Cool idea I had: time travel au where teenage Anakin gets send back in time to meet padawan Obi-Wan and his disaster of a Master.
Things go to hell really quickly considering a 16yo Anakin hates severely dislikes his Master while also thinking he is the most amazing thing to walk the earth. ...and Qui-Gon is criticizing his Master for not teaching him emotional control which Anakin does not appreciate. He thought Qui-Gon was cool deathstick smoker, not Council member material. OH! Also - the Council and Anakin bonding. For the fun of it.

Long time no write but here’s some further adventures in Mace Windu unfucking the timeline for @twird96.
Currently obsessed with “has just taken charge of the Chosen One oh dammit” Mace, so for starters: he is thinking of Anakin as “Skywalker” and Anakin is calling him “Master” and there’s definitely, DEFINITELY going to have to be a moment where Mace just, like . . . stops, and Realizes. Specifically realizes that calling the kid “Skywalker” is not great master/padawan relations, for one, and VERY specifically realizes that Anakin calling HIM “Master” is EVEN WORSE. Just . . . dammit. Damn it and damn all the things and WHY DID HE NOT THINK OF THIS IMMEDIATELY, FOR FORCE’S SAKE. WHY.
The conversation where Mace finally explains “no seriously call me Anything But That” is an incredibly awkward/stilted conversation, and this will probably not be helped by the fact that he’s gonna have it the literal SECOND he realizes it’s a problem, never mind what kind of what else might be going on (i.e., training, an argument with Qui-Gon, an active firefight, whatever!). Once Anakin gets the idea in his head he is gonna live and die by it, though. He will call him “Mace”, he will call him “Mom”, he will call him all sorts of random weird shit that makes only the barest threads of sense until he settles down about the whole concept and settles on alternating Mace/Mom. And one day he will be a Jedi Knight in his own right and then he will ABSOLUTELY call Mace “Master” all the ding-dang time just because he can. Mace will not understand this logic but he’ll have hands so whatever. Whatever!!
Also yeah, Mace, just bite the blaster bolt and call him “Ani”. Don’t go all weird and formal with your new padawan, forreal. And of course if MACE is calling him Ani, so is Depa, and Qui-Gon probably never stopped, and Obi-Wan picks it up from Qui-Gon, and yeah by the time we get to the clones it is feared Vaapad master, powerful Jedi, hotshot pilot, and accomplished commander Ani Skywalker. Possibly the clones will not know the name “Anakin” until the first time one of them goes to space Sunday dinner and Shmi just casually drops it over space casserole for whatever random reason, after which point ALL THE CLONES know and also all have to admit that most of them thought “Ani” was a Korun term of endearment but they were still using it anyway.
Speaking of space Sunday dinners, there’s gonna be at least one or twelve of those where Shmi randomly spends the whole weekend cooking and then just shows up with C-3PO and All The Food like “hey Mace I brought the entire 187th dinner” and Mace just sighs and calls out for space ice cream for dessert, because of course he does, this is just his life now, of course this is happening.
Anakin is not going to get to be a knight until after the war because Mace trusts NO ONE letting his padawan go off and be a general without the buddy system going, and Anakin is perfectly happy with this lot in life because being a general would imply a) less time to hang out with Mace and cause temple mayhem together and b) less time to hang out with Ahsoka and cause temple mayhem with HER. Also, probably less Padme-time, which would be a whole other crisis altogether.

yooooo Star Wars ocs?? *grabby hands* share. infodump. how much swag do they have on a scale from 1-10
Pigeon I love you I am kissing you right now (platonically but enthusiastically)
Okay so the main guys that keep occupying my brain are Korcha and her lineage, Reil, Devafe and Lineth. You've seen my drawings of them I think? Korcha's the spider lady, Reil is her first apprentice with the long hair, Devafe her second apprentice, she's the one with the cool art where she's doing lightsaber training, and Lineth is a wet little cat girl (affectionate)
First off, they all have swag by virtue of being Jedi, I don't think you can manage to be under a like 3-4 in swag when you're proficient at using cool laser swords and space magic. That said, among other Jedi, Korcha is swag enough but not exceedingly, maybe a 5 or a 6 depending on who you ask? She's got wild anecdotes, by the Clone Wars era she's in her 70s and you don't get to that point as a Jedi without cool life skills, plus she's pretty good at Jar'kai (using two lightsabers simultaneously), and that's really cool, but she's nerfed by the importance she puts on Rules and The Correct Thing To Do, which makes her a more reasonable person and therefore less likely to do absurd but cool stuff.
Reil is on the list of swagest people in the Temple because by the Clone Wars he's been a crèchemaster for like 15 years and that means a lot of the younger Jedi know him and like him. He's good at his job he's patient and he lets the kids play with paint and that means if there were contests like you see in fics for various title among the Jedi Order he would be in the top contender for Coolest Crèchemaster or something. Like that cool counselor people like, or the teacher everyone wants to have in class. A solid like 8/10 at least
I'm not subjective on Devafe because I project onto her accidentally her vibe is Dooku but to the left, since they've got similar fighting styles and that's linked to who she is as a person, and Makashi simply is The swagest form out of the seven (or like, Vaapad, we love Mace here) So automatically she gets points for that because who doesn't love someone who fights in a focussed, neat and precise, fencing-like style with cool laser swords, even when they prefer reading books? Nobody. She's cool. She doesn't go below a 7 and I'm not being nice here purely because she was a bit of an annoying teenager (like Korcha btw lol, like master like apprentice sometimes)
Lineth is - I want to be nice to her because she deserves it, and she gets a pity point for staying alive the whole war, a feat not all Jedi could accomplish, and certainly not all Padawans. Ahsoka makes it, of course, but Ahsoka is Special and Cooler Than Everyone Else, and Lineth is just there trying not to break down more than once a week. That's still like a 5 though, but it's not her fault she doesn't get to develop fully as a person because there's a war on :( In the alternate world where everything is okay and the war ends she gets more confident and she's swager though don't worry about her
Other SW OCs are Cehim, who makes maps and lives alone in her spaceship and is part of a group of artists and has multiple QPPs and is a bit like a space version of Meredith but different, she's super cool I love her, 9/10 at least; and the clone commanders under Devafe and Korcha & Lineth during the war. Devafe's commander, Jellyfish, picked his name because he likes jellyfish, and that immediately gives him a 8/10 on the swag scale, plus he talks shit with Devafe sometimes and that's extremely fun to me. Korcha & Lineth's commander (or technically captain but he kind of fills the role of commander since Lineth is a baby) is called Stellar and he's wonderful, dare I say he does a stellar job, you get the idea, he was the first (but not the last) to see Lineth and think oh, that's a baby, she needs a friend not someone who'll obey her orders, as opposed to Korcha who during the war wanted competent officers first and then people she could have tea with second, though she very much wanted both, and for that he's also swag, maybe a 7/10. What do you want, all of them except Cehim and Reil fought in a war, that makes you swag just by virtue of The Horrors <3

The Red Right Hand of Palpatine
I’ve rewritten this twice, fuck it, short rundown of the Fallen Jedi Palpatine ‘recruits’ in order to get a powerful enough enforcer.
Their various tenures overlap, and if you’re a fan of the characters in bold, I urge you to proceed with caution. I am a cruel writer, and Sidious is just...cruel.
Callista Ming/Masana-Lady Desponda-Broken in a fighting pit of captured Jedi, where you either died a Jedi or left a Fallen. Retreated into a sense of apathy so intense she now emits a tangible field of hopelessness that causes her foes to lay down and die, basically. Jedi Hunter & General
Eeth Koth-Lord Otac-Was tracked down by the Empire and given an ultimatum: Serve the Empire and DO NOT FAIL, and your family (father in law, wife, daughter) will be left unaccosted. Refuse, run, fight, fail too many times, or die, your family will be killed without hesitation. The end cocktail of volatile emotions produces an absolutely dogged servant. Primarily a military leader and strategist.
Empatojayos Brand-Lord Torca-Captured after Order 66, manipulated and literally medical malpracticed into a force sensitive General Grievous. The main Vader Hunter, between his computer enhance lightsaber skills and natural piloting skills.
Sora Bulq-Lord Murted-Fell before the Purge, retrieved from the Temple’s cells and placed in another fighting pit. Relatively more stable and resigned than his fellows. This, alongside his mastery of Vaapad, leaves him as the “greatest” of Sidious’ longstanding apprentices.
Galen Marek-Starkiller-Son of two Jedi who left the Order to get married, “recruited” by Lord Murted in a raid that killed his parents. Incredibly powerful in the Force, he technically exists as Murted’s personal agent in the Inquisition. Being groomed to kill Vader. Despite his upbrining, he harbours a serious conscience
Lumiya-Shira Elan Colla Brie-Former Emperor’s Hand who proved powerful enough to receive further training following a confrontation with Luke Skywalker, and replace the ever growing “absence” of Apprentices.

Kinda wanna write a oneshot fix-it where Anakin is taken on as a student of vaapad by Windu?? This would happen after Sheev gets killed somehow during the clone wars lol
I would like Windu to recognize the darkness in Anakin as something he can learn to control and wield to his advantage. Plus I def wanna have the disaster lineage and shatterpoint lineage overlap, Anakin and Windu going on missions together so he can be trained would be so cool to explore !! Also Depa would def tag along every now and then and would take the role of a cool older sibling for Skyguy :) not to mention I’d love to see Ahsoka and Caleb hang out and get into all sorts of hijinx

Mandalorian Darksaber Theory
So we know that the Darksaber was made by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian Jedi, and a Jedi from the Old Republic. Now this theory would mix a bit of (sigh) Legends continuity with the modern canon, but I think it would go a ways to explaining how and why the Darksaber is so unique and distinctive.
1.) The old republic was in a very unstable time period with several large spanning conflicts: the great Hyperspace Wars, the Mandalorian wars, and the Sith Wars to name a few. The Jedi were also a bit more combative, pre-Ruusan Reformation. This included the role of Jedi Lords, Jedi who would directly rule and protect star systems like Lord Hoth.
2.) As seen in the Mandalorian, clan and family are central parts of Mandalorian culture. The Jedi would never have been allowed to take a baby Mandalorian and completely sever them from their culture, and seeing how Tarre later on returned to claim the title of Mand'alor, it's clear that they didn't. This might go to show that Tarre was either a much older child or even a young adult before he underwent training at the Temple. This would not have been unheard of Pre-Ruusan.
3.) As someone who undertook training at a much older than recommended age, and who came from a culture that prized conquest and glory, Tarre probably struggled with temptation from the dark side. But due to the discipline learned as both a Mandalorian warrior, and a Jedi, he was able to control it. There is precedent of this with great Jedi, namely Revan and Mace Windu.
4.) Revan and Mace Windu both danced on the line of the dark side, with Revan spending time as a Jedi, then a Sith, then a Jedi again. Windu focused his inner struggle into the Form 7 variant Vaapad to channel his dark side feelings. Notably, both of these Jedi had Purple lightsabers.
5.) In the old canon, lightsaber color was tied to roles as a Jedi: Blue for Jedi Guardian, Green for Jedi Consular, and Yellow for Jedi Sentinel. The guardians were mostly warriors and lightsaber combat specialists. Consulars focused on the aspects of the Force itself in all of its forms. Sentinels spent most of their time with the average citizens and utilized practical skills to perform investigations and hunt down the dark side.
6.) "So what about the color purple?" Purple would be a mix of the Guardian Blue and the Sith Red. This would define both Revan and Mace Windu and Jedi Guardians.
