yes depression is real, but so is God.

depression, all hopelessness. helplessness. the agony of sorrow. not feeling like myself. the feeling of never measuring up. the disappointment. the buildup of frustration. the weariness. the unknown tears. the spiral of negativity. the dark cloud was over me. the weight was heavy.

It was all there, but the weight of God’s marvelous glory and Spirit was more.

The safest place to be was just on my knees.

All I could give was my “be still” and let the tears fall, all I had was my weaknesses to give you.

Yet you took that and used it for Your glory. That in the midst of our deepest pains you are present. you were there carrying me and grace each day you gave me.

Depression may be real, but so are you. You are more higher, than our seemingly great thoughts.

Your ways are not my ways.

Your thoughts are not thoughts.

For your ways are greater than my own.

For your thoughts are higher than my own.

Isaiah 55:11

Keep humbling yourself before Him, keep going to your secret place even when you don’t feel his presence near. Keep praying, even with just being still and acknowledging Him. He is close to you.

He is more than feelings, God is a reality.

The de Young Museum is located in Golden Gate Park. It exhibits American art from the 17th century to the present, international modern art, textiles, and tribal art. The modernist copper-clad building, created by Herzog and de Meuron and Fong and Chan, is expected to oxidize over time and take on a greenish tone and a texture to mimic the park’s eucalyptus trees. It opened in 2005. Featured: One of a “Pair of Sphinxes” , circa 1912 • Concrete • Arthur Putnam • These sphinxes replaced the original pair commissioned from Arthur Putnam for the entrance to the Fine Arts Building of the 1894 California Midwinter International Exposition. The building's Egyptian Revival architecture reflected a fascination with ancient Egypt, inspired by archaeological discoveries such as the 1858 excavation of the Great Sphinx at Giza. The architecture also reinforced the perception of a continuous link between the cultural accomplishments of ancient Egyptian civilization and those of Europe and America. Although the Egyptian Revival building was demolished in 1929 and replaced by a succession of new museum structures, the sphinxes remain, marking the origins of the de Young museum. Tiny headcanon addition; I said I’d keep the Master canon divergent from End of Time onward BUT I’m so gonna include those bits from Lords and Masters where he chokes Rassilon to death by stuffing his throat full of white-point stars - which apparently had been so cruel and painful that the bloody Sisterhood of Karn (of all people) stepped in to help ease Rassilon’s regeneration. Also that the Master blows up parts of the citadel and then is locked up in Gomer’s Asylum before he ultimately escapes.

I’m a wretched sinner, but Jesus.

It was Jesus that took me in.

He didn’t see me in perfection.

He didn’t see the many trophies I won,

good education I had.

But Jesus saw the broken in me.

I was undeserving, bitter inside, prideful, a

disappointment, lonely, full of myself, insecure.

I was dirty, wearing filthy rags.

But Jesus, he took me in and let me sit at His

table. He gave me new, white robes and put on

my filthy rags instead.

And I said…

“Thank you. But Jesus how can I repay you?”

He said,

“Come, follow me…”

The Mechanics Monument, is a bronze sculpture group by Douglas Tilden, located at the intersection of Market, Bush and Battery Streets in San Francisco, California, United States. The 21 feet (6.4 m) high Bronze and granite monument is dated with the Roman Numerals MDCCCXCIX (1899) but the actual completion date was the 30th of March 1901. When originally erected in 1901, it was the center of a fountain, but following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, the basin was eliminated.
