Hi, it's me (i'm the problem, it's me). Here's a prompt for a new au that I think you can do it justice 💃 Thena is the best onmyoji/jujutsu sorceress in the family and Gilgamesh is the giant entity that serves her, between them there's a connection that runs deeper than the contract that binds them together ✨✨💖 pls i wanna see them being badass and then some soft moments 👉👈
"Uh, so..." Kingo started and then stopped again. He had never been paired with this particular sorcerer for a mission before, but he knew who she was.
Thena, eldest daughter of a very renowned jujutsu sorceress clan. They had cursed energy that was so pure and so concentrated it was called Cosmic energy to some--glowed gold and everything. But aside from her weapons expertise, not a lot was known about her.
"Yes?"
Kingo shifted on his feet. "Do you think it's a special grade, like the rumours say? Or just a level 2 causing trouble?"
"Hm," she let out plainly, and it almost sounded like a chuckle. "I believe even a level 2 is enough to spook the people living in this area. If there is, in fact, a special grade apparition in the area, then I'm certain you and I can handle it."
Kingo nodded; it was a very concise way to wrap things up. So, not the chatty type. He pulled his hands out of his pockets, pulling his own cursed energy into his fingertips.
Thena pulled out the hilt of a sword from the sleeve of her dress. But it took no effort at all for her to create a blade of pure golden light. "Ready."
Kingo raised his hand, pointing his 'finger guns' into the air where he expected the cursed spirit to appear. He just wanted to get this mission done so he could go home.
They waited.
"Where is it?" he voiced aloud, mostly to fill the tense silence.
"Indeed," she agreed, her sword shifting shape from a long blade to a knife she could hold closer to her body. "I believed a level 2 would be eager for a kill."
"Maybe it is a special grade," he murmured as they started backing up. Ajak's deep blue veil was still cast over the area to keep anyone from poking around. "Let's regroup."
"What is it?"
Kingo looked over at his temporary partner. She was whispering over her shoulder--talking to herself? "Uh, T?"
"Something isn't right," she looked back at Kingo, as if she hadn't been talking to some imaginary devil on her shoulder. "I can't sense anything at all."
Now that she said it, she had a point. There was no cursed energy lingering in the air. Even the most basic curses would leave some impression on the area. But this was suspiciously quiet.
"I don't like it either."
Kingo frowned; she was whispering to herself again. He thought her and her whole family were supposed to be super cool jujutsu sorcerers, not nut jobs!
"Kingo!"
He had quick reflexes--he prided himself on them. But he wasn't even fully turned around when the blade of a spear extended past him. He fell forward, cursed energy spilling out from behind him. Oh yeah, this was totally a special grade apparition.
Thena pulled the spear back to herself and changed the shape of it again, her fingers running along the blade of her sword. "It's eaten a lot of people."
"Yuck," Kingo muttered, regarded the writhing mass of cursed energy, a swirling ball of curses with evidence of their once physical bodies still in it. It moved fast though.
Kingo took shots at it as it moved, but it was like a rat king, scurrying around quickly in a completely disgusting way. It scuttle around, avoiding his shots of cursed energy expertly. Even those that hit, only shot off small sections of the main body. He aimed at the small little 'rats' scurrying off the main body as they split off. "Ew, ew, ew!--this is by far the grossest spirit I've ever fought."
"I am inclined to agree." She was a woman of few words, huh?
Kingo ducked and rolled as the ratking spirit shot a few more extremities at them. He took a few more shots in return, but this was getting nowhere fast. He looked at his partner, who was more close range combat than he was. "Thena!"
She turned, barely catching the wave of rats behind her. It loomed over her, but the shadow cast over her wasn't from that.
Kingo skittered back as a massive shadow rose from within Thena's. A cursed apparition like he had never seen before appeared, looming over her and using a single hand to keep the enemy curse at bay. "What the-"
"Gilgamesh!"
The massive spirit materialised more, becoming that of a man, with dark eyes. He had regular hands, but in the same golden glow of Thena's energy, a massive bear paw appeared around his hand. And that was what held the curse at bay.
The curse could use cursed energy? Kingo ran closer, "what the hell is that?!"
"How dare..." the monstrous spirit growled as he held the curses around them at bay. He threw them back, still glowing with cursed energy within his control. "How dare you hurt Thena!"
Kingo ducked as the spirit threw the limb of the cursed spirit and by extension the main body. He looked at Thena, "uh, you brought backup, I see."
She looked at him briefly. "This is Gilgamesh."
That was not the explanation Kingo would have expected to get. But he nodded at the apparition towering over Thena's shoulder, who nodded at him in return. "Uh, hey."
The spirit looked at Thena, bending closer to her. Her hand came up to his cheek, her mouth hovering close to his as she whispered, "friend."
The one word was enough for her guardian spirit, who looked at Kingo again before redirecting his attention to the curse at hand. Kingo also turned back to their current problem. "I guess we'll have to do introductions later."
"Gil!" Thena barked, and the spirit over her shoulder grasped her by the waist before throwing her up in the air. Kingo didn't have time to be stunned before she was on top of the ratking spirit and had both her blades driven into it.
"Holy shit!"
Gilgamesh stormed over, still in the shape of a man but with golden glowing lines like elephant feet around his own. He impacted the ground as he ran at the monster, fists swinging. "Thena!"
What was this thing? Kingo took up the job of shooting at the extremities before they could scurry off and reform into another cursed spirit. "Keep it up you two!"
"Crush it!" Thena ordered from above, hacking and sawing with her blades of cursed energy.
Kingo wouldn't believe it was possible, but he watched as her guardian did just that, bringing his arms around the other being of cursed energy until it was no more. Kingo held up both his hands, shooting at anything that so much as moved. "There are too many!"
"Gil!"
He caught her first, because of course he would. Then he put a hand on her shoulder. He had his own supply of cursed energy, of course. Thena held out her palms, golden needles emerging from them. They all shot out at once, with no end in sight. However much cursed energy she had on her own, Gilgamesh obviously added to it exponentially.
Kingo ended up shielding his eyes by the time the massacre was over. He could understand why they called her the weapons expert; it was hard to create objects out of pure cursed energy. He walked over cautiously, "uh, good work...team?"
Gilgamesh leaned over Thena, pushing some hair away from her face and asking if she was okay even quieter than a whisper.
She smiled and nodded, leaning into his touch. He drifted even closer and she lifted onto her toes to tilt her head up and touch her lips to his cheek.
Kingo averted his eyes. He wasn't embarrassed per se, but he didn't think it was something he was supposed to witness.
"He was my guard."
He looked over, undeniably curious. "Wassat?"
Thena smiled at him, more relaxed now that the imminent danger was out of the way. Her hand remained cradled in the massive palm of her guardian. "He was my guard, once upon a time. When he died protecting me, I...I bound his spirit to mine."
Ohhhhh, he was a cursed apparition in the way a shrine guardian was bound to a temple. She had tied his soul to hers, tethered by their shared cursed energy to keep him with her. It was romantic, in a way (tragic, in another).
"Thena," the spirit rumbled, leaning over shoulder again and pressing his cheek to hers.
She smiled, nuzzling against him just as lovingly. "Gil."
She had a nickname for it?--him. Kingo put his hands back in his pockets as she gave her guardian angel another kiss before beginning the walk back to the edge of the veil. "Were you two...?"
Her smile turned a little sad as the veil began to fall away, revealing the rising sun. "Not in life, no."
But now, in death, it seemed their love was more unbound. There was something beautiful about that, even Kingo could see. He looked over at her massive shadow, where Gilgamesh was happy to float along behind her. Despite literally living in her shadow, they were holding hands.
Kingo chuckled, squinting as dawn reached them. He waved to Ajak, waiting for them. "Well, if I ever ask for a boost like you did today, I think I should get at least one per fight."
Thena just stared at him like he'd spit up a cursed spirit orb. But she laughed, even throwing her head back a little. Her hair caught the sun, practically glowing in its own way.
Gilgamesh smiled down at her, although he held up a hand to keep the sun from getting directly in her eyes. "Love your laugh."
"You're free to ask him," she even swiped a tear of laughter from her eye, "but it's not up to me if he agrees."

“Fuck…FUCK Druig!”
“That’s the idea, darlin’.”
You opened your eyes seeing the lights shining down above you as hands were griping your hips so deliciously and possessively, your mind was in a pleasurable fog while your back was rubbing against the material below you.  Your thighs, though spread with no abandon, were starting to burn while you were covered from head to toe with sweat.  All you were feeling and sensing was red-hot heat, insane pleasure from the top of your head to your toes, and an insane high from Druig making love to you.
No, he wasn’t making love to you.  He was downright devouring you.
This was his idea, you had no idea you would end up literally on your back on top of a pool table with Druig drilling his cock into you at a steady rhythm.  He wanted you to come out to his pub and poll hall that night, you two haven’t been able to spend some time together as a couple since you both were busy.  Your workload and a full-time job were making you mostly unavailable for a date night or a late-night hang out with Druig, just as Druig running his pub kept him away for several hours on end.
But finally, you had time to hang out with Druig after closing time, you were able to catch up with your mutual friends Makkari and Kingo.  The pub was pretty busy, Druig being a hands-on owner, and was all over the place.  You loved watching him at work, seeing him reload new kegs when they were out, checking in on his wait staff when they looked swamped, and even waiting on dirty tables You knew he was a devoted owner of the pub ever since he inherited it from his old boss and mother figure Ajak, doubling the profits and popularity in no time.  He moved into the apartment that was on the second floor, right on top of the pub with a massive view of the city below.  It was the best setup for him, and for you when he asked you to stay over for the night or for the weekend.
He asked you to stay after hours when he locked the doors and lowered the blinds, and before you knew it, with a few glasses of wine and using some of his weed, the night led you two to this predicament.
“Jesus, you look amazin’, sprawled on his table for me,” Druig growled as he thrust hard, you moaning loudly and reached for his spare hand for him to lace together near your head.  His other hand was cradling your neck, his body hunched over yours as he had you along the edge of the pool table.  It started with making out, Druig perching you on top of the Pool Table with ease as his kisses along your lips were making you dizzy.
Something about Druig and his way to draw you in, to make you feel so loved and safe, you would fall under his spell every time.  He loved you and cared for you, showed you respect to the tenth degree, setting the bar far too high for any other guy to come around.
After shotgunning the smoke from his parted lips and feeling his tongue dance against yours, you were falling for him all over again.  His hands were all over your body, pushing up the summer dress you were wearing to be bunched around your hips, and his thumbs then hooking along your panties to let them drop to the floor.  Before you knew what was happening, he was kneeling between your legs and making you shake in pleasure with both his lips and fingers inside your aching pussy.
It was almost like liquid fire along your skin, your fingers digging in his brown hair as your other hand was holding hard to the wood of the pool table.  It was almost like an erotic scene to be certain, to hear and feel Druig moan against your cunt as he was picking along your folds before flicking his tongue right up against your clit to make you scream. You were feeling the adrenaline from both the wine and the weed, but both were nothing compared to the pure lust that was in your veins as you were trying to stifle your moans by biting your lower lip.
Druig must have heard it, pausing his movement and looking up at you as you were shaking from the insane pleasure.  You watched with glossed-over eyes, Druig on his knees with his eyes on yours whilst his head was still perched between your quivering thighs.  You saw the moisture painted on his lips and chin, you mewling from the sight as Druig sunk two fingers into your pussy as he smiled wide.
“Don’t be quiet on me darlin’.  I want ya nice and loud for me,” He commanded, his fingers curling as you fell back in a heap.
After cumming from his tongue and fingers, Druig then had you bent over the side of the pool table, chest against the green material as he sunk his cock in from behind and took you then and there.  It would have sounded almost guttural from anyone else passing by, even that late in the night since the only sounds that were heard were the balls rolling around on top of the table and the slapping of skin.  Druig kept his hands everywhere on your skin, your sundress still on but barely as he was kneeling your breasts under the dress and sinking his fingers into your hair while his hips were constantly rolling over and over.
