so i know its still football szn but im so excited for basketball season because i just know steve harrington would do some dumb shit during timouts just to talk to you (cheerleader!reader) <3 youre just trying to remember the next cheer, or pick one out if youre a captain, and hes whisper yelling at you “y/n. y/n” “what harrington” “uhm. did we have english homework?” and your friends would giggle a little and maybe you get a few death stares because steve fucking harrington was taking time out of the game to talk to you. and it happens every single game. “hey what does y intercept mean again?” you tutored him in algebra three years ago. “you have extra water?” sports med gives them jugs of it. “how do you know what cheer to call?” depends on how they play, and he knows that. he knows the answers to each and every question he asks you, until one of the games he asks something riskier. “hey, y/n.” you sigh. “what steve?” “you want to go out with me this weekend?” the only problem with this was he waits until he finishes making the winning shot and now you have to turn around and sing the fight song.

Stevie with the strap (something about Eddie guiding her is so 🥵 like ik the dirty talk would be INSANE)

Fluffiness!!!! They deserve to have some really cutesy moments before the Chaos, I think it would be interesting to see them as a couple outside of the little bubble (like going on a date in some random town on a stop)

Also I want to talk about something silly - I feel like Steve would have a fake rivalry with your pet (I'm thinking immediately like a cuddly dog but a cat or other pet you cuddle works too). Like, he comes back from the kitchen with your snacks and your dog has jumped in your lap and he's like "???? What if I wanted to do that bud? Huh?"

He gets up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and your dog wiggles up onto his pillow to curl against you. You vaguely hear "tryna steal my girl, huh?" through a sleepy haze, but you ignore it because there's a warm mass next to you and you're so sleeepy.

You get home from work and your dog is bumping you and excitedly whining so you pick them up/bend down to pet them and give them smooches and Steve is like "HELLO? WHAT ABOUT ME?"

Sincerely, Jazz, a girl with the sweetest neediest cuddle bug pup who Steve would have to fight for cuddle time because she loves nothing more than lying on my chest while I pet her (arguably what he would be most 😔 about because he wants boobs and pets).

This is soooo steve coded 😭 he’d pretend to hate your pet and have a stupid rivalry with them and glare at them every time they cuddle with you so he can’t, but one day you leave him alone w them and when you get back, they’re snuggled up on the couch together, asleep with your puppy or kitty curled up on his chest, tucked under his chin and you suddenly understand the jealousy bc you wish it was you so bad 😩😭
