DC character headcanons, cuz why not.

I’m really bored in class, and I said forever ago I might do this. So, here’s DC characters and my hcs for them (ethnicity, gender, sexuality, etc).

Bruce Wayne: Half-Jewish (mothers’ side, see Kane family). Pansexual. He/Him.

Dick Grayson: Romani. Bisexual. He/Him, but is fine with They/Them.

Jason Todd: Hispanic from his mother’s side (Sheila and Catherine). Unlabeled, but dates any gender. He/They.

Tim Drake: Wasian, Chinese from his mother’s side. Bisexual, leans towards men. He/They.

Duke Thomas: Half African American, Half whatever his dad (Gnomon) is. Demi bisexual. He/Him.

Damian Wayne: Jewish and Caucasian from Bruce’s side, Mixed Arabic and Chinese from Talia. Unlabeled, just likes whoever. He/Him.

Clark Kent: Kryptonian, though raised American. Bisexual. He/They/Ze. Though is open to most masculine or genderless pronouns, as krypton has a different expression of gender (this is a headcanon of mine)

Conner Kent/Kon-El: Kryptonian from Clark, has some German and American from Luthor. Homosexual. Genderfluid. He/Him or any masculine or genderless pronouns.

Jonathan “Jon” Kent: Kryptonian from Clark, some Latino and Caucasian from Lois. Unlabeled, just likes whoever. He/They.

Barry Allen: Might be Jewish (has described himself as an attractive Jewish boy). Bisexual. He/Him.

Wally West: Caucasian, American. Pansexual. He/Him, but is fine with They/Them.

Bart Allen: Caucasian, American. Omnisexual, but leaning towards men. He/Him, but is fine with They/Them or Xe/Xem.

Hal Jordan: Half-Jewish (mothers’ side) though raised catholic (fathers’ side). Unlabeled, just likes whoever. He/They/Xe, is fine with any masculine or genderless pronouns, as many alien languages don’t have multiple pronouns.

Guy Gardner: Caucasian American for the most part, but is a descendant of the space-traveling Vuldarians, so he’s part Alien. Queer. He/Him, but is fine with They/Them or many other pronouns used by alien species.

Oliver Queen: Caucasian, American. Pansexual. He/Him but is fine with They/Them.

Roy Harper: Caucasian, but adopted by and raised Navajo. Unlabeled, just likes whoever he likes. He/Him.

Michael Jon Carter (Booster Gold): Half-Jewish, through his Levin ancestors. (Confirmed by Jeff Katz). Omnisexual. Genderqueer. He/She/They, any pronouns, though used He/Him for the most part since its easier for others.

Ted Kord (Blue Beetle): Might be Jewish (Again from Jeff Katz). Demi Bisexual. He/Him, but is fine with They/Them.

You know when Bart figures out how to manipulate his aging with his connection to the Speed Force like Eobard can he is going to use that to his full advantage. Particularly for getting free food or a child's discount in restaurants. His only problem is getting someone he knows to actually go along with the deception because he needs an adult to take him in the first place and Kon just refuses to because it's weird to him and Wally is too busy, but Hartley will 100% of the time and they play it up the cringiest way possible larping as the most obnoxious father and son duo for the sole reason that it annoys Wally.

FlashFam headcanons! Barry and Wally have scars from where they were struck by lightning. All the FlashFam have scars somewhere- accelerated healing means they can heal otherwise certainly fatal injuries before they get a chance to bleed out, but it's not perfect and it does still leave scars, especially the big injuries.

You get a bonus headcanon about swimwear--Barry wears those 50's style speedos with the high waist, because they're old fashioned and kinda weird but also flattering and that's what I go for when I'm dressing him. Wally wears moderately short trunks. So! I actually have this headcanon myself but I attempted Lichtenberg figures on Barry once, failed miserably, and never tried it again til recently on a piece that's too spicy to post. Barry and Wally both have scars from their lightning strike (and they slightly resemble their individual Flash emblems).

One personal DC headcanon I have that I haven’t seen mentioned around is that most speedsters end up learning sign language pretty early on after getting speedforced. For us the difference doesn’t really matter, but when you can travel at the speed of light waiting for sound to reach your ears gets really tedious real fast.

More Jaybart headcanons bc I'm still bored, In case you are curious, here is the 1st part.

Jason looks a lot like his father, and he hates it. He is basically a copy of this man he hates, same face, same eyes, same physical size and he believes that even in small habits and gestures. The thing he hates most are his eyes, which are identical to his father's. He always avoids looking in the mirror, because the only thing he can see in his reflection is his father's face. The first thing that Bart noticed in Jason were the eyes, Bart thought they were so beautiful that he unintentionally ended up telling him that. At first Jason thought it was a joke, bc obviously no one would simply say to someone 'you have beautiful eyes’ out of nowhere like Bart had done, but he really meant it and Jason realized it. He still doesn't like his eyes, he still can't look at his reflection for too long, but when he remembers the first thing Bart said when they met he feels a little good about it.

