyone could come together and show support for me even if it was just for one day, I never had that kind of love growing up so I'd like to know what that's like, though I doubt it'll happen.
My father never paid any attention to me growing up, saying I was too much of a hassle to put up with. You know you have a bad parent when they have to "put up" with you  instead of loving you unconditionally, but hey beggars can't be choosers, right?
Me thinking about how life could've been was making me depressed so I decided to go out for breakfast, I got dressed and got the keys to my car and went out get food.
On the way there I get an incoming call from Jenna, thought she would've been busy this morning so this was a pleasant surprise. I answered but kept my eyes on the road.
"Hello darling, how'd you sleep" she asked, she knows I don't sleep well when she's gone.
"Um... I slept okay, probably could've got more sleep though. I'm just going to that Italian place we went to a month ago for some breakfast. How's shooting going" I asked, she's currently filming for her new movie 'death of a unincorn' with Paul Rudd.
"Filming's going great, Paul's really cool and I can't wait for you to meet him, he's knows you're a marvel fan too." She giggles mischievously, that little minx.
"Jenna why'd you say that." I whine feeling embarrassed.
"Aw babe, don't be shy he thinks you're really cool." She says reassuringly.
"Yeah sure he does" I say sarcastically, making her laugh. "Do you know when you'll be home?" I miss her dearly, I need to see her soon.
She let's out a sigh, I brace myself for bad news. "Sorry, sweet boy. I won't be back for another week." I let out sad sigh and a whine, I missed her alot.
"Hey, hey, don't be upset baby boy, I'll be home before you know it and we'll have so much fun together. The week will go by quick I promise." She cooed, she always knew what to say to put me at ease.
"Alright sweetie I have to go, drive safe for me and I'll see you very soon." She blew a kiss through the phone "I love you, sweetheart"
"I love you too, Jenna." We end the call and I continue my journey.
I arrive at the restaurant, this is gonna drain my social battery for today so I hope I don't have to to anyone that much, I just wanna get my food, eat then leave.
I ate my food peacefully, the staff were wonderful, definitely going there again for breakfast. I leave the restaurant and do some birthday shopping for myself, figured I may aswell treat myself to something nice for my "big day"; I sound miserable.
I'm pulled out of my thoughts when I feel my phone vibrate, a few text messages from some of my friends and cast mates from scream 5 and 6. I read them and I was shocked, how did they know...
Jasmin
Hey Y/N/N, hope you're having a lovely birthday. Can't wait you see you soon.

I was shocked; flabbergasted even. How did they know, they couldn't have possibly...unless. I looked the last message, it was from Jenna, the mastermind behind this.
❤️Jenna❤
Hi baby boy, guess who found out when your birthday is! You never told me when it was but I asked around and viola! Happy birthday sweet boy, I promise we'll see each other very very soon. I love you so much, sweetheart.❤
That little minx... this is why I love her so much, I can't begin to express how much I love her and this just solidifies that. I sent her a message back saying I love her and continue to the mall.
But as I walk to the shopping mall I see three woman who look very familiar, they're wearing party hats too. No... no way... it can't be...

Jenna POV
The look on Y/N's face is priceless, he looked shocked, excited, and emotional at the same time. I think me, Jasmin and Devyn did good on surprising him.
"JENNA?!" He says with glassy eyes.
"C'mere sweetheart" I say and open my arms, he runs towards me and I wrap him in a tight hug.
"I missed you so much" he said while crying, he's such a cutie oh my god.
"Aww sweetie, I missed you too, so much honey. I've been tracking you on Life360 and we intercepted you here. Happy birthday my love, I know you don't like big crowds so I brought Devyn and Jasmin with me" they spoke up.
"Happy birthday, Y/N/N. It's so good to see you, I've missed you alot." Devyn says making him smile widely.
"It's been too long since we've seen you Y/N, how have you been?" Jasmin asks. He lifts his head from my neck and speaks.
"Better now that you guys are here, I haven't really been feeling the best since I've been on my own, I'm so glad you're here Jenna." I hold him and rub his back in comfort.
I want him to really enjoy his birthday today, I already have stuff waiting for him at home. I think he's gonna love it. "Let's go do some shopping and then we'll go home, I have a surprise for you." His eyes lit up and I kiss his cheeks.
- 2 hours later
Y/N drove behind me as we made our way back home. Jasmin and Devyn went home soon after we shopping. We park up to the driveway and he joins me at the front door.
"Close your eyes, birthday boy" I ask and he looks at me with caution.
"What are you planning now, Ortega?" He asks me; suspicion in his voice.
"Just close them silly" he obliged and I take his hand to guide him to his surprise. We reach the living room. "Okay, open your eyes sweetheart."
He opened them and is met with countless presents ranging from: action figures and Lego sets from their favourite franchise, new clothes, PC parts and much much more. I wanted to spoil him and make up for the 20 years of birthdays he missed out on. He looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"Jenna... is this all mine?" He asked, still not believing that he finally had a proper birthday.
"All yours, sweetness" I hug him as tight as I can, he cries into my shoulder out of, what I can only assume, happiness. "Don't cry honey, it's okay. That's all for you because I love you so so much, you deserve this my love, you deserve the world." I cooed softly.
"Thank you so much" he said through his cries.
"You're so welcome, my beautiful birthday boy." I say then kiss his forehead, cheeks and lips.
"Wait here, baby boy" I head into the kitchen and grab his cake. I light the candles and head back into the living room.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Y/N, happy birthday to you." I sing and he blows out his candles.
I cheer and set the cake on the table. He smiled so brightly, he finally got to have a real birthday to celebrate.
Happy birthday Y/N.
A/N
Not my birthday, but I thought it'd make a good story. I hope you enjoyed.
