When Cameron heard that there was a mystical place in the outreaches of Glimmerbrook where she could quickly buy the necessary materials for a Sacred Ambrosia known to raise the dead, she went as soon as she could.
Awestruck by the allure of the magical realm and the eclectic spellcasters themselves, they made the decision to undergo the mind-bending process of learning to channel and use magic.
Not only would they be collecting the necessary ingredients and building the skills needed to make the life-restoring Ambrosia, but they would, from that point forward, be dedicating their life to finding a way to never leave the mortal realm again.
She went back to Sulani and completed her Beach Life aspiration, calmer than ever. From this point forward, she’d aspire to be a Purveyor of Potions, able to craft potions of immortality for her and for her family.

Take a break, it won’t kill you (all the way)
A DCxDP crossover that’s been on the back burner for a while now.
Ft. Tired Bruce, Liminal Jason, and Batfam shenanigans (eventually)
Bruce was stressed. It had been a long week. A long, stressful week that left him pulling at his hair in the Batcave while going over the footage of the source of his stress for the nth time. There was a rumor of a meta in Gotham. Bruce could put up with a meta in his city if only for a few days, but this one was sticking around for too long to just be passing through.
People could watch the monochrome, white-haired meta catch a criminal, but he was slippery around strangers who got too close too quickly, barely letting them get a word in before he would vanish.
Quite literally vanish. Invisibility was one of his many powers, and he was not shy about his disappearing act. People had seen him phase through solid objects and walls when he was stuck in a building or even, to many people’s disgust (and amusement), phase his hand into his body and pull things out (and sometimes eat the food he stored in there).
Or shoot a (sickeningly familiar green) ray from his hands or eyes, then fly off into the sky only to be seen across town mere seconds later.
That’s invisibility, phase shifting (though it could also be considered intangibility, given that he hasn't gotten enough footage to tell if he was shifting density or going completely intangible), energy beams, flight, and speed enhancement. Five powers. And he no doubt was hiding more, given Bruce’s luck.
Bruce had seen how dangerous meta’s with only one or two powers were with his own eyes. The footage of the unknown meta who distorted cameras just by appearing in view showed him using five different superpowers.
And no one could even get his name.
Yet no one but Bruce seemed to be worried about him. Nearly all of the reports were talking about this helpful new hero who does good deeds in the daytime while Batman hides inside. (Bruce was not angry about that comment, not at all).
It was either praising his crime fighting or mentioning his ‘harmless pranks’ at the end of the segment. Things like showing up to drive-throughs floating upside down or appearing in the back of classrooms randomly and pretending to be a student for a day. Which, yes, technically they were harmless, but they only served to prove more and more that he had immense power and a dangerous lack of concern for the damage he could cause to Gotham just by existing here and calling attention to himself as a new challenge to the Rogues.
(Harley seemed to like him, though. She called him ‘Ghosty’ last time she and Batman fought.)
Even Bruce’s own children barely gave the meta a second thought. Tim seemed interested in him at least, enough to go over the garbled street-cams with Bruce, but not enough to look at it with a suspicious eye. He cared about learning about him, and not investigating or stopping him.
(“Fanboying” as Tim’s boyfriend Bernard so aptly put it.)
The culmination of the past week of stress (and accidental, misplaced aggression on the Penguin), led to Superman taking him aside after a meeting in the watchtower about something he thought was inane and sitting him down in the empty kitchen.
“You need a break.” He said, with that southern, caring-brother voice he used when he didn’t need to play up his role as a superhero.
Bruce didn’t need Kent of all people to tell him that. Alfred had been trying and failing to get him to do the same. But Gotham needed someone, someone’s, to take care of her when she was being ravaged by crime. He was juggling both protecting her and dealing with the meta.
With him stressed and losing sleep, Dick, Tim, Damien, Cass, Duke and Steph were working double to cover for Batman. Even Jason had taken a break from guarding The Narrows to...well, Jason would say it was to annoy Bruce and ‘replacement’, but he knew otherwise. Jason didn’t know how to express his work-in-progress love for Bruce aside from tolerating him on shared interests or work.
“No.” Batman said, then turned to leave, cape swishing behind him. “I’m fine.”
Superman was floating in front of him in a second, blocking the exit, disapproving frown on his face. He looked so much like his stubborn mother when he pushed Bruce back to sit down it was a wonder they weren’t blood related.
“You are not fine.” When he tried to get up again, Superman pushed him down harder, enough to rattle the chair and table. “Sit. Down.”
“Hnn.” Batman’s scowl underneath his mask deepened as he sat in the chair against his will. Superman took the seat across from him.
After a little heated stare down, Superman sighed. “I’m covering Gotham for you tomorrow.”
“Go near her and I won’t hesitate to attack you.” Batman bit out before he could think. Going by the near eye-roll Superman gave, he didn’t buy it.
“I know you’re stressed about this new hero.” Superman said with a gentle tone, but only received a sharper glare.
“Meta.” He corrected testily.
Superman tsked. “Just take one day off. Batman doesn’t need to protect Gotham every second of every day, just like Superman can leave Metropolis to the other heroes if he needs to help someone in need.”
“You don’t understand.” There was no way boy scout Clark Kent would understand. Even now Gotham wasn’t safe unless Batman was there. He made to stand up, but Superman was again in front of him pushing him back down, getting visibly frustrated.
“I will be in Gotham tomorrow all day and all night.” He crossed his arms over his chest and lifted his chin for emphasis. “If I hear your heartbeat anywhere but home or see you in your suit, I will bring you to Alfred and tie you down in your bed until you get some sleep. This is not negotiable.”
“Hnn.” Batman squinted at him, scowling harder.
He hated the idea that Superman was even stepping foot in Gotham, let alone being its sole protector for an entire day, but even if Bruce didn’t think he could take a break his kids sure could use one. They were getting burnt out. Tim was drinking more coffee than usual and Dick hadn’t swung on the chandelier in days. Even if he could brush off his own physical health, his kids came first.
“Fine.”
“Good.” Superman nodded with a smirk. He must be feeling so proud that he got the Batman to agree to taking a break. “You won’t have to worry about a single thing. Just relax.” He muttered, “If you’re capable of it.”
