For Hop, I feel like he's to focus on beating Leon and becoming the champion that sometimes he forgets all about you, so sometimes you overthink and starts to feel insecure, but of course best boy Hop here will always tell you that you are still one of his top priorities

Volo :: Physical Touch

I see him as a very flirty man. Yeah, thats the only reason

Arven :: Quality Time

Since when he was little, he never spend time with his parents, he'll probably wanna spend all his time with you so replace that emty slot in his heart where his parents shouldve been

Gladion :: Acts of Service

Tho his family is rich, he doesn't wanna be associated with his family at all, so he rarely gives you gifts. But I still think he'll like to do nice things for you, like maybe, playing with your pokemon if you're busy, taking care if you when you're not feeling well, etc

Like, absolutely refuses

No way is he risking the Grunts seeing him

It takes a lot of determination on your end to get him to change his mind

And even then, there were conditions for him to agree

Number one: he will only do this at your house

Number two: you will not tell anyone you’re hanging out (especially Hau) so that there’s no interruptions

Number three: they have to be the strawberry flavoured ones

It’s kinda funny how serious he’s taking this

And you make a small joke that it’s just a biscuit eating challenge, not a battle

You get a glare for that

But you can tell he’s not mad

Just embarrassed

If you had to guess, it’s because he’s nervous about possibly kissing you

Yes, you are dating

But you are very aware that he hasn’t kissed anyone before

Neither have you, but you’re less anxious about it

And of course

It inevitably happens

It’s pretty much the point of the challenge, even if that wasn’t why you personally wanted to do it

It’s a very quick kiss

Short and sweet

Gladion momentarily freezes when it happens

But once you two have sat staring at each other for a minute or so

He smiles

“that… wasn’t so bad.”

isn’t opposed to it

But doesn’t really see the point

If you wanna kiss him, just ask?

Or do the thing where you hug his side and tilt your head up at him

He'll happily kiss you

But when you say that you just think the idea is cute, he agrees

If it’ll make you happy, then fine

He even gets the matcha pocky for you, since that’s your favourite

Will sit in his chair with you on his lap

Cause his chair means POWER

Sends the Grunts out though (even though they’ve seen you two be affectionate before)

Purposely bites half of the biscuit in one go, just to speed up the process and get his kiss

Shrugs when you tell him that it’s not fair

“Guess you just have to try again then, huh babes?”

The female Grunts had been talking about the challenge for a while

And it made her curious

Normally she’s reserved in affection around others

Hugs are fine, sometimes a kiss on the cheek

But she figures it’s relatively harmless to give one quick kiss to you

Plus, she wants one of the Grunt girls to video it for her

She can be sentimental sometimes!

Plus it’s just generally a cute idea

She picks the oreo pocky, and gives a (very trusted) Grunt her phone

Then pulls you over

A quick explanation of the challenge, and you’re happy enough to do it

1…2…GO!

You end up pretty equal in terms of bites taken

And when the kiss happens, she holds your hand

It’s a very rare moment of her being soft in front of the others

“Hey, I can be sweet too! Don’t just stare at me, dummy…”

Aged up Gladion x Non-Binary Reader

Prompt - Stargazing

You sat on a cliff.

Your feet were swinging back and forth off the ledge. You were looking onto the Horizon as the moon rose in the sky. Stars were shimmering and the moon was glowing over the ocean that was below the cliff.

The waves crashed against the cliff, the wind blew the leaves in the tree. The wind blew your hair and you loved it. Though as you glanced towards Gladion, who was sitting right next to you, he didn’t seem to like the wind.

It blew his bangs all over his face and he spent every few minutes moving it back. You found it funny and cute. You were hanging out with Gladion before he left to do his next Trial.

You missed hanging out with Gladion.

He was your best friend and maybe secret crush. But don’t tell him. He doesn’t need to know that. So you and him were star gazing. It was a peaceful and funny activity. Especially with the Alolan stars.

They shined brighter than any other stars. Well you didn’t know that, you’ve never left Alola. But you were that these stars were still some of the best. You spent time naming constellations that you saw while catching up with Gladion.

Gladion had some fun stories from his travels though all of the islands. It was kinda hard talking to Gladion. You really wanted to confess to him, you wanted to travel with him.

