One trope I actually like, especially for queer couples, is when, before they get together, one of them is aware of their feelings and their queerness. Like they’ve slowly figured it out and learned to live with it. And the other one realizes suddenly. There is definitely some panic over this huge revelation, and they turn to the other person for comfort.

Everytime I see a piece of media talk about the need of an extremely powerful love, and the love ends up being platonic, my heart grows three sizes.

the damsel in distress trope is a classic trope in good storytelling for a reason, it will never not be a part of good storytelling
+ heck, even sometimes the Heroes themselves have Damsel moments
+ and, some of the best Damsels become the Hero themselves later on
+Take for example, Sarah Connor, need I say more?

The only thing I took away from watching Miraculous is that the absolute drama of having A being in love with B, but B being in love with A's alter ego is made infinitely better when both are costumed heroes/villains.

OBSESSED with weird bonding things. Those little things that someone close to you does that you don’t realize are a weird way of them showing their love.
Bonus points if it’s an established relationship and someone else clarifies it that that’s a show of affection and it changes EVERYTHING. Because now what was just a mildly odd quirk you finally see was them saying ily ily ily.
Bonus points if it has something to do with them being a hybrid or having animalistic characteristics.
Bonus points if they’ve been doing it the whole time you’ve known them, so you have no idea that it’s special and not just the way they are with everyone. Bonus points if that’s the confession. They’ve been saying I love you forever, but you just didn’t know it yet.
Bonus points if it’s not a romantic relationship.

lovers to enemies to lovers, where somewhere along the way a misunderstanding leading to a betrayal happens, or they find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict, but in the end their love is stronger than factions or ideals
Ooooooooooof good trope. Love me some angst, some painful misunderstandings, some bitter and building resentment and anger before that sweet, sweet reconciliation. (Preferably with a 'don't you dare die on me', or 'I can't lose you now' + tearful 'before it's too late' confession scene (where they don't die and live to reunite) if the conflict involves some kind of combat holy shit...) ugh give me a 100k word story with this immediately haha.

something about when goodness isn’t rewarded in fiction. something about when a character makes the selfless, noble, honorable choice, the choice that, in a fair world, would result in their triumph that instead is their downfall. something about a character not regretting it. the right choice was still right, and they’d make it again. something about the incorruptibility of it all

One of my favorite angst-ridden tropes, especially if I feel like crying, when done right at least, and is not an abrupt, out of nowhere plot twist for shock value, would have to be the protagonist finding out the companion they've made throughout their journey has been a spirit the entire time, probably killed by the antagonist they're running from long before the both of them even met, but the spirit wanted to make sure at least one of them got out alive.
It is the perfect definition of "right person, wrong time," whether platonic or romantic, with a lovers' relationship, best friends, surrogate siblings or parent-child relationships, either one, because you know if they'd met while both were still alive, they would have loved each other, and possibly had so much more to their story beside the so soon end awaiting when they finish this chapter. They can't even say they lost them if they were already gone before they knew each other. There was never a chance because it was always too late.