Bruce Wayne, it turned out, was not capable of relaxing.
Not even an hour into his forced vacation, he tried to sneak into the Batcave to just look at the mission files. Alfred was waiting at the entrance, disapproving glare on his face. Bruce sulked off to try and read something again, but jumped at the chance he got when Jason said he was going to the library.
‘Family bonding’, he said. Jason rolled his eyes at him. They both knew it was his excuse to patrol without letting Superman know his intention. If he was listening for his heartbeat like he said, he would hear it with Jason’s, who he both knew was Red Hood (because of course he knew every hero’s heartbeat), and knew liked going to the library.
Clark wouldn’t know the difference between spending time with his kid and patrolling. That was how he spent time with his kids most often anyway. The joys of being the protectors of Gotham, he supposed.
Jason wasn’t pleased about his tagalong, but seemingly tolerated his presence enough to not stop him.
And it was good he came along, because in the middle of their lovely, completely silent and tense walk to the library, they witnessed a mugging. A thin man in a leather jacket was trying to pry a purse out of a lady in a yellow sundress’s hands. Both of them noticed her cries at the same time.
Immediately they sprung into action, diving across the street and through traffic to stop it before he could get away.
Bruce swore he only looked away for a second to wave sorry to a car he almost got hit by, but when he looked back, there was no longer a threat. The lady was no longer fighting to keep her belongings, the man in the leather jacket was unconscious on the ground, and a young boy was standing on top of him, chatting it up with the lady.
“Is everything alright, young lady?” Bruce ran up to her, briefly glancing her up and down for injuries she may have taken in her struggle, but thankfully found none.
He saw Jason check the man for fatal wounds or concussions. Not that he hadn’t caused any himself before, but the man didn’t deserve death for a petty crime, even Jason could agree on that.
“Oh, yes.” She said, clearly still shaken, but overall safe. She pointed at the kid, still standing on the man’s back. “He saved me.”
“Wonderful. If you’d like, I can escort you to the police station to report this.” He offered, but she shook her head.
“That’s alright Mr. Wayne, sir.” She said, “My savior will probably get into trouble if I do. I have places to be anyway. But thank you for your concern.” With that, she left.
After Jason finished checking the man, who was still underneath the kid’s feet, seemingly as to not let him get away (he was clearly unconscious, though), Bruce turned to him, a bright smile displayed.
“Thank you for-” He began, but stopped, mouth still open.
It was Thomas staring back at him.
It was his father peering into his soul.
It wasn’t exactly him, not at a second, third, or fourth glance, but the similarities were chilling.
“Thank you for your help, young man.” He forced out through his lungs, which remained uncooperative. “How can I thank you for this kind act?”
“It’s no problem.” The boy shrugged casually, like taking out a criminal was something he was just used to. He pointed down to the man he was using as a rug. “Just get this guy where he needs to be and we’ll call it even.”
Jason had waited patiently for the unnamed good samaritan and “Mr. Wayne sir” to finish their little chat, but before Bruce could ask any more questions, they both made eye contact. Whatever comment or question Bruce made was left unheard as they both, visibly confused, stepped closer to each other.
“Are you dead or something?”
“Do you know you’re a liminal?”
They both took a moment to process what the other said, but both seemingly didn’t know how to react.
“The hell’s a liminal?” Jason looked the kid up and down again. The boy did the same.
As if testing something, Bruce felt Jason unleash a tiny bit of pit rage towards the boy. Even the miniscule amount made the air all the more tense and heavy, like a dense fog choking up his lungs. Jason’s eyes faded back from the intense green as he took a calming breath.
As if responding, the boy’s eyes flashed green. A different shade of green, but with the same intenseness. If Bruce had blinked, he would have missed it, or thought it was a trick of the light. But it wasn’t, as much as he knew Jason's wasn’t a trick either. Before he knew it, the air grew chilly, and Bruce involuntarily shivered. The chill faded as quickly as it came, along with the tension between the two, and Bruce was sure it wasn’t a random cold breeze.
Suddenly, Jason grinned.
And then picked the boy up and threw him over his shoulder. He turned back towards Bruce, swinging the boy to the side (who honestly didn’t seem to mind being carried like luggage), and giving him what he can only describe as a territorial glare.
“This one’s mine, old man.”
Jason walked off, limply hanging teenager over his shoulder.
Bruce wouldn’t find out about this until a panic-filled hour later, but every single one of his children had disappeared and wouldn’t be found (until they wanted to be found).

As much as I enjoy writing, one of the things I enjoy most of all about being in this fandom, is reading all the incredible works by all of YOU.
So, in the spirit of sharing, and singing your praise from the rooftops, once a week I'm going to feature a writer whose work is just incredible, who makes me smile, and who you should totally check out. 🖤
Please ensure you follow them (if you're not already) and re-blog their work. I am pretty sure you're going to love it, and them!
Please check out my Pedro Character Fav Fic Recs List for more incredible writers and their stories too.
So without further ado, here is this week's Writer Wow! ⭐️
Tumblr media
⭐️ @ghostofaboy ⭐️
I'm so in love with the way Ghostie (affectionate moniker I've bestowed on him - you can't escape it now, dude 😘) writes, and I feel like I am transported into the scene and feel everything. There aren't enough M!Reader writers in this fandom, but of the ones I've found (and I do enjoy all their work so much!), Ghostie really knocks it out of the park, in my opinion. His stories are so compelling and really capture your attention, and it's wonderful to read these characters from a male perspective. Not to mention, he's a total sweetheart too.
Some of my personal favourites from Ghostie's writing are:
⭐️ Rock Bottom Series - Frankie Morales
⭐️ Honey Pot - Agent Whiskey
⭐️ Dancing With Myself - Maxwell Lord
⭐️ Camming - Ezra
Please also check out Ghostie's Full Masterlist for more amazing stories!
☝🏻Give him a follow so you don't miss out on future stories. You won't be disappointed.
Check out previous Writer Wows here

From Now On, Showtime! Live Blogging
This is actually one of the first non-queer kdramas I added back on MDL after I started getting into BL/GLs because I saw a clip on twitter (from ep 4? idk) where he's doing a magic trick with floating cards with the help of ghosts.
