So idk if I’m correct but I think proshipping is like pairing two characters who are either related or one of them is a minor.

Get hate because their ships involve something controversial or idk usually I just see them shipping adults with minors and not in like 15-17, usually around the ages from 0-14 child x some adult character that clearly is around the ages of 20-50. And also shiping characters that are either going from like cousins to straight up siblings, sorta like Dipper x Mabel I think (the ones from gravity falls) or stuff like Umbrella (a 9 year old child) x Beowulf (a man around like 40 years old idk) so yeah—

Yeah, that's definitely where it started at least. Some people will apply it to things like "you ship the good guy with the bad guy, which is bad" or "you like yanderes and toxic relationships"

Like I personally find incest and paedophilic shipping/fics distasteful and if I were the supreme godruler of the universe who controlled everything then no one would want to write that stuff, but crucially I think the world would suck if I (or anyone else, for that matter) was the supreme godruler of the universe who controlled everything.

But also like... if someone's horny for kids and their options are:

a) read underage fic

b) engage in consensual ageplay with an adult partner

c) repress their desires until they eventually snap and take it out on a real child

Then yeah, I'd much rather option a or b to option c. And some people seem to think there's an option d where if you shame people for it enough and they hate themselves enough then the desires will go away. But that eventually ends up back at option c. It's the Catholic line of thinking which is part of how the church ended up with so many paedophilia issues (along with other structural issues, of course).

okay like i did already post abt it back when i first saw the post but i shld probably give context to the characters

so the nahilou in question is referring to nahida x nilou and like

this is nahida? godruler of a nation and 500 years old yes, but she has the same body type as other little kid characters in game like klee (approximately 5-7 we dont get much confirmation but her writing makes her very childish) and qiqi (canonically 8) and sayu (10-12 iirc)

already you might be thinking "wow that seems pretty solid" but i gotta drive home how much nahida is presented as a Child despite her fountain of wisdom in her brain bc shes the goddess of wisdom

also her line about nilou is literally normal. like oh nilou is a dancer and i wanted to ask to watch her dance but she got intimidated bc im the GodRuler Of The Country theres literally nothing here even putting aside the age aspect whyyyyyyyyy

by contrast nilou doesnt have much confirming her age but

she is old enough to be employed at a theatre company, as well as having flashbacks to learning from a different performer as a child. her in game body type is shared with characters who range a lot in terms of (unconfirmed) age but like most generously you could view her as a teen which would still make the above post incredibly deranged

but this excerpt from her character page implies shes been at the theatre for a while, so i personally think shes in her 20s