7.) "So get to the point, why is the Darksaber Black?" Because Tarre Vizsla was a Jedi Consular who channeled the dark side while staying in the light. Green + Red = Black. While skill wise, Tarre would have been a natural Guardian or Sentinel, the fact that he was already drawn to the dark would have disqualified him as a Sentinel as a risk of completely falling to it. So why not a Guardian? Because in base skill alone, Mandalorians are Jedi killers. Vibroblades were common equipment along side blasters, so sword skills would have been of little interest to someone immersed in them since childhood. But what would have interested him? The intricacies of the Force. This would not have been something his Mandalorian training could teach him, but by throwing himself fully into studying and mastering its abilities, he would have become not only one of the most accomplished lightsaber duelists of his era, but a Mandalorian of unmatched power. His history with Vibroblades would also explain the shape of the hilt and guard.
8.) Considering the times, and the wars against the Sith, a group hated by both the Jedi and the Mandalorians, Tarre would have likely in his career as a Knight and possibly a Master returned home, and in order to rally and organize his people, claimed the title of Mand'alor, and ruled the system as a Jedi Lord. While this might have been frowned upon by the Jedi High Council, it would not so much be a problem with the Jedi Grand Council led by the likes of Lord Hoth. It would also go a ways to explain why Clan Vizsla would raid the Jedi Temple to reclaim the Darksaber after Vizsla's death. Not only was it a personal effect of a clan member, and the leader of his people, it was an insult for the Jedi High Council to possess, and share in the glory of the man they would look down on as seeking to hold power.

Mace Windu world between worlds AU where Ezra saves his great grandmaster from falling and Mace is suddenly thrust into a world where the entire order has been dead for years but there is Ezra who is still so bright and good even through hardship and also Ezra deserves vaapad
this is such a galaxy brain concept. imagine mace shows up in the middle of the siege of lothal. sadly kanan is already dead but mace takes one (1) look at ezra and decides My Padawan Now. don't worry kid grandpa windu is on the motherfucking case. ezra doesn't have to yeet himself into the unknown regions because mace takes them together to thrawn and kicks his blue ass. they take thrawn hostage and after being defeated by a teenager and a time traveling jedi master he's like "clearly this is too fucked up" and tells them about the death star and anakin being vader. mace is still debating if spacing thrawn is worth it. and of course skywalker's unstable ass went sith, mace TOLD THEM he was dangerous the second that punk showed up but NoooOoo they had to respect qui gon's last wishes. now they're all dead. and he's missing a motherfucking hand.
he teaches ezra vapaad and how to balance his darkness, and he's SO PROUD of his connection to living creatures. honestly if they had this kid back during the zillo beast incident maybe a lot of things would have gone differently. ezra is very sad about kanan but in constant awe of how competent his great grandmaster and now master is. like Holy Shit his lineage is awesome.
after they save lothal and rejoin the main rebellion mace finds out about kenobi from bail organa and flies to tatooine to kick his ginger depressed ass. kenobi you absolute IDIOT can you Please Make Sure the sith lords you battle are actually dead when you LEAVE???? obi wan cries for an entire day after mace tears him a new one. oh and SURPRISE skywalker had a kid, worse VADER has a kid, but luke is way too much of a sunshine to pose a real threat of falling so mace decides My Padawan Now. yes kenobi you heard me sit your ass back down. no i don't care about the only one padawan rule there's about 5 jedi left in the galaxy thanks to your padawan and i'm the grandmaster of the order now so the rules are whatever the hell i decide they are. what do you MEAN yoda is still alive??????
cut to mace flying to dagobah with his new two padawans luke and ezra –who are getting along a little too well– to kick yoda's green ass and drag him out of exile. yes you crazy ancient frog we're leaving this place and organizing how to fuck palpatine up. i don't care if you're old and decrepit we're dragging you out of here.
at some point yoda decides if mace gets two padawans he doesn't want to be left out and starts training leia. now imagine the sheer power of padawans ezra luke and leia during the rebellion era. also mace makes sure to tell luke the fucking truth because he's not lying to his fucking padawan, that's how you get them to resent you and murder the entire order, kenobi. so when vader captures luke or leia and wants to have his dramatic reveal of i am your father they're like we know bitch also look behind you and mace is there ready to cut off vader's hand, fuck you skywalker an eye for an eye.
they capture vader and mace is like you better start paying child support you fucker or we're unplugging your ass. vader is very ashamed. leia effectively kicks his ass. luke is just happy to have a dad.
in the end mace, yoda, obi wan and vader take down palpatine because the kids are still kids and we're not sending them to fight the creepy old bastard. the end.

Mace Windu Appreciation Week for the prompt: Vaapad and Shatterpoint. Fun fact I had no idea how to spell vaapad xD
Here on ao3
Mace moves the lightsaber in a familiar pattern, the kata’s he has created coming forth in his memories easily. The purple blade lights him up, giving his face and his clothes a purple hue. The colour is not the most special thing. Purple blades, indeed blades of any colour have been wielded, even the long-ago stolen darksaber with its unique colouring is not exactly novel. A result of an interesting crystal-Jedi pairing combined with the technology of the time resulted in the now unique colouring and sound. Mace’s blade being purple is not the most special thing. Jedi have wielded purple before. The kata’s though, those are special. Cyslin had called it a result of his ‘overeager imagination’ paired with his ‘dissatisfaction with the traditional forms.’ Perhaps she is right, she often is.
He swings the blade down in an aggressive strike before stepping back and twisting into a more defensive position. The form itself is neither focused on defence or attack, as it changes with almost every user. It is simply a way of focusing, of redirecting something not wrong or unhealthy, but sometimes unwanted, into something helpful. It is not limited to fighting, in this sense, but it also spans into everyday life.
The door swishes open, and Mace sees a robed figure in the corner of his eyes. “You’re late.” Obi-Wan sighs, undoing the brown cloak and neatly folding it onto the benches. Mace stops for a moment, taking a small breather.
“I know.” The contrite expression turns to him. “I am sorry, I had to help Anakin with his… never mind. It was a battle, to say the least.” The not exactly anger, but almost anger sparkles around him, crackling slightly in the Force with an unpleasant feeling. Obi-Wan jumps into some warm-ups, stretching his back and muscles when he’s done. Mace joins him. He calls the lightsaber to his hand, a bottle of water close behind. He takes a sip, offering some to Mace. Mace turns it down. He knows that if he drinks too much, he will end up vomiting at some point during or soon after the spar.
“Ready?” Mace asks, settling into the familiar starting stance, the hilt held loosely to his side. It is not confidence or arrogance in his pose, it is simply a man who is aware of himself and, to a degree, of his opponent as well as their respective skills. With the frequent sparring and their growing friendship, Mace would like to think that he knows Obi-Wan’s skills decently enough.
Obi-Wan smirks. He is not arrogant either, though there is a spark of confidence in his eyes. He knows, perhaps he won’t win, but he might, and he might as well have fun along the way. “Of course.” His blade springs, a bright blue hue, similar to the old crystal he had lost on Naboo. It lights up his face with a blue shade. The blade swings, humming as Obi-Wan shows off some ornamental twists before settling into his typical two-fingered soresu stance. His feet are on the floor, ready to move should the need arise, but also ready to stand firm. “I think it better to ask you if you are ready to lose, Mace.” The confidence is there, though Mace is unsure exactly how much is real and how much is part of the odd facade the man puts up during spars and fights. It is aggravating sometimes, but amusing most of the time. He can easily see how an opponent might get frustrated with the strange behaviour.
Mace snorts unimpressed at Obi-Wan's unnecessary twirls as well as his words, “We shall see who loses this match.” He thumbs on his blade, his lightsaber’s low hum joining Obi-Wan’s. “Wouldn’t want to get too cocky, would you?” He questions teasingly, a familiar smirk settling onto his face.
Obi-Wan does not exactly laugh, but he might as well. The humour and delight sparks around him in the Force, soothing the jagged edges of frustration. “I’m not cocky, simply aware.” And with that, they clash. Mace rushes forwards, as he often does, keen on finishing the job right after it has begun. He also knows Obi-wan, with his form of soresu, won’t move to start the spar. The blue and purple clash with a sharp familiar noise. The crystals sing, a joyous song at the happiness and delight sparkling around them. It has been too long since they have sparred. There is a quick flick of the wrist, his blade falling away from the clash to counter Obi-Wan’s short jab at him. The jab turns defensive as Mace goes for a sweep.
“Getting ahead of ourselves, Knight Kenobi? I did not take you for offensive measures.” Mace flips back, the blade coming around to take a jab that is deftly pushed to the side. Obi-Wan’s hands are somewhere above him. Any swings from the side are quickly blocked by quick flicks of the wrist. Indeed, Obi-Wan has become a Master of soresu as was his goal. Mace steps back for a moment after a few fruitless clashes. He takes a deep breath and really falls into the familiar feeling of vaapad.
Nothing much negative exists to fuel his fight, but he would be idiotic to not be able to fuel his fight with positivity too. He channels the happiness at this spar into the fight, hoping to prolong the fight to reach a nice satisfying end. Obi-Wan’s eyes narrow, his long hair slicked slightly with sweat. He knows what Mace is doing and, before Mace goes any further, Obi-Wan is jumping forwards with a bold attack, more like his older ataru style. It is a high jump paired with a downwards slash, truly a clean show of acrobatics and stead practice in ataru. It, however, is easily blocked. Mace has sensed it before, has seen the move not exactly telegraphed by Obi-Wan’s body, but due to Mace’s friendship with Obi-Wan, visible from the bright blue eyes.
Mace blocks and moves to the side simultaneously, humming as he wants to go up to the platforms suspended from the ceiling. He takes a lead up, effectively blocking the strikes aimed at his legs as Obi-Wan jumps up, jostling the thin platform as he lands. They trade blows, shifting back and forth in quick small steps. They trade barbs too, harmless ones filled with subtle joking and humour. Obi-Wan allows Mace to dictate the fight, and so he follows the man when he moves backwards onto a larger, more stable platform. “Scared of losing your balance, old man?”
Mace responds with nothing, narrowing his eyes. Talking during a fight, when not necessary like now, is not exactly something Mace loves. He aims a blow, packing a punch behind him that Obi-Wan struggles slightly to block. Obi-Wan takes steps back, pushed backwards until his feet tip at the edge. Looking backwards for a second, Obi-Wan takes a breath and pulls himself away, landing lightly on another platform, thin too and similarly jostling as Mace lands, not far from Obi-Wan. “Running away, are we?” He teases, pairing it with a heavy blow.
“No. ‘Course not.” Obi-Wan gasps a bit, the hair turning a rather dark brown. Obi-Wan has supreme balance, as all Jedi do. There is a familiar hum as they draw on the Force to keep on the thin platform. They trade blows moving forwards and backwards. Soresu suits Obi-Wan, his blade easily blocking the heavy blows that rain. It would seem effortless if not for the evident fatigue on his face. Mace has had decades of training and perfecting his art form. Obi-Wan, not so much. His opponent has not spent enough time mastering his form, and it shows in the occasional slips to ataru. He’s not entirely… comfortable in this new form. Mace spots the final tell, a small slip that leaves him open. He takes advantage of it, rushing forwards and disarming the man with a quick flick of his blade. There is a stop, their heavy breathing filling the air around them while Mace falls down from the slight high that comes from the joyful fight with his friend. Redirecting the joy, it leaves him somewhat euphoric. It is not something he has a problem with during a real fight.
“You’re getting better,” Mace says, thumbing off his blade, the purple light disappearing. While the blade was not at full intensity, it was still unnerving to have one close to one's neck. Obi-wan wilts, breathing heavily. “You’re still not fully comfortable though.” He notes.
Obi-Wan nods, a little bit of annoyance at himself evident in the furrow of his brow. “I know. I’m just… used to ataru.” He takes in a deep breath, calming down his racing heart. Mace clips the sabre to his belt, smoothing out some of the wrinkles on the looser tunics he wears to spar. “Thank you, Master,” Obi-Wan murmurs, bowing in thanks. Mace looks at him, blinking in slight surprise. While he is a Jedi Master, it is novel that Obi-Wan refers to him in this more personal manner. It is significant, judging by the way Obi-Wan’s eyes search his, looking for the response.