You missed talking with him, you missed having Pokemon Battles with him, you missed him. But Gladion wasn’t really focused on relationships.

So you kept it a secret from everyone. If other people knew, especially your guy friends, they would try to get you two together.

You didn’t want that.

If you got together with Gladion you wanted it to be because you did it. Not because you got locked in a closet or something. You looked up from the moon rising and looked at the sky. The stars shimmer, looking like lights in the sky.

Nothing was in the sky except the stars and the moon.

You were looking around the sky. Sometimes the stars left you mesmerized. You looked from the sky to Gladion. He was also looking at the sky. His side was turned to you so you were looking at his bangs.

But you still thought he looked good.

He was visibly relaxed and calm. You were happy that Gladion felt comfortable around you. Gladion was sitting the same way you were. With his legs hanging off the cliff. But they weren’t swinging back and forth like yours were.

When you looked over you caught the sight of your Pokémon. Your Pokémon seems to be cuddling with Gladion’s Umbreon.

It seems they have their relationship figured out. Meanwhile, you're blushing every time Gladion smiles.

Great.

You looked back at the sky, “you know”, Gladion looked at you when you spoke. “The stars sure are beautiful”, you looked over at Gladion.

You and Gladion made eye contact and you blushed slightly. You were happy that it was dark, Gladion couldn’t see your blush that well.

“But there nothing compared to the stars I see in your eyes”. You were looking at Gladion’s eyes when you said that. He really did have stars in his eyes. And they were more beautiful than any other star.

Gladion blushed deeper than you and turned away. He turned his head so all you could see were his bangs. This wasn't the first time you’ve flirted with Gladion. But so far he has yet to get the hint.

Gladion glared at the ground. Unbeknownst to you Gladion had a crush on you too. He just didn’t know what to do about it. Lillie knew but she kept it a secret, under her brother's request.

Gladion didn’t know what to do when you flirted with him. Did he flirt back? Can Gladion even flirt? Does he thank you? That just seems wrong. What was he supposed to do? Gladion didn’t know, so he did nothing.

Gladion just blushed and looked away.

By the time Gladion thought of something to do it was the wrong time. You looked at Gladion and glanced down. His hand was resting back side up on the ground. You moved your hand to rest yours on top of his.

You faltered but you did it.

You placed your hand on top of Gladion’s and linked your fingers around his hand. Gladion did the same, linking your hands.

Neither of you said anything.

But you looked back at the stars. They seemed dimmer after you saw Gladion’s eyes. Since you looked away, you missed Gladion looking at you.

With a small smile on his face.

Gladion is an edgy teenager, everyone knows. He has reason to be, with his mother, and how he grew up. That doesn't mean he doesn't annoy people, however. You're included in that. Gladion's attitude and snark and insults towards you, one of his Pokémon rivals, drives you up the wall. But you give back what you get, throwing Gladion for a loop and making him hate you more

You two battle endlessly. It's never guaranteed who will win, and whoever does always rubs it in. Hau and Lillie both have kept you from fist fighting one another several time. Even your Pokémon have it on sight, attacking one another if they catch sight of one another. Null and your ace are mortal enemies, the same as their trainers

However, as the Island Challenge progresses, and nefarious things about the Aether Paradise become revealed, you feel bad for getting on Gladion's case so much. His anger isn't his fault, and he's yet to learn how to healthily deal with it. So you give him battles unlike those he's ever seen. They wear him and his Pokémon out, whether he wins or not, and afterwards he's usually calmer than before

Gladion doesn't understand your shift in attitude. You're no longer as curt, not like he is. You tease and such, but it's more playful than before. Gladion's own bite gets less harsh as well, until you're. . . friends? Gladion doesn't seem annoyed with your presence anymore, and he seems to relax when you bicker and battle. If he loses, he's not as angry, and if he wins, he doesn't boast half as much, except to tease. It's. . . nice

Until everything explodes. You and Lillie go into Ultra Space to save Guzma and Lusamine. Gladion is beside himself the entire time. Hau has never seen him so upset, for not only is his little sister in another dimension, but you are too. He's knows you're strong, but what if it's not enough? What if his mother hurts you? Or that beast? He worries incessantly. And when you return, victorious, he actually hugs you, and Lillie too.