Finally managed to download something onto my iPad to watch on my long-ass commute.
Ep 1 (June 14)
ah he’s a shaman fr
Was that in the past or it happened now?
Ah magician Cha Cha Woong
he’s got ghosts helping him right?
This cop reminds me of the MC of Midnight
Ah ofc the arrow
How’d he even dooo that oh wait was a ghost riding the bike
First meeting
Switched helmet? Will the camera catch Cha Woong being weird w the ghosts
Pls the hearts
Lol the dash cam catching all this convo, he even mentioned ghosts
Ah so grandpa dying was indeed in the present
Oh corrupt Chief Seo is Captain Heesoo’s father
Nooo how did neighbour dad-to-be die
He was murdered?!
Cha Woong is sooooo heartless
I wonder what the dashcam actually recoded though bc i wanna know the crime scene
pls not the ghosties protecting him against her arresting Cha Woong
I was wondering if he'd reveal the ghosts or not - he could still spin it as a silly joke like "ahaha a ghost ofc" but we'll see
Ep 2 (June 14)
lol ghost Mr. Ma (?) reminiscing on his thug days when he'd be taken to the police station
wait are they supposed to be a romance? why did they linger like that on her grabbing on to him? I thought maybe she and the sunbae would become something
who is that guy? some boss at the car place - he easily seems like the one who ran the dude over, though my initial guess was actually the Chief Seo guy - the detective mans dad
...it's not 1004 but there's a car with 1604 near the bakery?
lol the SUV of the company indeed the boss. so if they've found it so quick
ah is this a 2-ep format like Tomorrow? deal with a new ghost every week?
why didn't the ghosts come to get the helmet?
ah, confession under duress - will this actually work? ig it might by drama logic
oh loll this is the card floating trick that I saw on twitter
ah, so they managed to get and restore the helmet, that feels necessary
so is the Chief Seo protecting Seul Hae by not letting her be a detective (since the son mentioned that his father still feels bad about what happened to her dad) or is he covering his tracks by ensuring she can't catch him doing something bad?
so this is softening Cha Cha Woong, I see
ah man love triangle already? Cha Woong getting jealous seeing her and the detective after telling her to never come near him again? be serious
pls T.T this worshipping spirit scene
too dark, idk what's happening but Chief Seo and Seul Hae's dad fighting some spirit? oh he was killed by the full moon murderer? did they ever catch him?
oh i see, he fell off the cliff
oh? that's the full moon murderer? in the fishing village? idk why they're zooming in on his ear - is there a bullet hole or smth? te split on his ear?
or where'd that flashlight come from and who picked it up under the water?
wtf is that voice - slight horror vibes here?
damn bruh, that was Cha Woong's dream/nightmare that the Worshipping Spirit gave him?
ah, Cha Woong fainting and Seul Hae having to hold him up, okay
Ep 3 (June 15)
watched the first half while going to get my covid booster + waiting afterwards
so he doesn't have to be a shaman, just needs to do good things to get thanks from Seul Hae
oh, that's why everyone could see the worshiping spirit, they're all ghosts
plsssss ofc the cops barge in when they're here
The first half of the episode was so boring, my goodness but at least it picked up once we got to the gambler son story
Ep 4 (June 15)
damn some past life stuff?
second lead Heesoo is annoying wtf is "just to clean? this late? just you two?"
damn, what's happening - this creepy vibe
oh second couple? eh
ohh i was like why is he being so nice to this cafe owner but it's actually the ghost's pay i guess?
a dark soul into this Soondong dude's body oof the spirit is killing people on the full moon again but how'd it go into that lamp thing all this time
ah, so Cha Woong's grandpa and the whispering spirit had sealed the full moon spirit and drowned it
oh, Cha Woong and Seul Hae's past life that we saw a glimpse of is from the worshipping spirit's time?
Do we always need a Joseon era past lives connection in these fantasy type kdramas lol I watched Tomorrow recently and that had that too
Ep 5 (June 16)
Thoughts after watching the whole thing.
the full moon murderer at it again and this time he even saw Seul Hae
ah Cha Woong saw Seul Hae’s dad that last day + saw her at the funeral while she hates his grandpa shaman - Aris drug sting ah
the fuckass love triangle stuff is irritating like why are we doing this posturing thing. also the male bestie who is so possessive of his female bestie is a boooo trope
how is he suddenly such a good fighter, the ghosts are helping or what
Ep 6 (June 16)
Thoughts after watching the whole thing.
ah this chief is soooo agh full of corruption
Plsssss side girl’s reading of herself being dangerous and greedy and telling him to be careful
the cha woong fiancé wannabe is such a bitchhhh but she's funny i can’t decide if i like her or not
ahh the argument about grandpa vs father at the police station is great
ohhh i want the chief dead “why don’t you quit the force and find a nice man to marry” um die you fucking crook cheat corrupt ladder climber
at least he gather up 1 tiny bit of courage to go after the full moon murderer even if he returned a decade later
chief is soooooo booooooooooo ew
Ep 7 (June 16/17)
oh, she died because of him? he accidentally killed her?
worshiping spirit's goal is to connect the two of them? what? what was the mistake he made?
so he was a robber thief man and then the evil spirit got him?
ah the sunbae asks her to weekend bowling and now Cha Woong has to also get a move on. he's so silly tho repeating every last word gbye
I wish the evil spirit man wasn't the only one with a limp or some sort of disability in the show
don't kill herrrrrrrrrrrr D:
plssss her arguing with the grim reaper
but now she can tell them the guy who came to beat her up, right? ask herrr
pls can't she just say what the dude was wearing and stuff bc then at least they can check the CCTV again etc
wait wtf, her husband killed her?
