- I just want to say for those who want to be in a relationship with GB is to be prepared for him. As much as I love him and I don’t mean this in a bad way but he really is something. I can imagine him as some sort of trickster regardless of if he is in a relationship or not. He likes to tease you; he's just naturally like that. Seeing your reactions to it is what strives him to be around you. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t respect your boundaries. If you genuinely want him to stop then he will. He really likes you and wants to make sure you're comfortable especially when it comes to someone like him.

- I like to think that he is surprisingly clingy, especially around you. You could literally be doing something minding your own business then you would feel his arms wrapped around you with him clinging onto you for dear life. You can’t do anything without him being near you. Obviously you don’t really mind this because everyone has that thing about them but if you think about it it’s kind of creepy that one minute you're alone the boom he’s suddenly here. It definitely catches you off guard more than enough times.

- He’s also very flirty towards you and I mean that. He’s REALLY flirty towards you. As mentioned in my first point he likes to tease you and he usually does it by flirting with you. He ranges from complimenting you to straight up just touching you. As suggestive as it sounds he just likes to feel every part of you. From your face to your body, he likes every part of you regardless of what you look like or if you're confident in yourself.

- Creepily enough he knows what you like and often likes to get said things for you. He often remembers what you mentioned towards him for example if you offhandedly said you wanted or liked something expect to see it in your room the next day or even sooner.

- I like to think it would take him a bit to get him jealous but when he does get jealous it’s really bad. He doesn’t outright say or show that he is but it’s kind of obvious when he is. You just have this feeling that he is and you are usually right. Like some secret sense. You can probably guess from the other exe’s/horrorbrew fics but obviously due to his nature and personality, he could do a range of things to people he is jealous of. He definitely isn’t afraid of using his other form to at least scare those people off. If he is feeling somewhat nice enough. But he doesn’t like to use this form when around you because he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable because he lets his emotions get the better of him.

- He also likes to keep what happens to him and his victims away from your business, only telling you if he absolutely has to but regardless he keeps it to himself. Obviously it doesn’t change the fact that you know what he is, you knew what you were getting into when you first met him and started developing feelings and pursuing said feelings with him. But you kind of appreciate him being careful around you to be honest you rather not know what he does.

- He honestly appreciates you sticking around him. Even with his nature you still stick around him. All teasing and joking coming from him aside he doesn’t really know what he would do if he hadn’t met you. Like sure he would be doing what he usually does but without you or getting to see you after all that, seeing your face realizing he’s back and immediately going up to him. It just sounds boring to him without you and he doesn’t want to imagine it actually happening.

But he didn’t realize you were facing your own issues not realizing the weird stuff in town didn’t actually end. You were in one of his later period classes when suddenly you were struggling to hold your pencil you couldn’t understand why maybe tired? No that wasn’t it you hand was translucent

Your first instinct was to freak out so you got up to tell the teacher but you immediately fall over to everyone it just seemed like you were unwell but James saw it. He saw your leg literally disappear he immediately got up yanking you up accidentally more forceful then intended making you squeak a bit

“ uh teacher their unwell! I’m gonna rush them to the nurse yeah? “ he didn’t even give time for a response nearly pushing you out the door “ so uh when did you become a magic trick? “ you blinked a few times before shrugging “ it just happened!! I don’t know?? “ you rubbed your head confused “ oh! When you first came into the problem of baking too much to eat, you were stumped

And when you expressed that to your dear friend, Qiu. They instantly volunteered as tribute to be a taste tester.

They want them as fresh as possible so they would probably just wait around your house or watch you bake them.

I don’t think they would help much other than passing you ingredients and maybe stirring the batter.

Only to get a lick of the batter

Of course, it's not because they don’t want to help or anything like that, they just know that you probably enjoy handling it on your own and being in your element without having some nerd ask them to go through the steps for the tenth time.

They get super excited when you try out a new pastry or recipe and have them be the very first to try it.

It feels like an exclusive event every time they get to be the first to try something of yours.

I headcanon that Qiu is kind of hopeless in the kitchen, preferring to just go to the diner or their parents if they want something.

They burn water so it’s mesmerized to watch you bake something from scratch.

I like to think that for a special occasion, they might try and bake you something either from scratch or a box mix!

Tamarack isn’t super picky, but does appreciate variety! She encourages you to try out a bunch of different recipes regardless of the difficulty level.

Like, what do you mean you can’t make macaroons? You’re a master baker, you could try!

She doesn’t want you to be the only one pulling your weight to supply these tea parties, she will be bringing lots of teas and little stuff to put on them, like milk and honey!

This inspires her to make more stuff like a chef's hat which leads her down a sewing rabbit hole.

She eats most of what you bring her but she also likes inviting you inside to give them to her Omi and Opa!