After that, your relationship evolves, slowly but surely. Gladion has issues to work through, which he is. And you, you're so patient. You hold his hand when he spirals, and bring him to the real world, where he's okay, and he's with friends, family. And he's happy.

Standing on the beach together, holding your hand, Gladion feels at peace. He watches Silvally play with your ace along the coast, and feels your lips brush his cheek. He blushes bright red, scolding you for doing that without warning, but at your accusation, he can't say he hated it, or hates you. You're his weakness.

Anyways, I hope this is considered to be fluff! There’s a hint of angst near the end for both characters. Hope it’s enjoyable!

Gladion

✨ He is what you’d call a tsundere. Gladion has never been in a romantic relationship before, so he has no idea how to confess or even what to do when the two of you start dating

✨ Incredibly awkward, please show him some patience. He’ll gain the confidence to show affection after a while. But he doesn’t do PDA. Gladion prefers to show his affection in private. Kinda ruins the whole edgy teen thing he’s got going on

✨ Type: Null/Silvally pushes its trainer towards you very often. It’s probably why Gladion even got the courage to ask you out! Unless you did it first, then Null/Silvally gave you the opportunity!

✨ If you have a close relationship with your parents, Gladion gets pretty envious of you, but he doesn’t say a thing. He wants what you have. But he doesn’t want you to feel guilty about having a good bond with your parents. But it’s kind of obvious that he wishes his mother could be like your parents…

✨ But if you have a close relationship with your siblings, it reminds him of Lillie. He definitely introduced you two while you were friends/at the very start of your relationship. Gladion sometimes talks about his childhood with his sister if you bring up stories about you and your siblings

Arven

✨ Very much like Gladion: has never been in a relationship before, pretty awkward, kind of gets jealous about the bond you have with your parents… but there’s differences!

✨ He gets very flustered with PDA, but he doesn’t mind it. He lives for the affection you give him. But the most he could do is a quick peck on the cheek and hand holding. After a while, he gets used to it and gets more affectionate with you in public

✨ Often shows his love for you through cooking! Arven makes you breakfast, lunch, dinner, literally anything for you to eat. Consider it a thank you for showing him so much love! Cooking is something he does best. He’ll find herba mystica to make your sandwich more delicious if you’re not satisfied with the way it tastes

✨ While he’s not entirely envious with the close bond you have with your parents, he gets a tad jealous with the way they love you. Makes him think about how his mother/father could’ve been like that.. but those thoughts quickly disappear if your parents show that they care for him too

✨ But with siblings? Yeah, he gets more jealous over that. Arven is an only child, the only one who was there for him was Mabosstiff. If he had siblings, he’d have someone to talk to. Someone he could call his family… But alas, it’s just him. Maybe if things were different, he didn’t have to grow up so lonely

Gladion x Reader

(prep school AU)

It was Y/n's first day of school and also her first time seeing her friend Gladion in a while. She walked into the school and asked for her dorm number, key, and schedule. The receptionist gladly gave her the things she needed and gave her some directions. Y/n walked up the stairs and passed many people who just stared at her like she was an alien. She finally got to her dorm and knocked on the door before opening it. 

"Hey- Gladion?!" Y/n exclaimed

"Y/n!? What are you doing in my dorm!" 

"What are you doing in my dorm?!" 

The two friends both stopped for a second but then embraced each other.

"Oh I see you two already know each other" A lady announced causing to the pair to separate from each other

"So you're both probably confused but you two will be sharing a dorm despite your genders because of an uneven amount of female and male students and a lack of dorms, we already talked to your parents about this and since they know you two are friends they signed off" The older woman walked into the room 

Once everything was situated the woman left leaving Gladion and Y/n alone.

"So, it's been a while hasn't it" Y/n awkwardly broke the silence in the room

"Yeah... you look a lot different" Gladion told her

"So do you" 

"Wanna battle?" Gladion asked

"Yeah sure it'll be just like old times... the old times when I would always win" Y/n said mischievously

"We'll see about that Y/n" 

Gladion led her out of the dorm and the two made their way out of the school. On the way they were met with stares from the other students and glares from Gladion's fangirls. They made their way out to the schools battle field and go to opposite sides from each other.

