OMGGG THANK YOU FOR THE SR FOOD 🙏🙏🙏 im back requesting more viktor (already 😼)
maybe something with his reaction to getting a hug from reader for the first time? its been so long since he’s had an emotional connection with anyone, let alone a physical one, so he’s shocked when reader hugs him out of the blue. maybe he gets emotional?? idk how you hc him
THANKS AGAIN HAVE A LOVELY DAY STAY HEALTHY 💪💪💪
IM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG
You get hcs AND a lil drabble
As a treat
Viktor hasn't gotten a hug in a very long time, so getting one from you is definitely. An Experience. One that makes him feel things.
He definitely gets emotional. might cry. Maybe. Probably. Ok, yeah, he's gonna cry at least a little bit. He'll shove his head into the space between your neck and shoulder and try not to, but your hand on his back feels so nice, and it's been forever since he's been touched like this, and he really can't help it.
He's not going to let go. Not for a long time. You might have to relocate to the bed for a nap. He could absolutely fall asleep like this, you're so comfy! And he feels so safe, how could he stay awake?
Hope you finished your chores, because you're... probably not getting up. Unless you can fenagle yourself out of his cuddles, which is... difficult, to say the least- because while Viktor looks scrawny, several years working in the Lab and doing all his own heavy lifting means he's strong.
"Viktor? You okay?"
But why would you even want to leave? You're cuddling your favourite scientist, and it's warm and safe here. You're safe here, in Viktor's arms.
As you wrapped your arms around Viktor's torso, squeezing so tightly he could swear he felt the air rush out of his lungs, he stiffened in shock, startled at the feeling. Feeling his shock, you started to pull away, worried. This was quickly assuaged, as he was quick to pull you back in.
The sweet sound of your voice startled him, and he realized the reason for your concern- his cheeks were wet with tears.
Viktor nodded and nuzzled back into your shoulder, feeling a weight fall off his shoulders with every gentle pass of your hand over his spine. He let out a long sigh, a rush of emotions coming with it. Love, mostly. As well as a strangely pure happiness, something he hadn't felt in decades.
The next thing he felt was you lifting him with a grunt, and his reaction to that was...something to unpack later.
You set Viktor down on the bed, flopping down next to him and snuggling in close. He tugs you closer, holding you against his chest. He feels drowsy, and as he slowly succumbs to sleep, he hears you say something.
"What?"
"I said 'I love you', Vik."
"Mm...I love you too, honey..."
Viktor drifted off to sleep, with you in his arms and feeling the safest he ever had.
Screaming crying throwing up I love him sm

Tim's eyes light up, then, lip ticking up slightly in that way that means Jason said something right, that Tim approves. It hits him then, that Jason wants Tim's eyes to light up like that always.

Now that you've finished Worm, thoughts on Scion?
Honestly a better concept for a final antagonist than I thought. I might initially have thought “oh, Taylor’s final opponent should be someone she has a history with,” but Scion works well as a thematic opposite to Taylor. Pretty much all of Taylor’s strengths and faults center around her desire to get everyone on board with making the world better (or at least not actively worse). Her best moments are refusals to give up on other character’s capacity to help others, her worst moments are the horrifying measures she’ll go to when others aren’t being cooperative. As such, Scion’s great both for representing an antithesis to Taylor, and for effectively pushing Taylor to go down her darkest paths. He’s a being of unfathomable power that cannot be reasoned with whose sole driving force is causing pain, being motivated by little more than ennui. Taylor wants cooperation and peace, Scion wants humanity scattered to the wind in small bands of grieving, warring factions. And rather than abandon her defining ethos in response, Taylor dives so far into it that she loses everything else about herself.
I also appreciate the way his defeat worked on a character level, especially due to how horrifying it was. Even putting aside the mass mind-control for a second: Scion was defeated by making him so confused and upset that he wouldn’t fight back against the one weapon that could really hurt him. He had visions of the only thing he cared about strewn across the landscape, hope given to him and then dashed. It is honestly just as brutal as Taylor’s takedowns of Lung or Valefor. But the best part is, it’s not actually Taylor’s usual modus operandi. Tattletale initiated the strategy by working with Rachel and Amy, and of course she did: systematic psychological disassembly of opponents have always been Lisa’s specialty, even as far back as the bank heist. Lisa was right about how Taylor is completely unable to ask for help, and yet she is incredible at surrounding herself with the people she needs. Taylor was able to triumph ultimately not because she forced everyone to work together, but because of the strengths of the few people she left free, whose relationship with her meant they would always be in her corner.

who is Taran and what is the soul sword? Are those hands souls?
(is so excited to talk abt him rn dhbdb)
Taran is the main character in a fantasy story I'm working on! He becomes the bearer of the soul sword which is like Excalibur inspired magical chosen sword type thing that when it choses a hero it servers the soul from the body and takes it within the sword giving the hero powers but also limitations. The eyes and hands are to represent all the previous 'chosen ones' souls who stay trapped in the sword after their deaths to act as mentors to the next bearer

re the blue lock misogyny: Oh my god LITERALLY I thought I was going crazy when I first read it because I wasn’t rly knowledgeable abt soccer as a whole but I was pretty sure that japans womens team was good and to see it be completely cut out is INSANE. (I googled it after reading and WDYM their highest ranking was 3rd????) Not to mention the treatment of the single female character in the manga is also ridiculous…. The fact that no one was mentioning it made me feel like I was going crazy actually 😭😭
if it weren't so misogynistic it'd actually be hilarious to me how often various bluelock characters harp on about how Japan is shit at football meanwhile the Japanese women's national team are literally the best in Asia. Also yeah, the way Anri is either sexualised or treated like a bumbling idiot who knows nothing so Ego has an excuse to mansplain football to her even though she literally works for the JFU and the bluelock project is like, at least half her idea too, I hate it I hate it I hate it free my girl!!! 😭😭

Hi hi! Can you do TFA Bumblebee x gn! cybertronian reader where they're just having a silly wrestling competition? Bee boasted bout him being the best at it and reader wanted to put that to a test so they sparred, with Sari on the sideline cheering them on when Bee tripped over something or with his pedes that he missteps. He fell down onto reader and ended in an awkward position. Both become a blushing mess after Sari snapped a picture to show to others 🎀
SCREAMING SCREAMING SCREAMING THIS IS SO FUCKING CUTE OMG
I'll have this out soon!!! (If I don't just bug me lol)
I'm guessing you want reader about the same size as bee??