She doesn’t care too much about the freshness of the cookies but she also enjoys watching you bake.

The energetic girl needs some downtime too and watching you bake is soothing to her.

Cove is kinda confused, he never really expected Derek to like you in that way, he never really got any signs (Derek was trying to hide it) but he wouldn’t be upset or anything. You’re all friends in the end, besides Derek was being considerate trying to hide his feelings for everyone else’s sake.

Chalks it up to “Well who wouldn’t like MC?”

Derek has always been aware of Coves crush since it’s super obvious to everyone. In his DLC if you tell him you thought he was cute he admits his first impression of you was that you are cute too! So I think after he hangs out with you and Cove for the first time he realizes early on that Cove already likes you so he’d just try to act like nothing but the more you hang out the harder ignoring his feelings get. Derek’s reaction to Cove finding that out that he likes you would be worried cause he doesn’t want to make anything weird. Cove wouldn’t throw their friendship away just cause he’s got a crush on you. Derek would go down a spiral of “what if Cove hates me.” “What if they both never speak to me again.” So just make sure he knows you’re not going to ghost him over this😭

Derek was over for lunch with everyone and at the table it was just too obvious. They knew Cove liked you but they hadn’t really payed mind to how Derek acted until then. Cove still would have been completely oblivious to it. At home Mr. Holden would say something like “so, you have competition huh sport?” with zero context and wouldn’t further explain when coves all lost. Cliff decides not to break it to him💀Maybee if it comes up sometime he’d give cove advice like in the soirée DLC where he makes him to bring you a flower! He’d always be up to help out cove but cove would be too embarrassed to ask😭

For the moms they’d just tease you how they do with cove and they’d also just mess with Derek in the same manner. Probably not around Cove so he wouldn’t catch on😭 when they’re feeling out of pocket they’ll say something to you both like “I wonder what has him all nervous” once derek is out the room and just laugh while shushing eachother.

it’s not super regular she hangs out with you since she does her own thing but I feel like she’d be down to gossip about it all the time like. “ELIZABETH GUESS WHAT-” and that’s literally the only time she lets you in her room without arguing about knocking or telling you you’re being annoying 😭

A/N: omgomgomg OL2 ask yay!!! I’ll give you a little treat for the long wait and include both of them :3 I decided to go with step 3 because I like the idea of them being able to handle it a bit more maturely. Also since it wasn’t specifically mentioned otherwise, assume there’s an established relationship between you both. Little side note, I’m a total sap for long-haired Tama + Qiu so that’s what you get >:)

Qiu "Autumn" Lin ~

Honestly? I imagine Qiu as a bit of a golden retriever in step 3, considering they finally feel comfortable with themselves.

Back in the step 2 era you never really had to think about Qiu leaving you behind since it was made obviously clear that if you weren’t in then you were out.

Now though?

It’s no surprise that Qiu is popular. They’ve been popular forever. Now they’ve opened up again and are the ‘magnanimous top dog’ of Golden Grove.

It’s a little harder to remain cool when you’re interrupted in almost every moment you two spend together. 

It feels like everyone HAS to get their daily dose of interacting with him.

The already steaming pot of emotions bubbled over when you were late to lunch one day and found a girl way too close to Qiu..

How are you supposed to react? Your anxiety about being an inadequate partner was telling you to run off and find solace in loneliness or Tamarack, but your clinginess was screaming about everything.

You ended up just standing there until Qiu noticed, saying goodbye before jogging over to where you were standing.

You were considerably more clingy than you had been from that point on.

You’d text him at least once at any moment, checking your phone constantly and anxiously. You’d volunteer to go everywhere and anywhere with Qiu, not letting them get a word in before you joined. 

Who doesn’t follow their partner on social media? Who doesn’t obsessively check their page to see if there’s anything – anyone – new there?

Don’t forget all the talk about being together forever. You debated proposing at graduation, but they chuckled and said that would be too much to celebrate in one day.

It’s meant well at first. They barely notice the change in your relationship. Qiu just figured that you were extra in love.

You, on the other hand, were just anxious and worried and always thinking that you had to prove to Qiu that you were good enough, even if they always greeted and parted with a sweet kiss.

It all comes to a head when they left to go ‘hang out with a friend in town’ and you nearly burst into jealous tears. 

You called him not even thirty minutes later to ‘chat.’ Qiu was a little confused and hung up rather quickly after saying they’d be back later that night.

When he finally showed up you practically threw their jacket off and checked for any signs that someone else had done something to him. Your anxiety about being cheated on had been chewing away at you all evening.

Qiu actually pushed you away and asked what was wrong and why you had been acting so weird, and that’s when the dam broke and you started crying. You pathetically all your swirling, anxious thoughts.