“It is my pleasure, Obi-Wan” Mace responds with a soft smile. Obi-Wan had wormed his way into Mace’s heart as a youngling once, then again as the student of his friend, and now as an equal. Obi-Wan smiles, his presence tangling with Mace’s, a happiness pulsing through the air. Something shifts and another shatterpoint forms at the cracks of another, hovering between them. He grunts a bit, hand reaching up to pinch the bridge of his nose. Obi-Wan’s joyful face falls to confusion and worry. He steps forwards, a bit closer, his hands reaching out to rest on Mace’s.
“Are you alright?” Mace nods tiredly in response. He’s used to it. It has been part of him his entire life. That doesn’t mean the ability is a pain to have on certain occasions. “Is it… another one?” Obi-Wan asks. He doesn’t fully understand Mace’s ability; it is hard to explain to someone who does not have the ability. Both able to see the cracks on physical objects, like the weakness within a transparisteel glass, but also sense the cracks bending towards important events. Anakin, Obi-Wan's padawan has many such cracks pulsing powerfully through the Force. The crack between them, a promise of something important sits like a ticking time bomb between them. Mace does not know if it is a bad thing or a positive one. He hopes the latter, for both his sake and Obi-Wan’s.
“Yes,” Mace responds, sighing deeply as the pain of a new crack forming falls away.
Obi-Wan looks down nervously, hands fiddling in front of him. Usually, the long robe would hide it, but without the robe, the fiddling is evidence. “I’m sorry, Mace.”
Mace shakes his head, “It is not your fault, my friend.” He reaches out and lays his hands on Obi-Wan's fiddling hands, stilling the nervous movements. They stand for a moment, calmly breathing. “Come on, my friend, I find myself in search of tea.”
The ginger perks up, “I got a new sample of Felucian tea. I think you’ll like it.” Obi-Wan chatter excitedly, wiping at his face with a towel and pulling his lightsaber to himself and clipping it at his belt. “I don’t recall the name of the flower in it, but it’s named sweet tea. I haven’t tried it yet; I wanted to share a pot with you. It smelled heavenly though.” Mace listens, bemused, to the chatter about tea. “That is if you want to share a pot?”
“Of course I would.” Mace nodded, folding his outer robe over his arm, and following Obi-Wan out the hall.

🖊 🖊🖊🖊🖊🖊 + Aminata & Adelaide ! 🥂🤟
oc questions Aminata:
As Anakin is known as “The Hero with No Fear”, Obi-Wan as “The Negotiator”, Aminata is known as “The Shield”. This occurred very early in the Clone Wars, where she saved an entire platoon with a massive Force barrier. This platoon was transferred to her command because they were so impressed with her abilities.
Trains in Form VII, the Vaapad style. Windu didn’t want to teach the form to her at first, but he sensed she carried too much temper and negative emotions, so he decided to help her conquer them and use them for good.
You’d think that, born in a diplomat family and trained as one Aminata would know how to politely talk to people. She doesn’t, usually. There were so many times when she’d insult her enemies with vulgar words. The Padawans and clones know her as “The Insult Queen”. Subsequently, her enemies call her a “white haired freak”.
After a successful mission, especially if casualties are at minimum and the victory was hard-earned, the Shield team likes to pick up their General and throw her into the air, hooting and hollering. It’s an endearing sight.
Mina cannot stand Palpatine. She distrusts most politicians in general, but he particularly gives off a bad vibe for her. She got numerous red flags from her interactions with him, but for some reason, she would brush it aside.
After the incident with Rako Hardeen, when her, Anakin, and Ahsoka thought Kenobes was dead, she got his named tattooed in Arreyelan near her heart. It symbolizes that a person has found their soulmate, their chosen one.
Extra: Aminata has a very tight bond with her best friend, Seline F’arah. When Seline fell to the Dark Side and became Maul’s apprentice, Aminata suffered both mentally and physically. Seline eventually was the one to kill her 10 years after the war ended. (Seline belongs to a dear friend!)
Adelaide:
Has 2 siblings – an older brother and a younger sister. Both of them are married and have kids. Curiously, Adelaide remains tight-lipped about her love life and topics like such. She thinks such life is not meant for the likes of her.
On the same subject, she has a soft spot for Bell. For example, Bell is the junior comedian of the team. No matter how bad their jokes get, she always laughs at them. But also one time, Bell asked her, “You must have so many stories to tell, being older than most of us and whatnot.” Were it someone else, she might’ve punched them. But now her jaw just hung open. “Bell, how old do you think I am?” “Lazar told me you were in your 40s at the least… Almost close to Mason and Woods by age.” “Bell. I turned 35 this January.” The team was in stitches.
She isn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty on the field. Literally. Lazar saw her once kill someone with a sledgehammer. He started to fear her that day.
Dela can both skate and ice skate. Back in London, Park would notice a pair of skates near Dela’s desk. When asked, she’d reply with “I love skating away from people’s bullshit.”
Helen and Adelaide are like two siblings. They love to shade each other A LOT. When talking to Bell about Adler, Park tells them to give him a wide berth. Adelaide was quick to throw a “Do you want me to tell Lazar about your first assignment under my wing, or are you gonna go back to work?”
Why is Adelaide named Adelaide? Well, because her parents always thought the city of Adelaide looks like a paradise and Dela to them is their little paradise.

Pairing: Toddler! Ahsoka & Mace Windu
Genre: Fluff
Words: 3368
Summary: Ahsoka dashes from the wall and runs at full speed, throwing a toothy grin at him. She grips his lightsaber in her hand and zaps away. Well, if that’s the game, Mace will play. He can be a damn good hunter after all.
Or: Ahsoka tricks Mace into acknowledging his emotions and having fun for the first time in forever.
Ahsoka scares Shaak. Seriously. Togrutas are born hunters— they have to be since the akul rule their homeworld—but she’s never met one as terrifying as Ahsoka Tano. Force, when she was an Initiate herself, all those years ago, Shaak had the demeanor of a predator too. She’d stalk around teachers, tear into meat, jump at small creatures and fight at large ones. But at least she didn’t have the absolutely insane urge to chase High Council members for fun.
Everyone thought that Ahsoka would always be Plo’s little one. She followed him everywhere, and he let her. When not napping on top of him, Ahsoka could be found wrapped around the edges of his robes or clinging to his chest. Things changed when, on a regular, unassuming day, Ahsoka ran into Adi Gallia’s legs and didn’t let go. Adi had tried walking away, telling the little girl that she had important Jedi Master stuff to do, but Ahsoka was relentless. Adi even tried handing her off to Plo who attempted to sway his foundling back to him (a useless endeavor). It took a long game of hide and seek to pry Ahsoka off of Adi and back into Plo’s arms.
The next week, it was Yaddle. They had quite a nice time around the Temple, and Yaddle even invited other younglings to join. They didn’t play much; Yaddle taught Ahsoka a few acrobatic moves instead (which Ahsoka later employed upon an unsuspecting Oppo Rancisis).
Eeth Koth served as the next victim of Ahsoka’s gaze, and she had forced him into a game of pretend. He was the princess and even had a paper crown while she served as the knight, a practice saber clipped to her side. The “dragon” had been Ahsoka’s stuffed akul. Instead of stabbing her stuffy with the saber, Ahsoka made peace with it and successfully rescued Eeth from his bindings. To this day, no one knows how a youngling tied and restrained a Jedi Master with bedsheets, and Eeth doesn’t like talking about it. After that encounter, Ahsoka stuck to Plo when she had the chance. The Council thought she got tired and preferred her founder’s presence once again. It was a welcome reprieve (namely for Eeth and Oppo).
Until, out of nowhere, Ahsoka declared that she wanted to play with Master Windu. That caused quite the ruckus in the chamber. Some, like Plo and Yaddle, advocated for it. They said it would create more trust and connection between Masters and Initiates. Others like Eeth declared that Ahsoka was a menace but a cute one and should be experienced at least once. The last group consisted of those who decided that Ahsoka should be stopped from causing even more disorder, but they didn’t want to spend resources on that endeavor.
Which leads to now. Shaak stands next to Ahsoka who tugs at Plo’s taloned fingers. She admits that Ahsoka is quite cute but everyone knows to never underestimate her.
“Master Windu is here. I know it!” Ahsoka beams, and Shaak smiles at her. Force, she is adorable . Big eyes, stubby montrals, grinning lips. As a member of the same species, she’s filled with a surge of maternal warmth. Shaak always wondered why Ahsoka never clung to her then realized that Ahsoka “attacks” members she wasn’t familiar with. After spending a lot of time with her and Plo, Ahsoka probably filed Shaak as a member she knew well, a thought that makes Shaak particularly happy.
“I don’t feel him here, little ‘Soka. Why don’t we try the next floor?” Plo says, guiding his foundling with a gentle hand. Shaak loves watching after Ahsoka and other younglings, but in some instances, she needs to curb the girl from causing damage.
“Don’t you have homework, Ahsoka? Master Koon and I can take you back to the crèche,” Shaak says with a smile, but Ahsoka blinks slowly at her.
“No homework,” she says, pouts. She tugs harder on Plo’s hand, “He’s here! I can feel him.” Shaak shares a look with Plo who turns the other way. If two Jedi Masters can’t feel Mace, how could Ahsoka?
“Master Ti is right. Even if you don’t have homework, we can do other things. How does hide and seek sound?” Ahsoka frowns.
“Yes, Ahsoka. The three of us can play hide and seek like Master Plo said. Is that good?”
“I wanna play with Master Windu,” she says and stomps her foot on the ground. Oh dear. It’s tantrum time. Shaak opens her mouth but Plo speaks first.
“We’ll look around this floor then leave. Okay?” Shaak glares at Plo whose Force presence radiates cheekiness. Shaak feels slightly betrayed.
“Yay!”
Mace isn’t hiding. He isn’t . Why would he— Jedi Master, Vaapad creator, and the Order’s champion— hide? Nothing on Coruscant could scare him enough to make him hide. Not even massive, terrifying beasts or ancient Sith ghosts strike fear through him. If he were to see an enemy, he’d take them down immediately, seeing the shatterpoints and taking advantage of weakness. He is Mace Windu , for Force sakes and-
Well. The point is that Mace isn’t hiding because there’s nothing to hide from, and he’s better than that anyway. Mace simply wants to sit in a little corner of the Temple, content to be alone. Yes, he prefers peace and quiet over the long, boring Council meetings (which, as the Master, he probably shouldn’t say but kriff it). His little corner is tucked away in a mostly unused hallway. In the middle of the day like this, most Initiates attend classes, Padawans train with their Masters, and Knights rest or prepare for missions. Only the occasional Temple Guard plows through. Mace has enough control with the Force to conceal his signature and not bring suspicion to his… unusual relaxation spot.
He closes his eyes and controls his breathing. The corner is a far cry from his own quarters (which aren’t that comfortable anyway), but it’s a moment of isolation at least. For each feeling and thought at the forefront of his mind, he assesses them then lets go. Some feelings are easy to drop. The slight flare of annoyance at the lack of special pastries in the mess hall flies away without hesitation. Others, like his frustration at today’s meeting, are harder to release. Kriff, why did Qui-Gon and his Padawan have to overthrow a monarchy? Sure, they got the mission done but seriously? Mace doesn’t know whether to be angry at his friend or the Council or himself.
Regardless, Mace pushes all feelings away, and his mind clears. It’s comforting to have an empty head, a place where his thoughts are just that. Thoughts. Nothing real happens in one’s thoughts except for self reflection and, in Mace’s head, shatterpoints.