The fact that all the pure and 7 whatever have been all women is boring and predictable boo
Ep 8 (June 17)
the evil spirit could tell the husband was "like him?"
oh at least we get one dude with the pure 7 skies thing or whatever
plsss not the bed-sharing to see the ghosts in the video
i wish we got to see a bit more of the aftermath of catching the husband and how the sunbae and his father reacted to it all
oh the people who the evil spirit had buried were the parents of the house?
evil spirit is also from 2000 years ago goddamn but i think we knew that, right? since the ghost was release from the Cha family
Ep 9 & 10 (June 17)
ngl i really don't care about their past lives
a ring magic trick??? be srs
pls why do seul hae and cha woong keep getting into these unintentional couple face-offs
what is this couple's match where only the guys play
ah
plsss the grandma telling him that "aigoo, you have bad taste in women" because he likes yeji
i need the chief to die sooooo terribly like just painfully take that coward out you piece of shit
I can't remember when I went onto the next ep without doing the new ep thing but I guess it's around here.
they really left the evil fucking spirit at a place just like that so that some kids can easily release it fr?
plsssss Yeji has such a rancid personality, she's so funny
ah, is the grandma gonna die?
damn, she's really leading him into a secluded place by themselves? bruv. but ig him somehow recognizing her will save her
ah as expected he too recognizes her from 2000 years ago
couldn't you just have stuck the paper on him, this time of meeting and then nothing coming out of it is annoying
at least Hee Soo sunbae knows the truth about his father and the tragedy 10 years ago now
hm would Hee Soo die trying to get full man murderer?
anyway since early on, the chief and his son's relationship where the father is corrupt and the son wants to seek justice has reminded me of Beyond Evil (it was done better in BE) and I miss that show.
I've also been like ah, this past lives thing reminds me of Tomorrow and I don't care about it whatsoever. let's stay in the present pls
Ep 11 (June 17)
ah, this old-time past-life stuff
oh, he got the evil spirit into the bottle?
yang taechoon is an ordinary man now right, no evil spirit within him - just regular evilness that made the spirit choose him? - though i wonder if he'll manage to free the spirit again or what
oh Hee Soo shot him
oh she can see the ghosts now
ewwwww the way the detectives talk about Seul Hae "she always talks about her goal to be a detective but her goal's to actually be with you" "be careful or she'll put those shackles on you" agh
plsss so funny to see Yeji's rotten personality around the cop dude's mother like oh miss you're gonna regret it
agh we're just going through the past life and it could be okay what with the treats Poong Baek was facing etc but fr is Seul Hae's old life just spent cooing over Poong Baek or what. did i intend to watch a show where our main female lead is just pureness and boy crazy?
Joseon era powerful princess or whoever in high station being kind to the poor people is so eye-roll worthy ngl
ah, that's why the ring is significant
she's sooo cute and pretty and funny pls the way she got a proposal out of him
...aren't the evil spirit man and Cheon Hwa related... like if he's the illegitimate son and his brother is the king and she's the princess, then she's his niece?
bruh 40 minutes of the joseon era past and we still don't know the full story? be serious
Ep 12 (June 17)
man we're still on the past-life train
oh i see, never mind so mans gave his own brother the king of his own kingdom the poisoned concoction, not Seora's king. so they are indeed not related, i was so confused
ah, so he really was a traitor? i thought he's been framed but maybe not?
ah indeed he was framed
why do i always have to watch women be abused or treated as property in these shows like we can have fantasy of seeing ghosts and magic but not enough fantasy to not have women face sexism and abuse?
ah they're finally dying over 30 minutes in, so we'll get to go back to present time
oh damn Cha Woong already told Seul Hae about their past life, interesting I didn't think it'd be such a footnote in their interactions
plsss Cha Woong becoming soooo weirdly sweet now, my man is sooo in love with her (including her past life self lol) and keeps remembering it pls like it's a little weird actually <- ah she thinks so too that he keeps reenacting past life stuff
pls him saying he'll wait for her to kiss him
....would Hae Soo end up being evil? That'd be cowardly of the show to do
ohhh the reason the worshipping spirit is making up for his bad karma with the Cha bloodline is because he betrayed Poong Baek?
bro i needed this flashback to be 2 minutes max but we're getting everything
ahh, Hae Soo pretending (I'm assuming?) that he's just like his dad reminds me so much of Beyond Evil - but also ummm why is that voice sounding? Is Hae Soo possessed by the evil spirit or something
oh fuck they really made Hae Soo be an evil spirit victim. this would've been better if Seul Hae still liked him or was dating him but now it just feels cowardly as a way to remove him as an option
Seul Hae is for real the only female cop and detective
It does make sense that the evil spirit isn't fully gone because it'd be too easy otherwise
Ep 13 (June 17)
plsss even the grandma reading that the son's gf (Yeji) is not a good person
eww hae soo
it's dark, i can't see anything
ah they're together now i guess
i'm glad dongcheol found his gf tho
Ep 14 (June 18)
lmao all the ghosties against Cha Woong and Seul Hae relationship
oooaaaa so Yongryul's not rich and Yeji's gonna end up actually liking him
plssssss Cha Woong unable to help Seul Hae and it being the awkwardest thing on this double date good bye I'm dying
i think Seul Hae could've told Yeji about why he's not helping her lol this is so awkward I'm gonna crawl into a hole
ahh this fire where Areum saves a kid T.T
Ep 15 (June 18)
I have an assignment + homework thing to do ahhh but i just wanna watch some more of this
i need to kill every man in the detective office btw the way they blame and yell at Seul Hae for every fucking thing
ahh Yeji and Yongryul's mom's first proper meeting
why don't we get anywhere with the Hee Soo thing? it's
damn all the ghosties dealt with unfinished business and went to nirvana T.T
oh at least we still get to have Hee Soo in the mirror, so we might still have him return to being an okay person by the end
pls Yeji also has the 7 stars channel thing? how's that possible when she's so rancid, I thought it was supposed to be a pure thing
why'd he even announce himself before just capturing the spirit or whatever
Ep 16 (June 18)
1 last episode ah I should at least start working on my assignment but alas, I'm here...
um???? is this stupid ass breakup because he's gonna be possessed?????? she's in danger and you're leaving her like this? you piece of shit you fuck just tell her the truth
ah Heesoo's father now
bruv ofc Chawoong would hold the knife and ofc the dumbass detectives would get here at this time
the old ghosties T.T plssss
it was sooo small case almost non-existent threat for the past few episodes that it's like what? when it comes to the high stakes of this ep
hmmm would they have truly killed him?
agh fuckass past life again, go backkk idc
wait the worshipping spirit is coming back again or something?
kids?! wtf tiny ass ghosties
ohh their kid Maru is reincarnated worshipping spirit mans lol
Overall:
Funny and comedic with likable characters (even rancid characters like Yeji were charming to me). Nothing too deep, though it had some touching moments. Too much dramatic romance in the second half, I don't care about their royal/shaman past life tragedy and I think that made it kinda meh for me in the latter half.