When your tears finally stopped coming you looked at them expecting anger or annoyance, but all you were met with was gentleness as they pulled you into their arms and started whispering to you about how much they loved you and how you were all he ever needed to feel loved.

From that point on, they always paid a little extra attention to the little details in your body language and mood.

They also never failed to (gently) let you know when you started to go a bit overboard with your fears, always being sure to reassure and remind you that you can always let them know how you feel.

Qiu is ALWAYS touching you in some way whenever he’s with you too. Your bringing up your anxieties highlighted his own about feeling like he wasn’t doing enough for you.

Hand holding, soothing and well-timed kisses, an arm around your shoulder, clothing swaps, the list goes on.

If you aren’t really a fan of PDA, believe that they’re always standing more than a little close when they notice your mood shift. They’ll also give you a quick peck when no one’s looking, or even lace your pinkies together.

Cuddles are the time when he really lays it on thick, hands caressing your back and lips brushing against you, gentle words of comfort falling from his lips.

There are times when Qiu has to be firm with boundaries or remind you that it’s good for you to do things on your own.

It’s a bit of a hurdle, but eventually, you start to unwind from the clingy and anxious habits.

Tamarack Baumann ~

Tamarack hasn’t ever really been as outgoing as Qiu until maybe step 3, and even that is a stretch. Tbh I see her as someone who’s accepted friends into her circle as they come, rather than go looking for them.

Also, with the kind of person she is, I imagine you’re clingy because of your anxiety.

With Tamarack I feel like you’d be a little more direct and less secretive/guilty about it.

She’s always given off the aura of understanding, a friend first and foremost above all else.

You’d be anxious over her finding someone better of course, especially if you two didn’t partake in the same hobbies. What if she meets someone who aligns with her more than you ever will, despite your years of history?

Tamarack is strangely perceptive though. An attribute of living with her strangely vague and indirect grandparents?

Whatever it is, your anxieties never really go unnoticed despite your efforts.

“Hey (Y/N), what’s on your mind?”

There are some things that go unnoticed until it comes to a head of course – especially your clinginess. Tamarack’s been known you for years, at some point your habits would become a lot less noticeable.

You’d ask her a lot about her day. What did she do? Who did you hang out with? Where were you?

It was never meant to be suffocating at all, and for a while it hadn’t been.

Tamarack herself hadn’t picked up on the way your behaviors were affecting her until her omi made a small comment on how funny it was that recently she’d started talking about everything she’d done that day at the table again. She hadn’t done that since the beginning of middle school.

For a while, it kept Tamarack thinking. What made her start all that again? Why did she feel a little guilty if she didn’t tell you something? More and more thoughts ran through her head until she realized your behavior was the cause.

She wasn’t mad about it at all though. Maybe a little bit annoyed that she hadn’t caught on sooner, but it was more sympathetic emotions than any other kind.

On one of your pre-planned hangout days, she figures it’s time to address everything going on, even if it isn’t easy.

She sits you both down with some tea and snacks outside like usual when she brings it up. When she did, she noticed that even you were shocked.

It took some time working past the initial wall of denial and anxiety, however, you both reached a comfortable point in your conversation where Tamarack suggested things that she hopes will help you rely on her a little less. You also become able to communicate with her much healthier than you had been.

She’s always here for you, just remember that other people are too and that there are plenty of activities to do together and separately.

With time she notices you’re a lot less codependent, and she makes sure to tell you how proud she is of you for it.

My personal HC is that Tamarack is a little awkward with PDA and affection in general, so that’s why there’s a lot less of that in here. It’s also another reason I could imagine you being so clingy and anxious about your relationship.

Despite her difficulty with affection, she remembers some of your own soul-searching you did before confessing that you wish she was a little more affectionate.

With time, you both reach a much better point of both communication and satisfaction in the relationship. You’ve been doing a little more things on your own or with others which helps quiet your still-standing thoughts, and Tamarack has slowly nudged her way into a level of affection that felt just right with plenty of room for improvement.

Relationships are always in a growing stage, just like people are too. If either of you starts slipping up, it’s reassuring to know that while you won’t be coddled and held the entire way, there’s a hand willing to help you up and brush off the dust from the fall.

let's start w a banger-

cove has nipple piercings.

here's how i imagine this happening,

he's 27-29, and he sees a lot of people on social media getting their nipples pierced or seeing nipple piercings when buying/looking at new earrings

in the end i think he caves and while youre at work or school, thinking youre gonna come back to your sweet golden retriever boyfriend; he goes n gets his nips pierced