You felt that tightness all over again, from this new angle and how his cock was so snug within your inner walls and hitting that sweet spot deep inside of you.  Druig always knew the best way to make you feel all the pleasure in the world when you two were in bed together, especially the first time he sunk into you.  Something in the way he fucked you, both in intensity and yet with gentleness as he watched you come undone under him.  He was entranced by the sight of you orgasming on his cock, calling out his name in such a way it was almost like a religious experience.
This night was no different as he reached around to flick his finger against your clit, rotating it twice before you came so hard you were dragging your nails along the green cloth.  He hunched over you, holding you close while you experienced the aftershocks from your climax before he gave you a filthy kiss along your neck.
“How close are ya?  Tell me, sweetheart,” Druig commanded with a grunt as he was fucking you a bit faster now, seeing you shaking and biting your lip as sure signs of you about to reach the peak.  You look up at him, smiling in lust and bliss at the sight of Druig above you.  His eyes drilling into yours as his brown hair was plastered to his face, the open blue shirt he wore that night for work still on but now stuck against his chest and back from the sweat, he looked gorgeous to you.  With his muscles along his arm and chest and the distinct v-line from his hips, you were under his spell with no sign of snapping out of it as he was staring at you like you were prey that he wanted to devour.
You must have looked like a mess, your summer dress now on the floor and being bare naked on top of one of his pool tables.  He loved seeing this side of you, not wound up tight like you usually were because of your job.  Druig always made it his mission to make your walls come down when he was with you, whether it was with back massages or sending you to the spa that his friend Sersi ran, seeing you relaxed and at ease made his heart happy.
But his favorite way of releasing your tension was fucking your brains out.
“F-Fuck, I…I’m so c-close!” You moaned as Druig kept thrusting, going a bit harder now while he watched your eyes roll back in ecstasy while the tip of his cock hit your sweet spot deep inside of you.  He leaned down, the new angle made you both moan sinfully as he wrapped his hand behind your neck to have you sit up.  You were so close to falling over in a blissful orgasm that you knew would shake up your world, you just needed a bit more of a push as Druig pulled you to be chest to chest with him.  You clung to his back, pressing your head into his as he bottomed out completely into yours.  At this point he was now grinding into you, the sheer force of his strength behind every push into you almost made the pool table shift and squeak, yet neither of you cared.
“Cum on baby…cum on my cock.  I wanna feel it, every single ounce of it as you cum and drench my cock,” He growled against your neck as he was grinding over and over.  You tried to speak, but all you could do was moan as the peak was so close, literally on the tip top of your spine and about to crash over your head.  Druig felt it too, how your pussy fluttered around his cock that was throbbing and aching to unload deep inside of you.  He just needed to tip you over the edge and knew precisely how to do it.  Your neck was so sensitive and so responsive, that he placed his lips over your neck right where your pulse point was.
He bit down very lightly, you screaming as you finally orgasmed and clung onto him.
It triggered his own orgasm too, emptying himself inside of you like a heartbeat and not slowing down or stopping.  You both were plastered to one another, coming down from your highs as the loud moaning was turning into whimpers and hums.  Druig kissed your skin wherever he could, still holding you tight as his hips were slightly moving again and again and still emptying himself inside of you until he felt himself spent.  Even Druig was shaking while his heart was beating rapidly against his chest, pulled away slightly to stare at you, and smiled in bliss.
There you were, coming down from your orgasm and yet still looking beautiful and almost heavenly in his arms as you were open and bare to him.  He loved the way you looked and felt beautiful in your own skin, for as long as he knew and loved you Druig loved the confidence you had and he wished he had it himself.  And you were sagged against him, Druig was rubbing his hands along your skin and kissing your cheeks as you lazily smiled, both in satisfaction and in exhaustion.
“Jesus Druig, I can’t even…I can’t walk,” You hummed, out of breath as Druig duly chuckled.  You looked over your shoulder at the scratch marks you made on the green cloth, grimacing a bit, “I’m sorry about your table.”
“You kiddin’ me?  It’s sexy as hell!” Druig reassured you, making you laugh as he kissed you sweetly and pulled out of your carefully.  You shook from the feeling of being empty, though Druig never released you from his arms as he spoke again against your jaw, “I’ve hated this pool table anyways.  I can call to get a new one tomorrow.  Come on, I wanna take care of ya in the shower,”
You squealed and laughed as he lifted you in his arms bridal style, both of you still naked with no shame as he strolled over to the backdoor that led to a pair of stairs that then led to his small and cramped apartment.
The End.

When we say goodbye Pt 1
Tumblr media
Pairings:  Druig X LightBender!Eternal!Reader (Fem)
Summary: Druig and readers time together before he leaves the group. The beginning of her descent into darkness.
Warnings: MCU Violence, Blood, Fighting, I used Fem pronouns, some fluff and angst. Time Jumps
Author's note: I watched Saltburn and then Eternals, got an Idea so here we are my first ever thingy thing. This is part one. I got carried away…. I hope you all enjoy it!
Part Two Part Three
Intricate gold patterns trailed up Y/Ns arms as she used the sunlight around her to create a massive hawk. It took off, sinking its glowing talons into the deviant’s eyes. The creature let out a strangled shriek before biting the bird. The golden creature dissolved in its jaws. Y/N pulled more light together, throwing it at the ugly monster. The ground rumbled under her feet as it fell over.  It held the force of a mini earthquake. She used all the strength in her legs to keep from toppling over. Usually, Y/N had to have help from Thena or one of the other Eternals help her take the deviants down. She could wound them but hardly ever executed.
A deviant that was hidden in the tree line focused on the Y/H/C-haired girl. She stood over its friend, a  wide victorious smile on her face. And did a small dance, proud of herself. It huffed out before taking off toward her. The creature now behind Y/N raised a clawed hand, slashing it through the air with the force of hurricane winds. An ear-splitting scream passed her lips while the deviant’s razor-sharp nails ripped through her flesh. Cutting right through her like a perfectly done steak. A searing heat of pain ran through her body.
"Y/N!" Druig cried out. Within a heartbeat, he took off running to her. Leaving Kingo and Thena to fend for themselves. He knew they were more than capable of handling their situation.  After all, Thena could take three deviants down in the blink of an eye.
Gilgamesh neutralized the deviant attacking the girl, effectively preventing it from killing Y/N. More deviants came out of the trees to defend their fallen, pulling him back to Thenas side. There were more of the creatures in this area than anywhere the group had been before. They were multiplying like bunnies in the spring.
Druig knelt in Y/N's blood as it soaked in to the forest's floor and carefully pulled her head to his lap. His eyes flitted over the crimson wounds, muttering a sorry when a whimper escaped her. Through the blurry haze of pain, she could make out a deviant coming toward the two of them. No one besides Y/N seemed to notice the thing. Without another thought, she used the small patch of sunlight by her fingers directing the stream of light to blind the monster. Cerci took care of the rest.
"Saved my ass again, my sunshine." He smiled that breathtaking smile, pushing her hair out of her face. Druig took a deep breath wiping any emotions he showed off his face. He didn't want to worry his friend.
"I think we are even now," she spoke, inhaling sharp breaths with each word.
Ajak got down by the two, placing her hands on Y/N. A numb, tingling feeling ran through her. It felt like her limbs were waking up after sleeping on them wrong. Even with how many times Ajak has used her abilities on her, it was a sensation she would never get used to. Once Ajak was finished,  Y/N thanked her.  Honestly, the group would have been dead if Arishem hadn't given them Ajak.
Y/N got up to her knees and faced the black-haired menace she called her best friend. She bit her lip, not finding the words she wanted to say. ‘Thank you…I love you.’ Instead, she hugged him.  Druig buried his face in her neck, inhaling in her smell overwhelmed his senses.  A reminder she was still there.
“You’re still here,” he murmured against her neck, causing chills to run down her spine.
“You would miss me if I was gone. Who would accidentally hurt Ikaris for you." Y/N joked, pulling away to look into his beautiful blue eyes.
"You don't even know." He responded. Ruffling her hair before helping her up.
---------
Thena dodged at Y/N. They were training in a secluded  area of a beach. The girl side stepped out of the way effectively blocking the blonde warrior. Thena tried a right hook and Y/N used her arm to block the hit. That was the fourth time in a row. Which was a major improvement.
“See I can fight” Y/N giggled as Thena threw another punch at her.
“You have some things to work on, for your safety.”  Thena responded. She was doing this for Y/N, but Druig had begged her to help. He never asked for anything so she gladly complied.
Y/N managed to hook her leg over Thena’s. Effectively pulling  her down on the sand. She straddled the warrior with a victory smile. Sounds of claps met her ears from a distance. Looking up it was Makkari cheering her on. Thena used the distraction to flip over and pin Y/N down. She wore the victory smirk now.
“You cheated”
“You lost focus.” Thena pulled her up.
“Did you want me to kill you?” Y/N asked exasperated.
“No, but let's go again. This time I won't go easy”
“Easy?” That was outrageous.
Y/N made the first move this round of sparing. Thena effortlessly dodged the attack knocking Y/N down. She glared up at the women, more determined to win. She got up and tried again only to be knocked on her ass once again. Grains of sand fell into her clothes, and stuck  to her sweat. Her hair was all over the place too she knew she had to have looked crazy. Her chest heaved as she began to catch her breath.
Thena put an arm out to help her up but dropped her halfway up. The blonde woman smiled down at her. Y/N  heard a laugh this time. She knew that laugh like it was the air she needed to breathe. He must have made his way over with Makkari. Those two were attached at the hip lately.
“Shut up Dru.”  she called out to her dark haired friend, and bit down on her lip.
Thena helped Y/N back up and got her to her feet this time. Nodding at the girl to go again. There was a moment of hesitation before she lunged back at her screaming. This time she grazed Thena with her fingers, and escaped the movement the warrior made to grab her. There was at least 7 feet between them now. They both waited for the other to make a move. Thena started to go for Y/N’s right but swerved for the left taking the girl for surprise and once again putting her on the sandy floor.
Y/N huffed out, defeated and done for the day. She covered her face with her aching arms. This hit was going to bruise. Druig laughed again.
“Once again, shut up Dru.” He apologized but his tone was joking. She knew he was too amused to mean it.
“You are doing well. In another week you will be able to defend yourself flawlessly.” She pulled Y/N back up to her feet. Signing to Makkari to join her in the city.
Druig was distracted by the sweat glinting off Y/N’s body as she made her way to sit next to him. She dug her bare feet into the warm sand resting her head on her knees. He rubbed her back watching the ocean's waves roll on to the shore.
“You are improving sunshine.” She grunted at his words.
‘Lies’ she thought leaning in to him. Her body hurt all over.
---------
Y/N ran through the crowded town square knocking into some people. She ignored the glares thrown her way, too focussed on finding her friend. She wanted to show him something exciting. He was going to love it. It thrilled her to know she was going to see that soft smile of his.
“Druig!” Y/N yelled when his head of hair came into view.  As soon as he heard her voice, he dropped what was in his hands, looking for her.  A small smile fought its way onto his face as she ran towards him. She quickly closed the remaining distance between them before he could even step forward.
"Yes, my sunshine?" His smile widened as he watched her bounce on the balls of her feet. Obviously excited about something.
"Come with me. I want to show you something." Y/N grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together. She whisked him off toward the forest. He didn't have the opportunity to say no. Not that he would have denied her anything. He would have walked across hot coals if she so much as asked.
They came to a halt in the middle of a clearing of varying purple colored flowers. Y/N stood, so she was right in front of him, stealing his attention. He used their joined hands to pull her closer. A sparkle crossed his eyes as he rested his forehead against hers. He glanced down at her soft lips. Their lips were a breath away from what they both wanted, but they were too stubborn to do anything.
"Ok, close your eyes, no peeking." she bit down on the inside of her cheek, untangled their fingers, and took a step back. Druig frowned. And reached out to her. She shook her head.
"I swear, Y/N,  if this is a trick. I will not talk to you ever again." That was a lie. Even if it wasn't, she would wear him down. She knew all the right buttons to push to get his attention. A soft musical laugh escaped her before she responded. He yearned to bottle that sound up for a cloudy day.
"Dru, it's not. Now place your hands over your eyes, and no using your powers." He poked her in the side, straightening up before complying with her demands. It earned him another laugh.