"You ready to lose Gladion" Y/n teased bringing out her Altaria

"Pffft- I won't be the one losing" Gladion told her while bringing out his Lycanroc

People started gathering around the sides to see the two battle. 

"You can have the first move" Y/n offered

"Alright then. Lycanroc use rock throw" 

"Altaria dodge it and use dragon dance"

Y/n's Altaria swiftly dodged rock throw and successfully did dragon dance 

"Lycanroc use stone henge" Gladion's Lycanroc was fast enough to do some damage on Y/n's pokemon

"You can do this Altaria, when you're ready use fury attack" Y/n exclaimed

Y/n's Altaria eventually won to Gladion's dismay. Y/n did a celebratory dance and then she made her way to Gladion.

"Good job Gladion!" Y/n congratulated him

"Looks like I underestimated you" Gladion said

"You really did" Y/n bragged while beginning to head back to the dorms

"Yeah I'll beat you next time" Gladion told her

They headed back to their dorm and got ready for bed. Y/n was brushing her hair and Gladion was winding down and playing some games on his phone. Y/n had decorated her side of the dorm and their sides were very contradictory. Her side is very elegant and blue while Gladion's was very punk. They were chit chatting until a boy came bursting into their dorm making them both sit up.

"Gladion holy- wait whose this" A kid with green hair almost screamed as he entered

"That's Y/n Hau she's my roommate, now why are you screaming" Gladion groaned

"Your sister has a boyfriend!" 

Y/n gasped.

"No she doesn't Hau" 

"Gladion you didn't tell me Lillie also goes to school with us" Y/n whined

"Well I'll take you to her dorm and you can see her!" Hau suggested totally forgetting everything he was just screaming about

"Yeah let's go" Y/n jumped out of her bed and walked over to Hau

Gladion got up to follow the two just to make sure they don't cause any accidents

Hau walked Y/n over to Lillie's dorm which she shared with a girl named Bee. He knocked on the door and waited for one of the girls to open it. Bee came to the door and stared up at the older kids at the door.

"Lillie your brother and he friends are here" Bee called for Lillie

Lillie came to the door and Bee whispered something to Lillie before she went back into the dorm.

"Hey guys- Y/n?!" Lillie exclaimed

"Hey Lillie" Y/n smiled

The four had a lovely chat and Lillie does not have a boyfriend, Hau was wrong. Eventually they had to go back to their dorms for lights out. When Y/n and Gladion got into their dorm Y/n immediately got into her bed. Gladion was going to stay up a bit longer and Y/n was already asleep. About an hour went by and Gladion finally got tired. He walked over to Y/n's bed and made sure she was ok and kissed her head and regretted that decision because Y/n smiled and quickly sat up and started laughing. 

"Thanks for the goodnight kiss Gladion" Y/n was still laughing but she stood up and kissed Gladion's cheek

~~In Lillie and Bee's dorm~~

"You think Gladion and Y/n will date Bee?" Lillie asked petting her Alolan Vulpix she calls Snowy

"Yeah Gladion seemed fond of her, he's never fond of anybody normally" Bee responded petting her Espurr (Espurr is my favorite Pokemon)

"I never really talk about this stuff but do you have a crush?" 

"No... maybe, crushes are a waste of time I wanna find true love after school Lillie" Bee explained

"Makes sense...wait you said"maybe" so you do like someone!"

~~In the morning~~

Y/n woke up to Gladion's alarm which she was not happy about. Y/n groaned and put her pillow over her head and ears. Gladion sat up and shut off the alarm. He got up fairly quick but Y/n was still in her bed. 

"Y/n wake up we have school" Gladion told her

"Nooooo" Y/n whined

"Such a child" Gladion mumbled

"Hey! I am not a child!" Y/n retorted 

Y/n finally decided to listen to Gladion and get up. She grabbed her stuff and headed to the shared bathroom to get ready. She put on her uniform except for the blazer but she added some shorts underneath her skirt (because if she's like me and her bottom makes it to where skirts are too short on her butt... it's a curse), did her hair, and walked out of the bathroom to put on her socks and shoes. 