(he either did this somewhat spontaneously or it took weeks or months to psych himself up, theres no inbetween)

so when you come home, you see cove shirtless, laying in bed on his phone, with sparkly studs in his nips <3

speaking of. i also think he could have gauges. nothing big! about 9mm

Hello, I’m new to your blog and saw some of your Xenophanes and MX content. I recently saw your new post about GB and I wanted to request something with him and Turmoil. So on the Mario’s Madness wiki it says the Turmoil and GB are friends. So I thought what if GB and Turmoil were also friends with reader. So Reader is a demonic entity that takes the form of Rosalina (From Super Mario Galaxy). - Honestly I can imagine it being a field day being friends with both GB and Turmoil. Most of it coming from GB and with Turmoil just following along because why not. I like to think that you met GB before Turmoil. You managed to meet GB while you were on your usual rampage of gaining more victims just to play with. Since your character mostly resides in comet observatory which is in space you often find yourself going to earth once in a while which is the time you earn your victims who were foolish enough to fall for your power. One of these times you happened to glance upon the monochrome plumber. Well more like he happened to glance upon you.

- You see as GB just happened to stumble upon you while you were murdering your most recent victim and decided that he was going to bother you. He didn’t have any specific reason except he thought that your powers were interesting. Besides that he just thought ‘I don’t know who they are but I’m going to be they’re friend now’ that was it. So he went up to you admittingly catching you a bit off guard and immediately started a conversation with you as if you didn’t just murdered someone.

+ “Why hello there? Haven’t seen you here before, who are you?” GB said in a sly tone yet cautious although curious to who you were he still had his guard up in case he needed to defend himself. However despite being caught off guard by him you were honestly impressed by his carefree attitude and his natural approach to you. It seems like he doesn’t fear you and that caught your interest. You managed to immediately calm yourself before giving GB a slight smile while looking down at him. “I could say the same as well. Aren’t you aware that I just murdered someone, aren’t you afraid?” You asked curiously why he isn’t running away like everyone to which he gave you a slight chuckle “I’m flattered that you think I'd be scared. Trust me I’ve seen stuff like this” He said looking up at you through his cap with a smug look on his face. You raised an eyebrow at him before speaking up “you’ve seen stuff like this? You caught my interest” You gave him a smile in return before seeing him bring out a hand and started to shake yours “Same here, you can call me GB. If you please be so kind as to tell me your name?” “I’m [Name] pleasure to meet you GB” you said, shaking his hand in return.

- Pretty much since then you two have been inseparable. Like partners in crime. If you were doing something he had to do it as well. If people saw one or the other they always prepared themselves to see the other. That's how much you two hang out with each other. You two just naturally get along despite you mostly being mature for who you were and with how GB is. Guess it’s just how it works.

- For how you met Turmoil you and GB managed to find him in the forest that he resides alongside his recently eaten victims. At first the two of you were surprised to see him. Was a little thing like him able to cause something like this? Apparently so. If you had to admit he was actually kind of cute.

+ You and GB gave each other confused looks as you saw Turmoil staring off into space like he wasn’t even acknowledging you two. Little did the two of you know he technically did acknowledge you two just in a different way, through sound and smell. But later on you two did learn that he was blind. “Are you two my enemies?” The voice that came out of Turmoil surprised the two of you. His voice was gargled like he had swallowed a bunch of razors. Out of you and GB you were the one to speak up first not knowing how your pal may instigate him. You lowered yourself to meet him at eye level before saying “I promise you, whoever you are we aren’t your enemies. Tell me, did you cause this mess?” You could see GB copying your movements lowering himself before asking “yeah did you? If you did then I’ve got to admit I’m impressed” before you know it Turmoil gave off a smile. Nothing sinister, just a genuine smile it was like he was happy to meet you two “oh that’s great, I’m glad to meet new people as long as you two aren’t enemies you won’t end up like them” ‘them’ referring to the multiple koopas, galoombas and wigglers that were scattered across the ground. You gave him a nod before asking “I’m curious what is your name, little one?” “Turmoil you can call me Turmoil” you gave him a smile although he couldn’t see it he could sense it that you were “what’s yours and the man standing next to you names?” He asked to which you told your name and GB’s name to him. It seemed like GB was pleased to see someone Turmoil.

- You thought that it was chaotic with just you and GB. Well prepare yourself because it’s going to be a lot more chaotic with Turmoil around. Although the three of you have the same motives it seems like GB and Turmoil have the same personality while you were calm and mature when you aren’t claiming lives like them but you don’t mind it. In fact you find it more fun with the two of them compared to others. Do you know that one meme where a dude is struggling to keep his children with their harness on? Well that’s basically the three of you with you occasionally being the dude and the other two being the children.

- I like to think that Turmoil kind of acts like a dog around you. I’m pretty sure that it’s canon or maybe was canon that although he still has some humanity left in him he still can go overboard. You tend to notice him following you around. Due to him being blind he often relies on echolocation and his great sense of smell to know not just you or GB but pretty much anyone especially his enemies. Although he can and does that he also prefers to stick around either you or GB just for some familiarity. But he can manage just by himself.

