Natasha Romanoff didn't bat her eye at experimental new tech – it was part of the job, after all. So when the SHIELD labrats asked her to test-drive a new holographic simulation... "Why the hell not," was her quick and quippy reply. It was an early developmental prototype of a platform called the Framework, designed by some young SHIELD recruit as a consequence-free space for training simulations.

Seemed innocent enough to give it a whirl.

And again, for Nat, when the training went off the rails and she found herself trapped in an unstable simulated reality... she wasn't surprised. The techs in the surface world would bring her back eventually – all she had to do was stay sane in this troublesome virtual world in the meantime.

As the system continued to glitch out and threw new bugs her way, she was surprised to realize that not all of them were dangerous. When the program duplicated her, that's when she raised her first eyebrow. Now, having been tripled, Nat started to worry.

Although these other Nat simulations seemed pretty laid back, despite her initial concerns. And trapped in a room with three of her, all eager to pass the time... Natasha found herselves game for another type of... experiment.

I was really happy with my first Nat attempt – Love, Natasha – but couldn't help but do more for our girl. I wanted to really give her Avengers-era character a chance to shine 😈.

Tumblr open-sourcing it’s StreamBuilder Framework is great news, but simultaneously terrifying news.

It’s great because this is one step towards integrating into Mastodon like Matt promised, and it could potentially encourage more third-party apps as well as a better first-party experience.

Its terrifying because Automattic has a reputation of open-sourcing a project before it drops it.

Uncertain, but interesting times with lots of potential ahead of us folks.

Before watching Season four I had already read a little bit about the framework, but not enough to understand what's it all about. But I wanted to understand. So, when I started season four, I wished the whole time that the Framework part would begin.

Well, not for long. As soon as Jemma and Daisy entered the Framework, I regretted asking for it. It was just so much worse than I imagined, all five Framework episodes made me really anxious, really wasn't fun. I heard about The Doctor before but damn, Fitz! The whole time I just wanted the old Fitz back and punch his father (well, and AIDA). But we got top acting from Iain De Caestecker, so that's a plus (from everyone really, but especially Iain).

Also, it was a surprisingly nice surprise to see Grant Ward again, I wouldn't have thought that one day I'd be happy to see him and be not angry about everything he does.

On the other hand, the episodes were all absolutely GREAT, it just wasn't fun. Actually, that works for all episodes of season four - great but not fun. I enjoyed it, even when the most present thought was "Don't hurt them, don't hurt ME!"

I did not think I would ever find a 'real' me. I convinced myself that there could not BE a 'real' me at the core of it all, but as I have discovered...

yes- my soul sits at the core of my heart in silence, radiating all the emotions and masks and love and pain I have ever felt. I do not feel the need to be anything else when I am there. Silent. Away from the world. Nothing required of me, no words that need to be said... pure, deep space, a night sky.

It had been... suppressed. Everyone requires communication, but communication is abstraction, which is difficult. Demanded words from me, demand to know what is on my mind, demanded to know that I was and what I am by the world and people around me... and lost myself trying to figure it out.

I want to be there. even if it's selfish, even if it freaks people out, even if people try to reach out to me worried I'm sad or angry or just unhappy... but it isn't the case. Me, in silence, is me in bliss. And that's what it's like to unmask...