All the shatterpoints he sees are simple possibilities, what-if scenarios that may never come to fruition. It’s difficult sometimes to see people as who they are , and not what they can do. After decades with the ability, he still struggles with separating the two. It’s especially harder when a growing darkness looms over Coruscant. The Force is cloudier than he’s ever felt it. Maybe that’s why he has such a cranky demeanor. Or maybe his peers are just too damn annoying, and sarcasm is his only coping mechanism. Well. Whatever. With those thoughts, he releases them into the Force and continues breathing.
Mace hears footsteps, ceasing his meditation. He reaches out and curses at what he finds. There, glowing in the Force, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti, and Ahsoka Tano walk towards him. He opens his eyes, scanning the area in search of an escape route. Well, not an escape route, just… an alternate pathway for him to continue his search for peace. After looking around, he slumps in his position. He, with a great amount of ignorance, trapped himself into his corner. How wonderful. Mace tries again, almost with an air of desperation as the sound of footsteps increases in volume, but there’s nothing. There’s no way out of his little corner without revealing himself which is the main pur- one of the main purposes he sought the corner for.
The footsteps stop a few feet away from Mace, and he curls impossibly tighter. Kriff. At this distance, he can hear everything the trio says.
“Right here! It's glowy and stuff.”
“There’s no one here, little ‘Soka. It’s an empty hallway.”
“Master Plo is right. We should hurry and get some food from the mess.”
“But-”
“Trouble, there is? Frustrated are you?” Yoda’s voice inserts into the conversation, and Mace sighs. Hopefully Yoda will spare him and allow Mace to leave in peace.
“Master Yoda! Where’s Master Windu? It’s play time.” Mace can hear her pout the last sentence.
“Hmmm, yes. Talented Jedi, Mace is. Good at hiding. Here, you will not find him.” Mace breathes out. Thank the Force for Master Yoda, the ever wise and forgiving Grandmaster. He feels Ahsoka’s presence plummet into disappointment and frowns.
“A few feet away, however, he hides. In a corner, he is.” Wait, what?! No, no, Yoda did not just-
“Master Windu?” Ahsoka Tano’s big eyes stare at him and his coiled body and tilts her head to the side. He sees the pure shock on Shaak’s face and the unwavering rolls of smugness from Plo. Mace composes himself.
“Greetings, Initiate Tano. I’m simply meditating.” Ahsoka nods but her eyes are trained on Mace’s side. What- oh. His lightsaber. Her hand reaches out, and Plo moves to place a hand on her shoulder, stopping her sticky hands from nearing Mace.
“Master Ti, Master Koon, come with me, you must. Many things to do, there are. Will of the Force, this is,” Yoda says then cackles. Mace restrains himself from showing visible signs of anger. Shaak breaks away first, shooting Ahsoka a small smile before leaving. Plo glances at his foundling and speaks up.
“I told you she’ll want to play with you. I’ll see you later, little ‘Soka.” She beams at him then turns her full attention to Mace once Plo leaves.
“So.”
“Hi, Master Windu! Can I see your saber? Pretty, please?” Mace sighs and brings his lightsaber out. The sooner she’s satisfied, the faster he can have some peace. He ignites it, the purple sheen illuminating her eager face. She admires it with little coos then pouts when Mace turns it off. That should be enough entertainment.
He stands up from his position, Ahsoka still watching. “Well, Initiate. You saw the lightsaber. Run along now,” he orders, shooing her away with a hand. She nods, still frowning, but her eyes make Mace pause. There’s a brief flash of something predatory, something hungry. He brushes it away. She’s just a kid, after all.
Mace turns around, eager to return to his duties. The little pitter-patter of skips ring from the opposite side of the hallway, and he sighs, relieved. The last time he had to contend with her had been nothing short of a nightmare. Mace swears he’ll never let a youngling take a nap on him again. Just as Mace reaches the end of the corridor, he feels around his belt to adjust his lightsaber.
Except there’s nothing but air. His fingers graze an empty belt. No familiar metallic hilt, no gentle humming from his crystal. He fumbles around, almost frantically, but his lightsaber really isn't there. Which means…
“Ahsoka Tano,” he mutters. Mace turns around to find an empty hallway, no sign of the pesky thief. He curses under his breath and hurries his pace. There aren’t many places she could hide, and when he reaches into the Force, there’s nothing there. Kriff. How can she hide her signature completely? Mace knows she has a lot of potential with the Force but this? Performing an advanced Force technique as a youngling?
He breaks into an almost-sprint and feels the eyes of passersby stray to him. At least the Temple guards have masks. After a few more minutes of searching, there’s still no visible sign. No inkling at all about Ahsoka’s whereabouts. Already, he mourns for his lightsaber. He’ll get it back regardless, but who knows what damage a crazed youngling could do to his precious weapon?
He feels a small nudge in the Force and chases after it. Mace controls his steps then— like a whisper in the wind— he hears a muffled giggle. Mace stops, straining his ears. The giggles remain, and he follows it to a small alcove in the wall. As he nears, he can feel the gentle, comforting presence of his crystal. Almost there…
Ahsoka dashes from the wall and runs at full speed, throwing a toothy grin at him. She grips his lightsaber in her hand, and zaps away. Well, if that’s the game, Mace will play. He can be a damn good hunter after all.
He sprints after her, arms pumping at his sides. He’s faster than her, but she’s much too agile and flexible for him. She dashes between random people, jumps over stairs, slides under benches. It would be too much for anyone else, but Mace is not some random Jedi. No, he’s the Master of the whole Order. A Togruta child is no match for him.
Ahsoka leads him into a public, outdoor area, scores of Jedi milling about enjoying their day. Most stop to see the commotion then freeze at the sight. Mace pays them no mind. Ahsoka darts in between stray obstacles, and Mace admires her strategic chase. She’s clearly using her strengths to her advantage, utilizing the Force to quicken her reflexes and distracting him. Ahsoka even howls in glee and taunts him, sticking a tongue out at one point. Of course, he can see her vulnerabilities and weak spots; his shatterpoint ability shows him all. A gentle Force push, and she’d trip with enough momentum to release his lightsaber. There are multiple ways to get it back. As Mace mulls over his next decision, Ahsoka runs.
Mace lets her. If he were to go full speed, she would be no match for him. He sweats, not because he’s tired, but because the sun is out. Besides, the exercise is enjoyable, possibly even fun. He hasn’t run like this in a long time. Mace spies Ki-Adi Mundi up ahead and slows a bit. “Stop her, Mundi,” he barks. “She has my saber.”
Ki-Adi looks at him with pity and shakes his head. He hears Ahsoka giggle. “Sorry, Master Windu. There’s nothing I can do.” Next to Ki-Adi, Saesee chuckles. Amazng. Mace loves his loyal Council members.
No matter, Mace continues his chase. Ahsoka leads him back into a mostly empty hallway. Her steps slow, and her breathing grows heavier. Mace admits that he’s a tad more tired than before. Without warning, she halts, and Mace almost careens into her.
She turns, grinning, and hands him his lightsaber without hesitation. He takes it and doesn’t know whether to scold her or walk away and spare himself more interaction with the girl. Before he can decide, Ahsoka hugs his legs.
“Thanks, Master Windu,” she says, her voice muffled against his robes.
“What-”
“For playing tag. I love tag! You’re good. Like Master Plo.” Mace shoves the image of Plo running away from Ahsoka out of his mind and thinks instead about the situation. They were playing tag . Stealing his lightsaber was a ruse, a manipulation technique. He feels tricked. Deceived. A pawn in Ahsoka Tano’s game. The idea is jarring, and he’ll never admit it. So he sucks it up and regains his composure.
“Yes, I’m very good at tag. I was the best in my clan,” he says then pauses. He didn’t lie, but it’s been quite a while since he thought about his clan mates. Mace always beat Qui-Gon in races (the other was more content to sit in the dirt), and his only real competition had been Eeth, and the man was a Zabrak for Force sake. His childhood feels so far away now, a distant memory.
“Really? That’s cool,” Ahsoka says, breaking away. She holds her arms up in a universal sign of “hug” but Mace knows the truth; he’s seen Plo do this many times before. Sighing, he picks the girl up in his arms, and she curls into his chest. The top of one of her montrals almost stabs his eye, and he stomps down a flare of annoyance.
“Tired,” she says, snuggling deeper into the embrace. Mace rolls his eyes, and begins walking towards the crèche. He can see her in the Force now, and reaches out. Mace senses a calming tiredness and an overwhelming amount of satisfaction. Well.
“Next time, don’t steal my lightsaber,” he scolds with the same voice he uses to scare Knights. While they cower, she simply hums.
“Next time? More tag?” She asks, pulling back from his chest and looking up. Mace didn’t intend to insinuate another game of tag, but she looks so damn hopeful that he sighs.
“If I’m not busy, then we can maybe play tag again. Is that clear, Initiate Tano?” She nods with a toothy grin. Mace can’t deny that she’s adorable. Adorably scary. Ahsoka doesn’t say anything more, content to cuddle against Mace. He hasn’t hugged someone like this in a long time.
Mace thinks of Depa and how she was probably the last person to hug him. He remembers how young she was when he rescued her from pirates. When he took her on as his Padawan. Now, she’s a capable Master with a seat on the Council. He feels a lot of pride when he looks at her and hears of her achievements. While he contributed greatly to her learning, Depa’s success is entirely her own.
Sometimes, he acknowledges that he misses her. He shouldn’t; attachments are forbidden. But- he’ll always see Depa as a daughter even if it’s wrong. There’s a large part of him that’s empty, that’s stayed empty since she passed her Trials and became a Knight. Now, they barely see each other outside the Council meetings. She’s a busy person and has only taken on more dangerous missions as a Master. Depa will do great things in her career (has done great things), but he worries about her nonetheless. She walks the Light and Dark like him, yet there’s always the temptation of Falling. Mace will never surrender himself to darkness, but the same can’t be said of Depa.
He’s scared that if she Falls, it will be because of him. That it’ll be his fault because he taught her Vaapad; he showed her the temptation first.
Mace shoves that thought out. Depa will never Turn if Mace has any say in the matter. Never. He nears the crèche, arms still cradling the girl. Ahsoka fell asleep a while ago, her little snores muffled into his robes. The situation reminds him of when he found her sleeping atop Plo in the Room of a Thousand Fountains.
As he enters the crèche, the other younglings turn to him with awe, a tinge of fear, and a lot of confusion. He gently lays Ahsoka down, careful with her lekku and montrals. She holds a hand out, reaching for him, then drops it to her chest. When he looks at her, he sees Plo’s reflection. For a while, Mace considered confronting Plo about his attachment. Attachments lead to obsession and fear and the Dark Side. But Plo’s relationship with Ahsoka is so pure and full of Light that he never bothered with the conversation. Already, the pair have the makings of an incredible bond that could last decades. The Force sings whenever they’re together.
When he sees Plo and Ahsoka hugging, Mace thinks of Depa and himself.
Mace tucks Ahsoka in, not bothering to acknowledge the many eyes following his every action. Against his better judgement, he rubs a gentle hand along the side of her face, and she nuzzles into it. He whispers a small goodbye, projecting a wave of calm through the Force. As he leaves the crèche, Mace decides to contact Depa soon. And Eeth. And Qui-Gon. Not for official Jedi business but as family.
After all, attachments are forbidden but love is not.
a/n:  Yoda totally wasn’t the one leading Ahsoka to Mace and also never hid Ahoska’s force signature. Nope ;) I know Shaak wasn’t on the council during/ before Phantom Menace, but I wanted another Togruta there for some representation. Also there isn’t as much cute Ahsoka stuff but she’s the cutest when with Plo and a terror with everyone else so…

An Analysis of Ahsoka and Windu's Interaction in TCW Finale Season 7 Episode 11 - Why Windu's Comment is in the Right
It's been 28 days since the Clone Wars finale finished. It has been 31 days since Episode 11: Shattered aired. This was the infamous episode that had a good majority raging anger at Jedi Master/General and Council Member Mace Windu.