- Be prepared to look down at the two of them all the time. If I’m correct Rosalina has a canon height of 7ft or at least around 7ft and with you being a demonic entity you can make yourself even taller than that if you wanted to. I like to think that GB has the same height as Mario, possibly shorter but only by an inch or so but in his true form is only a bit taller than his non evil counterpart but not taller than you. Obviously Turmoil will be shorter than the both of you combined so regardless of Rosalina’s canon height or your height you’ll have to look down at him no matter what. To be honest even though you're his best pal he kind of hates the height difference between you and him. He’s often the jokester between the three of you but as soon as you tease him about his height he gets pouty. Kinda funny if you imagine it. For Turmoil he couldn’t care less. He’s pretty much used to people being taller than him. Plus I don’t think he realise how tall you are unless you tell him directly but regardless even before then he has some sort of knowledge that you were tall. Sometimes when he is bored he likes to climb on you and rest on your shoulders to which you just let him.

- Since Rosalina has her Lumas and with you being her demonic counterpart you have your version of Lumas as well just more demonic than the original. They are like your little helpers telling you things about your victims, giving you information best suited for you and warning you of anyone going after you which is rare but regardless they tell you.

- GB absolutely loves your little minions treating them like they were his pet. Gently tickling them with the tip of his fingers as they rest in his hand. Turmoil on the other hand may have accidentally almost eaten one of your Lumas before getting told off by you telling him that they belong to you and aren’t enemies (I know in canon they aren’t enemies to Mario but this isn’t the canon Mario universe). But besides that they actually get along with each other. Sometimes Turmoil likes to fly around on the bunch of them because why not.

- All and all despite the contrast in personality between the three of you, you lot are the best of friends and often get into shit with you getting all of you out of said shit that the other two manage to convince and rope you into.

a/n: I have no excuse other than that i’ve been playing ol:ba and I’m down bad for ocean boy. fair warning some things are canon so I’d just be elaborating on said canon.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Going to start this off by saying I’ll try not to deviate from canon when I don’t have to. He’s clingy, he’s incredibly affectionate by nature and that really doesn’t change as he grows up. His canon primary love languages are words of affirmation and gift giving and I do stand by that, though I imagine for the former he tends to stumble over his words a lot. Personally, I feel physical touch is also a big thing for him once he’s more comfortable. He likes being on both the giving and receiving end of this.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

If you’re reading this you’ve likely played the game, so as for how it starts… you know. That aside, golden retriever levels of loyalty. Definitely the “made me think of you” person, so sends you memes when he finds them and gets you little trinkets for that same reason. You’re like his favorite person and he’ll try to spend as much time as possible with you.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Absolutely loves cuddles. On the couch, in bed. He’ll take any opportunity to hold you in his arms. Generally he’s the big spoon but he’s not at all opposed to being little spoon. Also a very big fan of any position where the two of you are facing each other. He can hold and be held at the same time?? Amazing. Expect to feel a pair of lips on you when you cuddle.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Definitely wants to settle down with his partner. I mean, c’mon the dialogue about wanting to get married? He wants it all. He’s fine when it comes to cleaning, he’ll do what needs to be done. As for cooking, he’s okay. He can manage cooking just fine but it’s not his favorite thing to do and it’s not something he’d say is part of his skillset. He tries his best, though. Prefers to have you with him in the kitchen.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

He’s gonna want to do it face to face, and while I feel he’d be pretty direct about it, he’d want to talk about it as well. He’d be the type to be distant during the period leading up to it, spending a lot of time thinking about how he’d even bring it up. Because god forbid he loses his best friend over this.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

I touched on this for D already but here goes. He 100% wants to commit and get married. The question on when would depend on how long you’ve been together. He wouldn’t mind a long engagement, either. However, early to mid 20s is ideal. He wants to be able to refer to you as his spouse as soon and for as long as possible.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He’s a sentimental man. There’s no other way to describe how he is emotionally. His emotions get the better of him a fair amount, though it used to be worse for him growing up. However for his partner, he’s mush. He mellowed out but the way he tears up over how you’re his? That sure has been consistent. Physically, he’s the same. Just a softie. His hugs may be tight sometimes but that’s about as tough as he gets for the most part. Big friendly giant and a gentle soul.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He does, though only with the people closest to him and namely his partner (you in this case, ahem). Having said that, he’ll like hugs plenty. He initiates them a fair amount in the comfort of your own home(s), and when the situation calls for it elsewhere. His hugs are warm and gentle, and one thing he does do, especially during long hugs, is to rub the other person’s back. Also you can’t tell me he doesn’t rest his head against you in some way. He’s gotta.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

There is. Canon for this, so. Hm.