Druig could sense her tongue sticking out. Y/N had always done that when she was concentrating. He knew her better than he knew himself. He paid attention to every detail for centuries and stored them in his memory. Druig could read her like an open book. Sometimes he wondered if she knew all her little quirks. How she tousled her hair when she was stressed or when her nose twitched when she wanted to yell.
After a couple minutes, Druig's hands were tugged away from his face. He kept his eyes closed, waiting for her to be truly ready. Afraid to ruin her surprise. Y/N once again laced their fingers together. Druig squeezed her palms, rubbing his thumb across her soft skin.  He could stay like this forever, just the two of them. Although, he would prefer to actually see her.
"Open." It felt like an eternity before he did as she asked.
The scene in front of him was ethereal. Thousands of gold butterflies fluttered around them. Y/N watched as Druigs sapphire blue eyes followed the movements of her creations. There was a lone black one that flew past his face. It looked more like a moth than a butterfly. It landed on a rock before vanishing.
Druig’s whole body was relaxed for the first time in a while. He stared at the spectacle in front of him in utter disbelief. With an extended finger, he coaxed a butterfly to land on it. It spread its wings out as he pulled it up closer to examine. There were delicate patterns on the wings. They looked like any regular butterfly, just dipped in liquid gold.
Druig set the thing on Y/Ns nose and dragged the finger past her lips pulling at her bottom lip and rested on her chin. Her nose scrunched up as the insect walked across her cheek. An affectionate smile took over his face, and his eyes dilated. His finger lingered on her chin a second longer, watching as the butterfly disappeared.
She had butterflies; anytime he touched her or simply looked her way. With that look, he reserved for her alone. It was softer than he ever looked at Makkari. Butterflies were there at the thought of him.
"How is this possible? You can usually only create one thing at a time."  Druig pulled them both down. He sat on the cold ground and her on his lap. He snaked an arm around her waist, holding her close. He rested his chin on her soft hair, keeping his gaze on the moment playing out before him.
"I'm not sure I was playing around, and bam. Butterflies." Y/N paused, making an exploding gesture with her hands. She looked like a kid on their birthday, giddy.
“Not the most frightening thing. But hey, I did it."
"This is wonderful. My beautiful, beautiful sunshine." Y/N leaned her head on his shoulder, watching the glittering butterflies disappear with the sunset. Druig played with her hair absentmindedly, placing a soft kiss on her temple.
----
Y/N stood in the forest with everyone listening to Ajak lecture Druig about controlling the humans. Thena began to twitch and mumble inaudible things next to her. Y/N truly thought it was another insult toward Druig, but she couldn't hear anything as Phastos began yelling. Thena  started to speak a little louder this time.
“Thena?” Sersi said, turning to us looking concerned. “Are you ok?”
“Everyone is going to die” Thenas eyes went a foggy white, and she summoned a polearm ready to attack.
“Sersi!” Y/N cried out trying to get in front of her before Thena could attack. Makkari reacted instantly before the rest of the group knew what was happening, and pulled Sersi out of the warrior's way. Druig focused on Y/N’s cries.
Chaos broke out instantly. The golden weapon managed to hit Phastos. Y/N tried to summon something but there was no light available to pull from. The darkness moved slightly casting shadowy lines on the ground, but she couldn't gain control of them.  Druig yanked her out of the way as Makkari took off with Thena.
Before Druig could even try to stop her, she went running after them. She ran as fast as she could trying to have half the speed Makkari had. He called out to stop her, but she was too far gone, trying to protect those she cared about.
Makkari was hurt on the forest floor. Thena waved her weapon around frantically, nicking the girl in front of her. Drawing blood. Y/N let out a hiss. Was it dumb to run after someone when she can't fight? Absolutely, but she wanted to protect her family.  Thena was about to make a fatal blow, but Ajak stopped it with her hand. She showed no emotion as she stared the warrior down.  It was chilling.
Y/N used the distractions as her opportunity to get to her friend who was laying still. She put pressure on Makkari’s wound to slow the blood loss.Throwing her whole weight on it, which caused the girl under her to flinch.
“It's ok. We will fix this.”  Y/N spoke, trying to keep calm while waiting for Ajak to come. Hoping Makkari would understand her.
Druig knelt next to her putting his hands on top of A/N’s. A worried look flashing through him as he caught sight of the cut on her arm. Ajak was over in no time working on healing them. Gilgamesh stood by looking absolutely guilty for what he had done to Thena.
Druig pulled Y/N to a river washing her hands in the cool water. It was slowly grounding the girl back to reality. He murmured gentle affirmations to her as he scrubbed at her skin.
--
Once again, Druig and Ajak were arguing about the humans. They were all in the confines of a pyramid now. Ikaris involved himself always acting as if he was the one incharge. He threatened Druig. They frequently fought about something stupid and made empty threats. Normally Y/N would defend him. But she was overwhelmed with the dry blood that remained under her nails and Thena laying in front of her. Y/N had found it easy to tune them out through the centuries, turning them into background noise. Her second favorite person was hurting, and she couldn't fix it. This wasn't fair, she thought. Ajak couldn't even truly fix it. Her powers had limits, just like the rest of the group.
Intense words continued to be traded amongst the group. A malicious tone was hidden behind every spoken thought.  Ajak stayed calm; she was the only one with a level head. Y/N stood stark still in a corner, keeping quiet. She tried to become one with the wall behind her. Her eyes were glued to the colorful walls, begging internally for them to calm down and stop.
Eventually,  a stark silence took over the room. Cries of the innocent outside seemed to disappear through the walls. Y/N glanced up,  examining the small space. Druig was rushing out. No one moved from their place to stop him. They just watched.
Y/N began to hyperventilate; the air was thinning out. Dru wasn't going to say goodbye? Was our friendship a lie? Did he only put up with me for entertainment?  Poisonous thoughts raced through her head. Her feet had their own mind and made her take off after him.
"Druig!" Y/N Shouted, bolting down the stairs. She wanted to beg him to stop… to come back and say it was all a sick joke. She yearned for him to tell her he would never leave her behind.
‘Stay with me, please.’ She begged him subconsciously.  Her thoughts were so loud that she was half convinced he could hear them when he flinched. Y/N knew it was selfish, but she needed him
A choked sob escaped her as her feet hit the flat ground. It felt as if her heart was making its way to her throat. The thing beat rapidly against her ribs like a stampede of gazelles being chased as prey. It was almost painful.
"Dru, please." He didn't respond, only walked at a faster pace. Y/N yelled out again. One last desperate attempt to get his attention.
This time, he stopped surrounded by the people under his control. Y/N blinked back the tears, threatening to fall. She placed a hand over her mouth, smothering a sob. Druig’s hands clenched into tight fists. He watched the people in front of him, all unmoving not even a blink.
"Please- Please don't leave me."  Y/N’s voice cracked. Deep inside her soul, she knew this was goodbye. He turned to face her, eyes dilated. Instead of sapphire blue, she was met with black pools of obsidian. She stepped forward. The people were already on the defense with her movements towards the Eternal. Druig stopped them immediately she was no threat, and no harm would come to her at his hand.
"My beautiful, beautiful sunshine. I have to go. Arishems plan is not for me.” Druig cautiously wiped away a stray tear from her cheek. He never wanted to be the reason for those tears, but this was what was best for her. She would regret leaving with him, and he couldn't ask her to leave the people she loved so much. Y/N closed her eyes. Tipping her head up to the starry sky, she let out a depleted laugh.
“You are going to do wonderful things." He mumbled. Before he could stop it, he pulled her in for a hug. Druig held on tighter than usual. She wrapped herself around his frame, taking in the comfort of his hold. He buried his face in her neck. They fit together perfectly. As if they were sculpted for each other. They were two pieces of a puzzle meant to be lost. He pulled away slowly and tucked loose strands of Y/N's hair behind her ears. Then placed a gentle kiss on the tip of her nose before resting his forehead against hers.
"Please." she choked on her tears, reaching out to cup his face. She held on to him like one would hold an injured bird. Druigs eyes flashed through emotions before going blank.  Oh how he wanted to be selfish, but he couldn't ask her to leave. He wiped away another tear, yearning to stop her pain. Their lips were mere inches apart. He could take the one thing he's wanted since he met her on that ship.  But he couldn't do that to her. He was a selfish man, just not when it came to her.
"You need them, and they need you." He took a step back and locked his jaw. It took everything in his soul to not reach out and grab her. He forced himself to walk away.
"No." She whispered as she watched him retreat through the flaming city. Her heart shattered with each step he took with his new followers. A darkness began to fill in the cracks.
"I-I need you." she whispered to the air once he was gone.

Druig X Eternal! Reader
✨ (Gender Neutral) ✨
No Warnings.
After many years of being split up, the Eternals must come together as a team again. Nobody seems to know where you've been all these years, so they've gone to the one person who might know of your whereabouts...
Little did they know that you're a lot closer than they thought.
Tumblr media
"You have given me a lot of bad news in one go, my lady." Druig's tone is a lot less welcoming after he's been told the horrible truth.
"You and (Y/n) are the main parts of our big plan. We need you both to get through this." Sersi explained again. "Will you help us?"
"We can't find (Y/n)." Ikaris cut to the chase, obviously not ecstatic about needing Druig.
"All of us have searched across almost the whole planet." Sersi subtly encouraged Ikaris away from Druig, sensing the tension already rising between them. "All of (Y/n)'s favorite countries, every area we've had somekind of special or significant moment, we've even asked elders who've written many books about (Y/n). Found not a trace of where they could possibly be."
Drugs arms stayed crossed. "I don't think it's my business to just give out personal information like that." Once his fellow Eternals showed up, his peace was interrupted and he now has a headache.
He knows he told them to "make themselves at home," but he didn't expect them to drop all of this shocking news on him about their true purpose as Eternals, and then interrogate him about your location.
"Do you all remember this forest? Beautiful." Druig walked around the room with his hands clasped behind his back, trying to make small talk and steer the topic away from (Y/n). "It was the last place that we all lived together." His tone held some sorrow at the memories.
"I've protected these people for 20 generations now. From the outside world, and from themselves."
Druig towered over Kingo's valete, Karun. "Your kind, my friend, you will be responsible for your own extinction one day. Don't you think?"
Karun looked a little intimidated, but he answered honestly.
"I think that we must learn from our mistakes and do better, sir. You must not give up hope."
Druig did not seem to like his answer, expressing so by possessing Kingo's valet and proceeding to throw his camera against a wall, thoroughly frightening Karun and pissing off Kingo.
"Oh, where is your sense of humor Kingo?"
"You are not a god. You know that right?"
"How ironic. Kingo, the movie star."
"I've directed some things too."
"Oh yeah? Like what?"
"Some internet content..."
"How many views?"
"I don't do it for the views-"
"Let's go. He's waisting our time." Ikaris started heading towards the door.
"We need him and (Y/n)." Sersi tried to reason.
"Ikaris!" Druig stepped in front of the taller man's path. "I missed you."
Druig was really pushing it right now. "Are you not gonna charm me or threaten me?"
"There's a third option if you'd prefer that."
"It must be heartbreaking to find out that you're not mothers favorite." Druig taunted about Ikaris not being the next chosen leader.
"I'm sure she'd be real proud about what you've been up to." Ikaris always seemed to fall for the psychic's taunting.
"Druig, this is serious." Sersi tried to butt in once more.
"I'll tell you what's serious." Druig's voice got louder as he seemed to get more annoyed.
"I've just been told that I was sent on a suicide mission for the past 7,000 years, and that my entire existence is a lie." He looked Sersi in the eyes. "So excuse me for not giving a shit about your plan right now."
Athena stepped forward, brushing away Gilgamesh's hand that attempted to stop her from engaging in the conflict. She'd been quiet this whole time, but nobody else seemed to be getting anywhere with the stubborn psychic.
"This is very important. Everything will be lost if we can't stop the celestial birth. You have to admit that we've all gained somekind of admiration for humanity. Not only will the humans be gone, but so will all of the memories we've shared on Earth. Our memories with each other." Athena turned away from the rest of the Eternals, only addressing Druig when she said her next line, hoping that she'll strike a chord in him. "Your memories with (Y/n)."
