I was rereading through Replica from the beginning, and I just need to say how much I adore your storytelling on top of the amazing art. You've done such a fantastic job with the characters, and the way you've fleshed out the apocalyptic world around is amazing.

And just....the way that they have hope, and built a level of stability among the destruction. But, since we, the readers, know the ultimate end, (plus the implications that you've set up) it adds a level of tragedy in a way that makes it all more meaningful.

It reminds me of a Cold War song called "We Will All Go Together When We Go" by Tom Lehrer. It's from 1959 (or close?) about the inevitably of nuclear war, since at the time (and various other times throughout the Cold War) death by nuke was an accepted fact of life, and that once they've been dropped, no one will have to worry about funerals because everyone will be gone. So, there's a ironic level of optimism, or even dark humor, to it all.

Instead of losing hope in the dread and doom of it all, stories like yours make the good parts all the more precious.

Thank you so much. Not to get too real for a moment, but this means a lot to me. My parents lived through the Cold War and my dad would tell me stories of growing up in a time when an atomic world war was not an “if” but a “when” and how they all knew even as kids that hiding under their desks at school would not save them. It felt like living on borrowed time.

I think about that still sometimes. Growing up like that. It makes me think of kids like Casey Jr and kids in the present real world that have had to deal with the very real end of their world, however big or small.

It makes my chest feel heavy but at the same time it’s amazing how some of those people come out the other side still so hopeful and grateful for what they do have. That’s a feeling I really wanted to capture with Replica and focus on those moments of joy and endurance in those harsh times. I’m so glad that feeling came through for you!

The fact is that, at the beginning of season 4 Eric is clearly not happy with the fact that antigone said they were competitors rather than friends.

BUT considering that rudyard calls georgie, who is probably the person he loves most in the world next to antigone, a Model Employee in meaningful moments– Antigone calling them competitors totally means more than that, Eric just doesn't realise that. The Funns are just like that.

Their lives have been so intertwined for so long that they're inseparable. Despite the fact that rudyard hates Eric, he's had a family on this island for some time but never knew

I found these folklore section pics I hadn’t seen before while searching the Taylor Swift deep web and guys… she is just so beautiful 😭 you can truly tell what a great love she has for music and performing and I cannot begin to express how lucky I feel to be living at the same time of such a significant part of her career. It feels so surreal to relate so deeply to somebody’s art whilst being able to share it with people who feel it just as strongly as I do. From her songwriting, to her production, to her musicality, she pulls along a sense of wonder and beauty all along the way. I think being in a fandom, and especially when it’s like in the byler tag, is like. Peak human. I’m Back!

OMG, listen, you don’t know the absolute devastation I suffered in late august when tumblr had a log-in/ authorisation error and then I was told my (main) blog had been deleted

Support replied to my request from the 27.08. just recently on the 26.09. and then I had to reset my password because in my attempts to figure out what had gone wrong, my device somehow overwrote my saved password with the support request I had typed out

Anyhoooowww, I’m back now! All my blogs are back online and I will need to check if everything is still as I (involuntarily) left it

Much love and I’m actually grateful for tumblr support because my main and this particular blog have been kicking since 2016 and the utter pain I felt when 7 years of my online-life had just… if I think about that anxiety attack I might start to cry again, uuuuhm…