Changing the question to “how would he say it”, and I’m gonna deviate from canon. Because. Yeah. What stays true is that he’d be pretty casual about it. Not… “goodnight, I love you” casual but. Don’t expect him to show up with 100 red roses, and a note saying he loves you. Loving you is something he does quietly, and I feel when he does finally say it out loud it’s because he simply can’t contain it and keep it to himself anymore. Whether it’s something he just blurts out or has to work up to… it’s a mix of both. He “wants” to just blurt it out, kind of. Because he feels that’s the most natural route to take. He’s just waiting to burst p much.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

If it’s a well established relationship, he doesn’t really get jealous. If anything, he trusts you, he just doesn’t always trust the people you’re with. New relationship? If volunteers or classmates or colleagues or whatnot are particularly chatty with you? He might get a bit antsy and irritated and if it goes on for long enough he’ll try and direct your attention to him instead. But he generally doesn’t admit to feeling jealousy. Not that it’s necessary, the two of you grew up together, you know him inside and out.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

He likes if not loves them. Maybe a little too much and for that reason he doesn’t initiate them as much - afraid it’s “too often”. Please reassure him. Anyway, his kisses are sweet. He likes to linger and smile against your lips. Smile against his and he’ll be putty in your hands. “Hands cupping your face and caressing your cheeks while kissing you and humming against your lips” kind of person. “I gotta do something rq so I need a goodbye kiss” kind of person. He’ll steal a peck in those situations. Prefers to kiss and be kissed on the lips, but anywhere on his face makes him all mushy. Especially his forehead. Apart from lips, he likes to kiss you on the corner of your mouth and cheeks.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He’s okay. He can get along with them alright, but he can get in his head about if he’s being a good example and if he’s handling them well. If he’s around them more frequently he adjusts well and kids would end up taking a liking to him as well. As for having one of his own… it really depends on the relationship and his partner.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

He’s either awake way before you, or the two of you wake up together and decide to stay in bed for “five more minutes”. In the case of the latter, it’s spent cuddling, “how’d you sleep? Any crazy dreams?”, talking about what either of you has planned for the day. He prefers them this way, however if he’s awake he’s awake and he then won’t hesitate to enjoy the extra bit of sunlight he gets so early in the morning.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Similar to mornings, some easy chatter, cuddles, discussing plans for the following day, discussing the day that’s ending, etc. If the two of you have spent a lot of time apart that day he’ll make sure to use the time with you that he has then well. So lots of (physical) affection next to cuddles as well. And as goofy as he can get during evenings, it’s also the time where the more serious talks happen. Though there’s plenty of nights where it’s just calm and quiet, the two of you merely enjoying the other’s presence.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

“Fuck around and find out”, is how I’d probably describe it. And otherwise, he reveals things about himself as time goes on and when it’s relevant. Other than times where he randomly remembers something and he decides to tell you because he either thinks it’s funny, or because it might be important. He doesn’t “make you wait” to learn about things. Not on purpose anyway.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Short answer: not very easily at all. Longer answer: if it has to do with the people most dear to him, he can get incredibly pissy but it’s always justified. He can get frustrated, sure. And that can easily be mistaken as anger, s u r e. But if he’s actually angry you’ll know. Overall, not someone with much of a temper.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He remembers. He always makes sure to. How else is he going to know what trinkets to get you? What memes to send you? Which of your interests to ask about? Where to take you on surprise dates? Yaddah yaddah. He actually remembers a lot. The tiniest things that you’ve long forgotten about, he remembers them. …for the most part. He can be incredibly forgetful as well but the amount of things he remembers about you more than makes up for that.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

He wouldn’t be able to pick one. The day you met, the day you got together, the first kiss you shared, the first time you exchanged “I love you”s… they’re all so important to him and for that reason, also some of his favorites. However if you asked, he’d probably say it’s the day you two met. Or the time your families went to the market together. The ditching part was less fun, but he cherishes how right it felt back then to run errands together. Just the two of you.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Fairly protective but not overly. He just wants to make sure you’re safe and well. If you go out during the evening and he’s not around he wants to make sure you’re safe and all in any way he can do please text him to let you know you arrived at your destination in one piece. And let him know when you’re leaving. Would go out of his way to pick you up to ensure you make it home safe. And as much as he doesn’t think it’s necessary, he appreciates when you return those gestures.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He tries his best. Hell, for anniversaries and stuff he’d probably even take the day off to take you somewhere for the day. It’s like the Happiness moment all over again. If and when he can he goes all out, not just for anniversaries but regular dates as well. Just because you two are stable doesn’t mean he’s going to stop making an effort- hell no. As for gifts, the smaller ones he gets you cause they made him think of you. Larger gifts, like anniversary or birthday ones? He ponders about it for AGES, but if he knows there’s something you really want he’ll get it asap. Everyday tasks I feel I don’t have to get into much, like I said he’s not going to stop making an effort. You’re with him and he doesn’t take that for granted for even a second.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Leaving sand everywhere, but considering… him, it’s kind of what you signed up for. And if he’s anything like me he struggles to hydrate himself so please remind him to drink some water. Last one would probably be that he can get pretty stuck in a thought pattern. It’s more of the “I just want you to be happy and I worry about how happy I can make you” as was touched on in canon, but still. Please reassure him.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not at all. He’s not insecure about his looks but he wouldn’t say he’s particularly attractive or anything. That aside, if it’s for dates and stuff he will be concerned about his looks. He wants to look good for you. Impress you. He doesn’t care how long you two have been going out, either. TLDR; generally, for himself, he doesn’t care. For you? Hell yeah.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