Hi! I saw on one of your polls that you included Noa Olivar from Pretty Little Liars Original sin, would I be ale to send a request for that Fandom? I just wanted to ask bc I didn't see it in your list for who you write for
-🍒
Hey! Thank you so much for asking. I used to write for PLL, but there just wasn't enough traction and I kind of lost inspiration. If you want to send in your request, I'll take a look at it and maybe add that character to my misc. masterlist if I can come up with a fic!

☕ Carridane Farrier
Haven't read the third book yet, but I am in LOVE with how Dickinson uses Farrier, in two regards specifically: his metaphorical use as a political ideology, and his relationship with the OTHER major metaphorical character, Cosgrad Torrinde.
I might be using misleading language when I say Itinerant and Hesychast are metaphors; its more that they both employ their belief systems to such a massive degree that there is little about them that ISN'T their beliefs made manifest. Farrier is a monster of meritocracy and neoliberal imperialism, Torrinde of fascism, and that is what it is to be them.
Even what little personality they display seem like natural extensions of their politics: Farrier is charming, open to new ideas, ready and willing to learn from new cultures (or at least their surface-level aspects). He is occasionally self-effacing, and willing to laugh along with the satirist griots making fun of Falcrest and its strict customs: after all, the people of Falcrest are not yet perfect, and as people are what their culture makes them, Falcresti culture must not yet be perfect. It would be foolish to push back all foreign practices when they could point the way towards improvement.
But that doesn’t mean he sees other cultures as equal to Falcrest. He is, after all, the Cryptarch most fond of unleashing a good plague, burning the keepers of old culture while collecting children in his walled-off schools to learn Falcresti ways, releasing them as good incrastic citizens. They need to be taught the right of things, after all. Saved from their own ways. And Farrier is the surgeon’s hand who severs them from their culture, the smiling voice who pitches friend against friend, the paternalistic force who doesn’t tell them that he knows best but nevertheless forces everyone around him to believe it. He wants you to be your best self, and will kill your father so the grief will motivate you to achieve it.
In contrast, Torrinde is proud, always willing to show off his bodily perfection (though this doesn’t extend to his member, demonstrating his prudishness and discomfort with the sexual). He is noted by the Oriati to be excessively disgusted by nudity and fertilizer—the twinning of the two together suggesting that he views them as fundamentally of the same nature. There is some neurological evidence that conservative political beliefs are positively correlated with strong disgust responses, and Hesychast operates accordingly: his fear of racial degeneracy and impure acts is the same as the fear of creeping rot and infectious parasites. Its no wonder he programmed the Clarified by using threats of maggots. More than fear of the impure, however, Torrinde is afraid of the world itself:
Tumblr media
As much as he styles himself a scientist, Hesychast is someone who has constructed a theory of how the world works and is relentlessly trying to force the square peg of the world in all its complexity into the round hole of simple hierarchies and distinct categories. Farrier seems much more willing to embrace a chaotic picture of the world; like his favorite accountant, he recognizes that the world is made up of thousand of interlocking forces, moving together in a tangled melody. And he can to that tune exceptionally well.
But more than any of the contrasts one can draw between Itinerant and Hesychast, it’s their relationship to each other that makes them both so brilliant. That they both hate each other, are both working towards goals that are obstensibly not only different but opposite, yet work under the same master to the same ends—it is a level of subtle storytelling that I needed.
There of course could have been the option of having them be uncomplicated enemies, having Farrier be the hero to Torrinde’s villain, in a way that so many other stories have done. It feels natural, familiar, the path of least resistance—of course the man who believes everyone has a chance at greatness is the hero, and the racist eugenicist the villain. By showing them instead working together, by clearly displaying Farrier’s atrocities, Dickinson shows how powers parading around false egalitarianism and a toothless aesthetic of cosmopolitanism can pursue the same ends as out-and-proud racist fascist powers, even as they fights fascist forces in many areas.
I also think that making them actually hate each other is almost as important though—depicting neoliberal meritocrats as all just being masked fascists is an unhelpful oversimplification, one that leads to misleading rhetoric and misguided strategy. Recognizing that they hate each other even as they replicate each other is necessary to defeating both of them.

I mean I've got to ask about our Queen(Administrator) for the bingo
Tumblr media
Hey, we got a bingo!
You know, I always am a little bit surprised when I go back to the start of Worm, expecting Taylor to act all innocent and sniveling, and then the first chapter is her looking into the mirror repeating "I will not go full Carrie on the school I will not go full Carrie on the school" to herself as a million insects blacken the walls around her.
The events of Worm can sometimes make it seem like Taylor was an idealist who just stumbled into villainy, as if her main motivation for hero-ing was wanting to protect anyone or clean up the streets. But no, she was just thinking about how it would really stick it to Emma that her victim was a cape. Huddled in her basement, building a costume as hundreds of black widows crawl on her worktable, muttering how "She'll see! They'll all see!" This was not an attitude conductive to a long career in heroism.