Rating: 6.5/10

hello fellow ghost!dream creator :)
i come with QUESTIONS!!
soo, in the lil ghosty world, after someones death, how do they gain power? is it by possession, ooor maybe something else? or are they just all kinda powerful by default, given like a ghost starter pack where they can possess and make weird 'settling house' noises,, yk the basic stuff :D
alsooo, punz feels like he's being watched. i know that it's common for someone to look into this, so does punz? does he put it off for a while before eventually maybe using something like an emf reader or one of those shitty mobile ghost hunting apps? maybe he pays a bit more attention to his surroundings, by maybe setting up cams in various rooms? sorry i'm too invested into the horror genre to just let a character sit still, believer or not. AND, speaking of believing, i think the first best question would be: is punz a skeptic or does he believe in ghosts (or something along the lines of them,)?
SORRY THIS IS A LOT SHGDSHHDNF my ghost!dream au is very beloved to me, i must learn about yours >:DD
I wanted to answer this before but I was half asleep :')
Currently, yes, ghosts that can't move on and are stuck in earth, are all a bit powerful by default, scaring the inhabitants of the house they reside in for pure fun and entertainment. Or at least for the vast majority of them.
Punz doesn't really care at all at first as it's just noises and he can take that, but it changes when Dream breaks something by accident that Punz finally starts to investigate.
At first he would use one of those absurd phone apps and finally he would give in to putting a couple of cameras around the house.
Punz is not one of those who would say that something exists as if nothing. He doesn't like to say that something exists or not if you haven't seen them first, so he would first investigate and look for the supposed ghost, finally leaving the answer up in the air if he doesn't find it, since as I said before, he couldn't check if they really exist or not.

🥚 I REALLY REALLY WANT CAM TO WORK WITH PEOPLE IN HER PARANORMAL WORK!
I want someone to go on her missions with her or encounter her as The Archivist and assist in her work. I want to write ghosty and weird-ass multiversal encounters with people. There is SO much potential there and I honestly haven't brought it up outta fear that it may be too triggering content at times.
Cause Cam and the Archivist deal with not only bringing the dead to peace and calm, but also deal with the eldritch and beyond. Infohazards and genuinely dangerous scenarios galore. So I've really only brought up the concept to people I know for certain can handle that stuff, y'know?
Bonus that's kinda in line with this: I'd also love to get Melody some friends who are also dead or ghosts or just. Monsters in general. Help flesh out that side of her a little more.

I made a cryptid for Fenrir__74’s on twitch cryptid contest and forgot to post them
“Harlequin Hex”
It was the 5th of October 2022 when I first noticed its presence. At the time, when I found the deer carcass, I had paid little attention to the puncture wounds that ran down its body. I’m not sure why it had abandoned its kill.
October 13th:
I caught the first picture of it on my trail cam. It’s six eyes staring from the void as if it knew I was watching. I started searching the trails during the day, making sure I brought my shotgun with me. Not sure how much protection it would give me but at least I could blow some of its eyes out. It seemed to only be active at night, killing more of the local wildlife for food. The other carcasses, or what little remained of them, we’re keeping it satiated.. for now. Whatever it was it was certainly massive, with footprints around a foot.
October 15th:
I followed the trail again, but it had led me back around to the previous day’s tracks.. was it following me? Maybe it’s just walking the same path as it did. Diverging off the tracks should help me figure out if it is actually hunting me.
October 17th:
My fears have been confirmed, I haven’t noticed any new carcasses and it has been following my trail for the past couple of days. I hope it’s had its fill and is full and not hunting me. Given what I can only imagine a several ton creature, I doubt it's full.
October 17th update:
It’s currently 3:44 am. I was woken up by a strange shriek? Roar? It sounded human but not.. like a bird imitating a person’s voice but deeper. I don’t know how long I sat there, frozen in my bed before I got up. I couldn’t sleep after that so I made some tea and checked the cams. I nearly dropped my mug, spilling hot tea all over my hand. The cam caught a photo of the creature. It was far more terrifying than I had imagined. The cam had only caught a blurry picture but I could see that its mouth was extremely long with a similarly long tongue. Weird little graspy arms protruded along the upper jaw. It had darker swirls along its body, harlequin like in nature. While it’s hard to see how big it actually is, I can say now that it’s much bigger than I had first thought.
October 18th:
The forest seems rather quiet today with no sign of the creature. I can’t stop thinking about its eyes and how wide it can open its mouth. I can only imagine it uses its little arms to help the carcasses move down. I called a local cryptid hunter, Ghosty Bones, yesterday but they never picked up. I’m hoping they can get back to me very soon.
October 23rd:
I took the photos I had with me to Ghosty Bones place. I couldn’t see it, but I knew it was following me. It felt like it was breathing down my neck but every time I turned around, nothing was there. The trees shifted in the corner of my eyes but suddenly stood still when I looked at them.
I finally arrived at Bones’s house and my heart stopped. There was blood across the front of the house, bits of flesh and clothing. The creature had gotten here first
I felt its presence even closer than before. I clutched my shotgun, however, when I turned around, I saw its caraten like plating and brilliant gold, outlining the deep blue swirls, unable to stop staring into its 6 eyes.
I was unable to move or shoot my gun, my body was numb as I drifted apart from it, a euphoric feeling washing over me.
Info:
The Harlequin Hex as it’s known is a large creature standing around 10 feet tall and around 36 feet long. Its dark blue and gold patterning gave the creature its name. Some say that it wanders in search of a long lost item. No one has decided on what it is. People will swear it’s a flower, a large crystal or egg, and some think that it wanders to consume people. Not many have lived to tell the tale as it hates being perceived and will track down those who have seen it.