"You have shorts under that skirt right?" Gladion said while messing with his tie

"Yeah why?" Y/n asked

"Some of the boys here will try to look up your skirt, I'm just making sure" Gladion said 

"Ew gross"

The two finished getting ready and packing their book bags. They started to walk down the halls to their first class to their luck they have all the same classes except for their athletic periods. (What a coincidence :0) Gladion showed her the way and just like yesterday she got stared at. Gladion was honestly scared for Y/n because kids are mean. The pair went through the day like it was nothing and when lunch came Y/n sat with Lillie and her friends. While talking and eating the so-called 'popular girls' came up to their table. It was a group of five. They were all fairly pretty and had that look to them that just screamed they're royalty in this school.

"So you're Y/n right?" A girl who looked like she was the bossiest of the bunch asked

"Yeah that's me" Y/n said with a smile

The girls introduced themselves as Musume Ronshaku, Kashiko Murasaki, Hana Daidaiyama, Kokoro Momoiro, Hoshiko Mizudori. (Yes I'm using the yandere simulator bullies)

"Why don't you come sit with us? We promise it'll be fun" 

Y/n looked to the people she was sitting with for confirmation and the girls nodded at her Y/n stood up with her lunch and the girl who asked her name linked arms with her (probably a Melanie Martinez reference *cough* Lunchbox friends *cough*) They lead Y/n to another table where their stuff was Y/n was sat right beside Musume.

"So Y/n how's your first day been?" Kokoro asked

"It's been alright Gladion has really been a major help" Y/n replied

"Already stealing boys hearts I see, I mean you're a pretty girl I can see how someone could fall for you" Kashiko remarked

"I mean I'm not that pretty and me and Gladion are only friends I've known him forever y'know" Y/n told them

Y/n spent the rest of lunch with those girls and they eventually got her number and social media account names and Y/n felt like she actually made some friends. When lunch was over she went to her next class and waited for Gladion. The rest of the day went by fairly easy and they got to relax for the rest of the day until bed time.

"So did you make any friends?" Gladion asked

"Yeah I did these girls came up to me during lunch they all had blonde hair and tan skin but they all had different color streaks in their hair" Y/n described the girls and Gladion became concerned

"Y/n I'm not saying not to be friends with them but be careful I won't boss you around but I will try to help you"

Y/n and Gladion walked back to their dorm so they could change into something more comfortable. Y/n went into the bathroom to change and Gladion changed in their room. They changed and decided to go play in the field with their pokemon.

Months went by like minutes and years like days. Y/n and Gladion graduated with almost no problems and Y/n even won prom queen which was a huge shock to her. They were now living as roommates in their own apartment. I guess some things never change. Gladion and Y/n did eventually start dating thanks to Lillie and Hau and today was their 1 year dating anniversary.

Y/n woke up to the sun shining through the window and immediately remembered that it's their anniversary. She looked at Gladion who was sleeping beside her. 'God he's so pretty' she said to herself. She decided to get up and make breakfast so she did. She walked to the kitchen and turned on the coffee pot. She got out a frying pan trying to be as quiet as possible. Her Altaria came into the room to greet Y/n.

"Good Morning, Altaria" Y/n said getting some eggs out of the fridge and setting them on the counter. She turned on the burner and cracked the eggs into the pan.

"Good morning Y/n" Gladion said shuffling out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. He walked to Y/n and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind resting his head on her shoulder.

"Good morning Gladion" Y/n chirped

Y/n was a morning person and Gladion was not. They're opposite additudes, styles, preferences made them a great match.

Y/n continued making breakfast and Gladion clung to her the whole time even when she walked around to turn if the coffee pot, grab plates, but bread into the toaster.

They spent the rest of their morning lounging around until Gladion fully woke up.

Y/n was watching some TV while laying on the couch with the pokemon until Gladion crawled to lay on top of her with his head on her chest. Y/n laughed at his cuddly behavior. They both fell asleep fairly quickly because I'm tired of writing this oneshot.

When he’s much MUCH older he would need to warm up to the idea but would be okay with it in the end. For awhile he’s scared of ending up like his mom in anyway.

Absolutely. He has a hard time showing it all the time but he absolutely will show you how appreciative he is of you.