Everyone was silent.
Druig let out a heavy sigh, but before he could even open his mouth to say anything, the large wooden door creeked open slowly.
"Hey Druig, I-"
Silence still hung heavy in the room amongst the Eternals, but this time it was shock.
There you stood, slightly different from the last time they've seen you many years ago, but still you. It all made sense now, why you were nowhere they searched, even though they've literally checked everywhere.
Your voice got caught in your throat as soon as you entered the cabin filled with your old friends, whom you may also have been technically hiding from.
"Uh...bad timing." Druig's voice rang in your head. Your panicked eyes met his from across the room.
"Holy shit." Kingo was the first to speak up. "(Y/n) has been here with Druig the whole time?!"
You let out an awkward chuckle, not knowing how to reply.
"What have the two of you even been doing here together for all of these years?!" Kingo's arms flailed in the air dramatically, obviously annoyed that all of their searching was for nothing.
"Actually, don't answer that question." Sprite put her hands up when she saw the look you and Druig exchanged.
"Ohmygosh-" Ikaris pinched the bridge of his nose in disgust.
Confused, Kingo looked back and fourth between everyone. "Wha- I wasn't even aware the two of them are a thing."
Everyone turned to look at the man in purple with expressions that read "really?"
"Are you telling me that I'm the only one who didn't know?!" Kingo was still going on about it. "(Y/n) is too kind and cute for Druig!"
You couldn't help but laugh behind your hand as Druig rolled his eyes, fighting a small smirk.
You had to admit that you missed your family.
"Well I for one honestly don't care where (Y/n) has been this whole time. I'm just glad to see them again!" Gilgamesh stomped up to you and scooped you into a big bear hug, fits of giggles escaping you as he squeezed your breath away.
Laughter eventually erupts from everyone, the atmosphere a stark contrast from how it was only 5 minutes ago.
When all was settled down again, Sersi sat you down and told you everything...
The tragic death of Ajak, your wise leader and mother figure.
How your purpose is to keep a planet happy and thriving just to destroy it by creating a celestial.
How all of your memories have been erased countless times, because you've killed planets and birthed celestials countless times.
By the end of it, you were a sobbing mess. You've always been a little more sensitive than the others, so this obviously deeply soured the peppy family reunion mood you were in.
There was no question that you were going along with Phastos's plan. You wanted to keep these memories that you've spent centuries cherishing, and you wanted to watch humanity grow so much more.
When you declared your certainty about going with them, Druig was dragged in by default.
Wherever you went, he went.
You did the same for him when shit hit the fan in Tenochtitlan and he left.
You knew you'd miss the little civilization that you and Druig have helped create, but it'll still be there after you've saved the planet. When it's all over, you can go back with Druig and continue waking up next to him every morning to start a busy day of harvesting crops and handwashing laundry.
For now though, it's back to Olympia.
....................
"Well, look who it is!"
"Didn't think you'd be so glad to see me Phastos." Druig remarked with a smirk.
"I'm not. I was talking about (Y/n)." He brushed past the raven haired Eternal to embrace you.
Makkari elbowed the psychic, who had been grinning like an idiot while watching (Y/n).
"You look like a lovesick puppy." She signed.
Druig rolled his eyes, but his grin never faltered.
"Well, I for one, still can't believe it!" Kingo's appeared on the other side of Druig.
"I've never seen this man smile bigger than that annoying smirk." Kingo playfully leaned an arm on Druig's shoulder.
"I've also had the displeasure of seeing them kiss like 50 times during the time spand of getting here from the Amazon."
"You're just jealous." Makkari joked.
"What?! No! I get tons of babes! I just don't have the time for a committed relationship." Kingo stuck his nose in the air.
You tried not to smile while listening to your friends tease Druig. You continued pretending to pay attention to Phastos's rambling about a new invention idea.
Druig's eyes caught yours.
"Get me outta here!" He pleaded in your head.
"We just got here baby." Your voice is always so gentle and soothing in his brain. Even though he's begging to leave, he doesn't mind staying as long as you're here.
"Alright. You definitely owe me one, love." A smug look dawned his features as he affectively ignored the two Eternals babbling next to him.
You felt your ears and cheeks blush, going thankfully unnoticed by Phastos.
You are going to do absolutely anything to make sure that you both come out of all of this alive and well. There's no way you could possibly imagine a lifetime without Druig.

Merry Little Christmas
Druig x Reader
Fandom: MCU
Prompt: @the-sunflower-room “can’t stop thinking about druig and have yourself a merry little christmas- so cozy 😭🙏🏻”
Note: This was actually requested last year, I believe, but I’ve always wanted to write it. I’m sorry it took me so long to get around to it, but I hope you like it! Happy Holidays, everyone <3
Warnings: None! Just cozy Christmas celebrations <3
Word Count: 1.6k words
Reader Is: Gender Neutral!
Tumblr media
Druig was never one for holidays. He wasn’t a scrooge, per se, but, as an Eternal, the seasons came and went so quickly. Years were mere blinks to a being who was thousands of years old. However, the look on your face as you put the ornaments on the tree made something stir around his heart, he had to admit.
He was sipping cocoa from a mug with a snowman on it, one from your vast collection. Kingo was in the kitchen, mixing up beverages, which was why he sensed a bit of liquor in the chocolatey beverage. It was still good, obviously, but he definitely blamed that for the rosy hue his cheeks had taken on.
Definitely not the cute little reindeer antlers you were wearing. Definitely not the way your laughter sounded from across the room.
All of the Eternals were there. A rare feat, but with the danger defeated, for now at least, it was cause for celebration, a time to be with family. It was your house you were all celebrating in, a large place tucked away in Northern Michigan, which, at this time of year, was absolutely covered in a thick layer of snow, more and more fluffy flakes coming down as the moments passed.
You spent your time as a writer. One of the most prolific of your time, the reviews said. But then again, you did have a thousand year head start on the rest of them.
Druig would never admit to it, but he had read them. All of them, every single one. He’d borrow them from libraries, read excerpts in bookstores, but Makkari had a collection of them, too. She was your most loyal beta reader. Therefore, when one went missing, she always had a pretty decent suspicion of who the culprit was.
And he wasn’t positive, but he was pretty sure most of your love interests shared a certain resemblance with…well, him. He didn’t like the way it stirred around in his chest, the way it made him feel so warm and…hopeful. But then again, he’d never asked you what you felt.
“(Y/N), where are your Christmas records?” Phastos asked, standing over with his husband, Ben, as they dug through a crate of records.
“Oh! I forgot to bring them down, I think. I’ll go grab them. I needed to get the topper anyway.” You stepped down from your stepladder and handed the ornament in your hand to Sprite, who was sitting on the floor under the tree, shaking gifts. Typical.
Druig watched as you left, eyes glued to you. Which was why he didn’t notice when Sersi had joined him, standing right beside him.
He gasped, mug rattled, but not to the point that he spilled any on his sweater. He cursed and looked over at her. “What?”
“You look rather festive, Druig. I thought you didn’t care for holidays.”
“I thought so too…” He muttered into his mug, taking a long sip.
“Right. Well, I think I saw some mistletoe in that box of decorations. I can put it up if you’d like?” She asked, that glimmer in her eyes that she got when she wanted to meddle.
Druig thought on it, as he heard your footsteps coming back down the stairs. He met her eyes and that was all that was needed. She nodded and set across the room, plucking it out of the box, along with a length of fishing line.
“I found it! The Muppets and John Denver!” You said excitedly, presenting another crate of records, this one all Christmas. “And some other stuff.”
“May I?” Phastos asked.
“Yeah, of course.” You handed them over and walked back over to the tub of ornaments, searching for a very special one. It was a large mug of cocoa with eleven marshmallows in it, each one etched with the name of an Eternal. You smiled softly and tucked it into the branches of your artificial tree, curling the fake pine to support its weight.
“Where did you find one with so many slots?” Druig found himself asking as he crossed the room to stand behind you.
“Had it custom made.” You replied, turning to face him.
“It’s beautiful, (Y/N).” Ajak complimented warmly from her seat by the fire.
“Thanks. Thought we needed something like that.”
“What are these?” Sprite asked, digging through the other box and pulling out a stocking with Thena’s name embroidered on it.
“Stockings.”
“You had those made, too?” Ajak asked, getting up to see for herself.
“Well, I did them. The embroidery, at least.” You admitted with a shrug, motioning to the hooks under the mantle. “We can put them up, if you want.”
Makkari nodded and grabbed the stockings, putting them all in one clean row in a blur of red and green. She stood next to Druig, elbowing him and tilting her head towards his stocking, which she’d put on the end.
Right next to yours.
He nearly choked on his cocoa. So did everyone know, then? Sersi, Makkari, who else? Kingo, no doubt.
“You alright there, Druig? Looking flushed.” Ikaris jabbed, that wicked gleam in his eyes.
Alright, then, yeah, it was everyone. Everyone but you, it seemed.
It was as if a stormcloud manifested above his head. He shook his head and stalked off towards the kitchen. He didn’t know much, but he did know a cookie would make him feel better. Snacks always seemed to. And there was no shortage of them, especially now, when you and Gilgamesh had baked nearly twelve dozen batches of them. Gingerbread, snickerdoodle, sugar cookies shaped like trees, chocolate chip, oatmeal no-bakes.
He reached for a sprinkle-covered tree and bit off the tip of it, the frosting sweet. The oven started beeping and you rushed in, arming yourself with an oven mitt before reaching in for what he assumed must be one of the last trays. Oatmeal raisin, it looked like.
“Do you need any help?” He asked, staring as you straightened up and brushed the hair out of your face.
“Oh! Thank you, Druig. I’m all set, though. Are they good?”
“Are what—” He looked down at the half-eaten tree in his hand. “Oh, yeah. They’re great.”
“Awesome.” You grinned. “New frosting recipe.”
“Well it’s perfect, whatever it is.” He leaned against the counter, that boyish smirk on his face. He wasn’t sure what came over him, then, but he had to get it out. “It’s great, by the way. That new book of yours.”
“You read it?”
“I read all of your books.” He confessed. “I think this one’s your best.”
Your heart raced as you met his eyes. Surely he knew, right? He had to. That you’d been writing about him for centuries. When he’d left all those years ago, hundreds of years ago, he’d taken a piece of your heart with him, a piece you’d only found in fiction, it seemed.
“Thank you. It…it means a lot to hear you say that.”
“Can’t wait for your next one.” He winked, plucking up a second cookie and leaving the kitchen before his tongue got him in any more trouble than it already had.
***
Later in the night, when almost everyone had gone to sleep, you were up, wrapping presents in front of the fireplace, folding the paper neatly, complete with name tags and perfect little bows.
You’d switched records. It was an older one, the Rat Pack.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas…Let your heart be light…
The words were smooth, glided right out of the speaker. Snow was still coming down in droves. It was good you had nowhere to go, otherwise you’d be snowed in. Well, if your family didn’t have every superpower known to man, you would be anyway. You were glad they were there.
You were glad they were home.
“Can’t sleep?” Druig’s voice startled you from your reverie and you turned around, grateful his present was already wrapped and under the tree.
“Not until I get these wrapped.” You told him.
“Christ, you really do go all out, don’t you?” He chuckled, crossing the room and sitting on the floor beside you, yet another cookie in his hand.
“I think I’d lose my mind if I didn’t. Keeps me…in synch. The routine of a year, you know?”
“Mmm.” He hummed, nodding, face alight in the warm oranges of the flames. “I didn’t see it that way until…recently.”
“Until right now?”
“Yeah, something like that.” He chuckled, watching as you carefully wrapped the last one, taping every edge perfectly and putting a tag on top, printing Sprite’s name with a pen. “What’d you get her?”
“You’ll have to find out tomorrow morning.” You told him, shifting to slide it under the tree with the others. “What did you get her?”
“It’s a surprise.” He grinned as you settled in next to him.
“Is it a surprise to you, too?”
He gasped, offended. “I got presents for everyone!”
“I believe you.”
“Sure you do.” He shook his head, laughing softly. “Say, ehm, (Y/N), I’ve been wondering…”
“Mistletoe!” You gasped, staring straight up at the ceiling where, sure enough, a string of mistletoe hung, glittering in the low light. “Who put that up?”