Evening of April 19th
The evening breeze was cool as Shane and Ryan walked to the Brooklyn lodge. They were back in New York for a shoot, investigating St Marks Church, and decided to visit the two ghosts they had become fond of. The edited video they’d posted about the two had gained more attention than usual, with so much evidence that comments were flooding in, asking for a reinvestigation.
With the two having never actually investigated the Brooklyn lodge, it couldn’t hurt to map out the site and see if there was enough here to record a video with more evidence, as most of the interactions in the Manhattan lodge, while having been supernatural, would’ve tugged on Ryan’s conscience. He’d never expected to meet ghosts with such a personality, and according to Shane, such a sadness. Showing that on camera wouldn't have felt right, no matter how many views it got.
If Mouse and King didn’t appear, the lodge may actually make for a good video. Spot Conlon was faint, even to Shane, so the cameras wouldn’t be able to pick him up. And if they got a small apparition on the static cam, that would be alright too.
As they walked through the lodge, Shane sighed as he could feel the projection of anger. He couldn’t pinpoint if it was Mouse or King around, all he could tell, or so he thought, was that it wasn’t both.
“Mouse? King? Who’s there?” He called, looking around. It was possible one of the spirits had just left and their feeling was lingering in the air. As far as Shane knew, Mouse and King tried avoiding the Brooklyn lodge. So why would they be here?
“Leave.”
The command was hissed, though the voice didn’t have King’s rasp, nor was it deep enough. So Mouse, then.
“Mouse? You in here?” Shane called again, scanning around. Behind him, Ryan was looking around wildly. Shane didn’t blame him, the atmosphere in the lodge was so tense that he wouldn’t be shocked if Ryan could feel it.
“Leave!”
The hiss came again, angrier this time, leaving Ryan about to bolt. The spirit here was angry, and part of him still feared, despite Shane’s insistence otherwise, that the two kids were possibly demons.
Shane stayed where he was, looking around the empty lobby. “Are you up by the beds shortstack?”
“Dude-!” “Shut up and watch-”
Shanes taunt caused a figure to appear on the stairs, sat halfway up, glaring at the two men through the wooden slats. Her form was clearer than usual, the edges of the apparition clear and crisp.
“Why’re you here Mouse? Why in this lodge?”
Ryan’s question was genuine, it was short, and it only made the glare on Mouse’s face grow as she responded.
“King wanted to come here.”
King, Shane guessed, was probably not on the mortal plane at the moment. His spirit could be here, but he couldn’t feel the usual feelings the two ghosts put out. They were both angry, and when their spirits combined, hatred rated from them in waves. Another thing he wouldn’t be shocked if Ryan could sense.
But the more he thought about it, the more the lonely feeling hanging around didn’t feel like Spot. It felt different, like hatred that had finally given up.
The figure on the stairs stood up, beginning to walk to the bunk room. Shane tilted his head, before beginning to follow, Ryan making a small protest before hesitantly following.
In the bunks, King was sitting on an old bunk in the corner, Mouse sitting next to him, though still giving distance. He was forlornly staring at the bunk across from him, like he was waiting for someone who may never arrive.
And truly, the former inhabitant may never arrive. He used to sleep on that bunk, and on sleepless nights, King would watch Bruiser's face. The way it changed if he was having a different type of dream, the way his hair would fall in front of his face, only to be blown back up by his exhale.
But now the bunk sat empty and cold, each gust of warm wind sending creaks through the house.
Looking through all the documented information on the two, Ryan realized, possibly at a very untimely moment, that there was nothing on how the two had met. Yet they were so close, and there was hardly anything documenting how long they had known each other.
“King? Mouse?”
He could swear that he felt his heart stop as both of the ghosts put their full focus on him, taking a breath as the warm air chilled.
“How did you two meet?”
The question was innocent, at least in Ryans mind, but Mouse’s glare only deepened, and King’s look only got sadder.
From behind him, Shane could feel another ghost appear, that melancholy loneliness he’d learned was attributed to Spot Conlon. Maybe he had something to do with it.
Mouse sighed as Jack dragged her along to the Brooklyn docks. She didn’t want to be here. She’d much rather be in the bunk house, or out selling, but apparently getting into her third fight that week meant that she had to stay at Jack’s side. Absolute bullshit if you asked her.
As Jack spoke with Spot, Mouse took a seat on one of the boxes. As she did, she heard some laughter behind her, turning to see a boy, much taller than her, but probably not much older. He was chuckling as he looked at her, so Mouse stood on her box facing him, a slight glare on her face as she landed a quick punch into the boys eye.
She heard her name from Jack, a reprimand, before rolling her eyes and taking her seat on the box again.
“You alright King?” Someone shouted, and Mouse sighed. Must be the boys name. King. Fitting for the ego he seemed to have.
Spot had been the one who had called his name. And now Spot was standing behind the ghost hunters, staring at the two as they sat on the bed.
It seemed the ghosts on the bed could feel it too, or maybe see Spot through Shane, as King looked at his hands as if they were the most interesting things to have existed, and Mouse was glaring right through Shane.
“Leave!”
Mouse’s voice was less of a hiss this time, and no longer directed at the two ghost hunters. It was a barked command, like she was giving the person she was speaking to no choice.
The word didn’t seem to have any effect though, and Ryan was able to see Spot as he walked towards the bunk.
Ryan had always feared ghosts would become violent if something from their past was brought up, or if an object brought to them triggered a strong enough memory to create a surge of emotion. What he had never expected was that when ghosts attack each other, it could look so terrifying.
Mouse had gotten up from her place on the bunk, pushing Spot away, actually making solid contact with him instead of passing through him, like her form did for many solid things. She began to fight like he had heard she used to when alive.
Her form, that was probably the most terrifying thing to Ryan. The edges of the apparition were hazy, like he was watching a bad projection, and her shirt was covered with a steadily spreading bloodstain, blood began to drip out of her mouth as she screamed.