In the opening 5-6mins, we see the Jedi Council meeting via hologram, the scene we see taking place on Coruscant in Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Moments after, Ahsoka walks in with Rex. Now, this opinion might put me in the crosshairs of some people who will think differently, but I have an inkling or belief some are misinterpreting this particular scene.
Let me make it clear first: I love Ahsoka. She is one of the greatest characters brought into the Star Wars mythos by George Lucas and brought to life by Dave Filoni and voiced wonderfully by the talented Ashley Eckstein. Do you want to know how much Ahsoka Tano means to me? I wouldn't have come back and embraced Star Wars again had I not discovered her character watching random Rebels clips on YouTube which led me back to the Clone Wars ~2yrs ago.
I greatly thank Ashley Eckstein for bringing me back to the fandom. Back to the main point, separating voice actor/actress from their character. In my point of view, I'm NOT directing it at EVERYONE, but some of those who love or big fans of Ahsoka so much there's no fault in her. Her character had faults in the beginning and she's still a flawed character. Ahsoka is flawed, but so well written, she is relatable and to a certain degree, perfect. That's not what I'm on about. It's about the lash and some giving Windu the slap because of how he addresses and speaks to Ahsoka post-capture and detainment of Maul.
We all know, but to refresh some, Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi Order, this effectively removing her status as a Jedi Padawan and Commander of the 501st Legion of the Grand Army of the Republic. She chose to walk away and strip herself of everything, military rank and privileges. She is essentially a standard citizen trying to survive and make ends meet of a cruel galaxy, in a dying Galactic Republic. We are well aware, the twilight of the Republic and the Jedi was near, inevitable and unavoidable. So let me reiterate Ahsoka's stance, because this is an important point. Tano is a CITIZEN. She's a CIVILIAN.
Push forward to the Siege of Mandalore, without a doubt, some time has passed and Ahsoka's walkabout took place before the Bad Batch arc, with Republic on shaky battle grounds against the Separatists on Annaxes, which it's sitting on a major hyperspace lane direct to Coruscant (way too close for comfort).
By the time Ahsoka fills in the Council about the status of Maul and Mandalore, here comes the scene that had a lot of people running up the walls of how Windu addresses and treats Ahsoka. Let's remind ourselves of some vital quotes and points. Ahsoka was not a Jedi, she gave that up. She could have chosen to enlist directly into the GAR instead as a commissioned officer or take back her position as Commander via the GAR. Positions and military rank were given to the Jedi by their own status in the Order. Knights and Masters given General, Padawans ranked Commanders (Obi-wan an exception since he had a Clone Marshal Commander).
The Siege of Mandalore was going to be a sticky one despite success because Mandalore is a neutral planet, though it had links to the Republic, but is very much neutral. I won't go into complexities, but visit the YouTube channel Generation Tech, they did a very good exploration into it. I'll avoid politics standpoints for now.
Back to the primary point. Ahsoka stated she only fought in the siege as her duty as a citizen, but as not a Jedi.
"I did my duty as a citizen." - Ahsoka Tano
She also says prior to that statement:
"I will escort Commander Rex when he delivers him to Coruscant." - Ahsoka Tano
Finished with:
"No, not yet." - Ahsoka Tano
This is the key point here. Ahsoka is a citizen. She aided as a citizen, fought as a citizen and she is taking time out to escort Commander Rex and the 332nd back to Coruscant. After that, she would have went her separate ways (but we all know disaster strikes). To make it clear: Ahsoka Tano is a citizen who freely involved herself in what would have been a campaign, part of the Outer Rim Sieges and in extension, Jedi business.
Now, the statement Windu make upon the 'wrapping up' of the meeting.
"I'm sorry, citizen, but these are matters for the Council to discuss." - Mace Windu
And this where lovers of TCW nearly flipped the table. The scenario was read and interpreted as rude and maybe even condescending on Ahsoka, despite her service in the siege. However, I think the scene is being read incorrectly.
Ahsoka openly stated before the High Jedi Council that she is a citizen, only fought as her duty as a citizen. How often in real life do you hear a citizen involving themself in a military campaign? It's almost unheard of, but this is Star Wars and it's fiction, but there is real life influences that make logical sense.
In this case, there is without a doubt somewhere in the regulation handbook of the GAR that under any circumstances are civilians NOT to be disclosed to military information. Military information and even to involved in the Council meeting, it's something not be shared with a civilian. Sharing what is classified information is a MAJOR breach in security. I'm not saying Ahsoka is a spy (though she does become a pretty badass one one in Rebels), but because of her status as a civilian, she cannot be disclosed such information. Heck, even if the boys wanted to see her again, Ahsoka cannot walk into the Clone Barracks anymore. She probably can, unless someone escorts her, people like Rex or a fellow General such as Anakin.
We already know Windu is getting stressed by the war, almost desperate to end the war and we all know the action he takes in the film. Windu does love the Republic, if I'm correct, it was quoted in Stover's ROTS novelisation, he thought he is doing best for the Republic.
Anyways, I think there are those being too harsh on Windu. Think about it again, I'd you were in Ahsoka's shoes, a citizen after fighting in a siege, essentially part of the Clone Wars, neither you would be privy to sensitive information. Windu is stoic as it is, it's not his attitude, it's his tone that came across as condescending. He was only repeating what Ahsoka stated to them, so his mindset was: "alright, you called yourself a citizen, then you shall be treated as such". Yes, his tone might not have helped much, but he is right. Ahsoka could be disclosed what is highly sensitive and classified information. If they did, just because she used to be part of the Order, it is A MAJOR BREACH in security protocol.
To repeat: Windu is correct to tell Tano that she cannot be disclosed what goes on in a Council Meeting or the situation of the war. It is all down due her status as a citizen. It would be a different story if after leaving the Jedi, she reinstated herself by enlisting with the GAR.
Just remember that despite misgivings, Windu is a highly valued member of the Jedi Order and a highly skilled one. He is also powerful in the Force. Before the war broke out in 22 BBY, he was trained as a Jedi Guardian, up to the events of TPM, he was already a Master of the Order and even one of the best swordsman of the time. He was first taught under Grand Master Yoda, then his years as Padawan up to the Jedi Knight Trials learning under Jedi Master T'ra Saa. At a very young agree too, he discovered his rare Force ability to see shatterpoints in the Force. This skill greatly aided Windu at how hissy would his future actions, along with the vulnerability of the opponents he faced. Because of his ability in shatterpoint, Windu even had glimpses into parts of the future of how he works build his lightsaber.
Windu also created one off the most difficult lightsaber forms that the Jedi Order forbade except to even and perhaps even his own student: Master Depa Billaba. Quinlan Vos is another notable practitioner. A counteract style to Form VII: Juyo. He created Vaapad, along with another Jedi Master named Sora Bulq. Quoting Windu on his description when he created the form:
"I created Vaapad to answer my weakness: it channels my own darkness into a weapon of the light." - Mace Windu
Windu had his own struggles with the Dark Side and he channelled that into a form. To use ones own inner darkness and channel it into a weapon of the light and not even fall in the process. It's an opposite of Juyo, the style being more of a 'state of mind' and not just another fighting style. To channel their own darkness and accept the fury of an opponent whereas Juyo as described by Kreia:
"Predictably, he seeks to unbalance you with his erratic attacks. His technique is called Juyo, the most chaotic of the lightsaber forms. This form sacrifices much to bolster offense, leaving one exposed to attack by the Force." - Kreia
This post had gone on long enough, all I'm saying is to maybe read the interaction between Ahsoka and Windu a little bit differently. Windu is correct not to disclose classified information, even council information especially with her status as a civilian. Perhaps don't be quick to judge Windu or even just think twice. Sorry for the long post, but I needed to get out of my head.

What if Mace Windu trained Anakin Skywalker
In an au where Mace is chosen to train Anakin, The council decides to honor Qui-Gon's wishes and train Anakin, but recognizes his emotion and age would make a poor combination as a first student for a fresh Jedi Knight. Mace Windu is given the task of guiding Anakin's force potential and emotional tendencies. How does Vapaad's capacity to harness emotion harm/help Anakin?
First off we know that Anakin is controlled by his emotions, and the Jedi Council senses his emotions such as fear for his mother that could lead him down to the path to the Dark Side. Mace Windu knows how to control the dark side, he uses his dark and volatile emotions and channels them into his lightsaber fighting form. He walks a fine line and knows how to control both sides. This is exactly what Anakin needed. Where Obi-Wan was inexperienced (and barely being a Knight) and believed in always remaining calm, not using his emotions at all, he didn’t help Anakin. Anakin couldn’t ignore his emotions, it is who he is, he’s a very emotional person and ignoring his emotions isn’t going to help him. Mace could’ve straightened him out and taught him how to channel his emotions into his fighting, that is what he needed. Not ignoring his emotions but learning to control them. Had he done that, he wouldn’t be the same Anakin in AOTC.
Few scenarios
During the Republic and Clone Wars
Windu's and Anakin's personalities mesh really well. Windu sees Anakin as like himself when he was younger so he gives him plenty of attention and helps him to avoid pitfalls that he otherwise would have fallen prey to. Anakin seeing Windu as a mentor that gets him.
Anakin’s Lightsaber is just like that in canon, only this time his hilt is made of Electrum and has a purple Crystal.
Depa Billaba is like Anakin’s big sister. Always being there for Anakin to confide in before he gets close to Master Windu. And when Anakin was still in training she promised to kick anyone’s ass who dared bullied Anakin or calling him slave(followed by Mace yelling NO YOU FUCKING WON’T) needless to say, Anakin would never confide in Palpatine while Mace and Depa are around.
Despite Anakin and Obi-Wan not being master and apprentice, they form a close friendship
Mace would encourage Anakin to make friends with his fellow Padawans.
Mace eventually instructs Anakin in the philosophy and use of Vapaad. During their first training session Anakin instinctively grasps the binary concept of the style and gives himself to the intense, synergistic heat of the battle, fueling his moves with both the light and dark side of the Force. Mace, realizing he's sparring with someone who truly gets the style, lowers his mental defenses and fully commits to the passion and intricacies of Vapaad. The duality of the style creates a closed feedback loop where the energy of the Force flows freely between the two in a way that has never happened before.
With visions of his mother troubling Anakin, perhaps Mace would send a Jedi to Tatooine to make sure Shmi is alright. Maybe make it in time to stop the Tusken Raiders.
With Mace captured, Anakin would want to save Mace as much as Padme.
Anakin might never have lost his arm to Dooku. Logically, he wouldn't even have been there since he'd be with his master, Windu. Even if he had been sent to help Kenobi, he would have acted less brashly, being better disciplined by Windu. So there's significant difference just through ep2.
With their closer relationship, I can see Anakin confiding in Mace about his relationship with Padme. Anakin is afraid. Mace first instinct would be to tell the Council, but perhaps Mace Windu can tell Anakin the legend of Jolee Bindo. Basically telling him. "Love doesn't lead to the dark side. Passion can lead to rage and fear, and can be controlled, but passion is not the same thing as love. Controlling your passions while being in love.” “The lesson is that you need to beware of your passions and control them, but love itself will save you, not condemn you." this way Mace can keep Anakin with the Jedi, while also helping Anakin controlling his emotions. Jolee is Legends, but fuck it, this is my AU and it really would’ve helped Anakin.
Obi-Wan will train Ahsoka.  By the time the Clone Wars rages on, Obi-Wan has become a master of Ahsoka Tano. I do believe Anakin and Ahsoka would’ve been friends at least.