While I don’t believe he’s the type of person to think he’s incomplete without a partner, yes. I do feel like he’d feel incomplete without you. You’ve been a part of his life for so long, you’re his best friend. His partner. Maybe even the most important person in his life. If he were to suddenly lose that yes definitely feel incomplete and lost.

That aside, I bet he listens to rock and metal. Not like, death metal or anything industrial, but some alternative rock and metal? Sure. Lo-fi stuff, as well as synthwave and adjacent genres are more his thing though. Easy to listen to.

It’s canon that he wouldn’t really like a partner who’s set on things always being clean. Cove wants a house to look lived in so that’s one thing. He doesn’t like it when people cancel on plans often, either. Especially at the very last minute. And poor communication? Big no as well.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Usually, he’s an early sleeper and an early riser. Wants as many hours in the sun as possible. Nothing wrong with that per se. The issue is that he’s an early riser even if he’s gone to bad l a t e the night before. 8h of sleep a night? Don’t know her. This is also a bad habit, hm. He has to cuddle with his partner, maybe not fall asleep cuddling per se, but before then? Definitely. It’s kind of how he unwinds.

Baxter Ward Headcanon - Lunch Dates

First headcanon, hope ya enjoy!

🍁 Being a wedding planner is no easy feat! From planning bigger details like the wedding theme to smaller details like stainless steel or wooden cutlery. That's where Baxter's diligence, organization, and flexibility (📏) comes in handy!

🍁 However, planning such grand events also means our Victorian emo boy tends to skips out on lunch to get more work done. Especially during bigger assignments!

🍁 Since you know he usually only has a black coffee in the morning, you decide to suggest you both get lunch breaks together! It takes a bit of convincing, he wouldn't want to inconvenience you, but in the end he can't resist a chance to spend more time with his charming MC~

Baxter: "You're worried about me skipping meals? Well, my schedule can get hectic. Are you sure it wouldn't trouble you? I wouldn't want to get in the way of what you have to do… Although I'll admit, a chance to see your charming self sounds lovely. Alright then, having lunch dates sounds excellent~"

🍁 His lunch breaks are an hour long. Before your lunch dates he usually didn't use the full time (only the required 30 min) because…

Baxter: (on the phone) "What do you mean the tablecloths are cotton and not linen?? Linda, stay put, I'm on my way."

However, he does try to remain the whole hour with you when your lunch dates begin. He adjusts letting the wedding couple know he will be gone for an hour, but as soon as the break is over they'll have his undivided attention.

🍁 It takes a bit of getting used to at the beginning. He can't help but check his phone when notifications come in, for example. As long as it's not an emergency, you gently remind him it's his time and to enjoy the snack in front of him.

Baxter: "But darling, you're the whole damn meal~"

🍁 He prefers to eat out rather than stay in the office. To avoid co-workers asking questions that lead to him helping to find that one file, and answer that call, oh and he has to call this one place-

🍁 He quickly comes to look forward to your little lunch dates. Seeing how passionately you talk about your interests and the smile on your face when you eat your favorite snack has him smitten!!

🍁 You guys are gossip buddies. Neither of you share anything hurtful, but you two also can't help talking about the shenanigans that go on at your respective workplaces.

Baxter: "One morning Michael came in complaining about a speed bump on the highway…I ponder who he ran over." (Sips coffee casually)

🍁 Baxter's eyes sparkle if you surprise him with a homemade meal. Especially touched if you remember his preferences; such as something pescatarian or something with peaches. You don't have to worry about your cooking skills, your intention matters more to him! His co-workers will notice he's extra chipper that afternoon.

🍁 In return, he'll also prepare a lunch for both of you the night before. He plans to make something that's only a "tad" extra, but always gets carried away and creates the most Instagram/Pinterest worthy aesthetic lunches you ever did see.

