You’re sitting on the couch with him, watching whatever show you feel like today, and it’s so nice. It’s just..comfortable. You glance over at him, smiling fondly to yourself as you see that familiar spiky hair and blank expression. Something about him is so endearing in a way that’s hard to describe. He’s quiet, sure, but he’s real, and truly kind and his personality just works with yours. You can sit in comfortable silence without a care in the world. A bond like this is hard to come by, and you so deeply appreciate him.

You place your hand on his shoulder, catching his attention and he turns to you with a quizzical expression. “C’mon, lay down.” You respond simply before gently pulling him down to lay on your lap. He quietly grumbles something unintelligible and there’s a red tint to his cheeks, but the embarrassment quickly melts away and he relaxes into your touch. You keep one hand on his arm, mindlessly rubbing soft circles with your thumb as your other hand finds its place in his hair. You feel his breathing even out as he relaxes, and in that moment the two of you are exactly where you want to be.

so when the two of you find out that you're into each other, aaron is just like,, fully taken aback. absolutely flabbergasted. he thinks it's a joke tbh because in his mind it's in no way possible for someone like you to love someone like him :(( god if only he knew how incredible and beautiful and perfect he is :(( tbh he'd say the exact same thing about you bc you'd also go insane over HIM ACTUALLY LIKING YOU BACK!!!

it definitely takes a few dates for the fact you like him to fully sink in. he kinda doesn't wanna pursue the relationship at first because he really thinks you deserve better than him. but after a while, he realises he'd be so stupid to pass up going on a date with you, even if it only ends up being a one-time thing. after two or three dates, he's somehow MORE in love with you, something he didn't think was possible, and he's even beginning to think that maybe you really do love him back (which you obviously do)!!

when you do something really thoughtful for him, like getting him something he really likes or giving him flowers on the fourth date or buying something for jack - OR OH MY GOD even telling him that he doesn't have to cancel the third/fourth date when jack gets sick because you can just go over and have a night in with him (instead of going to a fancy restaurant like he wanted) and you even go to check in on jack when you hear him wake up!!! - it hits him that you love him just as much as he loves you and he thinks he might just be the luckiest man ever :')