Anakin must guide Ahsoka into not giving into her anger as Obi-Wan fakes his own death to get closer to Cad Bane
Anakin and Obi-Wan work together to bring the truth of Ahsoka’s innocence and exposing Barriss.
As the war nears to the end, Depa introduces Anakin to her Padawan, Caleb Dume. During his time as a youngling, Caleb was in awe with Anakin and looked up to him, shy at first but eventually they become close. Anakin becomes an older brother to Caleb and Anakin tells Caleb the same thing Depa told him. Depa then tells Anakin “Oh Anakin.....that’s my job” followed by Mace saying “NO IT FUCKING ISN’T”
As the incident with Fives happens, Anakin and Mace decide to investigate Fives’ claims. Nearly everyone in the 501st and 187th Legions remove their chips.
Anakin would not be so easily convinced into killing Dooku. Anakin starts questioning the Chancellor. “I cannot kill an unarmed prisoner. This man is a Sith Lord and the leader of the Separatists, he is too valuable, why would I kill him?” Palpatine is shaking in his boots, he must play along without looking suspicious. Once Mace regains consciousness, he congrats his apprentice in defeating Dooku and taking him alive.
For Anakin’s valor in The Clone Wars and for successfully bringing in Count Dooku alive, Anakin is granted the Rank of Jedi Master and joins the Council.
Dooku is brought before the senate and put on trial. Before Dooku can reveal anything about Palpatine’s true nature, Cad Bane assassinates Dooku on Palpatine’s orders.
Now there is a man hunt for both Cad Bane and General Grievous.
Obi-Wan is tasked with finding Grievous, Mace is tasked with finding Cad Bane. Anakin is tasked with spying on Palpatine.
Because of Palpatine’s suspicious actions and Count Dooku’s sudden assassination, Anakin is given more incentive to spy on the Chancellor.
Anakin confides in Mace about his visions about Padme’s death. Mace tells him “these could be falsely implanted visions by the Sith, the dark side clouds our ability to perceive the future. Do not trust in these visions Anakin, until we can uncover the true Sith Lord behind everything, trust your feelings and the force” Anakin is assured that these dreams are not real.
When Padme tells Anakin “What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists, and the Republic has become the very evil we have been fighting to destroy?” this time, Anakin agrees, he starts to believe that something isn’t right with the Chancellor. This will have Padme bring Anakin in on the meeting with Bail, Mon Mothma and the other senators. They say what they say in those deleted scenes, but when Anakin speaks, he will say “when I was on the rescue mission with Master Windu, Chancellor Palpatine wanted me to execute Count Dooku....when he was brought on trial he was assassinated. Something isn’t right.” This affirms that everyone must rebel if the Republic is to survive, even Anakin must join them. “I will report to the Jedi Council, the Jedi serve the Republic not one single politician.”
When Palpatine tells Anakin the “tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise” Anakin immediately stops him, “if the Jedi do not tell this story, how do you know this?” Once again, Palpatine must act quickly. Plays it off as “an old tale I heard from Chancellor Valorum to warn us of the Sith.” Anakin still remains suspicious but hears the tale. Anakin does not ask the question of “if it’s possible to learn that power?” Anakin knows the visions are false. There is a complete divide between Anakin and Palpatine. He knows he cannot be turned, so all Palpatine needs is an excuse to execute Order 66.
Mace Windu tracks Cad Bane to the moon of Concord Dawn
Cad Bane killed Dooku because Palpatine payed him, but also so Bane can draw out Mace Windu, so Boba Fett can finally have his revenge. I know what you must be thinking, “Cad Bane was killed by Boba Fett in the cut CW storyline” yes, but since it did not happen and as it looks like the new TCW will not feature that storyline, this is what I am going with.
Mace Windu started out as the hunter, but he is now the hunted. He is being hunted by Cad Bane, Boba Fett, Aurra Sing, Bossk and Dengar. Mace uses his wits and Vaapad to guide him out of his ordeal.
One by one, Mace cuts the Bounty hunters down. They are either dead or severely injured. All that is left standing is Mace, Bane and Fett. Bane and Fett barrage Mace with blasters, rockets, flamethrowers, thermal detonators and he’s still standing motherfuckers. Boba gets one good shot in Mace, severely injuring the Jedi Master, but deflects his last shot to hit Boba Fett in the head giving him his iconic dented helmet. Finally Mace and Bane are alone. Mace disarms Bane and demands to know who ordered Dooku’s assassination. Bane mocks Windu “isn’t it obvious Jedi? Darth Sidious. One who controls the Senate..now who do you think that i-” Boba Fett shoots  Cad Bane dead before losing consciousness.
Anakin and Palpatine talking about the scene where Palpatine tells him of the dark side. Anakin puts two and two together. And reports him to the council. Without the Chancellor twisting his mind against the Jedi and decency in general, Anakin maintains his place and respect for the Jedi.
Mace just arrives. back. “Anakin, Cad Bane is dead, he was hired by Darth Sidious to silence Dooku.” “Master, Chancellor Palpatine is Darth Sidious” The scene plays out as usual, but because Anakin is his apprentice, Anakin goes with Mace, Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, and Saesee Tiin.
The confrontation will happen. Sidious kills the Jedi masters, only Mace and Anakin remain. Palpatine knows Anakin cannot be turned, so he fights serious and uses both of his Lightsabers. The fight is on even footing, but both Anakin and Mace are able to disarm Palpatine. “You have lost, my lord” “no, no YOU HAVE LOST!” Palpatine fires force lightning upon Mace but he blocks it. Palpatine pleas to Anakin “you must choose” Anakin stands with Mace and declares “I am a Jedi” “So be it, JEDI! EXECUTE ORDER 66! Clone Troopers storm in and starts firing upon Anakin and Mace and Palpatine force pushes them out the window.
Anakin and Windu rush to the Jedi Temple to warn the Jedi of Sidious' treachery, only to discover that Clone Troopers have already begun an Operation Knightfall. They manage to locate and rescue Masters Shaak Ti and Cin Drallig. Anakin contacts Padmé and tells her to meet him and the other Jedi on Sentor Bail Organa's starship.
Because the 501st and 187th Legions all removed their chips, Rex and Lieutenant Law are still loyal to Anakin and Mace.
Ahsoka would do the same to Cody as she did to Rex. When returning rendezvous point with Obi-Wan, Cody makes peace with Obi-Wan
The Jedi later meet up with Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Yoda, Plo Koon, Padmé, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Senator Organa and agree to put a stop to Darth Sidious.
Sensing a disturbance in the force, Anakin and Obi-Wan head to Mustafar while the others decide to head back to Coruscant.
Yoda, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti and Cin Dralling attack Sidious, who has reformed the Republic into the first Galactic Empire. Despite their best efforts, the Jedi are unable to destroy the Sith Lord, who kills everyone but Yoda
Anakin and Obi-Wan  have discovered that the Republic Commandos have slaughtered the Separatist leaders. After killing the Clones, the Jedi prepare to head back prepare to return to Coruscant, only to find Darth Sidious waiting for them.
Padme suddenly goes into labor, so Mace and Ahsoka takes her to the remote asteroid Polis Massa.
After Anakin again rejects an offer to join the Dark Side, Sidious engages the two Jedi in a fierce lightsaber duel that spans across several levels of the volcanic world. Ultimately, the Jedi win and Sidious is buried under rubble, allowing them to escape into space with R2-D2 before Sidious can dig himself out. Anakin and Obi-Wan head to Polis Massa, where Padmé has given birth to twins that she has named Luke and Leia. It is decided that the twins must be separated in order to protect them from Sidious. Anakin will give Luke to his step-brother Owen and asks him to keep Luke safe. Bail Organa agrees to keep Padme and Leia safe on Alderaan.
The Jedi then scatter across the galaxy until the time is right to challenge the newly established Empire, with Yoda heading to Dagobah and Obi-Wan heading to Tatooine to watch over Luke as a request to Anakin.
Padme made the hard decision to separate the twins. Padme chose to keep Leia, while she gave Luke to Owen and Beru to keep him safe. Padme is not only the mother of Luke and Leia, Padme is the mother of the Rebellion. Padme fakes her death, and goes on to lead the Rebellion to fight Palpatine in the shadows. Known across the Empire as a mysterious and unknown but powerful political figure under the code name Tython, she is among the Empire’s Most Wanted and Public Enemy No 1.
Mace has left to gather surviving Jedi and lead his own Rebel cell. Think of Mace as the Jedi Saw Gerrera
Anakin, meanwhile, disappears into space in order to secretly combat the Empire. Fighting for the Republic, for freedom and for his family
Sidious launches a manhunt for Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Mace Windu, vowing to "terminate the Jedi once and for all."
The Dark days of the Empire
Palpatine brought Maul back into his good graces. As Maul attempts to kill him, Palpatine simply tortures him until he knows his place. Once again he is Darth Maul. Apprentice to Darth Sidious and the new enforcer for the Empire.
Palpatine has gained a secret apprentice. Mara Jade The Emperor’s Hand and powerful within the dark side. Groomed from childhood to adulthood She holds authority over the Grand Inquisitor, but The Emperor’s Hand isn’t the only title she holds, known by The Inquisitors as The Last Sister. Her goal is to hunt down the Jedi and exterminate the Skywalker family and bring order to the galaxy
In place of Vader’s Mustafar castle, Darth Maul has a castle on Dathomir
Mace alongside his Jedi squadron and 187th Legion has brought the hurt to the Empire. He has gone to numerous lengths to stop the Empire at every turn.
Anakin has become a shadow like figure to the Empire. The one Jedi they all fear. He’s assassinating Moffs and high ranking members of the Imperial military. Freeing aliens enslaved to the Empire. Anakin leads the 501st Legion to bring justice to the galaxy. Whenever Anakin is ever cornered by Stormtroopers, the 501st is there, especially his ever faithful Captain Rex. Whenever Inquisitors are sent Anakin is always victorious. He saves apprentices, younglings and Jedi who are all struggling to survive the Empire’s Might. Anakin directs all survivors to Ach-To. They will be safe there. At some point Anakin reunites with Ahsoka and Kanan.
Anakin, Mace and Kanan all reunite. All of them grieve for Depa. They know this will probably be the last time they will ever see each other again. Anakin hugs Kanan goodbye  and says “until we meet again little brother” and all 3 of them says “may the force be with you” all going their separate ways. Before Mace leaves, all Anakin can do is hug him
Anakin instructs Ahsoka on where to find the Jedi he saved and tells her to guide them. Ahsoka will take them to Mortis.
Mace launches a suicide mission against The Emperor. An entire squadron of Jedi Knights and the 187th Legion makes one last stand against The Empire and The Emperor. The 187th Legion and Mace’s strike team have all been destroyed by Palpatine. The fight between Mace and Palpatine is even and is laying destruction within the Imperial palace. Mace feels as though this is a trick, the last time he had Palpatine where he wanted him, Order 66 was executed. Why is he still alive? He could’ve destroyed him along with his Legion and fellow Jedi...something from the shadows is clouding his vision. The lightning stops and Palpatine simply sits back on his throne. “Attack me master Windu, I am unarmed. You want to kill me and end the Empire do you not” Mace understands he wants to unbalance him and Mace refuses. “I will not play by your games, my lord.” “Oh my old friend, you’ve already lost” Suddenly a piercing crimson blade pierces Mace’s chest. Mace looks behind to see Darth Maul. And then as Mace clutches his chest, Palpatine unleashes a torrent of force lightning, killing the Jedi master once and for all.
Anakin feels Mace’s death and falls to the floor. His mentor and his brother died. All he can do now is continue his attack on the Empire and restore the Jedi.
After the destruction of Jedha, Scarif and the reveal of the Death Star. the time for Rebellion is now. Padme contacts Anakin that the time to unite the family is now.