“Well I’ll be…” He breathed, staring up at it, too, heart racing faster than it had in any battle. “What…do you suppose we do about that?”
“I have a few ideas.” You slowly brought your gaze down, meeting his eyes.
He may have been the telepath, but you could tell the only thing on his mind was you as he leaned in, thick eyelashes fluttering shut as his lips met yours, pink and plush and warm. You kissed back, not leaving a single doubt in his mind that you wanted this, wanted him. Your hand rose to his flushed cheek, holding him close as his arm wound around your waist.
The grandfather clock struck midnight, and he pulled away to rest his forehead on yours, noses flush, eyes on you, glimmering with a million words unspoken. He did have a few, though. “Merry Christmas, (Y/N).”
“Merry Christmas, Druig.”

Ikaris being possessive of his newly seduced submissive bottom even as he shows him off. Look, but don’t touch. Everyone knows who the hot young Avenger belongs to
Apparently, Ikaris and Y/N had two different ideas of training. Y/N expected to be trained in the sacred arts of the Eternals fighting style, not in the ways of being a dumb submissive bottom boy. It was utterly humiliating being taken by Ikaris and filled with his golden cum as Ajak and the other female Eternals returned to the Domo. Despite being given a stern talking to by Sersi and Ajak, Y/N couldn't help but blush at the smiling faces of Thena, Makkari, and Sprite as he was naked and covered in cum.
Ikaris was very protective of his newly submissive bottom. All the Eternals would have to follow stripper rules: look, but don't touch. Especially after Druig and Kingo gave a pinch and firm smack to Y/N's bare ass as he yelped. Ikaris glared and flashed his eyes as his blue eyes turned gold.
Perhaps Y/N was right. He had total control over him, and he didn't even have to use hypnosis, sex-pollen, or a trigger word to turn him into someone so submissive for him, and all he did was show him a good time. Perhaps these fanfictions were onto something after all.
Even the Avengers knew that Y/N was Ikaris's. Even though most of them were polite enough not to laugh at him to his face, Tony and Thor had no such problem as they teased him about it every single chance they could. Ikaris felt a rush of power having this much control. This was perhaps something Druig would be into, so he was surprised at how much he liked having control over this hot young Avenger.

Druig x gn!Eternal!reader
Masterlist
Summary: Once again a team, you would do anything to keep them together.
Word count: ~2.2k
Warnings: Canon-level violence/injury. Reader has fire powers. A bit of angst, reader misses the team. Fluff!!
A/n: Not sure how alive the Druig fandom is lol, but he's been plaguing my mind since I watched Eternals again. It's my first time writing for him, so please let me know your thoughts! Thank you for reading <3
--
Unrelenting. The deviants continued in waves, the swells of their army growing as they passed over the grassy hill — the soil churned up under their talons.
At the bottom of the hill, past you, stood a village already half torn apart from the monsters. It awaited its fate against the gnawing fangs currently bared toward you and the other Eternals fighting to hold them back.
And as your power coursed through your veins and muscles, down into your marrow — searing fire erupting from your palms into a wall to keep the deviants contained — you thought of your team.
Your eyes had long been squeezed shut as you held the army back, the swirling flames rising high into the smoky air. The creases between your brows only fueled the pounding in your head, making images stark behind your eyelids. Images shimmering with the aching memories of the only family you’d known splitting apart  — splintering like your mind under the weight of your straining power.
Most of your team had been apart for hundreds of years, separated by oceans and long-worn arguments that came to a bitter end. Few saw eye to eye when things became tense, and while you had tried to see each of them occasionally, the visits felt too short and all too quiet without the others. Like visiting your childhood home once you’ve moved out — you once belonged there, but the decorations felt different, the walls long bare of your voice.
And yet.
When you were called together once again, they’d come back to fight side by side, as if none of that lonely time had passed — or had left an ugly scar on your memories.
You knew that they’d probably go their separate ways again after it all finished, happier apart, but for now, you relished in it all. The whipping of wind around your body as Makkari ran past and the sound of Kingo’s sarcastic remarks as he shot lasers past you. Even as your arms began to shake, exhaustion settling into your limbs, you were glad to be by them once more.
Strengthen the left side. Put that extra nap you took to good use.
A hint of a smile graced your face as the lilting voice of your husband Druig filled your head. He fought somewhere out of view to your right as you sent more fire out left, keeping the wall of flames steady.
Each hit the deviants sent against it reverberated back into your body, chattering your teeth against each other. But the others were attacking from other sides, thinning out the army — all to give Phastos time to build something from nothing like he always did.
Thousands of years ago, your team handled the monsters with little effort, but there were so many concentrated here — and they weren’t going down as easily. So Phastos’ expert hands crafted an explosive so strong that it’d reduce them to nothing, but they had to stay contained in one area for it to work.
So you kept them back using the only way you knew how. After all this time with your abilities, you’d learned to welcome the heat breathing from your palms — to settle into the warmth it curled around your body.
The sweat, the exhaustion, the pure power rocking from you in waves matched your rapid heartbeat — it all meant that you were alive. But as the deviants beat against your flames with no pause or mercy, your knees shaking and bones aching, it felt like you were dying. Each breath felt too shallow, the strength of the monsters too strong.
You heard their growls aimed at you — could feel their anger against your fire. As you forced an eye open, blinking away drops of sweat, you couldn’t see any of your teammates for a moment, and your heart jolted.
A brief thought passed your mind, worrying whether they had abandoned you — had left you like discarded remnants of food to be feasted on by these monsters. But just as you’d slipped down onto one knee, your leg giving out, you saw Gilgamesh and Sprite fighting stray deviants back from the darkening corners of your vision.
As a groan ached to leave your mouth, you only hoped Phastos would finish soon enough.
But your flames began to flicker, leaving holes in the wall for the deviants to slip through. You caught a flash of light as Thena tried fighting some, but there were dozens all waiting for this exact moment. Even with the whole team together, the fight had begun to shift.
As they broke past the smoldering fire, you dropped to the ground, the dry grass biting into your palms. Ragged breaths ached through your lungs, scratching along the inside of you with each inhale. Your vision began to blur, your head spinning as you struggled to stand back up.
Even in this state, you saw a deviant stalking toward Phastos. Glancing around, you found everyone else occupied and overwhelmed — so you raised your shaky palm.
But your powers sputtered, spent from trying to hold so many back. Your throat, so painfully dry, cracked as you tried to scream to get his attention. Nothing came out but a whimper.
Still, you stumbled toward him with your body burning too hot, your steps much too slow to make it there in time. Your legs kept moving.
Come on, I know you’ve got more in you.
The voice came from inside your head, from your mind that begged you to rest. But it was Druig again. Each word sounded strained as he fought a deviant much too far away to get here in time.
He needs you. Just a little more, sweetheart. Then you can rest.
Please.
His last plea to you trickled through your brain, dripping down your spine and out to your fingers. You thought of Gilgamesh wrapping Thena in his arms the way he did, smiles etched onto their faces. You thought of Makkari’s gifts, all of them stolen relics she “found” along the way. You remembered the weddings, the dances, the births, and the funerals you attended of all the humans you’d come to love along your long lives.
And you quickened your steps as you felt the gentle caress of Druig’s fingers brushing along the apple of your cheek — as kind as the way he whispered into your mind.
Your power began to surge again, your feet pushing your body forward to help your team. But as you commanded pure fire to burn from your hands, the deviant lunged at Phastos.
The world shifted, your steps stuttering, as you watched its long teeth sink into Phastos’ body.
Only a weak grunt left his lips as blood began to pool along his shoulder. Watching his face twist, you sprinted to him with panic closing around your throat. The unforgiving exhaustion and screaming in your mind fell away, leaving just an ache in your chest as hollow as Phastsos’ ragged breaths.
He pushed the deviant away, falling to his knees from the monster’s bloody maw. His red-stained fingers continued working on the explosive device, even as Makkari guided him away from the fight.
In that instant, with painful fire burning beneath your skin, you knew you’d be no help to healing Phastos. Your vision instead tunneled onto the deviant responsible.
White-hot rage clouded your senses as you leapt onto it, grabbing its head with a furious grip. Fire pulsed through your body, its power searing new images behind your eyelids.
The monster roared beneath you as you saw Druig leaving the group all those years ago, the pain of his helplessness worn on his sleeve. The broken look on Thena’s face flashed as bright as the fire exploding from you. An image of you, sat alone in your home, alone, while Druig was away — your family nowhere near.
And you wouldn’t let that happen again, not because of these monsters.
Your teeth clenched so hard against each other you thought they might shatter. On the edges of your awareness, you felt your knees hit scorched earth.
Even though it was gone, burnt beneath your body, you stood up again while more deviants came at you. Without thinking, your hand raised to them, unrelenting as you created another wall to protect your team. It didn’t just keep them back, it burned them into nothingness. Even with shaking arms, you refused to give them an inch.
You thought hearing Phastos completing the device would be a sigh of relief — a soft voice telling you that you’d done enough. But as a wave of air pushed past you, the rush of Makkari speeding to the center of the deviants, you found no solace.
Even when the explosion flashed bright and shook the ground seconds later, sending you back down to your hands and knees, your rage refused to die out.
You shielded your eyes, finding many of the deviants evaporated into dust. But the few that were far enough away from the explosion continued their fight. Their dark eyes and unforgiving claws just reminded you of how many they’d hurt
Their agonized screams only made your mind want to keep going.
Stop. We’ve got the rest. You need to stop.
You didn’t. Couldn’t. Wouldn’t? Who knew. You could only see the reds and oranges dance around one another, seeking  revenge where it was needed.
The power pulled and pulled at you, draining from your veins until it threatened to smother you forever.
You were going to burn out, reduce yourself to cinders amongst clouds of smoke.
Druig’s begging voice continued to echo through your mind, but you couldn’t focus on any specific word. It all mushed together, smoldering along with the rest of the world.
You wanted them to pay, but it was hurting you. Tears ran down your dry cheeks, searing a trail through the ashes caked onto your skin.
“Please,” you whispered from cracked lips. Your body swayed as you asked Druig to fill your mind with hope. You needed him to stop you.
The flames continued to spill from your body until you felt a trickle at the back of your brain. The floating sensation bled forward and pulled you away from the cliff your mind was about to fall over.
Your hands dropped to the ground once more, fingers clawing into the rubble to keep you steady. You hadn’t realized the ringing in your ears until it faded, letting in the sounds of your teammates fighting off the last deviants.
Phastos is okay. You protected him. We’re okay.
You trusted Druig with your life, and his with you. So you knew he took no offense as you turned over to see it yourself, see Phastos with your own eyes. He sat with his back against one of the village’s buildings, giving you a thumbs up and tired smile.
You returned it, the edges of your mouth lifting just enough. As you crawled from the circle of burnt ground around you, your heart slowed. They were all still here.
From behind, you felt your husband’s presence, caught his deep exhale as he sat among the grass.
His hands wrapped around your body, moving you to rest your back against your chest. “Rest, my love,” he murmured along the curve of your ear, smoothing his palm down your leg. And you did, sitting with your legs bent and feet planted as you relished in the weight of him encircling you.
Your throat felt too parched, so you whispered in your mind, I was so angry. I thought he was gone for a moment.
Druig leaned his head against yours, his thumb rubbing along your skin. “Aw, no way he’d go down that easily. He knows you’d kill him if he died on ya.”
His chuckle reverberated against you, drawing out your own laughter. An easy smile made its way onto your face, turning brighter as a wafting breeze washed over you.
The rest of the team made their way toward the village, each holding varying injuries from the fight. Gilgamesh patted a heavy hand onto your knee as he passed, his other hand encircling Thena’s arm. You watched as Sprite and Kingo joined them too, the latter making a fuss about how his suit didn’t match his complexion well enough.
The short beat of silence after they walked away felt painfully familiar. It made your heart heavy knowing their presence wouldn’t last.
“They love you, you know,” Druig said, knowing exactly where your thoughts went without having to read them. Turning your head to look at him, you admired the way sunlight carded its fingers through his hair and kissed freckled spots on his irises.
