"I made a habit of checking in on my dad. I know it wasn't my responsibility, but ever since I almost lost him...I just need to. Typically, he would be lounging around sleeping in the house or ordering people around as the new Alfather, though he hates the title and perfers King instead. But if I hadn't found him by his snoring or loud voice alone, then I knew what that meant. He would be where he used to be. Expect here in this new realm, he would just stare at the cup of mead instead of drinking it. I knew he needed help. So I took him out and told him I wanted to spend the day with him. And that's what we did.

We did all sorts of foolish things. Like how I bet him that he couldn't eat out the whole bakery. Turns out he really could. Probably way more. I didn't know what was more immpressive, his stomach or his strength.

Oh, and then we went to work out! I mean, we do that every other morning anyway, but it's always fun to do it. There are these heavy ass stones to carry around. Even with all my strength, I struggle to carry them. All the while, Fadir carries it around like nothing. However, I did make some progress with my fathers help. I ACTUALLY CARRIED IT THIS TIME!

Then after that we went and sat by the local pond. There, he told me stories about how he would cradle me in his arms when I was younger. It looked to have made him happy. And sad. I made sure to hug him. He seemed surprised at first, but he leaned into it. He held me with a strong grip. Very strong, it felt as if he was holding onto me for dear life.

"I'm sorry, thrud," he would say.

And all I could say back was "I love you, Fadir."

And he would say it back. "I love you too Thrudie".

Happy fathers Day, everyone! Not that it's the most joyous day for me, but I still wanted to draw something specifically for my favorite Nordic gals. I've been drawing a lot. I just never post. I'm excited to post something else real soon. I think I'm getting the hang of my style. Kinda.

Oh and this is my headcannon of what I wanted to happen. Thor and the rest of the surviving aesir realize they can't stay in Vanaheim cause of the animosity so they decide to travel to a new realm, Thrudvang which thrud named herself. There they rebuilt...(after killing a giant beast there)... and made new Nyr Asgard.

(Thrudvang is supposedly Thor's personal realm in mythology, but I like to think Thrud named it after herself:3)