Darth Maul boards the Tantive IV. He kills everyone but Leia, she is the only prisoner worth taking.
Anakin goes to Luke and Owen. When Anakin arrives, Luke immediately knows who Anakin is and embraces Anakin in a hug. Anakin thanks Owen and Beru for keeping Luke safe. It isn’t just Luke Anakin is reunited with, it’s R2-D2 and C-3PO. R2 is all happy beeps. 3PO was memory wiped but Anakin understands. They bid Owen and Beru farewell.
Anakin and Luke goes to bring back Obi-Wan. As old friends reunite, Anakin informs Obi-Wan about the situation and of Mace’s death. Obi-Wan tells him he felt it as well but Mace trained him well. But Luke tells them both that R2 has a message for Obi-Wan. Leia’s message plays and Anakin is in tears and reaches his hand for his daughter. As Anakin left Captain Rex with Phoenix Squadron and the rest of the 501st must remain with the Rebellion, they seek out a pilot. So they find Han Solo. When they are talking payment, to Obi-Wan’s surprise and to Han’s joy, Anakin dumps a shit ton of credits. “Is that enough to pay for our passage?” Han who cannot stop smiling “More than enough, ten times over.” Obi-Wan just stares at Anakin “and just WHERE DID YOU GET ALL THAT???” Anakin says “you’d be surprised as to how much credits the Moffs are all carrying.”
Thanks to Anakin’s generous donation, Han is able to pay off his debt to Jabba the moment he comes to him. Oh he still shoots Greedo first, but he just needed to do that to get Jabba’s attention
Anakin admires the Falcon while Luke calls it a piece of junk. After hearing Anakin’s compliments of the Falcon and seeing Han in all smiles, Obi-Wan has a horrible thought “Oh no.....there’s two of them”
Anakin and Han fight over who flies the Falcon and Obi-Wan is regretting his life choices
Anakin and Obi-Wan teach Luke the ways of the Jedi
During their flight to Alderaan, Anakin tells Luke the truth of Leia and his mother. How beautiful, kind and strong Padme is and how both him and Leia were separated. The time is now to join and train his children and end the Emperor together.
Unlike Vader, Maul takes sadistic glee in The Death Star. He still chokes those who dare question Tarkin’s rule as he finds kinship in Tarkin’s brutality
Obi-Wan knows Maul is on board and must face him and disables the tractor beam. Anakin must save his daughter.
Maul senses Obi-Wan and Anakin, but his main focus is “KENOBI”
Han asks why he cares so much about one blasted princess. Anakin simply says, she’s his daughter and Luke’s sister and she is more important than he could possibly realize....also she’s rich and will reward him just as much and that’s all Han needed to hear.
Anakin sees what Luke’s trying to do with Chewie  and points out, no need and ignites his lightsaber
Everyone in the detention center lies dead.  and Anakin and Luke go to find Leia.
Leia recognizes Anakin almost immediately. Leia was shown holo recordings of her father by Padme since she was a child and embraces her father. Anakin tells  Leia who Luke is and the siblings embrace in a hug
Darth Maul and Obi-Wan duel to the death. “You can’t win Maul. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.” Maul isn’t having any of it and fully intends to kill Kenobi
As the Skywalkers, Han, Chewie and the droids prepare to escape, they see Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan makes the sacrifice. Anakin is in tears and Luke shouts “NO!” Darth Maul prepares to do the same to Anakin, but they shoot the blast doors in time and escape.
Anakin and Luke reunite with Padme. Finally, after 20 years The Skywalkers are reunited.
The 501st assist the Rebels in the Death Star assault. It is going well. Anakin must stay behind on Yavin with Padme and Leia. He has faith Luke and The Rebels can destroy the Death Star
As he senses Maul destroying the X-Wings one by one, Anakin feels helpless as he has Luke in his crosshairs
Maul feels a pity, as Luke would’ve been the perfect apprentice to help him kill the Emperor
Han makes the save and Luke destroys the Death Star
Han and Luke are given their medals
Throughout the years between ANH and ESB, Anakin would train his children. By now they have both achieved the rank of Jedi Knight. As Maul and the Empire finds them, they must go. Anakin directs them to Dagobah where Yoda will complete their training.
However Anakin tells them he will meet them there. He intends to face Maul on Hoth. The fight is what you expect. Anakin uses Vaapad against Maul and Maul’s arrogance gets the better of him. Maul dies in Anakin’s arms. “Are....are you the chosen one? Are your children the chosen ones?” “We are.” “You will all avenge us”
Han does not like the thought of going to Dagobah, especially with the Empire on their trail. With Leia assuring him all will go well, Han is a little assured. When the Falcon crashes in the water. Han and Chewie looses it
Luke and Leia are very patient when it comes to Yoda but as soon as Chewie comes over, Chewie confirms he is Yoda. Han goes “and how would you know that???” “I fought in the Clone Wars, Han” “Well, what do you want, a medal???”
Luke and Leia are put through Yoda’s training and during that time, Han makes his move on Leia and embraces her in a kiss.
Luke and Leia together lift the Falcon out of the swamp and Han gets to work fast to clean the Falcon.
Luke and Leia sense their father on Bespin and in great danger. They want to leave, but Yoda strongly advises against it.  Han talks them into it. He owes Anakin for getting him out of debt to Jabba, so it’s the least he can do.
Han and Lando reunite like old friends and treats Luke and Leia with hospitality. But they feel something’s off
Mara Jade reveals herself and holds Anakin hostage. “Draw your lightsabers and your father dies. Fortunately for you, The Emperor wants you all alive.”
Before Anakin could be put into carbonite freezing, Anakin gives one last moment with his children and Han.  He hugs Luke and Leia goodbye and tells Han to keep them both safe. As Anakin is frozen into carbonite, all Leia can do is hug Han and her brother and all Luke can do is cry with his sister.
Mara Jade tells the Twins “If you wish to see your father ever again, come before the Emperor. This is your only hope.”
Lando signals to Han of his plan via wink and both Han and Lando starts blasting Imperials and hands the twins their lightsabers.
Leia is absolutely furious with Lando. He explains himself that Bespin was held hostage. Luke understands, but Leia almost loses herself. “We can bring him back.”
As both Luke and Leia explain everything to their mother, they all plan to bring Anakin home
Palpatine has Anakin where he wants him as a decoration aboard his throne room in the Death Star II and his lightsaber right by his side. Palpatine would monologue to the frozen Anakin. “Anakin my old friend, I know you can hear me. This is what loyalty to the Jedi got you. Servitude, loss and imprisonment. You were nothing but a slave when you were found and a slave you shall remain. The perfect punishment for denying me 20 years ago. And when you’re children arrive, they will be made into what you should have been. Mine. They will embrace the dark side of the force and only then will you be free. You will watch your precious Padme and her Rebellion die, your children will die and then my old friend, you will die.” A single tear leaves Anakin’s face
Mara Jade heard everything. She’s beginning to question everything Palpatine ever taught her was lie.
Luke and Leia surrenders themselves while Han leads the ground assault on Endor
Luke and Leia feel the conflict within Mara, but Mara puts on a front. She has to.
Luke and Leia are brought before the Emperor and he makes them both feel the hatred and rage at seeing their friends die one by one.  They both draw their lightsabers and aim to kill the Emperor
Mara Jade intervenes....for the plan to work, Mara must play her part
Mara and the twins are evenly matched.
Luke and Mara duel, while Leia attempts to save her father
As they duel, Luke attempts to get through to her. “You are not what he made you. you have a choice” “What? the be a Rebel? a Jedi?” “A choice to be better.” “You sound just like your father. He thought I could be saved, I was the Emperor’s since childhood” There’s nothing for me.” “You have me. I am offering you a chance, you only have to take it” Luke extends a hand to Mara Jade and she takes it.
Mara fills Luke and Leia telepathically about the plan. After Maul fell on Hoth, she hunted Anakin down. He waited for her to come. She told him she had every intention of killing him, the Jedi and the Skywalker family. Anakin would not allow that to happen. But Anakin sensed something within her. That she knows that this isn’t right, some part of her knew that this isn’t right. The Emperor raised her to be his hand and weapon. Anakin tells her there is a better way. “Living as a Jedi is not worth it. No, not as a Jedi, the choice to choose and live free. A better way of life. Help me stop the Emperor and you will be free.” So they devised a plan, something The Emperor could not resist. The Emperor could keep Anakin as a trophy to punish him and turn his children against him. At the right moment when he is free, Anakin will strike. It will weaken him momentarily and together his family will kill The Emperor and destroy the Sith once and for all.
Luke, Mara and Leia stand before the emperor and bow
The Emperor is pleased. His arrogance clouds his judgement “Good. Good. Soon your father will be free and he will watch helplessly as his Rebellion ends. As the Rebellion ends, the Jedi will be no more and your mother and his precious Pad-” Anakin’s Lightsaber pierces Palpatine. To his horror, Anakin is free. “You do not dare say her name ever again.”
Anakin, Luke and Leia stand united. Father and his children. Jedi Masters. The Skywalkers. The Chosen ones.
Palpatine has had enough defiance from the Jedi and unleashes storm after storm of force lightning.
Palpatine asks Mara Jade to kill them and to fulfill her destiny. Anakin asks Mara to help them. “You FOOL Anakin, she is my weapon and slave, she is mine, she knows nothing else, something you should have learned LONG AGO”
As Palpatine is focused on destroying the Skywalkers. Mara Jade stabs him in the back. “et tu, Mara?” and the Skywalkers pierce thee Emperor and tosses him down the reactor shaft. Vanquishing him forever.
Anakin hugs his children and Luke tells Mara “you are finally free.”
They all escape the Death Star as it explodes
As they all reunite, Anakin and Padme embrace, while Han and Leia kiss and hug.
Mara tells Luke “I am free, Farmboy and I choose you” Mara kisses Luke
The Endor celebration happens only with the inclusion of Mara and we see the force ghosts of Mace, Obi-Wan, and Yoda looking on to see that all is well

Do you know what is interesting? Palpatine and Obi-wan have the same opponents. They are both fighting using two lightsabers. We almost get a comparison of their skills. Almost. One is still Sith and the other is Jedi.
In reference to this post.
Okay, I love jar’kai. And I love lightsaber combat styles. Fair warning, though, I am not a fencing practitioner in real life, so I am working directly off of Wookieepedia and headcanons, and not any practical application in actual dueling. (Although one day...one day...)
PALPATINE
“Although the full extent of Sidious’s mastery of each form of lightsaber combat have [sic] not been displayed, he had enough competence with the forms of Juyo, Makashi, Niman and also apparently Shien or Soresu to teach them to his apprentice Maul. At times, Sidious displayed considerable proficiency in applying Force attacks into his lightsaber combat, which can be attributed to his superb skills in Niman. He also used a Form V opening stance when up against Mace Windu and at times has displayed reasonable skills in deflection, apparently due to his mastery of Shien.” (x)
So basically, Palpatine is well-versed in almost all the lightsaber forms and incorporates them into his jar’kai with an astounding amount of fluidity, most likely drawing off the very same Juyo he had taught Darth Maul.