You nodded, giving his arm a squeeze in thanks. He pressed his forehead against yours, eyes fixated on you.
“And I love you, but please don’t ever pull a stunt like that again. Scared me half to death,” he breathed against your skin with a grin, lightly pinching your side to make his point.
It brought out a squeal from your lungs, your jaw dropping. “Are you sure you love me?” you laughed, shaking your head. “Because someone who loves me wouldn’t do that.”
You jokingly tried pinching him back, but he caught your hand, bringing it to his smiling mouth. With a gentleness that made you pause, he kissed your palm.
I love you more than anything… more than life itself.
His words caressed along your mind, filling your body with a warmth that didn’t pull at you or demand energy — it just settled deep into your ribs, breathing life into you. The comforting presence of his voice pulled you in, telling you that even when the team eventually left, your home would always be with you.
I love you too, Druig.

Would you continue something for the president one? Maybe Gil protecting her against someone who is very angry during a meeting and is about to attack her but he intervenes very fast and powerful?
"I believe the treaty is fine as it stands."
"I believe it requires amendments."
They hadn't made all that much progress since those two mission statements, unfortunately. They had been in this meeting upwards of an hour and everything, but with no real progress to speak of. Thena maintained that they needed a new agreement according to her new term and policies.
Kro was of the mind that the treaty - already tenuous and reluctant - was fine as it was.
"Perhaps we should reconvene," Gil suggested from the side, keeping Thena's schedule in his hand. He had a few notes he'd taken, but more than that, he had his eyes on Thena.
She was tired, the stress of their meeting weighing on her, the worry of what to report to the press, even just the fact that Kro gave her the creeps on a personal level. She was obviously on edge.
"What amendments would be made?" Kro asked, all but ignoring Gil and his attempt at intervention.
"Amendments which would prevent the repetition of my, " she blinked, "predecessor. Amendments which I believe would better protect both our peoples."
Kro was unmoved by her attempt at convincing him to amend. "Madame President, I do not know if this is the kind of agreement into which you would like to enter."
Thena glanced at Gil. They knew that Kro and Ikaris had made some sort of arrangement. That was most likely the real reason behind his reluctance to make changes. It would seal any cracks he was currently using to his advantage.
"My assistant is correct, we should reconvene," Thena declared. They would have to look at things from an investigative standpoint before continuing. She stood.
"Oh, we're done, are we?"
Gil bristled, uncomfortable with the tone that was being used with Thena, but stood his ground. He held out his hand for her to join him, "our meeting time has already gone over, sir. The President has other obligations."
Thena's hand drifted to Gil's subconsciously. Kro rose from his chair in the same second, extending a hand from an arm that looked longer than anticipated. She barely blinked.
"I don't believe I dismissed you."
Gil moved between them, his security training kicking in. He grasped Kro's wrist, twisting it and forcing it back to the table. He used his other hand to grab the elbow, pressing it in the wrong direction. "Don't!"
Kro snarled at him, and his own security reacted from the back of the room as well. "Let go of me!"
"Do not attempt to touch the president," Gil repeated, although it was equal instinct for him to tell the bastard not to touch his girlfriend.
"Stand down!" Kro's security ordered, their weapons already held and pointed.
Gil didn't look up from holding Kro down. He wasn't wearing a vest - because this was a diplomatic meeting - but he was at least in front of Thena. He looked at Kro, growling up at him like a caged animal. "Call them off."
"Gil," Thena whispered behind him. She snuck her hand up the back of his suit jacket to tug at his shirt from behind.
Kro held up his other hand to signal his security to stand down. "Excuse me--a reflex from my days in service."
Gil released the diplomatic leader, stepping back and straightening his suit. "Excuse me--my reflexes are the same."
The two men looked at one another, fully understanding that both statements were at least partial lies. But Kro sank back to the far wall of the room, his security slipping their weapons away. "We will have to revisit the treaty at a later date, ma'am."
"Indeed," Thena answered evenly, although she hadn't moved, even amidst all the commotion. She kept herself poised properly as Kro was led from the room.
Gil looked back at her as the door closed. Thena was tough, even for being the president. But he saw the extra pallor in her cheeks. "You okay?"
Thena looked around the room. It was just her and Gil. She moved forward, pressing her face in his chest, "never a dull moment."
Gil chuckled, rubbing her back as she let herself relax against him. "I guess you could say that."
Thena sighed, intaking his scent, "I knew you had it under control."
"Can't let the foreign bodies get handsy with you, sweetheart," he smiled, enjoying Thena's brief moment of being touchy-feely. "You sure you're okay?"
"I never liked him," she sighed, wilting against him even more. "I should have known he and Ikaris had some kind of underhanded deal laid out between them."
It was suspected that Ikaris had made his escape through Kro's protected territory.
"No use worrying about it now," Gil attempted to reason, still rubbing her back. "We'll have Druig look into some stuff, then we can come back and negotiate better."
"That does make sense," she conceded, turning her cheek against his shirt. "And I'm exhausted after all his blathering."
"Sorry love," he kissed the top of her head, "you have two more meetings today."
Thena pressed her face into his chest again just to let out a pained groan.
"I know," he kissed her hair again, "but I managed to squeeze in some lunch for you."
Thena tilted her head up at him, leaning up on the toes of her sensible heels, "what would I do without you?"
Gil sighed into the brief but luxurious kiss. "That's my line, hon. Now, let's get outta here, hm?
"Let's," she agreed, slipping her hand into his more properly. It was a courteous hold, perfectly appropriate for helping the president about her daily duties. And it was one of the few small luxuries they could afford as a couple. "What's on the menu?"
"There are a couple options, but how would you feel about a sandwich from that place you like?" Gil helped her into her coat, catching the way her eyes sparkled at the notion. "And a cup of soup?"
She sighed anew at the promise of a cup of tomato basil and a hot grilled cheese. He liked to tease her for being the president and also having very basic tastebuds.
But every night they had in the house together, he would make her fresh tomato soup and a sourdough grilled cheese if she asked.

You walk around the jungle “are we almost there?” everyone turns to look at you “what?” You roll your eyes and walk ahead of everyone. After a few minutes in the distance you can hear voices, you move some foliage and begin to see buildings “finally” “wait M/n” “what?” “We have to be careful, we haven’t seen Druig in centuries” “he’s not going to hurt us, if anything he’ll try to hurt Ikaris” you walk out and towards some people.
“Hi I’m M/n” they just stare at you “okay, where’s Druig?” they don’t answer you and just look at you “you guys can come out” you tell the rest of the eternals, they begin to come out of the bushes. People begin to gather around you and some of them come out with guns. You let out a small laugh “what are you guys doing here?” “We came to talk Druig”
You watch as he walks out of a building and lifts his hand “continue with your shores” the people begin to walk away and act like you guys aren’t there. You watch as Druig begins to walk towards you, he stands a few inches away from you “whatever you guys have to say to me it has to wait until tomorrow, it’s getting by late” he walks past you and towards a building “you guys coming?” everyone begins to follow Druig.
“Alright Athena, Sersi and Sprite, this would be your room for the night”. You watch as the three of them walk into a building “see you tomorrow” you wave goodbye “Gilgamesh, Kingo and Ikaris, your room is just across” “what about me?” He turns to look at you “you can sleep with me” he stands against the doorway and smiles.
You look down at your feet “well sleep tight guys, common M/n” the two of you walk out of the building, you walk next to him “so how have you been?” “I’ve been good, when’s the last time we saw each other again?” The two of you make it to another building and he opens the door for you “a few years ago” “mmmh it seems like it was centuries ago” he closes the door behind you and locks it.
You walk into a familiar room and notice that nothing has changed “it still looks the same?” “Yea, why wouldn’t it?” “I would’ve thought you would change it” “not really some of these things remind me of you” he walks up behind you and grips your hips pulling you closer towards him “I missed you M/n” you throw your head back and Druig begins to kiss your neck “I’ve missed you too Druig”
He spins you around so you're looking at him “why did you stop visiting?” “I don’t know” he leans in closer towards your lips and connects your lips, you run your hands through his hair. The two of you moan into each other's mouths, he pulls away from the kiss and looks into your e/c eyes “you have the most beautiful eyes” you smile “you always tell me that” “it’s true” he removes his shirt and throws it on the ground.
You take your hand and touch his chest, he grabs your hand and holds it over his heart “you feel that?” “Yea” you look at him and smile. You walk back and fall on the bed and the two of you begin to kiss each other. After a few minutes he pulls away from the kiss smiling “god you’re so amazing” he takes your face in his hands and you smile “thanks”
Your hands travel down his body and they come to a stop near the buttons of his jeans “you want me to take these off?” You look up at him and smile. He stands up and begins to slowly remove his jeans, you bite your lip as you see his cock spring free. “You like what you see?” “I like it a lot” he walks back towards you “want me to help you remove these?” You nod.
He begins to unbutton your jeans and pulls them down with your underwear, you watch as he throws your jeans on the ground. He trails his hands down your body and takes your cock in his hands, you watch as he spits into his hands and begins to stroke it. You throw your head back gripping the bed sheets “mhm” after a few more strokes he finally lets go of your cock.
You sit back up and pull him down towards you kissing him in the process, he pulls away from the kiss and looks at you. You watch as he aligns his cock with your entrance “wait” “is something wrong” you smile “no, nothings wrong. It’s just….can I ride you?” “I would love nothing more” he lays down next to you and you get on top of him.
He looks up at you and grabs your hips, you spit into your hand and apply the spit into your hole. You grab his cock and align it with your entrance, you slowly begin to sink down and you begin to feel full as he’s fully inside of you. “Mhm are you okay M/n?” “Yea, I just forgot how big you were” you wait a couple of minutes before you begin to move your hips up and down.
“Mhm oh my gosh” you look down at him and watch as he has his eyes closed from the pleasure, you arch your back as he hits your prostate with his cock. “Oh fuck yea M/n” “mhm I like bouncing in that big cock” you begin to pick up the pace and feel as he constantly hits your prostate. “Mhm you fuck me so good” “you like that dick” “yea, I love it”
You come to a stop and begin to roll your hips, loving how Druig hit all the right spots inside of you. “Ahhh M/n I’m close” “I want you to cum inside of me” he grips your hips tightly and begins to thrust into you “mmmh Druig” “ahh ahh FUCK” he delivers one last thrust into you and you feel as his warm cum begins to invade your insides.
“Mhm” you lift your hips one last time and feel as your eyes roll to the back of your head as you begin to cum all over Druig’s chest “mmhm” you stop you’re movements and feel as his cum begins to leak from your ass. You lean down and begin to kiss him, you pull away from the kiss and fall next to him. “Come here” he pulls you close towards him “I wish we could stay like this for ever” “me too” “Promise me that after all this is over, we can finally be together” “I promise Druig”

Golden eyed phantom ch 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing Druig x reader
Rating explicit 18+ only minors ageless blank and non unadapted blogs will be blocked.
Plot: phantom of the opera au
Warnings: Some smut (im still learning how so go easy on me) fingering, dream sex, mind control but not dark)
Tumblr media
The opera de popular was one of the crown jewels of paris, a place where dreams and nightmares can become a reality. It’s also where young (y/n) (l/n) found themselves living after the untimely death of their only living relative, their father. With no living family and no prospective husband (y/n) would have been homeless if not for Madame Ajak, the kindly dance instructor of the opera and a dear friend to the girls late father.
Madame Ajak became the mother you never knew, kind, caring, always able to cure any physical ailment that seemed to bother her or anyone else, with Madame came Sersi. She was another girl that had grown up in the opera. Madame Ajak was unable to have children of her own so she adopted Sersi when she was just a baby. The young woman was only a few years older then (y/n) and the two became fast friends. Sersi showed you the ins and outs of the opera house, really the ins and outs of Paris. Many times she would take you out and about to learn about your new home and everything in it including the rest of the people that would make up your new family. The first members you met came in the form of Gilgamesh and Thena.