No. He’s very honest. He believes honesty is key to a relationship.

• Of course they were rivals, and he wanted to surpass her, but she is the first person who made battling seem fun for him, rather then just a means to survive and get stronger

• Of course getting stronger was his main goal, but each time they battled one another, Gladion finally understood how a pokemon battle can be fun, especially when it's with a friend, and how battling a strong opponent you respect will only make you steonger

• As they got older, Gladion realised he had complicated feelings for Moon, that he didn't really understand himself

• He was convinced these feelings he had for Moon was just admiration, after all she's the strongest trainer in Alola

• Hau and Lillie can see how obvious his feelings are for her, despite being oblivious himself

It’s been around a year since I became the champion of Alola, and a year since Gladion became the Aether Foundation president. We also started dating shortly after we claimed our respective roles. We were both often busy doing our own thing, but every once in a while, we would meet up to spend quality time together. Otherwise, we would try our best to get in contact with each other during the little free time we had.

However, from the past few months, Gladion has gotten much busier with his duties as president, so our brief catch-ups via text and phone calls became less frequent, up to a few weeks ago where he stopped contacting me all together. Of course, I’m also busy with my own duties as champion, but as time passes with zero response from him, my mind has been getting more clouded with his absence. It’s for the best if I don’t nag him and let him focus on his work. I’ve also been refraining myself from going to Aether Foundation to check up on him in person, although occasionally, I’ve been asking Wicke on how things have been with him. It was always something like “He’s had to deal with several different responsibilities everyday.” I would also tell her that I trust her to look after him in the meantime, but even so, knowing how reckless and dedicated Gladion is when it comes to accomplishing his goals, I bet he hasn’t been eating or sleeping much…

It’s been almost three months since I’ve last seen him in person. I’m normally content with just texting or calling him regularly, but not being able to play with his soft blonde hair, not being able to stare deeply into his eyes, not being able to melt into his touch — I miss it all so much. I miss him so goddamn much. Whether you wanna see it as deep love or borderline obsession, it’s almost impossible for me to live on normally without it lingering in my mind 24/7.

I mostly have it all together, but it doesn’t help that I’m ultimately just a teenager who tends to get very emotional, sometimes feeling a certain fiery sensation that can’t easily be put out. I’m greeted by the owner with a gentle smile. “Welco— Oh! Champion [y/n]! What brings you here today?” I nod and smile weakly at her. “Hi. I… just wanted to check something in one of your motel rooms. Do… do you remember the blonde boy who had stayed here up until a year ago?” I stand kinda awkwardly as she thinks for a moment. What am I doing? “Oh, him! The boy who stayed here for two years? My, he sure was a mysterious one. Do you know him?” She looks at me curiously. I stammer, “Y-yes. She offers the key for the room to me. “No one is staying in there at the moment, so you can take a look in there. I trust that you won’t make a mess in there haha!” I grab the key from her hand and nod, “thank you kindly.” Just as I’m about to turn around and walk out, she suddenly says, “um also, you… don’t look too well. Are you feeling okay?” I pause for a moment, a little caught off guard. Before I put any thought into it, I retort, “I… I’m fine, thank you. Just a bit tired from all the matches I’ve been having lately. It’s… also quite hot today so I probably look a little sweaty haha…” Her concerned expression remains unchanged but she replies, “o… okay… I hope you find the lost thing for your boyfriend. Say hi to him for me.” I only nod in response with a weaker smile. Jeez what is wrong with me?

As soon as I close the door behind me, I stumble my way hastily to Gladion’s former room a little too quickly, fumbling the door handle to unlock it, and bust inside before anyone else sees how much of a mess I am right now. The room is silent and empty. Of course it is. I look around slowly yet frantically, feeling slightly light-headed. Is it the heat, or am I just really tired? What… what am I doing here again? My eyes find a mirror to the right of the room, reflecting my pathetic, slouched posture. God I really do look awful.

My head whips to the bed in front of me. My body automatically flops upon it, slightly bouncing, face first. I groan loudly. I’m such an idiot. I peak one eye to lazily look around the room again. Looks slightly dusty in here. Seems like no one has been here for a while, yet I kinda feel at home. I’m already engulfed by the scent of the bed. Is it just me, or does it smell like him? Am I going crazy? He hasn’t been here it’s been a year of course it’s clean and not fresh with his scent.