OBI-WAN KENOBI
We all know that Obi-wan is the Soresu practitioner. And that he, originally, learned Ataru from Qui-gon but abandoned the form after Qui-gon’s death. But if one goes trolling through the Wookieepedia black hole, a few interesting snippets appear.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi studied Niman during his apprenticeship under Qui-Gon Jinn, attempting to learn how to apply the Force while in the midst of combat, a practice he commented as being difficult but eventually mastered enough to seamlessly Force Push droids.“ (x)
“During the Invasion of Naboo, Obi-Wan Kenobi showed a basic knowledge of Shien, utilizing it in conjunction with the rare reverse grip to skillfully deflect blaster bolts, overcoming Ataru's weakness against blaster-wielding opponents, as he had yet to learn Soresu.“ (x)
“Obi-Wan Kenobi commented Form I was wild, raw, and deadly, requiring much emotional heat, and Kit Fisto noted how hard it was to control the pull of Form I, disabling opponents rather than killing them. However, Kenobi was nevertheless versed to a degree in Shii-Cho, able to infuse elements of the Form into his swordplay, including the rematch with Count Dooku onboard the Invisible Hand.” (x)
“For his part, Drallig refused to allow Anakin Skywalker to study Juyo, while Obi-Wan Kenobi was likewise forbidden to learn Vaapad by Qui-Gon Jinn.” (x)
----------------
Now, I actually did look up the forms our other jar’kai practitioners were versed in. And I ended up with this:
Kit Fisto --> Shii-Cho
Anakin Skywalker --> Djem-So, Ataru
Barriss Offee --> Soresu
Ahsoka Tano --> Shien, Ataru, Djem-So
Asajj Ventress --> Makashi, Ky Narec’s style (not identified)
Darth Maul --> Juyo, Niman, Soresu, Shien, Makashi
Jar’kai is not necessarily a separate fighting style, but rather a fighting style that incorporates elements from the seven base lightsaber combat forms using two blades. And so it makes sense that Maul is on the top of this list and is able to go head to head with Sidious, considering he is trained in and has mastered a wide variety of styles.
What is even more interesting, is that Obi-wan has mastered an equal number of styles, albeit slightly different ones. And that the only areas in which he is seemingly lacking in comparison to the Sith are in Makashi and Juyo/Vapaad. And Obi-wan wanted to learn Vapaad in his youth, and you can’t tell me that he didn’t some research behind Qui-gon’s back.
Now, probably all Jedi are at least given rudimentary instruction in most of the forms, but none are mentioned as having capabilities in so many varieties of forms as much as Obi-wan and Yoda. (And interestingly enough, Vader, later on.)
Now, the Niman form is a gateway to jar’kai, and also relies heavily on Force manipulation during combat. And you can see this with Sidious in the duel with Maul and Savage. Any time Sidious is at a disadvantage, he uses the Force to turn it into an advantage, like when Maul kicks him off a wall and Sidious just pulls the two Zabrack with him to fall to the ground. And this would explain Sidious’s ridiculous skills.
For Obi-wan, Ataru training often used two blades, and you can see in his duel with Maul and Savage that he is a bit more acrobatic, twirling and doing that little kick-up from the ground (which is the best thing ever :o) And this would explain his style of jar’kai, which is so fluid, but less reliant on Force manipulation, and more on acrobatics and blade work.
But! Both Sidious and Obi-wan can fall back on a variety of forms in their jar’kai, which is why they (and Maul) look so damn good at what they do. And Obi-wan’s devotion to Soresu (both the form and the philosophy of the form) - “The core tenets of Soresu encouraged duelists to place themselves "within the eye of the storm": to maintain a calm center, undistracted and undisturbed by the conflict around them.” (x) - is perfect for him. And I would posit that even a dark!Obi-wan would keep to this philosophy, because a dark!Obi-wan would take that anger, chain it, and make it his own - cold, and icy and controlled.
At least, until it wasn’t.
:o

Rex gets injured and Jedi reader is really worried? Fives and Echo help to calm her down
Rex gets injured and Jedi reader is really worried? Fives and Echo help to calm her downYes, hello, it is I, the Mod who absolutely didn’t mind getting carried away with this prompt-Mod Simone🌼
The wind whipped against your face as you accelerated your speeder, but still kept behind Rex ahead of you. Normally, you took charge during missions out in the field, but you had accommodated Master Kenobi’s wishes and let Rex take the lead for the moment. You had also been able to sense how Rex wanted to lead and had been all too happy to give him that small pleasure out in the field, as it was the only way you had of showing your immense, and forbidden, affection for him.
Your eyes scanned the surroundings of Saleucemi around you. You didn’t exactly expect General Grievous to hide behind a fallen log or jump out from behind a bush, lightsabers at the ready, but your training with the Jedi Order had left a lasting instinct of constant vigilance. You were distracted, reaching out with the Force to feel for Grievous’ presence in the Force around you. So engrossed were you in your concentration in searching for the General that you didn’t notice the sense of another presence, but one with the same sinister intents for the galaxy.
The snipers’ shot hit Rex dead-center, straight in his chest, and the force of it made him lurch backwards, throwing him off his speeder. You receded from the Force with a snap only you could feel and hear, much like the way a tight rubber band bounds back into shape once let go, and you made a sharp turn, panic making you jerk the wheel of your speeder around a little too quickly for it to be comfortable for you. Panic roiled in your chest, as well as blind anger at the attacker who hadn’t even been brave enough to show his face, as you broke every speeding law in charted space in order to reach Rex’s unmoving shape on the ways a way’s back.
“Help the captain!” You vaguely heard one of the other clones in your scouting party shout, but you didn’t care as you stomped down on the brake and jumped off your vehicle long before it had even stopped moving. You scrambled over to where Rex lay, fear choking you, and tore off his helmet. You cradled his face in your hands, the face you could pick out of a thousand clones lined up, even as you knew it would give you no small trouble if anyone were to see you touching anyone in that way. You struggled to suppress the urge to ignite your lightsaber and hunt down those, most likely some type of droid, who had made the smoking hole in the middle of his breastplate.
“Jesse, you better get back here…” You heard Kix speak into his comm as he hurried towards you and you reluctantly, but quickly pulled your hands away from Rex’s face. You couldn’t resist whispering a few words to him that you knew Kix wouldn’t hear as he sprinted towards you after disembarking his speeder, gentle reminders of stolen kisses in dimly lit hallways, brushes against each other in narrow passages and the many times you had almost given him a heart attack rushing on ahead and how it wasn’t fair for him to get back at you like that.
“How bad?” Jesse asked, as he too came to kneel beside Rex.
“Pretty bad.” Kix frowned down at Rex and you inwardly cursed yourself for your fascination with your Master Windu’s newly rediscovered Vaapad combat-form instead of using the Force for healing and the direct aid of others. “I need to remove his armor to see the full extent of the damage.”
“Those snipers might’ve called for backup.” Hardcase suggested grimly and you gave him a dark look.
“Have they been destroyed?”
“I didn’t catch that, sir.”
“I said-“ You had to make a conscious effort to rein your emotional turmoil in again. “The snipers, have they been destroyed.”
“Yes sir.”
“Good.” You gave Hardcase a curt nod and looked down at Rex again, your heart twisting painfully in your chest. “We need to move. Unless we wanna get picked off by that backup you mentioned. We have to find some cover and quickly.”
“Sir, I believe those things are domesticated.”
“What things?” You followed where Jesse pointed, to two spindly legged animals approaching them, drawn by the loud noises and the interesting new people. Had they been wild beasts, they would have shied away instead of sought them out.
“So?” Kix shrugged.
“I think we’re on farmland. And where there’s a farm… there’s usually a farmer.” Jesse wagged a finger at Kix and you could barely contain the crushing sense of relief that washed over you.
“Thank the Force.” You breathed, but then cleared your throat and handed out orders again as the clones looked to you. “We need to hurry. We don’t want to be out here in an alien planet in them idle of the night.” You glanced down at Rex and a fierce protectiveness surged through you. “Let’s find us a farmer.”
XXX
You could do nothing but a poor attempt at meditation as Kix tended to Rex in the barn, removing his armor and mumbling lightly to himself about medication, bacta and kolto and whatnot. If Jesse or Hardcase noticed how thoroughly horrible your halfhearted attempt at easing your own mind was, they didn’t comment.
The farm you had found was owned by a rather suspicious twi’lek. The first thing she had done was point a rifle right at you, but with the help of the clones, you had been able to persuade her to let you stay in the barn for the night, even as she ushered her two small children away from you. You thought you had gotten a strange sense of unease from her, particularly when the clones took off their helmets to persuade her to let them stay, but your mind had, and still was, unable to focus on anything other than how the eyes of the love of your life had rolled back into his head and how his tanned skin had already gotten a pale, unhealthy pallor.
Your head jerked upwards as you heard the unmistakable voice of a clone exclaiming something rather loudly outside, but Rex, Kix, Jesse and Hardcase were all inside the barn with you. You got to your feet as you heard the twi’lek say something back and you hurried out of the barn, seeing that two more clones had arrived. Your host had her rifle pointed at them, her voice rising in anger.
“Ma’am, I told you, we got a message via our commlink that our captain had been wounded and we-“
“Fives! Echo!” You hurried forwards, your lengthy training in diplomacy kicking in as you sought to prevent the situation from excalating. It looked as though the twi’lek had already strained the limits of her usual hospitably by allowing your original group to stay; adding two more would have to be handled rather carefully.
“You’re here-“
“General (Y/L/N).” Fives and Echo snapped to attention and you greeted them with a pitiful jerk of a nod.
“You made it.”
“General (Y/L/N), you’re… not looking so good.” Fives stated awkwardly and Echo elbowed him with his rifle.
“Rough night.” You tried to brush it off, but you knew that there was a good chance that Fives had picked up that your feelings for his captain went a bit deeper than the platonic kind. If Fives knew, he most likely had told Echo about it as well.
“How bad is it, General?” Asked Echo and you gave him an exhausted look.
“Bad.” Your voice came dangerously close to cracking on that one word alone. Your conversation was brought to an end as your host cleared her throat loudly and you reluctantly turned to face her.
“I suppose this means there will be two more of your troopers in my barn for the night?”
“Yes.” You confirmed. “We apologize for the inconvenience.”
“’Inconvenience’? Captain Rex was sho-“ You stomped down hard on Fives’ foot and he yelped, jumping backwards.
“Now, if you’ll excuse us…” You grabbed the clones by the scruff and hauled them over towards the barn, away from the twi’lek, who you suspected was growing rather irritated with the sudden flood of visitors.
“General, could we have a word?” Fives asked just as they were nearing the barn, but still out of earshot of both their fellow clones and the owner of the farm. You felt a stab of impatience, wanting to get back to the man you loved as quickly as possible, but you forced it down and nodded, turning around and trying to maintain an authoritative exterior, despite your shaking hands and your frayed nerves. You knew that your old Master would have told you to recite the Jedi Code ten times for that alone.
“Uh…“ Echo started eloquently.
“Well?”
“We’re not just your troopers, General. We’re also your friends.” You blinked at Fives in surprise, confused as to what had brought that on.
“Of course.” You agreed slowly. “Yes, you are, but may I ask why you felt the sudden need to declare that?” Fives and Echo glanced at each other.
“The Captain’ll make it, sir.” Echo blurted out abruptly and you raised your eyebrows at him.
“I know.” You muttered, rubbing your hands and bouncing on your feet. You glanced at the small barn.
“He’ll be fine, sir. Captain Rex has made it through worse things than that.”
“Has he?” You whispered to yourself and you jumped when you felt pat you on the shoulder.
“We clones are resilient.”
“Oh, I know.” You blurted out. You would have been able to pass it off as a simple comment, had it not been for the slight blush that rose in your cheeks as you thought back on the times Rex had proved his ‘resilience’.
Echo cleared his throat loudly and made an odd comment about the weather out of the blue and Fives started whistling as the door of the barn slid open. Kix stuck his head out of it and you were immediately on high alert, your overthinking mind immediately jumping to the worst of conclusions.
“He’s awake.” Kix called and you felt your lungs deflate like balloons. Kix gave her a pointed look. “He’s asking for you, General.” Without another word, you rushed forwards and past Kix, stopping in your tracks when you saw Rex, looking haggard and pale, but alive. He was lying on the bench Kix had been treating him on, with a large patch covering the upper half of his bare chest.
You were positive that you had never been as relieved as you were the moment when you looked in to his eyes again.