From the bed, hacking coughs came from King, flower petals made of plasma dropping onto the floor as Mouse continued her screaming. Shane rushed to pull Ryan farther away from the fight, although he didn’t have to. Seconds after he did, Spot’s form vanished, Mouse finding her way back to the bed. Her form was flickering, King’s coughs still hacking, but he reached to hold onto Mouse as she sat.
So when she slipped off the bed, laying on the ground with blood splattering out of her mouth, King went with her, seeming as though he was holding his breath to keep the flowers back as he tried to comfort her.
“Shortie-? No, don’t- please- don’t-”
King’s voice was desperate as Mouse continued to choke, before the apparition went still and began to fade. King’s coughs and own choking only got worse as he tried shaking the faint ghost, flowers and petals beginning to fall to the floor through the ghost.
King collapsed next to her soon after, still attempting to shake the ghost next to him. But soon his apparition fell still as well, both of them fading, Mouse vanishing a few minutes before King.
As they did, Spot reappeared before kneeling by the pooling plasma, bowing his head. His voice was too soft for Shane and Ryan to hear, which shocked Shane. He strained to hear, only picking up what he believed to be an “I’m sorry.”
“Spot?”
The ghost didn’t turn to look at Shane, only bowing his head further before vanishing.
Shane sighed.
“If you want to shoot a video here, go ahead. Those three aren’t showing up again tonight.”

Student File: Emma Seiza
Tumblr media
Full Name: Emma Seiza
Hero Name: Interstellar Hero - Astraea
Age: 22
Gender: Female (Cis, She/Her)
Nationality: Japan
Ethnicity: Afro-Greek/Japanese
Design notes:
Emma will is finally able to resist bright lights because she has brown eyes.
Still blonde.
Stars connected to her Quirk.
Personality: One thing Emma really dislikes is how much she doesn't fit in. It was something she got bullied for in school and attracted the wrong crowd whenever she went overseas. She once even contemplated dying her hair black to fit in more. However, after some talk with her therapist, she's learned to accept her appearance more.
Emma is very vocal about her opinions. She's not the type to pull any punches and doesn't hold back when telling the truth, which makes her come off as an asshole to others. She's not too offended by that, seeing as she's aware of how blunt and sharp tongued she is.
She's a hard ass in the sense that she's very stubborn and hard to please. It'll take someone who's extraordinary (such as Wanda and/or Svetlana) to get her to react. Not to mention that she isn't really moved by grand speeches and cool poses.
Emma is also fiercely loyal to others, especially people in positions of power who use it for good even if it makes her looks like an ass kisser. She knows a person using their power for good when she sees it.
Primary Quirk: Stellar - An Emitter/Transformation type Quirk that allows Emma to transform her body into a space like appearance that allows her to fly, create star projectiles, and harness cosmic energy.
Secondary Quirk: Star Force - A Mutation type Quirk that is reason for Emma's stars. These stars can absorb either solar or cosmic energy and form powerful barriers around her. They can also release bursts of energy at her will as well.
Family:
Yoichi Seiza | Hyperion (Father)
Thea Seiza (nee Calimeris) | Theia (Mother)
Sol Seiza | Helios (Older brother)
Phoebe Seiza | Selen (Older sister)
Akemi Seiza | Eos (Older sibling)

Paranormal Activity 1-3 Thoughts
So as the crisp breeze of Autumn has started whistling I'm feeling fittingly yearning for feeling absolute fear. Less fittingly I felt oddly wanting to rewatch the Paranormal Activity films. Despite being, silly and goofy films, they hold a good deal of nostalgia. 1-3 anyway.
Paranormal Activity
For what it's worth it's kind of a classic. It's simple, but effective. Just two people dealing with a ghostie, one is a bit more familiar with the phenomenon and the other is hyperfixated to the point of making it worse. It makes good use of building tension. I don't know what it is but the sound effect used for the night segments has its clutches permenantly engraved into the part of my brain that produces fear. While the protag Micah is, a dick, and sarcastic, and annoying, and makes everything worse in a film such as this it's nice to have the comedy leverage whilst also just, making use of the active protag archetype, making shit worse for themself. Without the context of the...'Lore'...You could believe Micah caused his own demise and that's oddly tragic. Were this the only film of this franchise, it'd be certifiably a classic. I do think what the series became, post this trilogy really fucks that up but as is it's tense, it doesn't rely on jumpscares and I remember it being marketed as legitimate found footage which, for little 7 year pld me (probably 8, I didn't see it in cinema) made it all the more spooky. Also just as a final note I have the weirdest mandella effect of, the final jumpscare being, an actual jumpscare. Loud, Katie's face turns demonic and shit...They really just ended it with her bumping her forehead into the camera and, honestly it's hilarious.
7/10
Paranormal Activity 2
The second film was, interesting for a remember firmly that, growing up it was my favourite. I now have obtained consciousness and am no longer a child so I do, not hold that same opinion now. This one was just boring. For one, as someone who enjoyed having the active protagonist and inherent interest in the phenomenon to go along with and analuse it, the lack of that, with most footage just being from security cams in the house really made the action feel, inconsequential and distant. It attempted to make Abi more of who we followed in the second half but, by the time they did that the climax was essentially already rushed into. The only emotional attatchment I felt for any character was, the dog. Which is cheating because...It's a dog of course I'm gonna love a good boy. It was nice seeing Micah again for a scene but overall, there's just not much of note for this one, I suppose the main point of interest was the ending which, was more so impactful because it succeeded the first film.
5/10
Paranormal Activity 3
I do find it funny that the trilogy really just goes back in time, every film, which, this film's of course the end of but, as two was my favourite growing up, but now is my least favourite, 3 was my least favourite growing up but now, legitimately is probably the best one to me. It is perhaps the silliest and goofiest of the trilogy I'll admite but given how, the novelty of the original idea had somewhat worn off, leaning into it just, as a story was a decent shot. For one, Dennis is unironically the goat. As far as protagonists go him and Julie have what feels like, actual chemistry and Dennis is, a sarcastic dick, but not like Micah, he doesn't just fuck around and find out, he simply tries to document, and because of the 'lore' finds out...AKA Getting snapped like a Slim Jim. I will admit this one seemed the least scary of any three, but I didn't mind it. This is when the ghost...Now known as...Toby...Tobey? Either way, is the most active and at the very least, we get the motive somewhat through the kids. As an observer its pretty tragic to see two innocent kids get groomed by a ghost and their nightly schenanigans led o some decently creepy moments based off, small child behaviour alone. I wouldn't have minded a few more sequences akin to the first film. It felt like most of the scares were, loud bangs, in some cases literal earthquakes, and it really only made sense to me for, the big kitchen drop I'll call it, to be a reason for that. While it was middling in scares and tension of the first, as a film, it felt the most well rounded and I know this is a weird thing to like but, it's nice to see a rendition of the 80's in media that isn't just hyper-romanticised, and since they got into cult territory, it was the perfect era for it to be.