I feel a bit more calm as the scent throws me into a trance. I unconsciously release a moan as my hands grip the sheets tightly. It’s like his scent has fully enraptured me. God, I’m hopeless. I tear up, kicking my sandals off my feet and bringing my legs close to me. I don’t care that I’m messing up the sheets at this point. I miss him so fucking much. I decided to stay away from you so I could focus on my work, yet somehow we still found our way to each other again.”

"- Yeah, my biggest dream is to surpass my grandfather, and prove him I can become the next Kahuna of Mele-Mele Island, I'll do anything to get there." Hau answered, his proud innocent smile still showing on his face.

Moon, in her case, couldn't prevent her jaw from gapping, eyes widened after his last sentence.

"- Wait, Hala is your grandfather?" She said out loud, before putting her hand on her mouth, realizing she's probably overreacting.

"- Yes, what's so surprising?" The dark green-haired man asked in a chuckle, slightly amused by Moon's reaction.

"- He once visited my boss in the lab I work in, he brought us precious stones found in Ten Carat Hill's cave that were never seen before, to analyze them, and I worked on it, I didn't know it was a request from him until he came back to thank us personally. I was almost intimidated by the humbleness he showed that day." The girl answered in a quite enthusiastic tone, a soft grin showing on her lips.

"- Grandpa's kindness makes people unable to refuse anything to him. I always admired how he got respect from others without using any sort of pressure or violence." Hau added, smiling at Moon's words. "I've spent my entire life with him, but it still impresses me every single time I observe the way he acts."

“Hey (Y/N)? When’s the last time you smiled?” Hau asked, turning to you with nearly unreadable smile.

“This morning? Just now? Why?” You blinked, confused by the question. On your otherside, you heard Gladion huff out a laugh.

“True, true, but when’s the last time you smiled?” He waggled his brows as he emphasized, making you giggle and push him away. “You know- laugh so hard your face hurts smile?”

“Hm…” You hummed, thinking about it. “Probably a few weeks ago when you feel off that boat!”

Gladion snorted, turning away with a grin. Hau gave you his famous pouty look.

“I see you.” He nodded, expression forming into one of pure mischief. “Glads? Shall we?”

“Sure. Wanna do the honors, Capsize.” Gladion gestured on, earning another pout.

“Huh? What are you- AH!” You jumped with a squeal when both of them attacked, hands poking and prodding at your sides with various results. “Aheahhahahahha! AHhehahah! Glahhahahdion, Hahhahahahu! STahahahhap ihiihihiihiht!”

“Hehe, there it is! I knew we could get you smiling!” Hau grinned, gently pushing you onto your back as his other hand worked your ribs. “Aren’t they adorable, Glads?” “Yeah, they’re cute alright.” Gladion nodded, his own hands scribbling along your belly, a warm smile on his lips as you squeaked and cackled. “Though I don’t think they’re smiling just yet.”

“I agree. This is a nice smile, but it isn’t THE smile!” Hau nodded, pulling his hands back to let you breathe. “What do you think? Time for desperate measures?”

“Whahahat?” You blinked, already sure of what's to come.

“Desperate measures for sure.” The blonde nodded in agreement. Without much warning, he quickly gathered your wrists. “Ready?”

“Whahahahit! Whahahhait, dohohohn’t you dahhahahre!” You were already laughing.

“Ready!” Hau nodded. “One, two, THREE!” On the final count, Hau ducked his head, blowing a massive raspberry against your stomach. Even with the shirt layer, it tickled like heck!

“AHHEHHAHHHAHAAA!” You squealed, struggling to break out of Gladion’s grip as Hau blew an extra raspberry against your belly. “OHOHOHOAKY OHOHOHOKAY STAHHAHAHAP!”

“Heh, listen to them, Hau. They had enough.” Gladion reached over, lightly tugging Hau’s head up by the tuff of his ponytail. The sight left you giggling like crazy, too tired to cover your face as you smiled on.

“There it is.” Hau nodded, glowing with pride. “There’s the smile I was looking for.”