One of the reasons Jason started dying his hair white is precisely to have something to remind him that he is not his father, it works. Looking in the mirror is more tolerable on days when that little streak of white is present. Bart has already helped him dye his hair a few times, he always goes to the pharmacy and buys the dye (and some gum for himself)

Bart steals Jason's hoodies in the winter and never gives them back.

They are both VERY competitive, sometimes the smallest things end up becoming a big competition between them, who wins the most in mario kart, who can irritate Tim the fastest etc

Jason is the one who kills the spiders, Bart would probably try to adopt them bc he thinks they're cool bugs

Bart is a formula 1 fan, he likes McLaren and is a Hamilton, Leclerc and Piastri fan. Jason doesn't give a shit about it, but sometimes asks Bart how the race is going and who is winning (he doesn't understand why Bart doesn't support Verstappen since his winning every race, it would definitely be easier)

Bart is the most punctual person in the flashfam, while Jason is the most late in the Batfam.

Dick jokes about Jason liking gingers just like him.

Jason loves listening to Bart talk about all possible topics, because he likes the way his voice sounds and the way he gets excited when he says something he likes.

Kon asked once what made Bart fall in love with Jason and he said very seriously 'his money’. Tim asked the same other day and he said, ‘Well, your brother is really hot, Tim.’ For Cassie, he told it was his dark sense of humor. But the truth was that Jason understands Bart in a way no one else ever could.

Jason has no idea what made him fall in love with Bart, he just did it.

Bart once changed Jason's phone’s wallpaper to a picture of him. As much as Jason says he hates it, he still hasn’t changed it.

Don't know if you've read it before, but "Iris West and the Multiple Ressurections of Eobard Thawne" by poppiesandsunflowers is delightful and also very much in tune to your flashfam headcanons

I had not read the fic, so thanks for the rec! I've read it now, and oh my God it's perfect??? The Iris and Barry characterization, their relationship, then the absolute bastard that is Reverse Flash. Jay is amazing. Little Wally is adorable, and the part where he admits he's scared of his parents...God. Plus Barry being an insatiable mother-hen (as he should be) then the truth-or-dare sleepover scene while Wally groans in agony—perfect.

"Barry has superspeed, Wally’s ginger, and Iris will undoubtedly spend at least one day every month with her trusted shovel in hand, wishing she was watching shitty reality TV instead." Wally being ginger is one of the facts of life Iris just has to accept 😭

THE PROPOSAL SCENE IS PRECIOUS.

This is awesome speedster writing and I love the way the speed is described, the lightning and how it coincides with their emotions.

Anyway take some cute misc headcanons as I try not to vomit :

- kon wearing those dumb ass booty shorts that they tend to sell on boardwalks for some reason (at least the one I’ve gone to all my life) that says something in big white text on the back like “I love my boyfriend” and people suspect oh who could possibly be this hunks boyfriend? An even bigger himbo? And then they see Bart stroll over casually in all his twink ass nature and they hold hands and just continue about their day . Silly but cute in a way. And I absolutely love the idea of those dumb fucking booty shorts with kon rocking them

- in a scenario/au/whatever with bby bart and thad they behave for most people in the flashfam. And for some reason both boys ADORE Linda. Barts sort of neutral about Wally but if they’re being watched by both Wally and Linda Thad will kick and punch and BITE Wally any chance he gets with no remorse. With Linda though? Little angel. Bart won’t hurt Wally but he probably doesn’t really listen to him and it’s just funny to imagine

- uhhh so I don’t have a basis or reasoning for this one but I like to think Jesse (chambers/quick/whatever her current Alias is) is a lesbian. That’s all. No one with an ass that good is straight.

- yj “girls” nights but the boys are also invited and do typically “girly” things like painting their nails, sharing secrets, braiding hair, etc. and also brutal pillow fights with no remorse between the entire team. Cissie Cassie Greta and Anita sleep in like a cute little huddled way meanwhile kon Bart and tim are literally like a ball of various limbs in a weird pretzel way but somehow they’re all comfortable. Slobo….uhhhhh….i don’t actually know but he’s there too

- timkonbart matching bracelets

- Mel taking care of Barts hair : ) . Teaching him what products to use, how to deal with its VOLUME and CURLS. How to do some cute ass styles. I’m a big believer in curly haired Bart okay. I dont know the hair type/hair pattern chart by heart but he probably has loose curls. Not super loose but definitely not straight or even close to straight

- adding onto that kon and Bart doing each others hair and having matching clips/burets/ etc
