🔥 The Witcher

Send me a “ 🔥 “ for an unpopular opinion.

Like I said on the last one, I’m super late answering these, but here we go!

I don’t hate the Netflix series. I think that in itself is controversial, lol.

My first real experience with the Witcher franchise was the Netflix series. I’d heard of the games and books, and had even seen some cutscenes and gameplay, either from watching friends play or stumbling across clips. But the Netflix series will always have a place in my heart as the thing that brought me here.

Also, Joey Batey’s Jaskier is my favorite Jaskier, I’m sorry except I’m not sorry you cannot change that. I know he’s wildly different than every other iteration of the character, but I don’t care. He’s my favorite. He’s canonically pansexual and he drinks respect women juice (especially in comparison to Book!Jaskier/Dandelion 😬) and he has so much chemistry with the whole cast and his voice is fucking beautiful!

Whether or not The Witcher Netflix is good is subjective. But I will always love it. (Or at least the first 3 seasons.)

2. What's your shortest fic? What's your longest?

The shortest is Blindside, a My Hero Academia fic that's basically just Hawks and Rumi fucking around being chaotic friends (with bonus Hawks feels, as usual). It's 1.2k words long!

And the longest is the fic, the myth, the legend: The Sword of Damocles is Swinging, the 60k word Hawks-centric character study that is also the first fic I put out at the beginning of my "I'm Actually Gonna Write Things Now" stage and the word count of which I've never met since (because I'm less wordy now, lmao). It also made me mildly fandom famous among Hawks fans for a bit, and I think also set some trends for Hawks's bird traits, which is always super fucking fun to know. I still look at it very fondly. Yes, the title is a Beetlejuice lyric. And I'd fucking do it again.

7. Is there a character or ship you'd love to write for, but haven't yet?

RADIOAPPLEEEEEEEE I can't fucking. Massage it out of my brain. I'm working on it. I'M WORKING ON IT. It's just that "working on it" looks a lot like "ignoring it and hoping that the lightning of inspiration strikes while I do other things." How the fuck was the appledust so much easier than the radioapple.

You need not apologize for their adoration. I quite enjoy it, and the art is splendid. It's so adorable to watch all the starlings flock to admire me. Some of them have quite... creative ways of displaying their love... But to each their own.

Like now everyone won’t get those spoilers bc I’m disinclined to continue to post them now. Like there’s a reason why I don’t post the full chapters, and now this.

It was bad enough with people on tumblr stealing without credit, but this was the final straw. Especially when my url was in the watermark.

I really wish I could find a solution but it’s not like I can watermark my actual translations, and that’s the part I don’t want stolen without credit lol.

I mean I guess I could if I went and edited it into the images but that’s a lot of work and I know there’s people doing the unofficial scanaltions, and that would be even easier to steal without credit I surmise…

Yes, i can! My secret is that i have AWFUL adhd and tend not to write anything over a certain size bc i know I'll run out of steam quickly lwkckwkckdkc im better at one shots than chapter fics, in fact everything I've written is oneshots. I'd rather do multiple oneshots in a collection than chapter fics purely bc i get so mentally freaked out over chapter fics i end up abandoning them :')

I couldn’t decide whether to give you the lead-up to a kink negotiation or Alastor being Alastor regarding concepts like remorse and feelings.

So here, have both! :3

Content warning for mentions of UH3-typical unrealistic kink, but it’s nothing explicit.

Lucifer was on him in an instant, gripping Alastor’s jaw between his fingers and forcefully tilting his face, angling it downwards so that Alastor’s eyes met his.

The Devil’s voice was like Hell frozen over in its icy calm. “I’ve got half a mind to tear that disobedient tongue right from your mouth,” he said.

“Lucifer,” Alastor purred, his voice slowly filling with static. “Is that a threat or a promise?”

“That depends,” Lucifer replied, releasing his hold on Alastor’s face. The warmth had returned to his words, and his gaze was firm but gentle. “Is it a fantasy or something you actually want?”

Meanwhile, in another UH3 WIP:

Alastor laughed, mirthlessly. “Remorse is for children and weak willed men. I outgrew it by the age of ten!”

“You’re not fooling anybody,” Lucifer teased. “Even if it wasn’t guilt, you felt something. And you were happy to know that you didn’t come between Lilith and I. You’ve got a heart in there after all.”

“Hahaha, on the contrary, my dear friend! While I may indeed have a heart, you’ll find it’s filled to the brim with bloodlust and spite! There’s no room for any of that emotional nonsense you’re blathering on about. I need every bit of it working towards my passion for performance! My romance with radio! And of course, my one true love, murder.”

I’m planning on breaking the last paragraph up a bit with some actions in between, but I really wanted to show off that dialogue.

Hi! I Just wanted to say you are awesome! I liked Voltron for a while. Loved the first two seasons, but I felt like the show was derailing from what it set itself up to be, then we got the dumpster fire that is season 7 and I was so upset. This one was tough! None of my WiPs are what I would call funny, exactly. The Witcher a/b/o fic has a joke about biting ears, and one about the word South, but the closest I can currently get to a one-liner is from Robin in the ronance canon-divergence fic:

"Nancy, that girl almost killed me - killed us - with two fingers. Two! And she didn't even have her nails painted or anything."

💔 most heartbreaking line

More ronance, since I've thusfar only hurt anyone the regular amount in the a/b/o fic.

The dial tone is what really gets Robin crying. She presses her forehead to the wall next to the phone and cries, still holding onto it, onto Nancy, until the operator comes on, tells her hang up and try again.