8/10
I will be getting round to the rest of these films as, I'm kinda in deep now so look forward to, my small meaningless dissection of those films in a few days.

#9 The Ghost at Dawn’s House: Chapter 13
Dawn thinks she’s figured out what’s going on in the secret passage! Though I’m sure you have too, this was easier to solve than a Cam Jansen mystery.
Also, the triplets are assholes to Nicky. Again.
Dawn decides to freak herself out again by exploring the passage, after she nearly made Mary Anne wet her pants in fear by bringing her inside. Great Dog Tales, the book that they found last time, is gone. The ghost must have gotten offended by Mary Anne and Dawn freaking out over it. In its place is a crust of bread. Forget a spectral Mallory; if the ghost is sneaking food and reading questionable literature, it sounds like a spectral Claudia!
She also finds another key, shoved into a crack at the bottom of the steps. Dawn leaves it be, just in case Jared the ghost gets mad and haunts her with floating images of raw steak. And that rainy night, she hears moaning in the passage, so Little Miss I Love Ghost Stories sleeps downstairs again.
Two days later, she gets to test her theory about the ghost when she goes to babysit the Pikes. Mrs. Pike is taking the girls for haircuts, including Claire - Dawn says her hair hasn't been the same since Vanessa and Margo doused her with that shampoo. I'm imagining it as really shiny and greasy. So the stage is set!
Lucky Dawn - Mallory is babysitting with her. So the triplets let Nicky play basketball with them - with the three of them against him. Nicky doesn't care since he's riding the high of being able to play with his brothers.
For lunch, what do you know...Mrs. Pike didn't get around to feeding the Pike Army. Geez, Mrs. Pike - even the Duggars got tater tot casserole on time and they have twice as many kids! What's your excuse? So the girls get food court stuff at the mall and for the boys, Mallory gets an Idea (don't tell Kristy, even though Mallory isn't a member of the BSC yet). She suggests they give the boys a smorgasbord for lunch. Dump everything out of the fridge and let them fend for themselves. And it cleans out the fridge, so Mrs. Pike can forget to refill it before that big blizzard that's on the way. That’s another book on the way here.
And what would a BSC book be without a mispronunciation of something? Nicky calls it a “schmurgerbeard” and promptly gets called stupid by Jordan. That’s something that irritated me about the BSC books, especially near the end, where there was a ton of it. Someone mispronouncing a word and someone else responding with, “Don't you mean ______, a [definition of word]?” Thank you for the vocabulary lesson, AMM and ghosties.
So the boys make a big mess of things, Adam's glopping mayo on bread, Byron is eating peanut butter out of the jar with his hand. And I guess along with the Pikes’ whole “We don't have rules, unless your name is Mallory!” thing, they also don't have table manners. Jordan runs to the stove and says he wants fried bologna. In addition to the 10-year-old reincarnation of Elvis here, Adam wants a fried egg and Byron wants fried peanut butter and jelly.
Nicky says he wants fried barf.
Tumblr media
Dawn cooks fried bologna for Adam and Jordan (while dry-heaving, I'm assuming) and fried peanut butter and jelly for Byron. All throughout lunch, the triplets harass Nicky, including telling him to point to his head and say Mark Twain's initials. Dawn, being a member of the BSC, which means they shall never discipline children, gives them a weak, “Ok stop.” Instead of, “Stop picking on your brother or else I'm throwing away your fried shit and I'm telling your mom when she comes home.”
Ok, I underestimated Dawn. Adam pulls Nicky's chair out from under him and the triplets crack up. Nicky, clearly upset, runs off. Hmm, I wonder where. Dawn finally gets off her ass and does some babysitting and since this is Dawn and she's never angry, the triplets shut up right away. Dawn says she's telling Mrs. Pike how asshole-ish they were to Nicky, despite them whining for her not to tell. What a bunch of little shits.
Dawn runs off to find Nicky, leaving Mallory in charge, and orders the boys to clean the kitchen. Please. When an older sibling is in charge, that means shit. Dawn's going to come back and find the kitchen an even bigger mess and Mallory spinning in the dryer with her training bra tied to her head. Dawn also says she feels bad about yelling at the triplets. Uh, they were treating their younger brother like garbage and you feel bad for yelling at them? You know, being in charge of kids means BEING ASSERTIVE! Sure enough, Dawn runs right to her house and into the barn. Hey, look! The bale of hay is moved aside and the trap door's open! Our fearless babysitter grabs a flashlight from the kitchen and jumps down the ladder into the secret passage.
First thing she hears is heavy breathing. Dawn thinks Jared's in there with her and considers calling Mary Anne, among other people. Ok, if there's a ghost in there, what good is calling Mary Anne? She'd turn into a ghost herself. Or cry. Or both. She also considers calling the cops but stops herself because she has to solve this mystery, dammit!
Weighing over her clues and concluding that someone must have been using the passage since the floor is hard-packed, Dawn starts calling out for Nicky again when she hears footsteps.
Oooh, a cliffhanger!

Ghosty Projects Scrapbook's Friends
Tumblr media
Ghosty and Scrapbook (katyj98) in a field. Scrapbook talks about his friends, Glitters and Cam. Then Ghosty makes sure that he knows who they are by projecting images of them into a photograph background (2 photos behind the projections). Scrapbook confirms that the ones in the projection are indeed Glitters and Cam.
Fun fact!: Ghosty (SP-ASH-SG! Scrapbook) can project his photos in the air or onto a projector screen using his ghost powers.