Gilgamesh was the chief of security for the opera house. He was a giant boulder of a man well built and very intimidating at first glance, that is until he smiles at you and turns into the giant teddy bear he is. Always making sure all of us are safe and sneaking in baked goods every now and then. You wouldn’t know just from looking at him but he was an amazing baker, especially his pies they were to die for. With Gilgamesh came his partner Thena, she was gorgeous a goddess without even trying. She was the stunt, fighting and weapons expert for the opera and many other production houses in Paris. Many people thought she was a model but the mere thought made her grimace, “Why would I want to be a model and have to care what everyone thought of me?” Even though she had a tough exterior she was also very kind in her ways. Thena was determined for all of us younger girls at the opera to be able to protect ourselves, teaching everyone basic self defense and warning signs and so on and so forth. She was truly a ferocious mama bear if she wanted to be, to you she just became a protective aunt.
Next up was, without a doubt, your favorite trio, Phastos,Sprite and Makkari. All three worked backstage, keeping the opera house running as fabulously as it does. Phastos was the head engineer/ prop master. If something needed to be built he was the guy, his creations awe inspiring, some looking as though they had come straight out of the future, but he was still humble enough to answer any questions you or anyone had about the devices. Alongside Phastos worked sprite. She was young that was undeniable but boy was she talented, A true artist she was the head set designer and painter. Everything she created was so stunning you couldn’t even tell it wasn’t real. While Phastos was somewhat humble, Sprite was spunky, quick witted and sharp tongue when wronged. She halted being looked down on because of how young she looked and would lay into anyone who belittled her.
Makkari was a completely different story, even though she was deaf that did not stop her. Always with a kind smile on her face she ran around helping pull everything together. She was the resident lighting and stage hand always in the right place at the right time, almost like there were seven of her. When she wasn’t working she would be in the shopping district, dragging (y/n) with her to oogle all the shiny and sparkly Knick knacks, all the beautifully colored fabrics and imports coming in. In fact that's how Kingo was introduced.
Kingo was a fashionista, a real eye for how to make everyone look their best with one look.he was the opera's resident costume designer / understudy. Kingo dreamed of being on stage; he knew all the words, all the songs, everything, but sadly his time in the spotlight had not yet come. Everyone always reassured him his time would come, in fact you would always run lines with him whenever he was feeling down, he was over the top dramatic for sure but so entertaining. Probably the only thing more entertaining was picking on him with sprite and makkari. His reaction to the twos joke always brought a smile to your face, and was almost a bonding experience with the other girl.
During the day there was enough to distract you from your sullen thoughts. In particular the formation of a new found family, always there to relieve you of your boredom and loneliness but at night it was a different story. About a month after you had arrived you sat in the opera's small chapel, lighting a candle for your fathers soul. You guess your gentle weeping is what brought forth the angel's song, but all you really remember is the gentle glowing gold of the candles or at least you think it was the candles but you didn't really care as the feelings of calm wash over you with the soft timber of the angel's voice. At night or really whenever you were alone the angel would speak to you. Teach you the ways of the opera house and the music that went along with it. He was a mystic presence, always there but never in reach.
He invaded your whole life, when not learning from him at night your dreams started turning to him.
It would start with his voice, hearing it in your head as you drifted to sleep, the scene would change to a candle lit backdrop, soft smells of vanilla fill the air, a dreamy feeling wanders around you, then you would feel hands wrap around you. They were strong, long fingers as they wandered up and down your frame. You dare not turn around not wanting the feelings he provokes from you to end too quickly.
Tumblr media
You watch as those glorious hands gently slide up your leg taking your thin night shift with them until they reach your core. A branding iron of heat in eloping you as he probes you. Fingers lightly playing with your clit as his lips caressed your ear, words ringing through your very soul it felt
“My beautiful beautiful muse, I've waited so long for you. I’ll never forget the day I first heard your voice, it was like hearing a blessing.”
You couldn’t even articulate words to reply to him shivering as hard as you were from merrily his touch.
“I can not wait for the day you truly belong to me. Mind. Body. And soul”
You feel his fingers stroking in tune to his words. Marking his point deep within your walls, but before you are able to climb to the peak a loud ringing sounds from beside you
“Ignore it”
You try of course but the ringing doesn’t stop. With each ring the scene around you shakes, deteriorating back into the blackness that waits behind your rapidly opening eyes. You sit up in shock, eyes trying to adjust to your bedroom as your alarm rings beside you. Your body still shivering from the after effects of the dream you just had.
Tumblr media
Five years had passed, under your teachers guidance your gift bloomed but the only people you would even attempt to try to sing for would be your new family, and that was only light humming. The dreams became normal as well. Usually they happened after working with your mysterious and gracious master. You never learned anything more about him. All you knew was his voice but the one in your dreams seemed to evolve.
First was his hands and then his arms then his legs, his back, even a head of dark brown hair. But never his face. It was starting to vex you honestly, every time waking up from the pure euphoria of those dreams too have reality slap you in the face of how lonely you felt. Not that your new family did not appease your heart, in fact being with them was as natural as breathing. To be honest you couldn't describe what was wrong with you, all you could summarize it as was that it felt like part of you was missing.
Tumblr media
A week after your 24th birthday the new owners of the opera appeared and with them came someone familiar.
“Listen up everyone!” Mr Richard's the old owner calls to everyone, all of us currently gathered on the main stag rehearsing the latest show
“I would like to introduce the new owners of the opera Monsieur Nelson and Monsieur Murdock.”
Everyone claps all clambering around to get the best views of the two young owners. You had to admit neither were horrible looking, you thought it was interesting for a blind person to want to buy an opera but it made sense to, even if he couldn’t see the performances, listening to them was the next best thing.
‘Thank you all, thank you we are both very happy to start our adventures in the arts.” Mr Nelson started “We would also like to introduce our generous backer Count Ikaris de solar.” Finished Mr Murdock to when a handsome brunette stepped onto stage to everyone’s approval and applause.
“Ikaris?” You gasped out as everyone continued to clap and awe over the count
“Do you know him (y/n)?” Sersi asks confusingly
“Yes, we knew each other as children. We were somewhat close before his family moved away, I can’t believe that's truly him.”
Before you get another word in, a loud clearing of the throat silences everyone. Mademoiselle Ayesha and her pompous son Adam, step through the crowd in their fine costumes. The madame was the current lead soprano for the opera even though you thought she couldn't sing for shit. Her voice was almost as grating as her attitude towards everyone. Sprite assumed the only reason she was given any parts was because of her stupidly wealthy family and late husband. But you choose not to comment on that. The woman stands there covered in gold and signals to the maestro to start at the top of her aria once more
Tumblr media
Oh no she's starting again Sersi says from beside you already getting ready to cover her ears. In fact you can even see the housekeeping staff in the audience stuffing Cotton in their ears. The woman doesn’t get but a few lines in the aria her screeching tone ringing through the stage before the rolled up backdrop above her comes crashing down. The light but sturdy fabric lands on top of the soprano pinning her belly flopped to the stage floor to the shocks and screams of everyone around.
They rush to help the woman up but the damage to her pride is too great. She starts screeching about all the previous accidents directed at her, of all the misfortune and indignity that has befallen her and how she will not stand for it any longer. Mr Murdock simply stands there letting the scene unfold as Mr Nelson loses his mind along the diva as she. Stomps her heel gathering all her things, her son and their people and promptly leaving
The new owners were in a tissy (mostly foggy) wondering how they are supposed to open tomorrow with no star. How this whole adventure is now wasted. Madame Ajak promptly interrupts, saving Mr Nelson from a full melt down, handing the duo a dark black envelope with a giant red wax seal on it.
“Where did that come from?” You ask Sersi
“That confirms it then, It must was the phantom”
“The phantom?”
“Have you honestly not heard the others talk about this?
“No?”
She just shakes her head at you before filling you in on the details
“He's a mysterious person, some say he’s a ghost, others a demon but no one knows for sure. They say he's been here forever always making his presence known. In fact the previous owner used to pay him a monthly wage just to appease him, that and that box number 5 be kept empty for him whenever he wishes. Everything was going well but this past couple years he has gotten a little more devious.
“Why?”
No one really knows, and everyone’s afraid to ask or look around afraid they’ll never be seen again.
Before you can ask sersi more your name is being called.
“(Y/n)(l/n) can do it.”
What?” You had missed the conversation between the two new owners and Madame Ajak
One of your dances can replace the star diva from the past 5 years.? Your sure about that?
“Foggy why don't we give the girl a chance”
“Matt this is doing nothing for. My nerves
You stand there like a deer in headlight hoping you could somehow slip to the back and out of sight but Sersi sees you growing anxiety and gently but firmly directs you towards Ajak.
Madame gently took you from her daughter and lead you to the center of the stage
“Madame what,,,,but,, I,,,”
“It will be alright dear. I've heard you practice these last couple of years when you sneak off at night, and i know your teacher has taught ypu well”
“My teacher?”
Ajak just gives you a knowing look before she turns towards the maestro and nods at him leaving you standing there as everyone watches.
You hear quiet cheer from stage left where your little opera family all stand giving you thumbs up and right smiles, trying to ease your nerves, though it doesn’t really help, it's not till you look up towards the grand chandler that that gentle calming glow envelops your senses once more.
“From the top of the aria mademoiselle”
The band picks up and the music begins to play
Tumblr media
To be honest you don't remember much after that. It was a whirlwind of activity. Being swept off stage and quickly fitted into costumes, stage managers telling you where you need to stand, color spotting you with lights all the fixing basically to make it seem like you were always meant to be in the role.
You didn't know that while you sang your heart out on stage a certain young count had finally taken notice of you
“(Y/n)?”
“That’s the girl that used to follow you around?” Count Arishem Ikarus’s father ask begrudgingly
“Yes father that's the daughter of that famous violinist tha lived near our old summer home.”
“Well, well we may have found ourselves a diamond in the rough after all. The elder count scrutinizes the crowd all gawking at the peasant, like she's a princess. All he sees is an opportunity to boost his family further, the gears of his plan already forming in his mind.
Phantoms pov
There she is at last! Right where she belongs, my beautiful beautiful muse.

wc: 3.4k
summary: druig was getting bored of babylon, he was ready to take on more adventures. but the shadows in his mind led him down a path, one he never dared to speak out loud (except for maybe to kingo)
an: another thank you to @stuckonjbbarnes, i wouldn't know what to do without you 🩵
masterlist | part one
1523 AD
It had been almost 200 years since Druig had seen you. Not even a glimpse. He had started to wonder if something had happened to you, if he had somehow fucked up with you too.
Not that he considered what happened at Tenochtitlan a fuck up, but after being alone for two years he started to feel some of the ramifications of his actions.
Alone wasn’t the right word, Druig had been surrounded by the hundreds of people he saved from themselves. Isolated, that’s what he was. He wasn’t quite sure how to handle the situation he created. He stepped in more than he ever had with the humans, but he felt it was best to live in the shadows for a while.
Two years without the Eternals was one thing, the break was truly needed. But two years without you? It certainly wasn’t ideal, not anymore. There were so many things he wanted to know, getting to know more about you was what he was looking forward to the most. Druig had done his best not to create his own narrative about you, which was extremely difficult when he’s only had two conversations with you in the last 2,000 years.
Instead, though, he started to wonder what all he didn’t know. What was being kept from him. Not confronting Ajak took more self control than he knew he had, unfortunately he couldn’t control his irritability. Once all the Deviants were gone he didn’t have it in him to care about anyone else’s grand plan, and he was done listening to someone who wasn’t being honest with him or anyone else.
“Are you going to be in everyone’s head this whole time or should I come back another time?” You stood behind him, a flower crown in hand.
Druig was so out of it he never even noticed you were there.
He turned around and smiled for the first time in what felt like centuries. “Is that for me?”
“I don’t just go around making these for everyone.” Just like the last one, it fit him perfectly. “Did you miss me?”
He grabbed your hands and brought them to his face, needing a way to know you were real. “It felt like I lost my shadow.”
You smirked at him, “A bit dramatic, don’t you think?”
“No.” That’s exactly what it felt like. You were always there, following him everywhere he went. A part of him, but not really. Always slipping through his fingers.. “Dramatic would be blowing in like the wind and disappearing just as easily.”
He let go of you but kept you close, debating to himself if he should enjoy the moment or jump straight to the questions he’s kept to himself all these years.