Baxter: "It's just a little something to thank you for the other day." 💜

🍁 You both agree to meet at a chill little park near work when you make lunches for each other. You have a special picnic blanket for the occasion that's so comfy you almost lose track of time.

🍁 On days where you can't meet up, you either face call each other or simply text each other to make sure the other has eaten.

💬 Yes, darling I just finished off lunch. It was great, I would've enjoyed it far more with your company, but alas! How about you, have you eaten yet?

🍁 Sometimes you send donuts, muffins and other treats to Baxter's office where he shares with his co-workers. His co-workers like you very much for this reason, haha! It also gives Baxter the opportunity to make more friends.

🍁 Over lunch, he occasionally brings up some wedding planning hitches. You help him figure out solutions when he's stumped.

Baxter: "Darling you're brilliant! Perhaps you're due for a reward? Are you free tonight? I'd love to show you my gratitude~"

Overall, meeting for lunch gives you both another opportunity to take care of each other. He feels the stress melt away as soon as he sees his favorite person and it makes his lunch that much sweeter.

In the beginning, he’d be a bit intimidated by your attitude.

He might’ve avoided you when he first arrived in Sunset Bird , already making the judgment that you wouldn’t be that pleasant to be around.

That's until he meets you!

Cove noticed that you were much more softer and nicer with him than most people.

You wouldn’t be mean to him like you were with people who you weren’t as close with

And you would avoid rebelling or breaking rules when he was around to make sure he didn’t get in trouble for it.

Of course, you were still you. But with Cove around you were mellow.

Your moms notice how quickly your demeanor changes when he is in the general area.

One minute you could be telling somebody off and then the next you would be hugging Cove and asking him how his day was and if he wanted to get a snack later.

Cove would worry that you might get into serious trouble one day, which you reassured that you wouldn’t.

Depending on what comfort level Cove is: Cold, Medium, or Warm; this might just work for the two of you.

Cold Cove wouldn’t mind as much since he isn’t that social and rather be in your company anyway. Not that he is condoning it.

Medium Cove is a bit more awkward and less defined, he doesn’t want people to be put off and avoid you.

Warm Cove is probably the most understanding, he understands that's just how you are. If you didn’t like being nice to strangers then so be it, if you didn’t want to follow some rule then that's ok. Warm Cove would encourage you to be more social though, he wants you to have friends.

Cove appreciates that you are softer to him though, I don’t think he could handle you being genuinely mean to him.

You and Cove have fun though, It's a interesting contrast to see the two of you together.

Their reaction depends on what stage of their life they are in.

Step 1 Qiu might be the TINEST bit nervous, also worried that you might get into trouble or get on somebodies bad side with your behavior

Qiu, of course, is very welcoming and polite still. You may be mean to everybody else but you aren’t to them.

They get a little smug about how you are softer and seem to favor them more than most people.

Like Of course you like their company, Everyone does!

Qiu tries and get other people to see your softer side but you don’t put down your walls for them.

Qiu during Step 2, is a completely different story though.

They just go “same💀”

You two probably skip school all the time and it starts to get concerning and your parents start enforcing it more.

You two get into a bit of trouble…(mostly loitering, you two aren’t getting into anything serious lmao)

Qiu understands your attitude more the older they get. Sometimes some people don’t deserve your time and sometimes some people deserve your kindness

It's a self-preservation, At least that's how the two of you understand it.

While everybody else worries, you and Qiu are just chilling.

They like having someone around who can match their energy.

TAMARACK BAUMANN🍂

Step 1 Tamarack wouldn’t like you at first, Or at the very least be indifferent.

She would want you to be nice to everyone, not just her.

She does brag a bit that you are only softer towards her.

She also has a rebellious side as well, you two get into lots of shenanigans together and cause lots of mischief all the time.

Your mom and her grandparents def put leashes on you two.

It's always kiddy fun.

Once again, Step 2 is another story.

Based on her interaction with Qiu, If you were similar to being mean to others and causing trouble then she would be disappointed

But she’s less awkward around you and tries to encourage you to be more nice or at least a bit more sociable.

Tamarack knows that you can be one of the most softest and kindest people she knows, you’ve watched her back and been there when it got tough

And she wants people to see that rare side of you, but she understands that you are just not interested or in the mood to be nice or to follow rules.

Depending on how rebellious you are, even her grandparents may be wary. It was okay when you were kids but your old enough to get yourself and Tamarack into serious trouble.

On a more positive note, Tamarack still enjoys your company. Sure you aren’t that social but you would never say half the stuff you say to strangers to her.

You and Tamarack go out at night and clean graffiti and collect trash as a ‘reverse vandalism’ and you insult people who litter etc.

Tamarack one day does want to see a positive change in you , but for now it’s just the two of you.