“So I was thinking, I know you must have about a million questions,” could you read his mind too?, “what’s stopping you from picking my brain yourself?”
He had thought about that a lot after you left the last time and he always came to the same conclusion, “I don’t know you as well as I wish I did, but you’re special to me. I’m not sure I could ever use my powers on you.”
You flashed him a devilish grin, “What if I asked nicely?”
He rolled his eyes, accepting then and there that you were going to be a handful. “Alright, next question. I’m assuming you’re also an Eternal?”
“Yes.”
“What’s your special power? Show me.” He hoped to start out with something fun, not too serious. There was plenty of time to get into that.
You gave him a quick smile before disappearing and reappearing behind him. He turned to face you and you were gone again, sinking into the darkness, making a game out of it.
Druig watched you emerge from several different places before finally realizing how you were doing so. “So I was spot on when calling you a shadow? And you called me dramatic.”
You rolled your eyes as you walked back to him. “Yes, well, I couldn’t just admit you were right so easily could I? That wouldn’t have been fun.”
If he had to narrow down the second he knew he was a goner, it would have been right then. He had no business falling for someone who easily could have been a figment of his imagination. What if it was really Mahd Wy’ry? No, Druig refused to even entertain that idea. He could smell you, touch you, taste you. Theoretically that is. There was no way you weren’t real.
He pulled you closer to him again, intertwining his fingers with yours, and began to walk to the river.  “Not to ruin the mood, but did you find anything out? About why we were separated?”
The look of frustration on your face gave him his answer before you even started to speak. Is that why you were back so soon? Because you hadn’t found anything? Was it just another thing Arishem decided because he could? “I can’t find out without drawing too much attention to myself. But in my search I found another Eternal who has his own agenda but is willing to help me find answers.”
“His?” Druig’s jaw tensed. He’d never been the jealous type, but the thought of someone spending all their time with you while held on to the mere moments he got was unsettling at best.
You couldn’t help but chuckle, “You’re welcome to join us, take on a new adventure.”
“Now’s not the right time.” The thought of leaving with you had crossed his mind a time or two since he last saw you, but he couldn’t just abandon his people now. It didn’t feel right, not yet. “But one day I’d love to travel the galaxy with you. Get lost in the cosmos together.”
Druig thought about that often too, anything that involved spending more time with you. Truth be told he was jealous that he couldn’t remember what his lives were like with you, just another thing Arishem took from him.
By the time the two of you had made it to the river the sun began to set and Druig only had one more question to ask before he moved onto the more personal ones. “How did you find me? It couldn’t have been easy.”
You sat down on a log and pulled Druig down to do the same, to relax and enjoy the sunset. “I have a million memories of us watching the sunset together, none of them are as beautiful as this one.” It wasn’t until the sun had disappeared below the horizon that you answered his question, no matter how cliche the answer was.
“I felt you. Once I left the planet I was assigned to I followed that feeling until I landed here. It took me some time to track you down in Babylon, but not much. I wish I would have told you everything then, it’s not like I have many more answers now than I had before.”
Druig didn’t quite know how to respond to that. On one hand he was upset the way you handled it. The way you came and went for centuries without saying anything, he thought he made everything up at one point. He might not have had answers but at least he’d have you.
On the other hand, he knew you were only doing what you thought was best. It’s not like being separated from someone you were designed for, someone you didn’t know even existed until one random day was a situation that was easily prepared for.
At the end of the day, Druig was just thankful you found him at all. He never let himself wonder what it would be like if you didn’t.
“We have each other now, or at least until you have to leave. Which is..?” As much as he hated it, he knew it was coming.
You pouted and looked down at your feet, not having the heart to look him in the eyes. “I have until morning. We have a lead on where another group of Eternals is, apparently they haven’t heard anything from Arishem in over 5,000 years. Hopefully one of them knows something.”
Instead of dwelling on the few hours he had left with you, Druig brought you back to camp. He wanted to create as many memories he could with you since neither had any idea when you’d be back.
He introduced you to the few people that were still awake, they had a fire going and invited you to hear about how Druig saved them from themselves. While you listened, he went to grab dinner for the two of you.
What he saw when he returned had caught him off guard. Not really what he saw, but more of how it made him feel. The way the fire hit your features just right, the way your laugh filled the air, how easily you seemed to fit in.. it filled Druig with a happiness he never knew before until then.
“You’re absolutely breathtaking, you know that?” He asked after you excused yourself from the group, not giving you time to answer. “Come with me.”
The two of you spent the rest of the night telling each other all there was to know about each other. About how when you started getting your memories back your team was convinced it was Mahd Wy’ry and instead of wiping your memories, they took pity on you and let you leave the planet.
You told him about how you began to resent your powers at one point. Hiding in the shadows was all fun and games until you learned about the dark things the people on your planet did to each other and you could do nothing about it. In return, Druig told you that was also a struggle of his and played a big part in him leaving.
What he didn’t tell you was that it was your last visit that made him really start to doubt Arishem and gave him the strength to start doing what he thought was best for the people of this planet. Or at least a small portion of them.
By the time the sun started to rise Druig was really starting to talk himself into leaving with you, but he didn’t. He had to have some self control when it came to you or else he might accidentally lose himself.
“Hopefully the next time we see each other I’ll have more answers.” You stood in front of him and tried not to cry. So badly you wanted to stay but your search for answers, the time you lost, it had to mean something.
He titled your head to look you in the eyes, both of you lingering on each other's lips a little too long in the process. “As long as you come back to me.”
You started to disappear into the shadows, but Druig wasn’t ready. He had to do one more thing before you left.
“Yn! Wait!” He called out, hoping you’d reappear.
“I’m still here.” You whispered behind him. Desperately trying to keep your tears from rolling down your face.
Druig didn’t say a word, he didn’t have to. He turned around and opened his arms and you quickly jumped into them. Time felt like it slowed down. His hand gently rubbed the small of your back while you wrapped your arms around his neck, neither of you wanting to let go.
You pulled away enough to look at him in the eyes again, getting one last look before you had to go.
“Kiss me.” It was all he needed to say for you to close the gap between you two again, pressing your lips to his.
After what felt like centuries and no time at all, Druig no longer felt you in his arms. You were still in the forest, though, he still felt you there. He stayed in that spot until he knew you were gone, regretting not leaving with you when he had the chance.
2023
“It’s been weeks,” Makkari signed, “we haven’t heard from any of them. It’s like… they’ve disappeared.”
It had been almost just as long since the emergence, since Ikaris tried to kill him. It was selfish of him, he knew it was, but all he could think about was you and where you were. How long it would take to find each other again. His friends, his family, were missing and all he could think about was you.
“Arishem.” Thena said out loud what he had been thinking the whole time. “We have to go back.”
Just as Druig was about to agree with her, again for the most selfish of reasons, he began to feel a familiar pull. It was different from all the other times, it felt wrong. Whatever it was, Thena felt it too. She conjured her weapons and waited. He wanted to suggest she back down but it was Thena, that would never happen.
“I felt it too.” Makarri signed. Druig was less confident it was you then, none of the others have felt you before.
“What?” He didn’t have to act confused, he genuinely was.
Thena and Makkari walked closer to the flickers of light that appeared at the end of the corridor. Druig couldn’t move from where he was sitting, he couldn’t think. He felt the pull become stronger, his senses were blown.
Just then, a small troll was spat out from the light. Druig tried to focus as he mumbled something about drunk teleporting.
“Um..” Thena began, but was rudely interrupted.
“Hang on, hang on.” The troll cleared his throat and began to introduce whoever was stepping through next, “Behond, the royal Prince of Titan…”
“Enough Pip!” Another voice shouted, pushing the man and troll out of the way. “Eros’ ego is big enough and I promise you none of them care.”
Druig jumped from his seat, earning quick and confused looks from both Makkari and Thena.
“Hey, you.” You smirked at him, not knowing what else to say. Not in front of the others.
“You know these people, Druig?” Thena asked, weapons still in her hands.
He never took his eyes off of you, “I don’t know who the fuck the lads are, but this is Yn.” It came out a little more harsh than he meant it, or maybe he did. With everything else that was going on that was the icing on his world ending cake.
Thena and Makarri looked even more confused than they were before. They knew better than to push Druig for answers when he looked as serious as he did.
Eros and Pip stood behind you, they knew exactly who everyone was and what events had unfolded in the weeks prior. It turned out yours and Eros’ interests were more aligned than they had thought.
“So this is who you’ve been traveling with?” Druig thought to you, “A pretty boy and a drunken troll?” He tried his best not to come off jealous but he was doing a terrible job.
“You say that like there’s not two beautiful women behind you that you’ve been traveling with.”
He didn’t have to read your mind to know nothing had ever happened, but to finally see the man who had been helping you… using his powers to tell them to jump out of the Domo felt like the right thing to do.
“So you must be the famous Druig!” Eros went to shake his hand but was ignored. “Yn never shuts up about you.”
He hated to admit it, even to himself, that that statement had put him more at ease. “Talk about me a lot do you?”
“More than you have obviously.”
“Kingo knows. He even made a movie about it.”
That’s when Makkari got in the middle of you two, “Enough with the telepathy! Who are these people? How do you know her?”
Druig explained everything to them. Well, everything he knew. Makkari felt so sorry for you both, though she finally understood why he was the first to lose faith in Arishem.
Thena finally disarmed herself, if Druig said they weren’t threats then she trusted him. She looked to you a moment before asking, “So did you find anything out or were you just checking to see if Druig was alive?”
He watched you carefully, looking for any sign that you had found some answers. If you had then that would mean all of the time away from each other would have been worth it.
“Both actually.” You smiled, almost forgetting why you were even there. “We were on our way to Earth when Eros saw strange activities going on, not long after that I didn’t feel you anymore. I thought the worst. Looking more into it we realized the emergence had started-”
“You knew about the emergence and never said anything?” Druig interrupted.
“Your takeaways are the worst, you know that? I thought you died.” You shot back angrily. “Like I was trying to say.. I found out about it through my research and my memories. It’s why I believe Arishem separated us, we always found out just before they happened and tried stopping them. We came close to succeeding the last time, obviously Arishem didn’t like it then and definitely doesn’t appreciate it now if taking your friends is any indication. Congratulations by the way, I wish I could have been there.”
“You would be proud to know he almost put Tiamut to sleep,” signed Makkari, “until Ikaris tried to kill him.”
Druig winced at the memory, relieved that you weren’t there to see that. He could tell that you were proud of him but also slightly put off about the almost dying part. He stepped closer to you and pulled at your wrist, “I’m sure you two can handle these lads, there’s a few things Yn and I need to discuss in private.”
He pulled you out of the corridor and down a hallway, finally choosing a room that was far enough away from the others.
The last time he saw you was in 1523, you didn’t check in a single time. He wanted to look in your mind for himself to see what all you’ve been up to more than he ever had before, find any reason he could to validate how upset he was.
Druig wasn’t even sure he knew why he was upset. A mix between not seeing you for so long, his regret of not going with you, everything that had to do with the emergence, Eros’ existence. He just really didn’t like that guy.
“I’m so glad you’re alive.” All of those feelings were gone the moment your arms wrapped around him. “I’m sorry it took so long, we ran into a bit of trouble..”
“No, no. Don’t apologize,” he pressed his forehead to yours, “just tell me this is done. Promise me you’ll stay with me this time, no more leaving.”
You pulled back from him, giving yourself a clear view of his face. “You’re stuck with me for all eternity I’m afraid.”
He knew they were on a mission and his friends were quite possibly in more danger than they’ve ever been in before, but all he could think about was leaving it all behind. To find some corner of the universe where you and him could just exist together without another soul around. He deserved a chance to create his own memories with you, you deserved a chance to have your own set of memories from this lifetime. Arishem had taken enough, Druig didn’t want him taking any more.
No matter how badly he wanted to follow through with that plan, running away together, he couldn’t do that to his family. “After we find the others, I think we should find somewhere to call home. A place that doesn’t need protection, that isn’t incubating a Celestial. Just me and you.”
He didn’t know just how ready you were for that reality, how ready you were for it to be just you and him.
You parroted his words back to him, leading him back the way you came. “Just me and you.”
